What Blast Media Should I Use In A Wet Blast Cabinet?
Introduction
Choosing the correct abrasive media for wet blasting is very important because an inappropriate media choice will not provide the desired finish. It can not only cause a rework but in some cases may cause damage to the blasted surface.
This article guides you in choosing the appropriate media for a wet blasting cabinet.
Different abrasive media that can be used in a wet blast cabinet
The different abrasive media that you normally use in a wet blast cabinet are garnet, glass bead, aluminum oxide, crushed glass, and soda bi-carbonate
Garnet (Almandine and Alluvial) : Garnet is a type of gemstone and has good natural abrasive properties. Garnet has a sub-angular shape, Mohs hardness number 7 to 7.5, comes in different grit sizes and it can remove coatings, old paint, rust, and mill scale from metal surfaces and can work on hard metals also. The coarser grit is suitable for working on aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and other metals and finer grit is suitable for materials like fiberglass. Garnet can quickly work through coatings and contaminants.
Crushed glass: Crushed glass has Mohs number of 5.5 to 7 and is good for wet blasting aluminum and steel. The crushed glass has an angular shape and forms a sharp anchor profile; however, selecting a proper grit size and blasting velocity can give you the required anchor profile/finish. The advantage of crushed glass is it is a recycled material (environmentally friendly), cheap, and effective for many works. Crushed glass can be an economical media for the wet blasting of components like alloy wheels.
Glass beads: A glass bead media consists of spherical glass particles and leaves a fine and polished finish on the blasted surface. The Mohs hardness of glass beads ranges from 5.5 to 6 and the particle size can be coarse to fine. The glass beads have a smooth surface all over and are safe for blasting soft and delicate materials. Glass beads are very popular for wet blast cabinets and by varying the blasting velocity a smooth anchored profile or a fine finish can be achieved.
Aluminum oxide: The aluminum oxide has angular shaped particles; a Mohs hardness of 8 to 9 and the grit size of this media can be coarse to fine depending on the need. By varying the grit size and blasting velocity, aluminum oxide can be used for wet blasting hard metals (even with thin sections) and this is a good media for tough cleaning, extracting paint, coating, and rust. This is useful for finishing and edge rounding of surfaces. The high recyclability of aluminum oxide makes it an affordable media.
Soda bi-carbonate: The soda bi-carbonate used for wet blasting is not the baking soda used in our kitchen. There are companies like Armex and Natrium that manufacture a variety of soda bi-carbonates specifically for the soda blasting process. The size of soda bi-carbonate particles may vary from 70 to 270 microns. Soda bi-carbonate is not an abrasive material and hence it cannot be used for surface profiling. Soda bi-carbonate is used as a media when the surface needs a smooth finish without any profile.
Factors to be considered for selecting the right abrasive media for wet blasting
The factors you have to consider when selecting an abrasive media for wet blasting are the grit size, shape, hardness, and density of the media, and blasting velocity. Factors like friability (tendency to break into smaller particles under force), recyclability, and cost are also important.
Size: The blast media comes in different grit sizes. Larger media particles will make deeper depressions but lesser depressions per unit area resulting in a rough surface finish. Smaller abrasive particles make shallow depressions but more depressions per unit area result in a finer surface finish.

I think if watamote was a western cartoon, YouTubers would make rant videos on it and people would make animated atrocities scorecards on it for being "mean-spirited." they'd either call tomoko a "megward the wizard" or make crudely drawn art of her getting beaten up by other cartoons
#this is exactly the type of show that certain abrasive cartoon reviewers would tear to shreds#but I actually like this show#which is strange because I usually don't like secondhand embarrassment in media#in this case I think I relate a bit too much to tomoko#I think she embodies the ugly side of not just people with social anxiety but pretty much everyone#watamote#tomoko kuroki

I'm both the most thoughtful and compassionate person that I know-and I'm not exaggerating, and have an entire list of things that I do every day to prove it- and at the same time I'm only attracted to abrasive, extremely terrible people that are very blunt about their truth.
It is the most conflicting exhausting extensive combination of personality and it makes no sense to me whatsoever.
