Wind Breaker Special Stage Event - Tonpuu-machi Halloween Matsuri Afternoon Show Special Reading Drama (part 2)
Part 1 here!
You can check out the rest of my translations here!
Kaji: To the east, right now, it’s all clear.
💙Umemiya 💙: Aight, good work Kaji!
Hiiragi: Thanks for patrolling.
Kaji: Is there anything else I can help with?
💙Umemiya 💙: Nope, thanks! It’s all good for now.
Suo: Thanks for waiting!
Nirei: Kaji-san! Thanks for the hard work!
Kaji: Oh. (t/n: this is more like a nod of acknowledgement)
Nirei: That costume is really cool! Um, is that a… kabocha dracula? (t/n: see the next t/n for explanation)
Kaji: Pumpkin hakushaku. (t/n: Nirei says kabocha (Japanese for pumpkin) dracula (in English), but Kaji says pumpkin (in English) hakushaku (Japanese for count). These two phrases essentially mean the same thing, Kaji is just being pedantic www. It’s the equivalent of me saying “I’m drinking boba” and someone correcting me that it should be “tapioca milk tea”.)
Nirei: Eh?
Kaji: Pumpkin hakushaku. That’s what my class told me.
Nirei: Pumpkin hakushaku?
Suo: It’s probably a jack o’ lantern?
Hiiragi: Nirei looks good too, doesn’t he.
Nirei: Thank you very much! It’s a bit of a tall order to be cool like everyone else…
Suo: If it suits Nirei-kun, I think it’s great.
Nirei: Hehe, I’m actually digging it myself!
💙Umemiya 💙: Speaking of, Suo’s costume really suits him!
Hiiragi: Or rather, isn’t it too creepy?
Suo: Is that so?
Nirei: Suo’s costume is…?
Suo: It’s a jiangshi! Put simply, it’s a Chinese zombie.
Kaji: The yellow talisman is controlling it, isn’t it?
Suo: Yes! But rather than being controlled, I’m better at controlling people. (t/n: at this point, Zakki gives a shrug and looks at the audience. It is very scary that he is channeling he Suo energy so much (・_・;)) Ahaha!
Hiiragi: That smile is super scary.
Suo: It’s just a joke!
💙Umemiya 💙: Yahahaha! How reliable!
Nirei: Eh? By the way, where’s Sakura-san?
Hiiragi: Oh yeah, he’s not back yet.
Suo: Ahaha! If we’re talking about Sakura-kun, he’s over there.
Hiiragi: That guy, what’s he doing while wearing that?
Sakura: Shit… why am I the one wearing this costume… (blushing very hard)
💙Umemiya 💙: Oiiii Sakura!!! If you’ve changed, come over!
Sakura: *Gasps of shock and surprise*
Suo: Sakura-kun! Don’t be shy and just come out!
Sakura: N-n-no way I’m shy or anything! (t/n: yes you are)
Nirei: Sakura-san, are you a werewolf?! It’s so cool!
Hiiragi: You’ve even slicked your hair back, huh?
Sakura: T-t-this?! The guys in the shopping street just did it! Speaking of, what’s with these ears?! And tail too?!
Suo: Wah, it’s so fluffy!
Sakura: Don’t touch me! Don’t pet me! (very blushily) Anyway, you can’t get excited with this costume! (t/n: this might be wrong, but there’s a couple of contractions here and I didn’t manage to catch the full thing x_x)
💙Umemiya 💙: I think it’s plenty to get excited over!
Suo: Hmm, Sakura-kun, I’ll teach you a simple way to hype things up. Sakura-kun, could you do it for me?
Sakura: Eh? Me?
Suo: Don’t worry don’t worry! Sakura-kun just needs to follow my actions!
Sakura: Ahh… If it’s just that… I can do it…
Suo: It’s a deal! Alright, Sakura-kun, I’m going to do the action, and you’ll follow, alright?
Sakura: Ok.
Suo: First, hold your right hand like this! (Zakki holds his right hand open with fingers slightly curved, palm side facing the audience)
Sakura: Like this?
Suo: Yes yes! Next, hold your left hand like this! (mirroring his right hand)
Sakura: Like this…
Suo: Well done! Finally, tilt your head…
Sakura: Tilt my head…
Suo: Alright, and you say, “Gaooooo”! (t/n: this is the onomatopoeia for a cute wolf howling. Emphasis on “cute”)
Sakura: Gao… – AAAAH (much blushy sputtering)
Hiiragi: Isn’t the sound “Aroooooooo” (really REALLY good wolf impression) for a wolf? (t/n: I broke this sentence up on purpose cos Hiiragi just goes back to his usual stoic self after the very impressive howl, the character gap is THE BEST)
💙Umemiya 💙: Hiiragi, you’re really good…!
Nirei: I don’t think that’s the problem…
Sakura: Stop messing around with me! I can’t do that!
Suo: You can do it! Because Sakura-kun, you’re a werewolf now!
Sakura: I didn’t say anything like that!
Suo: Sakura-kun, look around you! Everyone (he looks at the audience here) is looking at you with such anticipation. (t/n: you sly fox www) (edit: I just watched some of the commentary after the drama, Zakki was the culprit who started ad-libbing, and I believe it started from here wwww)
Sakura: Eh… (the audience starts clapping for him a lot at this point) Who is “everyone”?!
Suo: Of course, it’s everyone who has gathered here for the party! (Zakki spreads his arms out to the audience as he says this) (there is a lot of clapping at this blackmail)
💙Umemiya 💙: There’s a lot of ghosts here, you know? (t/n: I think this is where the ad-libbing starts wwww)
Sakura: (Many many grunts of pain and anguish) What is this… If you want me to do it I’ll do it!!! (takes a deep breath) (takes another deep breath) (Yuuma raises his arms wide) G… Gao. (in a very deep and manly voice)
Suo: (Laughs a lot with the audience)
💙Umemiya 💙: Hmmmmm, I’d like you to do it with a little more energy! Sakura!
Sakura: Tch…! C-Can someone give me an example?!
💙Umemiya 💙: Who’s good at this? Hiiragi? (t/n: I think most of this section is ad-libbed LMAO this is what happens when you let a chaos demon like NakaYuu run free)
Hiiragi: Eh, me?
Nirei: Hiiragi-san? Can you really do it?
Hiiragi: I’ll be doing it like the real thing. (He broke character slightly here www)
💙Umemiya 💙: Hiiragi, you’re doing it like the real thing?
Hiiragi: Yup.
💙Umemiya 💙: That’s different.
Hiiragi: Yeah, that’s different.
Choji (from off-stage LMAO): I want Ume-chan.
💙Umemiya 💙: Ume-chan- Ume-chan? You’re referring to me? (t/n: cos Togame’s seiyuu is also Ume-chan (Umehara Yuuichiro) - this was the butt of many jokes during the event wwww) Then I guess, Ume-chan is gonna do it right?
Nirei: Really??
Hiiragi: Oi Umemiya, show us.
💙Umemiya 💙: Alright, I’m gonna do it. (Takes a deep breath) GAOOOOOOUEH (very very manly howl) HHHUUUEEEE. (Stares very intently like he’s going to bite someone’s throat)
Nirei: Ohh!!! As expected!
💙Umemiya 💙: I took notice of the cameras too.
Suo: Alright next, (trying very hard to not laugh) it’s Sakura’s turn right?
Sakura: How did it turn out like this… (also starts laughing; I think he started ad-libbing when asking for an example, and now it has come back to bite him ^_^)
💙Umemiya 💙: Sakura, if you don’t do it quickly, you’re gonna get more embarrassed! (t/n: the second part might be wrong, feel free to correct me!)
Sakura: Yosh I’m gonna do it, you guys better be watching!!! Rnaaghhg, GAOOOO!!! (Very manly and not cute at all, with a lot of echoing)
💙Umemiya 💙: Ohhh, everyone’s so excited now!
Suo: As expected of Sakura-kun!
Sakura: Hyaaaaaaaaaa (very very high-pitched)
Suo: Alright Sakura-kun, next can you do a “nyan nyan”?
Sakura: DAAAAA!!! I’M NOT GONNA DO THAT!
Nirei: Sakura-san! (t/n: he says “どうどう” here which means “how how”, but I don’t think this is correct in context. If anyone knows what he’s saying, feel free to let me know!)
💙Umemiya 💙: Ahahaha, the first years are so interesting!

Felix sighed, finishing up in Hyunjin’s room and heading to the next room, knowing Seungmin was out for a snack and Changbin was working on a new song. Jeongin was probably doing some maknae things as usual, so Felix headed to the room of his Sunshine Twin, Han Jisung.
Felix stopped outside the door, about to knock but hearing a groan coming from inside the room. He stopped to listen as Han furiously banged the desk, probably annoyed with something.
Lixie was petrified. He had never heard of Han being this mad at something. Felix gently knocked on the door, hearing an angry voice telling him to go away. Instead, Lix gently pushed the door open to see an exhausted Jisung furiously running his fingers through his hair, staring at his laptop, not even acknowledging Lixie’s presence.
Felix was worried. Why was Jisung being like this on his birthday? He walked over to the upset boy, lifted his slightly off his chair and turned Jisung to face him. Han looked at Lixie, watery eyes looking frustratedly into his. Felix just hugged him, way too worried for the boy than to care about his gift.
Wait. what if…?
Felix smiled before lightly scribbling his fingers up the ace’s sides. The boy in question immediately burst into small giggles, gummy smile on full display as Felix tightened his grip around the boy’s waist before digging his fingers into his tummy, massaging slowly.
“hahahe fehehelixah whahat?!”
“Just something to cheer you up, sunshine”
Felix smiled sweetly as Han slowly sank lower. Felix snuck his hand under the ace’s shirt to pluck at his ribs, causing the boy to screech before laughing even harder, all the troubles of earlier leaving his mind as he laughed freely.
Lixie let Jisung fall to the ground gently as he straddled his waist, pulling his arms up wide above his head and before the ace even had time to think, fingers were digging into his armpits with vigor.
“FEHEHELIX YAHAHAHA PLEHEASE I CAHANT!”
“AHAHAHA IT TICKLES!” Jisung screeched as Felix giggled at the adorable statement, deciding to go for the kill before Han fully tapped out. Felix pulled Jisung’s shirt up and blew a long, loud, and consistent raspberry to the boy’s belly button.
“AHAHAHA FEHEHELIX YAHAHA YOU MEHEHEANIEEE!!!” Jisung screamed when Yongbok let go of his arms in favor of digging them into the rapper’s hips, loving the ticklish howl it earned him before Jisung’s laughter went completely silent, succumbing to the ticklish attack as Felix blew all the air out onto Jisung’s stomach one more time.
