Chapter 14
______
“Why do you want to help us? I mean, you did give my boyfriend to Evil Colonel Sanders. Why are you so desperate to get involved in the fight?”
Loki shrugged, giving you an innocent smile.
“Maybe the fact that I like to live? Even I know that if that other Michael isn’t stopped shit is going to get worse for all of us. Yes, that means you too, princess.”
You scowled at Loki. As much as you wanted to deck the creep in the face, you decided not to.
“Do me a solid, Loki. Never call me any pet names if you want to live. I can bet you money that Gabriel will not be the least bit happy to see you. If you could not antagonize him, that would be most appreciated.”
Loki scoffed.
“Why am I worried about one archangel?”
You held up the hand that held your engagement ring. Loki’s eyes widened seeing the canary diamond ring.
“Maybe the fact that Gabriel is extremely protective of me…and I think you know what I mean. He also has all of his strength back so he can smite you with a grin on his face. There is also the fact that I have our universe Michael on my side too. He has some strange appreciation of me now. Two archangels against one demigod don’t seem like a fair fight. You can take your pick.”
Loki blinked a few times.
“So, did you say that your name is Y/n?”
You nodded, it was your turn to smirk. The snarky little smile was wiped right off of Loki’s face and you loved it.
“Yes, that is my name. If I wanted to be a total ass, I could make you call me ma’am but I’m not that cruel.”
Loki looked as if he was suddenly regretting his life choices. If he split, you wouldn’t have been entirely shocked. He was quiet a moment before sighing.
“Y/n it is.”
You nodded before motioning back toward the hotel where Michael was waiting.
“Alright. Now that we both understand each other.”
You turned and started in the direction of your hotel. Loki waited a moment before chasing after you. You knew that he was behind you whining about not wanting to deal with archangels. Something told you that both Gabriel and Michael really wouldn’t want to deal with him either…so the feeling was mutual.
Time will have to tell on that one.
You thought as the two of you stepped into the room. Michael still sat on the bed fact-checking his bible documentary. He didn’t look up when you stepped in. You shook your head before turning to Loki who was giving Michael a frown. It was obvious that the demigod was questioning if this was really one of heaven’s most terrifying weapons.
“This is Michael…every house should have one.”
You murmured before going to the TV and turning it off. Michael jumped up, looking totally offended. He still had no idea that you had even been out of the room.
“I was watching that, human!”
You rolled your eyes.
“My name is Y/n, While you have been a fact checker, I found us another helper. Michael this is Loki.”
Michael turned around and looked at Loki as if he were surveying a bug. He knew exactly who this being was and Michael wanted to rip Loki limb from limb.
“So this is the…thing that sold my brother to a prince of hell?”
“Yeah, that would be him.”
You replied, reluctantly. Michael narrowed his eyes and for a moment, you wondered if Loki was going to explode. Nervously, you put a hand on Michael’s arm.
“Michael, can I talk to you over here?”
Michael didn’t take his sneering face off Loki as he followed you to the other side of the room. You reached out and turned Michael to look at you.
“Look, Michael, I don’t like this any more than you do but if we are going to go up against alternate you…we need all of the help that we can get. I don’t like Loki in the slightest. Honestly, I want to stab the man but he’s another body in our fight.”
Loki, meanwhile, raised an eyebrow.
“I feel so welcome.”
You chose to ignore his snide comment and kept your gaze locked on the archangel in front of you. Michael finally relented.
“Very well. I trust your judgment…even though you are wearing black boots.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“What is wrong with my boots?”
Michael pointed to your feet.
“You aren’t supposed to wear black before the American Labor Day holiday.”
Michael smirked when you rolled your eyes at him.
“Michael, no one listens to that, and forget my boots. I’m going to call Sam to let him know where we are. I’m going to need to butter Gabriel up really well. He is going to freak out when he sees this joker.”
Michael made a “hmm” sound before going to sit down on the bed as you took out your phone and texted Sam your address.
(meanwhile)
Sam was pacing around the living room. He was a nervous wreck! The day had been going from bad to worse. Not only was he mentally dealing with Dean saying yes to Michael but now he was worried about you. From your safety to Gabriel potentially ending the relationship and Sam being the one that would have to deal with the fallout…he was mentally done.
“I’m not going to break up with her.”
Gabriel grumbled from his place on the couch. Sam stopped walking.
“I sure as hell hope not. Y/n doesn’t need your crap, Gabriel. You asked her to marry you and you can’t run now.”
Gabriel crossed his arms over his chest and glared at the ground in front of him. He wasn’t going to run. Gabriel couldn’t even justify why he even opened his mouth about potentially leaving you. It never would have happened. If he had, Gabriel would be back begging you for forgiveness within days. He knew that he wouldn’t be able to stay away.
You really were like “Angel Kryptonite.” Gabriel would never be able to tell you no or stay away even if he wanted to. You were the one weakness that he had. All it took was one little look from you and Gabriel was a mess.
Sam freezing and pulling his phone out made Gabriel look up.
“I found her!”
Gabriel and Cas both jumped up as well.
“Where?”
Gabriel asked. Sam held out his phone. He didn’t have the will to consider fighting Gabriel on getting to you. Sam knew that Gabriel would just punch him aside in order to get to you.
“Good enough. Hang on.”
Meanwhile,
You stood looking between Michael and Loki. Neither had said a word since coming to a joint agreement to “put up” with each other in order to achieve the greater good. Shaking your head, you silently wished that you were able to get your bottle of booze. It was going to take a lot of alcohol to deal with these two.
“Minibar!”
You said with a smile. At the moment, you didn’t care to pay a few dollars for a can of soda. Glancing over your shoulder, you met Michael’s gaze.
“I’m going to get some ice.”
Michael nodded curtly.
“I’ll keep an eye on him.”
You shook your head for the millionth time that night and stepped out of the room. As soon as the door was closed a pair of arms went around your waist and you were slammed into a hard body. Coughing, you looked up to see Gabriel wrapped around you.
“Gabriel!”
You barely squeaked his name out before he started kissing you. He was clearly as thrilled to see you as you were him. After not leaving each other on good terms, knowing the other was alive and well meant everything. Neither of you cared that Cas and Sam were watching awkwardly.
Neither Gabriel nor yourself was in the mood to let the other go. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders while Gabriel wrapped one arm around your waist to keep your body against his. Twirling your fingers in Gabriel’s curls, you sighed against his mouth.
Gabriel was the first to break the kiss. He looked down at you with a clearly happy smile.
“Sugar, what were you thinking? I have been so worried.”
You quickly kissed him again, hoping to avoid any arguments that Gabriel could make.
“I’m sorry. I just can’t risk losing Dean to Michael. None of this was to hurt you.”
You suddenly remembered that Loki was sitting on the opposite side of the wall. Wincing, you couldn’t help but wonder if this hotel had decent insurance. Something told you that they were going to need it.
“Gabriel, before we go in there, I want to warn you that we have someone on our side that you aren’t going to like. I need you to trust me, okay.”
Gabriel raised an eyebrow as you opened the door.
“Sugar, nothing could bother me now that I am with you…oh my dad is that Loki?”
You sighed and quickly followed Gabriel in. Loki stood up with a smirk on his face.
“Gabriel, I’ve met your little princess. She’s cute.”
You gave Loki a “go to hell” look as Gabriel’s eyes started to glow bright gold. Shoving yourself between the two, you threw your arms around Gabriel’s shoulders hoping to break his concentration.
“Gabriel, stop. Please. There are a lot of innocent people in this hotel that doesn’t deserve to die. Please, I’m with you. I love you.”
Gabriel’s eyes calmed as he wrapped an arm around you possessively. He gave Loki a look that clearly said, “Try me, bitch.”
“What nothing to say?”
Loki questioned. Gabriel turned suddenly and threw Loki into the wall with a flick of his wrist. Michael was on his feet and ready to attack without even being asked. You stood blinking a few times as Sam and Cas moved out of the way. Neither clearly wanted to tangle with either angel.
You reached out for Gabriel again but he wiggled away and was going after Loki.
“SHUT IT!”
You snapped. Michael, Loki, and Gabriel all froze and turned to look at you.
“Stop fighting. If we are going to be fighting then we will never be able to take down Michael.”
“You all should listen to Gabriel’s little Ms. Pretty.”
Everyone turned around to see Lucifer sitting at the table with a shit-eating grin on his face. Your mouth dropped as Sam scowled. This was the last thing that you expected.
“Lucifer.”
Michael said calmly. Lucifer grinned.
“It's so good to see you all. I’m glad I got your message, Mikey. It warms my heart to see everyone that I hate in the same room.”
Gabriel moved back to his place beside you. He protectively wrapped his arms around your waist holding you again close to him. Lucifer stood up.
“You two are breaking my heart. Is that a diamond on a certain little finger, Y/n? What have you done to my brother?”
You scowled at Lucifer. Deep down you wouldn’t be too upset if he exploded. Your hatred of Loki and Lucifer rivaled each other. One moment you hated one and the next you hated the other.
“Don’t talk to her.”
Gabriel snapped. Lucifer raised an eyebrow. He considered making a “must be some good pussy” comment but decided not to. Something on his younger brother’s face told him that Gabriel wasn’t up to play.
You, meanwhile, looked around the beyond tense atmosphere of the room. You stepped away from Gabriel and looked at all of the faces in the room. Michael was still scowling at Loki. Gabriel was glaring at Loki then turning to glare at Lucifer. Lucifer, meanwhile, was grinning like a damned fool.
“It's safe to say that no one likes being in this room but it's for good reason. If we don’t do something about the other Michael…we may not be here much longer. He also has my brother and I can not accept that. If the lot of you can’t get along for Dean’s sake then do it to save your own skin. In the mean time, we have to find some way to get along. Let's get through this next little bit then we can all get back to killing each other.”
You watched with a satisfied sigh as everyone appeared to nod reluctantly. Michael put Loki down while Lucifer moved to sit down in front of the TV. Gabriel came back to you, looking apologetic.
“Sorry, sugar plum.”
You reached out to cup his cheek.
“Want to come outside with me?”
You asked. Gabriel was totally relived to have any excuse to get out of the room and have some alone time with you.
“Gladly, those pretty lips need some attention…”

