This is a non-exhaustive list of resources you might have access to, or know of, that can be used to aid unhoused community members directly. Many of these focus on direct mutual aid as individuals but can be helpful to consider when in community organizing settings. - What do you (or someone you know) have access to, that you can provide to the community? - Can they be accessed, used, or provided: regularly, occasionally, only in emergencies, weekly, daily, sporadically, consistently, etc.? - Consider seasonal needs (winter coats don’t help us when it’s 90 degrees out!) - Remember to practice active, informed consent with individuals and ask if these would be helpful! Don’t take it personally if your offer isn’t helpful to someone, it might help someone else. - These should be realistic and not compromise your safety or well-being. Remember to prioritize safety over comfort.

- Consider your relationship with this person (generally, don’t offer complete strangers into your home)
- Location matters a lot. Unhoused people often need to be near “hubs”/cities, close to resources and systems of care.
- Some people can’t live in hotels, couch surf, or any of these options without losing their housing vouchers, and in some cases health insurance or other assistance programs. Legal definitions of homelessness (used by voucher programs) usually don’t include people living in hotels/motels, or couch surfing (including most of these options). Check with the individual to see if this might be helpful.

As a disclaimer: I have been homeless/unhoused for over half of my life. My experiences of homelessness have included while being a infant, toddler, young child, preteen, teenager, and young adult. I am 24 years old. My most recent experience of being unhoused was last year, and I am currently precariously housed (meaning: at high risk of losing housing again). My experiences of homelessness have included sleeping outside in a tent, sleeping on park benches and under freeways, walking around all night to avoid hypothermia and freezing to death (something that has happened to several of my friends), couch surfing, sleeping in cars, squatting, sleeping in motels, living in a shelter, and institutionalized. I have been homeless with family a few times during early childhood and again when I was 15. All of my other experiences of homelessness have been on my own starting at age 9 or 10, and the last time I lived with a parent I was 16. I have been homeless in both rural and urban areas. I have been homeless in New England/Northeast United States as well as the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to this, I have many contributing factors to my experience, including being disabled, a person of color, trans, queer, a survivor of child abuse and CSA, being trafficked, and a drug user and a SWer, amongst other marginalized experiences.
That being said: my experience of being unhoused/homeless is not the universal experience. While I know many people of all different demographics who I’ve met on the streets, I cannot speak to every single person’s experiences. I especially cannot speak to experiences outside of the United States, aside from what I hear secondhand.
This is meant to serve as a general guide to accompany a workshop I created, and might not be helpful for everyone. If it’s not helpful, I hope it inspires others to offer creative solutions. I’m always working on expanding this list. Thank you for reading.

Someone's been stealing money from the petty cash at work for a year now, and I haven't been able to find out who or how.
I've covered, from my own money, close to €4000 by now, and my salary is only €500/month, which means that I've been living on scraps trying to pay rent, bills, cat stuff, and all the unexpected expenses that hobble me once or twice a month, such as having to buy a new vacuum cleaner, fixing the water heater, fixing the plumbing in the bathroom (twice), and buying a new washing machine, to name some. I've been eating nothing but plain congee since November of last year except for the holidays and my birthday, I've started buying lower quality cat food, and I've denied myself everything from buying new socks to getting new headphones just to keep myself in the black.
And finally - finally! - thanks to a friend's help, I could get my hands on a small wireless camera to set up in the office where I keep the petty cash till so I can catch the thief. I couldn't report any of the missing cash because after the first time it happened, I got told the next time it happens I will lose my job, and I can't afford that, but if I had proof that the cash was missing not because I was irresponsible at my work but because someone was stealing, then I could finally do it.
And the camera DOESN'T FUCKING WORK.
I've done everything right, followed the manual step by step, and the goddamned thing won't work!
You can only look through the camera if you're actively using the application that connects the camera to your phone. The motion sensor doesn't work despite changing all the settings to turn it on. The app recognizes the micro SD card I put in, but only in the sense that it recognizes there's an SD card there and how much free memory there is on it - it won't format it (as per instructions) and it won't use it as storage. Eventually, after about five hours of trying to get the camera to accept the micro SD card, I caved in an bought the app's Cloud storage space... but the camera won't accept it as storage either! So the only way for the camera to record anything is for me to actively use the app, go to the camera screen tab, click Record... and then stay on that window because the second I leave that tab (not even the whole app, just the tab!), the recording stops automatically 🤬
I was so happy when the camera arrived, so hopeful that this nightmare will finally be over and I'll finally be able to breathe a little easier, but nooo.
Not me.
Not with my luck.
So I've wasted €100 I couldn't afford to spend, and with the way things are going, I won't be surprised if the thief steals more money this weekend, and I'll just have to cover it again, and all for no better reason than because fuck me, that's why.
And then people DARE chastise me for being suicidal.
You fucking come live my life and then tell me I'm not justified in wanting all of this to be over and not caring how it happens anymore as long as it fucking STOPS.

Im sorry if this post comes off weird and not very understandable, but I (and a friend) have been forced to live with something horrible and traumatizing (at the hands of someone we called A FRIEND) for the last few days and I am about to burst and need to get this out somewhere where I feel safe.
(TRIGGER WARNING: faked Sui attempt mention below, me being gaslit, lied to, made to feel like I was an idiot and a harasser)
It all started a few days ago by a message from (someone that I called a friend)’s account. Lets call them Wolf.
In the past, during our short friendship, a friend and I discovered that Wolf liked making jokes about Sui. Alot. Everyday, practically. But not only jokes. Once, she faked a Sui attempt, filmed it, and sent it to my friend N. My friend, traumatized, told me in the group chat and we were very pointed in saying that such things were not a laughing matter. Please keep on mind, Wolf is in her late 20’s. An age where you would think people no longer do such things.
Now, back to what happened. It all started a few days ago by a message from Wolf’s account.
Wolf’s account left a lengthly message in the Discord chat we share with N, my friend. The message was by someone we did not know, telling us that Wolf had committed a Sui attempt and was now in the hospital.
We were told by “Jordyn” that she was only telling the people closest to Wolf what happened, and that none of Wolf’s In Real Life friends knew. It was only us, and Wolf’s parents. She told us to stay quiet and to not post on Wolf’s personal instagram, as to not let anyone know.
Why were we being told this? Why did Jordyn “take” Wolf’s phone, go into her Discord account, and decide to send a message in a Discord chat that had had NO ACTIVITY FOR 10+ DAYS?
Something was nagging at me and my friends mind, something felt wrong with what was all being said.
Constantly were inconsistencies popping up in her messages and constantly did something feel OFF. Something didnt feel right.
Why were we, two random people on Wolf’s Discord list, being told all of this? Why were we being told by “Jordyn” that none of Wolf’s In Real Life friends knew, but we, were being told all of this information?