Lixie grinned fondly at the wrecked state of the ace as he panted, the ler’s hand rubbing at Han’s stomach to soothe the ghost tickles.
“Feeling better?” Felix asked as Han looked at him with tired eyes.
“Yeah, thanks. I needed thahat” Jisung giggled out.
Well, Felix didn’t feel like torturing him on his birthday anyway.

stepping on this useless corpse are starting to annoy him -- stepping his foot on someone's with his blessed body were almost making them lucky -- what a shame he had to killed her ! she was getting his way , sure maybe the one he killed was her own father but who cares ! Kami words are final . nothing is justice . HE IS THE KAMI .
a glance down at the body before his glances came back forward to the shorter girl as he lift his feet off of the corpse and simply kick them to the side looking back at his servants behind him and pointing at the corpse , without word they were sure to be quick with getting rid of the corpse . as the corpse was making this place of his dirty .
the servants were quick to ran and grab the corpse to drag her off somewhere -- he doesn't really care what they're gonna do with the corpse as long as it's out of his sight , hide it or burn it or whatever . as long as his place wouldn't be tainted . but after all he doesn't really care , the almighty Eneru were one of a bloodied god .
the scaredy sight and the shaky voice of the girl were . . AMUSING ! so much fear to her voice ! is almost hilarious how she's already so scared - but considering she's talking to a god it's justified on why she would be so horrified -- but to be honest with her , he doesn't really care about all that mannerism , just refers to him as the almighty Enel or Kami eneru and you're as good as alive .
a small smile turning into a grin until it becomes a bigger smile and he laughs out loud .
" YAHAHAHA ! ya a funny one ! getting lost and somehow got yourself up here isn't a very sly excuse as you think it is ! "
well he did just randomly see her appeared out of nowhere - and in order to get up she must have known more about him -- know just how dangerous he is , but she doesn't seems to be so knowledgeable on him . you also need to climb on stuff to just get up here so . . lost isn't the right word but maybe it is the only way to explained this unreasonable meeting .
" ya want to go home little girl ? "
if her home is like . . down there she won't be able to go back -- not like he would allow anyone to leave this island without turning into a corpse anyways . this was an inescapable island -- once you're up here you're as good as dead .
She’s seen sights like this, before.
Going out for the Mara struck (a rare occurrence, but happened enough times for her to know what to do and how to handle it), Huohuo has seen corpses in all sorts of situations before; stabbed, blown up, crushed- it’s not a rare sight for her, or any of the other Judges.
That doesn’t make it any better, though!
Even now, even having years of experience behind her back, Huohuo can’t help but feel sick as she stares at the dead body, mutilated to the point it’s unrecognizable.
It almost… reminds her of the General’s Thunder Spirit… showing no mercy to those that are a threat to the Luofu, burning them to a crisp…
A sudden thought pops into Huohuo’s mind.
Is she going to end up like that?
…oh god.
Is she going to end up like that corse?
Her head feels light.
Is she going to die here?
The Judge’s legs start to shake.
Unrecognizable, and with a huge possibility of nobody finding her-?
Waa, waa, waa, all this whining- so annoying!
Then why doesn’t he try to find a solution to this, huh?!
“I’m sorry for trespassing, and talking to you like that, but-” Huohuo all but squeaks, the words needing to be forced out of her throat to allow even a small possibility of survival. “I’m… lost.”
Is he going to believe that-?
“I don’t… know where I am-”
Please don’t kill her please don’t kill her-
“I- I didn’t mean to trespass on your property, I swear. I just need directions to get out, and then I’ll be out of your hair.”

Gonna Getcha
[Haikyuu - Atsumu, Osamu]
summary: Atsumu notices that Osamu is stressing out and suggests that they play a game to help brighten his mood. Of course, Osamu doesn’t really have a say in the matter, he knows that he’ll end up laughing whether he agrees to play or not. (platonic Miya twins tickle fic)
potential warnings: swearing, tickling
words: 1.8 k
a/n: for those of you who haven’t watched s4 yet, don’t worry there are no spoilers! on a more serious note, please don’t romantically ship these two. i hate that i feel the need to say this, but this is purely just siblings tickling each other for fun. anyways! please enjoy everyone <3
--
Osamu leaned back in his desk chair, staring at the English worksheet in front of him. He let out a small grunt of frustration and closed his eyes, taking a quick mental break.
The Miya twins had gotten back home from volleyball practice a bit earlier than usual because their coach wanted the team to focus on studying for their upcoming exams. Osamu was trying to make good use of this generously-given free time by working on homework. On the other hand, Atsumu planned to use his free time to lounge around and get some “much needed” relaxation.
Resting on the top bunk bed in the twins shared room, Atsumu was mindlessly scrolling through his phone when he heard Osamu’s grunting. He glanced up towards his brother and saw that he looked absolutely exhausted with his head tilted back and a slight crease occupying the space in between his eyebrows.
Osamu must have felt Atsumu’s piercing stare because not so long after he closed them, his eyes snapped back open. He abruptly swiveled his chair around and locked eyes with Atsumu, offering his own stare in return. “Why are ya creepily staring at me like that?”
The blonde-haired twin simply ignored the question, choosing instead to ask one of his own. “Ya look seriously stressed out, man. Wanna play a game?”
Osamu breaks eye contact as he sighs, turning back around to continue working. “No dumbass. Can’t ya see I’m busy?”
Once more disregarding the question thrown at him, Atsumu pondered aloud, “Hey Samu, ya know what game we haven’t played in forever?”
Deciding to humor his twin, Osamu hummed out a quick “hmm” in response, prompting Atsumu to continue.
“Gonna Getcha.”
Osamu feels his body immediately stiffen at the name, countless memories of the brothers playing the childish game flashed through his mind. With their parents being away at work so often when the two were younger, they created Gonna Getcha as a fun way to pass the time. It was just like hide and seek, but the stakes were much higher. Once the hider had been found, the seeker would tickle them silly until they tapped out. The mere thought gave Osamu chills.
Atsumu kept his predatory stare on his twin. “Why don’t we play right now? Y’know, for old time’s sake.”
Osamu instantly recognized the tone in Atsumu’s voice. It wasn’t a suggestion or request, it was a warning that he needed to escape while he still could. Turning his head around to look at his brother's face, Osamu saw the dangerously playful glint in his eyes. “What are we, fricking six years old? Grow up, Tsumu, geez.”
Never breaking eye contact, a grin spread across Atsumu’s face as he suddenly started counting down. “Thirty. Twenty-nine. Twenty-eight…”
The grey-haired twin’s eyes widened. He came to the sad realization that the two were going to play Gonna Getcha, whether Osamu agreed to it or not, but he wasn’t about to waste anymore potential hiding time by haggling with Atsumu.
Practically leaping out of the desk chair, Osamu ran out of their bedroom door, quickly closing it behind him. He raced throughout the house searching for a hiding spot, which was pretty pointless considering the twins both knew this place like the back of their hands.
He ran from room to room, eyes darting around for a somewhat decent place to hide, when he came across the supply closet in the hallway. Internally deciding that it was much better than standing out in the open, Osamu scurried inside, closed the door behind him, and sat down in the cramped space beside the miscellaneous boxes.
Not long after he got situated, Osamu heard their bedroom door burst open with Atsumu louding calling out, “I’m gonna getcha!” Footsteps could be faintly heard going in and out of different rooms, accompanied with the occasional “Gonna getcha!” tease. Osamu honestly felt like he was six years old again, giddily waiting for Atsumu to find him.
When Atsumu’s footsteps sounded close to his hiding spot, Osamu froze and held his breath. The footsteps came and passed, going off in the direction of the kitchen.
After waiting until he couldn’t hear the footsteps anymore, Osamu quickly got to his feet, planning to make a run for it back to the bedroom. Atsumu would never think to look back in there, right? Slowly opening the closet door, Osamu cringed slightly at the soft creaking before peeking his head out. Once assured that the coast was clear, Osamu stepped out and dashed to their bedroom with a victorious smile on his lips.
He stopped short and his smile immediately fell when he saw a certain blonde waiting for him, lazily leaning against the doorway with a confident smirk. Grey eyes met brown for a brief moment before Osamu turned around and attempted to bolt away. Unfortunately for him, Atsumu quickly launched himself forward, shouting out, “Gonna getcha!”
The two tumbled down to the floor. Osamu was left lying flat on his stomach as Atsumu straddled his back. Quickly recovering from the fall, the grey-haired brother tried to fight back and push his twin off of him, but his arms could reach back far enough.
Laughing at Osamu’s fruitless struggles, Atsumu teased, “I gotcha!”
Osamu gave up on physically fighting back and went limp against the floor. “Get offa me, Tsumu, yer fat ass is crushing me!”
“Hmm.. no. How about I do this?” Atsumu set his fingers over Osamu’s shirt and scribbled them into his sides. Osamu’s body jerked as if he had been electrocuted, and started shaking his head back and forth as short chuckles spilled out of his mouth. Knowing that verbal teasing had wonderous effects on his brother, Atsumu decided to be a little shit, gasping in fake shock. “Oh no way! Is this tickling ya, Samu?”
Osamu’s struggling started up again at the taunting words. “Y-yohou knohohow ihit dohoes! Stohop!”
“How would I have known that yer this ticklish? I woulda never guessed!”
“Yohohou ahahare suhuch an asshohohole!” Osamu’s laughter became louder as Atsumu switched his scribbling to spontaneously jabbing. “Ihihihi’m gohohohonna kihihihill youhuhuhu!!”
Atsumu ignored the giggle-filled threat, instead choosing to take the tickling a step further. “Huh, I wonder where yer death spot is… that one spot that will make you go absolutely crazy with laughter.” Atsumu slipped his hands underneath Osamu’s loose shirt, wiggling closer to his brother’s stomach. Obviously, he already knew where Osamu’s death spot was, but it was so much more fun when he got to see how his teasing made his twin squirm. “Why don’t ya just tell me where it is?”
Osamu shrieked when Atsumu went under his thin layer of protection and brushed his fingers against his bare skin. He grabbed at his hair to ground himself as he felt the torturous hands traveling closer and closer to his sensitive stomach. “Yohohohou ahahahahalready knohohow whehehere ihit ihis, yahahaha fuhuhuhuhucking shihihihit!!”
“What foul language! I just wish to hear my dearest brother laugh.” Atsumu wiggled his fingers to get them underneath Osamu so that they were squished in between the floor and his stomach. Once in position, he paused his fluttering fingers. “Ya ready?”
