I have been consumed by the brainrot that is doublebattleshipping and PLA AUs that I make at night with my other crackhead ideas. Okay so like after Ingo gets Hisu'ed, Emmet gets a therapy/emotional support Walking wake because fuck yes thank you @bottle-of-harpoons for this Crack head of an idea, because I love me some good mental health (He was in Paldea for Teracrystallisation not because of time travel Boogaloo dang it. Also to see if Emmet can make battle strategy with it or ban it from the subway because it's to big SAFEY FIRST) Most of the paradox forms are ban from the subway because too big or will fuck up the train in battle. A year pass and Evelyn and Emmet start dating in secret from the media because the media always ruins a good relationship. They marry. ( Ingo now has been gone for 4 years they been dating for 2) the media catches on, they have twins named Rei and Akari ( it was suppose to be Akira it means Ideal but Emmet was verry tired and it was Akari but it could mean like the lights in gearstation or as in "up" because one of Rei's meaning is "return, resume, go backwards" :) I'm so funny. The reason why Akari looks like Dawn is because she is her Idol much to Iris disappointment. Rei is just a coincidence. Either way Dawn is in Hisui just doing Galaxy team thing and oh look two children fall from the sky, they both look like Survey corps members Rei and Akari (dawn and Lucas) but they also look a bit like Warden Ingo? Dawn takes them to Jubilife village because what kind of sicko leaves two kids that are like 5 or 6 in the wilds. Ingo is there at Jubilife this time when Dawn kicks down the doors ( not really) going " Holy Helix! Ingo I found kids!" Lucas looks at the kids then to warden Ingo then to the two unconscious kids in Dawn's arms. " Ingo did you spawn kids?" Ingo give a face of confusion. Akari awakens and says it very bluntly that her father would be proud, " I am Akari what the heck am I." Ingo's fragments of memories are screaming because she acts like Emmet. Rei wakes up and the first thing he does is cry, because he is in a strange place that guy looks like his dad and he just got kidnapped by some look a likes. Akari bites Dawn and Dawn yelps and drops them both, the siblings run Ingo, Dawn, and Lucas chase after them they are on the pokemon battle field, Akari pulls out her Pokeball which Rei does too, Lucas is so confused right now. Dawn is hesitant about fighting two little children. Akari screams "Fight me coward!" She smells the her hesitation. " I am Akari. And this is my little brother Rei, I like to win more than anything else!" " I am Rei, w-will your tracks line up towards v-victory or will you be crushed in defeat." Both children yelled, " ALL ABOARD!" Akari sends out a strange Zorua, and Rei sends out Axew. Ingo is getting flashs, Akari sends out her Decidueye, Rei sends out Pikachu. " Zorua use sludge bomb on the bird!" " Pikachu use Iron tail." " Axew make sure it doesn't hit you!" " It has sludge bomb!!?'

(Akari and Rei lost their pokemon are Level sixteen to 20 they couldn't beat 62 level pokemon. Not even with enough plot armor)

Meanwhile: Emmet

When his kids went missing, and team Neo Plasma was trying to gain power, his first instinct was to destroy them, which he did, Rosa live streamed it. Then future Volo tries to convince Emmet to his side saying I know where his kids are at, which lead to Evelyn and Emmet beating the living crap out of him. I mean Volo it sounds like you kidnapped them or work with the person who kidnapped them. And then Arceus because he needs to get to Hisui to protect his kids. And now they in Hisui. Emmet has Chandelure out to track their soul energy, and Evelyn grabs him to check the sky for higher ground with her Latios, remember Latios pokedex says it can go to Mach 4 so it's really fast so imagine your Sabi, you are flying with Lord Braviary and your vision says hey something fast and blue is going to pass you and you turn and a streak of blue flys by and then you see in your vision that was a Ingo in white and a women in blue. Wait what.

They end up in Jubilife village, so people panic because Emmet wears white and red, you know who else is white and red, Hisuian Zoroark. Akari and Rei sees them, and scream, " Mama! Papa!" While running to them. " Rei! Akari!" They hug, family reunion. (Looks at Ingo)

" Kids" Evelyn said.

" Yes mom?" Both their children replied.

" Your grounded."

" Whyyyyyyy?" Akari

" You uncoupled your trains from ours." Their father said.

" Emmet?"

Emmet turns around to only stare at his missing brother, and is that the Chamion of Sinnoh??

"Ingo?!"

"Your married???"

"You look like you got ran over by a train?"

Cue akward family reunion Between brothers.

I wanted to make reference sheets for the three, even though i took a ton of inspo from many things but its for investment i promise i promise

Those three are friends in this AU, they are all in the present world and they are like a family to each other tbh, they might get into a few arguments but they talk it out later on.

To be fair i think those three would give each other kisses, not in a romantic way though, its just more of a platonic thing i guess??

The three of them own dragon type pokemon, from gen 4, 6 and 8 (me like even numbers dont mind me), i kinda felt like these pokemon fit them best by personality (im not exactly sure for 100%)

Dropping the lore here :

The only way Adaman and Irida could go back and out of Hisui was by Volo taking them with him by going through portals with Giratina, of course the two of them got frightened at the sight of Giratina showing up right in front of their eyes for the first time but they got used to it later on.