The next day (8 to 10 hours after receiving the first message), still hesitant to believe it all after receiving NO proof or concrete information, I asked what hospital she was being held at, so that I could see about sending flowers. Sure we weren’t close, but it was the least I could do. The answer I received?
“She's gotten a lot of flowers. Like pretty much the whole room is filled with flowers. We might get her a P.O. Box or get her a cash app account set up, so people can donate.”
Once again, why were we being told (without being pushed but still told nonetheless) that we could donate money to a Cashapp that Jordyn was going to make for Wolf’s rehabilitation or that we could send cards to a PO box? But oh sorry, no one’s been told what happened but flowers are everywhere, so much so that we’re tripping over them so send money instead.
Today, after multiple days of being told “updates” that didnt line up with what would happen to a Sui attempt survivor, I had a lengthly conversation with the friend that was living through all of this with me.
I decided to ask if “Jordyn” was comfortable sharing information on what happened. (She had already told my friend everything in Private Dms, so why not tell me, a medical student studying in neurology and psychology, and who is studying on how to help rehabilitate Sui Survivors?)
She said yes, so I asked. I asked, as delicately as I could, on what happened, because the things she had said did NOT line up with what procedures a doctor would normally do.
The answer I received? Wolf’s account leaving the Discord server, and this:
All I did was ask questions (because nothing was lining up and everything felt WRONG in everything this Jordyn/Wolf/whoever person was forcing down our throats on Discord everyday, and I figured I was owed that much since hey, Im being told all of this all of these horrible details in what happened) but I guess I was only allowed to that and only that, and to send money of course.
I (and my friend N) was made out to be a fool, an idiot. I was Gaslit, lied to, and manipulated.

FULL STORY OF THE SAGA OF THE EXPLOSIVE PHONE AND THE ELECTRONICS STORE THAT TRIED TO GET ME TO COMMIT DOMESTIC TERRORISM! -
This is going to take a hot minute to type, so be patient
on June 18th 2024 I was out running errands, and picked up dinner, in doing so I overdrew the credit union account, I THOUGHT I had zeroed it out, but it had actually overdrawn.
I didn't find out until after the bank had closed, and since the 19th was Juneteenth (a federal holiday in the states) the CU was closed.
I THOUGHT I could sign the account up through Zelle and/or cashapp and just transfer money directly into the account, but Zelle continually failed, and cash app let me enroll it, but not transfer the money to the account.
Continually they said the issue was with the DEBIT CARD, not the account and told me to call the bank. I couldn't.
On the 20th, I woke up early enough to call the bank, and began the arduous process of verifying over the phone with my dad just so I could talk to them, and Zelle, and try to figure out why the everloving hell the zelle system said there was something wrong with the card and not letting me even sign up so I could transfer money into the account.
I spent four hours on this. Calling one, calling the other, being on hold. and NO ONE could fix the problem.
I repeated myself so many times I was tired of hearing myself. I got one person who said it was the carrier, so I had to call t-mobile, except it wasn't tmobile it was mint, and tmobile transferred me to aura and not mint, and finally to mint who said 'oh that feature is already unlocked on the account you need to call the banking institution or zelle.
On the final call to zelle, the new tech was refusing to accept the verification. and starts going through her little trapper keeper script of why she was refusing to accept the verification when we had all the answers all the info and had ACTIVELY BEEN VERIFYING FOR FOUR HOURS until this point when she says, off handedly during her script read (she was literally just reading the fucking bullet points, I could HEAR the pauses as she shifted line down) "Your account must have more than a dollar in it to enroll"
I spin, looking at the phone only to realize that the phone my dad is holding has expanded, and popped the back of itself off. And immediately begin internally panicking but externally I'm just being frustrated because THAT was the problem for the past four hours, not me entering info wrong, not the information being incorrect with the bank, not the debit card being mislinked, not a system error THE ACCOUNT WAS ALREADY OVER DRAWN AND IT TOOK FOUR HOURS AND WIGHT TECHS TO TELL ME THIS CONDITION?!
I tell dad to immediately hang up the phone and give it to me, I'm ready to rip my hair out and he thinks I'm going to throw the phone and kind of clings to it. I say, firmer. "Give me that timebomb NOW" and he goes 'what is the pro- what the fuck is that?"
I saiod "That is a spicy pillow and you need to give itt to me -now-. I'm taking it to best buy it should still be under warranty." "Yeah, yeah.." and he handed me the phone "When did that happen?" "When you took the phone out of the case to talk to zelle a second ago. It's blowing out, and It doesn't need to be here." "Yeah you go handle... this..."
I explain the zelle issue why it wouldn't enroll, and go get dressed, grab the spicy ravioli and run out the door with the idea that I'll go to the credit union two cities over, fix the overdraft and then take care of the phone return. While driving it's still expanding so I reprioritize and decide to return the phone first.
In my mind, this is a simple thing. I know the phone is under warranty, it has become a safety issue, their standard practice of "keep this and send it off" is not a viable option so it will HAVE to be a refund/in store exchange.
I know this because I've had to do this once before in the past. I know how their policies work, I know the standard returns but more importantly I know the severity of a bloated li-ion battery and how fucking important it is to get it into a safe disposal unit to be picked up by hazardous waste techs with a fireproof vehicle
I go in, at this point I am forwardly professional, I am not panicked, excitable or anything I have my mask of professionalism on and I'm all fucking business. I go to customer service and say 'I need to make a return but before that, do you have a fire blanket or fire suppressant for this fire hazard" and I gently set the phone on the counter. My only thought is to safely contain this ACTIVELY EXPANDING lithium battery.
She looks down, eye go wide and goes "I don't know let me check" and runs to the back, I hear from the back "We have a bucket of sand" and I retort "That will do, this needs to be contained immediately please"
They come get it, and take the potential fire hazard to be buried in the sand bucket. NOW we may commence the return process. I immediately put on the customer service interaction mask, and give them the information for the account, I joke that my receipt for the purchase had bleached out in the car (It had, I keep it in the sunglasses holder and it had legitimated denatured) and we agree that is why they have everything digital.
The CS says it's a rapid exchange in store for this, I said yay, that's actually really nice, because 'express' is not great. She agrees, and sends me to the mobile department, I say take all the time they need, I'll pick a new phone and confirm it's what my dad wants, and I know the paperwork is going to take a hot minute.
I confirm dad doesn't care as long as it's functional, so I pick out the same type, but updated model of phone (Moto G Stylus 2023 model to replace the 2021 model that is buried in sand in the back)
I talk to mobile, connecting with the associate over customer horror stories and the like while the new phone that he, customer service, geek squad techs, and two other associates and a manager have seen, agreed this is going to be an instore exchange because of the circumstances.
