This isn't a reverse roles au, but more like - What if you made the worst choices imaginable and survived to find out what happens after?

Nyx was still a vessel for Nari, but in their verse there are a couple of small differences (most notably: Nari didn't have Aym and Baal, only the ghost/illusion of them and Nyx was alone for far longer than my main verse lamb before their execution), that led to them killing him after their battle in a fit of blind rage and grief.

Their mind reading is entirely passive due to the crown being overloaded and it came to them as a shock when they heard Lambert's thoughts, but just assumed Narinder was still chained and were about ready to fight him asap. They still jumped him as soon as they laid their eyes on him back at the cult lmao

They resent and loathe him, and find it very difficult to believe that there is a version of them out there that spared him and very much aren't aware that the entire thing was a giant miscommunication.

(they also are just…, horribly, terribly lonely in their ascension and miss him so so deeply that when Lambert has dreams from their pov the entire cult appears empty and tinged gray.)

As for the ravens/crows! Nyx mimics Narinder a lot subconsciously to feel closer to him (^ like their clothes, but they also use chains in combat nowadays), so they are partly inspired by Aym and Baal. They are demons of sort, semi-sentient, and also containers for power bc the crown is just Severely Overloaded with handling the two massive domains that are Life and Death and seeks out outlets. They just kinda spawned one day and Nyx was like “Neat.” and went back to dissociating and purging Purgatory. They act as scouts and an extra pair of eyes to Nyx on crusades bc they see through the forehead ones!

Hear me out on this yandere cookie run ramble guys

(plus sorry for disappearing for so long. I'm trying to cook with new stuff coming soon, hopefully this week to next week.)

Imagining a self aware cookie run au and yes the cookies come out of y/n's phone but are the small sizes because they are cookies and y/n who has a office job now has to deal with yandere cookies from both ovenbreak and kingdom. Shadow milk cookie nearly got y/n fired are he decided to use his powers on some of the office stuff y/n has and ended breaking several things instead. (They do how their powers they can get very out of control or just be very weak) y/n just being this normal person who now has to deal with these cookies and now has taken up a whole hobby of making small buildings for the cookies to live in. Now the livingroom coffee table and bookshelf has become bascially a small kingdom for the cookies or just small parts of the living room just different kinds of kingdoms depending on it. Even almond cookie helps y/n get ready in the morning by pointing out what to fix on y/n's work suit and stuff.

Then y/n having to keep the Beasts and Ancients separate so they don't fight. Also the cookies made mandatory for y/n to bring at least one or two cookies with them to keep them safe as they don't know the dangers of this world and rather keep y/n safe. But mainly y/n sits in a office and I love to think some cookies like to sit in quiet with y/n enjoying to silence with them but other cookies absorb get bored of hate it but that is the sacrifice they will make for their dear baker. And also imagining if y/n has any unhealthy habits like staying awake at night for to long then they will be forced to sleep and Moonlight cookie as well as dream Weaver cookie to make sure y/n gets the recommendation dose of sleep. Or if unhealthy eating habits then they'll try to help with that as well to make sure y/n gets healthy amounts of greens (carrot cookie, potato cookie and spinach cookie make sure of that)

plus hey at least the farmer cookies help y/n make a small garden even if it's small it's a good way to have fresh vegetables and fruits, plus they take care of them for y/n when they are gone at work. Also agent olive cookie loves to go with y/n to their office, as they have a job to protect y/n and try to do it well. Coffee cookie also love to talk with y/n in the mornings and even gets excited seeing the giant cups y/n but when y/n takes her on a grocery store trip, she always reminds y/n to get the best kind of coffee bean as she knows her coffee and wants the best for y/n also she may or may not take a bit of coffee for herself as of course she needs to taste the flavor to see if it's up to standard for y/n to drink.

But secretly the cookies are trying to find a way to get y/n back to their world, to earthbread as this life is to taxing on y/n from what they've seen but sadly traveling over to their bakers world really destroyed their phone but after y/n got a new one, the cookies wonder if they can use another device and of course cream puff and expresso cookie are on it but it just worries the ancients that the beast cookies will try to take y/n away when getting back to earth bread.

