Ένα από τα σημαντικότερα έργα του θεατρικού ρεαλισμού του 20ου αιώνα, Το τραμ με το όνομα «Πόθος» του Τένεσι Ουίλιαμς, ανεβαίνει στο Δημοτικό Θέατρο Πειραιά σε μετάφραση Αντώνη Γαλέου, σκηνοθεσία Μιχαήλ Μαρμαρινού, σκηνικά-κοστούμια Εύας Νάθενα και μουσική Άγγελου Τριανταφύλλου (Πρεμιέρα Παρασκευή 2 Φεβρουαρίου).

Το έργο…

Το τραμ με το όνομα «Πόθος» του Τένεσι Ουίλιαμς (όπως είναι η ακριβής μετάφραση του πρωτότυπου τίτλου) έχει μια μακρά όσο και ευτυχή πορεία στη διεθνή θεατρική σκηνή, από το πρώτο ανέβασμα το 1947 στη Νέα Υόρκη, ενώ η ταινία του Ελία Καζάν με τη Βίβιαν Λι και τον Μάρλον Μπράντο παραμένει στο πάνθεον του παγκόσμιου κινηματογράφου.

Χρόνος; 1947. Τόπος; Νέα Ορλεάνη. Η ιστορία; Η Μπλανς, καθηγήτρια από το Νότο επισκέπτεται στη Νέα Ορλεάνη την αδελφή της Στέλλα, που ζει με τον άνδρα της Στάνλεϋ. Η Μπλανς βλέπει υποτιμητικά τον Στάνλεϋ, λόγω της καταγωγής του αλλά και του οξύθυμου και ακατέργαστου χαρακτήρα του, στοιχεία που καθηλώνουν την Στέλλα σε μια σχέση που κυριαρχείται από το ωμό πάθος. Η εύθραυστη και με ευγενική καταγωγή Μπλανς βρίσκεται σε συνεχή αντιπαράθεση με τον Στάνλεϋ και η συγκατοίκηση μαζί του αποτελεί την αφετηρία για να ξεδιπλωθεί το ομιχλώδες παρελθόν της και να αναπτυχθεί μια σχέση πάθους και μίσους, που κλονίζει για πάντα τις ευαίσθητες ισορροπίες των ηρώων.

Κοινωνικές και προσωπικές αντιλήψεις, κρυφοί πόθοι και ανομολόγητες λέξεις, τραυματισμένες μνήµες και όνειρα ανεκπλήρωτα, ένας κόσμος φοβισμένος «συνω��τίζεται» μέσα στο … τραμ με το όνομα «Πόθος» .

Μα, τι μουσική είναι αυτή που έρχεται από τη γωνία;

Ας δούμε τι πραγματικά μπορεί να συμβεί όταν αυτά τα αλύτρωτα πρόσωπα από το θρυλικό “tram named “desire””, το θρυλικό τραμ με την ονομασία “Πόθος”, συναντηθούν με κάποια άλλα αλύτρωτα, πιο κοντινά μας , ηθοποιούς αυτή τη φορά, σε μια εξίσου σκληρή εποχή κατάρρευσης πρώην ονείρων, σε κάποιαν άλλη γειτονιά που κι αυτή ξέρει από ισορροπίες που αναπτύσσονται δύσκολες κοντά στα νερά – είτε πρόκειται για λιμάνι, είτε πρόκειται για ένα ποτάμι μυθικό που γέννησε απ τα νερά τον πόνο και τα οριστικά τραγούδια των νέγρων.

Synopsis: Parker Baldwin, a highly successful and meticulous talk show host who plans everything to a T, finds her Christmas plans upended when her network persuades her to spend three days in the wild with superstar adventurer & television survivalist Finn Holt for a holiday television event. The two butt heads until they find themselves stranded together in the wild with no food, unreliable shelter and no form of communication. Unexpectedly impacting each other, they come to realize life is the greatest adventure.

The comedy chums are teaming up for the Keith and Paddy Picture Show, where their famous friends will help them recreate classic movies like Rocky, Jaws and Dirty Dancing as half-hour specials.