We begin setting up the phone and I realize the sim card is still in the bomb. I roll back over in my wheelchair to ask if it's safe to get the sim card. And they say they have to check the IMEI anyway and I bawk. We've already confirmed it's probably not safe to turn the phone on right now, and they say it's okay, it's on the sim tray. I didn't know that, good information. And I ask, cautiously, if it'd be okay to turn it on BRIEFLY so I can get only the login email on it to know which email my dad used for logging into google so I can get his contacts and account synched
the tech says "I don't recommend it" I asked if it would be okay to do so knowingly against advice to turn it on, get the info, turn it off and rebury the thing?
By now, it's been confirmed the battery is no longer expanding, and it's not actively leaking, smoking or heating up. We all agree it's a compromised cell within the battery but it hasn't been breeched, so it's safe-ISH to handle, briefly, but it shouldn't be agitated too much just in case.
I suggest removing the back fully so there's no pressure points. I'm ignored.
I get the info, turn off the fire bomb and hand it back, where it's taken back to what I assume is the sand bucket.
after a little while, the replacement phone is ready for login, I begin setting up the phone for my dad and logging in his information so it'll be set up and ready to go. They begin the return paperwork for the other phone.
At this point it's been about 45 minutes. It's been a smooth process where everyone was on the same side of 'we do not want to agitate the bomb, and Asrya should be leaving with a functional phone and NOT a fire hazard."
when they try to do the return, the SKU (sales identification number) comes up as dead meaning that the store chain doesn't carry that model any more, and the system won't accept the item as a return for cash, credit, or refund. It just -won't- . Initially, I tell them I've had to do this only twice before (I didn't mention it was spread out over like twelve years that I've been using this specific protection plan with Best Buy) and that they may have to store manager override it.
I've had to utilize this process before with laptops I had to exchange due to manufacture defects... so I actually do know how the policy works, the former general manager of the store had explained it to me YEARS ago.
So I tell them that it happens, and to take their time, I know it's a pain in the ass and I'm sorry I'm taking up so much resources, but it's really okay and as long as the end result is good, I don't mind waiting.
At this point it's 1 in the afternoon.
I've been at the best buy for an hour.
The manager comes up after a while, telling me that it's physically impossible. And I'm going to have to use the 'express return' system, it's the only solution that their system is allowing them to process.
I start getting frustrated, which means I start crying because I am fighting the urge to begin yelling. I've now been here for over an hour, I was in the middle of handling the situation and I NEED the phone in order to process the banking issue this all started with so my dad doesn't get charged overdraft fees.
I explain I can't wait a week for a new phone and what am I supposed to do with the bloated phone?
they explain this process, and get snippy telling me "It's 2-3 days not a week" I tell them it's 2-3 BUSINESS days "well... yeah" "This is THURSDAY, at the earliest it'll process Friday then ship out on Monday, if I'm LUCKY it'll arrive on TUESDAY at the earliest, and maybe not until Thursday of next week! During that whole time my dad's account will have overdraft fees being applied to it for each day! We can't afford that! On top of that you want me to pay a 70$ deposit just to do this! We do not have that money right now"
I was told I could apply for and use the best buy credit card.
I asked for a phone number to call, that there HAD to be an alternative solution, I said I didn't want to take the fire hazard home with me.
By now they had REMOVED THE PHONE FROM THE BUCKET and were walking around with it after me, trying to get me to take the fucking compromised battery.
I tell them to put that thing back in the sand bucket. And they give me 'corporate's number' a 1877 number. I ask if that's the number to call to talk to a supervisor or manager because this is an exception to the policy if ever there was one. If anyone would have the directions for overriding this dead sku problem, it should be the store manager's area or district manager
I am told there is no area or district manager.
I am FLOORED, I realize I've not been around this system for a couple of years but that information just... baffles me. I ask who THEY call when they have a situation come up that can't be handled in store.
They tell me they call the 1877 number.
I am BAFFLED by this, but I call the 1877 number, the call id comes up as 'best buy express kiosk" and I groan because I recognize this as the trunk line call center. I brace for and prepare to handle this for an hour. I am still trying to be as professional as possible.
I have now been here for going on two hours.
I roll out into the entry way, they CHASE ME with the fucking firebomb of a phone and ask if I'm leaving. I look back at them holding this fucking bloated phone and say no I'm just trying to get out of everyone's way so I can call the number and would they PLEASE put that thing back again and leave it in the safe bucket!
I spend the better part of hour three struggling to get through these customer service techs, explaining the situation and begging for them to transfer me to a manager or supervisor. I'm being denied this at every turn until I get to "returns" and am told to ask THEM for a manager by a tech who seemed to understand the situation and why I was calling.
I'm transferred, the tech listens, agrees that I should NOT be handed a firebomb to go home with, and should not be expected to ship a bloated li-ion battery in the mail and that it should be an in store return with store credit. I ask her to please explain this to the manager and go to remove my headset and put her on speaker so the manager can hear it from corporate
the call disconnected
I break
I begin crying, as quietly as I can, and the manager goes 'well' and I explain the call disconnected... I have to get back to that point.. and roll back into the entry way to begin the process again.
I'm crying, I just need this to work.
I've been here for nearly three hours.
The new tech that answers refuses to confirm the account and begins insisting I give my personal number and email to him. Refusing to accept the account information.
He puts me on hold. I call the corporate number again, merge the calls, and he has me on a mute hold. I get another tech that sound like the same guy, who also eventually puts me on hold, and then disconnects the call.
I'm sobbing and breaking down at this point, I'm having a panic attack, and struggling to maintain any type of composure at this point. I tell them I'm going out to my car so I'm not causing a scene in their store and is the manager positive there is no other option. I need to be leaving with a working phone, or at least I do NOT need to be leaving with a fucking FIRE HAZARD that they are expecting me to ship in the mail it is ILLEGAL to ship compromised batteries in the mail.
this fucking manager looks me dead in the face and says I can purchase a new phone to use, and just bring it back after the 'express return' is finished, or I can just do the express return, but there is NO WAY at all physically for her to do the return, in any shape, form or fashion, that I will have to take the fire hazard phone with me and ship it to their facility when the new phone comes in the mail in five days or so
I say I do not feel comfortable holding onto a FIRE HAZARD for a week, much less being without the ability to do the banking and is best buy going to cover the overdraft fees I'll be incurring and what am I supposed to do with a fucking bloated phone that could explode?!
Her solution? "You can go to walmart and buy a bucket and sand and put it in there if you don't feel safe with it, I hear that sand is good for batteries like this"
I snap... I just.. break down and begin crying because at this point I've been here for three hours, I know what she's suggesting is absolutely wrong, she's lied to me about not having an area/district manager, and she's standing over me like some fucking goon while telling me to take a BOMB home and then send it in the federal post in a week!
