Maranda and others in Guduta, a remote tribal village in India’s eastern Odisha state that rests in a seemingly endless forest landscape, are “Adivasis,” or Indigenous tribespeople, who adhere to Sarna Dharma.
The government does not legally acknowledge their faith — a fact that is increasingly becoming a rallying point for change for some of the 5 million or so Indigenous tribespeople in the country who follow Sarna Dharma. They say formal recognition would help preserve their culture and history in the wake of the slow erosion of Indigenous tribespeople’s rights in India.
Citizens are only allowed to align themselves with one of India’s six officially recognized religions — Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Jainism and Sikhism.
The protests have gained momentum after the recent election of Droupadi Murmu, the first tribal woman to serve as India’s president, raising hopes that her historic win will bring attention to the needs of the country’s Indigenous population, which is about 110 million people as per the national census.

so far, nearly 3 weeks on from the inauguration of ram mandir, indian authorities have demolished as many masjids and/or madrasas.
30.01.24 - akhoonji masjid & madrasa in delhi, also destroying a cemetery, shrine and all the students’ belongings in the process.
01.02.24 - a madrasa in maharashtra despite facing opposition from local muslims and one day before its scheduled court appeal.
08.02.24 - a masjid & madrasa in uttarakhand. this comes one day after uttarakhand became the first state to pass the uniform civil code (x, x) which aims to apply a ‘hindu code’ to all indians, infringing on the rights of dalits, adivasis, sikhs, christians, buddhists and muslims (i.e. anybody non-hindu) to practice their religion/lifestyle. muslim women protesting the demolition were lathi-charged (beaten with sticks) by police, a shoot-on-sight order was given resulting in 6 muslims killed and 300+ injured in the riots that followed, a curfew was put in place during which hindutva mobs burned down muslim homes and businesses while shouting abuse at muslims.
as always, no prior notice was given and bjp used it’s gold-standard excuse for each demolition, citing ‘illegal encroachment’.
in addition to these masjid demolitions, indian authorities bulldozed 2 neighbourhoods (ghettos, really) in the same timeframe and also without prior notice:
01.02.24 - jasola slum, which, having been around for at least 16 years, should not have been demolished without providing alternative housing, as the delhi slum policy states for slums which came up before 2015. obviously, housing hasn’t been provided.
06.02.24 - panchsheel nagar in mumbai which, having been around since 2011, entitled residents to paid rehabilitation, which has also not been given. this has left over 110 families homeless.
the demographic of both neighbourhoods, surprise surprise, is overwhelmingly muslim, buddhist and dalit.
bjp is enjoying the cover it is receiving from israel’s genocide in palestine to do whatever it wants and is getting bolder by the day. this ‘bulldozer justice’ has been happening for years, but not at such a rapid rate as it is now.

damn i love my religion but these entitled privileged brahmins need to shut the fuck up and stop victimising themselves and then blame the lower castes and adivasis when they don't get their desired seat like your gods modi adani ambani and advani are hellbent on wiping off adivasis and that is why these fuckers like to call them naxals and forest dwellers to justify ousting them out of their fucking homes good god no wonder users like hindulivesmatter magic-coffee vindhyavihasini are defending a fucking genocide these braindead genocidal maniacs. i know we should not spread such distaste against anyone but damn these people i feel so sick going through their blogs they are not even hiding that they want india to be a hindu rashtra don't they know if india does become a hindu rashtra, their rights over properties will be taken away, their husbands can marry again and more patriarchal casteist bullshit these nazi apologists can pull out. and absolutely seeing a radfem terf hindulivesmatter suddenly care about ram ji accepting trans people right before ram mandir fucking cunts. people who they think are "hinduphobic" and stalk their accounts are most of the times hindus themselves, and most all of them queer people themselves. so by that logic does it not mean these people are harassing queer people on this fucking site. forgive me for my rage but i used to follow some people who used to reblog these users and i am so fucking ashamed of them and myself. like they deny sati ever existed, IT DID THERE ARE RECORDS EVEN BEFORE JAUHAR. they say casteism is a western concept, the SAME PERSON WHO SAID THAT LITERALLY SAID SHUDRAS SHOULD NOT ENTER TEMPLES. like the hindutva mania is getting into children i am scared what these people will do to us as whole.
i saw the stuff your mutuals post and they're so funny it's hilarious how hindutvadis lose their minds over posts that doesn't even concern them.

