If you haven't done one before, could you do an analysis of Denji's use of sexuality as the only form of love he still has untouched?

Sex and love, two bets Denji wants to take

At first, touching breasts, getting close to a girl, was a way for Denji to fill something he didn't understand. Projecting his lack of relationships, and affection, into what was visible, represented on those posters and magazines, through all those sexual images. Denji is someone who reasons through his senses, his intuitions. For him, pure physical contact was love.

When he loses Pochita for the first time, Denji doesn't immediately place his feelings in the abstract. He's sad, having just lost his family, but physically, organically and symbolically, he remains in his heart, he is his heart. It's only afterwards, as Denji experiments, that he understands the ambivalence of relationships: things don't turn out as we'd hoped, we can even have bad experiences, be violated against our will even when we were convinced we'd get a reward, a pleasant, harmless act.

Proposing a carnal act is not necessarily an act of kindness; on the contrary, it's often a way of dominating and manipulating the other person. Falling in love and sleeping together isn't as simple as cooking and eating. It's a risk before it's a pleasure.

Then there was Aki and Power. The symbol of platonic family relationships. For whom Denji didn't realize his attachment until after their loss. To the point of understanding that losing someone isn't as simple to resolve as sleeping when you're sleepy. That it follows us without solution.

Denji understood this plurality of love, he also understood that sex, or one's own body, is a currency of exchange, as his dialogue with Yoshida had shown. A body can be bruised, sex can be non-consensual. These aren't just abstract concepts, Denji doesn't think like that; if he's understood them at all, it's through his own experiences.

In chapter 127, Denji catches up with Asa, subjected to the Falling Devil, who argues that life is only pain. What Denji is trying to do is reassure her, which is not easy for him as speech is not his strong suit. But he puts himself in her place anyway, and it's one of the rare times when CSM expressly and voluntarily helps someone simply to help them, without projecting anything behind it (he wasn't supposed to see Asa anymore).

He then talks about cats and dogs, because he knows that universally they are beings that bring us happiness. But he also evokes all his traumas: ice cream (Aki), cats (Power), but above all hamburgers (representing his mourning when he gave up control of his being to Pochita). Denji evokes them all positively, yet symbolically, they are all finely chosen elements that will evoke negativity.

But in the end, Denji says he's moving on to have sex one day. I know this isn't the right way to reassure Asa, but Denji wanted to help her, to comfort her, and he did it sincerely, because he can't change what he says if it's what he thinks. Wanting sex is what a teenager wants. It's also a desire for Denji not to compartmentalize growing up and not to pay attention to his needs.

Denji is attracted by what he can touch directly, by pure sensations. So it's natural that he only talks about sex. That's not to say he'll reduce his girlfriend to that, he just doesn't know what envelops the act, feelings, love. He's never had a girlfriend!

Denji was abandoned by his parents, dehumanized, having grown up with a demon, behaving like an animal. So he answers his questions with this latest experience, a sensation not yet acquired: the origin of humanity, his own, Asa's. If everyone's doing it, it must be good!!!

Sex is presented as two sides of the same coin in this part, as a kind of naive claim for Denji to move forward, to get out of his pain, but something that is constantly used against him, to manipulate him, that puts him in danger.

And once again, he begins to spot the danger, but can't fight it. Fumiko is the perfect example, a symbol of his sexual trauma to which Denji is completely subjected.

Denji is beginning to know that sex can be both positive and negative. But he also doesn't know how to discuss it, how to talk about it, especially to the girl he's interested in. As he thinks sex is something universally pleasurable so talking about it had to resonate in Asa as much as cats, dogs, ice cream. He presented something that was also traumatic in a beautiful light.

Denji wants a girlfriend, he wants to be loved and to love, yes. Even though love is rarely a pleasant experience, even a factor of despair.

Denji also wants to sleep with someone, yes something just as risky, or he consciously knows he can be used and manipulated for it.

Sex isn't Denji's way of being loved, it's like love, something as beautiful as it is traumatic. And Denji wants to experiment. Even if it means suffering. Because in suffering, there will always be pleasure.

CSM, the fruit of an act of love for Pochita and mourning for Denji, is above all the chimera of trauma.

Denji doesn't think he can get out of the trauma. He has experienced it so much that he now sees it as something necessary to experience. He doesn't confront suffering, he deflects it, even if it means suffering more.