I break down, I take the stupid fucking bomb, they make me factory reset the phone I had been working on previously, I take the sim card, and I ask again if there is ANYONE I can call to talk to that will help. Who do THEY call when there's a situation because there HAS to be SOMEONE. They insist that nope, there's ONLY the 1877 number to the call centre.
I'm bawling, I'm broken, and crying I'm having heart issues, my head is screaming, my face feels burnt, and I roll out to the car and put the chair away. While unpacking the chair I realize I had actually put a pack of switch thumbsticks in the cart because I had been hoping to buy them with the leftover store credit I'd have when they all thought it was going to be a store credit exchange.
With my legs SCREAMING in pain, and barely able to walk, I limp back in on my crutches, unintelligibly sobbing and return the nearly-pilfered item, then go back to the truck. St this point I've set the phone on my driver's seat, I begin working on possibly loading the chair back on the truck when there's a loud, gunshot-like POP noise
and for a brief, horrifying moment, I think the battery has just exploded in my truck. Only to realize the heat had actually boiled a bottle of soda, and THAT was what had just exploded.
I'm determined, angry, frustrated, pissed, and petty... I don't want this fucking bomb in my possession, I know for a goddamn fact I am not supposed to have this bomb in my possession, I know that if it goes off and causes damages that best buy will be liable for it, and frankly, while the payout might be nice the inconvenience of having to deal with the damage, replacement, insurance, lawyers, and court costs and investigation are too much for me to handle. I don't want to go through it I JUST want a phone that works, the bank situation to be fixed and to NOT HAVE A FUCKING BOMB IN MY POSSISSION
I begin calling the useless as fuck call centre again, and for the next three and a half hours (totaling seven now) I continually try to explain, repeat, get transferred, sobbing, crying and getting hung up on by asshole techs. and I'm losing more and more composure as it goes on.
I FINALLY get a tech who says 'it should be store credit' I said I need the instructions on how to do that because the manager is claiming to not know how to do it. and I beg her to talk to the manager. Success. I go back in side, clinging to this tiny spider thread of hope that they'll fix it.
the manager takes my phone, asks if she can step tot he side, I say yes, and she comes back and they're both just repeating that the only solution is for me to send this bomb in the mail
I tell them it's ILLEGAL to send it, it's literally a federal crime. It CANNOT be policy to do this. None of them will budge. None will do the override, they're INSISTING I have to wait for a phone to come in, and then send a BOMB in the mail. I tell them this is probably why we've had mail trucks catch fire if they're telling people to do this it's ILLEGAL
The fucking manager says 'it's not actively leaking, it's not smoking or how it SHOULD be legal to send it in the mail' I ask for the salary person she mentioned. I go tot the mobile guy I'd been talking to six hours ago. I ask HIM to get me the salary person. This woman comes over and stands over me, arms crossed, with them angrily standing in front of me, arms crossed, like they're trying to intimidate me out of the store for trying to run a scam.
they continue to tell me there's no other option that they wouldn't spend six hours to tell me know they'd help if they could that I'm going to have to use the mail system.
I ask the salary manager who they call. She says corporate. I say that is horseshit. She gets offended and I clarify. That if their new policies is to call the call center number they gave me that is a horse shit policy and THEY are in danger of running into DANGEROUS situations like this without a way of getting out or around it. Who do I call to complain about that policy then?
"You can complain but it won't do anything to change the answer"
"Who do I call?!"
They give me no answer.

after seven hours of fighting with them. I leave, in possession of a fire hazard, my head pounding, feeling sick, having now gone through MULTIPLE break downs, melt downs, and panic attacks over the past seven hours of being on site trying to get them to do the right things.
I go home and explain to my parents what happened, I unload the tiny amount of groceries I'd picked up (twenty bucks of emergency cash) and realize how much bullshit it is what had happened. So I begin calling the local investigative news stations to see if they want to look into this.
One of the news stations is VERY interested in the fact this store told me to buy a bucket of sand to put a dangerous fire/explosive into. They're interested that the store can't be called with inbound calls, that there's apparently no area or district manager to call, that the store sent me home with an explosive and told me to send it in the mail.
I send the store to the news station. I call other stations, they're not as interested. That's fine. I'm advised to call the attorney general of commerce and leave them the story. I do.
June 21 2024 - I still need to correct the banking situation so I determine to drive to the bank, make a physical deposit with some change I have on hand to bring the account high enough to accept the cash app deposit I tried to withdraw two days before. I show them receipts of what happened. I explain their responses, their 'solutions' and their suggestions. This store's crew is just locked in abject horror that this happened. I explain why the other store wouldn't do the store credit and they say 'let me call my manager' and I tell them about how the other store told me there was NO area or district manager.
They look confused "Well he's kind of a roaming district manager, but... yeah... we have... I have a lot to tell Abby."
I breathe a sigh of relief. I was right, there's an area manager, and a roaming district manager... I wasn't crazy I did remember correctly how their policies worked... I tell them about the 'we call corporate' situation and how I was on the phone for 7 hours thereabouts, being hung up on.. they all continue to look horrified... at this point they hit the same dead sku issue, and I lament a possible repeat. They said they were NOT going to let me have that bomb back, we were NOT going to be sending it through the mail (one even said 'Isn't that considered like.. terrorism?!" and I agreed I was pretty sure it was. ) they said I was leaving with a phone they just had to get 'Abby' to tell them how to bypass this... and she did. In like.. five minutes.
"Is store credit okay? It'll probably have to be store credit" "YES! That's perfect, it means I can just get the phone and a new plan..." They help me find a phone they have (Moto G 5g 2024 model) and even with a new plan, I had 33% of store credit left over!
They tell me that phone is NOT leaving the sand bucket, and there's a brief funny moment of one associate holding up the sim tray (they'd used it to confirm the IMEI and confirm it was the phone under warranty) and the tech laughing and holding this tiny piece of plastic "This is probably the least problematic part of the phone"
I agree... the situation was handled, and I tell them I DID report them to the AG, and the news stations, and one of the associates goes "I'm REALLY surprised that store did that... that's the main hub store of the district, and he's on vacation right now but Roy, the district manager... that's his HOME store... I don't know what they were thinking" and I go "Roy.... Roy.... Mister Roy? Kinda tall, brown/black hair? Used to be the General manager of that store? THAT Mister Roy is the district manager?" "Yeah! He was the general manager there for a while." "Yeah about three0four years ago, I've met him! He's the one who told me about the way the protection plans work"
They all agreed he was not going to be happy, and any new friends that store makes from my reports were justified, they were glad I raised hell about the battery because it would have been a disaster if it'd gone off, and "didn't they know how dangerous these batteries are" and "why the hell did they send you home with that?" and me agreeing it was insane and wrong and just... feeling better to know I wasn't crazy in the way I knew the world was SUPPOSED to work.