Osamu giggled and twitched in anticipation, “Dohohon’t doho ihihit!!”
“Do what?” Atsumu smirked knowingly.
In his panic, Osamu missed the obvious trap and shouted out, “Tihihickle mehe thehere!”
“Well since ya asked so nicely~” Atsumu curled his fingers and vibrated them deep into Osamu’s stomach, knowing from many childhood tickle fights that he could never stand this method.
Loud bouts of laughter were forcefully released from Osamu, his mouth open in a face-splitting smile. “TSUHUHUHUHUMU NOHOHAHAHAHAHA!!”
“Ahh yes, beautiful laughter,” Atsumu playfully teased. “That seriously has to be my favorite sound to ever exist. Mind if I record it and set it as my ringtone?”
Osamu could barely hear the taunts through his booming laughs. In a desperate plan to stop the tickling, he gathered as much strength as he could and rolled onto his back so that he was facing upwards. With his hands now free to move about, Osamu quickly grabbed at Atsumu’s wrists and pushed them away from his quivering belly.
While his twin was catching his breath, Atsumu looked down upon him with a wicked grin. He easily shook his wrists out of Osamu’s weak hold and in turn grabbed onto his brother’s hands, pulling them slightly off to the sides. “Thanks for the help, Samu. I was wondering how I was gonna get ya to turn over. Now I have all the room I need to do this…”
Osamu’s eyes quickly darted towards Atsumu just in time to see him start to slowly lower his head towards Osamu’s bare and unguarded stomach. From far too many ticklish experiences, he instantly knew what Atsumu’s intentions were, and he mentally cursed himself making the situation ten times worse by revealing his belly. The only choice he had now was to plead and pray that his brother would give him mercy. Hopefully the universe was on his side today. “NO! Nohot that, anythihing but that! Tsumu plehehease!!”
Unfortunately, the universe didn’t offer much help. As Atsumu’s head grew closer and closer, Osamu sucked in his belly as much as he could, knowing that he was only momentarily preventing the inevitable.
The moment Atsumu’s lips met his sensitive skin and blew the dreaded raspberry, Osamu howled with laughter. He could feel his muscles jiggling around from the vibrations, tickling him both inside and out. He tried to curl up and yank his hands out of his brother’s strong grasp, but it was all in vain. “NAHAHAHAHAHA!! STAHAHAHAHAP! TSUHUHUHUHUHUMU STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!”
The blonde lifted his head for a quick breath. “Ya know what I wanna hear, Samu!” Atsumu exclaimed before pressing his lips back down into Osamu’s belly. When his brother’s back arched and he felt knees begin to bump into his back, Atsumu chuckled fondly into Osamu’s stomach, only intensifying the ticklish sensations.
Tears of joy started to gather around the corners of Osamu’s eyes. When he felt Atsumu’s mouth move closer to his belly button, he desperately called out, “PLEHEHEHEASE, NOHOHOHO MOHOHOHOHORE!! YOHOHOHOHOU GOHOHOHOHOT MEHEHEHE!!”
After finishing off with one more short raspberry to his brother’s side, Atsumu pulled back and released Osamu’s hands. He watched fondly as Osamu quickly wrapped his arms around his torso with a flushed face and giggles unconsciously pouring out of his beaming smile. Atsumu’s face broke out into a smile of its own at the sight of his twin looking much happier than he had been not even thirty minutes ago. “Ya okay there, Samu? Or has it been so long since we’ve played that ya can’t take it anymore?”
Osamu rested his head against the floor, eyes closed and smiling wide. “Ohoho, I am soho gonna getcha,” he playfully threatened, a trace of the need for revenge in his voice.

Caduceus shows Caleb the consequences of dodging a healing spell around people who love you.
This one’s SFW, so please enjoy it here or on AO3!
This is what happens.
They came home battered, beaten and pissed besides. The others hung around for Jester’s prayer of healing, but Caleb slipped away, too full of old wounds and grey memories to give up his new wounds quite yet. His head ached and his side pulsed painfully while he climbed the stairs. He was nearing his door when a great, heavy hand fell on his shoulder.
“Here,” a warm voice hummed from behind him, “lemme get that for you.”
“Oh Herr Clay, it’s–”
Caleb’s sentence was choked out by a sudden sucking feeling accompanied by a sharp sound in his chest as Caduceus’ spell took hold.
*POP*
Caleb froze, then swayed in his tracks. Perhaps the injury had been a little worse than he thought. He turned around to thank his friend, only to see thunder in the firbolg’s eyes and freeze. He had seen Caduceus upset, annoyed and disappointed, but he wasn’t sure he’d seen him furious before. Until now, that is.
“For real?” Cad’s voice was still it’s usual low, placid cadence. He closed his eyes and pinched the top of his nose.
“Wh-”
“That was a broken rib, Caleb.”
“I was just going to bed–”
“You didn’t take a lick of healing from Jester.” He paused while Caleb floundered under a wave of embarrassment, guilt and stubbornness. “Your rib would have been the first thing to heal, since it’s the most life threatening. Unless you had a dagger through your heart I didn’t know about.”
The lie that was ready on Caleb’s tongue died there.
“I… ah… I did not know it was broken.” He finished lamely.
“That is not…” Caduceus closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, “That’s not the point, you… dammit, OK. OK, We’re gonna deal with this.”
His hand closed around the back of Caleb’s coat, and the now-healthy wizard yipped as he was lifted effortlessly off his feet. As easy as it was to forget Caduceus’ quiet anger, it was easier to forget his rarely-used strength.
Caduceus pulled Caleb into his quarters.
“Caduceus, what–”
“It was one thing when you were still too broken to function or believe anyone could care for you. But that’s not what’s happening here, right? You know better than this now.”
Caleb felt a panicked little chill run up his spine as Caduceus carried him like a suitcase.
“Caduceus, just— wait, I didn’t know–”
“Of course you didn’t. That big, stabbing pain in the side of your body, next to all the vital organs? I can see why you weren’t concerned.” He set Caleb on the oversized bed, and used a stern look to him in place. “Take off your shirt, I want to check your other ribs.”
“Caduceus, your spell worked fine…”
The firbolg regarded him with mild astonishment. “You really gonna fight me on this?”
Caleb swallowed, and pulled his coat off, then his holsters and shirt. He sat politely and quietly on the edge of the bed, eyes downcast. Caduceus sat next to him, tugging at his arms to manipulate his torso and peer carefully at him. Eventually he let out a breath.
“It looks like the spell healed all of the physical damage.”
Caleb was just starting to relax with slumped shoulders when one large hand caught him across his chest from behind and pulled his torso across Caduceus’ lap. That gave him a chance to catch the wicked twinkle in his friend’s eye and start fighting, but it was too late at that point. He was pinned with both wrists held over his head by Caduceus’ left hand, his torso stretched over the width of the firbolg’s lap while a heavy right elbow held his hips in place.
“Wh-what are you doing?” Caleb squeaked, legs kicking feebly against the mattress.
“Making sure you remember what happens when you dodge heals from now on. I’m gonna check every one of your ribs, I’m gonna do it until it’s done, and you’re gonna take it because if you bamf away from me, I’m just gonna have to get other people involved.”
With that Cad started to gently trace Caleb’s short rib with a pinching finger and thumb, reaching across the wizard’s body so his arm could block Caleb’s attempts to curl up in a ball.
“Wait, I– Oh, noho!”
Caleb threw his head back to laugh, every squirm just sending him deeper into Caduceus’ embrace. He could feel the firbolg’s mass shaking against his side, chuckling at his reactions.
“One. That first little one looks OK. Is it supposed to be that small? I should really learn more about human anatomy, huh? Two…” Caduceus moved up one rib, and Caleb’s laughter pitched up despite himself, “Hmm, yeah, that looks good too. So, did you think of what could have happened, if you went to bed?””
“Whahat?” Caleb gasped, unable to grasp the question under the onslaught he was suffering.
Luckily Caduceus didn’t need him to. “It could have punctured your lung. -Whoops, there’s three.- It could have killed you in your sleep. Four.”
Caduceus was a good way up his ribcage now, and the precision attacks on every solitary bone under thin skin was escalating Caleb’s desperation pretty rapidly. Being stretched out over Cad’s lap made it feel like his breath was being chased out of his chest by long downy fingers.
“Please! I’m sohohory!” He squeaked, heels drumming against the bed.
“Someone would have found you, cold and dead in the morning. Five. You know, we might have been able to bring you back, but that scar? From finding you? That’s a lot harder to heal.”
Caleb felt a sharp roll of guilt across his stomach. Not that he could express it. “Ahahaha- I-I’m sorry, pleaheeheese!”
“Hm. Are you sorry you did it or are you sorry I caught you? Six.”
“Both!” Caleb squealed, perhaps a bit too honestly.
Caduceus chuckled at him again. “Well, at least I know you’re not hiding things from me anymore. Hmm… where’s seven?”
Caduceus fingers dug around curiously, pretending he couldn’t find the rib he was currently torturing. Caleb thrashed with tears springing into his eyes, but he made no progress in escaping at all. It was like being tormented by a fuzzy mountain.
Caduceus made a frustrated sound, stopping his torment for a second. Caleb sucked in a few deep breaths.
“You made me lose count,” Caduceus explained, voice full of patently false regret, “I’m gonna have to start over.”
“Nein!” Caleb yelped
“You’d better hope you have more than nine ribs.” Caduceus teased, laughing when Caleb let out a frustrated growl.
Caduceus’ fingers returned to his lowest short-rib and started counting them out again, quicker than before. This time Caleb was crying by 3, trying desperately to stay still and expel all his ticklish agony without making Caduceus start over again.
“OK, I found seven this time. Are you ready?”
Caleb sobbed and shook his head no, but Caduceus continued anyway, ignoring his squeal.
“Pleaheeheese! Please, I’m sohohorry!”
“Eight. I do believe you, now,” the firbolg answered, “but the only way you’re getting out of this is to use that special word. And since you’re too stubborn to use that thing when Jester tortures you for fun, I’m guessing you’re not gonna use it now, when you know you deserve it. Not for little old me.”
Little old Caduceus was currently tickling a powerful mage to tears without so much as a bother, but Caleb didn’t have the breath to point it out. The first time Caduceus had seen the Nein really tickle Caleb to pieces, he had broken it up. Jester had to have a patient talk about safewords to convince him it was OK. Now he was wielding it against Caleb, and if he could, the wizard definitely would have pouted about it.
As it was his face was forced into a bright smile that he tried to hide against one bicep, tears leaking from the corners of his eyes to roll past pink cheeks and red ears. His feet kicked helplessly at the air when Cad’s fingers moved again.
