This is for a new AU I'm doing where I'm just kinda goofing around, I don't have a strong premise, story, or theme, I'm just having fun! Though, one fact I can tell you about this Jax is he is a perfomer at the circus! But there was a problem. Caine favoured Kaufmo over him, so out of jealousy he, let's just say, puts Kaufmo to sleep for a really long time. Now he's famous and popular and one of the most beloved members of the circus! Nobody else knows what happened to Kaufmo. He's presumed 'missing'

I allow fanart, headcanons and all sorts, I have no real boundaries except for sending me NSFW as I'm a minor, and that's just illegal. Though I'd like credit, if you were to post such content, tag it appropriately or better yet, don't post it.

☆An AU based upon weirdcore, horror, the backrooms/ liminal spaces, and FUN bittersweet tragedy. ☆

!! UH OH!!

●Caine has been infected by a virus. He's unstable, and sometimes completely unpredictable. He glitches out a lot, changes emotions on a dime, and hates loud noises. Bubble is around as well as a dangerous oil slick like blob. They tend to trap individuals that wander into them. ●

♡Abnormalities: These are fragments of characters that have passed on in the circus instead of being abstracted. They love to mimic other people and animals. They sometimes will possess a Gloink.

When a character passes two things happen. They will shatter into FRAGMENTS OF EMOTION and FRAGMENTS OF SELF.

Emotional fragments often become destructive entities called echos. They're like rabid animals. Wolf like at times, sometimes they mimic other prey animals.

Self fragments become shadows and mimics. They rather draw in victims by mimicking friends, they're pretty good at this when they're not in a frenzy state.

◇Abstractions: they're a lot like in the normal state of the AU. Giant deformed circus members. There's a lot less of them here though, only about three. Caine has never been in the right state of mind to get rid of them so they roam around looking for movement or prey. Sometimes you can spot them fighting and eating Abnormalities.

i thought too hard about insect motifs got a little silly and made... a lot lmao these versions of the characters are from @sm-baby's amazing digital carnival au!! full images and rambling about insect choices are gonna get stuck under the cut... it'll be a bit long and i will be putting photos of real bugs down there so be mindful

pomni: "butterfly"

inspirational species are black swallowtails mostly for the shape, and malay red harlequins mostly for the pattern

carnival pomni's actually the one that kickstarted this whole set... i drew her hat in a way that reminded me of butterflies, went "wait...", then i fully leaned into it :)

jax: "centipede"

there was no specific species for jax. without being able to use color, they were too similar to pick any out... i have included a giant centipede just for reference though since it was mainly larger centipedes i used for inspiration

anddd there's a little bonus sketch for how pre-sentience jax might've looked with a centipede outfit... he gets a bug scarf and some goggles!

ragatha: "ladybug"

inspirational species was the twice-stabbed ladybug chosen because the inverted color scheme looked the best out of all the ones i tried, and also because it's a metal name and we know ragatha's good with a knife... stabby stab... i did add more than two spots to the dress though, it just looks cooler lol

gangle: "spider"

inspiration was the spinybacked orb weaver which i was absolutely ecstatic to find because come on that is the perfect spider for gangle like look at it!! it looks like her mask, it's got red, it's got gold on the limbs, literally twinning

zooble: "mantis"

inspiration was the spiny flower mantis which, like with gangle, i feel is pretty much perfect for zooble... they come in many colors (including pink), have abstract patterns, and it gave me the excuse to cover zooble in spikes :D fun

and no kaufmo because i'm lazy and he's dead (sorry kaufmo fans but am i wrong), and the rest don't have bug names that i know of?

i still want to draw the carnival characters in their regular looks sometime, i just got really really inspired by the idea of secret skins and bug-themed outfits and went a liiittle haywire :P

anyways if you read all that you're a real one and you've got too much time on your hands... if you didn't, i understand, i get wordy, sorry :'D okay i think that's all byeee

Weird Jax with his stickers and covering clothing items next to himself without any items but his overalls.

Due to the nature of the AU, when a character gets into contact with an abstraction or abnormality, they develop extra eyes or mouths. It's a bit like scarring. Harmless and non transferable to other circus members. Kinger discovered it was detrimental to the mental health of members by allowing them to linger. He developed a simple solution to cover up the twitching and creepy mess on their bodies with stickers and clothes.

Official Poster of

"The amazing digital Office"

Gosh! I really want to turn this into a Manga, or at least make it look like one! The story is still a bit vague in my mind, but I'll develop the characters over time and portray it through short comics.

I'll also work on more Posters! In this AU I ship Showtime, Abstragedy, Bunnydoll and Checkmate :3