So in the end - the banking situation was handled, I was able to get a new working phone for my dad, that did indeed transfer all information, contacts, images and everything over (for as evil as it's become, google synching system and account connections are INCREDIBLE for this exact situation) and I had enough money left over to get the switch thumbsticks I'd wanted to get from the other store... I still have some money left over. and they were cheaper than my local store.
the news station hasn't gotten back to me yet, but they may not until Monday at the earliest, but the situation is done at least, (largely) and the end was a good one.

I've been using Pokemon Sleep for about five weeks now. Here's some thoughts below the cut. It's a long one.
First, my opinions about the nuts and bolts of how it works. This is... mostly complaints.
- The monetization in this game is absolutely disgusting. Like just heinous. If you're the kind of person that needs to avoid stuff with microtransactions, do not install this game. I haven't given them a dime, but I've also at this point built up a strong resistance to monetization tricks. DO NOT let your kids play this game if they have a credit/debit card hooked up to their accounts.
- On the flip side, credit where due, when they say on the load screen that you can play 100% of the game without paying, this is true. You'll progress faster and with less effort if you pony up some cash, but the game gives you a decent stream of the premium currency, Diamonds, that will get you access to whatever niceties you'd like. If I wanted something that requires the premium currency to get, I haven't found myself walled behind a massive wait for the drip feed to catch up.
- The game wants roughly thirty minutes to an hour of your time a day not counting the sleep tracking. Three ten to twenty minute chunks. One in the morning to review last night's sleep data and feed Snorlax breakfast, one in the afternoon for lunch, and then one or two in the evening for dinner and switching on the sleep tracking.
- When the app tells you to put your phone on the bed for the sleep tracking, this is actually NECESSARY for how it functions. I had assumed it just uses audio to gauge if you snore or whatever (which it does), but it also uses your phone's accelerometer to determine if you're tossing and turning and by extension how deep you're sleeping. If you put it on a bedside table or something, it'll give you a readout saying you slept like an absolute fucking ROCK. If you're like me and toss and turn a lot, you can actually use this to cheese the game a little since certain Pokemon only appear when you sleep deeper and those are for me quite hard to get without this cheese. I would go so far as to actively recommend this tactic.
- You may notice that's kind of a creepy amount of data to collect and it feels kind of like inviting a stalker into your bedroom. You are correct. The app assures you that the actual sleep data does NOT get transmitted at all. I do not have anything other than their word to confirm that. I don't know if what it collects is fairly standard for other apps like it, but my assumption is yes?
- Because of how it tracks your sleep info, if you sleep with a partner in the same bed it completely skullfucks its tracking.
- If you have an even slightly older phone, the app chugs whenever you try to click anything. There's like a one-second lag on every click in the menu followed by a short load screen. Those 10-20 minute sessions would be about half as long if I had a phone with more processing speed.
Now all the above might sound damning as hell. But here's the thing. I like this app a lot actually. It's DEEPLY flawed, but let's talk about the game's mechanics, which is mostly positives:
- Right at the top, this app has improved my sleep schedule, pardon the pun, practically overnight. My new PC has told me twice now that step one to fixing most of my mental health issues is healthier sleep, which he knows is hard but you gotta try. I've been hesitant to take the meds he prescribed for that, but I heard about this app and figured gamifying sleeping on time would be a great way to get me to actually do it. Worked like a charm. The game asks what you'd like your nightly bedtime to be, and gives you rewards for maintaining it. You get these rewards if you go to sleep either 90 minutes prior to that time, or 30 minutes after. My doctor recommended 30 in each direction for consistency, but they don't send you a reminder notification until that 30 minute mark prior so partial credit I guess? I've missed that bedtime like 3 times in these last five weeks, and yeah my everything is way better.
- Looking at the Pokemon wandering my camp makes my brain make the happy juice in a way most Pokemon stuff really doesn't anymore. Like, there's no battles or anything (although you apparently can transfer to and from Pokemon Go, don't know how well that works because I don't play), so you just get a pleasant kind of domesticity most Pokemon stuff doesn't do.
- Here's the actual gameplay loop. You're researching Pokemon sleep patterns. To do this, you're using some nonsense machine that amplifies local Snorlax's natural aura of sleepiness to attract Pokemon to come sleep by it. Snorlax's are apparently the capybaras of the Pokeworld which I actually love. The more you feed Snorlax, the more powerful this sleepy aura becomes. It resets each week because you go to a new campsite with a new Snorlax. During the day, your team of Pokemon (max of... 5 for some reason instead of the default six everywhere else in this franchise?) gather berries to feed your Snorlax throughout the day in idle-game-esque timers, as well as ingredients for more complicated meals. You take the ingredients, make Snorlax meals up to three times a day (6am-noon for breakfast, noon-6pm for lunch, 6pm-6am for dinner). Each pokemon also has an ability that in some way helps you out. Then you can at any time turn on the sleep tracking, then turn it off when you wake up. After a rest of 90+ minutes has been tracked, it gives you a total of how much power that rest generated, and takes you to a minigame where you photograph the sleeping Pokemon that came to rest in your camp. The more power, the more varied the sleeping positions and the rarer the Pokemon. You can then feed them biscuits to befriend them. You get the equivalent of a Great Ball(/Biscuit) every day which on its own fills about 3/5 of a non-evolved Pokemon's friendship bar (the basic biscuit that you'll use most of the time fills 1/5), so there's always at least some progress towards making a friend. Sometimes a Pokemon is extra hungry and the first thing you feed them is worth triple, and you can also get that same multiplier as an RNG thing without warning. Once you fill up a bar, you've befriended that Pokemon and can now add it to your teams or send it to the professor for candies like you do in Pokemon Go. You are also given candies for every Pokemon you attracted even if you don't befriend them, plus "Sleep Points" based on how long you slept for that can be exchanged for items like more biscuits (for reference, a single basic biscuit is roughly 1.5 times a good night's sleep... fucking YIKES) plus "Dream Shards" for how cool the photos you took are, which are used mostly for leveling up your Pokemon and upgrading your camp.
- I love this gameplay loop actually. It feels way more like these Pokemon are my friends as opposed to wild animals I've caught.
- Leveling up and evolving take large amounts of those candies and dream shards. The candies feel like the primary gate on progression.
Overall, this is a game I like a lot despite its flaws, and the positive impact it's had on my health even in this short span is hard to understate. I wish they'd back off with the creepy monetization so I could actively recommend instead of recommend with an asterisk. But yeah that's my thoughts on this weird ass product.

Disability Approved Side Hustles
I've been planning on making a video/tiktok series about this for like two months—but, you know, disabled—so maybe I'll update it to be fancier later. Who knows?