As a gift of gratitude from Volo for still being accepted by Adaman and Irida even after everything he's done in the past, he made and gave a clone of Origin Dialga and Origin Palkia to them so that they could also travel through the portals or around the world without his help (he's getting tired from babysitting them pls let him live).

Adaman and Irida just live with Lucas, Dawn and Barry in Twinleaf Town, sometimes Volo comes by to visit them and hang out with them. Lucas and Dawn dont have memories of Rei and Akari, so they have no idea of what Volo used to be back then, if they would then oh boy they would try to kill him.

{With Dialga} Adaman possesses Steel type powers (or Metal Bending as they say), he uses it a lot for combat but also for reaching high places if he cant go up there or reach it by climbing, he bends the metal into a form of a long rope in order to get up there.

{With Palkia} Irida has Water type powers (or Water Bending), she is not really the type of a person to fight but she rather heals others, it also works on pokemon too, though sometimes she can kick ass once in a while if anyone drives her mad.

{With Giratina and Arceus} Volo has all the elements, including Dark type powers but he never uses those as he only sees the bad in them and never wishes to use them, reminding him a lot of Cyrus {bro hates him more than anything}, with Volo being an Archon, he can summon pretty much every pokemon, including the legendaries and mythical ones, and the ultra beasts, even though the legendaries are gods too and are feared by many, Volo however just sees them as misunderstood creatures/beings, as he has a better bond with them than with his own people.

Volo despises humans, he only sees the bad in them as he has only seen the bad things that humans did, and with Volo being isolated in Arceus's realm and being there for about 280 years (met Arceus at 20), he cant really change his opinion about it, even if he has friends that are different than the rest of the humans, Volo still has doubts that humans are good, unless proven to him. Sure, Volo is the archon and savior of this world and he is trying his best to make the world a better with no wars or catastrophies, he hates humans, but he just wants peace, but he is aware that even if this happens one day then the peace wont last forever, the world cant remain peaceful for eternity, theres always going to be something happening all the time and he will have to deal with it on his own.

Ooo good idea! Here's a few fics I adore to pieces and have reread more than a few times:

Summary: The only constant is this: they find each other. The how might change, but the why doesn’t, and the why is what matters, here. (The why is this: one never stops searching, and one never stops hoping.)

(Made me cry multiple times. Happy endings and heartfelt reunions: it's got everything you need to feel good inside. My favorite chaoters are 3 and 8)

Ounce of Prevention (incomplete)

Summary: If one suspects strangers of causing the apocalypse, one generally should not allow them to continue to roam free. They should ideally be restrained until their innocence (or guilt) can be proven. Even if one of them is a child and openly sobbing at the thought of her only family hating her. Even if the other one's absence is probably going to be noticed by a very large, very dangerous Pokémon.

Elsewhere, the rift spits out a man in white. He's not her Warden, but Sneasler will take all the help she can get in finding him.

(ABSOLUTELY INSANELY GOOD like this is one of my favorite submas fics. Just thrilling and had be binge it in a frenzy. Awesome action scenes, cool plot, and badass Emmet, like seriously Emmet's characterization here is god tier and I think about it constantly. I actually drew a comic based on a scene from this fic here. )

In Tandem (Incomplete)

Summary: Or in which Arceus calls upon two pairs of twins to stop two doomsday plots simultaneously.

Ingo and Emmet are summoned to two different Jubilifes, to two different teenagers to aid them in their seemingly innocent journeys for reasons they do not fully understand. Dark machinations are at work though, and if everyone wants to get home safe at the end of the day it will take every ounce of strength, conviction and courage to brave the trials set before them.

(A verrrry good story: good plot (like you'll get invested), good action, good pacing, and good characterization! I haven't read many fics with Lucas and Dawn and this ones just amazing. I wait patiently for its updates)

The Hand (Complete)

Summary: It was something Ingo always wondered about.

(Unexpected premise but I really like it for some reason and have reread it multiple times)

Give Not Into Sorrow (Complete)

Summary: Something strange is going on in Hisui. There are reports of a man in white roaming the wildlands while leading a pack of Pokemon . Some say they're a mix of Pokemon, some claim they're a pack of zoroarks. Some swear that the man is none other than the amnesiac warden of the Pearl Clan. One thing is certain. Those who meet the man in white all report the same thing: He is looking for his brother. And he will not rest until he finds him.

(Absolutely beautiful and heart wrenching. Deal with grief, with anger and with holding on and letting go. Drew a comic for this just yesterday too)

Conductor of Stone (Completed)

Summary: Ingo was not alone when he woke up in the region of Hisui.

There was a man next to him who shared his face. With a body as cold as ice.

Who are you?

A Land of the Lustrous au! Cool concept and excellent writing that sucks you in. This is actually part of a series which is also very good. The author, PerpetuallySleepy, is a favorite of mine too and they have a bunch of other ones shot fics I recommend checking out!

Intermittent Retention (Complete)

Summary: In theory, the space-time distortions should not overly effect Ingo's daily routine. They certainly wouldn't, if he could remember what happens after he steps inside of them. Even that could be overlooked, reluctantly, if Ingo weren't overwhelmingly drawn to them despite their amnesia-inducing properties. Or if anyone else had this problem. Something happens to Ingo when time and space break down around him, something that leaves him with fierce joy and crippling grief he cannot find a source for, and he's going to figure out what in the world is going on.