“There’s nine. So I think you’re just gonna have to take this, but if you’re cooperative and not stubborn, we’ll get through it quicker, OK?”
Caleb wanted to wail that he didn’t know what that meant but settled for just wailing instead. Caduceus was quickly getting to the ticklish spots that his holsters usually protected.
“Ten. So, are you gonna do it again?”
Caleb felt a flash of panicked confusion before he remembered what had gotten him into this mess.
“Nein!” he wheezed between fits.
“Good to hear. Eleven. Why aren’t you gonna do it again?”
“Bitte! Pleheeheese I can’t” Caleb choked, breathless.
“Oh, yeah you can. Come on, why aren’t you gonna do it again?”
He switched to one finger and a lighter touch, leaving Caleb in hysterical waves of giggles while also giving him a chance to catch his breath a little.
“Because- it would- ahaha- upset theheehee others!”
“Hm. Well, I’ll take that for now. Twelve! Now, what’s gonna happen if you do it again?”
Caduceus had to realize that the shrieking wizard had no way to answer, so he answered for him.
“This is what happens, right? We have a zero tolerance policy from now on.”
Caleb sobbed and nodded in understanding, his whole body bending to try and save the one patch of ticklish skin without any success. Then Caduceus’ hand started to wriggle and prod into his armpit and his whole body jerked like he was electrified.
“AAHahahaha nahahahaha!” Caleb couldn’t get enough of a break to beg for mercy.
“Hmm. Looks like that’s it. Is twelve the right number?”
“Yahahahas!”
“Oh, well, good to know then.”
Caduceus released him, letting the teary-eyed wizard’s arms snap down to belatedly shield his ribcage, his face disappearing into his hands while his body shuddered with laughter.
“Shh,” he soothed as though he wasn’t the perpetrator of Caleb’s state, “ just breath.”
Caleb tried, rolling onto his side to breath into Caduceus’ linen shirt. Hysterical, pitchy laughter jerked out of him when the other man tried to pat his back and immediately stopped with a soft apology.
“You… just… please never do that again.”
“I think that’s up to you, based on the arrangement we just agreed to…”
“-under torture!-”
“… and I mean, it’s gonna happen again. At least one more time tonight.”
There was a moment of heavy, terrified silence.
“…What?” Caleb felt like a cup of ice water had been poured down his back. His eyes went perfectly round.
“I said I was gonna check all your ribs. I feel like if I don’t follow though I’ll set a bad precedent.”
Caleb immediately tried to scramble away from Caduceus, and he would have hit the floor if the firbolg hadn’t reached out to grab him around his middle and hoist the smaller man into his lap.
“Mist! Nein! You can’t, please!”
Caduceus started the patient, gentle work of getting a grip on the wriggling wizard in his lap. He kept his right arm looped around Caleb’s middle, his other arm working to try and grab a flailing wrist. When he wasn’t quite quick enough he made a frustrated sound in Caleb’s ear, right before planting a raspberry between the smaller man’s shoulder blades.
“Hold still!”
Caleb let out a wordless peal of squealing laughter under the onslaught of soft lips, velveteen nose and wooly beard. It bolted down his spine and made his whole upper body collapse.
One big, soft palm gripped his now-limp wrist and heaved it upward, exposing his currently un-tormented right side. Caduceus looped his right arm under Caleb’s captured one, bracing his palm on the back of the smaller man’s head. Caleb’s left arm was pinned against his chest as Caduceus’ other arm wrapped around him to keep him in his seat and hover downy fingers over Caleb’s exposed ribcage.
“Pleaheeheese you’ll kill meeeheehee!” Caleb whimpered through anticipatory laughter, eyes glued on Caduceus’ hovering hand.
“Sssh.” The firbolg soothed into the back of Caleb’s head. “I’m not gonna kill you. We’re just gonna take it really easy, OK?”
His left hand started to rub Caleb’s side in smooth circles, each one climbing higher than that last
“Nooohoohoho!” Caleb whined, eyes squeezing shut as the firbolg’s fingers found his short rib.
“One.”
“Bitte!” Caleb squealed through gritted teeth.
“I want you to repeat after me, OK?”
Caleb tried to turn and look at him, teary eyes astonished, as though Caduceus had asked him to move the moon.
“I -yeeheehee!- I can’t! Please!
“You can, I promise. We’re gonna start off really easy. How about “I deserve to live.”
“Whahahahaat? I can’t–”
“Two.”
“-Aaah! Nohoho! OK, ok, please!”
Caduceus only gave him a moment to take a breath before it spilled out “Ideservetolive!”
“Very good!” The hand holding Caleb in a half-nelson patted his head. “How about ‘I don’t deserve pain.’ for number three?”
“Ahahaa! Says the one torturing meheeheehe!”
“Ha! Are your ribs hurting? It’s a good thing I’m checking on them. Four.”
“Aaahaaa! I don’t deserve pain!”
“See, you’re doing great,” Caduceus praised, “we’ll be done in no time. I know this one’s going to be a little tough for you, are you ready? Five. I want you to say ‘I’m loved and I deserve that love.’”
For the first time that night, Caduceus’ request made Caleb’s jaw lock up.
“Nein— no, aah! I can’t!” He managed to whine through his teeth and the increasingly hysterical laughter that Caduceus was pulling out from deep in his chest.
“You have my permission not to believe all of these for now, but I want you to say every one. Six.” “AhahaHA! Nein, habt Mitleid! Mehehercy!”
Caduceus snorted. “On your ribs or on your low self-esteem? Actually, don’t waste your breath. I already know the answer. Seven.”
“Aaaaii! Please! I c- I can’t remember whahahat I’m supposed to sahahay!” Caleb sobbed, body starting to go limp with exhaustion in Caduceus’ arms.
The firbolg laughed, letting up for a moment to use his sleeve to wipe the tears off his captive’s cheeks.
“I’m loved…”
“I’m… loved…” Caleb panted, his unpinned hand holding on to Caduceus’ currently-stilled tickling hand for dear life, as if it might save him.
“And I deserve that love.
Even breathless and exhausted, Caleb winced like the sentence left a bad taste in his mouth. “I… deserve that… love.”
“Hey, good job. That was one of the hard ones.”
The sound that started to flow out of Caleb was somewhere between a panicked giggle and an exhausted sob. One of the hard ones.
“For this one I’m gonna need the whole phrase. ‘My name is Caleb Widogast, and I am a good man’ Are you ready?”
“No! Please have mercy!”
“Aw, sorry buddy. Not this time. Eight…”
“NIEN, can’t– s'too m-muhuch pleaheese–”
“Nine indeed!” Caduceus chuckled, fingers jolting upward to take advantage of the joke. “It’s not too much. I know you can do it.”
“I c-c- NO PLEASE I can’t while you– CAN’T! BITTE!"
Caduceus chuckled, fingers jumping up to tweak the next rib and yank a short little scream out of Caleb before he stopped moving his fingers and froze, still and menacing.
"That’s ten. Come on. I can’t make you believe it but I’m gonna make you say it.”
Caleb’s weight was leaning into Caduceus’ chest, his head leaning back against one solid shoulder with his eyes closed as he gulped in breaths.
“I'm… a good man.”
“And what’s your name?”
“Caleb Widogast… is a good man.”
“Aw, very good.” Caduceus praised, squeezing Caleb in a small hug. “Ready? Almost finished. Eleven.”
Caleb didn’t even plead this time, he just started to laugh again with his head still thrown back against Caduceus’ shoulder.
“Last one, I promise. I want you to say "I am going to take care of myself for the people who love me, or Caduceus is going to tickle me until I scream. Every time.”
“I CA- I CA- nohohoho! Too lohohong!”
“Twelve.”
Caleb’s back arched and his feet kicked while he shrieked, unable to get even the first part of the sentence out. Caduceus did have a little mercy, then, pausing to let Caleb suck in the breath he needed.
“I'mgoingtotakecare *pant* of myself *hic* forthepeople *hic* who love me or… *hic* this is what happens…”
“Every time.” Caduceus reminded him, tapping his fingers on Caleb’s top rib.
“Every time! Every time! Pleaheeheese!”
Finally, Caduceus let him go, angling himself so the wizard could flop over onto his bedspread. Caleb curled up on his side, face in his hands as the residual laughter started to slowly die down and the shuddering feeling in his bones faded.
“Do you wanna stay here tonight? Least I could do.”
Caleb unfurled with a heavy sigh. “Ja, please."
"Hey Caleb? What time is it?”
“Ah… *hic* probably between 10 and midnight, why?”
“Oh. No reason."
Caleb could see the firbolg’s smug little smile, but was entirely too tired to do anything about it.
Caduceus started to shrug off his outer layers and lowered the lamp while Caleb tucked himself in up against the wall.
"So just to be clear, this is what happens when you dodge a healing spell–”
“Yes! Yes *hic* you’ve made your point!”
“-But it’s going to get worse every time.”
Caleb just whimpered into the pillow.
“I mean,” Cad continued, “getting Jester involved is obviously the last resort. She is the ultimate escalation. And Molly’s not far behind. Maybe Beau first?”
“Nien!” Caleb jerked himself up in the bed in a panic. “Not Beau! She’s right under Molly. Not Beau.”
Caduceus chuckled, sliding himself into the big warm bed next to Caleb.
“So that leaves Yasha, Fjord and Veth. Wanna fill out the ranking?”
Caleb chuckled a little along with him, then whined.
“Nooo. I feel like I’m being made to dig my own grave.”
“If it makes you feel better, you’ve definitely already done that. I saw that reaction to the raspberry. That’s how I’m counting next time.”
Caleb groaned in the back of his throat. The threats felt like they were melting him.
“Mein gotten, to think I used to believe you were the nice one.”
Caduceus chuckled again. He slung one arm over the Caleb ball next to him and pulled the wizard in for a cuddle, rubbing his back soothingly when the other man tensed up.
“Hey, I’m done. For now. Seriously though, who’s most dangerous after Beau.”
Caleb gave a defeated sigh as he relaxed into Caduceus’ soft, solid embrace. The softly lit room took on a golden haze. Caduceus smelled like spices, cardamom and rosemary. Caleb hid his face in one wolly shoulder, his breathing evening out.
“Fjord because he teases, then Yasha because she bites.”
“Heh. So Veth’s the first level of escalation? Good to know. She seems more likely to keep this between us anyway… Caleb?"
The only answer was a snore.

Tissue
- After a long radio silence on the fic front, I have returned with another answered prompt~ I started this a little while back, but figures I’d have a cold myself when I actually finished it haha Anyway, This fic was written with lots of love and mucinex so I hope you like it!