Paddy will step into the ring as the Italian Stallion to battle Apollo Creed (Marvin Humes) and Mr T (Andi Peters), with his loving wife Adrian (Anna Friel) in his corner.

The 44-year-old was alleged to have made a number of transphobic comments on Twitter last year, and was questioned by officers from West Yorkshire Police following a complaint from Ms Green.

And then she was later interviewed by Wiltshire Police following two You-Tube clips in which she criticised Ms Green for supporting her daughter’s transition, as revealed by The Daily Telegraph today.

The news comes after Caroline Farrow, a broadcaster and writer for Roman Catholic newspapers, revealed on Tuesday that she was being investigated by Surrey Police after allegedly calling Ms Green’s daughter a ‘he’ on Twitter.

The first case against Ms Keen-Minshull, who has labelled the investigations a ‘waste of time’, was closed with no further action taken.

And speaking to The Daily Telegraph, claimed she was entitled to her comments on YouTube, saying: ‘I think it is outrageous that police are wasting valuable time investigating people because their views might not be liked. It is McCarthyist and it is terribly frightening.’

Ms Keen-Minshull, of the charity Standing Up For Women, previously came under fire when in September last year she raised £700 for a billboard with the definition of a woman written on it to be set up in Liverpool.

The poster, on the side of the old Gaumont cinema on Gredington Street in Toxteth, Liverpool, bore the Google definition of a woman – ‘adult human female.’

But it was removed after Dr Adrian Harrop, 31, who is not transgender, complained to billboard company Primesight that it would serve to make transgender women feel unsafe.

Ms Green today revealed that she plans to withdraw her complaint to police about Ms Farrow because she fears the row is giving the broadcaster and writer ‘a platform’.

The row began over tweets posted after they appeared on TV together last year – and has since sparked a row over whether police should be spending time examining tweets rather than pumping more resources into tackling violence and theft.

Ms Green told the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire: ‘Every day, people misgender my daughter online, that wasn’t uncommon. What was uncommon was that this was a journalist who had a public platform, who used that to send very malicious and nasty messages.

‘It’s not just the misgendering, it’s actually the context that she puts it into and that she calls me a child abuser… it’s also the stuff around mutilation and castration. It was the really damaging things she said about me.’

Ms Green was asked whether she thought that, though upsetting, the tweets were a matter for police.

She said that was up to the police and prosecutors, but as the founder of a charity which advises others to report hate crime, she felt she should report it.

Adding that she is now withdrawing her complaint, she said: ‘If I had continued my complaint then Caroline Farrow would have continued to have a platform to spread misinformation about what actually happened. Being involved in an investigation would have meant that I couldn’t talk.’

The original tweets posted by Ms Farrow on October 4 were read out on air yesterday.

One stated: ‘What she [Susie Green] did is illegal. She mutilated him by having him castrated and rendered sterile while still a child.’

Another tweet accused Ms Green and her charity of ‘child abuse’.

Ms Farrow tweeted on Wednesday morning: ‘All I have been told by Surrey Police that I ‘misgendered Susie Green’s daughter’.

In 2012 her daughter Jackie Green made history when she became the first transgender Miss England finalist.

Jackie, who was born Jack and spent her childhood trying to persuade her parents she had been born in to the wrong body, said: ‘I knew from the start that I was a girl, it was just actually having the vocabulary to make people understand.

‘I would have had the surgery at five years old if I could. After the surgery it felt like starting life for the first time.

‘Loads of kids go through stages, some people go down the transgender route and then change their minds, mostly because they don’t have the support of their family.

‘At primary school I dressed as a boy for the majority of the time. The kids understood and just took it in their stride.

‘But secondary school was horrible. I was being spat on, being beaten up and called so many different names. The parents were the worst.

‘I was prescribed ‘blockers’ by a doctor in Boston when was I was twelve. It basically paused puberty and it saved my life. I would have killed myself. I wouldn’t have been able to cope.’

