Having Higgs thoughts.

First of all, it's absolutely hilarious that Oggie calls him kid even though Higgs is literally a first-generation Jager. Incredible. This must be the Jeger equivalent of being 40 but having such a bad case of baby face that you look like a teenager and no one takes you seriously.

Secondly. I read a fic with one (1) interaction between Higgs and Lilith/Judy and decided it would be very interesting if Higgs had been the one to 'raise' her (and Punch/Adam too I guess?). But then I really thought about it and it makes at least a bit of sense. Visibly they were created as adults, but the emotional and mental maturity and humanity had to take a while to set in. And who better to teach them how to act human, how to be human, and how to fake being a socially acceptable non-mechanicsburg person than the guy who's not human but whose job is literally to blend in with them? Plus, Dimo said that Bill and Barry didn't like the Jagers being with them because it was bad for their reputation or something but Higgs doesn't look like a Jager so he was probably on Heterodyne-sitting duty way more than the rest of them because he's way more subtle and less réputation-damaging than the others.

Point is. Higgs being the one to teach Punch and Judy How To Be Human When You're Not, Really and then he ends up catching parental feelings which is... Interesting. Never happened before. When Punch and Judy are good enough at passing for human and don't really need him for that anymore he goes back to his job but they keep in touch sporadically. He's really worried when they "disappear" but he can't search for them because he's in a deep cover operation. Plus, signs points to Punch and Judy being very good at hiding if no one found them and Agatha in all those years.

Higgs learning that Judy and Punch were 'killed' and just..... Disappearing from the airship for a while to destroy a forest or two. Only to discover them in Gil's secret lab during his routine patrol of all the secret places in the airship. From then on he tries to visit them as often as he can without compromising his cover.

Obviously he probably learns about the Agatha thing early, but then he learns who raised her and gets confusing grandfatherly feelings. Give him a break, he's just gotten used to the idea of having children, he wasn't expecting a grandkid :/ he goes to Oggie (grandfather many times over) about it. Oggie, surprisingly, takes him absolutely seriously, gives him advice, and only teases him a little ("out ov all de grandkeeds hyu chust had to get de most troublesome one uh ?")

It still takes a while for Agatha to learn that she's got a sort of adopted grandpa (who isn't evil !) who looks barely 20 years older than her and is one of her subordinates oh that's awkward..... But at least he's very trustworthy and now she has to adapt to the idea of her best friend dating her grandpa (Zeetha thinks it's absolutely hilarious).

The Other M experience but I have very minimal energy left of today.

Several things:

Yes, I had a lot of the "it's so ugly it's cute" moments, yes I genuinely see her as adorable, Yes Adam actually does give a smirk but it's so hard to notice (he gives a brief one that's barely even there), I did already know about the whole James Pierce thing, and yeah, mid stage Ridley is just a wet dog thingy, he's so ugly I love it.

However the drawings are all I remember right now, I'm actually near endgame so, 👍

Oh yeah, I literally had problems reading the map because my brain is not adjusted to open world Metroid (yes, other m is open world to me) and my brain can't understand the fact doors can be close enough to eachother that they look like the same door on the map.

(apparently through tag research, I just learned that I'm absolutely stupid and that the name to Melissa Bergman is different from Madeline Bergman. I promise my attention span is better than this if it's explicitly said as Melissa in game.)

baffles me that people so often say other m's voice acting is bad. like out of everything about this game. the direction for samus is weird yes but everything else is honestly so top notch

Blood Will Out Ch 13 - Higgs and Vole and Gilgamesh, Too

Summary: When Agatha Sannikova learns she is, in fact, Agatha Heterodyne, she inadvertently kicks off a series of events that reopens old wounds, drags secrets into the light, and brings war to the doorstep of the all but defenseless Mechanicsburg. Saturnus struggles to crush his enemies with a town almost as broken as his body; Agatha, determined to undo the chaos she's unleashed, plunges into the depths of Castle Heterodyne.

Raised by a literal saint and the devil incarnate, Agatha - with an unleashed mind, a burning spark, and a band of very unexpected allies - will fight to do the unthinkable: be a good Heterodyne and a good person.

He said more after that – Higgs saw his lips form the words Castle Wulfenbach and questor’s airship – but could not hear it over the roaring in his ears. The Baron’s son was in Castle Heterodyne, and he’d only gotten there because Higgs had brought the ship down to land so he could get inside the castle. 