#my personality is abrasive opposite contradictions constantly weaponizing at each other at the same time#The sociopathy of the internet everyday has made me feel like nobody is special or is paid attention to for a reason#and including me#truly one of the most inhuman things I have experienced has been using social media for a community#just to see people constantly be talked to down to and be told that they're nothing everyday of their life#I'm not sure if I can ever believe in good social lives for most people again haha#everybody is too crazy judgmental and cynical

tumblr ate the original version of this post, but tl;dr i'd gotten to thinking about the 'don't just like, reblog!!1!' discourse that seems to have intensified lately, and i think for me the issue is basically that artists seem to want to have their cake and eat it too when it comes to whether they're our peers, or actual professionals?
like—fundamentally my blog is my space to express my own taste in. period. that's what it's fundamentally primarily for. ergo i'm not going to reblog things i have mixed feelings about, because that would be misrepresenting my taste, unless i can append critique to them in order to clarify where my taste diverges. which i can do, with professional work!
but i'm pretty sure most tumblr artists would be upset to find criticism popping up in their notes. which is totally understandable! but like. if i have to discuss your work politely, rather than honestly, because you're a peer who's in the room with me—then yeah, if i don't like it enough, i won't reblog it, because if i don't have anything good to say, i shouldn't say anything. which isn't how we handle professional art! but it is how we handle our peers.
and it just seems to me like—you've got artists out here going 'i'm a struggling amateur, so you should do me a solid and toss me some free publicity! 🥺' but also 'i'm trying to make a living at this, so you should do me a solid and toss me some free publicity! 🥺' and i just feel like, which is it? because if you're my peer, then i'm only going to discuss your work publicly if i like it enough, because to do otherwise would be rude. and if you're a professional, then i don't owe it to you to subsidize your business by providing free advertising! if a business's products don't actually organically appeal to people, it should go under!
which maybe sounds harsh, but like. i have no desire to see making art restricted in any way. people should make whatever art they like, regardless of audience or quality, and derive joy from that! but like. if you want to make a living from your art, you should, actually, be making work of a quality that will speak for itself, in which case you shouldn't need to browbeat people into recommending it??
#obviously there's some nuance around the edges of this discussion and what i've said here is an oversimplification#but i feel like this discourse has gotten to a point where it's worth just staking out some basic ground#like. idk. (1) art is an actual craft and being good at it is an actual skill#and if you're trying to go pro with it‚ it *isn't* just about uncriticizable ~self-expression~ anymore#and (2) no one owes it to you to use their personal corner of social media to provide you with free advertising#like. frankly i'm not convinced people are confused about the difference between likes and reblogs#in the way that this discourse seems to think they are#i think most people hit like on stuff they like‚ and reblog stuff they want to tell their friends about#and not everything in the first category makes it into the second category#just as i don't mass-text all my friends about literally everything that makes me smile over the course of a day!#like. idk. it IS fucking hard to make a living at art but i just really don't think that trying to force more of a response out of people#than your art is eliciting organically#is the way to go about it‚ for a lot of reasons#anyway the original version of this post was better—this one's more abrasive but like. the original got et#so now you're getting annoyed!me :)#a wild engagement with the discourse appears

you know i guess some people would consider me a Hater (though i'm not; i'm just a harsh critic and sort of pretentious) but there are some people on this website that really take the cake. their blogs are solely composed of complaints about media (of course) to the point that i wonder if they actually like anything
#are they entertaining bc of it? sure#but sometimes it goes too far and you're only left with abrasiveness and condescension#text#some people need to relearn how to just sit back and be a spectator#and not let media thoughts consume their life

There's a lot of good insight in the tags from the folks rebloging, but these tags from @spiderskull142 caught my eye;
Spiderskull knew they may have been wrong, but were right. What if they were wrong? The students in the above reply didn't know they may have been wrong.
"If it's so obvious, why are you wrong? <3"
Because people have never been more afraid to learn <3
On the one hand, whenever someone is hit with the facts of something online, it's almost always an act of dominance and shame. The community notes aren't there to teach you about global warming if you didn't know about it, it's there as a way for the community to dog pile someone to stop misinformation. " You didn't know CO2 holds more heat than water vapour? You're a fucking moron. Fuck you idiot" Even scientific educators are hit with this. I'll always remember this one Twitter thread I saw. A marine scientist was engaging with someone about ocean temperature. Somebody entered the discussion asking for a clarification on one of the scientist's points. The scientist told the questioner, "Go look up the question before jumping into a discussion that you clearly know nothing about. I'm tired of receiving death threats from people who think they know better than me." The questioner simply replied, "Oh..." They did nothing to prompt that response, nothing on their timeline, not even the discussion being particularly heated. Here was an opportunity for someone to learn a vital fact that could lead into an interest into a myriad of positive outcomes. This WAS them trying to learn something to better themselves, straight from a primary source, in a sea of false information, corporate statistical manipulation and now algorithmically generated articles. And they were shamed for it.