When Jackie was aged just four she told her mother Susan: ‘God has made a mistake, I should be a girl.’

Trapped in a body she hated, Jackie first overdosed aged 11 and made six more suicide attempts before she was 15. Medicines were locked in a safe and knives had to be hidden away. She threatened to mutilate her genitals.

And so, aged 16, Jackie Green became the youngest person in the world to undergo transgender surgery.

She said:’Without that surgery, I wouldn’t be here now.

‘I’m a girl, I always have been – there’s never been any doubt in my mind about that. It’s just that my body didn’t match because, as far as I’m concerned, I had a birth defect.’

Μετά από ένα συναρπαστικό ταξίδι γυρισμάτων διάρκειας 6 μηνών υπό τη σκηνοθετική ματιά του Γιάννη Σμαραγδή, ήρθε η στιγμή να πάρουμε μια «κλεφτή ματιά» της νέας του ταινίας με τίτλο «Καζαντζάκης». Το πρώτο teaser της πολυαναμενόμενης προσωπογραφίας κυκλοφορεί επίσημα στην ιστοσελίδα της ταινίας www.kazantzakismovie.com.

Αποσπασματικά καρέ, μεμονωμένα gros plan, δείγματα ερμηνείας και χρώματα μιας άλλης εποχής αποτυπώνουν μέσα σε λίγα δευτερόλεπτα το νέο όραμα του κορυφαίου σκηνοθέτη Γιάννη Σμαραγδή.

Ο μεγάλος οικουμενικός συγγραφέας Νίκος Καζαντζάκης έλεγε πως η ζωή του ορίζεται από τα ταξίδια και τα όνειρά του. Αυτά τα μονοπάτια ακολούθησε και η ταινία, τα γυρίσματα της οποίας πραγματοποιήθηκαν στην Κρήτη, την Αθήνα, την Αίγινα, τη Νότια Γαλλία, το Βερολίνο και τη Βιέννη. Το φιλμ που βρίσκεται στο στάδιο της μεταπαραγωγής (post production) έχει προγραμματισθεί να προβληθεί στις αίθουσες τον Νοέμβριο του τρέχοντος έτους από την Audio Visual, μια χρονιά που έχει κηρυχθεί Έτος Νίκου Καζαντζάκη, γιορτάζοντας τα 60 χρόνια από το θάνατό του. Η Audio Visual είχε επίσης αναλάβει τη διανομή της ταινίας EL GRECO με το αξεπέραστο ρεκόρ των 1.200.000 εισιτηρίων.

Τον κεντρικό χαρακτήρα Νίκο Καζαντζάκη υποδύεται με ιδιοφυή τρόπο ο Οδυσσέας Παπασπηλιόπουλος και η σπουδαία Μαρίνα Καλογήρου την σύντροφό του Ελένη. Ο οκτάχρονος Αλέξανδρος Καμπαξής υποδύεται τον μικρό Νίκο Καζαντζάκη, ενώ ο Στέφανος Ληναίος υποδύεται τον συγγραφέα σε πολύ ώριμη ηλικία.

Ένα πλήθος εκλεκτών ηθοποιών πλαισιώνουν τους πρωταγωνιστές.

Ο Αργύρης Ξάφης υποδύεται τον πατέρα του Καζαντζάκη και η Μαρία Σκουλά τη μητέρα του. Τον Άγγελο Σικελιανό ενσαρκώνει ο Νίκος Καρδώνης, την σύζυγό του Εύα η Αμαλία Αρσένη, την Ίτκα η Γιούλικα Σκαφιδά, τον Ζιλ Ντασέν ο Alexandros Kollatos, τη Μελίνα Μερκούρη η Ζέτα Δούκα, το Δρ. Χαϊλμάγιερ ο Adrian Frieling, στο ρόλο της «Καλής Μάγισσας» η Anthoula Katsimatides και στο ρόλο του Δρ. Στέκελ, μια εμφάνιση έκπληξη από τον Νίκο Μαρινάκο. Άλλοι άξιοι ηθοποιοί που παίρνουν μέρος στην ταινία είναι η Όλγα Δαμάνη και η Έρση Μαλικένζου, ο Πάνος Σκουρολιάκος, ο Τάκης Παπαματθαίου, ενώ στο ρόλο του Γιώργη Ζορμπά είναι ο καταπληκτικός Θοδωρής Αθερίδης.