I'm too lazy to format, so if you want proper formatting on this, I've posted it on Ao3! This is a continuation from the last art trade I did with @pixlokita about their Werebunny Jeremy AU (we've decided to call it Cut Right Through Me)
Below the cut is the link to the story on Ao3, and the full part that I just completed! Fair warning, this is a pretty decent length, roughly 9k words. Enjoy!
“You’re mean, you know that?” Jeremy said irritably as he dropped into the passenger seat.
“I don’t care. He’s dangerous, Jeremy.”
“Dangerous, yet you apparently have been calling him,” Jeremy muttered, slouching in the chair.
“To find you! Speaking of, where were you this week?”
“Around.”
“Not home.” Ramona shot him a glare as she backed out of the driveway. “Which by the way, I went to your house. It’s an absolute mess. And you know how to get bloodstains out of things-“
“I was going to get to it.” Don’t mention Percy, please don’t remind me. Jeremy wished he was back in Michael’s house, still being interrogated for being there. It was much better than the absolute grilling he was getting from his sister.
“You’re lucky I helped clean up,” Ramona sniffed. “And you owe me for Percy’s vet bills, by the way. I know you’re a disaster on a regular basis, but whatever crisis you had will not get you out of your responsibilities mister.”
“Vet bills?” Jeremy echoed, flinching slightly when she mentioned Percy.
“Yeah, I had to take Percy to the vet. Some animal must’ve broken into your house after you ran off or something because he was hiding in your room scared out of his wits and covered in dried blood. He’ll be fine, but honestly. What could’ve been so important that you ran off and left Percy to fend for himself?”
“I didn’t know Percy survived,” Jeremy answered quietly.
“Well, you should’ve checked,” Ramona replied grimly. “He’s only still alive because I went to find you.”
“Yeah…” Jeremy pulled his shirt up over his head to bury the way his eyes were swimming. Everything was just too much for him right now. “Can you just- Can we go back to your house? I don’t think I can go home right now.”
“That’s where we’re headed,” Ramona answered gently. “I’m sorry to yell at you, Jer. I really am. I was just worried.”
“I know…” Jeremy rubbed his face into the soft fabric of the shirt. He wished he could’ve had a chance to apologize or make some kind of effort to befriend Michael before they’d abruptly left. “If it helps, I hardly remember anything from the last few days.”
“I noticed.” Ramona’s hands gripped the steering wheel tightly. “Hey, maybe we could go visit Becky for a bit. I know it’s been a while since I’ve seen her. I’m guessing you haven’t seen her lately either.”
“I can’t,” Jeremy said softly. He didn’t know when he’d transform again, and he couldn’t bear to have it happen around his family, not when he knew that Becky would dig straight for the cause of it, probably making him have to go through it longer than he wanted anyway. He wanted to have something for his friend to work with when he shared the problem.
Or maybe he wanted to handle something himself for once.
“Jer, are you sure? Not to push you or anything, but I’m probably going to head there at the end of the week. I was already planning the trip before you vanished, and now that you’re back-“
“I wouldn’t want to stop you from going,” Jeremy interrupted firmly. “I need to finish up some loose ends around here before I’d go. But if you could take Percy with you, I’d appreciate it.”
Maybe it would be best to just disappear. To be hunted and killed like the monster he was while Ramona was out of town. While she was safe.
“If you’re sure,” Ramona said, sounding hesitant still. “I’ll take Percy with me. I’m sure Becky misses him as much as he probably misses her.”
“Well, he is the son of her old dog. I’d be surprised if she didn’t miss him,” Jeremy answered, finally peeking out of his shirt.
“You’re such a big baby sometimes, Jeremy,” Ramona said softly, shaking his shoulder. “We’ll get you sorted out. Maybe find you a man to help you relieve your stress. You certainly need that-“
“Stop, stop. We’re not having this conversation-“
“If you just tried to have a relationship-“
“I thought you were all about not having a man to rely on for everything,” Jeremy countered.
“Well, I have different biases.”
“You only agreed because Becky said it first,” Jeremy accused, elbowing his sister.
“Hey, no assaulting the driver. Besides, I never said you have to rely on him for everything. Just… some things.”
“I’m less shallow than you,” Jeremy replied, huffing as he returned his gaze to the window.
“Oh, I doubt that. I saw the way you were eying up Michael. You wanted him,” Ramona teased.
“Oh, come on, I’m allowed to think a guy is hot, Mona! And he’s-“
“Just your type. Except I don’t think his personality is right for you. He’s too bitter, too grouchy. Not good enough for my little ball of sunshine.”
“I have four inches on you,” Jeremy argued.
“Not where it counts,” Ramona hummed in reply. “But seriously. I’m going to emphasize this, so pay attention. Don’t you dare go pining after Michael Afton.”
Jeremy rolled his eyes. “I think you already burned that bridge too badly to rebuild.”
“Good. But if there’s still a silver of doubt in your mind, I’m going to update you on everything once we get home. That man has a bloody history.”
“So you’re calling him some kind of monster?” Jeremy scoffed. “Come on, he called you right away when he found me, didn’t he?”
“How do we know it was right away? Maybe he drugs people for kicks and-“
“Just because I don’t remember the last few days does not mean I don’t remember last night. And nothing happened! We didn’t have sex, I promise you.”
“Mhm,” Ramona sounded unconvinced. “If you say so.”
“I’m never going to get you to believe me on any of this stuff, am I?” Jeremy groaned hiding his face as it burned. He shouldn’t be thinking of Michael in that context, especially now. “You’re so mean to me.”
“I love you too, Jeremy.”
Jeremy went to take a nap when he got to his sister’s apartment, crashing immediately on the couch. He needed to fix his sleep for work later that night anyway.
Ramona dragged him away from his nap to give him a bunch of information about the background of Fazbear Entertainment, and the whole reason she was suspicious of Michael. Clearly, she wasn’t done with their earlier conversation. She really doesn’t believe that I’ll leave it alone, Jeremy thought to himself as she dropped a bunch of newspaper clippings into his lap.
“He killed his little brother, Jeremy.”
“Allegedly.” Jeremy’s eyebrows furrowed as he skimmed the newspaper.
“And his father killed a bunch of kids back in 1985. At the same location you’ve been working at.”
“They never proved that,” Jeremy argued. He shoved the paper away, avoiding looking at the image of Evan Afton. The kid gave him an uneasy feeling.
“You can’t deny the evidence. Just because they weren’t convicted of murder doesn’t mean they didn’t kill anyone.”
That’s exactly what that’s supposed to mean, actually. Jeremy’s mouth thinned. He gave the newspapers back to his sister. “Okay, fine. Whatever.”
“Jeremy-“
“Can I please just take a nap in peace?” Jeremy begged. “I don’t need this extra stuff.”
Jeremy was glad to be able to get away again later that day. He knew his sleep was skewed, and he’d probably be exhausted for work, but he didn’t care. That was one thing he could rely on to be consistent. They’d be fine so long as he clocked in on time and clocked out. And if the animatronics caught him off guard, so be it.
He’d missed enough shifts already, and even without his uniform, he’d be fine going into work. Who was going to see him anyway?
He clocked in early, fiddling with his flashlight as he started his patrol. It was considered dumb to do things like this, he knew, but he hadn’t had any issues with walking around during his shift yet. And even if he did, he doubted the animatronics could do much to him anyway, now that he remembered the incident with Toy Bonnie.
The only real question was whether or not that golden bear would come back to kick him out again, but since Jeremy had never seen the bear before that time, he guessed it was a very rare occurrence thing that only happened if an animatronic was hurt or damaged. Then why wouldn’t it be protecting Mangle?
Shaking the weird thought out of his head, Jeremy stepped into Parts and Service, hoping he’d see the glint of his keys somewhere on the floor. Fritz usually forgot to lock up, and Jeremy had taken up the habit of locking up behind him. Since he’d lost his keys the last time he’d been in for a shift, he figured they’d be around somewhere.
He found himself out of luck. Sighing, Jeremy checked that all the old animatronics were still on the floor. Bonnie was still around, and with a twinge of guilt, Jeremy spotted Toy Bonnie’s mangled remains tucked between Bonnie’s torso and his arm. Best not to think too hard about that, Jeremy told himself, turning the beam to the rest of the room.
The faintest rustling noise had Jeremy immediately back on his guard. He turned to see a locker door falling open, revealing a golden suit. His grip on his flashlight tightened as he stared at the golden rabbit costume. It didn’t seem to move much more.
Maybe it was something they used during the day shifts? They were short a Bonnie after all. Still, a golden variation seemed odd as it was on the complete opposite end of the color spectrum from the other two Bonnie models Jeremy had seen.
He was almost tempted to look closer it at, but he knew better than to mess with the animatronics. Especially after his run-in with Toy Bonnie. He did not want to stir up the crazy bear thing again, no thank you.
Shaking his head, Jeremy turned back toward the door. Then he hesitated. The red light on the security camera was blinking at him. Who was in the security office?
Deciding to forget the rest of his early patrol for now, Jeremy made his way back to the office to see a very grumpy Michael shining a flashlight down the hall at him, a small boy also looking at him from a perch on top of the desk.
“Uh… hi?” That’s not Scott, Jeremy’s mind supplied. The realization hit him a moment later as he recognized the boy from Ramona’s newspaper clippings. Evan Afton.
His eyes seemed almost hypnotizing as he glared at Jeremy. “Huh. So you did survive then. Fancy that.”
“I… thanks?” Jeremy finished making his way into the office, weary of the kid on the desk. “Do I know you?”
Evan snorted. “Don’t be stupid. No.”
“Oh. Okay?”
Michael made an impatient noise. “Jeremy, don’t just stand in the doorway like a lost animatronic. Sit down if you’re going to bother me.”
“Right. Sorry.” Jeremy hurriedly went to sit down in the rusty folding chair next to Michael. “How did you know I’d be here?”
“I didn’t. That chair has just been here every shift I’ve worked,” Michael answered, checking through the cameras. “I can’t believe you’re insane enough to do that though.”
“Do what?”
“Go into Parts and Service. Cassidy doesn’t like it when people come in there,” Evan supplied. “Nobody’s supposed to go in there at night.”
“It’s part of my patrol,” Jeremy said defensively.
“You’re insane for doing a patrol in the first place!” Michael exclaimed. “I thought you’d broken in or something, and I was going to handle it, but Evan said that’s Cassidy’s job. Which, you had to be testing her patience with how long you stuck around in there.”
“I feel like I should be worried.”
“You should be.” Evan assessed him as Michael went back to focusing on the cameras. “I thought the rabbit thing killed you, you know.”
“Should I know what you’re talking about?” Jeremy asked, uncomfortable as the ghost boy studied him. He made Jeremy exceedingly uneasy, and he couldn’t describe why.
A helpful thought decided to interject for a moment, thankfully making him feel a little bit safer. Michael couldn’t have killed his brother. Otherwise, why would they be working together like this?
“Yeah.” Evan tossed a crumpled hat into Jeremy’s lap. “This is yours, right?”
Startled, Jeremy scrambled to catch it, seeing the black stains spotting the rim and front of his hat. Because it was his hat, the one he’d been wearing the last time he transformed. Battered and covered in black oil and whatever that other fluid was, his hat was mostly still intact.
“Where did you get this?” Jeremy asked, smoothing it out to shove it back over his head.
Amused, Evan let out another scoff. “Do you even have a brain? I lost half mine, and I can still connect the dots.”
“His sister is much quicker than he is, that’s for sure,” Michael replied before Jeremy could sputter out a reply.
“You guys are mean.” Jeremy crossed his arms with a pout.
“If you’re going to be here, you can check the hallway and the left vent.” Michael tapped his flashlight, ignoring his words.
“Right, yeah okay.” Jeremy shone the beam of his flashlight down the hallway. “So, what? You’ve just been in the pizzeria the entire time?”
“Yeeep,” Evan answered, leaning across the desk to change the camera and wind the music box. “Most don’t usually live to see the sunrise after they’ve seen me though.”
“Lucky them,” Michael muttered, pulling the camera monitor out of his brother’s reach. “You’re insufferable.”
“And you’re a big grouch,” Evan retorted. He peered into the left vent. “Eugh, that stupid balloon kid is here. Scram!” His shout made whatever was in the vent squeal and scramble away.
Jeremy blinked. “So the animatronics are just scared of you?”
“Not all of them.” Evan answered with a meaningful look at the camera. “Just the insignificant ones.”
“Which translates to, all of them except the Puppet,” Michael added.
“I don’t scare Cassidy.”
“Cassidy’s not an animatronic, Evan.”
“I suppose that’s true.” Evan sighed. “She hates me.”
“I still doubt that.” Michael clicked to the Parts and Service camera, frowning. “You didn’t touch anything while you were back there, did you?”
“Not a thing. I was hoping to find my keys, but-“ Jeremy yelped as Evan tossed a set of keys at him. His flashlight crashed to the ground as he scrambled to catch them before they hit him. “Oh. Thanks, I guess?”
“You’re welcome.” Evan peered at the camera his brother was looking at. “You’re sure you didn’t touch anything?”
“I didn’t!” Jeremy protested, even as both brothers looked at him suspiciously. “I was tempted to touch the yellow rabbit guy when he fell out of that locker, but I didn’t, I promise.”
“Yellow rabbit?” Evan’s eyebrows scrunched. “I’ll be right back.”
Michael seemed worried too, his own mouth tightening into a thin line.
“What’s the deal with the… yellow rabbit?” Jeremy ventured to ask.
“Don’t worry about it I’m guessing you must not have seen him the night he was in here. Were you attacked by Toy Bonnie or something?”
“Uh, yeah.” Jeremy chuckled nervously, his spine prickling as he realized that they were probably talking about him. “But I can’t say I’ve seen any yellow rabbits before today.”
“Weird. Evan said he and Cassidy scared it off the last time.” Michael frowned deeper. “It crammed itself into a locker?”
“Well, I don’t know about that. But it was in a locker. I thought it was an animatronic though.”
“It is,” Michael supplied stiffly. “But it’s harmless. It shouldn’t be able to move at all.
“…” Jeremy opened his mouth to ask another question, but he didn’t know how to phrase it.
“Don’t worry about it, okay? Evan’s got it handled,” Michael replied sharply. “Just keep checking the vents.”
“Right, got it.” Jeremy retrieved his flashlight. “You seem to have a bad experience with it.”
“I guess you could say that,” Michael answered shortly. “And you really never saw it when Toy Bonnie attacked you?”
“Uh, nope. I remember working on my shift and then waking up naked in your house. That’s… about it…” Jeremy lied awkwardly.
“Hmm…” Michael didn’t seem too sure about that, but he let it go. “So you didn’t see the giant golden bunny in my house either?”
“Nope!” Jeremy scratched his neck nervously. “Do you think it was the same one Evan was worried about?”
“Can’t be,” Michael replied. “The one I saw was a literal rabbit. This one is animatronic. There’s no way those two are the same thing.”
“I suppose not.” Jeremy shrugged, regretting holding up this conversation. “You seem… less grouchy than earlier.”
Michael turned to Jeremy wearily. “I had a rough morning.”
“Yeah, no, I get that. I just… I wanted to apologize for my sister’s behavior this morning.” Jeremy cleared his throat. “And um. I was wondering if, like, there was a way to sort things out?”
“Oh, you mean about borrowing my clothes? Don’t even sweat it, I don’t need them back.” Michael returned his focus to his work.
“I know Ramona can be awful sometimes-“
“I don’t care about that, Jeremy.” Michael finally gave him proper eye contact, shooting a jolt up Jeremy’s spine. Damn, that was hot. “I don’t care that your sister thinks I’m a killer, or that she thinks my father is also a killer. I couldn’t care less, because she’s right.”
“Oh.” Jeremy shifted uncomfortably, surprised. “Who did you…?”
“Evan. My baby brother.” Michael turned away again, his voice leaving no room to continue the conversation. Jeremy struggled to find a way to resume it, but he couldn’t.
It was all too comforting when Evan reappeared to confirm that Jeremy hadn’t touched the suit.
“Cassidy can’t figure out why it would have moved,” Evan said, peering at the camera suspiciously. “Music box.”
“Stop telling me what to do,” Michael grumbled, but he wound the music box.
“Hey, so how did you die?” Jeremy asked, even though he knew the answer.
Evan raised a surprised eyebrow at him. “That’s such a brash question to ask a nine-year-old.”
“Yeah, but depending on how long you’ve been dead, technically you aren’t nine anymore.”
“Leave him alone,” Michael growled.
“You don’t need to coddle me, Mikey.” Evan rolled his eyes. “What year is it?”
“1987,” Jeremy supplied, pretending to be less afraid of the way Michael was glaring at him. He checked the hallway with his vent to try to divert attention. “It is November.”
“So I’ve been dead for like four years then. My dad killed me.”
“He did?” Jeremy raised an eyebrow at Michael, who scowled.
“He’s lying to you. I was the one who killed him.”
“The accident was an accident,” Evan argued. “You’re not a murderer, Mike.”
“I’m close enough to one,” he shot back.
“So wait, why would you say your father killed you?”
“Because he did.” Evan crossed his legs and peered at Jeremy. “I see why the others like you so much.”
“Uh, thanks?”
“You’re so…” Evan snapped his fingers, trying to think of the word. “Honest. Genuine. Something like that.”
“Candid, maybe?” Jeremy offered.
Michael made an irritated noise as Evan brightened. “That’s the word! Yeah, you’re just so candid and blunt about everything. It’s refreshing. No handholding or coddling.”
“I don’t coddle you more than you try to coddle me,” Michael grumbled.
“Anyway,” Evan shot a pointed look at his brother. “What actually happened was Mikey tried to play a prank on me regarding Fredbear. One of the animatronics of the original diner.” When Jeremy looked confused, Evan elaborated. “The first place wasn’t Freddy’s. Our father and Uncle Henry opened the business as Fredbear’s Family Diner. There were two original animatronics. Fredbear and Spring Bonnie.”
Michael made an impatient noise. “I stuck him in Fredbear’s mouth, and the bloody bear bit down on his head. It was my fault.”
“Your fault I was in the hospital, but not your fault I died,” Evan countered. “Michael was all about apologizing, promising to be a better brother if I just woke up. But when Father came to visit, he told me that this attention-seeking was ridiculous, that I should just open my eyes so the bad press would go away.”
Evan’s tone grew quieter, and even Michael paused, his expression softening. “He said that if I didn’t get up, I didn’t deserve to live. And then I was in the suit, with only Fredbear to keep me company.”
That’s the golden bear then, Jeremy thought. “So, your father is your killer?”
“Not just mine. All the missing kids too.” Evan shrugged. “We’d tear him to pieces if we could find him, but there’s only so many hours ghosts are awake.”
“Presumably only during this shift,” Michael added. “I don’t think Phil ever mentioned the haunted animatronics, and Ramona only mentioned rumors about them.”
Evan and Michael both didn’t seem very inclined to speak much after that. Michael did try to stop him when he went for his next patrol, but he didn’t care too much. The patrol was something he’d always done, and just because he was sharing a shift with someone in the office now didn’t mean he was going to stop doing it. It just gave him a longer time limit.
Maybe at some point he could ask about this mysterious ‘Cassidy’ that Evan kept mentioning. But for now, he checked corners and looked in the camera blind spots, knowing that most didn’t ever bother to check. Toy Freddy and Toy Chica didn’t seem too interested in leaving the stage tonight, which Jeremy was grateful for. The Puppet was sealed away, the music box wound tightly to keep the music playing.
And he remembered Evan’s words about Cassidy preferring to have people stay out of Parts and Service. Instead of entering the room, he just whispered at the door, “I’m trusting you to have everything handled in there Cassidy.”
A cold feeling enveloped him, and he shuddered as he walked away. It was weird to miss Mangle on a shift, but he supposed they wouldn’t come around while Evan was guarding the office. He checked the back door quickly to ensure it was locked and was glad to find that Michael had indeed locked it behind him.
“I wish I could complain about the job you’re doing here, but it seems to be fantastic,” Jeremy said with a sigh as he plopped back into his chair.
Michael raised an eyebrow at that, the constant frown relenting slightly. “Yeah?”
“Yeah. Got the door locked and everything. Better than Fritz does, anyway.”
“Door was already locked when I got here,” Michael said. “But I’ll take the compliment.”
Huh. Interesting. Jeremy was curious about Michael’s sense of humor though, so he poked a little more. “Of course, I can’t really give you all the credit, since it seems that Evan and Cassidy are the ones who are actually in charge around here. They just tolerate you.”
Evan snorted at that, covering his mouth as Michael’s expression returned to a scowl. “I don’t know that you can say you’ve been doing much either, Jeremy.”
“I’m not claiming to. But the animatronics like me, according to Evan, so I have a one-up on you.”
Michael shook his head, but he didn’t rise to the bait.
The rest of the night passed in somewhat stiff silence.
“See you tomorrow night, I guess. Fitzgerald.” Michael rose, offering a hand for Jeremy to shake.
“Same to you, dude.” Jeremy shook his hand cheerily, trying not to visibly wince as Michael crushed his hand in the shake. “Until next time, Afton-“
As soon as he started to say the last word, Michael shoved him back against the wall, covering his mouth. A thrill ran through Jeremy as pain shot up his back. He couldn’t help a startled whimper as Michael glared at him with icy blue eyes.
“Never call me that. Understand? Never.”
“I… I understand! Yep! Never going to call you that ever again, never ever!” Jeremy chirped back, knowing his enthusiasm was way more than the situation required.
“It’s Schmidt. Michael Schmidt.”
“Then… I’ll see you tonight, Schmidt.”
Michael rolled his eyes, pulling a stick of gum from his pocket to start chewing it before he walked out of the security office. Evan had disappeared somewhere around 5, so Jeremy remained to tidy up a tiny bit before walking out to his car.
Michael was still on the sidewalk, presumably going to walk home, and Jeremy did not accept that he was just going to be walking in the chilly air in only his work uniform. He drove alongside Michael, rolling down his window. “Need a ride home?”
“No.” Michael kept walking, not even glancing at the car. “I’m used to walking everywhere.”
“You could catch a cold!” Jeremy protested.
“Good thing I’m not the only one on shift then,” he shot back, blowing a bubble with his gum. “Go home, Fitzgerald.”
“Alright fine. But if you get sick, I’m going to say ‘I told you so.’”
“I’m so terrified of the threat,” Michael replied sarcastically. “Goodbye.”
Rude, Jeremy thought with mild annoyance. But this was progress from last time! Last time, Michael hadn’t had much to say except “fuck off,” so at least Jeremy got through it this time without that. And he’d also gotten information that Ramona hadn’t had, which meant she was wrong about Michael Afton.
“So ghosts are real?” Ramona pressed as Jeremy hung up the phone after receiving a call from his friend Sebastian.
He was so lucky Seb was willing to give him a discount, so lucky he was willing to do repairs without questioning things. Jeremy had already gotten rid of the couch and burned his old sheets. The last step to making the whole rabbit nightmare a forgotten memory was the torn flooring.
“Yeah. And Evan has a much better sense of humor than his brother.” Jeremy shot his sister a skeptical look. “You’re not surprised by anything else I said?”
“Like what? The kid forgiving his older brother? You said he was like nine?”
Jeremy didn’t know how to respond to that. She wasn’t wrong. But it didn’t feel like she was completely right either. “But-“
“Jer, you’re being dumb about all this. You need to think with your brain at least some of the time.”
“I am using my brain! I was asking all the questions I needed answers to.”
“Yeah? Then why are you still so blatantly defending Michael Afton?”
Because if he’s a monster, then so am I, Jeremy thought to himself, but he didn’t say it out loud. “Forget it.”
“Jeremy-“
“No, it’s not worth arguing about. But Evan gave me back my keys.” Jeremy stood up moodily. “It was nice talking with you, Ramona, but I gotta get some sleep before tonight’s shift.”
“Jer, what’s bothering you? You know you can tell me about it, right?” Ramona pressed.
“I know. I just don’t feel like getting into it right now. That’s all. Have a good day, Mona.”
“You too, Jer.” Ramona hesitated for another moment. “I’m here for you, if you need anything.”
“I know.”
Ramona shot him a worried look as she got through the door, careful to avoid catching her pants on the splintered wood that Sebastian was going to replace.