“Kid,” Higgs interrupted, “what in the five flamin’ hells do you think yer doin’ here?”

“I told you, I’m stopping Tarvek!”

Vole snorted. “Wrong vay around, keed. I know for a fact dot de Sturmvoraus kid is vorking against his poppa. He nearly ran himself to death to get here to varn Lord Saturnus dot de army vuz coming.”

Gilgamesh – Higgs would bet his hat the boy went by Gil – scowled, his eyes dark.

“Yeah,” he said. “He’s very good at making you think he’s your friend. He can keep it up for years . But in the end—” Gil gritted his teeth. “ I trusted him too. And he used me to get at my – at information about the ruling families. I know there was a file on the Heterodynes, and I know he’s going to try to use whatever he learned to…do whatever it is he’s planning to do! But I’m going to stop him.”

“ How?” Vole demanded. “Look at hyu, hyu is just a leedle kid! Und running around here, by hyuself? Vut vuz hyu plan, hope hyu can get close enough to him dot ven der kestle crushes hyu, it gets hyu blood in his eyes?”

“Now, now,” the castle chided. “My security systems are programmed to perceive even non-Mechanicsburg children as non-threatening.” It chuckled, fondly. “That Dante. Under all that bloodthirsty mania, he really was a big softy.”

“I’m fifteen!” Gil insisted, affronted.

“Oh, well, watch your step, then.”

“I’m not leaving.” Gil’s face was pale, but determined. “If you drag me out, I’ll come back in, and if you try and lock me up, I’ll just escape again.”

“Again?” Higgs repeated.

“The castle dropped me in some padded cell with a bunch of baby toys.”

“Nonsense! No child has ever escaped the time out room!”

“I took a bunch of the toys apart and built a blowtorch to melt the lock,” Gil said with barely concealed pride.

“Well—!” the castle exclaimed, indignant.

“Alright,” Higgs said before this could escalate further. The boy was definitely a Spark, although considering his father, that wasn’t much of a surprise. “We’re already tryin’ to get two kids out of here alive. One more shouldn’t be that much harder. Just stick close and we’ll make sure you get out of here in one piece.”

And if we can’t, I sure hope someone can think of a way to explain it to your father that doesn’t end with him turning this town into a smoking crater.

They followed Agatha’s trail in relative silence. Only once they passed into a dead zone and Gil was safely distracted examining the paintings on the walls did Higgs speak.

“Last time we talked, you were pretty adamant about not servin’ the Heterodynes anymore.”

“Hy don’t ,” Vole snapped. “De line is rotten. But Lord Saturnus is not. He is still vun of de true Heterodynes, und ven he calls, Hy— I answer.”

“He call often?”

“No,” Vole admitted tightly. “Only now, to giff me an excuse der Baron vould believe. De odder times, he did not need to call me. I knew vut he needed me to do.”

There was a brief pause in conversation as they dodged floor spikes, a passing cloud of blood bats, and a fire-breathing cuckoo clock that nearly roasted Higgs’ hat.

“Vut did hyu tell de kestle?” Vole asked as Higgs rubbed soot off his hat’s ribbon. Gil, who had gotten a little too close to an oil painting of a drum, was wiggling his fingers in his ears, trying to get rid of the ringing. "It said it vuzn't expectink to see me for anodder seventy-sometink years."

“You got a hundred years ostracization for refusin’ to acknowledge the new Heterodyne,” Higgs said simply, and set the hat back on his head.

It was a good lie, Vole had to admit. A serious crime for a Jäger, but not so severe as to invoke the castle’s wrath. A long enough stint that the castle would be likely to forget about him before the end of it – and a believable punishment for the crime, too. A hundred years of forced separation from the pack would be a torment to any Jäger. 

Fortunately, Vole was not a Jäger, so he didn’t care.

Especially fortunate because Vole’s banishment was not a temporary one. No comfort could be taken in knowing that the loneliness was finite.

But he didn’t care, so it didn’t matter.

“Iz dot vut hyu told de pack?”

“Didn’t tell them anything. Partly so they wouldn’t try and hunt you down as soon as the masters weren’t lookin’. Partly because we didn’t know how they’d react to someone breakin’ the troth. Some of them figured it out anyway – or at least suspect. Lots of rumors out there about you.”

Vole sneered.