How could Denji break out of this cycle?

By learning to trust.

And that's something he'll experience with a teenager who's distrustful, his opposite.

Both the attraction and the rejection of sex are normal reactions for two teenagers. But they are also two responses from the two protagonists to their own suffering.

Denji's obsession with sex is a desire to move forward, to tie the knot to the point of putting himself in danger. Asa's absolute rejection of contact is also symbolic of the fact that she no longer wants to suffer by connecting with others, even if it means suffering from her loneliness.

One is literally swept away by his suffering, while the other cuts off his own head to get some hope, accepting his suffering as necessary, even if it deprives him of his loved ones. And the result will be the same: solitude.

You can't throw yourself into someone's arms, just as you can't isolate yourself.

Loneliness will devour them if they don't bond with each other.

A relationship with someone you trust is enough.

Chainsaw Man-Chapter Round-Up(Chapter 125)

There wasn’t a lot that happened this chapter that we can talk about but it does give us an opportunity to look back and get a bearing on the series so far. The contents of the chapter can be summarized pretty easily. The falling devil harvests some ingredients from humans while leaving them alive and then kills a public safety officer attacking her before being attacked by Denji. One key moment in this chapter is that Asa needs to fall or in another sense the War devil needs to be afraid. Below I go over some key ideas presented in past chapters, more plot than the character stuff I have been focusing on lately, so click on the ‘Keep reading’ to check it  out.

I have to say, the short period where Fujimoto was doing Bi-Weekly releases felt really great as the chapters were always pretty substantial. Though this wasn’t a bad chapter as it built an eerie ambience, I would much rather prefer he take his time and give us a full story beat with each chapter. 

Let’s talk about some of the moments in this chapter, such as how the Falling Devil didn’t outright kill anyone until she was attacked. I don’t see her being a substantial character beyond this little part but I do like how this charecterizes her as someone with priorities and how death isn’t really her end goal. It also highlights something I want to bring up in the context of the whole history of the Chainsaw Man world, and that’s the fact that Devil’s aren’t inherently evil. They're a lot more instinctual than that, as any acts of evil or damage they do commit is a result of them trying to perpetuate the fear that they’re based on. In short, they do what they do to survive. Like humans and other animals. I think it’s a key part of the morality of the world. The Falling Devil doesn’t need people to die to exist, just fear falling. 

Devils don’t want to end the world, they need humans to survive. Devils feed on their associated fears to live and that piece of information helps us understand the motivations of some of the more prominent devils we’ve seen. Especially the four horseman. Though they’re siblings, they have wildly different goals. With Makima, she wanted to make the world a better place. And despite all of her talk about loving Pochita, survival is a key factor in that desire too. Because if the world is that free and peaceful, what can you be afraid of? That’s right, Control. Meaning her end goal would have helped her to stay relevant and get stronger as well. 

We see this with Yoru and Fami as well, as Fami is totally okay with Yoru accomplishing her goals as famine and the fear of famine is quite often a byproduct of war, as most areas in our world suffering from forms of famine were places of armed conflict. Yoru just needs nuclear weapons back as Mutually Assured Destruction causes a great deal of fear in war. Meaning Fami needs Yoru much more than Yoru needs Fami. But despite all of that needing humans to work something is coming to the Chainsaw Man world that is going to introduce a catastrophic amount of death, as can be predicted through the prophecies of Nostradamus and the convicts impending deaths. A great king of terror is coming. One that signifies the end of humanity. And the devils are helping this along as seen with the Falling Devil being the first to shepard this devil in. 

But if humans are to be exterminated where would that leave devils? As they need fear to survive. I see this going two ways. One, which is less likely as I don’t know how sustainable it would be to tell Chainsaw Mans story, is that the great king of terror somehow makes it so that devils don’t need humans to live. And that would be somewhat okay from a storytelling perspective as all of our main characters aren’t strictly human right now. The other more likely scenario is that Earth is made into a living hell, with devils actively living there and becoming either immortal or able to be fully killed(maybe a secret ploy by someone). This seems more likely as a world with humans living alongside devils would always be producing fear, much more than the earth as it is now. Also it would make sense as something Fami could get behind and not Yoru as the world might be too divided to form big enough factions for war. 