After his sister left, Jeremy stripped, unsure of what triggered him to turn into the rabbit. He didn’t want to ruin clothes that didn’t belong to him though, so he wasn’t taking chances as he went to rest properly for the first time in ages.
Michael let himself back into his house with a heavy sigh. That shift had been long. He undid his tie, ignoring the impatient meowing at his feet while he changed out of his work clothes. “Give me some time, Logan.”
Logan meowed again, pawing at his empty bowl.
“One second, Logan.” Michael pulled a new shirt over his head before giving the cat a scratch behind his ear. “I’ll get that bowl filled in no time.”
After feeding Logan, Michael was tempted to go out and look for the bunny again. Surely it couldn’t have gone far, right? Even if it had been gone for a day, maybe it was just hungry and hunting. Maybe it had tried to return while Michael was gone and couldn’t get back in. Maybe-
You’re overthinking this. God, you are such a freak Michael. Michael shook his head, walking toward the place where he’d last seen the rabbit. Maybe the dumpster was its home?
His hopefulness diminished as he approached the dumpster. He couldn’t see any sign of it anyway. Shoulders slumping, he prepared to walk back, so he could let Logan have his own walk.
A soft thumb behind him made him hesitate though. Michael turned, excitement growing as he saw the giant shape of the golden rabbit who’d appeared very suddenly. “There you are!” Michael exclaimed, beaming as he reached out for the bunny.
His new friend nuzzled into his hand immediately, rubbing its fluffy face against his hand. “I missed you buddy,” Michael whispered into the overwhelmingly soft fur.
A soft rumble in the bunny’s throat soothed him, making all the irritation and torment from the last day completely vanishing. “You can’t just disappear on me, you know,” Michael said, trying for a scolding tone.
The bunny thumped his back foot as a reply.
“What? Are you going to say you didn’t miss me? Because I think you’d be lying.”
The bunny nosed at his neck. A soft, wet feeling made Michael’s neck prickle in the cold.
“Is that a way of saying you did miss me?” Michael asked, scratching up behind the rabbit’s ear.
He stumbled a bit as the rabbit rocked forward, knocking him off-balance a little bit. The rabbit kept nuzzling him until he was completely knocked to the ground. Startled, he didn’t even attempt to get up before he was completely enveloped in soft, warm, golden fur.
“Hey, hang on a sec-“ Michael tried to protest before the bunny squished its head down over his, keeping him even more safely enveloped in warmth. “I need to let Logan out for a bit! You’re going to make it so a poor little kitty can’t stretch his legs, is that what you want?”
A grumbling noise resonated in the back of the bunny’s throat, but it let Michael get to his feet. “Thank you.”
Michael walked back, knowing that the bunny was going to follow him back this time. He didn’t even need to stress about it. Michael grabbed his mail from the box on his way back into the house, tossing the pile onto his table before shaking the harness to get Logan to come running.
“Time for your walk, you crazy cat,” Michael said, pretending to ignore the rabbit who’d opted to lurk on the front lawn instead of coming in this time. Maybe it likes to be free to roam, he thought to himself.
Logan was happy enough to take his walk, purring as they returned. Shortly after Michael walked through the door and started undoing Logan’s harness, the rabbit wriggled into the house, looming behind Michael.
After he’d shut the door, Michael let out a big yawn, rubbing his eyes briefly. Gotta check the mail first, he scolded himself as he yawned again.
Glancing at the top of the stack, Michael felt himself pale. It was another letter from his father, this time marked as urgent. He hadn’t even opened the last one, and now he was getting another? Michael was just grateful his father didn’t know his phone number, but then actual horror struck him. He could just come to my house.
Michael twitched, grabbing the letter so tightly the edges crinkled. With a solid grip, he ripped the envelope and the contents in half. The rabbit flinched, clearly not expecting such a violent action. Logan was unaffected, as usual.
He tossed the torn remains into his trash bin and stalked to his bedroom, trying so hard not to start trembling or crying. The bunny nudged the door open and sniffed at the edge of his bed. Michael patted the side of his bed, giving it permission to jump up. The bunny took the permission easily, pressing comforting warmth into Michael’s back as tears leaked from the corners of his eyes.
“Why can’t he just leave me alone?” Michael sobbed quietly. “It’s bad enough knowing that I did something monstrous, but he does it on purpose. I bet he’s out there doing it to some other poor kids now, and I’m just not strong enough to stand up to him.”
The bunny rumbled out a growl at the blame Michael placed on himself, but it still soothed his pain with soft fur. He rolled over and buried his face properly into the fur, his fingers tangling into the strands. So soft, he thought to himself, tears dampening the fur of the bunny’s chest.
Not that it seemed to mind, pulling Michael closer as he started drifting off to sleep. “I just don’t get it…” Michael trailed off, finally relaxing enough to let go of consciousness.
Jeremy woke up with his arms wrapped around a sleeping Michael. Why am I not surprised? he thought to himself, carefully untangling himself from his sleeping coworker. He’d kill me if he knew I was here.
Unease sank into Jeremy as he realized he was yet again left to try to sneak out without clothing. But at least he was in Michael’s room this time, and he could just grab clothes without getting caught.
His foot hit something soft and warm, and a disgruntled meow made Jeremy realize the cat was also here. Oh shit. Directing a glare at the cat, Jeremy climbed out of the bed without causing the cat or Michael to wake up completely. The black cat nestled back into his paws, purring loudly as Jeremy snuck a new pair of clothing out of Michael’s drawer.
He left quickly, pushing open a window and crawling out of it, ignoring the pain that shot through his feet as he landed on rocks. Jeremy glanced around before hurrying toward his house, memorizing the address as he left the place.
He felt bad for ditching, but he also knew he could not just stay after all that. Not after how upset Michael had seemed the first time. Until he could control when he turned into a rabbit and maybe stay as a rabbit when around Michael, then he wasn’t taking any chances.
Back home, Jeremy slipped socks onto his feet and glanced at the time. He had plenty of time to spare before work, but he still couldn’t help but feel a bit antsy. I’m not supposed to know where he lives, Jeremy thought glumly.
The phone ringing pulled Jeremy away from spiraling in his obsession. Maybe Ramona was right about all that stuff anyway. “Hello? Jeremy Fitzgerald here.”
“Jeremy! What a pleasant surprise to hear your voice. No offense, but we all thought you were dead!”
“Yeah, that’s what Michael told me,” Jeremy chuckled nervously, wondering why Lloyd was calling him.
“Hey, you’re not too opposed to just sharing that shift with him, right? I mean, I know you said you absolutely did not want to have to deal with kids, and I completely understand. Michael had the same qualms about the shift, but this is the only shift where no one is stuck hanging around children. But you’re all good with that? You’re fine sharing the workload? It's probably better anyway, having two people check on the place during those hours. Keeps the place safer- I mean, more secure!” Lloyd blabbed on, talking so fast Jeremy could barely keep up with what he was saying.
“I’m okay with it. Is he?” Jeremy leaned back against the wall, a finger hooked absently into the phone cord. An excuse to spend more time with Michael? No way was he turning that down.
“Oh! Yeah, uh, he actually seemed more than happy to have someone else there. I guess he doesn’t have the same familiarity you have with the job yet. He’s probably a bit jittery about the atmosphere. You know, he’s never had a nighttime security job before, actually.”
“Lloyd, is that all you needed from me, or is there something else?”
“Oh, that’s it. Uh, except one thing. We found a bunch of the torn remains of your uniform. Did you want a new one? I’m guessing that you’ve been using the spare, but you should really have more than one.”
“By that logic, I should have at least three,” Jeremy pointed out. “In case one is misplaced or ruined, or another incident like the other night happens.”
“Can I ask what happened?”
“Toy Bonnie came after me. I don’t really remember what happened after that,” Jeremy replied swiftly. “I don’t need to fill out an incident report or anything do I? I mean, as far as I’m aware, no one got hurt.”
“Nobody was hurt in the incident. We didn’t actually know that until just now actually.” Lloyd laughed nervously. “No, we don’t need anything from you, don’t worry! It just would’ve helped us if you’d remembered something about Toy Bonnie attacking, or maybe Fritz coming in-“
“I don’t know anything about that, sorry.” Jeremy cleared his throat awkwardly. “But I can be in in a couple minutes if you have extra uniforms ready.”
“Oh! Yeah, I can totally do that. Yeah, if you come in before 6, I can totally get you set up with some new uniforms.”
“Great, I’ll see you at 5 then.”
“Fantastic!”
Jeremy hung up the phone feeling more awkward than ever before. At least he’d have a uniform again.
When he saw Michael at the next shift, he set out by tipping his hat at the other man. No response. Evan seemed a bit distracted today as well, somewhat of a frown crossing his face.
Jeremy sat down awkwardly in his chair, remembering Lloyd’s words from earlier. If he had to guess, maybe Michael had been relieved to have an excuse to make sure Jeremy wasn’t in any danger after all the personal risks he took at work.
“I’m going to do a patrol,” he announced abruptly, picking up his flashlight.
“Don’t die,” Evan said, peering over Michael’s shoulder.
“Right…” Jeremy looked at Michael hopefully, but the other man gave him no indication that he was going to say anything in reply.
The night was somewhat quiet. It was weird having the toy animatronics remaining onstage every night, and Jeremy almost wished they’d move so he could at least know that Toy Bonnie hadn’t been a fluke. Even Mangle hadn’t sought him out since he’d turned, presumably too afraid of him now to approach.
It made sense, considering how Percy was taking the exact same approach with him, but it still stung to know that his dog and his favorite animatronic no longer seemed to see him as a safe person. Even Evan didn’t trust him in that form, if Jeremy’s memory served correctly.
Nobody saw him as more than a monster aside from Michael. Was that why he was so magnetized to the other man? Physical attributes aside, Michael seemed well-guarded, not trusting other people. But he seemed to have a secret affection for animals. Even with the amount he swore at his cat, he seemed to love the cat enough to care for it when he was not in the mood to care for the poor thing.
Sighing, Jeremy started to head back toward the cold atmosphere of the main office. He stopped upon hearing what sounded like sobbing coming from Parts and Service.
“Hey, everything okay in there?” Jeremy asked, hoping for a gentle tone.
“No!” The door flew open, nearly hitting Jeremy in the face, and he couldn’t help but flinch at the small girl glowering at him with thick black tear streaks running down her face. “He’s come back, and I can’t stop him!”
“Who came back?” Jeremy asked, crouching down to her level. “Sorry for asking, but I seem to be a bit out of the loop.”
“You take things more seriously than most,” she huffed. Then she blinked at him. “Wait, you’re that security guard guy. We all thought you died!”
“That seems to be the common consensus,” Jeremy sighed. “But who came back? Clearly he’s no one good if you are unhappy about it.”
“No. He killed me, and he’s gonna kill more kids.”
“Oh.” A prickle of fear made Jeremy tremble a bit at that. “When did he come back?”
“Not too long ago. We didn’t notice the changes in his suit, but-“ she glanced at the darkened area for a moment. “Here, I’ll just show you.”
Cold fingers wrapped around Jeremy’s wrist, and he was startled to discover that apparently ghosts could in fact touch people.
“So, originally, he was in that locker there, right?” the girl gestured at the locker Jeremy had originally spotted the animatronic at.
“Yeah…”
“Well, he’s not anymore. Now he’s on the floor over here,” Cassidy pointed directly at where the golden bunny suit was slumped next to the old Freddy model.
“Oh. And this suit’s not possessed right? Nobody should be moving it?”
“No one should be moving it. Employees can get fired for touching it, much less moving it. And I haven’t seen it move on its own.”
“Ghosts can only do things at this time of night…” Jeremy trailed off thoughtfully. “You think it’s the same guy who killed you?”
“I know it is. I had to ask a bunch of times to get anywhere with Evan. That kid is so tight-lipped, I swear.” The girl shook her head. “But apparently, this suit here can only be activated by a key. One person had that key.”
“Your killer.”
“William Afton,” she confirmed. “At least, that’s what Evan says, but he’s been wrong about so much lately, that I’m just worried he’s wrong about that too.”
“Did you try asking Michael?”
“Evan doesn’t think I should talk to the security guards.” The girl shrugged. “He thinks I’ll just kill you guys. But I’m not that murderous. I still have a brain, unlike some people.”
“So you must be Cassidy?”
“Yep.” Cassidy sighed. “I mean, I don’t want to complain because it makes sense that Evan wants to spend time with his brother, but I miss being able to roam the pizzeria freely. Ever since Toy Bonnie got dinged, I’ve been checking in here to make sure Spring Bonnie hasn’t been used. I think we scared him off pretty well though.”
“Spring Bonnie…?”
“The yellow rabbit suit,” Cassidy pointed, rolling her eyes. “Oh! One more thing. I know you’re like, nocturnal or whatever like we are. But you can actually wake up during the day. Could you like, keep an eye out for someone wearing the suit?”
“I mean, I suppose. Did Evan bring that up to Michael?”
“I doubt it. He hates the idea of getting you guys involved.” Cassidy wrinkled her nose. “Something about trying not to cause more deaths than necessary, but he’s not going to kill an adult out in the open like that. I think it’s fine.”
“Huh. Okay. I mean, I can try…”
“Whatever works.” Cassidy seemed satisfied, finally noticing the red light on in the camera. “Oh! Say cheese!”
“That’s a live feed, Cassidy. It’s not a picture camera.”
“You’re no fun.” Cassidy stuck her tongue out at him. “Bye bye for now. I’ll expect results later.”
“I hope I’ll have results for you.”
“That’s the spirit!” Cassidy said cheerfully before disappearing.
Resigning himself to the blinking light of the security camera, Jeremy went back to the office. If he hadn’t been sure before, Evan’s scowl told him plenty about what he needed to know.
“What were you thinking?” Evan hissed, his eyes so dark there was absolutely no color aside from the darkest of dark pits.
“Uhh…”
“She could’ve killed you!”
“She dragged me in there!” Jeremy said in protest.
“Did she now? Maybe she’s just lonely because she lost her best friend.” Michael shot a pointed look at his brother.
“Cassidy can’t stand me,” Evan scoffed, but he let up on Jeremy a little bit. “What did she want?”
“Help with her little investigation into Spring Bonnie.” Jeremy dropped into his chair and peered at the camera monitor in Michael’s hands. “Still no animatronic movement, huh? Almost like they were told to stay put.”
He raised an eyebrow at Evan. The kid rolled his eyes, the frown not relenting. “Toys aren’t our thing. We watch over the others.”
“So the toys not moving is also suspicious behavior?” Jeremy asked. “Hey, not to be dumb or anything, but how much did your dad work with the animatronics?”
“He helped create them, so a pretty significant amount,” Michael answered. “Evan, I just think you should make up with her.”
“There’s nothing to make up! She doesn’t want anything to do with me, and that’s fine. I’ll stay out of her space, and she can take care of the others!”
“She said you told her to stay in Parts and Service,” Jeremy said.
“You’re going to believe her over me? Mikey, you can’t believe this, surely!”
“I mean, I don’t know what to believe. I’ve never spoken to Cassidy before, and if its your word or Jeremy’s, then I’ll take your word for it. But I do still think you should try to resolve this conflict you have with her-“
“Think what you want then! I don’t care!” Evan’s eyes flashed before he abruptly vanished.
Jeremy sat in stunned silence as Michael just continued checking things. “Well that was…”
“He’s just pouting. We’ve had this argument before, don’t worry.” Michael didn’t glance over at Jeremy as he talked. “So, Cassidy let you off with a warning or something I’m guessing?”
“I already said she dragged me in. She wants me to go in during the day and look out for a guy in a rabbit costume.”
“That could only be one person, you know,” Michael said grimly, sitting back to start giving Jeremy his attention. “My father only made one key for that suit.”
“Cassidy said that. She also seems a bit weary of taking information from Evan since he seems a little…”
“Mixed up?” Michael shrugged. “Yeah, don’t put too much stock in what he says. I don’t think he fully knows where he’s at.”
“That’s fair, I guess…” Jeremy wasn’t fully appreciative of that response. “So, you still think your dad killed those kids?”
“Without a doubt. He was always a bit more bitter when he had to deal with them, and if the other kids say it was the golden bunny man, then who am I to say they’re wrong? It makes sense.” Michael shook his head. “I still don’t understand what kind of monster could willingly decide that kids couldn’t get to live their lives though.”
“A kind that’s actually a monster as opposed to someone who thinks of himself as one?” Jeremy offered.
Michael turned his gaze on Jeremy lazily. “I know what you’re trying to do.”
“Is it working?”
“Not more than Evan’s assurances. Listen, I made my peace with what I did a long time ago.”
“It doesn’t seem like it.” Jeremy laid a reassuring hand on Michael’s arm. “You didn’t mean it. There’s no way you and your dad are even remotely in the same league-“
“Yeah, but a monster is a monster, aren’t they? Killers are monsters, Jeremy. Simple as that.” Michael slipped his hand away and went back to the cameras. “It’s not like it’s possible to always spot a monster on the surface anyway. Maybe you’re just telling yourself I can’t be a monster because I don’t look like one.”
Jeremy stiffened at that. You don’t have to look like a monster to be a monster. Did that mean the opposite was true too? He wanted desperately to know the answer.
Michael tried to give him a smile. “Look, it’s no big deal, really. If you aren’t actively saying I’m following in my father’s footsteps, then I think things are okay, you know? Like, I may not really like you, but I don’t think you’re a complete twat.”
“Uh, thanks?” Jeremy didn’t know how to respond to that, instead shining his light into the vent to avoid the heat that rose to his face at what he was guessing was meant to be a compliment.
“Anytime.” Michael chuckled softly. “Looks like he’s going for a full night sulk tonight. Guess it’s just us now.”
“Think you’ll be able to handle the office once I go on my next patrol?” Jeremy asked teasingly.
Michael snorted. “With the animatronics the way they are? I’ll be more than fine.”
“Good to know.”
A few nights passed like this, Michael offering minimal conversation during the shift, Jeremy taking his time to do patrols and update Cassidy on what he saw during the days.
It wasn’t much more than he had during the night, but Cassidy seemed to appreciate it nonetheless. And if he showed up to work tired, then that was fine too. Michael would shake his head, and Evan was still pouting about his argument with Cassidy, so he didn’t care.
Still, he felt a little bit bad whenever he realized he’d nodded off, insisting that Michael wake him. And evidently, that was not happening every time it happened. It hadn’t hurt anything so far though, so Jeremy was willing to let it slide.
It had taken him ages, quietly arguing with Evan while Jeremy slumped in his chair, to convince his brother to try and work things out with Cassidy. Evan had been furious that Cassidy was putting Jeremy in harm’s way, but Michael thought he probably knew the risks of what he was getting into.
Why should Cassidy get the blame anyway? She wanted help, not to doom another man to die. And Evan had given plenty of warning, so Jeremy could’ve backed out whenever he wanted to, so it was fine. There was simply no need to keep blaming Cassidy.
Michael spared a glance away from his constant checking to look at the uncomfortable way Jeremy had passed out in his chair, drool leaking from the corner of his mouth, hat knocked askew. On impulse, he reached over and fixed Jeremy’s hat, before deciding to move him to the floor.
Jeremy’s head knocked into Michael’s chest, and he felt sure that the man would wake. Jeremy hardly stirred, so Michael continued to lay him down, removing Jeremy’s jacket to tuck it beneath his head like a pillow. There, Michael thought to himself, somewhat satisfied before he went back to flick through the cameras absently.
Unfortunately for Mike, however, he’d missed the sound of an animatronic crawling into the vent, too focused on making sure he didn’t wake up Jeremy to pay much attention to the world around him.
The loud static did eventually catch Michael’s attention, and he set the monitor down, forgetting to wind the music box as he glanced at the phone. It was in its cradle, and belatedly Michael realized that noise meant animatronic, and he turned to check the vent just as Mangle swung down to attack.
Michael yowled in pain as the impact knocked him from his chair and plastic teeth tore through his face. The edge of the desk caught the other side of his face, making his vision blurry as he faintly caught the sound of tearing fabric and an angry growl.
Something warm ran down his face as the animatronic screeched, hiding away from the giant shadow looming over Michael. Struggling to push himself upright, he found himself surrounded by golden fur. Oh. Michael blinked blood out of his eye, struggling to process the scene around him, only slightly frightened now that he knew his rabbit friend had somehow appeared to aid him. I hope it doesn’t step on my coworker. That’d be awkward to explain.
“Mikey!” Evan’s voice echoed in the quiet environment. “Michael?”
The bunny was growling, a low rumble vibrating through its body. Cool hands cupped both sides of Michael’s face as Evan’s face came into view.
“Oh my god,” Evan breathed, smudging the blood stream ever so slightly. “Where did Jeremy go? I thought you knew what you were doing!”
“Glad you’ve got your priorities in order,” Michael answered slowly, still struggling to focus on his brother’s face. “Your hands are cold.”
“Of course they are.” Evan huffed in exasperation. “Wait, you’re totally in shock. Mikey…”
“The music box…” Michael trailed off as he registered that a completely quiet room was not a good thing.
Evan’s eye widened. “Oh no.”
The sound of aggressive music echoed in the halls as the Puppet made its approach. Not that it was much of a problem, seeing as Michael’s bunny pinned the animatronic to the ground before it could do much.
“Wait, don’t do that,” Evan said hurriedly. “Uh, I need to-“
“Yeah, no, go ahead.” Michael’s eyelids fluttered shut as Evan went away to shout at the bunny who was currently having a very intense stare down with the Puppet.
Jeremy hadn’t known he’d fallen asleep on shift that night. Waking up tangled in bindings made of shimmery thread had not been the most reassuring thing. More startling than that, however, was the pooling blood around Michael’s head as Evan argued with an unfamiliar girl.
Cautiously he untangled himself and dug into the duffel bag he started to bring to every shift, grateful for his planning as the remains of his uniform remained littered across the floor. The bickering children didn’t notice as he slipped his uniform on quickly before pressing his jacket (which for some reason was folded on the floor) to the wound on Michael’s head. Jeremy managed to pull the man close so he could hold the fabric to the wound while still being able to dial for the hospital.
Jeremy didn’t know how Michael had been injured, but based on the teeth marks, he had a sinking feeling Mangle had done something to the poor man. He did look a bit too similar to his father for Jeremy’s liking. That had to be the real reason Michael was so vigilant and why Evan was so paranoid about him missing things in the cameras.
The children stopped arguing to look at him when he was explaining things to the emergency operator, seeming to realize that maybe there were more urgent things to deal with than whatever they’d been arguing about. Jeremy clutched the plastic tightly in one hand as he clutched to Michael’s injury with the other.
Evan was the first to approach Jeremy, looking more disheveled than Jeremy even knew ghosts could be. “You’re the rabbit thing.”
Jeremy nodded awkwardly. He knew they’d discovered him the minute he’d woken up and was tangled in that same shimmery stuff that he’d seen under his skin before he transformed the first time.
“Our conversation isn’t over, Evan,” the girl said, impatiently. “Sure, Mike takes priority, but the fact that you guys tried to lock me away is absolutely insane.”
“How about we skip the interrogation until we know that Michael’s okay,” Jeremy said weakly.
“I guess that’s a good way to put things.” The girl crouched at Michael’s side, brushing bloodied hair out of his face. “Although you and me need a talk at some point, Mr. Fitzgerald.”
“I’m long overdue for talks with a bunch of people now,” Jeremy muttered.
Please be okay.