“Hyu should haff told dem,” he said. “Vould be good for dem to know how veak de troth really is.”

“Now you’re just tryin’ to pick a fight,” Higgs said amiably. Vole scowled at him. Before he had to think of something to say, Gil stopped and looked back at them.

“Do you hear that or is it just my ears ringing?”

“Hear what?”

“That buzzing noise.”

“I dun tink de castle has any killer bees,” Vole said. He looked at Higgs. “Unless dey added dot after I left?”

“Not like bees,” Gil said. “More electrical.” He cocked his head. “I think it might be coming from the walls.”

The castle began to scream. 

“ Don’t know how you thought that was going to end,” Carson said, shifting the little model clanks into new places on the map to reflect Sturmhalten’s latest push. “You’ve never won an argument against her in your life.”

“Who asked you?” Saturnus snapped, yanking a loose wire out of the ray gun he was repairing. He pointed a screwdriver at a group of model soldiers. “They’re trying to circle the town – Sturmvoraus is making his way to the north wall; von Blitzengaard to the south. With the proper angle you should be able to get the fire spitters to throw far enough to herd them back into place.”

“They’ll probably just back out of range and try again.”

“Do it anyway. It’ll keep them occupied while we bolster defences on both sides—“

Suddenly he slammed the screwdriver down on the table and slumped over. The nurse in the corner jumped to her feet, but Carson waved her back down. 

“ This isn’t sustainable!” Saturnus said. “We can’t beat them back; all we can do is hold them off!”

“Mechanicsburg has survived sieges before.”

“Yes, with the castle up and running! Half our defences are down from that alone, never mind the damage Wulfenbach spent years doing! Our only chance is to hope we can fend them off until help arrives, and who knows when that will be? We don’t even know if our message made it out of the valley before Sturmvoraus had the telegraph wires sabotaged! Klaus didn’t consider this serious enough to send more than a single questor, and it could be days before he gets suspicious enough to send someone to check on us.”

Oh, and didn’t it burn to say those words. Until help arrives. Needing Klaus to send someone to check on them, like a babysitter to an unruly child. To have their survival depend on an outsider. Mechanicsburg had never asked anyone’s help for anything – admittedly, because there was no one to ask, but even if they could have asked, they wouldn’t have!  

Saturnus rubbed his face and leaned back in his chair.

“Go to Gkika. Tell her to gather any Jägers who can run and get them ready to go.”

“You said there weren’t enough to put in the fight.”

“I’m not going to have them fight. As soon as Vole gets Agatha out of the castle, I want the Jägers to take her and Teodora east through the deep tunnels. Get them out of the valley and wire word to the Baron. Even if Mechanicsburg falls before Klaus gets here, Aaronev will have to waste time picking over our bones looking for her.”

“Miss Sannikova won’t like that,” Carson said. Saturnus smiled. There was absolutely no humor in it.

“Of course not. They’ll have to drag her out of here by force.” In a distant voice, almost to himself, he murmured, “She would make a fine Heterodyne.”

“My lord?”

Saturnus shook himself and gave Carson a rueful smile.

“Were it not for an accident of birth,” he said. Then he scowled. “Go on, get going. I gave you orders.”

Carson opened the door, stepped out into the street, and collapsed forward with a strangled cry. He landed on the ground in a heap. Saturnus rushed out after him as people came running, stooped the chair down to reach for him, wondering where the blood was, what had hit him—

The streetlights flickered and went out. Panicked shouts rose from the walls as the shields slumped in their holdings, leaving the defenders exposed. Water stopped running in the fountains; clocks stopped mid-tick; several of the wall-mounted weapons sputtered and died.

Everyone in Mechanicsburg suddenly became aware that, for their entire lives, they had been hearing a faint humming noise, one that had been so constant and consistent their brains had tuned it out before they were old enough to form memories.

And now it had stopped.

Saturnus rarely felt afraid, but now a cold wave swept over his mind, numbing his chest and the tips of his fingers. He did not need to guess what had happened.

The Heterodyne had killed the castle.

The first of the Geisterdamen breached the walls.

Metroid and F-Zero GP

So un-ironically I'd really like the F-Zero GP anime to cross over with a Metroid show; Specifically, let’s make it canon and even a recurring element within the series.

