i genuinely think i would really like on3 piece (i read very quickly and like super fucking long comics i can obsess over) but i just cannot get over the way women seem to be treated. i like seeing op fan content but i think reading something that long and letting it take over my soul and all the female characters are disrespected the whole time would like. make me evil

#censored bc i genuinely have nothing against fans and dont want to pollute their tag #anyways i keep accidentally reading 200k+ op fics when people put them on my dash (i fucking love fanfiction for stuff #i dont watch. its a hobby) and i do think the female characters seem interestign and when theyre treated well there are some fascinating #character dynamics there. but i can see the shadow of their canon treatment on the wall in those fics. you know. you know when a fic writer #pulls off an extremely developed and interesting female character but you look at the general personality traits and relationships theyre #working with and its like. oh there is absolutely no way this is handled well at all in canon #ANYWAYS! i am capable of ignoring shitty things in media but the character dynamics seem to be the main appeal of one piece #and i think it would poison me in a very specific way