Diamond Crossing (Complete)

Summary: So, here’s the thing. Elesa’s best friend is a little…weird.

She means it in the nicest way possible. But there’s no getting around the fact that Coop is weird.

Their mood swings are all over the place, very serious at one moment and unhinged child at the next. They sprouted train facts at the drop of the hat, insisted on not only being in charge of Gear Station but taking it a step further and turning Gear Station into the Battle Subway. They’re honestly crazy for that alone.

Elesa does her modeling career on top of being a Gym Leader and a lot of people think she’s crazy. She will argue that it’s nothing compared to Coop running the entire transportation system for Nimbasa City on top of being a Battle Facility.

She adores Coop though. She really means it when she says Coop is her best friend. And no matter how crazy Coop comes across as, she knows Coop won't hurt anyone.

("Well, there are exceptions, of course," Coop says, tone serious and expression set to a frown. "We don’t allow unruly passengers for starters." They then smiled, brightening. "And anyone who makes Elesa cry will be tied to the train track and run over." )

well sure! truth be told iridium is kinda just me going “here’s how i would change the plots of pokémon stories if i had creative control!” and being very self indulgent with it, so it’s not like it’s one big overarching story, but i’d say one of the major themes is definitely legendary pokémon and how they interact with the world! i treat them more like gods than really powerful pokémon (you know, how green myths will have stories of the gods screwing around and messing with mortals all the time) because i think legendary pokémon are so cool and i like them :]

i crammed all the protagonists together on this canvas so there they all are but i’ll try to summarize the different arcs as best as i can

RED AND BLUE (gen 1): team rocket has taken over kanto and johto and fused them into The Rocket Empire. giovanni has captured the legendary birds and keeps them as pets. red tries and fails to stop giovanni from using mewtwo to unlock travel to alternate dimensions. he gets so sad about this he goes to live alone on a mountain

GOLD AND GREEN (gen 2): green, red’s kid friend, wants to get red down from the mountain. gold, the heir to team rocket (he’s basically like if gold and silver fused) tries to stop her from messing with the rockets. archer, a former rocket leader who defected, befriends green because they both wanna take down the rockets. red comes down from mt silver at the end, revealing the legendary beasts were protecting him up there

EMERALD (gen 3): may and her family (norman and zinnia) are the last of the draconids. archie and maxie are trying to expand the land/expand the sea. near the end of their evil plans they get possessed by groudon and kyogre who are mad that nobody worships them anymore (because they’re jerks). may and rayquaza work together to beat them. maxie dies during a cave in at the cave of origin so archie puts on a magical suit of armour and hunts down jirachi at the battle frontier to try and get three wishes to revive him, with the help of frontier brain lucy who wants to retire in a big mansion full of hunky boys because she’s sick of being a frontier brain

DIAMOND AND PEARL (gen 4): dawn and lucas are the human disguises of dialga and palkia who get sent down to earth every time giratina gets incarnated into another human vessel that’s about to cause trouble (it’s a banishment thing). in the past they were sent to defeat volo (legends arceus) but now they’re sent to defeat cyrus. cyrus ends up breaking the cycle by going into the distortion world and living there happily

BLACK AND WHITE (gen 5): rosa is a plasma researcher and sees colress as a father figure. her and n take a journey across a slowly-freezing-over unova. ghetsis and colress are secretly behind it using kyurem’s ice powers, but they’re using panic and fearmongering about the great freeze to get people to release their pokémon. rosa has a crisis of faith about her mentor

X AND Y (gen 6): zeena (daughter of looker and anabel) is about to become a real interpol agent, she just needs to solve the mystery of team flare in kalos. it’s a bunch of rich kids who believe beauty is the only important thing and that the beautiful should be the judge, jury, and executioner since they’re the worthy ones. in a dramatic twist it’s revealed that professor sycamore was the leader of team flare all along. when he tries to use yveltal to construct the ultimate weapon, yveltal and xerneas get so mad at him that they curse him to be stuck in between life and death

SUN AND MOON (gen 7): moon is a rocket empire refugee that moved to alola. her and lillie have to stop an emotionally unstable guzma from teaming up with the great magician lusamine and basically hunting the ultra beasts for sport. alola’s tradition hangs in the balance as both outsiders and frustrated insiders attack it. poni island gets burnt down. episode rainbow rocket happens where giovanni finally returns from his multiversal travels, revealing successful versions of every team leader so far (and some guy named raihan) that he’s poisoned with nihilego toxins to get them to work for him. moon and a defector (named twozma) kick their butts so hard that giovanni retires and kanto and johto get to be individual regions again

SWORD AND SHIELD (gen 8): leon is of royal blood, having descended from leonidas, the first king of galar. through a series of events, eternatus (a lovecraftian cosmic horror) possesses leon to use as his vessel in his ultimate quest to take over galar and absorb all the power on the planet. raihan has daddy issues.