Because it takes place in space, in the future, there's a Galactic Federation, Captain Falcon is a bounty hunter. And the way I'd incorporate it would be as seamless and natural as I could; Like these are just new characters, the same way Rundas or Sylux would be. The fact that they're F-Zero is not made loud and apparent, not that I'm ever against those types of crossovers... But it'd be a fun writing exercise to try merging these stories organically, even making crossover elements and individual episodes relevant to Samus' character arc.

So there's a couple of F-Zero elements that might show up here or there, a reference to the races. There's an episode where Samus has to face off against yet another bounty hunter, this one being expert marksman Pico, whose fighting style revolves around his perfect aim, and eludes her due to his distant nature as a sniper. Dark Million shows up and maybe it’s the criminal organization that disastrously hired Kanden for the Metroid. And eventually...

Well, I'd discussed the idea of Samus going to Earth, the Earthians' ancestral homeworld, after the events of the Fusion arc. It's her way of reconnecting with her Earthian side, with the ancestry of Rodney and Virginia, after focusing so much on Chozo affairs. In a way it's Samus re-exploring her identity after becoming part-Metroid, who she is as a person, all that stuff; And it sets her up to occasionally question her Chozo heritage, who they raised her to be, which transitions nicely into the Dread arc and the Mawkin representing the worst of the Chozo.

But before that, Samus is interested in tracing her Earthian genealogy and all that. Considering the kind of life and community she might've had if the Space Pirates never attacked K-2L. I'd love for Anthony Higgs to be present here, but his standing in the Federation would make it really awkward for him, so I'm not sure how it'd work out; I'm working on the idea of Samus getting pardoned thanks to Adam helping her leak the BSL corruption, which leads to public outcry defending Samus, as a callback to Fusion's ending monologue about people who understand. Even so, Samus is still on uneasy terms with the Federation, so I dunno if Anthony could make it.

We get an episode or two about Samus awkwardly trying to be Earthian and it not exactly working out? Is she just a tourist here? She has an existential conversation with Adam, who is also possibly struggling with the fact that he's no longer human, but a machine. So like Samus he's rediscovering himself too, and maybe Malkovich had a life and/or ancestry on Earth he left behind...

Eventually, this segues into the next storyline; Samus decides to visit Mute City, a popular site for tourists and immigrants alike. In F-Zero GP continuity (which differs from the games), Mute City is just a renamed New York City, meaning most of the action takes place on Earth. Samus crosses paths with Captain Falcon, a fellow bounty hunter like herself. She also witnesses the F-Zero races, questioning how they're even legal; This could tie into Samus questioning everything she's believed in regarding the Galactic Federation. Are these death races, performed for the entertainment of the upper classes, just further proof that Sylux was right???

This also gets me to another thing; I'm interested in Joey Apronika, from the Samus and Joey manga. I'd also like to adapt that, with various story arcs spread out across the Metroid show; It's not done all in one sitting, Joey is a recurring character. And being human, he could maybe show up alongside Samus, as she explores reconnecting with her 'human' side and understanding just what she's made up of now.

Joey wields the Field Knuckle, which is basically a tech gauntlet that allows him to generate protective barriers around his fist, himself and others, etc. This comes in handy for just punching enemies really, REALLY hard. And this reminds me of the Falcon Punch...

F-Zero GP follows its own take on the classic roster, with Captain Falcon's true identity being Andy Summer, not Douglas J. Falcon. However, it's also established that the title of Captain Falcon is a mantle, passed down from mentor to apprentice; Andy is not the first, so it's possible, if not implied, that his predecessor and/or the original Falcon was Douglas. The anime ends with Andy sacrificing his life to defeat Black Shadow, and the main character Ryu Suzaku becomes the new Captain Falcon.

Yeah, did I mention? F-Zero GP follows a similar premise to the Samus and Joey manga, in that we have a plucky young rookie, who is mentored by the mysterious face of the franchise. Interesting! The F-Zero GP even ends with a "To be continued...?" tagline.

Now, with Ryu as the new Captain Falcon, shouldn't he have his own successor considered, just as the show up until then was him and the previous Captain Falcon going on the occasional adventure together? Enter Clank Hughes, a young, tech-savvy boy who has a visor he can scan things with...

In the epilogue, Clank is a grown-up young man, and explicitly named as Ryu's successor; He will eventually become Captain Falcon. In the meantime, he learns from Suzaku, who fits quite nicely into his new outfit and identity.