i am lucky for many reasons but i cannot thank my parents enough for not being insane hindutva freaks. and of course this is because they both had an inter caste and inter state love marriage in 1998 and both sets of my grandparents are from freedom fighter families affiliated with the original INC and ambedkarites so they were all very normal about everything (well most things (not misogyny)). i have adivasi and dalit friends i love and care for whose parents have just given in and it feels like there’s always bile in my throat about it because not only are these people who i love in pain within the country they can’t even escape that shit at home. atheist father “i believe in all religions” mother has saved my life many times over

India’s tribes demand recognition of their faith Mar. 27, 2024
India is home to around 100 million tribal people. Known by the umbrella term Adivasis, most of them reside in a handful of states in central and eastern India. They are nature worshippers and their faith is called Sarnaism. But it isn't recognized as one of India's major religions. Reporter Sushmita Pathak says Sarnaism supporters say that's unfair as they outnumber other faiths.

The whole premise of right wing's rage/fight rests on victimhood. That is, Hindus* are disadvantaged. Years of Congress rule has disadvantaged them. Why do they (read Muslims) have this and we don't, why do they not have this and we do?!**
Any cursory glance would tell you this is a lie. But the Hindutva army if it has to continue existing and if it has to grow then it has to invent and propagate more lies to keep up this charade. Not just that but it has to keep the pot boiling, giving its recruits not enough time to look away and see the lie that they are living in. But they don't have anything real to offer. So what do they do? They invent 'truths'. They give you easy traps. Point is to train your brain to think instantaneously. Make it habituated to simple 'truths'. Instant gratifications. You by now believe you're the victim. They just have to provide you with new lies that strengthen that victimhood. And since this new lie aligns with your false notion of victimhood, you won't think a layer deep on the new 'truth' served to you. We are by design habituated to trust the new information if part of it aligns with our beliefs.
Lemme illustrate with an example.
Tumblr media
Pause and try to think what could be wrong with this comparison. Both are true events. You know first. Second, a teacher did insult and a student did die by suicide over that insult. But still, there's a problem here.
If there is a bank there will also be people who want to rob that bank. Robbers don't come from space. They come from our own surroundings. Crime and criminals have existed since antiquity and will exist for as long as we exist. For you and me, crime and criminals are not a problem per se. They become our problem when those that we (through state or govt) have appointed (police/army) to deal with crime fail to do their job. It then becomes our problem.
In Jharkhand where that suicide death took place, the teacher who insulted that student was arrested by police. The moment law acts, the crime ceases to exist for common folk. There remains no need to outrage. There could be other reasons to protest still, depending upon nature of crime and why it was committed and if there exists pattern and such. Let's not go into them for now.
Now compare this with Muskan. Were those who went after her punished? Arrested? No. Meaning, the crime was not acted upon. Those who were to act did not do their job. And so there was natural act of protesting the abnormality.
All crimes need no outraging. But when state does not act or worse, stands in support of criminals, there will arise a need to outrage and protest. Simple. Think of many crimes committed by Muslims and Christians. They were all most likely punished for their crimes. And by and large no religious organisation would have supported them. Now think of crimes committed by Hindus. Take recent examples. Brij Bhushan Singh in Delhi and that guy who peed on a Adivasi in MP. Both had rallies of support. Singh from sadhus of Ayodhya and MP guy from Brahman samaj.
Then there's another aspect and a very important one. Aligning crime with community. Did a Hindu commit a crime? Did a Muslim? Again, let's go back to Jharkhand incident. A teacher insulted and was arrested. In between or after the arrest, was there any rally of support for the teacher? None. Nobody stood by the accused teacher. Meaning everyone considered what teacher did was wrong and the punishment warranted. Religion of the teacher was thus separated from the act of the teacher. Compare that with Muskan incident. Not just Hindu organizations but even the govt went after her. Saying what? The Hindus and the state aligned in fight against her. And thus the religion got itself intertwined in her case. Same with Asifa Bano in Kashmir. That 8 year old child was raped in a temple. If her rapists were immediately arrested and no rally of support took place then nobody would align religion to her rapists. But instead what did we do? Hindu anchors, lawyers and so many rallied in support of her rapists and murderers. Anchors on national TV took stand in support of her rapists. Hindu crowd took a rally out waving even tricolor in support of rapists. They were later convicted by court. Did anyone apologise for their stand? None. Meaning what? One, her rape was religious violence. Second, her rape and murders were supported by fellow religionists. Who in her case happens to be Hindus. I can go on but you get the gist.