- As always, this is a tickle fic, just in case that’s not your cup of tea!
The great Izaya Orihara had fallen.
To a cold, that is.
After slithering around the city on a snowy night for a few hours too long, Izaya was left stuffy nosed and sneezing every ten seconds. He felt freezing even underneath the warmth of the most lavish comforters and no amount of pain medication relieved the constant headache throbbing at his temples. Simply put, it was hell. It hadn’t started out this bad though, and some people would ridiculously claim that it was Izaya’s fault that it’d gotten his bad. Well, maybe ‘people’ wasn’t the right word for the man currently blowing on a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup.
“If I turn around and see you at that goddamn desk, ‘m gonna kick your ass,” Shizuo said gruffly, setting the steaming bowl back on the kitchen counter. He was careful in his movements, not eager to listen to Izaya yap about how delicate his stupidly expensive dishes were. It was annoying enough having to drag him away from his countless computer monitors every time Izaya managed to sneak out of the bedroom.
This time would just be one of many.
Shizuo turned to see Izaya frozen still with a hand still outreached for his desk chair. He’d look like a child caught sneaking cookies from the jar if there was even the slightest ounce of shame on his face and not that victorious little smile he wore whenever he thought he was getting away with something.
“It’s not nice to threaten people, Shizu-chan~ Especially people who are sick,” Izaya chirped back, voice a little nasally and croaky from his frequent coughing fits. Paying no mind to the penetrating glare being sent his way, Izaya sat in his chair and happily powered up his laptop.
“Being sick isn’t stopping you from being a pain in the ass, so I don’t see why it should stop me from punching you in the face.” Shizuo growled as he did his best to not hurl the soup at the flea’s flushed red nose like it was a goddamn bullseye. Fortunately-or not-he was able to bring the soup over to the desk without giving Izaya third degree burns on the way. “Eat.” Shizuo’s tone left no room for argument.
But this was Izaya, so of course he found room anyway.
With his typical goading drawl, Izaya turned his nose up at Shizuo’s offering. “I’m not hungry~” As if that wasn't enough of a clear rejection, he went as far as resting his chin on his hand and turning his face away as if the soup wasn’t even worth looking at. It made Shizuo reconsider emptying the bowl onto Izaya’s stupidly pretty face.
Shizuo closed his eyes and took a deep breath before letting it out again. Celty had taught him some breathing exercises to help him calm down and so far they’d been helpling when it came to little things like this. He never stopped to wonder why a woman who didn’t physically breathe knew those exercises in the first place, but he didn’t much care. “Izaya. You need to eat.”
Izaya sighed as if the interaction was grueling. “I don’t wanna.” Before Shizuo could finally burst a blood vessel, Izaya leaned back in his chair and rubbed at his forehead. The petty frown on his face vanished, revealing the exhaustion he must have been hiding. “If you really want to help me, I need-“ His words cut short as his eyes suddenly widened and he curled in on himself. His shoulders shook like he was heaving, but his lips were pursed in a grimace.
All anger forgotten, Shizuo rushed to Izaya’s side and crouched down to try to get a better look at his face. “Izaya?! What’s wrong?” His heart raced and worry bloomed bright in his chest. Was he choking? Shizuo didn’t know what he could be choking on though. It’s not like he’d eaten any of the fucking soup. “Shit. I-I’m calling Shinra,” he stammered, frantically patting his pockets to find his phone.
Izaya’s head snapped up then, and he looked into his boyfriend’s panicked eyes before sneezing once. Directly into Shizuo’s face.
“Ah. As I was saying, I need to sneeze~ I was going to ask for a tissue, but I guess I don’t need one now.” That wicked little smirk had found its way back to Izaya’s mouth as if it’d never left.
“Izaya.”
“Yes, Shizu-chan?”
“Five seconds.”
Izaya’s eyes narrowed as he looked at Shizuo. Shizuo’s face was eerily calm, completely devoid of the anger anyone who knew him would expect to see. And that lack of anger is what made Izaya realize ‘ah, this is bad.’
It wasn’t uncommon to see Shizuo’s handsome face contorted with rage, with fire in his eyes and a deep roar in his throat. If anything, it was more uncommon to see him not pissed off. Everyone in Ikebukuro had at least seen an irritated twitch in his brow or his teeth clenched in a painful-looking scowl. Perhaps even seen the menacing shadow in his eyes as veins bulged at his temples. But only those who sought the warm rush of adrenaline flowing through their veins and those who sought to leave the world of the living ever saw this expression.
This smooth, empty expression that told nothing of the molten wrath that Izaya knew was bubbling just beneath his skin.
Izaya and Shizuo had been-unspokenly-together for years now and had grown to understand each other in ways they never knew they could. However, all of that built up trust meant absolutely nothing when Shizuo looked at him like that. After all, it was that exact trust and understanding that made Shizuo so much more dangerous to Izaya now.
Izaya had never been scared of Shizuo. He wasn’t scared when he first met him, and he wasn’t scared now. But Izaya wasn’t stupid either.
With a speed that would put the Shinkansen to shame, Izaya shot up out of his chair and bolted for the staircase. And maybe Izaya’s cold was affecting him more than he would have liked to admit, because even though Shizuo was simply walking after him, his heart was pounding against his rib cage like a goddamn drum. Shizuo, the stupid brute, had even stood motionless for the promised five seconds before he’d even turned to follow him. That uncharacteristic patience only put Izaya more on edge.
*‘Damn it! I should have gone for the elevator,’* Izaya cursed inwardly as he scrambled his way into their bedroom and locked the door behind him. As if it’d do anything to hinder Shizuo’s steady approach. Shizuo had been blocking the path at the time, but seeing how the locked door knob still capitulated to Shizuo’s strength, Izaya knew that he should have taken the chance.
Shizuo stood in the doorway, expression still frustratingly neutral, while Izaya desperately looked for an escape route. The only options were fighting his way past Shizuo or vaulting himself out of the window and plummeting to the dirty Shinjuku streets below.
Izaya didn’t want to die, but the way Shizuo raised his hands, fingers curled in those dreadful claws, made him actually consider the latter option, if only for a second, before he accepted his fate.
_______________
“Nahahaha!”
The fall from the window would’ve been better than this.
“Aaaah! Not thahahat!”
Izaya was currently pinned to the bed, cackling helplessly as Shizuo spidered his fingers up and down his rib cage with a passion that was usually reserved for throwing street signs across the city like spears. In addition to that fervor, Shizuo’s expression had finally given way to emotion.
“Iiiiizayaaa~ Did’ya really think you’d be able to do that and get away with it?” Shizuo asked, a ferocious grin curling his lips. “What if I get sick now, huh?!”
In those unspoken years that they’d been together, Shizuo had grown to understand why Izaya did what he did. Though, that didn’t make Izaya’s bullshit any less annoying or Shizuo’s anger any less intense. But he couldn’t exactly beat the shit out of Izaya everyday either… It had been through a random stroke of luck that Shizuo had discovered a new way to take out his frustration and punish the flea at the same time.
“Y-yahahaha! You know you won’t, you m-monster! Ahaha!” Izaya shrieked and shook his head from side to side as if it’d make it any easier to ignore the ticklish sparks shooting through his nerves. His legs were kicking erratically and rucking up the sheets. His hands were beating and shoving at Shizuo’s shoulders. Of course, all of his struggling was as pointless as pushing against a titanium wall.
Merciless fingers climbed up his ribs, each bone used as nothing more than a step stool to get to their main destination. The ascent was nothing short of torturous for Izaya, who was squirming frantically and giggling up a storm. “Ahaha no! D-dohohon’t! Nahahaa!”
Izaya shrieked.
Shizuo was prodding at that absolutely horrible spot right between his underarms and upper ribs and using just enough pressure to make Izaya want to crawl out of his skin. “Shihihit! No! St-stahahahap! Shizu-chan!” His voice cracked on the high pitched squeak of Shizuo’s name - or rather, nickname. There were tears pricking at the corner of Izaya’s eyes now, brought on by the hysterical laughter Shizuo was pulling from him so effortlessly. To say that it was embarrassing would be an understatement. The fact that he could be reduced to a mass of flailing limbs within seconds was absolutely mortifying, and that smug smirk Shizuo wore did nothing to deter the heat that was swiftly rising to Izaya’s cheeks.
“Oi, Izaya, you’re looking a little red there. Maybe you have a fever,” Shizuo taunted, greatly enjoying his revenge. He didn’t want to push his partner too far though. He was sick, after all, but the little shit deserved at least this much. “If you hadn’t been such a brat and had just stayed in bed, it wouldn't have gotten this bad, y’know.” He punctuated his words by shooting his hands down to pinch at the bony hips that had been twisting from side to side from the moment Izaya had been pinned.
Izaya’s face promptly turned a shade of crimson that was almost concerning. Especially paired with the unholy sounds that were now spilling from his lips.
“Ahhhhh! No, no, nahahaha!” A manic smile stretched across his lips, and his teary eyes finally clenched shut from the force of his laughter. “Ahahaha please, please, Shizu-chan! Nohohot thehehere! Fahaha!” As adorable as Izaya looked-squirming and squeaking and laughing his head off-Shizuo knew he was at his limit. Those cute snickers were a little too breathless and coughs were beginning to wrack Izaya’s shoulders. Shizuo’s anger had mostly subsided, so he figured now was a good time to stop.
It seemed like Izaya agreed, as he gratefully gulped in air as soon as Shizuo pulled his hands away. Shizuo looked down at him with an amused huff. Izaya was panting like he had just run a mile, and there was still a smile twitching at the corners of his mouth. But mostly, he just looked exhausted.
Shizuo gave him a smile, much softer than the one he’d offered right before he started tickling the man to tears. “You ready to rest now, flea?”
Auburn eyes fluttered open to glance up at Shizuo for a moment before they closed again. “Yeah, I think so,” Izaya sighed with a tired nod.” Shizuo had a second to bask in the feeling of victory and had started thinking about bringing the bowl of soup up when Izaya spoke again. “Hey, Shizu-chan?”
“Yeah?”
“...I need a tissue.”

"So, what are your days filled?? Surely, nothing is more interesting than a day in the life of /a god?"
“Yahahaha, of course my days are surely the most interesting ones.” Enel happily laughs to the blond’s statement.
After his genuine reaction, he tilts his head slightly, gathering his thoughts to answer the question. Somehow it’s a tricky one since... he’s allowed to do anything he wants. Is there a limit to God’s will or ambitions? Absolutely none. He shall always bask in an everlasting source of various pleasures.