SCARLET AND VIOLET (gen 9): thanks to sada and turo, paldea gets shattered across dimensions, so now there exists two versions of it: one stuck in the past and one stuck in the future. the ai counterparts of sada and turo have to help two kids, marisol and pedro, fix it and turn paldea back to normal. champions are evil. blueberry academy is evil. kieran turns his enemies into cursed masks

Ngl in your shackled revelations au, I’m imagining doku getting ganged up by the 20+ rivals who are PISSED that he killed their either best friends (or romantic partner in the case of like Blue because those two are pretty much a married couple at this point), the legendary pokemon whom the protagonists bonded with, and even a few of the evil teams like team star or yell because of the above.

also are Liko and Satoshi canon to the verse cuz I’d feel like Dokutaro would research him the most.

Actually, that does happen in the final storyline of the AU. Essentially, they are EXTREMELY PISSED OFF when they find out. However, they can't immediately go in guns blazing, they need to defeat all the mind controlled pokemon and trainers, knock every single secret base out, take out and find the 25-27 generals of Pecharunt. It'll be explained in due time. Speaking of the generals, some are actually the real killers of the protags and some have connections to some of the them:

Ethan: Ethan encountered one of the generals in Bellsprout Tower. The general proceeded to chase and attack Ethan. Ethan, thinking it’s just a regular pokemon to attack him, however, this proved to be a near-fatal mistake. Not being on the same level, his team got wiped, Ethan couldn’t even see the appearance properly for some reason, and he felt one thing that overpowered him: fear. He needed to run, and get out of here. However, due to the general’s ability to produce oil and paint that can mess with the mind (in this case, cause extreme dizziness), Ethan stumbled through the tower and barely got out before passing out. He was hurried to the nearby hospital to rest. He was still a bit shaken from this incident.

Lucas: In this AU, he's the professor's assistant, but does accompany Dawn and Barry later on, however, he does get whisked off to Hisui by Arceus and goes by the alias Rei prior to the events of the game. Later he ends up finding a 'shiny' gligar when completing the dex. Let's just say, it wasn't a gligar. That incident scarred him and was one of the few times it scared the hell out of him. The same Pokémon is also the reason why he stopped his journey (when he got back in Sinnoh) after the 4th badge as the same Pokemon killed one of his team members. So he hasn’t battled since then. He only got back into the battling after some encouragement from Dawn and Barry.

Hilda: In this AU, she alongside her twin are the heroes chosen by the dragons. She encountered one of the generals, thinking that he’s a regular trash bag when she wanted to throw her trash. She only found out when it stood up at a rapid speed upon noticing her appearance. She just finished her 5th gym badge so feeling slightly confident, she took the Pokémon on wanting to catch it, it proved to be a mistake. The general wiped out her team but he wasn’t done yet, the moment he saw Hilda, he said in clear English: “You are the one”, before approaching Hilda at a rapid speed, Hilda didn’t know what to do so she just ran. When she looked back she saw that the general was wielding a…knife? It was pretty late at night so she couldn’t see. Just before the ‘knife’ stabbed her, her brother (Hilbert), Cheren and Bianca arrived to help her. They all engaged in a brawl before the general had to retreat. Till this day, neither knew who or what attacked them.

Serena: She alongside her neighbor Calem are the main protags in this AU. She encountered one of the generals in Lumoise City, she got an invitation when she woke up in the morning in the Pokémon Centre. The invitation says that she was invited to an Opera Play called ‘The Phantom of The Opera’. The invitation says to follow a specific set of instructions to the place. The place ended up being an abounded Opera house in Lumoise city, far from any place. She was told to pay 4000 Pokédollars to enter despite the lack of the door. Nevertheless, she paid the exact amount before entering. Serena disappeared for exactly 8 days, 8 hours, 8 minutes and 8 seconds before she was discovered lying unconscious outside the Opera House. She claims to recall the events, when she woke up, there was a piece of paper in her hands that says ‘Thank you for watching The Phantom of The Opera, we hope to see you again!’

Florian: In this AU, he alongside his twin are the protags and he is the Violet side. He encountered one of the generals when he was looking for a dunsparse for his team. When he encountered the general, he was about to battle thinking it was a regular dunsparse, the general revealed the whole thing before Florian could send out a Pokeball. The general’s eyes turned red and blue, flashing through both with swirls like when he was hypnotizing Florian. When the general was done, he went back underground with Florian falling unconscious after being hypnotized. Florian woke up the next morning as his sister found him, he mentioned that he doesn’t recall anything that night. He claims to be fine but for the next 8 days, he started to have an insatiable greed for power. So he trained his team relentlessly and not caring for anybody. It only stopped after Juliana and their mother’s support helped him. Till now, he doesn’t know why he had this feeling.

Juliana: Like with Florian, same info except she represents the scarlet side. She met a general outside Levincia city. When she accidentally encountered one, it appeared to be friendly and didn’t seem to attack her, ultimately she decided to catch it. This proved to be a mistake. The general dropped its disguise and shocked Juliana badly, leaving her with some electrical burns. Her pokemon, went out to battle the general, while some helped her to carry up on Koraidon. The general quickly defeated her pokemon with ease, while the remaining got returned and Koraidon immediately dashed as fast as possible away from the attacker. However, the general was fast and was able to close in the distance, however, due to being close to Medali City, Rika and Larry were to able to deter away the general, and because of the need to conceal their identities, the general left. Once that happened, Juliana was treated for her injuries with Florian being informed of the situation.

Now, sorry if I rambled on for too long but yeah, that’s what happened. And the people who are close to the protags are royally screwed.