Note: None of these are going to make you enough to live on, either together or separately, but sometimes every little bit counts!
Bridge Money - referral code TWSCBQ
This is the simplest/easiest of my suggestions. Watch up to 25 ads a day for 1 cent each. Yeah, I know that's only like $7 a month if you remember most days. But it's so easy to do while doing almost anything else (that let's you use a hand for a sec every 30 secs or so) that it's just $7 you're leaving on the table if you don't do it.
You also get 2 cents cash back for purchases if you link a card. They have random offers for $4 if you do x thing, games you earn 1 cent a minute for playing, etc. But I mainly just get my 25 cents each day.
Please use a referral code, either mine or someone else's, because both people get $1!
Mistplay - referral in link (android only)
This is the main one I use. You play games on an android device and earn units you can then buy giftcards with. This is good if on SSI because it doesn't go to your bank account! But it does have paypal as an option if that's not a concern. I've earned over $400 so far, and someone more dedicated could have earned more in the same time frame. (I don't want to burn out.)
The best strategy is to play games that have the most "speed" bubbles first, and up to checkpoint 5, then switch games. Find one "loyalty game" that gives 4 gems per $1 and spend $2 to get to silver status (should last two months). DO NOT UNINSTAL THAT GAME! As long as you're actively using the app, you'll make the $2 back from the bonuses. Sometimes you'll get a "Daily Task" to get to checkpoint 6+ and depending on the reward it might be worth it then. If a game is boosted to like 8 speed bubbles, it can also be worth it go past checkpoint 5. Use your judgement.
Playwell - don't think it does referrals?
Very similar to Mistplay. If you like playing games on your phone and want to play one Mistplay doesn't have, it might be here. (I refuse to play games for free anymore lol.) I mostly just have it because sometimes I'm able to double dip. Right now I am playing Merge Inn which is a 4 speed bubble game on Mistplay and earns 5k points per 15 minutes on Playwell. I'm going past checkpoint 5 for this one because I'll earn $2 if I get to level 31 in the game through Playwell plus the time based rewards. And I just like merging games.
Swagbucks - referral in link
Swagbucks has a ton of stuff. I would suggest you actually look up a post specific to that to see all the options because it's like surveys, receipts, offer walls, coupons, just... a lot.
But like Mistplay and Playwell it also does games. And like Playwell you can also sometimes double dip! So I'll check there and see if they have an offer for games that have higher speed bubbles on Mistplay. Some of the offers are really hard and time consuming so def look into it first, though. You can often find guides on reddit for getting them done on time.
Atlas Earth - referral code BAMSSE
This is going to seem like a scam at first. I actually had it downloaded for a few weeks, thought it was too much effort for too little return, stopped using it, and then changed my mind. It has a sort of snowball effect so at the beginning you'll make basically nothing—fractions of a cent kinda nothing—but over time have the potential to make a few hundred bucks a year.
At the beginning it is more important to be hard core about it. I had a timer set every 20 minutes for a while lol. Now, I'm a bit more lax. If I kept up the timer I could increase my earnings faster but again, don't want to burn out. The ads say also grocery stores but we don't have any that take part in our area. You can (and we did) use this in conjunction with the 2 cents from Bridge money, whatever cash back you get on the card itself, scanning the receipt, etc.

5 THINGS YOU’LL FIND IN THEIR POCKETS
Woodcarving Knife- As a craftman and adventuerer Senritsu carries the knife with herself in case she needs to cut wood for a campfire or work on wood for a instrument. Or in case she is cornered in the Mafia and needs to show that she can defend herself. Naturally the knife is only for show, as with her Aura she easily can enhance her body to break bones with her bare hands, so the knife is only there to be shown as a warning. Due to the knifes old age and metal, the blade looks black.
Leatherwallet- Senritsu does not carry a Driving-License, Identification Card, Passport or other cards with her that could help people identifying her. She did not even has a Driving-License, as she became a Hunter when she was eighteen and the HUnter-License allowes her officially to drive any vehicle . Even her creditcard is a prepaid creditcard without her name on it. The Wallet only has cash-money in it and the small key to a safe deposit box by one of Yorkshins trainstations where she stores her personal documents. However in the wallet is a very old, untidy folded photograph from the Hunter-Exam of 1995 of Ask, Wing and Senritsu where they had asked someone to make a picture of them after they had passed the exam. Considering how much time had passed and what had happned to Senritsu and Ask, Senritsu feels safe enough to carry the photograph with her even to her work.
Mosquitone Device- The communication device produces high-pitched sounds, similar to the buzzing of a mosquito, that is so highpitched that only people below a certain age can hearit. Or people with a very, very, very keen hearing (as in either Senritsus hearing or by Aura enhanced hearing). It is activated with the press of ones thumb and used to send coded messages like morse-code.
Foam earplugs- Life is hard when you can hear the mites in the carpet cough. The earplugs barely lock anything out, but on very bad days when Senritsu feels a migraine come in or is in general already restless, she puts them in and hopes for the best.
Mobile Phone- Senritsu uses Apps for reading texts out loud for her, translating her spoken words into written words, and as a translation device for when she is faced with a language she neither speaks nor understands. The Mobile-phone looks like it had been through hell and back with a cracked monitor, a cracked shell and a very old, worn down leathercase in which Senritsu had carved in musicnotes.
5 THINGS YOU’LL SEE THEM WEAR
Pink Balllerina Shoes- Senritsus favorite colour is pink and she has always at least one pink colthes-item on herself; be is gloves, a blouse, leggings or as in most cases- pink ballerina-shoes. Considering Senritsus backpain, she only wears the ballerina-shoes to sooth the ache in her back as this is the best alternative beside walking barefoot in her daily life. She despises the days she has to dress up enough to wear highheels, not because she does not like pretty shoes, but because of how her back feels at the end of the day.
Music-Band-Tshirt -Either washed out blackish grey, dark red or dark green, Senritsu had collected Band-Tshirts from every Musicband she had been listening to. She is a musician but she is as much a massive fan of musicbands as she is of her own work. In fact, the musicbands she listens to are a big inspiration for her wor as Musichunter. Senritsu has to keep up a certaine appearance doing her work by wearing blouses or formal shirts on workhours or puts on a west over those thicker blouses as protection from woodsplinters when she is workign her craft and t-shirt-cloth is by all means not protetcive, so her utterly beloved Music-Band-TShirts are most of the time reduced to sleepwear. Yet as soon as she is off-duty and not working on restoring / building a instrument she will promptly put on one of those tshirts. Most of the Tshirts are from rock or heavy-metal-bands. Mozart had not lived in an era wherein his face could be put on Musicband-tshirts. Senritsus most precious music-band-tshirt is from her younger sisters (the twins) rockband merch. She would not tell anyone about her family, especially not of the twingirls as her younger sisters, but its a tshirt she always has in her luggage with her.
