🇩🇰 Crown Princess Mary of Denmark
Wednesday, May 17, 2023
“The fight for biodiversity is waged on many levels, and today Her Royal Highness lent a helping hand all the way down to earth.
In Gested-Kasted Mose at Aarhus, WWF Verdensnaturfonden has established a new home for Denmark's smallest seed, the leaf frog, which lacks natural areas to live and breed in.
The Crown Princess took part in the planting of frogs and tail toads, and together with the mayor of Aarhus Municipality, Jacob Bundsgaard and general secretary Bo uneksnebjerg there was also time to plant a number of oak trees. Trees and bushes help create perfect conditions for the little frog, who is totally at peace in Denmark.”

Denmark Company Register - A Helpful Tool For Companies To Use
Introduction A company register is a helpful tool for any company. It’s a way to keep track of important information like the company’s name, address, and contact details. Plus, it can also contain other important documents like business plans, financial statements, and so on. If you’re running a small business or you’re just starting out, using a company register is an essential step in ensuring you have everything you need to succeed. Here are some tips on how to get started: Denmark Company Register - Benefits for Companies The Danish company register is a helpful tool for companies to use. It offers benefits such as free access to public registers, the ability to get in contact with other businesses and more. In addition, the company register can provide valuable information about a business, such as its name, registered office and shareholding structure. https://compyco.com/services/solutions-by-countries/europe/denmark/
Setting Up a Danish Company If you are starting a new business in Denmark, or if you are an existing Danish company looking to set up an office or branch in another municipality, you will need to register with the relevant government agency. There are three main agencies that deal with company registration in Denmark: Københavns Vestegnskommune (the Copenhagen Municipality), Syddansk Universitetssygehus Aarhus (Aarhus University Central Hospital) and Det Centrale Handelsregister (the Central Commercial Register). Each agency has different requirements for registering a company, so it is important to work with one of the agencies in order to ensure that your business is registered correctly and efficiently. The following guide provides information on how to register a company with each of the three agencies. Københavns Vestegnskommune requires that companies have an official name and a registered address. You can find more information about registering a company with Københavns Vestegnskommune on their website. Syddansk Universitetssygehus Aarhus requires that companies have a medical license and must also provide corporate documents, such as articles of association and by-laws, as well as copies of all contracts entered into by the company. You can find more information about registering a company with Syddansk Universitetssygehus Aarhus on their website. Det Centrale Hand Keeping Track of your Danish Company Records Keeping track of your Danish company records can be a hassle, but using a company register can make the process easier. This document contains important information about your business, such as its name, registered office and shareholder list. Whenever you make any changes to your company records, you should update the register accordingly. If you plan on expanding your business into Denmark, it’s essential to obtain a commercial register registration. This document is necessary in order to open a bank account and set up other formal dealings with the Danish government. It’s also useful if you want to bid for government contracts or take part in Danish public offerings. If you do not operate in Denmark full time, it may not be necessary to keep all of your company records in-country. You can save them on a global database or file cabinet, which will allow you to access them from any computer with internet access. Keep in mind that not all countries require companies to register with them, so be sure to check before making any moves. Conclusion As a company, it is important to have up-to-date information about who you are and where you stand. This can be easily done by registering with the Danish Companies Register. The register not only keeps track of your company details, but also provides other benefits such as free online filing and access to databases that offer valuable business insights. If you are unsure whether or not registering with the Danish Companies Register is the right decision for your business, speak to one of our experts for more advice.