As for Liko and Ash, they’re not canon to this AU. This only has the main series games. However, in my trivia post about Pecharunt, this one should ambiguously answer your question

So, yes, he did actually do some research on both Ash and Liko on Bulbapedia (yes, that Bulbapedia). He’s even aware of other dimensions, AUs and timelines, you can see the post relating to his quotes. However, this does mean he’s aware of your ‘Kaijumorpha’ Au as well as ‘Scars of Black and White’. His main thoughts are interesting and ‘Ghetsis being Ghetsis’ respectively. Also, I would say if Kaijuran (Kaiju Kieran) and SR Pecharunt fought. It’s a one-sided beatdown for Kaijuran, details on his power level next time.

NOTES FOR MYSELF to ponder. But while I’ll let a lot of the info coming out from these leaks stew, I want to start compiling notes of things of interest. Since some of this lines up with stuff I’ve already considered/is similar but takes it in a different direction, but I like the added implications. So will maybe add to this as time goes. Note that it was the Pokemon/Human Pokemon stuff I found most interesting so a lot of this is that. The other piece of worldbuilding I’ve always felt is lingering on the edges that even I debate how much I want to touch. But if something is there I can’t help but consider the implications. Also yes, I know the beta leaks often contradict each other/are unreleased for a reason but still picking and choosing what I like, particularly when it compliments ideas I already have.

Dialga is alpha coded and Palkia is omega coded, or at least if I was going to assign this duo that designation like I did with Xerneas and Yveltal, this would make the most sense

Reasoning -> From one of the creation myths mentioning Dialga is the dad and Palkia is the mom of the Lake Trio

Other interesting thing of note is a different myth mentioning something to the effect of humans being descended from Palkia while Pokemon are descended from Dialga. Perhaps why Palkia is bipedal while Dialga is on all fours from a design standpoint.

Humans likely fall into the Field/Water 1 egg group (previously had assumed they would just be Human-Like but apparently not)

Reasoning -> If one looks at all the Pokemon that are mentioned in the “human/Pokemon relationship” myths that result in children, these are the shared egg groups that they would fall into.

Circling back to the humans descended from Palkia thing, perhaps they get their Water 1 typing from Palkia. Is part water.

I think about the dubious Word Of God note about N being born from Pokemon too much and would you look at who falls in the Field egg group. Zoroark. Ghetsis + Zoroark = N looking more and more viable since would also easily match the vibe of those stories. Zoroark being based on a yokai (kitsune) who in some legends tricks human men by appearing human. Some even marrying said human man and having his children. It’s like…kinda spot on the vibe of those other myths. To the point I’m convinced it was actually considered as a possible origin point for N at some point. But I do still greatly dislike the N is a Zoroark theory so ignoring this one (the myths do at least let the mom Pokemon give birth to human children tho so have an out! N’s not a Zoroark but his mom is).

Celestica people are direct descendants of Arceus.

Reasoning -> From the creation myth that talks about Arceus talking the form of a women, marrying a human man, and having his children (who seem to be prototype Dialga and Palkia, but again, multiple beta myths here so often contradict each other).

But the point here is I had already considered how the “God Touched Blood” thing that gives Cogita and Volo their long life spans is probably directly related to Arceus somehow. So what if that connection was just literal. At the very least, from a mythology standpoint, I’m sure the legends of the Celestica people say they’re descended from Arceus. Thus why Volo is feeling extra justified in becoming the god of the new world. Whether true or not (and even he probably doubts the myths are meant to be literal), legend says he is directly descended from Arceus. If the blood of God runs through his veins, why wouldn’t he be justified in making a new, better world where Arceus is failing.

Lucas/Rei’s Hisuian Typhlosian is his over protective/possessive wannabe suitor (will I actually run this one for real. Who knows, but I’m pondering).

This one is 1000% just me acting up but I keep thinking about it anyway. That Typhlosian myth and its implications (still the best one of the bunch). I know the true reason they used Typhlosian for Hisui is likely because it’s meant to be based around a mujina (but also…that’s why the Typhlosian in the myth can shapeshift. Cause obviously based on the same yokai). And I’ve seen enough art of Hisuian Typhlosian being over protective of the protag that leans on the possessive side. Gets me thinking (also if the anime can run a Pokemon in love with their trainer plotline like they did with Ash and Chikorita, why can’t I do it too 😤).

I just think it would be funny if Rei is oblivious to the whole thing. Is use to his Pokemon being affectionate with him, particularly when he thinks about his old team (who he still deeply misses). And while he’s not use to one of his Pokemon seeming to want to drive off certain other humans the way Typhlosian does, he does have his Pokemon protect him the first couple times he goes into heat. So kind of assumes it’s a carryover of that. Fighting off any alpha who are perceived as showing too much interest. Just an odd quirk. Obviously Volo is the main love rival Typhlosian extra doesn’t like (cause is making the most progress with Rei out of everyone. Can tell Rei likes him even if Volo isn't making a move). But does try to drive off other potential suitors as well.

