Friends get together from various parts of the country to celebrate the Aboakyer festival, an annual festival held in May. One feature of festivals in Ghana, is that those who have moved to other parts of the country due to work, school, or other reasons take advantage of these occasions to return home briefly to reunite with friends and family. 2016 - photo © by Eric Gyamfi (https://gyamfieric.tumblr.com), from his "Just Like Us" series

Today’s Holiday May 5
Aboakyer (Deer Hunt) Festival
The Effutu people of Winneba, Ghana, celebrate the Deer-Hunting Festival by making an offering to the god Penkye Otu. Two groups known as the Asafo companies, each consisting of about 150 people, compete in a deer hunt that begins at dawn with the pounding of drums and the ringing of bells. When the first deer is caught, the victorious company brings it back alive and presents it proudly to their chief. Then the animal is taken back to the village, where dancing and drumming continue in an effort to placate Pankye Otu so that he will bring them a bountiful year.

Accra is the Capital of Ghana. The only place you can love to travel after getting there Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra the best place to stay. Accra is more like an island so in every way you have to take a Cape Coast Castle boat ride to reach Volta. After Reaching there a person came to me he was supposed to say something in Ga, there regional Language, which I couldn’t understand so a man appeared and told me in English that he wanted me to come in their Aboakyer festival, which held on every year and plus he offered Kente Cloth (a cloth made of silk and cotton) to wear it, they say that here in Accra it’s considered as a sign of royalty. After the celebration, you need to see the desert and while looking at the coast; you can call Medview Airline Flight Office and speak in chwee to book a ticket for Cape Coast Castle. Basically, I enjoyed every part and I’m sure you’ll do too, even grabbing a bite from one of the food and drink vendors or having a walk in Aburi Botanic Gardens. There you can speak to any person in Ewe (pronounced ayvay) to provide their extension code for Accra to book a ticket from Medview Airline Flights in case people coming to visit from London.
Even If the Fake US Embassy in Accra Stopped after 10 Years, still there lots of other parts of the places where you must explore with Medviews Airline Flights and Sure after coming back you’ll totally have a different perception about Accra.