Clank Hughes bears a decent resemblance to Joey Apronika... Joey fights similarly to Captain Falcon... Clank has his own scan visor, not unlike Samus Aran. Thus, I've considered two different options for how I want to approach the mantle of Captain Falcon in a Metroid show:

The first is to follow up directly where F-Zero GP ended, with Ryu as Captain Falcon, albeit more muscled and chiseled now. Him and Samus have some bonding moments and parallels; They both have young apprentices who look quite similar to one another! They both carry on where their friend(s) have died, and are quite lonely and out of their world;

See, Ryu Suzaku is not from this century; He's from the 21st century. This was back when Earth had yet to make contact with the Galactic Federation; He used to be a regular police officer and racer, but when he got into a car chase with escaped convict Zoda, Ryu was badly injured. It left him in a coma so severe, that doctors gave up and decided to put him into cryogenic sleep, and wait for the time when medical tech had advanced to heal him fully.

This would happen 150 years later; Ryu gets revived and makes a full recovery thanks to Doctor Stewart, and is a man out of his time. The only people from his time are his fiancee, who also went through the same treatment... And Zoda, who also got the same treatment.

Point is: There's a lot of people that Ryu left behind! And while this concept does make me consider a 'Frozen generation' of others who also waited things out cryogenically... It's still not a lot to work off of. So for Ryu, he's trying to reconnect with his lost past, and Samus is trying to explore one aspect of her ancestry. These are difficult things to bond over, as is them not being able to relate to a lot of people over their experiences.

Likewise, as Samus worries about destroying everything she touches (wait until she unlocks her Metroid DNA and that happens literally!), she's concerned about possibly hurting Joey, and Captain Falcon is someone who can listen and understand. He even calls back to when Clank was a young boy, just like Joey himself!

As for Clank himself, he knows he's got big shoes to fill in; He bonds with Joey over their mentors, although Clank has known his for much longer, and is tbh closer to him. Still, he gives Joey much-needed reassurance as an older brother figure. Captain Falcon helps Joey master his Field Knuckle, imparting the technique of the Falcon Punch; Its nature in Metroid might be technology, secret martial arts, a mix of magic and pseudo-medical science, IDK. Ghosts canonically exist in Metroid, as do telepaths.

Clank's scan visor compliments Samus' quite nicely, and the arc comes to a close with Clank, who has been considering how HIS successor will be, realizing Joey is a pretty good candidate! Joey's too young and Clank isn't Captain Falcon yet, but there's setup for his own future to look forward to... Captain Falcon, Clank, and a couple other F-Zero characters also return every now and then, depending on how long the show keeps going after the Dread arc's conclusion.

That's Plan A... For Plan B;

Clank Hughes is already Captain Falcon. Samus sees a fellow bounty hunter who also has a scan visor incorporated into his helmet. Cap helps Joey master his Field Knuckle in ways even his father, whom he inherited it from, didn't; Captain Falcon and Samus both bond over mentoring this young and impressionable kid, it makes Samus feel a lot less scared and lonely handling Joey. And Captain Falcon sees a lot of his younger self in Joey.

Eventually, Falcon elaborates on his backstory; His true name is Clank Hughes. He is not the first Captain Falcon, just another in a lineage. His predecessor was Ryu Suzaku, who gave his life to protect innocents... Cue a flashback to the first Metroid Crisis; Space Pirates have deployed some Metroids on the F-Zero Grand Prix, because they're petty like that.

Clank is present racing alongside Captain Falcon. It's a pretty tense scenario, civilians are being attacked by Metroids, some of the racers find their vehicles being drained by the vampires, which leads to crashes. The Blue Falcon gets attacked by Metroids and is damaged; Captain Falcon can't get the cockpit to open, he's trapped inside...

They're on a racetrack atypical of the usual ones; A ring contained within a stadium, built on the premise of high-speed circular racing. With the speed that racers go, they can heat up the track really fast. To make up for this, beneath the stadium is a giant cooling reactor to keep the racetrack from melting... How does Captain Falcon know of the Metroid weakness to cold? This could be after the first wave of attacks, when the Galactic Federation has already posted PSAs about this vulnerability.

Falcon messages Clank, explaining the emergency eject has been disabled; There's no getting himself out of this situation. But for everyone else...