Again, Rei is oblivious since he’s not well versed in myths/folklore. Or even if he know about the myth is just like “oh silly made up mythology with no basis in reality, Pokemon and humans having that kind of a relationship isn't a real thing.” Would not see any type of serious parallel. But you know who is super well versed in myths and their origin? Mr Volo. So surely he would notice/know there is a basis for the myth. I don’t think he would care at all on the early side of things. Would be amused by the situation if anything, particularly the bit about Rei being too naive to notice. I debate if he would drop little hints to Rei about just how affectionate his Typhlosian is towards him, just to see if Rei picks up on anything (poor taste joke would be saying something to the effect of making sure he doesn't end up his Pokemon's little cave wife, but even I don't think Volo would say something like that early on in their relationship while he's being extra sure to "play nice." Later on once he lets his edge slip in every once in a while tho...). Once he and Rei are fucking, would still not actually care. Even if Typhlosian was extra hostile towards him, would just be like “too bad, I won” (and then tell himself competing with a Pokemon of all things is beneath him, so not going to seriously acknowledge the situation).

Idk the idea of them as somehow being lowkey love rivals is funny to me since Rei the whole time before The Incident is just like “will I ever see Barry again :(“ when he thinks of anything romance related. Beating back his feelings for Volo and oblivious in general to most other potential suitors.

[Scorching Sandgems] Professor Rowan

Sandgem Town, Sinnoh

Professor Rowan and Leaf were standing with each other, waiting for someone to enter. In the meantime, Leaf was showing Rowan her Interstellar Dex.

They were looking at a particularly strange creature.

"A 'Sirenade'?"

"Yeah. Ammy and I saw some girl turn into one while we were hopping from world to world. Apparently it comes from this place called 'New Wirral' or something. I didn't get much more information than that sadly."

"Hm. Interesting. It looks like there's more to this multiverse theory than we originally thought."

Just then, the door was opened and both Lucas and Sapphire let themselves in.

"I brought her like you asked, Professor." Lucas walked over to the Professor and the Aide. "Sorry we're late. Arceus and Giratina had to go to investigate the earthquake at the nearby lake."

"That's alright." Rowan nodded before looking at Sapphire, who stopped in front of the three of them. "Hm. Sapphire, was it? I heard about you from Leaf. She said that you used to be a Champion in your own world."

"That's right, Professor Rowan sir." She nodded. "...at least until… well… you know--" Sapphire started shifting around a little.

Rowan closed his eyes. "My deepest condolences. These past several years must have been tough on you and the survivors of your world."

Leaf looked at Sapphire. "Anyway, you still wanna start your journey as a Pokémon Trainer? We want to help you with that, if we can ask a favor of you."

"A favor? What's that?"

Rowan hopped in. "We are currently studying the various habits of Pokémon, how they adapt, and how the various world events have affected them. As such, I wanted to entrust a Pokédex to you, as well as to start you off with one of those three Pokémon over there. Do you think that you can help us?"

Sapphire nodded. "Of course! I helped Professor Birch with his back home, so I can help with this region's."

"A good answer. Now, please choose your first Pokémon over there. I also included some cards for more information on each of them."

Sapphire nodded and walked over to the table. In front of her were three Pokéballs as well as cards of the Pokémon that they inhabited. Turtwig, the Tiny Leaf Pokémon. Chimchar, the Chimp Pokémon. Piplup, the Penguin Pokémon. She's heard of each of them before, and have challenged each of their final evolutions in the past. Sapphire started to remember some of the trainers that she knew with the Pokémon: Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum were quite the interesting trio.

Sapphire looked at Turtwig and thought of Platinum: the professor aide where Lucas now stood in this world…. Sapphire remembered her energetic yet commanding demeanor. While she wasn't the best battler of the bunch, Platinum always kept true to herself and to her friends.

Sapphire looked at Chimchar and thought of Diamond: the boy that stopped Team Galactic. Now that she thinks about it, Lucas had a striking resemblance to her Diamond, although they were in a different position. Like Chimchar and Infernape, Diamond was bright and full of potential, but fiery and deterministic. He always had a sense of justice that carried him through the incident with Team Galactic and beyond, becoming Champion of the region. She thought of him and smiled. She hoped that his final days fighting for what he believed in was full of that determination and not of regret.

Then… there was Piplup. She knew who had one in her world: Pearl… the rushed and free-flowing boy…. Pearl, the boy that wished to keep up with his father. She remembered him well -- especially about the several times where he claimed that she owed him a million dollars. Despite his desires and hastiness, he, too, had a strong sense of justice. She remembered the talks they had and the details they shared…. She remembered listening to him talk about how he felt in his father's shadow -- how he wished to one day do something great like erect his own gym or find his own Battle Zone…. She remembered how he spoke of his friends and his Pokémon…. How the encounter with Jupiter completely upended his life. They spent so much time and so many battles together in the short time they spent with each other….

Sapphire… still missed him. She… still loved him.

She wished to honor him… at least for this once. Maybe she can see what he saw.

While in Pokémas it starts that Dawn and Lucas isn't Akari and Rei, I believe that which ever is the faller is supposed to be the present character but they can't say in Pokémas since they don't want to say who the MC is but I like the idea that they both are fallers but don't realise that the other is from modern time too.

Also after playing through PLA as both Akari and Rei (they get different dialogue options) unless you choose the dialogue options saying you have amnesia, it's entirely possible that they remember their life before falling. If they are both fallers than its possible that whoever fell first lost their memory like Ingo which is why they don't recognise their friend.

