currently reeling from the fact that i am perceived but not only that, i am perceived in a positive and accurate way
#just me rambling again#HISTORY TEACHER MY BELOVED#hes a strange dude but honestly a really good teacher like one of the first teachers whos ever actually made history interesting to me#anyways we had worktime on our new project today#actually no before i get into the originally intent of this post im gonna ramble about the project bc MMMM BRAIN GO BRRR#we're on wwii stuff right now and the project is basically for everyone to choose one specific topic to deep dive into (thats#related to wwii) and make a slideshow about it to present to the class and THE TOPIC I CHOSE WAS CODES N CODEBREAKING#IM SO HYPED#despite being very interested in codes my whole life i never really have learned much history about any sort of code stuff#but DUDE wwii had so much cryptography stuff going on and IT IS FASCINATING its literally so cool to me#ANYWAYS when we had work time he like says my name to get my attention and calls me over to his desk and so i go over#and he had some post pulled up about like just the number of ancestors people have and like all the things that somehow came#together to make it so that you exist and he said he thought id find it interesting bc ive talked about butterfly affect type stuff#and like generally kinda similar stuff and like!!! yeah!!!!! it was neat we chatted a bit about that sort of butterfly affect thing and#just how humanity moves and at one point i brought up the thing like where i sort of wish i was a sort of conditionally immortal#(immortal where certain things can still kill you. no ageing but like when the sun explodes and the universe dies i want to go as well)#just because id love to see the way humanity shifts and grows in the future and just see how the world plays out bc i think its cool#and then i like went back and kept working on the research stuff and a lil while later he calls for me again so i go over and#hes like do you like to read much and i was like uh fiction yeah not really nonfiction tho and hes like oh great this is fiction#n hes like what you were saying reminded me of this book n im like ooh whats it called n i like write it down and he explains#the plot a little bit and??? it genuinely has such a cool concept??? like im honest to god gonna try to find it and read it ngl#idk i often say that i couldnt care less what authority figures think of me but like theres a solid few teachers at my school#where just any time they give any sort of positive feedback or like any sort of positive comment towards me or if they like#bring up things ive said in past class periods my heart just goes !!! bc i do kinda look up to the good teachers i have ig