People don't want to speak up, because if they learn something, their personhood is devalued. Education is being used as a tool for marginalization when it should be a tool for lifting people out of it. How can you be mad at people for not wanting to take part in an othering system?
"But they chose to go to college?" No they did not.
They don't WANT to learn. They want to be able to live comfortably. If you want a decent living, you have to earn it. Academia is a meritocracy! But hold on, didn't they already spend the last 20 years of their life working to earn a basic spot in society? Weren't those years spent watching their peers be marginalised based on academic performance and perceived intelligence? Too bad, if you want a spot in your community, you have to rise above your peers! Fuck them! At least you finally get to have a choice in what work you do. So you might as well go into something you... kinda like???? You are 19, it's time to decide who you are, no matter how much you may come to regret it. You will have to pay for that choice, either financially, or emotionally, for the rest of your life. No more trials or demos, if you were even afforded one.
So pick your lane and stay in it. DO NOT ASK YOUR LECTURER QUESTIONS, EVEN IF THEY ASK YOU TO, OR YOU'LL BE OSTRACISED. IF YOU WANT A BETTER LIFE, YOU WILL NOT FUCK THIS UP. I love learning. It's so much fun! It's like a toy to me! But every time I approach someone with my toy, they're afraid I'm going to hit them with it. Because that is the outcome they've come to expect. On my toy, they see the faces of the authorities that abused them with it. All I ever wanted is to just share my joy.
>video claiming to be essay/history on a topic
>ask them if its analysis or summary
>they dont understand
>pull out detailed chart explaining what's analyzing the ideas and motives behind a text and what is just presenting information without thinking about it
>"it's a good video, ma'am"
>watch it

silence immersed the room as the door clicked shut behind you. the ticking clock a reminder of how little time you have.
“you’re such an asshole, you know that?” you spewed to the male in front of you, your features displaying a look of anger.
katsuki rolled his eyes. “well, it’s not like i get called a ray of fuckin’ sunshine. what else did you honestly expect?” he crossed his arms over his chest, taking a seat atop of the long metal table.
“not much, yet you still seem to subceed my expectations.”
“subceed? seriously?” katsuki paused to let a scoff escape his lips. “you’re upset because i’m actually selling this story? the only one, might i add. this was your shitty grand idea!”
unknowingly, you took a step forward.
“the idea was to make it known we disliked each other. not for you to publicly shame and insult me!”
you, katsuki and a few other heroes were invited to attend a press conference. while the original topic was to discuss about the mission you all completed the day before, the topic began to stray away and focus on the relationship between you and katsuki.
japan knows of the hatred you and katsuki shared between each other, that was no unknown fact. the media described you two as fiery rivals considering both of your quirks contained fuel.
you two despised each other. or at least that’s the lie you fooled everyone with.
you were unsure when katsuki started to look appealing to the eye, how attractive he was when he was drowned in sweat, how you began to long for the small but noticeable glances he sent you in public. you couldn’t tell when it happened. but before you knew it, a small pool of desire that had katsuki’s name printed on it began to fill every minute of the day.
“which is no different than what we used to do. you want them to believe it? then don’t take my shit. suck it up and be a bigger asshole than i already am.” he was right. you know he was right. but it was so difficult to pretend as if you hated him.
even if you called him a bitch, or a cunt, maybe even call him out for having a small dick—which you know is far from the truth—that still wouldn’t deny the peace you felt whenever you were with katsuki. how the world seemed to stop still on its axis. how there were no rain, wind or time. just pure bliss.
fuck.
out of everyone, it just had to be him? his captivating, intense ruby irises. his brash, abrasive demeanor. only his words that could seem to sway you. the man the world deemed you to abhor.
instead of admitting the truth, you twist his words. “well, i’m pleased to know it’s so easy for you to do.”
