A dusk knight's thoughts: the real and the not
I'm not the best at writing down my thoughts. I'm more of a doer, a mover, a shaker, and any other bullshit term to keep this going longer than it needs to.
But before I get sidetracked and waste more ink, I do want to talk about a few things. Things that have kept me alive despite the amount of times I've gone out of my way to piss off some bigwigs and dreadlords and the like. Maybe my dumb ramblings will help others keep their heads on their shoulders while doing the same.
First item on the list, being real.
You remember when you were a kid and you thought something was under your bed? That gnawing fear that something no one can see is gonna get ya? You think it's just for kids, but when you play your cards right you get the adults running scared too.
Always start as the boogeyman. The monster under the bed. Because when you're actually out there? When they know you're a real threat?
Then they can put an arrow between your eyes. When you're real there's a chance you end up real dead.
Start out as a legend. A shadow. Leave absolutely no traces. Get their heads spinning with tales that make you sound like their worst nightmare.
Of course, I feel the need to repeat something I still gotta tell myself. We're still paladins. We got codes and oaths and a way of doing things. So you gotta remember that you're doing this for a reason.
Let your shadow grow. Send evil running back to their mommas crying, because your first job as a dusk knight is to tell these bastards that someone else owns the night now.

The iconic page is officially up!
Below the cut will be the details laid out on the page.
Not every act of good can be done in the open, laying your intentions bare, to stand against the night with burning fury.
Sometimes good men must hide in the shadows.
Name: Aedesh Meredis
age: 21
personality: He is very鈥isconcerting, speaking softly and slowly, and tends to accidentally sneak up on people .
He is used to being an outcast, so tends to get attached to anyone who shows him kindness, becoming fiercely loyal. He is also very disorganized, usually keeping his work area a mess.
Another important aspect to his personality is that he puts the many before the self. He believes that if you can do something that helps out the community, you should do it.
鈥e does have a bit of a pettiness problem though.
class: Paladin, dusk knight archetype
alignment: Neutral Good. He aims to live by the tenets laid before him by his goddess, he doesn鈥檛 care much for law and order. 聽He just wants to do good, and help when needed.
Of course, he still follows the tenets of 聽his goddess, Imenand.(Credit goes to burning-torch, as she helped me come up with the name and spheres of influence.)
species: Half Elf, half goblin.
Aedesh was born to Hadrish and Tufte Meridis in the town of Trisala, built high in the mountains to the southeast. Being born from an interspecies relationship netted him a few odd looks during his childhood, and his career in hiding began early as he wasn鈥檛 exactly big enough to stand up to these bullies.
His penchant for going unseen would end up aiding him through every battle, even helping his village hide from western invaders while he was 17.
His act of heroism went unheard, and life returned to normal for everyone else.
Of course, there is a patron to the unheard, the acts of heroism performed in the dark.
A patron who watched over the ruins of the temple he risked his life to find, the very temple that housed an entire village during that fateful night. He found himself taking an oath to Immenand, the unsung goddess of nightly hunts and hidden sanctuaries , patron (some legends cite her as the mother) of the massive mountain dogs found near his village.
In the halls that used to belong to the knights of Immenand, he swore to:
shelter the weak and downtrodden
become the night, move like shadow
and to always unmask evil, expose them, for they do not deserve to sully the night鈥檚 embrace.
_
While his martial skills were lacking, over the years he learned to embody everything a knight of Immenand could, becoming a local hero, and a thorn in the side of thieves and local raiders, eventually planting the seeds of a new order of silent protectors.
He would never take credit for this, and no one would remember his name. He may not live long enough to see this order flourish.
But a good deed is still a good deed, even in the dark.

Note
1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 14 for the D&D character ask
1) What is their full name, and does it have any special relevance? Alternatively, what nicknames do they have?
Aedesh Meredis. The last name is elven, but there鈥檚 nothing important about it. His nicknames include mouse, fluffy, and scamp.
2) What hobby would they like to be good at?
He wants to be better at landscape painting, he doesn鈥檛 have time to practice as much as he used to.
4) If they could go back in time and change one thing, what would they change?
He鈥檚..not much of a fan of time travel, but if he had to choose...
He would choose to go back and take the head of at least one of those invaders.
5) What is their favourite weapon to wield?
a tie between his hunting bow and his kukri. He likes the feeling of lining up a perfect shot, but the kukri is just...a kukri. It feels awesome to wield and he does care a bit about aesthetics.
10) What is their favourite colour?
gold and red
14) If they could own any creature as a pet, what would they have?
In the backstory(That I still need to finish but y鈥檃ll can read it by adding /iconic to my url) his goddess is the patron of the large mastiffs found around his mountain home, so having one of those would help with his image.
