I'll basically only be checking this blog (a-dinosaur-a-day, aka ADAD) and things related to this blog when I have the time.

What is 100 Baby Warehouse?

It is exactly what it sounds like - it's a collection of sims that were the results of 100 baby challenges. In other words, this is a warehouse of sorts, and the only thing stocked here are sims. If you are looking for a spouse for your legacy, and you know exactly the kind of sims your heir likes, you may be able to find exactly what you're looking for here - if you're looking for a family-motivated male young adult, browse our selection to see if there's someone who fits your parameters. If your NSB rose gen needs some cute sims to woo, you can find those here!

Are there only "The Sims 4" sims here?

Absolutely not! You can play a 100 baby challenge in almost every sims game - I'm not sure about The Sims 1, but I know for a fact you can in 2 and 3. So, in our navigation page there will also be sections for sims strictly in TS2 and TS3.

I'm playing a 100 Baby Challenge right now. Can I submit a sim?

Yes!! Please! This blog will be EMPTY if no one submits sims, because I simply cannot play that many 100 baby challenges at once. I'm playing 2 right now, and that's hard enough.

Will you have sims for download if no one submits any?

Well, yes. But not very many, and not a good variety. There will be no TS3 or TS2 sims if no one submits any, because I don't currently have either installed. So please, if you have sims you want to share, please do!

Can I just make a post and tag you so you can reblog it, instead of submitting my sims?

That's perfectly fine too! I just have the submission page to make things easier on everyone, but if you want to make the post yourself and tag me, that works just as well. Just add @100babywarehouse anywhere on your post, and I'll see it and add it to the sim collection.

I don't play 100 baby challenge, but I want to submit a legacy spare. Is that okay?

While this is called 100 Baby Warehouse, this is also fine. I will have a specific category for legacy spares on the navigation pages, because I know that most people play legacies more than 100 baby challenges (including myself). Otherwise, this blog might be rather empty, and I don't want that! Either way, as long as the sim would normally be kicked out of the main house and forgotten, left to the whims of story progression, the sim is welcome in this collection.

If this is the 100 baby warehouse, does that mean there are only babies/infants, toddlers, and children here?

No! Definitely not! Sims of any age can be added to our "inventory." Even adults and elders. So if you want several teens for the teen angst story you are wanting to write, have a look around our teen category.

Can I download Aeli?

This is officially a "warehouse," as some may call it, but I think of it as an adoption center of sorts.

Here, you will find sims that have been forgotten, or abandoned, and left to the whims of fate (or story progression). Specifically, these sims were used strictly as stepping stones in a 100 Baby Challenge - in this challenge, the children are simply a means to an end, unless their challenge is done using the multiple matriarch rules, in which case the only child that matters is the final daughter of each matriarch.

And that's just unbearably sad to me.

All of these wonderful sims have such potential, they could have whole futures ahead of them, but they are denied that simply because that's how the challenge works. They are kicked out the instant they are no longer teenagers.

So here, we have a collection of many of these wonderful sims that Watchers in need may take in and care for, themselves. These sims can have any life they may dream of - or, well... have nightmares about.

Whatever life they end up with is up to you, the Watcher."

today is December 2, 2024.

that means this account has been here for five years.

half a decade.

WOW.

when i started this account, i was a 16-year-old high school senior needing an outlet to be weird with other weird people. my home life was incredibly stressful, but at least my dad was still alive. i was contemplating having to figure out what to do for the rest of my life, believing i might never truly be fulfilled. i hadn’t really lived yet.

now i’m 21. i’ve lived through a pandemic, graduated high school, lost my father and had to deal (or not) with the grief, moved away from everyone i’d ever known on my own, slowly started to build my own life, struggled a lot, started embracing, however hesitantly, who i am, and learned that i can in fact do what i love and be what i want to be—and what i hadn’t realized i wanted.

i’m nowhere near finished exploring.

over a thousand of you have decided to go on this journey with me, and i have no idea why you did, but i’m grateful. i love y’all dearly.

and perhaps, a bit of perspective to wrap it up: on my first day on this blog, i reblogged a photoset of maria callas as medea. today, five years to the day later, is the first day of rehearsals for a production i am in, onstage, in real life, of the euripides play.

so here’s to the next five years and all the exploration and weirdness and joy to come. and to all of you. love you. 🫶

State of the Blog Announcement

Hey guys, I wanted to give you a heads up for some changes coming to the blog in 2025.

This is not a decision I make lightly, but I will be taking a hiatus on the weekly Fresh Crops posts. I don't want to say they're done forever and going away, but for the foreseeable future I won't be doing them.

Nobody's done anything wrong, and I'm not mad or annoyed or anything like that. But to be honest for most of the last year putting together the weekly post has begun to feel more like a chore and an obligation than a chance to explore and share the wonderful fic the fandom is creating. And it's not a decision I make on a whim or in a fit of a bad mood. I've spent months examining my feelings on the matter and gauging how I feel to see if it is just a case of the doldrums, but the chore-feeling has returned more and more often.

So I'm taking a break now before it becomes full-blown resentment.

I have no intention of deleting the blog. It's not even going to go inactive. It just might be quieter.

I still plan on reblogging things and boosting fandom events. I want to try and stick to the monthly Casual Prompts that kind of fell off in the second half of this year. And of course I'll be checking the inbox for questions and to share the links you all submit. So don't stop with that!

And who knows, maybe with a little more time and brain power to give to other things I'll pull up some of the themed posts/events from the early days of the blog.

But after 3 and a half years of weekly (or close enough) posts I'm just beginning to feel a little burnt out.

So I'll finish up the posts for 2024, there will be one more regular weekly post, and then the last week or so of fics collected in the end of year post and that will be it for the time being.

If you want to find new Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons fic, you'll have to find it the old fashioned way - searching through AO3 yourself.

If you want to see your own fic or a fic you really love featured on the blog, you'll have to employ the Submission Box. It will stay open.

How did you come to the conclusion to start this blog? You’re so supportive and kind to everyone. I wished this was something I had when I was younger and figuring things out more, not to say the positivity you’re spreading isn’t helping me now. This isn’t something just anyone can do so I’m just curious

Because there wasn't anything like it that I could find!

When I was first figuring it out, it was really hard to find anything, and even harder to find anything positive➕. The forums are really only frequented by those that have 😬pretty substantial problems. Which is nobody's fault, but man it was depressing. I don't want to consider this part of myself a sentence to misery, and it hasn't been that! Well I finally (some years later) said enough is enough and decided to be the change I wanted to see in the world or whatever. And here we are!

When you say its not something just anyone can do, I suppose that's true. There may still come a day when I can't manage this for one reason or another, but so far?

Its working out well for me, and I love the community you all have built with me🥰😁. The misbehaving anons have been few and far between. It overall has been much easier for me to manage for how big its gotten than I would have thought. Part of that has to be the kind people like you 💙💖🖤