My only problem with Masters when it comes to the protagonists is that they always seem to default to the male MC regardless of popularity or other factors. Like, mixing it up here and there could be controversial, I get it, but I also want a female MC in Masters, you know?

For example, I literally never spared a thought about Hilbert bc I always chose Hilda in bw, same as Rosa and Nate, and yet the guys are the MCs in Masters. Okay, cool, I could be okay with that, but my main issue comes up with certain events like the festival one, where it's implied Hilda knows N and everyone else, but is never stated how or why, when she's not the MC nor does she seem to be friends with the main cast. I chose this example in particular bc the bw games are not like the rest where the not chosen MC still shows up as either a side character or rival. They just don't. So what's up with that.

That's why I think they will default again to the male MC for Legends Arceus and we'll have Rei as the protagonist while Akari remains as the professor assistant, somehow still involved in the mess of landing in Pasio.

I like the idea that they're both fallers, too, just that the first one to land wasn't as eye catching and just showed up before the Galaxy Team went to Hisui, so literally no one there knows. Kinda like Ingo, just showed up one day and no one really questioned it afterwards bc to their knowledge they were already there lmao.

If the first to land was also professor Rowan's assistant, the situation of showing the MC the ropes would also feel familiar and resonate with them, which would also speedrun their original friendship. Remember that Rowan's assistant helps in the tutorial part of the D/P/Pl games too!

My hand slipped

I have been drowning in this AU I came up with. A ash in Hisui au. :) Okay so Ash gets sent to Hisui, without Pikachu (and its pre journeys ash), because if Ingo can't have his team neither can Ash. Ash was picked up by the Diamond clan, and has amnesia, worst than Ingo (headcannon Arceus takes all your memories and name so you can be his champion basically not have Ingo's longing for home) he can't remember anything including his name, which he dubs himself Satoshi. And became lady Zoroark's warden because heck yeah. ( I have too many timelines for this au help) Pokemon team is Alpha Raichu, Hisuian Goodra ( feels familiar but different), Espeon (haha red reference), Hisuian Arcainine ( it trigger a memory of a orange head boy with the same pokemon but different), lucario, and Weavile ( it needs some love Okay). Lady Zoroark is a guide for the alabaster forest and the bone chill waste. Satoshi is covered in baby zorua all the time. When Rei and Ingo disappear ( Arceus forgo Ash, and Rei needs love) Satoshi is the only skyfaller left in Hisui and someone wants the Clan leaders dead, and the assassination attempt just so happen when Diamond clan was invited to Pearl clan area, and both Ash and his Lucario get killed protecting the leaders, his Lucario goes first and Ash is Spiteful and in the snow a Zorua howl is heard from Ash's corpse and a Shiny Zorua emerged and with bitter malice it kills the attackers and Ash leaves. Only for 200 years Arceus has a oh shit moment and text Satoshi and says "find thy other fallers of sky of Hisui and then find thy memories" and resurrects his hisuian team. Rei and ingo land in Professer Ceris lab with the pokemon back. Instead of Ash and Goh its Gary and Goh. Satoshi is a Zoroark now and still has his flute his Lady died years ago he has now taken her place but not really he took a long nap. Ends up teleporting to Aloha, which Goh, Rei (Lucas), Gary, and Ingo go because Ultra wormholes, and for our fallers to truly greive about their friends and fellow sky faller. They broke in used computers and had a crisis about their deaths. And in Aloha the fallers reunite and Gary gets to met Ash.

Ash is N anscestor so any love interest from the past series didn't win.

Characters

Juliette [Sycamore] - the head doctor of the Blue Cross (an × shape instead of +). Doesn't like pokemon because she's dealt with so many pokemon-related injuries. Not a fan of the city's renovation for how it's causing more pokemon-human injuries. Juliette (July) like Augustine (August). Xerneas. Prof Sycamore's curly hair pulled back into a bun; streaks of grey at her temples. Has her descendant's typical flair when talking about medical innovation.

Liliane [Fleur-de-lis] - Kalosian royalty, a descendant of the ancient king. The main financial backer of Lumiose City's huge renovation—and thus, also the protagonist. Liliane because... lilies, and I couldn't find a great lion name that wasn't trying too hard. Yveltal doesn't tie in as neatly. Maybe death of the old ways, in with the new? Long red hair like the female version of that lion pokemon I forgot the name of. Not wearing Lys's Yveltal gijinka suit.

Governor Désiré. Diantha's ancestor. The political force behind the renovation... and yes, this does follow the PL:A template, thabks for noticing. He's the "twist" villain, seeking to build a version of the Ultimate Weapon in Lumiose Plaza that's powered by none other than... *drumroll* Diancie! He wants to build a beautiful city and then turn it all, people and pokemon included, into Diancie's pink diamond so it's "beautiful forever." The Governor's Mansion has pink diamond statues which he refers to as his "beloved pokemon." Masc version of Diantha's face structure with the same base hair color, but styled in a perfect Politician's Cut with perfect streaks of grey at his temples... almost like he dyes his hair. Maybe he doesn't even leave grey streaks. Dresses in white suits with pink accents, a white ruffle collar with a pink diamond gem.