Felt-Fedora- When he had been still alive Ask usually plucked a random flower from wherever they were (or even a random windowboxes that definitive got him into trouble) everyday and put it into Senritsus hat hatband. Now Senritsu is doing that on her own. She misses her friend.
Yellow cloth-ribbon around her left ankle - a yellow cord worn in a small bown on the cloth or around the wrist was a mark of Traveling People in medieval age. The yellow cord is specifically known as "Hurenbänder" (Whore-cords). Now "Fahrendes Volk"-"Traveling People" is just a collective term to put a lot- A LOT!- of different groups who barely at all have anything to do with another: From traveling Minsterls, to lawless, to prostitues, to wandering craftman, to bards, to thiefs, to robbers, to Sinti and Roma, and in general anyone that would not fit into "normal" towns folk. Naturally this means Traveling People are not "one" group with a similar background, but actually many different groups summed up in one group because people like neat categories and "dangeoruse strangers that do no belong to US" is easy enough of a category, despite the obvious differences betwen the groups and how closed up they were towards eachother occaionally. In Senritsus case her group of Traveling People happned to be lawless Music-instrument-craftman who earned money on the side as Thiefs, scammers, prostitutes, poachers and eventually robbers (graverobbers, more accurately). Which is also the reason why Senritsu remarked that she has no specific marriagetradition, because in her group there were many marriage-traditions and many different religions, as the group traveled together and helped eachother as a big family, but they did not all had the same cultural / religious background and were barely at all related to another in any way beside the craftmanship of using bones as material for musicinstruent that would become the groups main-income after the body-part-collector discovered them (for better or for worse) and eventually displace any other way of income for the group over the years. The yellow ribbon Senritsu wears under her sleeve that was hundreds years ago used to mark her kind of group as the "dangerouse strangers" occaisonally was forced on her group to be worn when they visited certaine areas. Now Senritsu wears it out of a waggish sense of humor and spite.
Blouses with funny collars- Senritsu has a certaine way of dresscode she needs for work: either she needs to appear professional, or she needs to have clothes on that protect her during herwork with wood. A longsleeved blouse or thick tunic under a vest is more protective than the by Senritsus beloved band-tshirts made of jersey. However Senritsu protests a little against the dresscode by usually chosing blouses with funny collars, be it with lace, or funny colours, or something that looks like a fool-collar with just the small bells on the end missing.
5 THINGS YOU’LL FIND IN THEIR ROOM Senritsu does not has a room. The last time she had been living in one place longer than three months was in the Music-Consortiums Student-Dorm and even if she stayed there six years, she always saw it just as a stopover and not a place that is hers to decorate and make her home. Accordingly Senritsu usually only stays in random Hotelrooms. So what is findable in the Hotelrooms every time again?
Charlottenburger-Cloth as a bedspread- The Charlottenburger is a 88x88 cm big cloth that is traditionally used by Journeymen to roll into a "sausage" and carry their most important belongings in by wrapping a belt around the "sausage" and wear it over the left shoulder(as one has the wanderstaff int he right hand). Origianlly Journeymen were not allowed to carry their belongings in bags as there could be bugs travel with them from town to town. Just because a Charlottenburger is only 30x70 cm when wrapped up there is actually a lot that can be carried in it as a journeymans traditional baggage usually weights up to 20 kg. Senritsus Charlottenburger is in most verses printed with the carpenter-guild-crest. In the JJK-Verse Senritsu specifically has the Miller-Guild-crest printed on the cloth. In all verses Senritsu had embroidered Gaunerzinken on one side of the Cloth as a map-legend so she would not forget the symbols. Gaunerzinken is a secret-language used by society-outsiders (Traveling people, Homeless people, Thiefs... etc) to draw on hosuewalls (or other things) to communicate to other Outsiders like "Dangerouse dog" or "get a free meal here" or "save place to stay overnight" or "they offer work" or more nefarious "only two people live here", "easy target", "come back at night so we can make a plan to rob this place" etc...
Senritsus Laptop- For writing mails, planning travelingroutes and online researches. But also the laptop has Senritsus writing app on, that she can dictate to and than let her voice be translated into written words. The Laptop looks so worn down with a cracked shell that it seems it had been thrown to the ground several times. it is still working, though.
THE CHAIR with laundry that definitive could be worn another day- Senritsu is a not especially tidy person. She keeps a strict hold on her belongings, because she for one is always traveling but also she knows that when she is getting too many belongings she will get horrible untidy. The chair with her careless thrown over it laundry is a sall example for this.
A waterglass with cutflowers- Usually Senritsu does not even asks for a vase to put the flowers in but simply takes a waterglass.She does bring a small bouquet of cutflowers with her back from work when she is staying in a room longer than a week. Those are never special flowers, they are the cheap small bouquets buyable in supermarkets. For one Senritsu just really likes flowers and on the other hand she can make sure they stay fresh when she puts everyday one of those flowers in her hats hatband.
Big knot of recharger cabels- For her laptop and her mobile Phone. Senritsu is really not a tidy person and the fact that she has all her electronic devices cabels together in a knot to make sure they do not get lost is just one example of her knowing herself much too well.
5 THINGS THAT MAKE THEM HAPPY
Drawing- Senritsus drawingskills usully focus on technical drawings for her instrument building /restore work. And she loves her work of conrtsucting and restoring instruments so much, that she has many sketchbooks filled with drawn out notes and spend nights over those technical drawings to make them perfect. Occaisonally she will draw flowers like her mother did in her herb-study-books.
Camping+Hiking- Traveling is part fo Senritsus work, but she actually has a great love and enjoyment of grabbing her backpack and going hiking. For one it is part of her work, when she is payed to seek out distant groups far away fom bigger cities for documenting taditional songs or finding old instruments, but she likes the literal freedom of just going wherever she wants in those parts of her work. After she had been cursed, Senritsu had developted a great distaste for cities and their permanent noises and her love for just sleeping in a sleepingback while watching the stars and listening to the insects had grown proportionally. However, considering her backpain those nights outside are a lot of rougher on her than they used to be. Not that this would stop Senritsu (ones own health is usually not that important for Hunters. Its a occupational disease) but she might return from a trip bruised all over but also very happy.
Reading- Due to Senritsus never especially well worked with dyslexia she does not like reading. However, she is curious, she is eager to learn and she loves to learn new things fitting to her special interests. So while she would not read a book, she will at any time possible listen to a audiobook. Musicians biographys, History on dances and certaine instruments, Travel-logs- Whenever she does not need to actively listen to someone/something, Senritsu will pluck in her headphones and "read" an audiobook.