Part One: Still Into You 5.7k words
There was something alluring about starting from a clean slate. Without any threads of the past holding you down, it makes it feel as if you could be anyone and that you could do anything. That’s exactly what this new chapter of your life has to offer. You were certain that college would be the ultimate turning point.
It’s not like you had any bad habits—unless being stuck in your safety bubble would be considered one. By all means, you were comfortable with how your life was. But whenever your brother showed you how fun his life at college was, your desire for the preconcerted way of living was slowly being chipped away.
Perhaps the unconscious longing for a different—more thrilling life—was what determined you to change your ways. But then again, the past cannot be totally left behind. It’ll always find a way to worm itself in the present.
That worm in your life happened to be your brother’s little punk rock band.
Well… to be fair, they’re not as little as they used to be when they started in their high school years. You’ve heard the talk around the campus, but DEVOUR’s a pretty big deal now. And that’s exactly the problem. It would have been fine if it was just your brother—no way of avoiding him. But the rest of the band? You had history with them and it was highly likely that you’d have to encounter them A LOT.
Of course, there was also the thing about him.
Who would’ve known they would cause you more problems than one? When Yoichi dropped the bomb that you’d be staying with him at his studio apartment it already gave you a huge headache. But now that you were suffering the consequences of sleeping in the room next to their designated band practice location—this was more than a mere headache. It was a real fucking nightmare.
If Yoichi thought he could placate you by soundproofing the practice room, well, he’s dead wrong. You could still hear the music, though faintly. But the real issue was all the thumping. As a light sleeper, it was nothing short of torture for you.
Although, it did come as a shock when the disturbance eventually died down. You were expecting them to go at it until the wee hours of the morning. But it was good to know that they still had some sense in them. Checking your phone on the nightstand, it was around 11 PM. Not too bad.
You close your eyes and let sleep overcome you. Lately, your dreams have been about college. Even your subconscious was brimming with excitement. Tonight was supposed to be one of those dream-filled-deep-sleep kind of nights. But not even an hour later, you were awoken in the worst way possible.
You were sure something made its way in your room because how else would you explain the thing that just slammed into you—knocking the fucking air outta your lungs? You didn’t even stir when the door open and closed. But as you looked to your side, you could make it out in the darkness—an unfamiliar figure lying next to you with an arm draped over you.
Of course, most people’s first instinct would be to scream. And boy, did you scream like a banshee. Unfortunately, your room wasn’t soundproofed so Yoichi, who’s room was next to yours, was alarmed. Your door swung open, letting the light from the common room filter into your darker one. Yoichi stood by the door, groggy and rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“What happened?” he asked, a bit too calmly for someone who just heard their sister scream bloody murder.
You wondered how he hasn’t noticed the hulking figure next to you until you realized that the sneaky bastard hid themself under the covers, blending in with the pillows. Now, how were you going to respond to his question? On one hand, you were fucking disoriented by the issue at hand. On another, it wouldn’t look good if you somehow had a person in your bed literally the first day you moved in.
You had your suspicions about who it might be, but even then, it was still a questionable position to be in.
“Uh… I think a cockroach landed on me or something,” you lied. Gulping down the guilt, you hoped that he’d go back to his room. Then, you felt a sharp poke to your side causing you to yelp.
Yoichi sighs, unamused. “Seriously. Do you want me to help you kill it or what?”
“No! No… um… I’ll be fine.” Poke. “Eurgh… I mean, sorry to wake you up.” Poke. Poke. Poke. You weren’t even sure why you were covering up for this annoying asshole. But whoever this was, they kept poking at your side, trying to elicit another reaction. Clearly, they were getting a kick out of messing with you. Jerk.
Your brother nods, displeased at waking up for nothing. “Weirdo. Alright, I’ll spray some insect killer in here tomorrow or something.”
With that, Yoichi was finally gone and so was your fear of getting caught. But there was still a pressing issue. Hearing the door click shut, you immediately stood up and stomped your way to the light switch. It took you a while to adjust to the sudden brightness. Things were blurry for a moment, but you were certain about what was right in front of you.
Oh… you were so damn sure who it was.
The tips of his hair were now colored and he had a massive tattoo that ran from his neck and down his arm. Sure, he was more muscular than the last time you saw him. But despite all that, you were sure. There was no mistaking that it was him.
Him. The thread of the past that threatened to hold you back. You couldn’t put a finger exactly on your relationship. Perhaps you were close before, but did those sentiments survive the test of time?
It was none other than (your sworn love of your life at the age of 12), Michael fucking Kaiser.
“So I’m a cockroach now huh?” At least the cocky smile of his hasn’t changed a bit. You’d know because you’ve seen it a million times before. It was the same kind of smile he’d have while teasing you all those years ago.
You crossed your arms, glaring at him for the stunt he pulled earlier. “You’re worse than a cockroach; that’s for sure.”
“You’re saying you’d rather sleep beside a roach than me?”
Yes, you answer in your head. But your honest answer will only serve to inflate his already gigantic ego. “Enough of that—what are you even doing here?”
He laughs a bit. Kaiser found this strange reunion quite fun. “I crash here sometimes after practice and I may have forgotten that Yoichi’s little sister was moving in today.”
The intruder seemed way too relaxed on the bed as he propped himself up on his elbow. The cocky smile morphed into a lazy grin as he continued to look at you.
Somehow your annoyance melted away. You were reminded of all the times he’d stay at your house for hours on end. As a kid, you thought nothing of it. In fact, you were jealous of how permissive his parents were. You’d have to go through a whole spiel just to get your parents to agree for you to join your friends at the park—while Kaiser was allowed to stay and sleep all the time at your house.
But growing up, realizations were made and maybe it wasn’t something to be jealous of.
You took a few steps over to the bed, still with your arms crossed. As serious as you made yourself out to be, he only found it endearing.
“Don’t you have a place to stay at? Like a dorm on campus?”
The concern in your voice puzzled you a bit. Even though he was a pain in the ass, you cared for him regardless. The way his smile disappeared heightened your worries.
“I could go back to my place with my parents…” he muses while lying flat on his back. “But you know… practice drains me so it’s better if I can pass out in the room nearby.”
He could play it cool all he wants, but the way his voice and expression changed couldn’t fool you. There was no need to pry in his personal business. If he wanted to tell you the truth—he would. “You can take the couch… I’m sure Yoichi won’t mind.”
A smile returns to his features, albeit a smaller (less cocky) one. “The question is—would YOU mind?”
Right. Well, you may have had a crush on him for all these years since you were in middle school and high school. And you may have wished that he would stop seeing you as his best friend’s little sister. Aaaand you may have promised yourself that you would end this little crush of yours in college—even if you happen to stumble upon him.
Which you did and it just so happens that you encountered him in your bed of all places.
When he and Yoichi graduated from high school and went on to go to university, you haven’t seen Kaiser since. You haven’t heard from him except from the little snippets Yoichi would tell you about his band.
So you were sure that your feelings had faded along with his memory. But then why is your heart still beating so fast? Why couldn’t you take your eyes off of him?
You chalked it up to the earlier adrenaline of having some unknown presence break into your room. But now that the presence is known… Why do you still feel so nervous?
The simple and glaringly obvious answer was: you still liked him. A lot, to be exact. But you wouldn’t let yourself admit that. Despite pining after him all these years, you were aware of how much it hurt. It pained you to know that he’ll always see you as his best friend’s little sibling. And now seeing him with his new appearance—tatted and in a punk rock band…  you were certain that he had no slim pickings when it came to women.
Once more, you felt the familiar pang of disappointment in your chest. But above all that—you couldn’t deny that he mattered to you.
“No… I don’t really mind. The couch is yours for all I care.”
Kaiser sits up straight, still keeping his gaze fixed on you. “Sweet. You’re the best.”
The best huh? It was like a knot had formed in your stomach at his words. Dropping your arms to your sides, you gave him a tristful look in exchange. So many thoughts ran rampant in your head that it barely registered to you that he had already dragged himself out of your bed and was now standing in front of you.
He still towered over you like before. Did he always go to band practice shirtless or was God messing with you right now by shoving this awful coincidence at your face (quite literally). A cold sweat ran down your spine as his scent permeated your nose. His presence alone was intoxicating.
Kaiser placed a hand on your head, ruffling your hair a bit. “Good night then. I’ll see you in the morning.”
With one last smile, he was gone the same way he went in. He was even kind enough to switch the lights off for you.
Like a drain, the thoughts that had swirled in your mind slowly vanished. Out of sight, out of mind—you figured. You slowly got back into bed, pulling the covers just below your chin. Your fingers bunched the fabric tightly enough that your knuckles went white.
You could finally sleep… but maybe in a few more minutes because now you have to deal with your covers smelling like him.
— — — — —
“I told you she was moving in yesterday. Is your head full of air or what?”
“I just fucking forgot. Get off my ass will you?”
“For fuck’s sa—Hey, morning.”
You weren’t sure what they were mumbling about. You weren’t the most coherent after waking up. Though, this did feel like a familiar scene. You, waking up later than usual—still yawning with eyes half-lidded—while your brother and his best friend were already at the table eating breakfast. And most often than not, they’re going to be arguing about something stupid.
“Morning, Yoichi… Morning, Michael.”
“Heh, you must’ve slept well. You still got marks all over your face from the sheets,” he teased.
Kaiser was only met by a scoff. “Shut up.”
You made a beeline for the fridge, grabbing a carton of milk then making a bowl of cereal. Sitting at the table, you began to eat quietly from across them.
“So,” Yoichi starts. “I have something important to talk with you about
Your brow quirked, piqued by your brother’s sudden shift to seriousness. “What?”
He sighs, seemingly frustrated about the impending discussion. “I’ll be straight to the point. Can this fool stay with us? Like on the couch?”
Your chewing slowed, eventually coming to a complete halt. “You mean like… indefinitely? I thought he had a place to stay though?”
Yoichi glared at the man next to him, confirming your suspicions that perhaps the things he said last night weren’t factual at all. Was he occasionally crashing here or did he actually live here? Kaiser simply held his hands up in defense, an uneasy smile to boot.
“I don’t know what this idiot told you but he’s been living with me since we got here,” Yoichi explains. You drop your spoon in your bowl causing a bit of milk to splash out. This was the first that you heard of this arrangement.
“But… does Mom know about this? There wasn’t even any sign of anyone else living here with you?”
“Nah, she doesn’t know,” Kaiser coolly replies. “Plus, all my stuff’s in a duffle bag and some of it’s in the band room. It’d be a hassle to put away all my stuff when your parents visit.”
You should have been worried about a plethora of other things, but for some reason, all you could think about was why he had to live with your brother. Just what is going on in his life?
You cleared your throat. “Are you freeloading off of my brother?”
“Ouch. Do you really think I’d do such a thing? Don’t worry. I have a part-time job so I can pay half of the rent.”
Half? For a studio apartment? Whatever part-time job he has—it definitely pays well. You could see why Yoichi would agree to it and halving the expenses was cheaper than getting a dorm. Seeing as how he’s diligent about their living situation and Yoichi isn’t refuting his claims… you feel oddly calm about it. Besides, you were sure that your parents would be fine. It’s not that different from when he’d sleep over at your house when you three were younger… right?
You scold yourself internally for being so chill about this. You were too accepting of his presence. Bad habits die hard it seems.
But the discussion wrapped up quickly and not long after that—the two men were already deep into their discussion of the band. Yoichi and Kaiser are like the heart and mind of the band after all. This was originally their dream and somehow they roped in other guys to be a part of it. You’d never admit it to them, but you were proud of how far they’ve come.
Once you finished your breakfast, you stood to wash the dishes while they were already heading for the door.
“Hey. Come to the freshman party later. We’ll be playing and you need to watch or else I’m telling Mom.”
Kaiser chimes in. “There’s going to be a surprise too~”
Not a hint of trustworthiness could be seen in that mischievous smile of his. You had your hunch on what that surprise might be.
“I swear if you shout me out I will ignore you for the rest of the year.”
“Heh. No promises! But you should still come, alright? I’ll be waiting for you~” “I’m fucking serious. Don’t even think abo—”
And just like that, your brother and his menace of a best friend were out the door. Seems like you have something to keep you busy tonight then. Besides… you can’t disappoint someone waiting for you, right?
An act of courtesy was all it was.
— — — — —
Even without your brother’s earlier threat, you would have still come to this party. As a matter of fact, you’ve been mentally preparing for this night for about a week now. You were dead set on mingling with your fellow freshmen, getting loose, and having the time of your life. But you weren’t expecting to be overwhelmed to such a degree. The flashing lights, the huge crowd of dancing people, and the blaring music—you’ve never seen anything like it before.
How you would even get to talk to anyone here was beyond you. But perhaps you were looking at it the wrong way. People talked with their bodies here, but you couldn’t imagine pushing yourself between them—dancing and letting that speak for yourself.
You were getting cold feet. The urge to just turn around and leave was strong. However—as much as you loathed it—his words kept you anchored in your spot.
“I’ll be waiting for you.”
Sure, he was. They have a whole crowd out here; there was no way he’d be able to see you among all these people. The better part of yourself knew he was buttering you up, helping Yoichi into coaxing you to come here. But you let yourself be swayed.
Desperately, you tried to weave yourself through the throng of people blocking the path towards the stage. For a freshman party, the size of the place was impressive. Though that didn’t help when it took forever to get a good spot near the stage. If you weren’t going to socialize—might as well watch your brother and his friends perform.
You’ve mostly seen their band through videos. Whenever Yoichi sent one to your parents, they’d watch it on the living room TV. But now that you were about to see them live, the atmosphere was totally different. Maybe watching it on the TV wasn’t as excessive as you once thought.
As the DJ’s music died down, people—including you—were forced to direct the attention to the stage where they had already set up shop.
“Mic check… mic check… 1, 2, 3…”
An uncharacteristic smirk crosses your face. Your brother didn’t seem so lame when he was up front and leading the band. They were quite cool, holding their instruments and wearing black outfits with hints of red. Of course, you recognized most of them from high school, but there was a new guy sitting at the drum set.
Their last drummer was a bit of a lunatic… maybe this guy won’t be so bad.
“Alright. Sorry, Mr. DJ, but you gotta pack up ‘cuz DEVOUR is in the house.”
The crowd goes wild. If they’re this pumped—what more if they start playing? Guess Yoichi wasn’t lying when he said they were a big deal now. Even the university new bloods were howling for them.
“My name’s Isagi, your vocalist for tonight.”
“It’s Kaiser. Better keep your eyes on me, a’ight?”
“Rin.”
“Sei…I mean—Nagi… Nagi Seishirou.”
“And last but not the least! I’m Shidou Fuckin’ Ryusei. Make some noise, fuckers!”
By all means, that new drummer surely is the flashiest of the bunch. With an introduction and dramatic bow like that—there’d be no shortage of eyes staring at him all night. But, of course, your eyes immediately went to a certain tattooed man. Sure enough—Kaiser wore the (sexiest) black tank top. Of course, he did. And no, you were adamant that you were merely admiring his tattoo in its full glory. Definitely not his bulging biceps. You wouldn’t dare.
They start their set with one of their louder and faster songs. Yoichi has gotten better at singing and it never fails to amaze you how his demeanor changes once he gets ahold of a microphone. Rin and Nagi are… well, they’re still laid-back as ever. And the drummer’s really going all out. They had the crowd jumping, going wild along with the music. It was insane.
Although, one of them seemed out of it. It looked as if Kaiser was finding something amongst the crowd. His eyes darted from side-to-side in the large function hall, obviously distracted. But best believe he never missed a beat; Kaiser was as  flawless as ever. He prided himself in being an excellent performer through and through.
His hunt only ended when his eyes zeroed in on you. His expression softened—you swore it did. The corners of your mouth tugged, wanting to match the smile that was plastered on his face. You were no lip reader, but you were certain that he mouthed those words to you.
“Watch me closely, okay?”
You wondered if the words he uttered in their introduction were meant for everyone or if it was addressed to someone specifically…
Whatever—you found yourself getting lost in the rhythm of their music. Sure, you were staring at Kaiser for half of their set, but the entire band caught your attention down the line. They were really really really good. There was no stopping the amused smile from creeping on your face.
Alas, they slowed after some time, signaling that their set had ended.
“How are we doing so far?”
Your brother was met with the enthusiastic roar of the crowd. Huh… well, ain’t that neat? He flashes a grin. “How about we end the night with an encore? A cover? What do y’all say?”
Again, another wave of agreement.
Safe to say—your expectations were curbed when Kaiser gave his guitar to Yoichi and took his spot at the mic. He taps the mic once, then twice. “Yoichi, take care of my baby for me. Will you? I just have a crowd to wow right now.”
Cocky. But you had to admit—strong stage presence.
The tune started and your expression quickly changed. Seriously? Of all songs to cover… they really had to go with a song that resonated WAY TOO MUCH with you. But then again, seeing that stupid shit-eating smirk on his face tells you this was not much of a coincidence.
“Can’t count the years on one hand that we’ve been together…”
Hell, you promised that you’d start this new chapter of your life like a clean slate—nothing should be holding you back. Especially not some dumb-unreciprocated-childhood crush. But could you still call it a childhood crush at this point?
“I should be over all the butterflies, but I’m into you…”
Perhaps it was your mind playing tricks or you were actually going crazy and suffering hallucinations—but you promise that his eyes were fixed on you as he sang the lyrics.
Well, shit.
“Yeah, after all this time… I’m still into you.”
Seems like you’re not over him at all.
At the last note of the song, the crowd cheers for them—energized even after dancing for an hour now. Kaiser flashed his million dollar smile, leaning into the microphone.
“Thank you! You’ve been an awesome crowd. Again, we’re DEVOUR.”
The crowd swoons and they bow, concluding their performance for tonight. As the other guys began walking off the stage, Kaiser quickly added one last thing.
Your heart dropped when he pointed a finger at you. “And shoutout to our first and biggest fan, Yoichi’s little sister!”
While all eyes turned to look at you, your own gaze was fixed on the infuriating man on the stage. Something about those eyes were telling you that you’ll be alright.
— — — — —
It felt strange on your walk back home. After their set, you would have never thought that you’d actually find yourself with a group of people, talking and hyping each other up for the coming semester.
Well, they did approach you because Kaiser pointed you out. But a win is a win in your book. A small part of you was thankful for him. He gave you that little nudge—the boost that you needed to jumpstart from that clean slate of yours.
As you stood at the door to the studio apartment, you could hear muffled voices coming from inside. Pushing the door, you were met with the entire band. So it seems that this isn’t just their designated practice location… but also their hang out space.
How troublesome.
Yoichi and Rin were too busy arguing about something that they failed to greet you. Kaiser was nowhere to be seen, so it was only Nagi and the drummer aware of your presence.
“Yo,” Nagi greets you.
“Hey, Sei. Nice to see you again,” you wave back. Nagi only nods. Actually, you were expecting him to drop like a fly after the taxing performance they just did. But it was a pleasant surprise to see him wide awake.
You felt the drummer’s eyes on you as you made your way inside. What was his name again? Shidou was it?
“Uh… hey, Shidou, right?”
He grinned like the Cheshire cat. “Yeah, that would be me. You Isagi’s girl?”
That seemed to catch the attention of the two men arguing. “Dude, what the fuck.”
“Did you not hear Kaiser introduce her earlier as his sister? She’s literally an Isagi too, dumbass.”
At least Rin and Yoichi can agree on some things.
Shidou shrugs. “Must’ve missed it ‘cuz I got off the stage first.” He sat up straighter, a determined look on his face. “In that case, can I shoot my sho—”
“Hey. Shoot your shot somewhere else, you pink haired freak.”
A familiar voice made itself known as an arm draped over your shoulders. Kaiser pulled you into his side, acting all protective. “She just got here and you’re already scaring her off.”
“Pink haired freak? We got our tips dyed together, man.”
A short “pffft” comes from Nagi.
“Besides, what gives?” Shidou asks, an eyebrow raised. “You got an arm over her. How’s that any different?”
Oh how you wished your brother would come to your rescue, but he was just sitting there—bickering with Rin again. Jesus. How do they function so well on stage, but they’re like this behind the scenes?
Kaiser scoffs. “I’ve known her even before she could walk, alright?” He sets down the can of beer he was holding on his other hand. “Anyway, I’m heading out to get some more.”
But you swore the beer can was still full with the sound it made when he set it on the table. The reason behind his lie became apparent as soon as he dragged you out of the apartment with him.
“I can’t go out alone, can I?”
Soon as you two were out the door and out of sight of the others, he removed his arm from you. It seared where his warmth lingered. You wanted to ask why he retracted, but that was too much. Kaiser shoved his hands into his pockets and walked a few steps ahead of you.
“How was the party? Had fun?”
“It was okay,” you downplayed. “Met a couple of new people.”
He looked back at you to see what kind of expression you were making. It was rather flat—not what he was expecting. But your outward appearance betrayed the brimming excitement that threatened to burst out your chest.
He sighed before turning to look back at the path in front of him. “Glad you did. Aren’t you forgetting something though?”
“What?”
“I dunno—maybe a ‘thank you’ for helping you out.”
“Usually people don’t ask for anything in return when they do good deeds,” you retort.
“Then what’s saying ‘thank you’ for?”
“It’s for genuine people who don’t smile cocky at you while putting you on the spot.”
— — — — —
Thankfully, the convenience store wasn’t too far away. He pulled the heavy glass door for you—the hinges of which put the doors of a bank to shame with how difficult it is to open. It sure made potential robberies difficult. The cold air of the store hit you in the face causing you to squint.
“Good evening,” says the cashier. He was probably a student at his part-time job. You could tell—not because he was young—but because he looked like he’d rather be anywhere else on the planet than behind the grimey register of the store.
He didn’t even spare you a glance until Kaiser entered the store himself. His eyebrows raised despite his deadpan expression.
“Yo, Kaiser.”
“Hey, Raichi. Working late hours again?” he asked while making his way to the fridge.
Raichi clicks his tongue. “What’s it look like?”
The dryness in his response earned a short chuckle from Kaiser. Raichi grumbles. “Heard you guys had a set today at the freshman party.”
Kaiser surveyed the different brands of beer that stared back at him through the glass of the fridge. “Yeah. Sucks you couldn’t be there.” He opens the fridge, finally having made a decision. Although he pulls out a six-pack of the same brand he was drinking earlier.
He stops and turns to look at Raichi. “This is Yoichi’s little sister, by the way,” he says while pointing to you. Suddenly, you were obliged to wave awkwardly at the other man. The lazy look remained on his face as he nodded at you.
“Knew she looked familiar.”
You were growing concerned with how more and more people were starting to know you only as “Yoichi’s little sister” —that and how Raichi basically implied you looked like your brother.
Kaiser closed the fridge, directing your gaze back to him.
“Why are you getting a single six-pack?”
A look of disbelief crosses his face, paired with an uneasy smirk. “Oh are you a drinker now too? Want a whole pack to yourself or something?”
“No, dumbass. You brought me all the way here so I thought you needed help bringing back stuff.”
He laughed louder than he was supposed to. “Can’t I bring you along as company? Besides, I’d never let you carry shit.”
You only let your gaze follow him as he carried the pack of beer to the register. As the cans made contact with the counter, Raichi had already placed a pack of smokes along with it. Kaiser stiffened, silently telling Raichi with his murderous eyes to put the fucking thing away.
But it was too late.
“Woah. You smoke?”
Raichi makes a look of realization before slowly sliding the box off of the counter. It wasn’t his fault that he had learned Kaiser’s routine like a waiter at a diner learning their patrons’ usual orders.
Kaiser shook his head while pulling out some bills from his wallet. “Psh, nah. It’s just common that when people buy booze—they also buy smokes. Force of habit huh, Rai?”
Kaiser smiled while handing him the money, as if telling him to agree. Raichi sighed, dropping his shoulders. He doesn’t get paid enough for this shit. “Right. My bad, dude.”
It was rather… suspicious. But you thought nothing of it as Raichi shook his head incredulously, scanning the barcode plastered on the plastic wrapping of the six-pack. The cash register slides out with a bit of a hiccup. He grabs a couple of coins and hands the change to Kaiser.
“Thanks, man. Take care. Also, liven up.”
Raichi holds up his middle finger as the two of you make your way out of the store. “Yeah, take care and fuck you too.”
— — — — —
This time he walked beside you. Although, you preferred it when he walked in front of you. Staring at his back was better than feeling his presence way too close like this.
He was unusually quiet. Kaiser wasn’t bugging you or enticing you with a random story—He was just right beside you, walking silently. It only made you more nervous.
But when he spoke, you felt that perhaps his silence was better.
“What do you want to accomplish in your time here?”
That was… deep. Certainly, you’ve never spoken to each other like this before. But it felt as if he finally saw you as an equal—that you were “adult” enough that he could ask such questions to you.
He glances at you, noting your long pause. “I don’t mean boring shit like graduating. None of that. What’s something that you REALLY want to do this time around?”
“I guess…. I want to have fun.”
“No shit. Everyone wants fun. But how do you want to do it?”
He was putting you on the spot again. “I-I don’t know… I just want to do things I normally wouldn’t do without having crippling anxiety. Y’know? Like—like escaping my comfort zone or something.”
It was a shitty answer, you knew. But he nodded his head in acceptance. He halted, resulting in you doing the same. He was looking at you with that smile he had when you found him in your bed yesterday.
“Want me to help you have fun?”
“What do you get out of it?”
“I get to have fun too. Duh.”
If anyone knew how to have fun—you would guess that it was him. His logic didn’t make perfect sense to you, but then again, Michael Kaiser never made sense to you either. It was that mystery that surrounded him that captivated you.
Pursing your lips, you eventually relented despite not knowing what was in store for you. Kaiser’s smile grew wider. “Great. I’ll look forward to making the next 4 years of your life the best you ever had.”
You were glad he started walking in front of you again… otherwise he’d see how hard you were trying to keep a straight face. This man—he was going to be the death of you.