Τον Ηγούμενο της Μονής Σινά υποδύεται ο Στάθης Ψάλτης. Ο ξαφνικός χαμός του είναι μεγάλη απώλεια για το χώρο του θεάματος, ωστόσο, άφησε το τελευταίο καλλιτεχνικό του ίχνος στην ταινία Καζαντζάκης με μια συγκλονιστική ερμηνεία και πρωτοφανή πνευματικότητα.

Το σενάριο της ταινίας στηρίζεται στο βιβλίο του συγγραφέα Αναφορά στον Γκρέκο, το οποίο παραχώρησαν γενναιόδωρα οι Εκδόσεις Καζαντζάκη.

Η ταινία είναι γυρισμένη στα ελληνικά, για να ακουστεί ο κρουστός ελληνικός λόγος του Καζαντζάκη, ενώ ακούγονται και διάλογοι στα γαλλικά και τα γερμανικά.

Οι βασικοί συντελεστές της ταινίας είναι ο σκηνοθέτης/σεναριογράφος Γιάννης Σμαραγδής, οι παραγωγοί Ελένη Σμαραγδή και Αλέξανδρος Σμαραγδής, ο Γάλλος συμπαραγωγός Vincent Michaud, ο διευθυντής φωτογραφίας Άρις Σταύρου, ο μουσικοσυνθέτης Μίνως Μάτσας, ο ενδυματολόγος/σκηνογράφος Γιώργος Πάτσας, η μοντέζ Στέλλα Φιλιπποπούλου, ο ηχολήπτης Άρης Αθανασόπουλος.

Η ταινία πραγματοποιήθηκε χάρις στην στήριξη πολλών και εξαιρετικών ατόμων και οργανισμών. Συμπαραγωγοί της ταινίας από την Ελλάδα είναι η Nova, το Ελληνικό Κέντρο Κινηματογράφου και η Νέλλη Κάτσου, ενώ αναμένεται η συμμετοχή της ΕΡΤ. Αξίζει να αναφέρουμε ότι η ταινία είναι μια ελληνογαλλική συμπαραγωγή σε συνεργασία με την γαλλική εταιρεία 2017 Films.

Μέγας χορηγός της ταινίας είναι η Εθνική Τράπεζα, η Aegean και πάρα πολλοί άλλοι, Κρήτες και μη. Ειδικά από την Κρήτη, όπου απ’ άκρη σ’ άκρη, άνοιξε την αγκαλιά της για να πραγματοποιηθούν τα γυρίσματα.

Las ocho series de estreno que debes ver en diciembre

Falta menos de un mes para que 2017 eche el cierre pero antes todavía quedan series por descubrir y otras a las que reengarcharse. Misterio, humor o historia son algunos de los géneros que llegarán durante este mes de diciembre a sus pantallas, bien de televisión, de ordenador, tableta, ‘smartphone’ o cualquier otro soporte que se le ocurra.

Estas son, probablemente (o no) las más destacadas y algunas ya están aquí:

Dark (Netflix) 1 de diciembre. La primera producción íntegramente alemana de la plataforna de televisión promete mucho, mucho misterio mezclado con ciencia ficción y sazonado con algo de drama familiar.

La trama ser desarrolla en el pueblo de Winden cuando desaparecen dos niños. A partir de ahí cuatro familias se verán implicadas en los sucesos y descubrirán que están unidas aunque no por buenos motivos. Por supuesto, los secretos de todos irán saliendo a la luz para desgracia de los implicados.