TALK AROUND BOLLYWOOD FILM ‘THE KERALA STORY’ , & CONNECTED DISCUSSION ON #LOVEJIHAD - A TERM THAT ORIGINATED FROM THE CORE OF THE FILM’S SUBJECT.
#THEKERALASTORY! IN CINEMA HALLS NOW! & In my capacity & reputation as critic, that can clearly declare to be THE BEST BOLLYWOOD TRAILER TO HAVE EMERGED OUTTA TINSELTOWN FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME ! (And produced by Vipul Shah, so no surprises there!) TOPICAL, UNIVERSALLY & LOCALLY RELEVANT, & BRINGING BRILLIANT FILM STANDARDS INTO PLAY! THESE are the films that DESERVE to become BLOCKBUSTERS ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Jk3vquJDGs #TheKeralaStory Msm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRLPLug2T-Q #TheKeralaStory 's No. 1 Promoter ! From PM's Official Page! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-yeJyAlsvQ
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
#LOVEJIHAD DISCUSSION:
Many (especially liberals) may look at content & religious background of the film, & think it to be divisive & political.
But this channel has, for past 7 yrs, posted tweets against forced or sly conversions, & forever demanded Govt to ban conversions totally!
( Going by the accepted universal understanding of looking at SECULARISM as the focus on, the LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR of all religions under their purview, NOT on their HIGHEST COMMON FACTOR. Ie. Secularism as the focus on, multiplying all the various ethos uncommon to each to arrive at a final spirit ethos...thus fulfilling the essence of any religion (the anchor for human hope & positivity), namely TO UNIFY SPIRIT. Not the focus on, the highest common emotion, giving rise to each of these religions, thus destroying the very purpose of religion, namely TO RAISE & NOT SUBSIDE the human SPIRIT (spirit = prana shakti in Yogic terms).)
Tumblr media
Many journos like Swati Sharma etc, have posted literally 1000s of stories-vids of girls forced to convert to Islam by cruel force of different type or by marriage in guise of love, also under hidden id, but later asked to convert or else..
This film is a extreme but true eg. also highlighted by journos.
Do You Know-
The term #LoveJihad was given not by Hindus, but by Christian clergy in Kerala, seeing slew of cases coming to light in Kerala, in 2010, where Christian & Hindu girls were so picked up in love, & then taken to live in ISIS states.
(Watch 1:36-2:36) https://youtube.com/watch?v=GbHgEpQNZ0s
Not just Hindu, but Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, & Adivasi groups have protested against #LoveJihad-
1. https://youtube.com/watch?v=GbHgEpQNZ0s 2. https://youtube.com/watch?v=aEZZJa9N_4c 3. https://youtube.com/watch?v=eiG3NQ88Inc 4. https://youtube.com/watch?v=MS9fj43U0cQ 5. https://youtube.com/watch?v=_bsDOrRQNwg 6. https://youtube.com/watch?v=8K8jnB4tIR4 7. https://youtube.com/watch?v=BizhkIR2OoQ
Classic #LoveJihad pattern, observed by journo Swati Sharma, who's spent her entire career on it-
1.Muslim guy estg contact with Hindu girl u/false Hindu name. 2.When girl deep in love, reveals true id,& if protests, says: "Would you've gone ahead, if knew real id?" 3.Girl is thus ego-emo-plus-morally blackmailed, & marriage organized (ofcourse via Muslim custom),incl name & religion change in 5 mins, following which the Hindu girl is month by month, subtly yet surely made to abandon Hindu religious spirit.
& This she says is seen in 8/10 cases.
Watch from 20'-25'> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbHgEpQNZ0s
Journo Swati Shama says how herself alone receives atleast 5 cases daily, of #LoveJihad, which include cases of kidnapping, or murder, or cheating accusation made by the converted & spiritually harassed Hindu (now Muslim) wives.
Do you Know-
This larger term #LoveJihad that hung on many yrs,was defined as 'FALSE LOVE TRAP' by Allahabad High Court,in one of its orders, one of several such cases where it & many other courts have given orders punishing this tendency of marrying under false name/religious id.
Did You Know-
Records of few big 'Daava' ('Invitation to Islam') organizations, per journo Swati Sharma, nabbed by ATS few yrs back, show half 'convertees' in their books, were girls converted via marriage.
Giving rise to a perception of this as a 'modus operandi' in society.
(6:36-7:51)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=p0lEInEkh-k
Journo Swati Sharma further states, how outta the below cases of girls converted via marriage, in 'Daava' books, A LARGE % conversion cases ultimately involved the crimes of murder, being cut to pieces, & being burnt alive.
 (Watch 13:45-16:45)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=p0lEInEkh-k
AND THE BEST & INFACT ONLY SOLUTION, TO C-U-R-B THIS DISTURBING & CORROSIVE TREND, IS FOR GOVT TO B-A-N C-O-N-V-E-R-S-I-O-N-S TOTALLY !
You don't need to formally enshrine yourself in a particular religion, to follow it's best practices IN ETHOS & SPIRIT. WHICH IS KEY.
BUT YOU MUST NEED TO FORMALLY ACCLIMATIZE YOURSELF IN THE TRUE ADDITIVE & NOT SUBTRACTIVE SPIRIT PRACTICES OF YOUR & ALL SURROUNDING RELIGIONS, TO PROGRESS WELL ALONG THE SPIRITUAL PATH.