-What are we but a tormented animal?
(Note + ramblin' rant below.)
Quickie cause the pain(tm) and health problem is beating my ass. Probably would do Allred after my trip.
-anyway, Amy and Michael should be explore more dynamic wise. Like I know this is AU stuff but I want to see how their day-to-day life goes (more doodles coming). I can see romance between them but because beforehand they care deeply about eachother (plus their upbringing) but it also can read as queer platonic. Like tbh to them, it doesn't matter if they end up dating or not in their school, they both know they care abt eachother anyway. Ultimately it's also how they find reunion in afterlife. Both trapped and hurted. The solace of comfort they can found is only between eachother.
Yway sorry Amy and Michael need more content <3

Hey, I don't see any post saying requests are closed. Please correct me it I'm wrong, and I'll resend this ask when they're open :)
I saw one of your slasher posts about an new patient who was an omega and I've been wondering how a/b/o au slashers would react to a beta new patient who they saw as their own pup?(basically everyone is a father figure to this kid lol) I love platonic fluff and you're one of the few slasher writers who write platonic stuff and I love your writing, please stay hydrated and have a good day! :D
Tumblr media
Here you go 😁 And thank you.
Freddy Krueger:
Tumblr media
"You and I…we gonna be best buddies."
Freddy is a beta. Meaning: no real dominance or protective instincts.
He’d basically laugh his ass off while you run around and cause havoc or eat popcorn with Pennywise while they watch.
He’d train you in the ways of 'don’t give a toss' and 'get outta my way, bitch'.
Freddy would still protect you if he sees you in real danger, but he’d be the type of cool dad who just wants to chill and walk around in flip flops.
Brahms Heelshire:
Tumblr media
Brahms would be a worry heart.
He’d worry 24/7 about you.
Have you eaten ? Have you drank ? Have you slept well ? Are you hurt ? Do you wanna play ?…
He’d cry his eyes out if he sees a scratch on you and whoever would dare cause you harm would end up beaten up.
Brahms is strong—even though he is an omega. He’d be the one to take care of you and make sure you’re perfectly safe.
Arthur Fleck:
Tumblr media
Arthur would give you the best advice. He’s a beta—but used to be an omega. He’d have the heart without being overemotional about things.
"Don’t worry, things can look up. You just gotta wait and see."
"Be a doll and smile. Smiling will open up many doors for you."
"Do not listen to Freddy, sweetie. He is a bad influence. Matter-of-fact ? Do not listen to anyone else but me and Michael."
He would be your voice of reason in your darkest moments, but don’t ALWAYS listen to him because he is a patient for a reason…
Penny:
Tumblr media
Overpossessive. Overprotective. Overthinking. Overdoing.
Penny would be the embodiment of "over-the-top". Doesn’t have any chill and would bite and scratch if anyone as much as looks at you the wrong way.
He can also read minds…which can be kind of a problem.
Penny *growls at a nurse* : "I DARE you to say what you want to say, coward."
He would also be very playful and play with you all day long. He’s got unending energy and would even put on shows for you.
Michael Myers:
Tumblr media
Michael would be the only responsible one, as the Alpha of the slashers.
He’d make sure to never allow you near his knives or any sharp objects. He’d teach you self-defense. He’d also cook for you and teach you all of his skills (non-lethal)
He would also protect you but, would always use a weapon that won’t be too traumatic for your adorable self…like a baseball batt or a something else to just knock out the person who dared attack your person.
But Myers ? Myers would kill for you.
Myers has no parental instinct or remorse.
He kills because he can.
Father Paul Hill:
Tumblr media
Father Paul—as a Beta—would protect you with his life. He always wanted to be a father and would immediately take you under his wing.
Comparing to other slashers, you could almost call him a pacifist. He would never start a fight. Never.
He would teach you and give you a proper education. He would also take care of you and give you the affection you need.
And if you get hurt ?
He’d protect you—no matter the cost.
Father Paul *covered in blood and crying* : "No…No no no…Not again. Please. Not again."
Patrick Bateman:
Tumblr media
Patrick Bateman would teach you how to kill and get away with murder. He is a Beta himself, but always hated that title because he always saw himself as an Alpha.
He’d explain to you the human anatomy and how to chop off a body in the most efficient and effective way possible.
He would also teach you the ways of society and bureaucracy like no one else could. Patrick is very observant and dangerous. He has no empathy.
Meaning: Make sure he KEEPS liking you.
Patrick *looking at you and wondering if having a kid is worth it and how he’d do it to get rid of you before smiling and locking the thought into a very far away box at the back of his mind*
Vincent Sinclair:
Tumblr media
Vincent is an Omega. He would fight tooth and nail to protect you.
He’d also let you braid his hair and you’d draw together or do some fun artsy activities.
He’d show you how to do pottery and play with clay to make animal shapes or even human-like.
But, Vincent is in therapy and is being closely monitored and watched so he wouldn’t show you how to make wax people.
He would also be very affectionate with you and give you a lot of hugs, unlike Bo who would just pat your head and call it a day.
Jack Torrance:
Tumblr media
"Let’s get takeout." Jack’s favourite sentence.
Jack would be a very lazy and chill kinda dad for a beta. He would take you to movies or read you a book.
He also loves food so…he’d get you pizza or nachos and you’d just settle on the couch with him and do nothing—just chilling.
He’d be the dad you go to when you don’t wanna do anything and you’re tired. He’d also be the type to live in his pajamas and tell you that it’s too early at 1pm.
You would then just sleep or he’d tell you things about his old life if he’s up for it.
He would protect you if you are in danger, but he would make sure that you don’t get into trouble in the first place cause you can’t do no wrong when you’re chilling all day…

Swap AU Part: 2
Adam sat on a rock at the edge of the lake, lazily dipping his feet in the cool water. It had been a few days since Michael first visited him, and ever since then, the angel had made sure to visit him in the garden everyday, and ensured that he took care of himself well enough. It was embarrassing for Adam, to be taken care of like that, but he was thankful for the company since he still didn’t wish to see Lilith and Lucifer. Even the thought of them still hurt him.
.
.
.
.
.
Michael watched the first man nibble silently on the apple he had given him. He clearly didn’t have the appetite to eat despite how sickly he looked. He had hoped that some sunlight, fresh air and food would lighten up the first man. Clearly that wasn’t the case. It was also clear that Adam didn’t wish to tell him what caused this behaviour.
And so, they just sat on the grass in silence. Not an easy silence, but it also wasn’t uncomfortable. It was a silence on mutual understanding. And really, Michael did understand Adam’s silence. Not because he knew why, but because he also preferred to keep some things close to himself. Although, if there were any hints of it being harmful in some way, then of course he would have to intervene. As of now, however, he would respect Adam’s wish for privacy.
“Unless it’s something harmful, you don’t have to tell me why you’re acting this way,” Michael started, turning to face Adam’s forlorn figure. “But you have to promise me that you’ll at least take care of yourself.”
Adam half heartedly nodded at the angel's words as he fiddled with his half eaten apple, having long given up on finishing it. He was relieved that the angel didn’t pry any further, but he didn’t have the energy to be happy about it. Or about anything at all.
Seeing Adam’s response, Michael was convinced that the first man was, in fact, not going to start taking care of himself. He sighed, a little exasperated. Not at Adam, but at his brother, Lucifer. Seriously, what did he do this time? Michael already had so much work to do in Heaven. But then… Lucifer almost never directly asks for help, often trying to fix the problem before anyone ever finds out. Not that it stopped Michael from having to help him out a few times. He was sure he could squeeze some time for this in his already busy schedule. Besides, like Lucifer said, he was already patrolling the garden anyway.
“I’ve decided. I will be visiting everyday until you are well,” Michael declared.
This time, Adam looked up to face Michael. And what he saw were determined blue eyes, that were steadfast in their sincerity. Adam gave a slight smile. He hoped that this wasn’t a lie.
“Alright. I’ll be waiting then.”
.
.
.
.
.
And so, Adam was waiting for Michael’s visit today just as he did yesterday and the day before and so on. The lake had become their daily meeting spot. Adam had chosen the place early on so that the angel didn’t have to look all over the garden for him.
While he waited, Adam played with the water with his feet. Splashing around and at nearby fish, who in turn swam away only to come back again. It felt refreshing. The way that the water that clung to his tanned skin felt cool, and the midday sun warmed up his skin with its light. The birds were singing along with soft rustling of leaves, flowers swaying to Eden’s tune. Echoes of the past ring within his ears. Three sets of laughter in the lake. Loud splashing sounds and squeals of joy. The pitter patter of water droplets as heavy footsteps dragged themselves onto the grass. Back when all three of them still played together. Adam had dragged Lucifer into the water, soaking him from head to toe, his robes drenched and his hat floating away from him. Lilith, though she rarely did, had also joined Adam in his shenanigans, splashing more water onto the surprised angel. It was the three of them on a refreshing day, playing in the water. Now, it was just him and the fish. One particularly curious fish swam close to his legs and stayed there. Its beady eyes focused on Adam as it attempted to splash water back at him.
Adam smiled, “Oh, if only you could talk…”
Droplets fell onto his lap. Despite it all, he missed them, and yet, he couldn’t allow them to be near him. Not right now anyway. He missed the times when they all spent time together, whether it was playing around, singing and playing songs or just talking about the new things they had found in the garden. He missed the days when he lived simply, unburdened by these unpleasant thoughts and feelings.
A slimy feeling on his leg brought Adam out of his thoughts. The fish snuggled up against his leg, eyes looking up at him. At least the animals were always there for him. Adam dipped his hand onto the water, petting the curious fish.
“Sorry I didn’t visit for a while.”
—-
Michael arrived by the lake, just a few feet away from the first man. It had been a few days since he had begun visiting Adam, and while the human was still despondent, he was at least getting better, even just a little. The sight in front of him confirmed that. Yes, he still had that sad look on his face, but he started playing with the animals again. That was a good sign.
Michael walked silently towards the first man, not wishing to burst the bubble of peace that Adam had made for himself. A small smile crept onto his face once he got close enough to see that Adam was talking to and playing with a particularly curious fish. A soft innocence radiating off of him as he spoke to the fish in an affectionate manner.
Unfortunately, Michael had to announce his presence. “Hello Adam.”
At the sound of his voice, the fish quickly swam away back into the deeper part of the lake and Adam brought his hands out of the water, turning to face Michael. The little moment was broken.
“Oh, hi Michael. You’re finally here,” Adam gave a small wave, a soft smile on his face. While he wasn’t particularly close with the angel, and Michael wasn’t as playful as Lucifer, he appreciated the fact that the angel kept his promise of visiting him everyday even if it was just to make sure he took care of himself. Besides, this angel was so different from Lucifer that his innate curiosity couldn’t help but poke its head out. He thought most angels would be like, or at least similar to, Lucifer. Friendly, playful and prone to do tricks. While Michael did look similar to Lucifer, their personalities were quite different. Michael wasn’t particularly talkative or playful and he hadn’t played a trick on Adam yet. That didn’t mean he wasn’t nice though. He was just as nice as Lucifer (and hopefully even nicer). It was just a different kind of niceness. In a more reserved and subtle way. But he could feel it. He could feel it in the way he helped Adam find and pick out food that he could tolerate to eat, or when he would say soothing words that uplifted Adam’s spirits, or when he would answer Adam’s questions earnestly as he told him stories about Heaven from his perspective. Michael was a very kind angel, despite Adam’s initial reluctance of his company.
“How are you today?,” Michael stepped a little closer to Adam, “doing a bit better?”
Adam nodded. He was doing better, even just a bit, thanks to the angel's insistence.
“Did you eat this morning?”
Adam nodded again.
“How about at noon?”
“Um…”
Seeing Adam’s reluctance to answer, Michael gave the first man a scolding look. Not a harsh one, but more akin to an parent who caught their child red handed. A little disappointed, but not angry.
“Ah. Nono,” Adam waved his hands in slight panic, trying to clear the misunderstanding. “Actually, I was waiting for you to join me.” He picked up something from behind the rock, where Michael couldn't clearly see. “I found this interesting fruit, I thought you night want to try.”
Adam proudly presented a pineapple to the angel. It wasn't an easy fruit to get, its skin being firm and rough to the touch, and he needed something sharp to cut off its stem. With enough effort though, he managed to get one to share with Michael.
It was a curious looking plant, Michael had to admit. Relatively large and heavy. Its skin appeared to be tough. Its leaves waxy and prickly. Was it even edible? If he didn't know any better, he'd say it was some sort of weapon. An odd organic weapon. Definitely a curious looking fruit, and at the moment, he was a curious angel.
There was no need for angel's to eat, but there was also no harm in eating. So, Michael thought he might as well indulge Adam, if that would make him happier. Plus, he did want to try the fruit. It was a double win situation.
“Well, if you don't mind me joining you…”
Adam noticeably brightened up at Michael's response. He always liked to share and try new things with someone. Adam scooched over and eagerly patted the space beside him, urging the angel to sit beside him. And so, Michael did, though he had to be careful not to accidentally push the human into the water with his wings. The bulk of six wings suddenly became rather inconvenient.
Using a sharpened rock, Adam began slicing off the pineapple's tough skin, revealing the juicy yellow fruit inside. Then, he began cutting the yellow part into smaller bite size pieces. Once done, he placed the cut fruit pieces onto a cleaned banana leaf he had prepared earlier, before presenting the prepared fruit to Michael, clearly pleased with himself and his skills.
“Here, here, have some!” Adam stared wide-eyed at Michael, anticipating for him to have the first bite.
And so, Michael did. He grabbed a piece between his fingers before popping them into his mouth. It was soft, with some crunch to it, and very juicy. The juice from the slice burst across his tongue, leaving a sweet flavour and an odd tingling sensation. It was unlike anything he had before. Without thinking, his hand reached out for another piece.
“So, do you like it?,” Adam asked before grabbing a piece himself. He liked sharing meals with others, and was secretly hoping that if Michael liked it enough, then he would join for more in the future. It was his way avoiding loneliness and some sort of return to how he used to spend time in the garden. Luckily for Adam, the angel seemed to like it, grabbing a piece one after the other. Clearly enjoying the refreshing sweetness of the fruit.
Michael nodded, pleasantly surprised by the sweet flavour of the fruit. Coupled with warm sunny’s rays and the cool breeze that danced across the lake. The gentle swaying of leaves, the peaceful songs of critters living their lives. Michael had never fully appreciated the garden. He visited the garden, did his routine patrols, and then left, never spending any more time than necessary. Sure, he saw the beauty in it, but he only truly realised why it was called paradise. It was perfection unlike Heaven. Where Heaven was pristine, organised and radiant in its beauty, Eden was akin to freeing wildness, a warm and organic perfection. What he initially thought of as another favour for Lucifer had turned out to be one of the more delightful things he got to do as of today.
Adam watched the angel enjoy the pineapple, one hand resting on his cheek. It was a little shocking for the first man. To see the normally cool and reserved angel obviously delighted with newfound sensations. It reminded him of when he used to find new things together with Lilith and Lucifer. He could go find them now, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to see their faces yet. That, and it had become obvious to him now that they preferred to be together without Adam, if them missing or being too busy to spend time with him were any indication. Besides, Michael was good company. He just hoped he would stay.