I do want to mention a few more things. With the fourth sibling being Death, probably the biggest fear most people have, and also a great king of terror arriving, Death could be this great king and the brother of the other three horsemen. Also I find setting the arrival of this great king being in July kind of odd and it makes me think that the Chainsaw Man story will conclude with the dawn of the year 2000 as it is an alternate universe and Y2K used to be a huge deal. It just fits the aesthetic of the manga. And finally, looking around for information on Makima I found a really fun piece of trivia, where Makima is based on Benten from the Eccentric Family, which is my second favourite anime of all time. In fact my profile picture is Yajiro Shimogamo from the same anime. It was just a really cool coincidence so I thought I would bring it up. But wow, learning that information really makes me look at Makima differently. Benten in The Eccentric Family always had this unfathomable sadness that she hid behind aloofness much like Makima. I guess Fujimoto’s conclusion as to the pain behind her sadness was that she couldn’t connect with others. I believe it’s that she can connect with others but that she is self destructive and self-sabotages those relationships. Wow, this makes me want to talk about Eccentric Family in full, I haven’t visited that in such a long time.

Chainsaw Man 128 'Early' Analysis

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HE'S FINALLY BACK THE GREATEST CHARACTER NEVER SHOWN YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I gotta back up Chapter starts with a pretty fucking funny scene. Continuing off the cliff hanger from the previous chapter Asa and Denji are talking about sex.

Going mostly off facial expression it seems like Asa starts to understand Denji's headspace more when it comes to Sex. It also confirms one of my more obvious observations from last chapter. Denji is using sex as a replacement for intimate feelings when talking about his dream. He wants someone to be close to him. Obviously he still wants to have sex. But he doesn't really have a way to put it into works so this is about as good as we're gonna get for now. Then Asa drops the nuclear fucking warhead.

In one page Denji turned from bitchless to a true incel. It's over millions of devils must die. I really hope that Denji gets a moment later along the lines of "You're wrong, Women love a man with a chainsaw for a head". I haven't forgotten about the chainsaw man fangirls from that chainsaw man thoughts interview. Obviously Denji and Asa get sent to hell because Denji in unable to cope with the through of being an incel.

I do not like these kinds of dishes where it's basically one thing and then it's just all garnish. Also there's a lack of eyes and ears. So what where those for? Denji Flees and we get to see how much he's grown since part 1.

We saw this same technique in use when he first fought falling. His body stays active for at least a few seconds when his head is chopped off so he's able to actually reattach his head or use it as a weapon. It's a really neat evolution of his abilities that totally in line with what he can already do. Cause this isn't something part 1 Denji would be able to so casually pull off. I doubt this has any important but his rip cord appears on the outside of his shirt without it ripping. It isn't like he brought a shirt that had a hole for the cord either because in previous panels it's just blank white. Again probably unimportant.

Denji come on man you're better than this. This is clearly just a joke at least because he's revving up to fight Falling again. Also I'm just now noticing this but Hell looks REALLY difference from the last time we saw it. Remember how it was previously the green field. Now it's just darkness. Is this a subspace within Hell? Did the Hell devil's death at the end of Part 1 result in this? Does the Hell devil control how Hell is? It could just be an unimportant detail but I want some information on it now.

HE'S BACK AND HE'S REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YARRRRRGGGGGGGGGG FUCKING INSANE CLUTCH THIS HAS TO BE THE SAME GUY RIGHT? Let me back up. You're more than aware of the Chainfraud Man theory by now but I'll summarize quickly. In chapter 111 we see a shadow of someone who looks like Chainsaw Man kill Yuko.

However 2 pages before this we see that Denji is asleep at the time this took place. Meaning this couldn't have been denji.

And that's all we got for actual appearances. Of course theories ran wild of things like: "Yoshida Octopus Shapeshifting?" "Chainsaw Man Devil?" ect

So backing up to chapter 126. I had previously theorized this to be Yoshida. However it appears that this guy was in fact Chainfraud Man the entire time.