In some really expert maneuvering, he drives the Blue Falcon into the Metroids, letting them cling onto his vehicle and start draining it. He even bumps into other racers, the speed and force tearing off the Metroids, who then choose the Blue Falcon instead. Hell maybe he even drives onto the abandoned seats to lure the Metroids away from the audience.

With all of the creatures latched onto his vehicle and its power draining fast, Falcon makes a final send-off message to Clank, declaring him the new Captain Falcon. The entire scene is in blatant, shot-for-shot homage to the previous Falcon's heroic sacrifice, down to an instrumental version of the song that plays; Captain Falcon activates the boosters, ramming through doors and into an underground track leading to the cooling reactor.

Captain Falcon rams the Blue Falcon into the center of the cooling reactor, freezing the outside, as well as the Metroids latched on. His helmet flies off, revealing an older Ryu Suzaku, who charges up a Falcon Punch that he rams right into his console; The force is so great it causes the Blue Falcon to explode, shattering the frozen Metroids. We get a final shot of Ryu smiling in his heroic sacrifice, just like Andy Summer, before disappearing in the explosion.

The detonation leads to a chain reaction within the cooling reactor; This causes all of the ice to funnel upwards and through the racetrack above, leading to some very pretty snowflakes falling around the stadium. Clank Hughes mourns Captain Falcon, and vows to fulfill his role, just as Cap did the previous one before him!

Cut back to the present; Earlier, Hughes had expressed admiration to Samus for ending the Metroid Crisis. You can see he really, REALLY means it. He imparts his own advice to Samus about keeping the hearts of your friends alive, and their sacrifices not in vain, and he knows what it's like to lose multiple father figures; Samus takes that into consideration (and it sets up Samus having to deal later with a 'father figure' she takes great shame in). Samus and Captain Falcon's friendship is furthered, since he basically takes joint custody with her over Joey, and realizes Joey has the shapings to become a Captain Falcon himself!

The training won't begin, not yet; But it's an invitation for Joey to consider. And it's something for Samus to look forward to; Joey doesn't have to follow in her lonely footsteps. But with Captain Falcon, he's got a lot of friends and confidence and charisma... Adam reminds Samus not to be so dismissive of herself though. Who knows?

(One of my main reasons for hesitation with Ryu being posthumous and Hughes having already taken his position, comes from me... Honestly not wanting to crush the hearts of fans who grew attached to Ryu, and really wanted to see him be Captain Falcon. Granted a badass heroic sacrifice helps to assuage that disappointment but still. And also yeah I kinda DO want to see Ryu as Falcon, myself!!!)

As a side note: There's also a storyline about Rockets, a racer from Samus and Joey, competing in the F-Zero. He's an antagonist, hoping to use the prize money to help fund his boss Greed's operations and all that. Jody Summer is also present, and things could get complicated given she's a member of the Galactic Federation, which has VERY tense feelings towards Samus because of the BSL incident; She probably leans towards sympathizer, but it's still awkward. And at some point Captain Falcon has to clarify she's the sister of a previous Falcon, so Jody's family to him too.

How would you rank other the god class survivors' powers from weakest to strongest?

Well, ranking them at their fullest potentials would be:

1st, Mike (Reality Warping): With the level he can accidentally warp reality as a baby, I think Mike's potential absolutely speaks for itself.

2nd, Ron (God Teleportation): Ron is pretty bottom barrel among his fellow God class survivors at the moment, but he becomes dangerously powerful the moment he discovers what concept he actually governs and stops calling his power 'god teleportation'.

3rd, Kaito (Control over the Higgs particle/field): Kaito is known as the strongest among the God class, not just because of his powers, but mostly because he's one of the first to really understand his ability and the concept his seed embodies.

4th, Adam (Motion Control): Unlike Ron, Adam actually knows what his powers are, but he just doesn't understand them yet. Like, Kaito said... Adam is nearly unstoppable the moment he understands exactly what power he has.

5th, Aurora (Space manipulation): She boasts the ultimate defense of the God class, and she at the same time has decent enough attacks expected of someone her class.

6th, Avery (Frequency manipulation): Despite her position on this list, Avery still always finds a way to hold her own against all the others in her class.

7th, Elvis (Communication with the universe): His power is great but extremely unreliable, considering he has no power of his own and only ever banks on the universe being in good enough terms with him to agree to his wishes.

Ari is hard to gauge on this list seeing as her powers aren't exactly suited for combat or confrontation.