In the Middle of the Night
Slytherin!nicholas x hufflepuff!fem!reader
• You 'followed' Nicholas in the middle of the night just to steal a 'look' at him, but you got caught by him...
• Warnings : Suggestive content, make out, a little insult, finger sucking, Leads to smut, PDA, grammar error, etc...
• A/N : Fuck, I'm completely obsessed with Hogwarts AU, especially Nicholas being a Slytherin ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
Maybe dreaming of dating a rich and handsome wizard but your status is not equal to him is just like a fairy tale. Yes, that's what Hannah said when you told her that you had a big crush on Wang Yixiang, or often called Nicholas, his English name.
Nicholas is the main heir of the Wang family, a pure-blood wizarding family that originally came from Taiwan, but moved to England in the ninth generation. The Wang family originally attended one of the prestigious magic schools on the Asian continent, but when the ninth generation moved to England and changed their citizenship, they automatically received an invitation to admission from Hogwarts. As a result, since the ninth generation, they have continued to attend Hogwarts.
Being the main heir to the Wang family made Nicholas enter the circle of popular guys, he was on par with Draco Malfoy. Many girls expect him to be their boyfriend, either because they genuinely like him or just want to build a family connection.
Nicholas is also known to be a bit of a brat and has quite a high temper, he sometimes gets into fights with some of the students who he says really bother him. However, somehow he managed to become a prefect even though he often caused problems. Maybe because of his smart brain.
Himself being the one that girls desire makes him become a playboy. Aka dating lots of girls. Any girl would bend the knee to him just to be with him.
And you? You do like him-no, you love him. You've had that feeling since your first year at Hogwarts. You were fascinated by his charisma and arrogant face. Typical Slytherin. However, you never had the chance to talk or get to know him better. Because of what? Because of the difference in status. Yes, you and he do have the same blood status, both are pure blood, but you are not equal to him in terms of wealth status. You were born into a middle class family. Meanwhile, Nicholas was born into an upper class family, almost aristocratic.
There were rumors that his type was like Selene Black, Regulus Black's only daughter. When you heard the rumors, you felt weak and seemed to be aware of the fact that you and him really couldn't be together.
However, that can't erase your feelings of love for him. You always secretly follow and watch him from a distance, watching all his movements like a stalker. Sometimes with a glimmer of hope that he will be able to love you even if it's only a one percent chance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At midnight, you secretly left your dorm to do something 'routine' on someone's patrol schedule. Nicholas' schedule. Yeah, Nicholas is the Slytherin prefect and this time it's his time to go on patrol.
You slowly walked down the Hufflepuff stairs after closing the house door and immediately walked to look for Nicholas. You tightened your robe because you were only wearing a short nightgown that was quite thin.
You turned down several alleys, but didn't find that Asian man. In fact, you were almost caught by several other prefects who were on patrol. You decided to walk towards the library.
A smile immediately spread across your face when you saw Nicholas talking to Michael Corner, you hid behind the wall and of course peeked. Even though the lighting around you is minimal, you can still see Nicholas' handsome, serious face. His thick, red lips moved seriously as he discussed some of the students who broke the rules tonight with Michael.
When Nicholas finished his conversation with Michael, he walked over to where you were hiding. You hurriedly hid your face before he caught you. He passed you without knowing where you were behind the wall, because he was walking straight.
You slowly followed him with light steps, hoping not to trip over anything due to the lack of lighting around the hallway.
As he turned towards the Slytherin house, he suddenly stopped in his tracks, making you hold your breath. Before you rush to hide, a deep voice immediately makes you feel like you're going to faint and startle. "Stop being a stalker, Miss Hufflepuff," you were in shock and of course you realized that Nicholas knew you were around him.
Nicholas turned around and he could see you clearly. He grinned and was about to approach you. Of course you immediately ran fast enough to avoid it, but unfortunately. Because his legs are longer than yours, he can catch you easily. He held your wrist tightly.
"Ah, got it," Nicholas chuckled and gave you a mocking look. Making you shiver in fear. "Nicholas please forgive me, I didn't mean it like this. I have no evil intentions towards you. I—"
""Being a stalker is considered evil, Miss Hufflepuff," Nicholas cut you off, he seemed to like seeing you scared. It's like there's satisfaction in itself. "I'm really sorry, I just—"
A clear step was heard, making Nicholas cover your mouth and take you to another hallway to avoid the person who was walking towards where you and he were standing before.
Nicholas pinned you against the wall, a mocking grin completely etched on his face. He placed his left arm on top of your head, stroking your hair playfully. Meanwhile, you are already hit by fear and tension. "Aren't you tired of being a stalker? That's the lowest and scariest way, you know," Nicholas insulted you quite sharply, you squeezed your robe, not daring to look at his face.
Nicholas forced you to look at his face. "Don't think I didn't know you were a stalker all this time. Luckily, I didn't curse you because you dared to have bad intentions towards me," You immediately shook your head and looked at Nicholas with pleading eyes. "I have no ill will towards you, Nicholas. Absolutely—"
"Oh wow, you dare call my name?" Nicholas cut you off again. “You really are too obsessed with me, miss. Aren't you aware of your middle class status? We are not equal, but you dare to be my stalker," He continued, which finally made you shed tears because you were too scared and hurt. Nicholas released your face from his hands, his hand suddenly moved to hold your left fingers.
A few seconds later, your cry was changed to shock again because Nicholas pulled your finger to his mouth. You immediately had serious goosebumps but your body couldn't fight it.
His wet mouth gently nuzzles your index finger, his tongue playing sexily there. Your fingers are wet with his saliva. It's crazy, but it's the sexiest scene you've ever seen.
Satisfied with playing with your index finger, Nicholas pulled it from his mouth. He could see your breath was short and your face was red. Your eyes were so glazed, and he looked at it with a look of...adoration (?)
Suddenly he pushed your wet finger into your mouth. "Suck it," You immediately didn't disobey him and sucked your finger like he did earlier. Nicholas felt a rush of heat seeing how beautiful you were doing what he said. Your lips stretching over your finger made a lust build within Nicholas.
Lust that coincides with a sense of overprotectiveness. He doesn't know much about you anymore, but he wants you only for him. He doesn't want to waste a girl as perfect as you.
"Fuck!" Nicholas pulled your finger from your mouth, then immediately pressed his lips to yours. Kissing you was rushed and full of heat as if you were going to leave him.
At first, you were very shocked but after a few seconds you were lulled by his sweet kisses. You put your arms around his neck and shoulders, occasionally squeezing and pulling his hair gently. Nicholas took off his robe, letting it fall down. He also pulled his tie tightly until it came loose and slowly opened the top few buttons of his white shirt.
His kisses became increasingly heated, making the oxygen you felt become increasingly thin. However, you couldn't deny that the play of his tongue coiling with yours was very intoxicating.
Nicholas brought your right hand inside his shirt, asking you to caress his firm and quite muscular chest. Of course you can't refuse. Isn't this what you want?
Feeling you were running out of oxygen, Nicholas immediately pulled himself away from you. He could see your face flushed, your chest rising and falling from panting, but your right hand was still in his shirt.
Not giving you much pause, Nicholas lowered the robe you were wearing, and now he could clearly see your body which was only clad in a fairly thin nightgown. He gulped at the sight before him. Your tits and satin panties were almost visible enough.
Nicholas immediately connected his lips to your smooth neck, he squeezed your waist tightly. One of his hands lifted your thigh to his hip area. Makes you stick to him even more. Without shame, you moan his name in a regular rhythm. Pressing the nape of his neck to deepen the action on your neck.
Nicholas licks, sucks and bites your neck area, causing red marks. His naughty hands also squeeze your buttocks, he growls softly feeling how hot his body is and the part beneath him feels increasingly narrow asking to be freed.
He pulled away from you, wiping his lips with the back of his hand, he smiled mischievously at the red marks he carved into your skin. Nicholas held your neck gently, to maintain eye contact with him, he didn't want your beautiful eyes to look at him. "Let's go to my room, I need you, Miss Hufflepuff," His hoarse voice makes your body move as if he is commanding you. As a result, you just nodded in response.
He smiled with satisfaction, picked up both of your robes and then immediately carried you to his private dormitory to complete the thing he really wanted from you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
// Morning Breakfast Hours //
Everyone in the great hall was just shocked to see something they weren't used to seeing, and it made you uncomfortable. Oh of course they were shocked, they saw clearly how Nicholas was beside you looking like someone who was lovesick. And this was the first time Nicholas looked like he was lovesick. And it was on a girl they didn't expect. You.
Nicholas has been looking at you like crazy all this time, he didn't even touch his breakfast. Occasionally his fingers brush your hair or move to your fingers where in some places there is his ring. Sometimes, he still forces you to sit on his lap which you immediately refuse.
Your best friend Hannah couldn't even move when you told her that you were Nicholas' girlfriend now. She actually got a little goosebumps when he saw Nicholas looking so obsessed with you. She's afraid you're just being played by him.
"Y/N! You darned scoundrel, how could you snatch Nicho from me?!" A scream immediately shocked the entire hall. Hearing your name shouted like that, you immediately looked at the person who shouted at you like that. It turned out to be Samantha Xoviz. She is one of Nicholas' former lovers who is still very obsessed with Nicholas.
Seeing Samantha take out her wand and seem to be going to put a chaotic spell on you, Nicholas immediately moved faster. "DEPULSO!" Samantha was thrown quite far before she cast a spell on you, you were quite shocked by Nicholas' heavy spell attack.
Nicholas walked quickly towards Samatha, his eyes flashing with anger. He looks like he's going to 'harm' Samantha. "You blasted thing, how could you even think of laying a finger on my princess?!" Before Nicholas grabbed Samantha, Snape first pushed Mattheo hard away from Samantha who was in pain.
"To my study now, Mr. Wang!" Snape glared at Nicholas. "Oh you're going to give me detention because I defended my girl who almost got hurt? Use your brain! If I don't move quickly then my girl will be the one who gets hurt!" Snape glared when Nicholas acted impolitely towards him.
"Come to my study in five minutes or I will withdraw 50 percent of Slytherin's points?!" Snape threatened sharply. He ordered several students to take Samantha to Hospital Wings for treatment.
Snape left the great hall to go straight to his study. He would wait for Nicholas there. "Fuck!" Nicholas snapped harshly and ruffled his hair.
Nicholas looked at you who also looked shocked by what you saw earlier. He approached you and kissed your forehead lightly. "No one will try to hurt you again after this," he said softly as he removed his kiss from your forehead. He glanced at Pansy. "While I'm in detention, please pay attention to my girl, don't let anyone find trouble with her or your fate will be worse than Samantha's," Pansy nodded quickly to what Nicholas wanted, she didn't want to get into trouble.
Nicholas kissed your lips briefly before finally going to Severus Snape's study. He already knew he would end up getting detention, and that made you feel really bad for him.
However, you are also increasingly convinced that he is not playing with you and is not just lusting after your body. He really sincerely loves you. The look in his eyes strengthened the fact that he also really loved you.
"I love you, Yixiang,"

Summary: Broken hearts are hard to put back together. 8 years ago, Dean lost something he didn’t even know he had in the first place. Will he get a second chance?
Pairing: former AU!Dean Winchester x fem!Reader
Warnings: angst, language, past break-up, arguments, daddy Dean
A/N: This was an alternative idea for the first chapter of my Bucky story: Monster-in-law masterlist. I decided to use it for a story with Dean.

“That’s delicious,” Dean tries to break the awkward silence during dinner. He compliments the dessert you ordered but doesn’t look very happy. “Now that I tried British food, I must say it ain’t as bad as I thought.”
You watch Dean poke the pie you ordered. He makes a face before taking another bite. Dean almost chokes. He scrunches up his nose when sniffing at the mince pie.
“I can see that,” you grin. If not for all the chaos Dean caused over the last hours, you’d laugh because he looks adorable while forcing the unloved food down his throat. “It’s mince pie.”
“Mince pie,” Dean retches. He can’t get the awful taste out of his mouth. Not even after he drank his beer and a glass of water. “It’s…”
“We eat it for Christmas,” Michael grins. “Mommy thought it would be nice to order it for you. She said you love pie.” You pat your son’s head. He enjoys the struggle on Dean’s face as much as you do.
“Your mother is very,” Dean narrows his eyes at you, “nice. How very kind of her to order the most delicious pie I ever ate.”
“You can have another slice,” you point at the pie to tease Dean. “We have more than enough. I’m not much of a fan of pie.”
“No, thanks,” Dean rubs his grumbling stomach. “I’m full. I can’t eat more.”
“You barely ate anything,” Sam points out. “Don’t wake me in the middle of the night because you want to sneak into the kitchen to get more food. I know your stomach.”
“Shut up…” Dean grumbles and whispers ‘bitch’ under his breath. “I’m not very hungry today.”
“Dean Winchester is not hungry?” You cock a brow, pretending to not know about his aversion to the pie you bought. “I see, wonders do happen.”
Dean pouts and looks away. He won’t fall for your trap. “I do not eat all the time, sweetheart. Sometimes a man gotta work or clean his car.”
You wince at the pet name you tried to forget about. Dean does the same. It was a slip of the tongue, not meant to hurt you. “Cleaning your car is not work for you, Winchester. You love that car more than anything.”
“Not more than you—” Dean’s eyes widen at his words. He suddenly gets up and leaves the room, cursing himself once again. How could he just say something like that? After all, he’s done within the last hours.
“That was…” Sam clears his throat. He awkwardly looks at you, wondering if you are ever madder at his brother now. “Sometimes Dean speaks before he thinks. You must excuse him. It was a rough week. From mother revealing her role in your breakup to meeting his son.”
“Sam,” your features soften. You know Sam tries to help his brother out. Of course, he does. Sam loves his brother and would do anything to make Dean happy. The problem is things aren’t so easy.
“I know,” he says and glances at Michael. “Maybe you should…” Sam shakes his head. “I don’t know. I’d love to help you, though.”
“Mommy, can I meet my cousins? I wanna talk about cars with them,” Michael pouts. “Please. They sound so cool.”
“Michael, we will talk about this another time. It’s bedtime, okay,” you try to avoid thinking about meeting Sam’s children. If you get involved with Dean’s family, things will get even more complicated.
“Your mom is right, Michael. We can talk about this another time. You should get ready for bed, bud.”
Sam’s dad skills are showing when he tries to distract your son from the chaos his brother caused by coming here.
“Okay,” Michael yawns. “I’m going to brush my teeth. Can you check on my pillow before I sleep, Mommy?”
“I’ll fluff your pillow, baby boy,” you smile at your son. He had a lot to stomach too. From the Winchesters invading your home, over Dean’s fight with Ketch and the revelation that Dean is his father.
Tumblr media
You step inside the living room, taking a deep breath. While putting your son to sleep you had the time to think about a few things and came up with an idea.
“I had time to think about a few things,” you say. “Michael wants to get to know his cousins.” You lick your lips. “I need to talk to Bobby about a job offer he made some months ago. I need a new job so…”
“You want to go to the States?” Dean questions. “Do you want to move back for the job or…just visit?”
“Dean, I hate it when someone interrupts my speech,” you snap at Dean. “After I talked to Bobby, and Michael had the chance to meet his cousins, I have to take care of a few more things.”
“What else do you want to take care of?” Dean swallows thickly when you sit next to him. You look at your hands, sighing deeply. “Y/N?”
“We could’ve been happy, don’t you think?” You suddenly ask. Dean is taken aback and doesn’t know what to say. “At least that’s what I told myself years ago.”
“I think so,” he murmurs. “I mean…you know me. I’m a mess and fuck things up sometimes.”
You snort. “Sometimes, Winchester?”
“Hey, I had my moments too,” he grunts. “For a while, I made you happy.”
“You did,” you pat his thigh. “I’ll book a flight for me and Michael tomorrow. Before we go back to Kansas I need you to know that I’ll confront your mother. She manipulated our relationship.”
“Y/N…”
“Don’t think for one moment that you are forgiven. It was still your decision to not look for me but,” you squeeze his thigh this time, “if your mother didn’t intervene, we could’ve talked things out.”

IMMA WRITE SOME FANFICS!
So imma try and write some more fanfictions soon. Attempt is the correct word becuse my ADHD is a bitch. But I was wondering which of my Au's you'd like to see written about first. Imma share the ones I like the most below and if you guys have a specific interest in one, please Comment the ones you'd like to see. I'll set up a Pole to have people vote on based on which Au's have the most people interested and work from there.
Now for the aus, I'll write the name of the au and description so you know what I'm talking about.
1) Taking What Is Forbidden (Continuation)
I already wrote two chapters for this but I have a few ideas I could expand on after, but in summery, An Eden au where Adam eats the apple of knowledge on purpose to find a way to make Lucifer fall in love with him, (or straight up force his angel in to isolation with him) resulting in them both falling. Heavily implied Yandere Demon King Adam vibes.
2) Operation Replace Lilith AU
Adam dies and goes back in time to the day he was created and has the brilliant idea of seducing Lucifer in order to get Lucifer to take him to hell Instead of Lilith, and not have the same death he had in his last life (Lucifer beating the shit out of him and then being stabbed by Nifty.) Too bad he's bad at flirting and Lucifer is accidently great at it. And now he may have to accept the fact he's not so straight.
3) Paradise Found au
Michael and Lucifer switch roles, and Michael ends up going to hell with Lilith, while Adam, after his death, ends up married to Lucifer in heaven since Lilith was sent to purgatory. He's still an exterminator in this time lone and Lucifer is part of the High Angelic Council. They have two daughters (Lute and Charlie) who are both working along side them and they have found their happy ending... Till Emily, the daughter of Michael and Lilith shows up with her plans for "redemption" and Charlie's missing girlfriend. Then everything the two built falls apart in ways they can't control.
4) Lucifers Labyrinth AU
Adam is a single dad of 4 kids who are very irritated at him when he misses a big school event. After a big argument, one of the kids make a wish that end up sending the four kids and Adam to the demon realm. The king of the realm, Lucifer, makes a deal with Adam that if he can make it to the center of Lucifers very very large labyrinth and get his kids to forgive him, he will let Adam take them home. But if he fails, he and the kids would be trapped in the Demon Realm forever. Turns out, Lucifer just had a crush on Adam and wants to convince him to stay willingly but doesn't understand humans well.
5) Charlie is The DM Au (Multiple Ships in this)
Basicly, Sinner Adam, Lucifer, Vaggie, Husk, and Angel play DND with Charlie as a bonding exercise every week. They each have their own characters and get to tell a fun story full of weird interactions and funny dialogue, but all while telling a good story that helps them with their real life problems in hell too. Alastor joins soon to cause even more problems in game. (May actually make Character sheets for everyone to share in case you like them)
6) Mafia Bodyguard Au
Another Single father Adam au, where Adam is struggling with a group of kids (under the age of 10k after his wife Eve died. He is Ex military and is too filled with PTSD and stress to figure out how to survive as he is. Luckily his ex wife, Lilith, comes to see him at a bar and offer him a job working for her second Ex husband as a bodyguard to their child, Charlie. In doing so he'd get free housing, schooling, medical increase, food, and even a fully bullet proof car. All Adam has to do is work for the Morningstar Mafia. Oh, by the way, her ex husband is the leader of said Mafia. Adam accepts for his kids sake, and shit goes crazy from there
7) She's Just a Baby Au
(also known as I'm Just A Man Au)
During the war between Heaven and hell, Adam is told by Sera that Lucifer and Lilith had created a nephilim. An abomination that, according to the higher angels, will spell misfortune for Heaven and Hell, and sends Adam on a secret mission to destroy this monster. When Adam gets there during a battle outside of Lucifers castle, he finds the monster in question and realizes it's just a baby, a demon like baby, but still a baby. He tries to bring himself to kill her and can't, and instead protects her till Lucifer comes back. Lilith dies in the battle sadly, so now Charlie only has her father. But Adam, now breaking heavens orders a second time, knows he can't go back. So Lucifer lets him stay. The two raise charlie together.
8) Testing Love Potions Au (One Shot)
Velvette was making a love potion in her office during an extermination, only for Adam to slam in to her office, preparing to killed her. To defend herself, Velvette broke his mask and hit him in the face with a love potion. And before he can open his eyes, she escapes. Adam sees Lucifer on a billboard and instantly is stricken with love. Chaos happens. And Lucifer is VERY confused. Especially since his wife just left him last year to go to heaven.
So please do tell me your opinions! Tell me which ones you'd like to read first! I hope to do all of them, but I gotta start so where!