Emmet <3. He's in The Tunnels, for some reason. What tunnels? Well. IDK if catacombs would fit Pokemon (but it would certainly fit the life/death theme). If not actual catacombs, then some sort of ancient Diancie-created tunnel structure. He remembers more about the past/future than Ingo—same with my Serena vs Lucas. Why? Because it's my story, and I want them both to suffer in new ways. Emmet is seen as a strange ghost-like figure who haunts the tunnels, looking for his brother (how to find a way home).

Serena - originally from Unova, from the same town as Rosa (B2W2 protag), but a year younger than her. Moved after the Kyurem thing. Loves fashion, looks up to Elesa.

Mechanics

Serena (as the MC) needs to change clothes to fit in different parts of the city (like Looker doing disguise stuff; my Lucas has Looker's detective skills)

Zygarde is the "sponsor" this time, much like Arceus in PL:A. Some sort of Zygarde-tablet-thingy. But also Serena needs to do the Find Zygarde's Cells quest, because of course she does.

I don't really have any other mechanics. This section was just made to include the fashion thing.

Oops, I forgot about Mega Evolution. It's there, I guess.

I just remembered Hoopa. It helps Serena travel around the city and get into places she shouldn't be in. Why, when its chaos is the opposite of Zygarde's order? IDK, Governor Désiré probably pissed it off.

Other

It's Paris in the late 19th century. It's gross. It's overpopulated. Greedy capitalists abound, and so do the horrors of poverty. There's also an overconsuming Royal Class. She has to hold onto her ideals despite all the signs pointing to the "easy out" of Lysandre's hardcore-Malthusian philosophy. She succeeds with flying colors, because "kill all the poors and unworthy so humanity has enough to survive" is a terrible philosophy.

Might be redundant because Zygarde, but a major theme is ecology and ecosystems.

Emmet and Ingo both disappeared and came back in 2011; BW happens in 2010, B2W2 happens in 2012, XY happens in 2013, and Serena disappears a few years after 2013. Emmet remembers being in the past, and is very alarmed when a younger Serena becomes the Kalosian champion. Elesa, who is troubled by how much the twins have changed and how little she knows, eventually gets in contact with Serena. When? IDK. I just want them to meet up eventually.

Lysandre isn't dead in the present time. Even in Y, in-game dialogue implies he's still alive. There was plenty of time to drag him out of the Ultimate Weapon.

Perhaps Zygarde traveled through an Ultra Wormhole to bring Serena back and prevent Désiré's dumbassery... but got scattered into Z Cells. Or maybe Hoopa brought it to the present, but on the way back to the past it had to use an UW and got scattered. IDK, I'm just trying to figure out a way for post-games Lucas and Serena to meet in Alola (to harass Looker and give Nanu a headache ofc).

The world of Pokémon is vast: in the vast regions you journey through, amongst the creatures you grow close to, in various people you meet. Many tales can be told as one makes their way through the generations, no matter what game you begin with or at what age you start. Even if the story ends all the same, it’s the in-between that has entertained many for years.

With every game I play, I like to create little backstories for the MCs I play as. I also like to have one game as a girl and one as a guy. I’ve ever only beaten Gold though since that was the only game I had when I was young. While I’m away from work (due to mental health issues), I’ve been playing a lot of Pokémon lately and I thought I’d share them in this post. Even if no one ends up reading any of this, it’ll be something for me to look back at and maybe add to along the way.

NOTE: I always name my character “Burrows” but it’s treated more like a last name than their given name. Also not every game has a backstory yet because I’ve yet to play them.

Crystal is linked to Legends Arceus because at the end of the battle with Red on Mt. Silver, Kris ends up being teleported to Hisui (if I’m playing a female) by Arceus. She’s also Lyra’s older sister.

Platinum is linked to Legends Arceus because couple of years after Dawn becomes Champion, Lucas ends up being teleported to Hisui (if I’m playing a male) by Arceus.

In HeartGold, Lyra sets off on a journey with the motivation to find what happened to her sister, Kris.

In Sword, Victor is originally from somewhere that’s the equivalent to Germany and has had a crush on Hop since they were kids. In Shield, Gloria is Hop’s cousin.

Brilliant Diamond also has Dawn being related to Barry (since I play as a blonde in that game and I immediately thought of her being related to Barry when I saw them together).

Legends Arceus has been briefly explained already but I also like to imagine an alternate timeline where both Lucas and Kris have been sent to Hisui, with Kris being sent a few years earlier than Lucas.

Both Kris and Lucas came from timelines where they were the assistant to their region’s professor so they’re good with researching for Professor Laventon.

Kris is better at battling than Lucas but Lucas is better with problem solving and is more book-smart to Kris’s street-smart.

Neither lost their memories. They aren’t Fallers since they didn’t arrive to Hisui through a wormhole, Arceus was the one who brought them over (I know you can technically play as if you have amnesia in the game but I like the idea of the MCs retaining their memories better).

Kris doesn’t know who Ingo actually is but Lucas does and it’s pain-! He tells Kris and they both make it their mission to help Ingo recover his memories.

Kris was dropped in Hisui feeling accomplished and is determined to find a way back home. Lucas was dropped in Hisui feeling like he might be better off in the past because at least he’s being appreciated and remembered (things weren’t exactly going great for him back in the Platinum timeline).

Kris and Lucas still meet Rei and Akari in this timeline but they’re kids, not teenagers (makes for some cute bonding moments since they remind Kris of Lyra and Lucas was an only child).