What is Sarna and Why Has There Been a Demand to Make it a Religion? - The Indian Tribal
The religious faith of the indigenous or native or tribal people, mainly the Scheduled Tribes, is called Sarna. The demand for Sarna Dharma Samhita is mainly arising because the tribal communities make it clear that they are not Hindus. Also, several tribal organizations claim that more than 49.57 lakh people living in 29 states and union territories across the country have mentioned 'other' instead of mentioning any particular religion in the religion column during the 2011 census. While choosing the option, he has told his religious beliefs to Sarna. https://theindiantribal.com/2023/04/03/variety-tribal-india-all-about-separate-sarna-religious-code-as-demand-by-adivasis-gathers-momentum-across-states/

Don't worry, Kashmir is healing now and your opinion about it doesn't matter. It will remain a part of India.
Also, Ambedkar wasn't the only one who brought in reservations or tried to uplift dalits and other mistreated castes. Without cooperation by other Hindus on this issue nothing would've been achieved. You may consider them and their religion evil, but that's far from reality.
I hope you can see the truth one day and stop bending yourself like a pretzel to justify your hatred for Hindus and their temple reclaiming. Ciao
You people will just not go away quietly huh. Do you think there's an award here for being the Most Annoying Person of the Day? Why would you even want to win that award?
"Your opinion does not matter." Are you saying this to the Kashmiri anon?!?! Completely neglecting to say anything beyond this on the matter? Spoken like a true settler colonialist, I must say.
Whatever rights that the dalit-bahujan and adivasi communities have today have been DESPITE upper caste Hindus and not because of them. These communities don't owe them shit.
The fact that you think me criticizing the ideology of Hindutva means that I'm hating all Hindus? Says more about you than it does about me.
The only request I have is to make your goodbyes final, in case you're the same anon from earlier. Talking to you has been thoroughly exhausting because you refuse to engage on even the most basic of concepts. I wonder if this is how you engage in conversation in real life too. For your sake, I hope not.
-Mod S
If our (and the Kashmiri anon)'s opinion did not matter, then why are you still here? Clearly it sets some fire under your ass to see us be ourselves in a space we created, as people raised in the Hindu faith. See, the difference between you and us? We're here and not bothering anyone about what we think and saying its the ONLY way to think about Hinduism. You guys are the ones who don't understand what it means for religion to be personal and not political.
We're not here to say Hinduism is evil. We're here to say its political arm is, that is, Hindutva. In fact, if you want my personal opinion on this, as an athiest who disavowes Hindu practices, I think it happens in all religions. Even Buddhism. Hell, I won't even defend athiests who step beyond their boundaries when mocking people from a particular faith.
But okay, you clearly think we're just bending backwards to be anti Hindu. Frankly speaking, I think you should take a look at how you've been arguing. I just hope you understand nuance someday.