“jesus fuck, y/n.” now, katsuki rose from his position, never once breaking eye contact with you. “you think this is easy for me? you think i like getting up there and lying through my teeth? doing this is the one of the hardest things i’ve ever done.”
he walks closer and even closer to you, minimizing the distance you established for good reasons. this is how it always happens; one of you forgets about the space you two have to maintain until words don’t seem to work anymore. instead, your lips weave together, forming a new way to communicate.
but you don’t move. you don’t want to.
“is it? all those insults feels like it comes pretty smooth to you.”
katsuki pauses as he takes a second to analyze you. his eyes scan your body then leading right up to your face.
“because those are the words i wish i could mean. every time, it burns me to say those things about you when i’d rather be up there claiming every single part about you.” he lowered to a whisper, but his voice maintained a fervent tone.
his hand raises, slow and steady. he cups your cheek, gently swiping his thumb across your cheek. instinctively, you lean into his palm, your eyes softening as you gaze into his eyes.
“you think i enjoy this?” you watch his jaw tighten, his hand dropping to your hip. “think i like watching you talk with those eager men? it takes everything in me to not beat them shitless for daring to come across you. do you know how hard it is to fight the urge to pull you in and show them that you’re not available?”
too captivated by his words, you didn’t notice how katsuki lowered his head. you could feel the heat of his body from how he gave you no room to breathe. he placed his lips on your soft skin, slowly kissing the side of your neck.
no. resist him. your mind was screaming. this couldn’t go on forever. at some point, you guys had to stop.
“what will make them back off? if i mark you up? think they’ll understand then?” he proposed the question, but to you, it seemed more like he was asking for permission.
you didn’t know what effect katsuki placed on you to have you like this. but in this moment, you didn’t care about the rumors, the consequences, your image. it was all pushed back in the back of your head. so, you slightly tilted your head upwards, giving him more leeway to continue.
katsuki gripped your hips. not too strong to leave a mark but strong enough to squeeze a small moan out of you.
“don’t you fuckin’ understand, y/n?” he leans away to look in your eye.
“what?” you meekly responded.
“i go insane when it comes to you. i’m not the kind of guy that drools over any woman’s attention. but, you… fuck.” he stops himself, from what you can only assume was to control himself with whatever he was about to say. “not being able to have you only makes me crave you more.”
you stay quiet.
“you know how many times i’ve tried to resist you?”
“how many?” finally, you spoke.
“too many fuckin’ times. i’m done fighting it, y/n.”
confusion struck your face. “what do you mean?”
“be mine. forget the press, forget our pr managers. be with me.” katsuki brings you closer with the hand placed on your hip, the action drawing you to one conclusion.
he leans in and interlocks his lips with yours. immediately, you drown in the feeling of his soft but chapped lips that you couldn’t seem to push away. somehow, you find the strength to pull back from him.
“not here. not in pub-”
“yes here.”
with his tone, you could mistake him to be aggressive in this moment. but over the months, you managed to be able to read his eyes from the forbidden glances he’s sent your way; how he really felt through the way he wore his eyes.
katsuki’s eyebrows were slightly furrowed, his soft ruby eyes shifted from your lips to your e/c irises.
there was a look behind his eyes. there were more watchful, more tender than usual. almost as if he was pleading with his eyes. like he was begging.
so, how could you say no to him in this state? him being so vulnerable with you?
but that was always the problem.
you could never say no to katsuki bakugou, no matter what.
your arms wrap around his neck, drawing him in with your eyes. he inclined his head and laid his lips on your mouth. the silence that did wrap the room ten minutes ago was replaced with the noise of sloppy kisses, your mouths powering over each other.
you can feel your heart rate increase from the action, even more noticeably so when he entangles a fist in the back of your shirt. he needs you closer, maybe within his skin if possible.
following his action, you guide your fingers through his ash blonde strands, sending a shiver down his spine. he nibbles on the bottom of your lip, pulling it just slightly.
“we really shouldn’t be doing this.” your murmur, yet his ears catches it. “this would be the hottest topic for the media.”
a snicker parted his lips. “we just can’t be caught. but the day you stop being scared, i’m ready.” his words vague and simple, yet still holding so much promise.
“i hate you.”
and you did. you hated that he was too enticing. too irresistible.
“thought it was hard for you to say things you don’t mean?” he referred from earlier. of course, that was just like him. the same him you mistakenly fell for.