The Orville (Sky) 1 de diciembre. Seth McFarlane creador de ‘Padre de Familia’ y ‘American Dad’ es el creador de esta descarada parodia de ‘Star Trek’ dirigida por Jon Favreau. El propio McFarlane protagoniza la serie en la que da vida a Ed Mercer, el comandante de la nave Orville Wright (en alusión a uno de los hermanos Wright) que ha escapado de casa después de concer la infidelidad de su mujer para vivir aventuras intergalácticas.

Knightfall (HBO) 7 de diciembre. La historia de los caballeros templarios siempre ha sido una fuente de misterio para investigadores e historiadores de todo el mundo. Ahora, HBO repasa las gestas de esta orden medieval.

Son diez capítulos en los que se contarán acontecimientos vividos por la orden como la caída del último bastión de los Templarios en Tierra Santa (el primer episodio), la caída de Acre, donde el Santo Grial ha desaparecido. El caballero Landry (Tom Cullen) protagoniza la serie y es quien lanza a su compañeros a la búsqueda de la copa de Cristo.

Amor, drama e historia épica se dan la mano en ‘Knightfall’, una de las grandes esperadas de este mes de diciembre.

Broken (Movistar Series) 18 diciembre. El experto en morir Sean Bean es el protagonista de este nuevo drama de la BBC que en España emitirá Movistar.

Bean es Michael Kerrigan un párroco de una pequeña localidad del norte de Inglaterra en la que tendrá que abordar temas como la homofobia, el racismo, la drogadicción y cómo las personas luchan para arreglarlo. Todo ello, intentando esconder un oscuro pasado

Completan el reparto Mark Stanley, Paula Malcolmson (Ray Donovan); Anna Friel (The Girlfriend Experience); y Adrian Dunbar (Line of Duty).

Gunpowder (HBO) 19 diciembre. Jon Snow, perdón, Kit Harrington, protagoniza esta miniserie de la BBC de tres episodios en los que interpreta a Robert Catesby, un caballero de 30 años de Warwickshirey, católico y comprometido en un momento en que la Inglaterra protestante persiguió a los miembros de la iglesia encarnizadamente.

Ambientada en el siglo XVII y basada en la historia real de la llamada ‘conspiración de la pólvora’ completa el reparto Mark Gatis (Sherlock), Peter Mullan (Top of the lake) y Liv Tyler (El señor de los anillos).

Happy (SyFy9 1 de diciembre. Basada en una de las mayores tontadas que ha hecho Grant Morrison. Cuenta la ‘colaboración’ entre un expolicía y el amigo imaginario de una niña para encontrarla. No es un drama es una serie policiaca y gamberra algo psicodélica que va unida a su parte fantástica.

Nick Sax, un es el ex policía alcohólico y corrupto que vaga por un mundo de asesinatos, sexo y traición. Un día comienza a hablar con un caballo de alas azul, todo producto de su imaginación, pero implacablemente positivo para el desgaste de Sax. La presencia de Happy cambia la vida de Nick para siempre.

Jean-Claude Van Johnson (Amazon Prime) 15 de diciembre. Un Van Damme debe retomar su carrera artística para seguir con sus misiones encubiertas. Una serie de comedia con toques de acción que sigue al actor Jean-Claude Van Damme interpreta una versión ficticia de sí mismo.

Johnson debe usar como tapadera su trabajo como protagonista en una nueva versión de Huckleberry Finn, reimaginada como una cinta de acción. Desde esta posición, Johnson se encuentra una vez más en el centro del peligro, un peligro que ansía en secreto. Estas acciones lo ponen una vez más en contacto con su compañera, Vanessa, el gran amor de su vida.

Wormwood (Netflix) 15 de diciembre. Una serie documental o docudrama de seis episodios que explora los límites del conocimiento sobre el pasado y los caminos que recorremos en busca de la verdad. Una historia retorcida y cambiante de un hombre que ha estado 60 años intentando averiguar las circunstancias de la misteriosa muerte de su padre, ligado al proyecto MK Ultra.