“Every day is different, it really depends on my mood. I shall burn an entire village if I feel upset or eager to teach lessons, or I sometimes simply enjoy the most ordinary pleasure such as a basket of fresh fruits with a pleasant company. If I want something, I have it anyway.”
He nods to his words, a satisfy yet bitter grin blooming on his lips.
“I understand why peasants are always seeking for my answers ; but alas, none of you would ever reach my level of freedom.”
#; peasant who wants my time - ask ic#; yep god complex in a nutshell#; thanks for the ask ;) <3#; he's just a very egocentric asshole XD and his days are always youhouhou awesome

I stole it from @archerwhiterp yaHAHAHA
1. what does your muse smell like? The ocean - sea salt, fresh air. Also dried herbs and flowers, because she keeps them in her little cottage all of the time.
2. how often does your muse bath/shower? any habits? Before she gets her own home, she doesn’t bathe often because she’s almost always in the water anyways. Once she has her own home she bathes regularly because she loves taking baths in her huge tub.
3. does your muse have any tattoos or piercings? Neither.
4. any body movement quirks ( ex. knee shakes ) She scrunches her nose, twines her fingers together, rolls on the balls of her feet, plays with her hair.
5. what do they sleep in? NEKKID. Or a simple nightgown.
6. what’s their favorite piece of clothing? Sweaters! Almost always, no matter what, she’ll have a big sweater layered over her dress or blouse/skirt combo.
7. what do they do when they wake up? Makes tea and sits outside to breathe in the ocean air. Sometimes she goes for a morning swim if she’s feeling particularly froggy.
8. how do they sleep? position? Fetal position, curled up in a ball, and she tends to wrap herself in her blankets so if you share the bed with her, be prepared to wrestle the blankets back from her.
9. what do their hands feel like? Her palms and most of her fingers have thick, heavy burn scars, so they feel rough to the touch. The ends of her fingers are tough from playing the harp.
10. if you kissed them, what would they usually taste like? Tea, mostly. Sea salt. Fishy if she just had dinner LOL

It's cold weather time, you know what that means. Yes, that's right. Stupid cliche fanfiction tropes. Oh no, there is only one bed and it's cold so we have to share it!!! What a situation!!! Hiruma from Eyeshield 21. Headcanons or scenario ok, female pronouns ok. Thank you, ily. 💘
OH NOES WHAT WILL THEY DO?!
Just gonna say, that I loved this and you can tell, from the length alone since it clocks in at just over 1800 words lmao Cut for length!
PS. Cliche tropes are my jam lol
Hiruma Youichi
“You~ichi,” you complain, shivering like hell. Youwere seriously underdressed for the current situation, mostly because you’dbeen lied to and manipulated into said situation. You glared at yourboyfriend, trying to light him on fire with your eyes alone.
Unfortunately, he remained very much unburned.
He also ignored you. He was dressed properly ina fluffy bomber jacket. Of course, he’d known you were headed toHokkaido to scout the team you had to play in a few weeks. Hokkaido inlate October. He’d told you it was somewhere, maybe in the south, probably as some kind of twisted joke. He probably wanted to watch yousuffer, because you’d pissed him off last week by choosing not to waitfor him every day after practice in the blistering cold. Yes, this wasmost definitely punishment.
Thus, all you had was a sweatshirt – a thick one, but still– and he’d forced you to watch the very long, very boring practice ofhis target. By the end of it, you were pretty sure you couldn’t feel yourface, or your fingers, or anything else for that matter.
“I really, really bloody hate you,” you growled underyour breathe as you followed him, still shivering, into the lobby of the hotelyou were apparently going to stay at.
That too was a surprise, because you were pretty sure hetold you it was just a day trip.
You expected to be met with blissful heat, but it was nearlyas cold in the lobby as it was outside. This day just keeps gettingbetter and better, you thought sourly.
The person behind the desk smiled apologetically. “Welcome. Do you have a reservation?”
Hiruma handed over his id and credit card without aword. You were left huddling in your sweatshirt while he checked in, atleast until you couldn’t take it any longer. “Why is it so cold in here?”
The person behind the counter only smiled some more, theirexpression even more apologetic. “Unfortunately, our heat isbroken. We are trying to fix it, however, we’re told it could be as lateas tomorrow.
Oh lovely. You knew better than to complainright here, however. Hiruma didn’t seem bothered by the revelation, in fact,it looked to you like his teeth flashed in best predatory smile for a splitsecond. This probably meant he had no intention of even bothering to lookfor another hotel. Was this another part of his nefarious plot?
He was so infuriating sometimes. You had a pretty goodhandle on him all considering, but then sometimes he did things like this andyou completely floundered. It was pretty awful.
Ugh, if he wasn’t… well, Hiruma.
At this point, you didn’t even know what you shouldexpect. He’d thrown all your expectations out the window anyway, so thereprobably wasn’t much point in having them. Despite this, however, whenyou followed him into the room and found only a single double bed you just kindof stared.
Now you were starting to think if this wasn’t all someelaborate trap to get you alone together and force you to sleep in onebed. You never had before. Whenever it had gotten too late to goback to your home after spending time with him, you usually just slept on thecouch. He was so touchy about things like personal space and haddrawn very clear boundaries around that part of his life. You weren’tconcerned, it wasn’t like he left you particularly wanting physically. You just figured it was another one of this trust things.
But now, here you were, in a hotel with no heat and only onebed and you just knew it was a set up.
“Youichi, there’s only one bed,” you state, not because youdon’t know that’s obvious, but because you want to see his reaction.
“Do you think so?” He returned moving into the room to placehis laptop bag on the small table beside the tv stand. His tone wassnide, but you thought you saw a brief flash of that grin again, anddamn it, if it wasn’t the most attractive thing you’d ever seen.
Nevertheless, you rolled your eyes and pulled your purse offto place it on the bed. “Whatever, I’m not sleeping on the floor.”
He didn’t bother to answer you, which was notsurprising. He had his laptop out and was already working away, whichmeant he didn’t plan to go anywhere that night. This in turn made youwonder if he even planned to feed you, and he bloody better, because you’d putup with enough of his shit for the day.
You were still cold, and since he didn’t seem to care atall, you dismissed him. “I’m going to have a bath, I literally can’tfeel my fingers.”
You were tempted to throw something at his head just to makea point when all he did was hum, but you decided it wasn’t worth it. Howhe could type so quickly when it was so cold you didn’t know. You did, however, throw over your shoulder, “There better be food when I’m doneYouichi,” you said in a voice that told him exactly what you were feeling atthat moment.
Not that he needed told. Despite being weird,half-psychotic, and entirely too selfish, he could read you better than anyoneelse and was pretty in tune with you. Not that he used the knowledgeoften outside of screwing with you, but still. You knew very well that heloved you. The very fact that you were there right now was a testament tothis fact.
And as much as you were kind of annoyed at him right at thatmoment, you did adore his manic face to bits.
You lingered in the bath, because it was warm and the hotwater went a long way to warming up the small room. Thus, you were prunyby the time you forced yourself out, after several hot water refreshes. And even then, you really only got out because Hiruma complained through thedoor. “Fucking food’s here.”
You dressed as fast as you could, hoping to get beneath theblankets on the bed before the cold seeped into your bones once more.
You didn’t even pause to see what he’d gotten you, yousimply scampered across the thin, garish hotel carpet and dove into the narrowbed. Hiruma snorted – you couldn’t see him, but you could hear him, andit was enough to have you glaring when you popped back up. You might haveeven given him a scathing retort, except he was suddenly beside the bed, holding a bowl of what looked and smelled like udon.
Others might have admonished you to be careful, but hewasn’t one to waste words on such things when he knew you to be perfectlycapable of taking care of yourself. Instead, he waited until you gotyourself sitting up, the blankets creating a nest in your lap, before settingthe bowl of soup there and handing you a pair of chopsticks and a spoon.
You beamed at him, which earned you, at least you thought, aslightly softened look, before he disappeared off back to the table and his ownbowl of noodles. Luckily, the remote for the tv was in reach so yougrabbed it and turned on the tv.
The room was silent save for the tv as you ate yournoodles. They warmed you up a bit, but you couldn’t help but feel thecold encroach once more. Hokkaido in the winter, it wasenough to make you furious all over again. Fortunately for your boyfriend, you didn’t really have enough energy for fury.
And you were too cold.
When the soup was gone, you pulled the blankets up to yourchin, but that didn’t really help your back and it seemed to you like theblankets were doing very little. In short, you were miserable.
You did your best to bear with it and seethe in silence, buteventually it got too much for you. “Youichi.” You stated, loud.
His head rolled towards you, black eyebrow rising. “What.”
“I’m cold, so if you could enact your endgame, I’d reallyappreciate it.” Your voice was dry and you blinked at him slowly becauseif you moved even a bit, you would start shivering.
The fact that you knew something was up seemed to get tohim. He stared at you for a moment before clicking his tongue and closinghis laptop. Your eyes god really wide a second later when he proceeded tostrip himself of most of his clothing. He’d never been so bare beforeyou, and you were suddenly your thoughts about him being a little shy, werecompletely wrong. There was nothing shy in him now, nor was there shame, and there was definitely something predatory in his eyes.
You expected him to be cold when he invaded your space, buthe was the exact opposite somehow. He was like a furnace and it had yougrumbling incredulously. “How are you warm?” There was apart of you that didn’t care that you should be a little more freaked out thanyou were, or that you probably should have made it at least a littledifficult. You cared about him being a source of warmth and youimmediately searched out that warmth.
Hiruma hissed, but his arms came around you, handsautomatically diving beneath your layers to flatten his palms to yourtorso. “Your feet are cold,” he sniped, though you were pretty sure youcould feel a grin being pressed against your neck.
“Fuck you,” you replied, hands stuck to his back. Youalmost wished you weren’t wearing so many layers, but the idea of losing somemade you shiver anew.
He cackled, something wet and hot touching the side of yourneck. “Kekeke, where did you think this was fucking headed?”
You knew it! “You had to torture me just to getme into bed?” You cried, tempted to shove him clean off the bed, except he wasdeliciously hot and you weren’t risking the loss. “I fucking hate you.”
He kept cackling, even as his hands traveled further andfurther up your torso to settle over your bra-clad breasts. “There’s away you can get really warm, yahahaha.”
“Ugh, so terrible.” But you were too busy laughing toeven be upset by that point and his long, lithe fingers were already beneathyour bra plucking at your nipples and making you moan. “Mmn, if you’regoing to keep me warm, just take it off.”
Sharp teeth nipped at your neck. “Don’t complain.”