“just shut up.” was all you replied with before leaning back in to connect his lips with yours, choosing to help him with your statement.
this was supposed to be like a forbidden love trope but i think i just revealed how thirsty i am😔

... y'all know Lae'zel is acting scared, right?
Video transcription: I've seen a lot of comments on my short about Lae'zel dismissing her entire character because she's mean and… I'm just checking in here… you guys know she's scared, right? She's terrified. She was kidnapped by the worst monster she knows, infected with the most horrifying death anyone in her culture can have, and then stranded on a hostile world, alone, with nothing to guide her except the dogmatic military cult indoctrination of a cruel lich demigod, telling her that her only hope of salvation is to follow Gith doctrine with total unyielding faith. And still she tries to save you. When she keeps insisting that you must get to the Githyanki crèche, it's our only hope, she's trying to guide you towards the only salvation she knows from the parasite, so she can share it with you. And Gith... aren't supposed to do that, saving an outsider is not part of the doctrine, she's breaking the rules trying to do right by you. None of that means she's not being an asshole, she's rude, dogmatic and unpleasant. But everything she does comes from a genuine, very misguided and abrasive, desire to do the right thing. It doesn't make her behaviour okay, but there is more to her character than just "being the mean one."
To expand on this a bit more than I can in a 60 second short, people acting from fear and from their damage is a major theme among the Baldur's Gate 3 companions.
Lae'zel is terrified and falling back on the only thing she believes will give her back some control over her situation, which is the dogma of the military cult she's in. Shadowheart is much the same, amnesiac and grasping on to the only solid thing she knows, which is her faith, which preaches deception, loss and duplicity as the only certain factors in life.
Gale is an inveterate people-pleaser desperately dependent on other people to help him feed his magic addiction, with his overtly affable exterior hiding a rolling boulder of guilt, ambition, greed, arrogance and legitimate hurt. Asterion is... well, no way to really lay out his deal without spoiling, but the boy has been through it and his self-destructive, hedonistic and selfish impulses are all coping mechanism and self-defense all the time.
None of that make their shitty behaviours okay, but in a fictional story, those kinds of flaws and toxic behaviours are what make for interesting stories and characters. I don't blame anyone for finding Lae'zel unpleasant and abrasive, but I do get a bit Old Man Yells At Cloud about people who casually brag about shoving her off a cliff-side, or murdering her because "she was a bitch" or whatever.
Like... being unable to face discomfort in your media is not a virtue, and lashing out reactively against fiction that doesn't validate your power fantasy isn't a flex.
Of course, I saw a lot of those reactions in YouTube comments and on social media, so my sample is biased by those algorithms, but still. A lot of people seem aggressively proud that they never engaged with her story because the terrified indoctrinated child-soldier wasn't immediately nice to them and I can't explain it but something about that reaction feels puritan to me.

CARVE YOUR NAME INTO MY BEDPOST / MIGHT AS WELL BE DRUNK IN LOVE
shouto todoroki x f! reader
at a work party gone wrong, shouto finds a secret moment with you amongst the crowd.
smut! you are responsible for what you read!
inspired by dress + slut!
it was hard to find secret moments in a crowded room.
shouto todoroki, now japan’s #2 hero and possibly one of the most famous men in the nation, was loved everywhere. he was handsome, and just socially awkward enough to be charming. he was the topic of most headlines and gossip tabloids these days- and the press thought the knew everything about him. a 22-year old male capricorn, the youngest sibling and a top ranking graduate of UA high school.
one thing shouto relished in, secretly, was that no one had any idea about you and him.
and its not like they made it particularly easy for him.
like now.
shouto came to this event dressed in a sleek black tie and all eyes on him. at this point, he had grown somewhat used to it. he’d you, his wife, by his side. you’d squeeze his hand 3 times everytime you felt his anxiety flare up, especially when the lights began flashing and the familiar clicks of the reporters came about.
at first, he could handle it. just smile, nod, and let the world watch him act. its what he did for most of his life, anyway.
“shouto! are you still maintaining a relationship with your father?”
“shouto! over here!”
“is it true you and your wife want to raise your first child as a hero?”
“can you tell us about your marriage?”
“are you trying to be more like your father these days?”
“how is your family coping with everything thats happened?”
