What is/are your favorite trope(s) in books/fics/movies?

Ohhh, I have a few favorite tropes! I will go at random order

1. DEATH GAME

One is obviously a death game. I like watching, reading and playing mostly anything with this trope. I also am making my own list of the death game medias I know of/finished, because one friend proposed that idea to me :3

This friend also addicted me to a graphic novel with the same trope: Geis (or another new name of it: Curse Of The Chosen) so I'm trying to spread the world of godly art and story

But I just think that's a really good psychological trope, letting us see how others could behave in dangerous situations. It makes you think and in general it is a really interesting concept for me

2. TIME LOOP/TIME TRAVEL

I always liked time loops, oh my god. Time travels are also good but mostly I search for time loop content. There is just so little of it! Or maybe I just saw what I could... Or I am really bad at searching lol

But yeah, every type of loop is perfect. Horror time loop where you die every time, romance/comedy time loop where you think life is just trying to make a clown out of you, action time loops where you have to save someone. No matter if in fanfiction or in a movie or in any other thing. Give me all of them!

That's why I have one time loop au! At least here on tumblr

With time travels I am obsessed with the "fix it" type of fanfics. I love reading how other people write stories from the beginning with a character that wants to change the dark future

3. ISEKAI/REINCARNATION

Oh, getting transported to another world, you are my beloved! I think this hiperfixation started with Sword Art Online and it stayed. I love stories about characters that suddenly wake up in another world!

And yes, this trope maayyyy be really repetitive sometimes and characters may look really similar to each other... But that's my guilty pleasure to devour it all

I also love when our main characters reincarnate as some known villain... Ugh, it hits so well. They usually act so nice and make so many good changes even if it wasn't their plan lol

4. ZOMBIES/APOCALYPSE/DYSTOPIAN WORLD

Wanted to break them up into their own points but eh, no, thank you

I love all of them but it is sometimes so hard to find something I really like with these topics! But I think my favorite tropes show that I like when there is a real struggle lol

Make them all squirm and fight for their life hahaha!

5. WEAK BECOMES STRONG

Also kinda a guilty pleasure of mine. There is just something satisfying in seeing them change and reach their goal

6. REVANGE

Who doesn't like a good revange? It also is so satisfying to see the bad guys getting all the bad karma back!

And I guess there are some other tropes that I really like... Like a bad guy becomes not so bad or sth, but for now I can't think of anything so I will end here!