You reached up and took his head in your hands and draggedhim up to your mouth. “I’m going to kill you later,” you mumbled againsthis lips.
“We’ll see~”

Disclaimer: I wish Kodaka wasn't so evil but I don't own Danganronpa so yeah, nothing I can do about it
There's never been anything wrong with Harukawa Maki's life, at least in her eyes.
Sure, she might not love her parents, and her parents might not love her back. Sure, she may or may not have depression. Sure, she might have had to and continues to deal with more than any kid at her age will ever have to deal. But there's never been anything wrong with her life, in her eyes.
There's only been much more that she's wanted to change about her life, that she never can.
There is her mother, a distant figure in her life who abuses her. Badly. She remembers days in elementary school where she'd try to run away from home. She knows now that it is better to simply take it all. The little good that her mother does, and all the bad she gives Harukawa.
There is her step-father, a man who has never cared about his step-daughter. She knows he sees her as a nuisance, and he knows she sees him as a bother. They've never tried to get along, and frankly, they both know they'll never get along.
Then there's her real father, the man who might have made her, but cares less about her than anyone in the world. Her father could meet a stranger and care more about them than his own damn daughter.
So it's not a surprise that she's depressed, doesn't do well inside or outside of school, and gets abused in her free time.
The only solace she can find in her life is her fraternal half-twin. It's a messy situation that involves her mother sleeping around in the same week, and somehow ending up with her and her brother, but he's the only speck of good her mother has ever given her.
Unfortunately, he lives with her real father after he decided no, he didn't want his actual child, he wanted the other child, and she can hardly find an excuse to visit him. There's been many times where she's had to climb the walls outside the house and knock on her brother's window. Truthfully, she doesn't feel bad about it.
Her brother's name is Gokuhara Gonta, and he's a bit of a delinquent.
It's actually not easy to spot the resemblance between the two despite them being twins - pretty much all they share is their mother's brown hair and red eyes, and even then Gokuhara's hair has a tint of green that's not in hers. Hell, they don't even share the same last name, although now that she thinks about, she'd much rather be called Harukawa than Gokuhara, and he probably thinks the opposite.
Instead, their genetic bond is more obvious in the small things. Their hair grows out the same. Their hands are both rather small. Their feet are rather large. Their eye shape is the same. Both of them have thin lips.
Gokuhara's part of a gang, and not a good kind of gang. A gang that beats people up with no remorse kind of gang. He's constantly looking to pick fights, and has been suspended from school on multiple occasions. Thankfully, because of her father's job as the principal of the school, he hasn't expelled, but it makes Harukawa disgusted to think her brother's only in school because of nepotism.
So it's not a surprise the two of them end up auditioning for Danganronpa's 53rd season, just to get away from their lost and destroyed lives. It's not that either of them are die-hard fans - they just want to get away. Perhaps that's why so many people love Danganronpa - it's a show of escapism, a show that takes you away from everything you've been feeling and plunges you into the depths of those characters' minds.
Harukawa sighs, clenching her fists. The large television displays a glowing red number: 95. Gokuhara shifts nervously beside her, and she glances over at him.
"Nervous?"
"I guess," he mutters. "It's just - "
The number increases by one, and the door to the gymnasium opens up as the speakers spark to life, announcing, "Number 96."
Gokuhara stands, taking in a deep breath as he stands. Harukawa pats him on the forearm reassuringly, grinning.
"It's not like it matters if you get in or not."
"...Yeah. You're right, Mak. Thanks," he grins back, and disappears into the open doors of the gymnasium. A Team Danganronpa member escorts him in, and then closes the door behind her half-twin. She wishes him luck in her mind.
The hallway fills with even more obnoxious and loud teenagers, and Harukawa shifts deeper into the folding chair placed along the hallways, ignoring them the best she can. She doesn't even notice one of them walk right up to her before they tap her on the shoulder.
"Hey, can I take this seat?"
Harukawa looks up, seeing a teenager with sharp purple eyes and the most ridiculous hairstyle she's ever seen. She shrugs. Gokuhara probably wouldn't mind. Besides, they're leaving after she auditions anyways.
"Sure."
The teenager plops down beside her, grinning. "What number are you?"
"97," she responds.
"You're next?" he tilts his head. "I thought you'd be more nervous about the audition."
"It's not like it's a big deal for me anyways," she answers, fiddling with her gloves. It's been awhile since she's worn these silk gloves, since she's almost never gone out where strangers will see her hands. Today's an exception. She doesn't need anyone asking about the blooming and ugly purple bruises and numerous scars scratched across her palm and on the back of her hands and along her fingers.
"Seriously?"
"It's not like getting in will make my shitty life any better."
"Oh," the purple-haired male murmurs, blinking. "So you have a shitty life, huh?"
"More than shitty, sure."
"What's your name?"
She glances at him with a tinge of anger in her eyes. "Why do you care?"
"Am I not allowed to know a nice girl's name?"
"...Harukawa. Harukawa Maki."
"Nice. I'm Momota Kaito."
"So are you one of those crazy Danganronpa fans?"
"I wouldn't say that, but I definitely like it a lot, y'know?" he smiles widely. "It's fun to try and figure out who killed who, and how the people react to the killings and everything!"
"...Morbid," Harukawa comments under her breath, and Momota lets out a chuckle.
"I guess. But it's entertainment, so it's not anything worrying. I mean, pretty much everyone else here does the same."
The speakers buzz to life, and a deep voice calls, "Number 97."
She stands, and Momota stands with her. She glares at him.
"What are you doing?" she asks angrily.
"Just thought I'd see you off," he grins. She ignores him, and pushes through the crowds of people towards the double-doors leading to the gymnasium.
"Good luck," he mutters, and her hand clenches tight around the door handle.
"Sure."
She steps through those doors, and somehow feels like her life has changed because of one god forsaken boy.
~ / . / . / ~
"...What the hell is this," she deadpans, slamming the paper onto the table.
The man sitting in front of her looks up at her. "What's wrong, kiddo?"
"'Ultimate Assassin?' Why the hell am I under that talent? I told you, I wanted to be the unknown Ultimate. Why am I under Ultimate Assassin?"
The man sighs, glancing over her paper. "Listen, little miss. It's hard for us to make sure you get your preferred Ultimate. Besides, we already have an unknown Ultimate, and we think you'll fit nicely as an Ultimate Assassin if you're chosen."
"Are you serious?"
"Of course. Now go. I don't have all day to deal with your complaints. I got hundreds of other kiddos like you to deal with."
"Wait a minute - "
"Next!" the man calls before Harukawa can protest, and all she can do is give up, trudging out of the dining hall and through the hallways. She turns the corner, and almost runs into Momota, who's leaning against the wall along the hallway.
"Oh, hey. Harukawa, right? I didn't know you'd made it through the first cut."
"Yeah, it's Harukawa. I did. Surprisingly."
Momota laughs loudly. "I think you'd fit into a cast of Danganronpa. So, what talent did you get?"
Harukawa rolls her eyes. "It's not like my opinion matters," she responds. "So anything is fine."
Momota frowns. "Then what did you get?"
"...Ultimate Assassin," she responds. "Then again, lots of other people have gotten that talent. We'll just have to see who they pick as their Ultimate Assassin this year."
"Better than the Ultimate Astronaut," Momota sneers. "God, it's such a lame talent. I don't know anyone who would willingly choose that talent."
"So were you just shoved into that category because they felt you didn't fit any other?"
Momota rolls his eyes. "Yeah, I guess."
"Well, I guess we're in the same boat."
Momota offers her his hand, and she high-fives it tentatively. The scar on her finger tingles, and she ignores the stinging feeling of the bruises all over her - even the ones in her heart.
~ / . / . / ~
Harukawa rubs her cheek, and Gokuhara curls his fists.
"I'll hit them real good, I'll kill them, I swear - "
"Stop it, Gokuhara," she mutters, watching the retreating backs of the couple leaving the school. "Don't."
"But Mak, they - "
"Shh," she hisses. "How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that here?"
"Sorry, Harukawa… I - still! I don't understand why you still put up with her shit!"
"Gokuhara, there you are!" Momota appears behind Gokuhara as he turns the corner. Harukawa shrinks against the wall. "Some - oh. Hey, Harukawa. I thought your parents were… visiting you."
Harukawa shrugs. "They left. I'll be going now, Gok - "
"Harukawa, what's that on your cheek?"
Momota's words make her stop mid-sentence, and she clamps her teeth together. "It's nothing."
Momota grabs her by the wrist, turning her to face him. "Is that a bruise?" He frowns, and Harukawa rips her hand from his.
"It's nothing. Leave me alone."
"A bruise isn't nothing!" Momota hisses. "Who did it?" His head swivels to look at the other teenager. "Gokuhara, you - "
"Stop it!" Harukawa bellows angrily. "Gon didn't do anything, and it's none of your god damn business, Momota!"
The purple-haired teenager freezes, staring at her, and Harukawa cradles her cheek in her hands before realizing what she's said.
"...Shit."
"Mak…" Gokuhara murmurs, resting a hand on her shoulder. She looks away, her face scrunched into a look of shame and unhappiness.
"So…" Momota starts after an awkward silence, "you two are…?"
"Fraternal half-twins," Gokuhara grunts. "From the same disgusting she-devil."
Harukawa just sighs, letting her hands fall to her side. "Gon, I've told you not to call her names like that."
"Well I'm sorry that I'm the only person willing to stand up to her abuse!"
The biting words Gokuhara yells leave a cutting silence in their place, and Harukawa glares at him.
"I thought I told you not to bring that shit up," she grinds out coldly between clenched teeth and curled fists, a sense of rage and darkness swarming her. Gokuhara winces. Momota's eyes grow angry.
"So it was her…?"
"Stop it," Harukawa mutters, too tired to argue. "I'm used to it, okay? Stop."
Momota unclenches his fist, turning his head to the side. "Damn…"
Gokuhara doesn't say anything, and Harukawa pats her hand on his forearm. "You should go…"
"Oh yeah…" Momota looks at the brown-haired boy. "Some kid's looking for you. Black hair, looks like a whiner. Said he'd be by our dorm in five minutes."
"Oh!" Gokuhara starts, then cracks his knuckles. "Mak, if you need me…"
"I'll be fine, Gon," she responds tiredly. "Go."
He pulls Harukawa into a quick one-armed hug before hurrying away, casting a final look over his shoulder as he disappears behind the corner of the hallway. Harukawa leans against the wall, glancing up at Momota.
"So? What do you want with me?"
"Huh?" Momota tries to act surprised, but Harukawa can see a look of guilt crossing his face.