“shouto! what can you tell us about touya todoroki?”
it was starting to grate on him.
he felt the sweat trickle down his forehead at the constant questions. his fists clenched, wanting to shut off all the noise. they had put him and his family through enough, yet they still looked for more stories and more gossip.
he did his best to answer all the questions, taking a deep breath and disassociating like his PR team had told him to do. he was handling it, up until he couldn’t find you through the crowd.
his blurry and hazed eyes scan the room, looking for you and where you might have gone. the air suddenly began to thin, the years of anxiety and inadequacy beginning to build up at the back of his throat. worst of all, you weren’t there to help him ground himself. he was lost in a sea of people, and none of them were you.
luckily, someone else was there to step in.
“OI! BACK OFF FOR ONCE!”
a familiar blonde barks, much to the relief of shouto. after all, pro-hero dynamight had just as much respect as shouto, and the media was more or less used to his abrasiveness.
he lets out a sigh of relief as most of the reporters and fans take a step back, allowing him and bakugou to escape to different corner of the room. the #1 hero immediately senses something is wrong, specifically the fact that you weren’t with your husband.
“the press getting to you?” the blonde asks, his usual dick-bag self being suppressed to help his ‘friend.’
shouto nods, and bakugou sighs sympathetically. even someone like him, who relished in the fame and praise of being hero, understood the mistreatment shouto had experienced all his life. he saw how that mistreatment was only amplified when the public got involved.
“wheres [y/n]?” he asks, red eyes scanning the room for any sign of you. shouto does the same, like a boy in the sea searching for a raft.
bakugou rolls his eyes, deciding he’ll be the hero. “go look for her. i’ll keep them off your back.” he says, turning back to the media frenzy and adjusting his tie, ready to give them what they want. “but you owe me one, icyhot.”
with one manly pat on the back, bakugou walks back out to the crowd, giving shouto a chance of peace.
he immediately opens some door to a room. its some fancy, pompous washroom only the rich could afford. the size of it could it a family, if it wanted to.
but he didn’t care about the lavish architecture. he cared about the way his heart calmed down at the sight of you, sitting on the counter.
“hey.” he walks over to you, sitting next to you and taking your hand. you immediately note his anxiety, evident by the dryness of his throat. theres guilt that creeps into your throat once you realize you left him all alone.
“hey, sho.” you say, immediately taking his hand in yours.
“i lost track of you in the crowd. are you okay, love?” he asks, bi-coloured eyes staring at you with nothing but love. you squeeze his hand in reassurance.
“i’m okay.” you say, chuckling awkwardly. “just, you know… parties.”
he nods sympathetically, understanding how neither of you were particularly fans of big crowds. his gaze flickers over to the washroom door for a moment, making sure the door is locked.
“are you okay, though? those reporters out there were down your throat.” you ask, watching as his expression darkens slightly. from just outside the washroom, the sounds of partygoers can still be heard loud and clear.
he boy sighs, the stress of the media's questioning weighing on him. he appreciates your concern immediately, and he knows he can at least be honest with you.
"it was...a lot," he admits, running a hand through his hair. "they kept asking about my family, and about the you...and i just feel like they're trying to get a reaction out of me."
you nod, understanding his frustrations. you’re quick to validate his worries. “thats exactly what they’re trying to do. they’ll profit off of anything.”
shouto knows that to be completely true.
after the news of endeavour’s abuse towards his family (specifically his firstborn son) came out, shouto felt as though him and his entire family had been engulfed in flames. he soon learned that the paparazzi will do anything for a story. the more you fall apart, the more they’ll flash their camera’s and take notes of your pain.
it seems despite his valiant efforts to get out from his fathers shadow, theres still people that won’t let him forget it.
as if you two share a psychic connection, you can immediately sense whats on his mind. his pain is yours too, and it kills you knowing that there not much you can do to stop it. “i remember when they got a hold of your family story. they took the years of abuse and made money off of it.” you scoff. “its disgusting.”
he feels a pang of anger and disgust at the memory of the media's handling of his family history. he can still remember the way they had twisted and distorted the truth, using it for clickbait headlines and sensationalized stories. it had been traumatic and painful, and they had made it all seem like entertainment.
"it is," he agrees, his voice filled with irritation. “they had no right to turn our lives into a spectacle for their profit. it made me sick.”
you sigh, pressing a kiss to his knuckles. “so much talk about your father these days… i can’t imagine what you’re going through right now.”
shouto ruminates for a second, looking down at his own lap. being young is art, in its own twisted way. being famous means constantly being reminded of what hurts you the most. for shouto, that was the fear that he would one day resemble his father.
they loved to think he’d never forget.
the constant discussion and speculation about his father's actions and legacy has been weighing heavily on him, and he's been trying to distance himself from it as much as he possibly can.