It also means Denji knows who this is. Well if he's smart enough to put two and two together. Which I doubt. Now depending on what happens at the beginning of 127 Chainfraud Man could potentially have one of the best feats so far. More than likely Falling will just regenerate and slam this dude. But if she doesn't then-

HE'S SO FUCKING COOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE CHARACTER RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHH Ahem Chainfraud Man is more than likely a new character who we haven't seen before. It could potentially be Yoshida but the odds of that are diminishing rapidly. So whoever this guy is really is the greatest. I do wonder if "Evade them until sunrise" is literal or metaphorical. Like will falling's attack cease once the sun literally rises? Or is it a metaphorical one piece sun rise where they have to beat falling for the sun to rise? If it's literal it'll probably be because Falling couldn't get the main dish in time for the "meal". Aka she couldn't meet her deadline. Great Chapter. 10/10

-DENJI IS BAAAAAACK

-Glad to see a small return to Part 1's macabre action with the battle dialog and Denji's nonchalance at getting dismembered again. Whether Falling Devil will be able to counterattack or if Denji is immune to her despair ability remains to be seen.

-RIP sniper Devil Hunter, you had a better fate than that one guy last chapter.

-Man, after being virtually untouchable for several chapters, seeing Falling get run through with Denji's chainsaw was sooo satisfying.

I wonder how'll Asa and Yoru will factor into this Primal Devil's defeat, since rhe latter said that conventional human weapons can't hurt her and Asa/Yoru can theoretically produce inhuman weaponry/use Nuclear weapons if Denji coughs them up.

Overall, after the soberingly depressing past few chapters its great to have a moment of levity, just as things are getting wild again.

Of course, this was used to fight against the Falling Devil’s effects, and it’s another excellent example of how Fujimoto manages to blend humor, trauma, and action in one compelling comic. Les contaré una historia: Allá por el año 2000, yo estudiaba foto y estuve en la zona de prensa en el zócalo capitalino, cuando mi banda favorita @cafetacvba se presentó… Cuando me pasé la valla, me revisaron la mochilita que traía (de Pochaco, por supuesto) y vieron que traía una cámara reflex (análoga porque aún no existían en México las digitales) pero la abrí y les enseñé que no tenía rollo. Me dejaron pasar. Cuando me colé a la zona de prensa, un par de metros más adelante, y cubierta por los que un año después ya serían mis colegas, pude ponerle el rollo kodak blanco y negro que traía guardado. Me temblaban las manos y tenía que fijarme bien que quedara bien sujeto el rollo. Cerré el compartimiento y jalé logrando con ello, colocar el negativo en su lugar y poder disparar. Supongo que forcé el asa o iso, como prefieran, de 125 a 400, porque el grano está reventado en las impresiones, y necesitaba la mayor exposición por la poca cantidad de luz. Debía ayudarme de la velocidad para lograr congelados y no barridos. Y lo logré en su mayoría. Estas fotos son las que escogí de la hoja de contacto que imprimí en la escuela de foto, después de revelar el rollo, una clase antes. Y éstas son las ampliaciones que imprimí de esa selección. Me parece que también fue mi proyecto final, porque yo quería ser fotoreportera, no RP. Marmarabirlik, 2024/2025 iş yılı ürün alım kampanyası avans ürün alım fiyatlarını güncelleyerek, fark oranlarını açıkladı. 125 TL olarak belirlenen 180 dane fiyatı 139 TL, 45 TL olan yağlık zeytin fiyatı ise 47,24 TL olarak güncellendi.

BURSA (İGFA) – Zeytin alım kampanyasında son günlere yaklaşan Marmarabirlik, bu yılki alım kampanyası için açıkladığın avans ürün alım fiyatlarında güncellemeye gitti.

Kampanyada 2024/2025 iş yılı avans ürün alım fiyatları sofralık zeytinde tavan fiyat 180 dane 125 TL, taban fiyat 380 dane için 47 TL, yağlık zeytin fiyatı da 45 TL olarak açıklayan Marmarabirlik Yönetim Kurulu, Kooperatif Başkanları ve Yönetim Kurulları’nınkatılmış olduğu toplantıda nihai ürün alım fiyatlarını belirledi.

Konuyla ilgili açıklamada bulunan Marmarabirlik Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Hidamet Asa, Marmarabirlik’in piyasa koşullarını gözlemlediğini belirterek, “Yaptığımız piyasa araştırması ve incelemeler neticesinde büyük bir fiyat farkı oluşmamıştır. Buna göre 180 dane için nihai tavan fiyat 139 TL, 200 dane nihai fiyat 110 TL, 300 dane nihai fiyatı 61 TL, nihai 410 dane taban fiyat 48,30, yağlık zeytinde ise 47,25 TL olarak belirlendi. Zeytinyağı fiyatlarında yaşanan durgunluğarağmen üretimde devamlılığın sağlanması için üreticimize destek olmaya çalıştık” dedi.