URBAN PLATFORM by Kollision
The project is a small platform with three motion heads with sensors placed in the urban space. Such an installation gives you the opportunity to play games with friends, compete and meet different people, or you can simply explore light and shadows. The possibilities of light sources are only limited by the software, which can be expanded to a multitude of expressions, games, different rule-based experiences and dynamic lighting scenarios. These sensors can have many possibilities and you decide which of them you choose!
Working together with Aarhus Urban Platform, they installed the platform on Telefontorvet in the center of Aarhus, where people can already use all the features of the platform. In the evening, people can enjoy the game, and at night the sensors pleasantly illuminate the space.
In addition, Kollision designed the physical installation, and the integration on the square is carried out by the municipality of Aarhus. Moving heads are provided by SGM Light.
Own opinion:
I believe that such sensors are an incredible technology that allows many possibilities. In the evening, you can just enjoy playing with friends, or even meet someone to meet someone. These sensors could be installed in schools or places where there are many students, which would allow children, students or even teachers to play in the streets and breathe the air, instead of sitting inside the walls of educational institutions.
In the description, it was said that what the sensors will show is controlled by Kollision, but it would be much more convenient to create a panel next to it, where you can choose the mode yourself. The design looks simple and clear, sensors do not take up much space, and such platforms can be installed in many places. This project will help many, because games connect people.
OTOTO designed by Yuri Suzuki
OTOTO is a musical invention that allows anyone to quickly and easily create their own electronic musical instrument.
Design and use are simple, the object itself looks like a rectangular, with a dig amount of buttons and wires attached to it. Thanks to these wires, you can connect the device to several different objects, each of which sounds differently. Thanks to this, you can make sounds from water, a knife or an orange, in general, from anything you want to hear.
Own opinion:
I find this project very interesting, objectively, it will not change the world or make a great contribution to the history of mankind, but the design and the idea are very exciting, because creating music with any subject gives more opportunities in the world of music and allows you to expand your creativity. I believe such things will help people develop their musical ear and creativity, but not more than that.
The ARTMYN scanner
This device allows you to scan pictures, which can then be opened on any gadget and look at the picture in detail, it scans not only the paint layer, but also conveys the texture of the picture and canvas, allows people to look at works of art in 3D visualization with maximum accuracy. The scanner doesn’t damage the picture itself, and the procedure does not take much time.
A process is created in three stages. The first one is scanning, the scanner moves across the entire picture, additional LEDs illuminate the picture from all sides. Stage Two : Servers use proprietary advanced algorithms to extract detailed artwork characteristics and transform hundreds of gigabytes of captured images into a compact 5D dataset consisting of millions of files optimized for fast streaming directly to any browser. Step Three: Explore any painting in the app and look at the painting in detail.
Own opinion:
Years pass, many paintings not over time or the paint fades, many old paintings can be lost due to time beyond our control, but thanks to this device we can preserve art, our history forever. It's never possible to guess what might happen, fire, water or works of art might just steal, but this is how we can preserve history in technology. Also, everyone can look at the paintings more carefully, trace the strokes and materials.

Vridsløselille Masterplan, Copenhagen
Vridsløselille Masterplan, Danish Architecture Project, Albertslund Buildings, Urban Development
Vridsløselille Masterplan near Copenhagen
2 Dec 2020
Vridsløselille Masterplan
Design: Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architect
Location: Vridsløselille, Albertslund, Denmark
Two schemes recommended to form a combined vision for the future development of Vridsløselille prison site
The development plan for ‘Vridsløselille’ will re-imagine the site in Albertslund, close to Copenhagen, which once housed a state prison by turning its rich historic structure and surroundings into an attractive, green district with a distinct identity derived by its unique heritage.
Danish architectural firm Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects and landscape architects BOGL aim to design a new district which will attract new residents and activity to the city of Albertslund. Driving west of the city, just 15 kilometers from central Copenhagen, a site with a former correctional facility and a stretch of other historical buildings along the area emerge. The site has for many years been a closed enclave, and the aim is, therefore, to open up the area towards the city.
Vridsløselille, a 160,000-square-metre district, will become a natural extension of Albertslund and its main thoroughfares. The flexible scheme will draw city life to the area where green parks and residential complexes are intertwined creating a strong synergy while making way for a variety of building typologies, urban qualities and common facilities. The new urban area will create new connections and destinations in Albertslund, focused on creating activated green spaces, urban farming as well as movement and sports facilities. Important connections, sightlines, and local identity will be maintained and enhanced. The main focus is laying the foundation for a healthy and social lifestyle with a broad spectrum of common areas and green spaces.
Morten Løgsted, Project Development Manager at A. Enggaard A/S, says: “It has been an exciting process to follow the five selected teams and their approach to the site. The diversity and depth of the initial project proposals are quite spectacular. The two projects, recommended by the jury, clearly shares a common vision for the site and at the same time holds individual strengths. The next step will be to merge those proposals and integrate their distinct qualities into a combined masterplan for the area.”
Making the historic, star-shaped building the beating heart of the development Our design includes five different districts with their own identity and direct access to nature – Skovbyen, the Northern district characterized by urban villas among two forest clusters; Bevægelsesbyen, the Western district with terraced, multi-storey houses with semi-public squares and intimate urban spaces; Grobyen, the largest and most populated South-Western district containing residential units up to 7 floors where community and interaction play a central role; Portbyen, the Southern district along the railway housing up to 10-storey buildings; and Havebyen, the Eastern district characterized by more intimate Renaissance gardens.
Inspired by the unique relic of the past, the iconic star-shaped prison building is surrounded by trees which once stood as a security fence. The proposal focuses on opening the area and drawing new connections through the “Loop”, a new main pathway surrounding the site and tying the different districts together with the existing prison structure.
“Our vision for Vridsløselille is to create a new neighborhood with a green heart for all citizens, an area that strengthens the social, climatic and landscape cohesive force in Albertslund,” said Kristian Ahlmark, Partner and Design Director at Schmidt Hammer Lassen. “We will preserve as much as possible of the existing prison building and integrate some of the complex’s secondary buildings to enhance original qualities. Some old wings will be teared down but will be rebuild with a deep respect for the original geometry, marking the existing star-shaped complex as the star of the show. In this way, we aim to encourage participation and sharing through converting some of the structures into common places for everyone to enjoy.”
Jens Linnet, Design Lead Landscape and Creative Director at BOGL, says: “Vridsløselille is a unique place, forming its own ‘universe’ in a modernistic city. It has been incredibly exciting to transform the area by creating a characteristic identity that also reaches out to the rest of Albertslund. We have used the history, walls, and old gardens of the existing site to create a new meeting place for the whole city.”
Ahead are several years of close cooperation with Freja Ejendomme and The Municipality of Albertslund until local plans are approved. Architectural studio COBE is the other team selected for Vridsløselille’s redevelopment. For more information (in Danish), visit Freja Ejendomme.
Schmidt Hammer Lassen has a variety of ongoing masterplan projects in Denmark and abroad including Sydhavnskvarteret, a masterplan for the South Harbour District in Aarhus, Denmark, and Molobyen, a flexible development in Bodø, Norway.