Vikingos (TNT y Sky) 6 de diciembre. Nada más y nada menos que la quinta temporada de esta producción del Canal Historia que comenzó sin grandes ambiciones. Su narración poderosa y directa, como los propios vikingos, la han convertido en un referente de las series históricas.

La cuarta temporada acabó un suceso que ha marcado a la serie profundamente. Sin embargo, Michael Hirst, su creador, promete todavía más sangre en esta nueva etapa

Además, ha confesado cual sería su final perfecto para la serie: «Quiero seguir acompañando a los vikingos en sus viajes a otros mundos. En la quinta temporada me encantaría que Bjor viajase al Mediterráneo, que llegue a España, al desierto. Me gustaría llegar a Islandia, incluso Groelandia. El final ideal serían los hijos de Ragnar saliendo desde Groelandia en barco y, cuando estén muertos de hambre y sed, que aparezca un paisaje verde lleno de árboles con un letrero que dijera ‘América’. Y que se acabe ahí».

The Crown (Netflix) 8 de diciembre. La serie que aborda la vida y obra de la actual reina de Inglaterra continúa con su segunda temporada que nos llevará hasta la década de los sesenta, la guerra ilegal en Egipto, la caída de su tercer primer ministro Harold Macmillan tras un devastador escándalo.

‘The Crown’ ha sido un gran éxito de crítica y público desde el primer momento y ha cosechado un buen número de premios. El Globo de Oro a Mejor Serie de Drama y Mejor Actriz o el Premio del Sindicato de Actores a sus dos protagonistas, Claire Foy y John Lithgow, han sido algunos de ellos.

Las chicas del cable (Netflix) 25 de diciembre. La segunda temporada de esta producción española para la plataforma audiovisual continuará dando entrada a nuevos personajes junto a las ya fijas Lidia, Carlota, Ángeles y Marga.

Durante esta nuev etapa las cuatro deberán guardar un secreto que las hará más fuertes. Blanca Suárez, Nadia de Santiago, Ana Fernández y Maggie Civantos protagonizan la segunda temporada junto a Ana Polvorosa, Martiño Rivas, Yon González, Borja Luna, Nico Romero y Sergio Mur. El nuevo reparto incluye a Ernesto Alterio y Andrea Caballo, entre otros.

Black Mirror (Netflix) cuarta temporada 29 de diciembre. Finalmente hoy Netflix ha anunciado la fecha de extreno de ‘Black Mirror’ y sí, ha elegido el final de este mes ago lógico dada la intensa campaña publicitaria de las últimas semanas en las que se han dado a conocer los pósters y tráilers de los capítulos de esta nueva entrega. Además, se conocen desde hace tiempo las sinopsis y distintos datos técnicos de la nueva tanda de episodios que serán cuatro como en otras ocasiones:

• Arkangel. Jodie Foster dirige este espisodio centrado en una madre coraje que hará lo que sea necesario para protoger a su hija, hasta instalarse un chip en el cerebro.

• Crocodile, el segundo capítulo conocido, narra la historia de una tecnología que permite acceder a los recuerdos de las personas y que será utilizado por una mujer para develar la verdad tras un accidente; Asimismo.

• Black Museum, tercer episodio, se centra en un museo del crimen con una escalofriante atracción principal de realidad virtual. No es la primera vez que ‘Black Mirror’ aborda el tema de la realidad virtual. Ya lo hizo, por ejemplo, en ‘Playstesting’ el segundo capítulo de la temporada 3.

• Hang the DJ, Frank y Amy se han suscrito a un sistema de citas en el que podrán conocer desde el primer momento cómo será su relación.

• Cabeza de Metal. El primer capítulo de la historia de ‘Black Mirror’ en blanco y negro. Su sinopsis es tan inquietante o más que la cualquier otro episodio de esta serie: Un acosador sin piedad empuja a un trío de carroñeros hasta los límites más insospechados.

• USS Callister. El capitán Daly y su tripulación exploran la galaxia y los peligros de planetas desconocidos. Los que se encuentran bajo su mando deberán demostrar su máxima lealtad.