"it’s been...difficult," he admits quietly, looking down at your intertwined hands. “i know who my father was, and what he did, but i feel like everyone is always waiting for me to do the same. like… they're just waiting for me to make a mistake so they can say 'see? you’re just like your father after all.'"
his voice cracks slightly at that last part.
you shake your head valiantly, cupping his face and making sure he’s looking at you. the only other sound that can be heard in the room are the quiet drips from the sink. otherwise, you and shouto managed to drown out the noises from the party. all that mattered was the two of you, together, as if you were in a snow globe.
“shoto, listen. you aren’t your father. you’re so much more. i know the man i fell in love with. i know him because he’s twice the man he came from. he’s kind, and strong, and everything his father wasn’t.”
at that moment, shouto thinks: what if all he needs is you?
“thank you.” he whispers, pressing his forehead against yours. “i needed that.”
you easily reciprocate, feeling his warmth and all that makes him him.
“it’s everything that made you.” you whisper. “all that pain and all that suffering you went through… it made you the man i fell for. all those dead end streets led you to me.” you smile.
with that, he feels truly at peace. if all that suffering led him to you, he’s consider it worth it. he’ll pay the price and you won’t, as long as it means he can love you.
without a word, he leans in to kiss you. his lips fit on yours like the universe especially crafted you two for each other. nothing else matters right now. all of that pining and anticipation, his hands shake from holding back this entire night. he’s desperately waiting to love you, and show you how much he does.

theres indentations of shouto all over you.
first, your head. because he’s all you think about. his jokes, his smile, and the way he makes you feel.
second, your heart. he never wanted you like a best friend. half the time, he dresses up just so he can feel your hands remove the fabric from his muscles, kissing every patch of exposed skin possible.
third, in between your thighs. literally, because he’s on his knees, head between your legs and pressing his soft lips against your clit. he could carve his name onto your skin if he wanted to, and you’d probably let him.
one of your hands press against your mouth, trying to silence the urges to cry out for him. he looks so fucking gorgeous right now, his tie undone and shirt just unbuttoned enough to show off his muscles. his abs are covered in kiss marks leftover from your lipstsick- a finishing touch to an already beautiful masterpiece.
he’s tugged your panties all the way off, and pushed your dress high enough to give him access. he was salivating just thinking about getting between your legs, tasting you and letting you cum in his mouth.
you tug at his hair in fistfuls, urging to give you the orgasm you need. his eyes are closed, focusing solely on the way his tongue swirls around you. his mouth and chin glisten from all of it, and he’s doing this for his pleasure just as much as yours.
the way you moan makes him tighten his grip on your hips, ever so slightly increasing his pace. he chuckles to himself, acknowledging the effect he has on you. the vibrations of his voice and warm breath pushing against your already pulsing core sends a shiver down your spine.
“careful, love.” he whispers, only pulling away from you slightly. “wouldn’t want anyone to find us, hm?”
“i know.” you whimper. “fuck, just don’t stop.”
he happily obliges.
“good girl.” he whispers, his tongue slowly circling the bundle of nerves in a messy pattern. his tongue moves in a maddening pace, sending brain-melting waves of pleasure to you.
the ecstasy is inescapable, and you’re not even gonna try. this was your secret. those people out there, that thought they had you and your husband figured out, had no idea what was actually going on right now.
you’re his one and only, his lifeline. forever, he wants to wake up by your side. you’re the only person who makes his hand shake and heart beat despite all the pain he’s gone through.
“say my name.” he says, looking up at you.
“shouto!”
and everything just stops.
he’s lovesick, all over his face. his tongue blessedly picks up the pace, not daring to stop for even a second. you’re lovelorn and nobody knows. everyone wants him, and thats your crime. you silently cry out, head throwing back while you feel that not in your abdomen slowly begin to unwind. he guides you threw it, making you cum from nothing but his mouth.
and when you do cum, he takes it all happily. because in a world of boys, he’s a gentleman.
the two of you were all dressed up- they may as well be looking. shouto came to that party with a sleek black tie, and left without it. he only bought it for you to take it off.