SAIL 2018 - AARHUS INTERNATIONAL SAILING CENTER - 2018
24 febbraio 2018 - International Sailing Center has obtained the absolute finest location in the city, that is at the tip of the newest district, Aarhus Ø. Situated at the promenade with a view of Aarhus Bay, Aarhus Ø is in the middle of Aarhus and is one of the recreational parts of the city with thousands of inhabitants. It is a spot that many would have sacrificed a limb to be able to claim. Now, instead, they can rejoice that the sailing center will strengthen the local area profoundly. Both as a striking construction and a tourist magnet. The building is both robust and flexible and can bear to ‘age with grace’. It represents a timelessness and possesses a strong architectural identity. The placement at the tip of the pier puts a perfect finish to Aarhus’ new, blue rambla. All the city’s water based unions are now placed in a long line and ends with Dokk1, which is the new cultural center of the city. The objective is to make it possible for sailors to sail all the way into the harbor by Dokk1 and to connect it with Brabrand lake, which is a very popular place for rowers. Collaboration and strong teamwork have created Aarhus International Sailing Center. Volunteers and enthusiasts are particularly important for the work on the sailing center, and as politicians we must offer our support when they present their ideas, enthusiasm and suggestions. The sailing clubs and Sailing Aarhus have collectively fought for the establishing of an international sailing center. We will not be taking anything from the local sailing clubs, neither from the local training milieu. The sailing center will only support the communities and it offers facilities of a high international standard. The elite and the public needs to go hand in hand like Yin and Yang. The sailing center need to support the good life on the water, both through sailing clubs and the local schools, which are already in collaboration with the municipal UNO open air center. The sailing center must give the young an opportunity to play by the sea, whether that means fishing for crabs or going sailing, so from the very beginning Aarhus International Sailing Center have had tremendous support. In 2018 the Aarhus International Sailing Center and Aarhus Ø be the venue for the Hempel Sailing World Championships 2018, which is the world championships for all the Olympic boat classes.

APPLY: Visuality, Culture, Method: MoodBoard, PhD workshop on the West Coast of Denmark 18 - 22 June, 2018
We are now accepting applications for the Visuality, Culture, Methods PhD and early-career workshop.
APPLY BY FEBRUARY 20 BY FILLING OUT THE FORM HERE. Selected participants will be informed by March 10.
We will spend a week on site at the Danish West Coast (Ringkøbing-Skern municipality) exploring and experimenting with a variety of methods for understanding visuality and culture. These methods include ethnographic construction and analysis of visual materials; finding, gathering and analyzing pre-existing visual material; studying visual industry’s interpretations, genres and visual tropes; design of moodboard as a speculative, future oriented method for making sense of, analyzing and visualizing culture.
The summer school will include:
- instructional talks by world renowned experts in the field of visual and cultural analysis (Prof. Annette Markham; Prof. Gillian Rose, Anne-Marit Waade, PhD; Kat Tiidenberg, Phd);
- practical, hands-on experimentation with different methods;
- collaborating with the municipality on creation of the moodboard;
- reflection on moodboarding as a method for understanding visuality, culture and visual culture.
Outcomes of all of these experiments will be incorporated into a moodboard for coastal new Nordic Noir (think ‘Girl with a Dragon Tattoo’ for a general understanding of Nordic Noir).
