What is the sun without the moon?

Altair's best friend, Adrastea.
Name: Adrastea
Gender: female
Height: 6'8"
"I wonder if man appreciates Mother as I do. Who is she in their young, ambitious eyes?"
"Fear not, what you are witnessing is not real. I must ask that you forgive me; I'm afraid I cannot help myself at times. I have heard this referred to as a 'prank'."
"W-Whereabouts did you come from? Have you...always been there? D-Do not come closer. Not a step closer, not even a small fraction of a step. You...You stay put."
This is Adrastea, a mysterious but benevolent figure from beyond our stars with a strong connection to our moon. Her ability to create lifelike illusions and distort reality is at its peak when the full moon is at its perigee and a new moon at its apogee will have her at her weakest. She specializes in distorting how we view faces and figures and could turn your best friend's familiar visage into that of a horrifying beast with ease. On the night of a blue moon, Adrastea's power reaches new, terrifying heights, to the point where even she can't distinguish reality from illusion. As her powers intensify with the everchanging moon, so do her emotions, slowly shifting from stone faced stoicism to a wild and irrational whirlwind. Adrastea is most like her true self on the night of the waxing half moon: an insightful, wise and compassionate being with some whimsical and neurotic tendencies. She's willing to share her vast knowledge of the cosmos, as long as you're willing to listen. She's a little jumpy and doesn't like surprises or sudden change, preferring to stick to a strict routine. While she's aware of her magic growing more powerful with the moon, she's unaware of the emotional changes that come with it. One thing remains constant: her attachment to the moon and the stars. Adrastea refers to the moon as her mother and the stars her family. She wants to know everything there is about these wonderful celestial bodies and as the universe is continually expanding and new stars are born, there will always more to know. She doesn't like big cities or towns where all the lights make it difficult to see the sky. As a nocturnal creature, Adrastea seems to vanish entirely during the waking hours and only ventures out in the cover of night.