Ürün alımlarının yüzde 50’sini 15 günlük periyotlarda peşin ödeyen Marmarabirlik’in, geri kalan ürün bedeli alacaklarının yarısının 21 Şubat 2025 tarihinde ödeneceğini belirten Başkan Asa, “Bu durumda ortakların toplam alacağının yüzde 75’i ödenmiş olacak. Avans fiyat farkları Marmarabirlik’in imkanları elverdiği  ölçüde ileri bir tarihte ödenecektir” dedi.

Tarihi bir rekoltenin gerçekleştiği enflasyonist sistemden kaynaklı olumsuzluklara rağmen, Marmarabirlik’i ve üreticiyi zorlu koşullarından korumak üzere geçtiğimiz yıl fiyatlarının avans fiyat olarak belirlendiğini belirten Başkan Asa, “2022-2023 ve 2024 yıllarında toplamda üreticimize yüzde 301 oranında fiyat artışı ile destek verdik. Satış tarafında ise böyle bir kazancın olmadığını herkes çok iyi biliyor. Marmarabirlik’in görevi üreticiden ürünü almak ve en iyi şekilde değerlendirmektir. Bir de tüketici tarafının düşünülmesi gerekir. Tüketici tarafında yani satışlarda sıkıntı yaşanmaması son derece önemli” diye konuştu.

İri dane konusunda ihtiyaç olmasına rağmen istenilen miktarda alım yapamadıklarını belirten Başkan Asa, iri dane stoklarının Eylül ayı itibari ile tükeneceğini, gerekirse üretici havuzundan ürün alabileceklerini ifade eden Başkan Asa, “Üreticimizden ürün tesliminden sonra herşeyin sona erdiğinin düşünülmemesi gerekir. Ürün alınırken kooperatif maliyetleri, firesi, ambalajı, üretim giderleri, pazarlama ve sevkiyat giderleri de unutulmamalıdır” diye konuştu.

Multadas doze empresas de venda de suplementos alimentares

Doze empresas que vendem suplementos alimentares foram multadas numa operação que a Autoridade Nacional de Segurança Alimentar e Económica (ASAE) realizou nas últimas semanas em todo o país.

A ASAE fiscalizou 125 operadores económicos na área da comercialização de suplementos alimentares, designadamente, ervanárias, lojas de “produtos naturais” e supermercados, entre outros.

Estas operações decorreram, tanto na vertente física como online, incluindo redes sociais, com o objetivo de verificar o cumprimento das normas legais aplicáveis a estes produtos, que se destinam a complementar e/ou suplementar um regime alimentar.

As principais infrações detetadas estão relacionadas com a falta de tradução para a língua portuguesa das menções obrigatórias, a comercialização de suplementos alimentares em incumprimento das regras de rotulagem, apresentação e publicidade, a falta de preços em bens, a falta do livro de reclamações em formato eletrónico e a falta de mera comunicação prévia, entre outras.

Durante estas operações foram ainda apreendidos 150 quilogramas de suplementos alimentares por inconformidades na rotulagem, tudo num valor aproximado de 4.150 euros.

A ASAE alerta que “continuará a desenvolver ações de fiscalização, no âmbito das suas competências, em todo o país, na salvaguarda da segurança alimentar e saúde pública dos consumidores e em prol de uma sã e leal concorrência entre operadores económicos”.

This chapter was great. Falling is just so fucking silly. She can afford to be because she has literally THE BEST regeneration we've seen in the entire series. Like this is Wolverine/Deadpool levels of bullshit regeneration speed and power. It's safe to rule out the idea that this is Chainfraud Man remember that theory from 125?

[Stupid Voice] Aww he loves her This fight is gonna end up happening around Asa/Yoru next chapter. Meaning it'll end up as a battle royal between Yoru Denji and Falling. Unless they decide to team up for the time being to deal with falling then they fight. I haven't really gone over this but I don't think anyone can actually see the Yoru scar on Asa. A Boy from the School It's more than likely this is a returning character but it could totally be a new one as well. Most likely this is Yoshida since he knows about Falling's appearance and the location of it. However this could also be the Chainsaw Man fanboy. Kishibe is a possibility but I doubt it since this isn't really how he speaks. So I'm gonna put my money on this being Yoshida.