"If you really were looking for Gon, you'd have left with him. If you're here with me, I can only assume you're here because you have something to talk with me about. Whatever it may be."
"Man, and here I thought I was being subtle…"
"Not sure if you know this, but you're the exact opposite of subtle," Harukawa snaps back snarkily before sighing. "Come on. You can talk while we walk back to the dorms."
"Wait, Harukawa - "
"Hurry. Up," she hisses, turning and walking down the tiled path that leads through the large school that's actually a filming lot. Momota hurries after her, and the two of them walk away from the entrance hall.
"Harukawa, look. Why can't you just get along with everyone? Why do you have to act so… distant? I mean, I guess know now, but come on. At least don't go out of your way to ignore everyone who tries to talk to you."
"There are hundreds of people here, and you're asking me to get along with everyone? Seriously?"
"Not everyone! Do you think I'm insane? I just mean that… you know. Try not to death glare everyone who tries to talk to you. I mean… shit, can't you at least get along with me?"
She glares at him, and he frowns.
"Stop that. I just told you not to do that, didn't I?"
Harukawa pushes open the glass door to the dormitories wordlessly, and Momota follows her to her room, shared with several other girls. She knows they're inside - she can tell from all the giggling.
"You'll never change who I am," she retorts back, turning to look at him now that they're standing in front of her dorm. "Even if I try, I'll never change."
"Look, Harukawa. You're really freakin' pretty and you might come off as a bitch, but I like you a lot, alright? So even if - "
Her hands shoot up, grabbing the collar of his jacket and pulling him down towards her. In a rush of adrenaline, she's kissing him hard, her hands in his hair and lips hard against his.
He makes a noise of surprise against her lips, and she pulls away.
"What?" she inquires flatly. "Is that not what you were wishing for?"
"I… no, I just didn't think you'd…" he gestures vaguely between the two of them, and Harukawa rolls her eyes, exasperation slashing through the feeling of excitement and pounding nervousness.
"Would you rather I hadn't done it?"
"No," he replies immediately, "that was freakin' awesome. I - "
"Cool," she cuts off, pulling him back down for another kiss. This time he takes the lead, pulling her close and kissing her hard. Her lips are going to bruise, she knows it.
She brushes it off. Not like she's never been bruised before anyways.
"Hey," he mumbles when they pull apart, and he presses his lips against her cheek, his words muffled by her bruised and purple skin. "I really really like you. And I think you don't deserve everything you've gone through."
"I think I do," she replies softly, and Momota frowns, pulling away from her.
"Harukawa - "
She shakes her head, and slowly takes a step back, opening the door to her dorm and stepping backwards into it. "Good night," she whispers, her voice cracking and unable to retain its cold and harsh tone.
"...Night," Momota breathes, and she shuts the door in his face, her fingers trembling from the unknown feeling coursing through her veins.
~ / . / . / ~
The hundreds of teenagers that flock the filming grounds are all sent home.
"We will announce the results in three weeks," the Team Danganronpa executive tells them, and then sends them back to the dormitories and their chosen rooms to pack up and leave.
Harukawa sighs, jamming her clothes and everything she brought into her suitcase and leaving before her roommates even come back. She never really liked them - prissy little girls who'd gossip and giggle long into the night, to the point where Harukawa had to throw things at them to shut them up.
She steps outside, following the large crowd of teenagers swamping to the entrance of the school. Harukawa glances around, watching the slow construction of the large Wall being built. It will soon be finished, and sixteen poor souls will be trapped inside it.
Harukawa doesn't know how to feel about the fact that she might be one of those sixteen people.
Gokuhara stands beside her, his phone in his hand. "Kenji and Yuki are picking us up."
Harukawa frowns at the mention of her mother's name, but sighs. "Can't be helped. Not like I want any of them to come pick us up."
At that moment, Gokuhara's phone begins to vibrate, and he quickly picks up the call.
"Kenji? ...Yeah, we're here… Okay. See you." He hangs up and glances over at Harukawa. "They'll be here really soon."
Harukawa nods, squinting. In the distance, she can make out a trail of cars, rumbling along the road. "Is that them?"
"Should be," Gokuhara responds, taking Harukawa's suitcase. She lets him, rubbing her arms to rid herself of the wave of frostiness that swamps her for a reason she knows all too well.
The car pulls up in front of the two of them, and Gokuhara rounds the car towards the trunk, opening it to put away their suitcases. Harukawa pulls open the car door, taking a step in.
"Harukawa!"
A loud and familiar voice splinters the air, and Harukawa starts, looking over her shoulder. A sense of sorrow and guilt throbs her heart, and she can almost feel it splitting.
"Momota…"
"Get in," her mother hisses at her. "We don't have time for your shit. We're busy people, unlike you lazy teenagers."
Her mother's words open a feeling of anger and rebelliousness in her heart that's never been there. Confidently, she steps out of the car and turns towards Momota, who's running for her. She meets him halfway there, right beneath the large doorframe of the entrance to the Academy for Gifted Juveniles, amidst a crowd of people pushing against them.
"You're leaving now?" he asks softly.
"Yeah. Yuki's not going to wait for us… obviously." Momota bites his lip, and she looks at him. "Did you want to say something?"
"I… I'm gonna miss you a lot," he starts.
Gokuhara calls for her frantically from inside the car. Harukawa can feel her mother growing increasingly impatient and frustrated.
"I know," she responds.
"And I think I love you."
"I know."
"Harukawa!" her mother yells. Her voice is frigid and enraged.
"'I know'? That's all you have to say?" Momota asks angrily. "We might never see each other, and that's all you have to say?"
"...I'm sorry," she whispers. "I'm so… so sorry."
Momota's enraged eyes soften, and he glances away guiltily. "No… it's not your fault." He pauses, and then touches his fingers to her cheek. The ugly purple bruise has long faded, but the silent action brings Harukawa back to that night where they were so close. "I guess… this is goodbye, Harukawa."
"Yeah," she whispers, lowering her head. Momota brushes her bangs behind her ear and she pulls away and climbs into the car, staring out the window as they drive away and ignoring her mother, angrily yelling at her with a true rage and impassioned anger in her voice.
Her heart throbs. It's a bruise that's going to be there forever, she knows it, but what's one more bruise over the million others she's going to get?
~ / . / . / ~
She wakes up thrashing and kicking, and her foot slams against the door of a locker.
"Shit," she hisses, feeling pain throb through her toes, but pauses. A locker? Why the hell is she in a locker? The locker door pops open when she kicks it again, and she stumbles out, falling to her knees.
"Damn…"
She stands, dusting off her skirt and looking around. It's a classroom… and the windows are barred.
"A school?" she wonders aloud.
The locker beside hers begins to clatter and rattle loudly, and Harukawa pulls open the door, ready for any nasty surprise that could greet her.
Instead, a tall teenager with familiar purple hair tumbles out, and he groans. Her heart thuds, and her heartbeat pounds in her ears as he looks up at her.
"Haru...kawa?" he asks blearily. She squats in front of him.
"Momota," she smiles hesitantly. He scrambles up, but stands a little too quickly and accidentally knocks his forehead against her chin. She grunts in pain as she stands, feeling her jaw rattle and her cheek throb from recently healed bruises.
"Shit, sorry!" he exclaims, but she waves off his concerned questions and frantic actions.
"It's fine."
He pauses, gently touching his fingers to the back of her hand. "Are you… really okay?"
"No," she responds bluntly, and he doesn't press her anymore. He knows what that tone of voice means, and for once, she's grateful someone understands her. He just curls her hand into his, squeezing it reassuringly.
"...I thought so. But hey, at least you made it. At least your shitty life can be no more."
"So it's really happening, is it?"
"I think so. We'll have to see… but it definitely looks like the audition grounds."
"Filming lot."
"Well, the audition grounds were the filming lot…"
"I know. Let's go."
Momota hums in response, leading her out the room. He doesn't let go of her hand, and she notices. She couldn't care less.
They take one step outside of the classroom, and come face to face with a large angry green machine, screeching and stabbing at the ground close to them. Momota pulls Harukawa behind him.
"Shit! Harukawa, run!"
"You too!" she hisses, pulling him away from the machine. "You're not fighting that!'
They dash down the hallway, dodging every haphazard attack that could possibly take their heads off. They stumble down the stairs, skipping every other step to quicken their descent.
They turn to make a left at the foot of the stairs, but the machine jumps in their way, and Harukawa bites back a scream. Momota doesn't bother, and just yells for her to follow him, pulling her along before she can protest - not like she would.
"Where do they want us to go?" Harukawa pants heavily, and Momota points ahead.
"Through there!"
Sure enough, there are the familiar double doors of the gymnasium, and the two of them tumble in. Two teenagers turn around, one with green hair and one with blue hair.
"Hi," Harukawa breathes, "do you have any clue what we're doing here?"
"It depends…" the green-haired male mutters, but the blue-haired girl shakes her head.
"I've got nothing…"
The door explodes open behind them, and then people stream in - one after another until there are sixteen of them. It only confirms Harukawa's suspicions.
"It is, isn't it?" she whispers into Momota's ear, and he leans down, nodding.
"Definitely seems so. I mean - "
Five large mechanical robots fall into the gym and surround them. Momota pushes Harukawa behind him, narrowing his eyes.
"These bastards - "
Five stuffed bears hop out of the killing machines, and Harukawa blinks. Momota starts.
"What's going on?" A blonde girl asks. "Could it be - "
A pile of assorted clothes are flung into the air by the five bears, and Harukawa blinks as the clothes seem to magically pull themselves onto her and her old school uniform disappears miraculously. She supposes it's part of the "filming magic" that Team Danganronpa has in their arsenal.
He grabs her by the hand when they're not sparkling, when their clothes are different, and their everything is about to change. He feels the same, even under that ridiculous purple jacket with space patterns and white shirt stamped with red. She looks up at him.
"You never could have loved me," he states softly.
And he's not wrong. As much as she tried back then, there was something so tentative in her, so cold and frightened, that found it too scarring to try and love him.
"I wish I could have loved you," she replies, and her voice is guilty, her eyes are brimming with tears.
"...Yeah. I know."
And as they black out, in their new clothes, their new talents, their new identities, she feels him press a gentle and loving kiss on her lips, so unlike their previous kisses, and she kisses him back, feels a sting of bitter irony from the fact that she's finally experienced love, the real Harukawa Maki finally god damn loves someone and she's about disappear from the world.

“It’s not supposed to hurt— do you have a crush on my brother” Teru reminded him as he asked home a different question. “W-what of course i don’t” Mitsuba giggled.