Supernatural
Pairings: Gabriel x Reader

_________
You stood looking at Raphael’s now dead body as the sprinklers in the parlor began to go off. With a groan, you looked up to Sam who shook his head as the water poured down on your heads.
“Haven’t we been through enough?”
Sam asked, shoving his now wet hair out of his face as Amelia stared up at the water falling down on her face. You, meanwhile, turned and walked across the room to pick up your angel blade that had fallen on the floor. As much as you wanted to, internally, celebrate Raphael’s grizzly demise…you couldn’t. Not only had Amelia witnessed it but you would have to explain this one to Gabriel. You weren’t 100% sure how he would take this but you were totally positive that he wouldn’t be happy.
“Well, isn’t this special?”
You murmured before turning back to Sam. Amelia came over to hold your hand with a scrunched-up face. Whether it be the innocent comment in the face of horrific darkness or it just being funny, both Sam and yourself laughed.
“Yuck, I’m all wet.”
You lovingly stroked your niece’s face.
“We should go home.”
Arriving back at the bunker, Sam reached out to grab your hand before you opened the door.
“Let’s not blurt it out about Raphael dying. We should probably ease into it.”
You nodded.
“Maybe ask them to play twenty questions? Like the first one will be why we are all soaking wet…Sam, you know that I’m a blurter.”
Sam rolled his eyes.
Sam: “Try to be different today. I know that you have unofficially declared war on Gabriel and Dean but this is big.”
You had to agree with that one. Killing an archangel was beyond big. This had to be your “biggest accomplishment” to date. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an accomplishment that you were presently proud of.
“Yeah, you’re right. Well, let's get this over with.”
You pushed the door open and walked inside. As you suspected, the moment that you walked in soaking wet, Gabriel and Dean automatically stood up. Dean looked totally confused as to why you were dripping wet, Sam’s hair was totally stuck to his head, and Amelia sat down to wring out her socks.
“So…why are you all wet? It's not raining outside?”
Gabriel moved to come to you but you stepped away. As much as you wanted nothing more than to crawl on his lap and let him comfort you…that wasn’t about to happen. You had to “face the music” first. Something told you that once you blabbed about just what your trip to the ice cream entailed…cuddling wasn’t going to happen.
“Don’t ask questions that you don’t want the answer to.”
You replied as you tried to squeeze water out of your hair. Dean raised an eyebrow and turned to Gabriel. If he couldn’t get through to you then no one could.
Gabriel was wary of whether or not to open his mouth. After the argument the two of you had, he knew that you weren’t very happy with him. Sure, you would come around and “makeup” with him soon enough but that didn’t help the situation now (when you were still clearly angry with him).
“Sugar…what happened?”
Gabriel finally asked. You took a breath as Sam started shaking his head.
“Oh, Raphael tried to kill us all…just another day.”
Gabriel’s mouth dropped. Had he heard you correctly? Every fiber in his being, whether it be archangel or soul mate, was going crazy. Did you really just say that Raphael had tried to kill you and he wasn’t there to protect you?
“WHAT?”
Dean and Gabriel both shouted at the same time. Before you could open your mouth, Gabriel was in front of you clearly looking for any kind of injuries.
“I’m okay.”
You said softly. Gabriel looked beyond ready to unravel a sweater. You had never seen a more petrified expression on your lover’s face. The cocky attitude that you had left and come home with was rapidly beginning to fade. Now you were left with an exhausted and “blah” feeling.
“Is she okay?”
Dean snapped in Gabriel’s direction as he did the same thing to Sam and Amelia. Gabriel was silent as he looked into your eyes. The expression on his face made it impossible for you to look away. Now was the time that you were again ready to curl up against him and never move.
“She’s fine but I want to know what happened and where is my brother?”
Gabriel was ready to kill Raphael. There would be no forgiving him for this. Even though Gabriel knew that his brothers would launch an attack on you some time; he didn’t think that it would be today. Gabriel found himself wishing that he had never upset you earlier. If he had never brought up leaving to play “I spy” with his brothers then you would never have left the bunker in a fit of rage.
You were quiet a moment longer as Gabriel gently stroked his thumbs over your cheek.
“You won’t find him.”
You finally replied. Gabriel raised an eyebrow. He was tethering between being the concerned lover or losing his ever-loving mind. How he had been able to keep a grip on his temper was still an amazement.
“And why is that, love?”
You groaned. It was the moment of truth. Your attention turned to your niece who was looking at you innocently. Once again, you found your heart aching. You didn’t want Amelia to know what the “family business” was for A LONG time. If it were up to you, Amelia would be able to have a normal childhood without the emotional complications that you grew up with. Unfortunately, it looked like that would not be the case.
Maybe I can stop one bad thing from happening…
You turned back to Amelia with a gentle smile.
“Uh hold on, Amelia, go change your clothes and find Jack.”
The little girl quickly left the room. You waited until you were positive that hse was out of earshot before turning back to your very angry-looking soul mate. Gabriel had his arms crossed over his chest and looked more “archangel” like than ever. You slightly winced before taking a breath.
“Raphael is dead.”
Both Gabriel and Dean’s mouths dropped. Gabriel was the first to be able to even utter a word. Dean moved to sit on the couch. What he was hearing was making him want to faint. How could he have been able to live with himself if something had happened to you? If something happened to Sam, Amelia, for yourself…Dean would never have been able to function ever again. He would have personally gone to Michael and let the archangel “off” him.
“How?”
You were quiet again for a moment. Gabriel, meanwhile, was ready to scream. He wasn’t really “hurt” by the thought of losing Raphael. His brother had pushed him past the point of ever forgiving him. The moment that Raphael threatened you was the moment that Gabriel had no further use for his older brother.
“Y/n, answer the question.”
Gabriel added. You bit your lip before taking a breath. Something told you that you should be proud of yourself. While the whole ordeal was a mess, you still killed Raphael. This task proved not only were you a good hunter but you were on the same level as your brothers. You weren’t some weakling or “little girl” that needed her boyfriend to look after her.
“I shot him with the gun that Dean gave me. Those angel-killing bullets worked.”
Dean’s mouth fell and he moved to just lie flat on his back. While he was proud to hear his perfectly crafted little bullets were able to serve a purpose…he wasn’t totally prepared that you were the one that tested them.
Gabriel stood motionless. He didn’t even say anything for a moment. Had he heard you correctly? Surly his hearing was failing him in some weird way.
“Please tell me that you are joking.”
Gabriel managed to say before putting a hand over his face. Some guardian he was. He had been so irritated with you that he hadn’t even been fully keeping you safe. His thoughts of you being a handful returned yet again.
You shook your head.
“No, Raphael and a bunch of his pals attacked us and he got what was coming to him. Now you don’t have to go off after all…”
You gave Gabriel a frown before turning and going to your bedroom without another word.
When you were out of the room, Gabriel and Dean both turned to Sam.
“Is she telling the truth?”
Dean asked.
“Or is she totally just screwing with us because we ticked her off earlier and you, for whatever reason, decided to play along with it?”
Sam rolled his eyes.
“It's not a joke. We weren’t looking for them. They came to us. Raphael went after her and she shot him.”
Gabriel turned and instantly went after you. He didn’t want to hear anymore. If he heard much else, he would have gone into either a full-blown panic or rage. While he was thankful that Raphael was dead, Gabriel knew that Michael would be livid when he realized what had happened. This was just putting a bigger prize on your head and he couldn’t stand it.
Stepping into the bedroom, Gabriel sighed looking at you. You had your back to him and were busy taking off your soaked bra.
“I suppose you want more information.”
You said after a few seconds. When Gabriel didn’t respond, you turned to face him. You had never seen him look more upset. This was worse than when Michael stood in the middle of the road to make a go at you.
“I am horrified to realize just how close I came to losing you today. I haven’t spent all of this time looking after you and loving you to lose you…and I wouldn’t have been there to save you.”
You didn’t move to say anything immediately. In fact, you wanted Gabriel to know that you did value his feelings. In addition to giving him some comfort in knowing that you didn’t just go after Raphael for shits and giggles.
“I’m okay though, Gabe. I swear to you, I didn’t go after him. I wouldn’t have just gone after him to prove you wrong. When he stepped out of that booth, I had to do something.”
Gabriel stood silently for a moment before pulling you against him. You wrapped your arms around your lover’s shoulders before pressing your forehead against his.
“It could have gone badly.”
Gabriel replied. Putting a hand on your cheek, he breathed your scent in while trying not to think of you dying. While Gabriel didn’t think much of his father anymore, he could only hope that God wouldn’t have paired you as his soul mate only to watch you die. What kind of lesson would that have taught Gabriel? The best that he could think of was unreasonable cruelty.
“But it didn’t.”
You said softly, hoping to comfort Gabriel in someway. It was no secret to you that he was going through every horrible experience that he ever had with Raphael. You knew there were so many events in history Gabriel lived through that you had no clue on. However, something told you that the turmoil going through his mind at the moment was possibly one of Gabriel’s worst moments.
Gabriel tilted your face to his for a kiss. All of the stubbornness left your mind and you were more than happy to enjoy each kiss that he offered.
“It could have.”
Gabriel murmured against your mouth. Stroking a hand up his back, you hovered over where his wings would be. When Gabriel moaned against your mouth, you knew that you had your lover exactly where you wanted him.
“I’ll be careful, love.”
Gabriel gently backed you to the bed before pulling you down with him. The two of you were quiet for a moment. You quietly ran your fingers over Gabriel’s hand. Without him saying a word, you knew that he was still upset. Taking a moment longer, you wiggled your way on top of him.
“Its not that I don’t think you are a capable hunter, Y/n. I know you are. Taking Raphael out only proves it even more. However, do you realize that this will put an even bigger target on us now, don’t you? Michael won’t let this go easily. If we had to be careful before, we have to do so even more. He will be after both of us. I don’t think that you exactly realize how dangerous this is, sugar.”
You lay in silence stroking your fingers over the expanse of Gabriel’s chest and stomach.
“I did actually think about that. That is why I don’t want you out spying on him. I want you with me…where you’re supposed to be. I wish Michael would just suck an egg and leave us alone.”
Gabriel chuckled at that.
“Michael doesn’t know what to do when he isn’t controlling a situation…as you can clearly see. Now, as far as us, I will try my best to stay here. Y/n, you're a hunter. You know that there are times when we all have to do things that we don’t want to. I want nothing more than to be with you all of the time but I have a job to do too. I will, however, promise that I will be as careful as I can. Don’t forget I have a lot of Michael’s tricks memorized. Now, I want to kiss every inch of your body…”
A few hours later…
You quietly snuck out of your room for a drink of water. Glancing at the clock, you were relieved to see a late hour. The last thing that you wanted was to run into Dean with all of the love bites on your neck that Gabriel had left. As you walked quietly through the hallways, you muttered a quick thank you to Chuck for makeup.
Stepping into the kitchen, you were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t notice Chuck sitting at the table. He grinned the moment that he saw you.
“You’re welcome.”
You stopped dead in your tracks before turning to face Chuck. Your eyes widened before clutching your silk robe together.
“Damn it, Chuck! Do you just sneak up on people? What the hell?”
Chuck shrugged innocently before taking in your appearance. You were always such a nice thing to look at. Tonight, however, Chuck could clearly see what you were up to for the past few hours.
“I see Gabriel is enjoying himself with you.”
You blushed, crossing your legs. The last thing that you wanted was for Chuck to see any sign of Gabriel’s come dripping down your legs.
“I did not need to know that.”
Chuck quickly squeaked. You blushed before crossing your arms over your chest.
“Maybe stop reading my mind without my consent and you won’t hear things that will make your cringe. What can I say? Your son has an insatiable sex drive and I do well at keeping up.”
Chuck’s mouth dropped.
“Okay okay! We can stop this conversation.”
You gave Chuck a cocky smirk.
“Figured as much. So what do we owe the pleasure of your presence? We haven’t heard from you in…in well years.”
Chuck nodded.
“Sorry, I have been away. I heard about Raphael.”
You winced. If this was what Chuck had come for then you knew that you were in for one hell of a tongue lashing.
“Yeah, well…sorry about capping your son. I can assure you, he was totally stunned when I pulled a gun on him”
Chuck blinked.
“I mean, he kind of asked for it. No harm no foul.”
You stood looking at Chuck stupidly. Had he really said “no harm, no foul” over you killing his son.
“I expected some kind of anger…or something…”
Chuck giggled.
“Well, I’m not here for that. I’m actually here to talk to you about something else. Anyhow, how are things with Gabriel and yourself? I have sensed a lot of angst from the two of you.”
You began to twirl a strand of hair around your finger. Was Chuck really here for gossip?
“We’re fine now…I suppose. All of this with your other thugged out archangel’s is causing some chaos. Maybe you can miracle your way over to Michael and tell him to go fuck off. He is on this ego trip about you making me Gabriel’s soul mate. He seems to think that we are going to go create a nephilim or something.”
You considered telling Chuck to go fuck himself because thanks to his rules you could never have a child. How were you supposed to tell Chuck that “his choices” were what seemed to be driving a wedge between the two of you?
“Easier said than done. You’re doing great with Jack.”
You frowned at Chuck’s response.
“Yeah, well, he’s not ours and he tends to do well. Maybe you should tell Jack that. After all, you haven’t met your grandson. You’re missing out.”
You turned to get yourself a cup of tea while wondering just where Gabriel was. He would be “thrilled” to see the father that abandoned him. You mentally told yourself that might not be such a good idea, after all. The last thing that you wanted was to have to clean up after some epic showdown between Chuck and a very pissed-off Gabriel.
Chuck meanwhile watched you with a mischievous glint in his eye. He knew that he was about to drop a bombshell on you and he couldn’t wait to see your reaction.
“You do very well with Jack that’s why you’re pregnant. Congratulations!”
You dropped your cup before spinning around to stare at Chuck. Had you heard him correctly? Did he just say the “P” word that would result in another nephilim child? Surly you were going crazy and this was some weird dream. There could be no way this was actually happening.
The next thing you knew, Chuck walked over and pinched you.
“OW!”
You squealed, nearly ready to punch Chuck in the face.
“I wouldn’t do that. You would break your hand and it wouldn’t be good for your baby.”
Your mouth dropped yet again.
“Chuck you are saying a lot of words that don’t go into my vocabulary and I am VERY concerned.”
Chuck giggled as if he was telling you some huge joke.
“You shouldn’t be. I know what you have wanted and am giving it to you.”
Your head was spinning as you moved to sit down.
“I mean my dream isn’t to die…”
Chuck finished making you a fresh cup of tea and sat it down in front of you.
“You aren’t going to die, silly. I would never let you die. I actually adore you. That is why I paired you with Gabriel.”
Your mind went immediately to your lover who was still in the bedroom. How was he going to handle this? Most likely not well. He had been so against even speaking about nephilim from day one. How would he react to the realization that he was about to have one of his very own?
“You’re messing with me, right? Is this for me not responding to your cat Tik Tok’s that you sent me?”
You asked. Chuck just stared at you.
“After that little romp that you had with Gabriel in your car…that did the trick.”
You made a face before covering yourself.
“Gross! You were watching us! That’s fucked up, man.”
Chuck shook his head.
“I didn’t watch…watch. I just overheard what was going through both of your heads. It wasn’t hard to miss. Anyway, long story short, you're going to be a mommy. Congratulations!”

♡ Liebling ♡
michael kaiser x reader highschool au fluff a bit of romance, the start of a relationship Strangers to friends to lovers
☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆
"Hey, come back!" A voice called out, "You didn't give me your number yet!"
Queue to you running in the hallways away from a certain German who's been bothering you after his match just finished.
"Wait, wait, where are you going?"
You could hear him screaming out to you, but you just ignored the noises and continued running.
Prior to this predicament, it was just you and your friend who "invited" (she actually just dragged you to watch the match between your school and another local high school for a sports cup). The players of your school have been doing well so far, already making it to the finals, which was today. The crowd goes wild for every goal achieved; everyone was hyped.
Everyone had their gaze focused on a single player, though. Who else but Michael Kaiser, the German prodigy of your high school? The ace, the sole star, is God's chosen emperor. Anyone should be grateful to be in his presence; the cheers grew louder with each passing moment, much to your dismay.
You had a small scowl plastered on your face from how overwhelming the entire match was. Sports are just not your thing.
The hype did not die down; in fact, it grew tenfold. There was loud cheering and chanting as the break finished and it was time to resume.
Time flew by fast, as now the trophy is in the hands of your school. Clapping erupted in the field as people whistled and chattered. Your school won the cup yet again. It was no surprise after all.
When the match was over, you quickly took your chance to escape. Sadly, your escape didn't go unnoticed by a certain someone as a larger figure began sprinting towards you.
' What could this idiot want?' you thought to yourself.
A hand was placed on your shoulder, causing you to turn your head around and face whoever was reaching out to you. To your surprise, it was Michael Kaiser. With a wide grin on his face and a confident demeanor, he strode towards you, flaunting himself.
"Hey, what's your name, Liebling?" he says, trying to strike up a conversation with you amidst the crowd swarming him.
It was just not your day. Exhausted and drained, you only sighed and turned around, continuing your way back to the classrooms to pick up your belongings and leave, hopefully back home.
Kaiser did not appreciate that; he continued to follow you, determined to not give up, as he shooed the crowd away. Seeing your pace increase instantly made him pick up his, and soon enough, it became a chase amidst the hallway, with him occasionally yelling for you to stop.
That's basically what led to you being trapped in a corner with him pestering you about your number and other details. Why would he want to know your class, schedule, and even subjects? It was so out of character.
Exasperated, you responded, telling him your name with a deadpan look. You looked so gorgeous even when irritated, he thought to himself.
He then looks at you with a genuine smile adorning his handsome face.
"Wow. You look so cool in that outfit. I almost want to say you're wearing that with love, but I guess I'll just call it curiosity. Oh my, how I've been missing out. I've never been with someone who made me feel this much joy." He muses loudly, proud of what he just said.
Your face had the most shocked look, as you could not believe what you heard. You could feel a blush slowly creeping onto your face as you averted your gaze.
"We can't just suddenly become friends; we barely even know each other. I only know you as a football  player."You protested, trying to cover your face.
"so? Is that even a problem?" he asked nonchalantly.
'Yes, of course it is; you don't just suddenly befriend strangers!"
"Well, I do if it's you," he winks.
You don't know whether to hit him or feel flattered.
"Anyways, can I please have your number? I really think you're cute. I've seen you around for a while, and you're always so pleasant and caring. I'd like to be friends, or maybe even more," he smiles, holding out his phone to you.
'Fine, just don't bother me too much, ok?" you say. You won't lie to yourself, but in fact, being in his attention made you feel all flustered. You feel your face heating up and the temperature rising.
Kaiser took note of it and slipped in a comment, earning a small smack from you before you typed in your number.
After you just walked away, Kaiser didn't stop you, only smiling as he looked down on the name he saved on his phone.
"Liebling ♡"
He whispers as he saves the number, his eyes resting on your figure as you leave.
And this was the beginning of what you'd like to call a very close 'friendship', although it was nothing like that at all.
Well, it blossomed into something more than that.

