With Dionysus, we didn’t want to create a combat-oriented unit, but rather a control oriented unit that represented opulence and chaos.

Let’s start by looking at the power Orgiastic Procession which aims to simulate the arrival of Dionysus, accompanied by one of his procession. This power gives the player several troops who, themselves, have many activation cards. The goal is to support the notion of opulence, which is emphasized by the number of art of war cards that brings Dionysus, as well as a high number of life points.

The satyr children also help Dionysus controlling the map because they all possess the block talent. However, we don’t imagine that it is by physical might they manage to block off their enemies; it is because the units in their areas are too busy drinking their wine and feasting.

The power of the satyr children makes it clear that Dionysus is not here to kill the opponents by fighting, but on the contrary, for them to lose themselves in the chaotic bliss of merriment. This power greatly disrupts an opponent’s position and, in effect, offers significant control on the map to Dionysus.

If the satyr children can neither attack nor collect gems, we imagine it is because they are busy serving wine to all the units in their area. This is represented by their block talent, as we have seen above, but also by the Bolster talent of the troops and the intoxicating power of Dionysus. This power, meanwhile, can generate chaos in the opponent’s cards by forcing him to discard cards from his deck.

Clearly, Dionysus can be a technical unit to play, due to his low mobility which requires careful placement on the map. Despite this, he is ubiquitous on the field and has the capability to disrupt the opponent’s strategy. This, combined with the fact that he can send satyr children to bring him Omphalos (simulated by the talent gem collector), allows one to achieve victory by attaining Omphalos.

like half the problem with llm generated text is you cant really ever detect it was made by an llm or with an llm unless you literally see it being done in front of you. all those detectors are fake and gay. so writing essays or papers to Prove you learnt something is more or less obsolete unless you force someone to write something directly in your presence. but 100% in person education is also obsolete which creates some logistical problems. do you make students show up for written live tests that are perfectly proctored? understand in most academic settings most evaluations are proxys to prove competence in a skill and not necessarily the real deal. also in the real deal "cheating" (ie, using chatgpt, or a textbook, or a cheatsheet, or working with someone else) is often normal and even necessary. plagiarism is bad in academic settings because it impedes and discourages original research + collaboration but in the avg workplace you can often just copy and steal (as in, build something that does the same thing as something else, as long as you dont use stuff protected by copyright or patents but tbh then the only real barrier is having good enough lawyers or being in a country where they have no reach to rly do anything about it) parts of other peoples stuff, if not outright everything. and the other half is if used decently i think llms can genuinely help make learning a little easier for a significant group of people. just like the internet in general made it easier without turning everyone who came into contact with it into an instant genius. in the end intent and discipline are the two things that matter the most in learning and education like in basically everything else. but since the avg person doesnt get an education bc They Love Learning but bc its the best route to getting a decent job. theyre kind of secondary at best for the avg student and teacher

I know this is supposed to be a queer blog, but I'm having a bit of an existential crisis relating to mental health and wanted to know if you have any advice or know where I can get advice?

So recently, I've been having a little "hey, I might be somewhere on the plurality spectrum that isn't singlet" realization, for a whole host of reasons I'm not gonna get into right now.

But I took a test that calculates your dissociation levels on a scale from 0 to 100. And on there they had a chart, listing the average levels for different disorders (so avg. adult population (5.4), anxiety (7), schizophrenia (15.4), ptsd (31), did (48), etc) and well,

I got a 47.86

I knew going in that this was not going to be 100% accurate, especially because I'm a teen and the one designed for adolescents the web page seems to have vanished, but still. I knew I was minorly dissociating almost all the time but that's a lot.

Sooo.... if you have advice for me or know of anywhere I can get advice, that would be much appreciated bc I am in a state of AH right now and it's not fun

my best advice, given i am not a medical or mental health professional, is to contact one. i know it can be really scary and you may face barriers depending on where you live, you age etc. but in most places, you can seek free mental health care that would certainly give you some piece of mind and provide you with an appropriate support plan.

while the internet is not a perfect diagnostic criteria, you know yourself best and if you have suspicions something is not typical, you should certainly seek the right support and guidance for that.

i recommend doing a search for services in your area.

i am so proud of you and your courage in trying to seek clarity and support and am always here if there’s anything i can do! mental health is so important and you are amazing for being proactive about it.
