So I go on this website called Interpals to talk to people from foreign countries and get foreign language help. 

Most of the people on there are scum, but I figured this guy started the conversation nice enough. He wasn’t in a place where I was currently learning a language (Italy, as I initially believed), but I figured why not? If anything, I’d get some Italian help on a few basic phrases. 

Well, turns out, he’s not from Italy. He was from Turkey, and his friends told him to make a profile saying he was from Italy, because girls usually block people from Turkey. That should have been my first red flag. Why wouldn’t it have been? 

Well, I figured it’s not right for people to be stereotyped based on where they’re from, and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. So I replied, and basically that was a mistake.

We had a pretty normal conversation until the conversation started to turn weird as you see above. 

I kept asking him what he meant, when he kept mentioning this plan. And then this happened.

I immediately blocked him AND reported him. But needless to say I’m thoroughly freaked out. I’ve also banned users from Turkey, because no I’m paranoid and won’t make that mistake again. Even though his profile says from Italy, I’m not taking any chances on anyone that I haven’t already started a conversation with about some foreign language. 

But I just want to warn anyone if they use Interpals and this guy contacts you. 

Beware, he’s not a good guy. And block him immediately.

(His name’s also not Antonio. I was an idiot for not realizing this guy was no good sooner.)