Writing this while listening to Christian songs is my process lajsdlkajkld
You guys need to listen to the soundtrack of Journey to Bethlehem. What bangers and amazing pieces!
-------------------------------------------
Once they got inside, Charlie locks the hotel up using keekee.
Vaggie: You sure that will hold them up?
Charlie: Of course! Besides if any of them try to sneak in then I'm sure Razzle and Keekee will keep them out yes? Yeah? Awww yes you will~
Charlie gushes on her guardians for one more minute before moving close to where her dad was seated on the couch.
Charlie: You okay, dad?
Lucifer: I'm fine, sweetie. Just a little dizzy. I've been using that ability more in thebpast few months than I ever did for 10000 years. It's always draining.
Alastor has disappeared, probably in the kitchen making her dad tea.
Cherri: Not gonna lie. That was kinda hot.
Angel: Yeah. You gotta keep doing whatever that was when you can, short king. Preferably when I'm there to see it. You know, I give full consent for you to do that to me in be-
Charlie: Angel!
Angel: What?
Alastor: Do you never think before you speak, Angel?
Saved by the radio demon. Lucifer smirks as gladly accepts the tea handed to him.
Angel: I'm just here expressing my feelings, Al! And princess, didn't you say that was a redeeming quality.
Vaggie: You are so lucky Lucifer- uh sir- is not killing you on the spot.
Angel: Hehe sorry, handsome. Just a lil fun~
Lucifer chuckles at this. Charlie sure did find some funny individuals.
Lucifer: None taken, Angel. And Vaggie, I told you to stop calling me sir. Lucifer is fine, or if you want.. dad.
Vaggie blushed so so golden that she went to hide in her girlfriend's shoulders in embarrassment.
Vaggie: okay… Lucifer sir.
The King of Hell chuckles in amusement. Well, he'll take what he can get.
Someone clears their throat causing everyone to look at the source.
Lucifer: What is it, Satan?
Satan: As cute as this is, I think we need to discuss what happened earlier.
Lucifer: Can I say anything that will make you guys just drop it?
Various statements from All: Nope. No. Sorry, shorty. Nuh uh. I don't believe so, my dear.
He sighs.
Lucifer: Worth a shot.
When Lucifer doesn't make a move to speak, Charlie kneels before him to hold his hands in hers. There's ringing in his ears.
Charlie: Dad..
Fatherdamnit! Why is he so weak when it comes to his baby girl? He's the Devil for fucks sake and-
And… he's a father first.
Lucifer: It was my brother. Michael.
Everyone's eyes widened in shock except for the Sins. They knew who it was but what they want to know is why.
Angel: Woah woah woah! Like St. Michael the Archangel ?? From the Bible??
Lucifer: Angel, I'm from the Bible.
Angel: Oh yeah.
Charlie: Do you think this is about the last extermination?
Vaggie: But that was already a few months ago. If Heaven had a problem with what happened, I'm pretty sure that we'd hear from them much earlier. Unless..
Husk: It could be cos of the mess in the 7th ring?
Lucifer doesn't answer any of them again. Instead, he looks on to the Heaven shaped planet in the sky.
Asmodeus: Luci… is a war coming?
Lucifer: I can't answer that.
Liar. Why are you lying again? You know why Michael did that. They can help. They will listen!
Alastor: Cannot or won't, my Majesty?
He should've known Alastor will see right through him. Smiling prick.
Lucifer: Does it matter?
The demon's grin doesn't falter.
Alastor: I do not know, my King. Does it?
The faint ringing in his ears is getting louder. He can't ignore it for long.
He stands and dusts himself off.
Lucifer: I don't have time for this. I need to go to Heaven as soon as possible. Preferably right now.
Loud protests echoed in the hotel lobby as soon as he said it.
Alastor: Mon ange, let us not be too hasty.
Satan: Are you fucking kidding me?!
Leviathan: No way.
Mammon: So it is a war???
Ozzie: On your own?!
Bee: What if they kill you?? One of us will go with you.
Belphegor: At least take someone from the Ars Goetia. I'm sure Paimon would gladly give you a strong familiar.
Angel: I make stupid choices so I know this is stupid- ow! The hell, bitch??
Vaggie: Shut up, Angel. But they're right, Lucifer sir. And sorry but what brought this on?
Charlie: Let me come with you atleast.
That's it.
Lucifer: No!
That stopped the talking atleast.
Lucifer: I need to talk to Michael and I'm pretty sure he's not going to come down here. And no, I am not going to take anyone with me. It's too dangerous, Charlie. Don't worry, he's not gonna kill me up there. Just… I promise I'll explain what I can after but right now… I need to go
He can see the Sins about to argue again but he gave them the softest look he can muster and it did the trick because they all clammed up.
Lucifer: Do you trust me?
The look they give him makes him reminiscent the beginning. A time of nothing and all he had was Lilith and the newly born Sins. He sometimes forgets that they were still a lot younger than him and for a long time, he was all they got.
Satan: Of course.
He hopes the smile he gives them is reassuring enough. They melt into his hold as he rans a hand through their faces to cup them.
Lucifer: Good. Take care of my daughter and Hell, okay?
Finally appraoching Charlie and her friends, he draws small pentagrams that embedded themselves unto their skins.
Lucifer: These will act as a ward to anything that poses as a danger to you. Consider it a gift from me.
He locks eyes with Alastor and they form a silent agreement.
His deer takes his hand and bends down to kiss it.
Alastor: With my soul, my love.
Lucifer smiles and suddenly a golden flurry engulfs him, tranforming him back to what he originally looked like before Roo.
When Leviathan gave him a look, he waves in dismissal.
Lucifer: I don't need Michael or Heaven knowing about all this mess. As far as they're concerned, Roo never happened.
He calls upon Keekee, who turned into a key to open a golden portal. Vaggie can see that wherever he opened it, it wasn't the pearly gates of Heaven. It looked like… a room? And since when was Lucifer allowed to open any door in Heaven on his own? This is all suspicious if you ask her. But she bites her tongue.
Before the King could step in, he was grabbed by the arm. He looks back to see his daughter having a tight grip on his wrist.
Lucifer: Char-char?
Charlie: Come back, dad. Okay?
He wishes he just lived a normal life with his beloved little girl.
Lucifer: Promise…. Love you.

If any of you guys have read my fic "He Never Did" on AO3, then you might be familiar with this idea but I've decided to expand on it with a new au.
(More art at the end by the way)
Tumblr media
The first big difference between this AU and canon is that Charlie never died, she never got locked out of her party and William never killed her. Her parents divorced when she was around 10 and her mom took Sammy in the divorce while Henry got Charlie.
Also side note but like standard FNAF content warning because I know a big chunk of my followers dont care about fnaf.
Basic backstory is in 1982 William gets springlocked but survives which sets him on the path of searching for some form of immortality, after this incident he starts acting colder to his family which causes Michael to start acting out and later leads to the prank that goes wrong and kills his younger brother in 1983 with the bite. This leads to the family further falling apart, especially when William starts his experiments which of course leads to Elizabeth's death and the Missing Children's Incident in 1985. Unfortunately, just like how we see in Sister Location the animatronics and the ghosts inside of them are mistreated terribly and without the Puppet being there to calm them down or at least direct the anger towards just adults. They start behaving a lot more dangerously and maiming and evening killing a few people, with the Bite of '87 instead being an incident where several people were killed instead of just a brain injury (don't worry even though he's not featured in this au Jeremy was relatively fine besides the whole frontal lobe thing). Henry is freaking out over all of this while getting most of the blame, while William uses this opportunity to do more experiments. Henry then closes Freddy's for a few years, with the promise it will reopen in a few years once everything has been resolved. William gets pissed and they get into a huge argument afterward Henry kicks him from the company and William opens Circus Baby's Rentals to continue his work. After a few years he gets a breakthrough with remnant but ruins into a huge problem.
In my AU remnant isn't exactly a cure all. It's absolutely TERRIBLE at de-aging someone unless you literally have gallons of the stuff, and even remaining at your current age take a lot in addition to the fact that until you wait for it to disperse into your bloodstream and get absorbed, a person becomes highly flammable and you have to deal with bouts of nausea and vomiting unless you find a good doner match if you consume large amounts. Something important to note is it's similar to blood in my rewrite with a WAY longer regeneration time, like 6-12 months compared to blood's few weeks, but killing someone violently or drawing it out gets you a higher yield
So, William hits a wall in terms of his research that until remembers that he still has (at least in this AU) two kids left alive, Michael and Vanessa. Now right now Vanessa is about 5 and William tested both her and Michael and found that Vanessa would be a terrible match for him but a decent match for any of her siblings, both the live one and the dead ones, so he notes that down but basically ignores her. Not Michael though, he unfortunately could provide a similar enough template to William that any experiments performed on Michael would roughly have the same outcome if performed on William. So, like in canon he convinces Michael to work at Circus Baby's so he can experiment on Michael in secret and if Michael dies, see if he can be brought back. Unfortunately, while William is out of state dealing with investors and some of his other testing grounds, Michael gets scooped and after Ennard leaves him for dead, he wanders around until he finds his way to where Charlie lives because Michael thinks he is well DYING and A. needs someone to know his sister doesn't have anyone to take care of her and B. This is a Marlie AU and if Michael is going to die, he's at least going to tell the girl that he likes how he feels before he kicks the bucket. So, he does and then immediately falls into a coma because he's like super weak and Charlie is freaking out because oh my god what else would you do. She's freaking out on her porch when who shows up but William. What happens next is basically what happens in the fic I wrote. He basically tells Charlie "Hey Michael is basically going to be a suffering mess in constant pain forever unless you help me murder people so we can fix him and if you say no, I may just murder you instead" So Charlie agrees and after about two months, they have hypothetically "fixed" Michael, but he still hasn't woken up yet. William then hands Charlie a case of remnant and tells her to use it on Michael until its gone and then he'll wake up. William then disappears! and yes, he does abandon 5-year-old Vanessa, but don't worry she still has Charlie. So, Charlie does as she's instructed but here comes the issue. Michael never wakes up, no matter how much Charlie waits, in fact he stops even breathing and goes in a rigor mortis like state. Charlie is heartbroken and one night during a thunderstorm she gets a really fucked up idea.
She needs more remnant.
Specifically, she saw and read Williams notes about remnant compatibility and knows that both William and Vanessa have a high compatibility with Michael. Now she's obviously not going to hurt Vanessa, so Charlie goes to the Afton house to try and get answers from William but again he's not there, what Charlie does find is a taunting note and some VERY unsettling records of all the child murder, so Charlie then decides to hunt him down. Obviously, she can't just abandon Vanessa alone with her comatose/possibly dead brother so she heads home to plan. The first thing she does is empty out a freezer in her garage and she sticks Michael in there after giving him another dose of remnant just in case and gathers up all of Vanessa's things and drops her off at Jessica's house, She tells Jessica she has to be gone for a little bit but promises she'll be back as soon as she can and even puts a wad of cash into her best friend's hands as she runs off. Jessica is a little pissed but mostly worried, so she waits exactly a week before she decides to go check on Charlie. Instead of finding Charlie however, she finds an equally confused and concerned Henry because he'd been calling Charlie's house phone and there had been no response. After Jessica tells him how weird Charlie the last time was she saw her, the two decide to enter the house and grow increasingly more concerned as they see that the house is a mess and find more and more concerning notes and papers. Side note Jessica took Vanessa with her because she wasn't going to leave the kid alone. The tour of the house gets worse when they end up in the garage and when Henry is freaking out and little baby Vanessa asks him to be quiet because "Mikey's sleeping right now" and points to the freezer. Que the abject horror of Jessica and Henry as they open the freezer and find what they think is Michael's corpse, which looks like someone has performed surgery on and he's missing an arm which was replaced by a modified endoskeleton hand. Henry and Jessica then rush out of the room, with Jessica dragging Vanessa out with her. They then start freaking out and due to shenanigans Vanessa somehow manages to electrocute Michael because "that's what they do in cartoons." and they start freaking out even MORE when Michael actual wakes up very confused to why he's not dead. Eventually once everyone calms down and talks it out, they realize they need to find Charlie and probably also William.
The main plot of this AU will follow Charlie hunting down William while she frees the spirits she finds along the way. Henry, Jessica and Michael with little Vanessa tagging along have to find Charlie and William to prevent any future possible murders.
If you've made it this far down, Congrats! feel free to send in an ask about the au if you're curious about anything!

Free the Bird from its Gilded Cage
Synopsis: Lucifer would tell anyone who asked his greatest regret was letting humanity eat the apple. Better than admitting what he really regretted.
Notes
Golly gee good thing affairs didn’t exist back then huh!
In which Lucifer’s tism hurts his best friend, the fic.
I think I can tag this as Edenpoly considering the conversation between Lucifer and Lilith.
I give my greatest thanks to my good friend Hat who uttered the phrase “I raise a glass to the friend you could have been and drink to the monster you became” (Or something of the sort) which has not left my brain 2 years later.
No shade on other people’s depictions of the ancient archangels. I love good archangels as much as you guys but… this is very much bashing.
I’m so sorry Michael. And Azrael, and every single angel who’s characters I butcher in this AU. It’s not you guys I swear.
God on the other hand fuck you I’m not sorry.
I have been told by many people irl that I have religious trauma. I didn’t think I did but fuck it we ball.
I am so sorry this came out late but I had two assignments and I'm moving houses, I'll try not to have a repeat.
Word count: 1957
Fic under cut!
Lucifer felt Lilith before he saw her, the first woman’s aura screaming frustration and hurt louder than the tears in her eyes.
She was sitting under an aspen tree with her legs tucked to her chest.
Lucifer didn’t need to guess why she was upset; it could really only be one thing these days.
“Adam did something again, didn’t he.”
Lilith huffed and lifted her head to meet Lucifer’s gaze, “We fought, again. He still doesn’t get it.”
Lucifer sighed and sat down next to the first woman, not for the first time the little voice in his head bemoaned Adams chronic inability to listen to anyone other than God. It was really starting to cause problems in Eden.
“He’ll regret it.”
“He always does, but he still does it.”
Lucifer nodded, “He needs to learn that God isn’t right about everything,” His siblings would murder him if they knew he was spreading this kind of blasphemy, “But I do agree, it’s a little irritating.”
“It is!” Lucifer jerked as Lilith stood up abruptly and began to pace, “He’s great most of the time don’t get me wrong, but he’s just increasingly growing more and more insufferable! It’s like every time he gets better he just goes straight back to being worse!”
“Truly the trials and tribulations of the first humans.”
“I just wish he would listen to me! Not some stuck up self-important know it all who thinks I’m worthless.”
Lucifer wisely held back the instinctive defence of the Creator, “Especially when you are so much more than that.”
Lilith seemed to finally run out of steam, falling back into Lucifer’s arms and holding him tightly, “I hate this… I hate him.”
“No, you don’t.”
“No, I don’t… I hate the man God wants him to be.”
“I hate that man too,” Lucifer admitted, “I hate how he hurts everyone.”
Because it wasn’t just Lilith that was left hurting. Lucifer hated how he was losing track of the near silent breakdowns of Adam’s.
God created humanity different from the grand design, and every day Lucifer loathed that fact more and more.
“He’s going to win, that man.”
“Neither of us will let him.”
“He’ll let himself,” Lilith hissed right by his ear, the sound sending a shiver down Lucifer’s spine, by the choirs that felt good “Adams an idiot.”
“Yep!” Call Lucifer blasphemous, but he was so tempted to-
Lilith opened her mouth to say something, and Lucifer listened to the little voice in his head once again.
He caught her mouth with his own swiftly before pulling back, face flushing as he realised what he just did.
That was something only Adam and Lilith was supposed to do with each other.
Lilith blinked, taking time to process before giving her response, “Do that again.”
Lucifer didn’t need to be told twice.
The bark of the aspen tree was lit up by Lucifer’s wings as he pressed his lips to Lilith’s again.
And again.
And again.
Lucifer had never felt so good. He could see why Lilith and Adam like doing this. This felt so good.
- - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - -
It was hours until Lucifer disentangled himself from Lilith, still not having quite recovered from the experience. Sadly, he could feel the mental tug attached to his halo signifying his siblings wanting an audience with him. The last thing he wanted was to have them come down and see him with Lilith.
The moment he returned to heaven however, he had the distinct feeling that he might have messed up regardless.
Michael was pacing and muttering angrily under his breath, sharp sounds grating Lucifer’s awareness. When the archangel saw Lucifer, his wings physically bristled as he lunged forward and grabbed the Morningstar by the robe.
“You are so very fortunate that God was already growing tired of Lilith’s rebellion!”
“What?”
“Michael,” Lucifer turned to see Azrael landing nearby, “I highly doubt Lucifer knows what he has done, as impulsive as he is.”
“What? What happened,” Lucifer demanded, mantling his wings to make himself look larger as he stared down the other archangels.
“You don’t know?”
“Know what!”
“God decided to give the first man a new wife,” Michaels words cut through Lucifer’s anger and left only shock, “Made from his rib.”
“… what?”
“Yes, I had to tear it out myself,” Michael huffed, Lucifer noticed the dried red still dusting the angels gloves, “Adam tried to flee.”
“…”
“What Michael means,” Azreal shot the other a look, “Is that Adam didn’t take the information well, and saw it fit to attempt avoiding the situation entirely.”
“He was awake?!” Lucifer screeched “By the choir what is wrong with you two?!”
“It was the Creator’s wishes, none of us knew it would bring pain,” Azrael sighed, “However, it would encourage not repeating the situation…”
“It doesn’t matter anyway,” Michael scoffed, “The Creator ensured Adam wouldn’t remember.”
“It would taint him.”
“It would motivate him.”
“What?”
“Our Creator has decided to take a more… hands on approach in ensuring the situation does not repeat itself,” Azrael looked uncomfortable, “Xe employed the use of divine power to keep Adam and Eve from straying from the grand design.”
Lucifer took a step back.
Michael opened his mouth to say something, but Lucifer couldn’t hear over the roar of nothing in his ears.
No.
Nononononono.
Lucifer ran.
He broke into a sprint before diving back down to Earth, landing on the soft grass of Eden he looked around desperately.
“Adam!”
“Yes?”
Lucifer turned around as Adam’s figure came into view from behind a tree, “Adam-”
His eyes were gold.
Lucifer stumbled back as he took in the first man’s appearance, Adam’s eyes were no longer the colour of earth. The familiar dark brown orbs that bore the gold of honey and of leaves in the sun were gone. In their place was the brilliant gold of divinity, of heaven, the same gold of the-
The chain attached to his wrist.
Lucifer lunged forward and grabbed his friends arm, pulling him forward and running a hand along the softly glowing cuff on Adams wrist.
It was definitely the Creator’s doing.
“Adam what have they done to you.”
“Ah, apologies, but have we met before?”
Lucifer’s golden ichor froze as he looked back up to meet that accursed golden gaze, “What?”
“It is just that… you seem familiar with me, but I do not recall ever having met you. I apologize.”
Lucifer stepped back from the first man, “What.”
“Were you present for my creation? That day was such a blur I hardly recall all those present.”
“Adam- Adam look at me,” Lucifer grabbed Adam by the shoulder, staring desperately into those too gold, too inhuman, too holy eyes “Adam. You are my best friend. You remember me don’t you?”
Adam’s eyes flickered for a moment, that familiar beautiful earth brown peeking through for a moment before being swamped by heavenly gold.
“You are an angel; how could I ever be friends with someone of a higher status such as you?”
Lucifer wanted to cry.
The Creator truly was cruel.
“Are you alright, sir?”
Lucifer couldn’t do this.
Lucifer shoved Adam away and ran like a coward, stumbling through the bushes and past trees as he ran away from the puppet wearing his best friends face.
He didn’t even talk like Adam.
The Creator just stripped his best friend of everything that made him… him.
Lucifer collapsed under a willow tree as he sobbed into his arms.
He didn’t move for a long time after that.
- - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - -
Lilith found him in the dim of night, her eyes sharp and he teeth bared in a rueful grimace even as she took him into his arms.
“We’re not letting them get away with this. Not this time.”
A hot flame of righteous anger sparked in Lucifer’s heart as he held onto Lilith. She was right, this crossed a line.
Lucifer wanted to rush in, to steal Adam away and find a way to break that chain.
Lilith told him to wait, to watch and observe as she would.
“Right now, heaven does not know about our rebellion, if we move too quickly we will both be destroyed.”
She was right, of course she was. Lucifer hated it though.
They had to watch Adam go through the motions of what his life used to be. The way he would no longer wander the garden without reason.
He wouldn’t play with the animals anymore or sit and relax under the sun.
Lucifer almost broke the trunk of a tree when he saw Adam tear out a plant Gabriel considered ‘too imperfect for the garden’ even though Lucifer knew that it was Adams favourite flower.
That flame of anger grew every time that damned shackle glowed and chained Adams will.
It took a little time to figure out, but if there was one thing Lucifer was sure would free Adam and Eve, it was the apples of knowledge.
They had to.
Lucifer and Lilith also watched Eve through everything. She seemed meek through the control of the Creator, but in the few moments the attention of heaven faded and the gold in her eyes let a little bit of reddish brown through, they got to know her.
She was gentle and sweet to the animals but there was a steel in her spine.
She was vibrant and wild as she chased the cheetah’s around the garden or buried her head in a grizzly bears side.
Lucifer grew to love her in a way. As little of her as he could see. But she was the one the Creator paid less attention to, and why would xe? She is supposed to be subservient to Adam.
Lucifer shifted into the form of a snake and curled through the branches of the tree of knowledge as she came into view.
Showtime.
“Eve my dear, may I borrow your attention for but a moment?” Lucifer sing-songed, drawing the girls eye as she stopped at the base of the tree.
“What is it you require of me, snake?” Eve asked, Lucifer watched intently as the telltale hint of red brown filtered into her gaze, this was the shot he needed.
“The fruit of this tree, could you tell me how it tastes to you?”
The woman flinched back as if struck, and Lucifer’s eyes narrowed at her response.
“I couldn’t, God said-”
“And have you not wondered why xe demands such things of you? Have you not questioned why xe forbade this?” Lucifer hissed, snapping off an apple and letting it fall to the ground at Eve’s feet, “I know, and that is why I ask this of you.”
Eve’s will fought with Heaven for a moment as she picked up the apple, but she was not gone yet, “God said that if I ate the fruit, I would die.”
“And the Creator lies to you,” blasphemy dripped off of Lucifers tongue as he all but snarled at Eve, the white-hot flame of fury envenoming his words, “To eat the apple is not to die, but to be freed. To have your eyes opened to the truth around you.”
Eve held the apple in her hands, the reddish brown in her eyes traitorously present.
“How do you know I won’t die?”
“Because my dear, I have had my eyes opened long ago. To open them is a freedom the Creator keeps from you on purpose,” Lucifer hissed, “You will not die, of that I can promise.”
Eve bit into the apple, and the chains snapped under the weight of knowledge granted.