Singing & Playing Music & Listening to Music & Dancing - There is not much to say about this part: Senritsu loves Music. She loves listening to it, she loves discovering new musicbands, she loves listening to how different groups ahd came up with different instruments and sounds to make music, she loves to write her own songs, she loves dancing and researching and learning new dances.
An After-work-Beer with her Colleagues- Senritsu is a very simple person and spending her first twelve years as a member of a group of Traveling People, she is used to her "familymembers" always changing. SOmetimes people join them and hey share food and drinks and sleepingquarters for a few weeks, than people leave that she had known for years. Accordingly her working-colleagues are her current "Family", so she just loves to sit with them at the end of the day, maybe drink a beer and talk about the day, before going to sleep eventually.
5 THINGS THEY’RE CURRENTLY INTO
Japanese cuisine- Basho had cooked a few times for the bodyguards in the evening after work and she usually stands beside him while he is cooking and watches him attentive. Basho is horrified by the food she usually eats and he had made it a mission to make sure she gets proper meals that conists of more than instant-food.
Nen-Exorcism - After she had been cursed Senritsu seeked out the Hunter Associations Exorcist only to be told that she could not be helped, as the Post-Mortem Nen was much too strong after centuries of dwelling on the Componists rage. Influenced by this Senritsus goal is it to develop her Hatsu further so it can lift curses, but she would need to go into training under a Nen-exorcist and put Limitations on her Hatsu. For now with her work in the Mafia she needs her Hatsu as freely useable as it is so she can swiftly adjust to any situation. If she would develop her Hatsu now with Vows and Limitations, she would put herself in a lot of danger.
Curses- The Sonata of Darkness is not the only musical-based curse Senritsu had encountered in her life as a Music-Hunter. Considering how easy Music is connected to emotions, there are a lot of curses that spring into life through Music: Instruments made of the wood of old gallows and soaked up in the excuted negative emotions, songs written from rage that cause this emotions in the listeners and cause violent frenzies, Postm-mortem-Nen bound to instruments by orgotten artists that do not want other artist to archive what they didn´t.... Senritsu had the misfortune to stumble over a curse that was strong enough to shatter her body, but it was not the first time she had encountered a curse in her line of work. SHe wants to find out as much aboutt hem as possible.
Her younger sisters Rock-band + her oldest sisters next concerts Theme- Either her two younger-sisters (the twins) next rock-concert or her oldest sisters harph-concert, Senritsu does her best to keep track of where her sisters are and where they are having concerts. She does not always manages to get in time to the palce to be there, but she alwas watches them online and she is looking forward to every single one of those concerts. She is definitive their biggest fan.
The Dances and Songs Kurapika grew up with- Based on RPs with @skarletchains , Senritsu is very curious about Kurapikas Background. For one simply because she wants to learn more about her friend; he is relaxed and calm when he can share with her these details that he had not talked about with anyone for years; and she enjoys and feels honoured that he trusts her this much; but also because researching dances and songs of different groups is part of her Hunter-Work and she is mesmerized and very happy to hear him talk.
5 THINGS THINGS ON THEIR TO-DO LIST
Destroying the Sonata of Darkness- selfexplanatory. It is Senritsus goal to destroy the Sonata. Whatever she is doing or whereever she is working at, eventually it is all because she works to find the different sheets and burn them.
Getting her oldest Sister Kotone into safety- Kotone is six years older than Senritsu and the first child of their parents. When she was eighteen, Kotone left the Traveling People to join a traveling orchestra. An action that catapulted her carrier as a Musician into the metaphorical orbit as only two years later she turned out to be a lot of more wanted as a solo-musician playing the harph. That was also when she met the member of the Mafia who would become her Benefactor. This was her misfortune-With all her supportsystem left behind with the Traveling People that "Benefactor" took her douments from her to keep her from leaving and took control of her musical carrier and concert-organisation. Kotone is very much a prisoner. She is part of the mans human-zoo and she only leaves on tours organised by him. Senritsu stumbled over Kotone when she first started to work for the Mafia in the first year after she was cursed. Kotone did not recognized her and did not accepted the offer for help from "a stranger". Senritsu, who still needed the Mafia-members connections to continue her search for the Sonata left Kotone behind. The decision still haunts her. She wants to return and help Kotone escape, but for now has not found a place where Kotone would be safe and completly out of the mans reach.
Visiting Lukso with Kurapika+ Supporting him in finding the remainding Scarlet Eyes- After the Nostrade Family lost their fortune and he Ten Dons were murdered, Senritsu actually had no reason to stay with the Mafia. The influence and money sh seeked the Family out for to use to get informations on the Sonata was gone. SHe stil stayed with the Mafia, because she wanted to support Kurapika in his goals. She wants to find the Scarlet Eyes and than accompany her friend to Lukso so he could burry them.
Going into further Nen-Training+ Studying Nen-exorcism - After the Sonata is destroyed and after she ould help Kurapika find all the Scarlet Eyes she wants to rebuild her Hatsu in a Exorcist-ability to help people who had been put in the same situation as she was as her Hatsu is after all already a Healing-ability. Considering of self-destructive Nen-exorcism can be for the exorcist, it might not be the best idea for someone whos body is already so changed and mangled. but Senritsu had never been especially good at caring for her physical health.
Having the round-the-world- trip with Basho- Senritsu and Basho met in the Nostrade-familys mansion, had a talk and just promptly clicked in humor and life-philosophy. They were friendly with another before Yorkshin and turned into best friends after they survived Yorkshin. When they were at Yorkshin, Basho had told Senritsu that he wants to go on a world-tour as soon as he finishs the job as Life needs to be enjoyed. Senritsu agreed. Later on their trip back to the Nostrade mansion, Basho asked her if she would like to join him on the trip and Senritsu ladly agreed. With the death of the Ten Dons and Kurapika taking over the Nostrade-family and both of them wanting to support Kurapika, they are however far from "finishing the job", yet its still Senritsus goal to accompany her friend on the trip.
BONUS: Rebuilding the ancient Guzheng- Before she was cursed, Senritsu had worked on to get her first Star by rebuilding an ancient instrument. When she had traveled to the Aizen continent and learned to play Guzheng, her teacher told her about variations of the instrument that were written in very old texts. She also told Senritsu about the different variations of the instrument in different communities and how the build had changed in those communities depending ont he songs played on it and the time that had passed. Senritsu started to project to collect the different ancient texts and the different variants of that instrument, search for the ancient wood it was build from, so she could rebuild the original instrument the variations had grown out of in the last centuries. Her goal was to reverse- engineer the old instrument and bring the songs played on it back into the world. The project is for now delayed, but its still Senritsus dream to build that ancient instrument, play it, let people listen to it, and earn her first star.