When you first meet:

He's so awkward it's almost hard to watch… he'll just stand there with his hands stuffed In his pockets, trying his best to (and failing miserably) act as normal as possible but clearly his social skills are terrible.

When aizawa pairs you two together for training he doesn't speak much about off topic discussions, everything he says is purely based on training, though he does awkwardly compliment your quirk and techniques.

When you're talking to his friends he gets really excited, though he doesn't show it he's excited because he sees this as a future opportunity to become friends with you since you’re friends with people In his inner circle.

though when you're around him and his friends he continues the awkwardness and doesn’t speak... Bless his awkward little heart…

After he gets to know you:

He's not as awkward as he was when you first met and can hold pretty strong conversation with you now.

He's the complete opposite of "brain rot" and “chronically online" so when you use TikTok slang or reference a pop culture moment or meme the poor boy is so confuzzled.

He listens to you rant and ramble about any and everything, whether it be training, or why jellyfish don't have brains (i really love jellyfish.).

He's also a great help with homework. Instead of just giving you the answers he works you through the questions so you can know what to do on future homework’s.

my fingers anxiously picked at my shoes with one hand as my other hand scrolled through instagram.

"come on, y/n, aren't you excited!?" my best friend, harper, exclaimed as she gripped my shoulder and shook me rapidly.

with a soft nod and a small chuckle, i nodded as i locked my phone and let it fall into my lap. "of course i am. i'm just tired of sitting here."

we had been sitting in the sun on the side of the venue in line for the last hour and a half. it was that point in the day where the sun was beating directly onto us.

i had managed to get my best friend and i some tickets to the triplets' tour with the meet and greet pass. counting down the days was grueling, but we finally made it and the hardest part was now. waiting outside to be let into the building.

"it'll be worth it. who even cares?"

i nodded softly as i looked her up and down. she was decked out in purple, some purple stars drawn on her cheeks under her eyes and some purple cargo pants with a let's trip tee and some white air forces.

i, personally, was drowning in orange. with an orange crop top and deep gray ripped jeans, my outfit was topped off with orange nike high top dunks and an orange belt. my friend had helped me out with the orange stars, mine on the opposite side from harper's.

"y/n, the line is moving!"

i turned my head to harper, being ripped from my thoughts before quickly standing to my feet and moving up in line.

the line moved slow, but it was something.

we still had a long way to go.

the line for the meet and greet felt like it was forever, but as we got closer, i felt like no time had passed at all. i could see them every once in a while through the lit cloth between the line and the boys, and my eyes shifted to harper. "dude, we're almost there." i chuckled, trying to keep myself as calm as possible as harper made noises i didn't even know were humanly possible.

"y/n, i don't know what to do or say, i think i might shit myself."

i slammed a hand over harper's mouth and let out a cackle, shaking my head. "shh, say that less loud." i scoffed and before i knew it, harper was next in line.

no way time flew by that fast. as i approached matt, i swallowed and smiled brightly as i felt like each step that i took was in slow motion.

matt's arms opened and i quickly stepped towards him and hugged him tightly. "hi, matt," i breathed, taking a deep breath as the reality of the situation began to settle.

"what's your name?" he asked softly, picking up his photo and signing it quickly.

"oh, it's y/n," i breathed, the smile on my face so wild you could have probably found me in a horror movie.

"nice to meet you, y/n. i hope we haven't kept you waiting too long?" he questioned, and i quickly shook my head.

"i'm just happy you guys are here," i breathed and smiled brightly at him before my expression fell. "oh my god a picture-" i scrambled to reach and get my phone from my back pocket, opening my camera and lifting it up.

two bright smiles later, matt pulled me into one more hug and smiled brightly, while i wished him luck on the rest of the tour.

i turned to see nick and smiled brightly, pulling him into a deep hug. i always had a theory that nick gave the best hugs of the three. so far, my theory was correct.

"hi, friend!" nick cheered, signing his card and smiling at me. "your star makeup is so cute, your friend had the same thing, no?"

i smiled brightly and nodded, biting my lip. "yeah, she did them for me actually! she's the best." i smiled and pulled out my phone.

"i'm so glad you guys could come." he stated as he wrapped an arm around me and held up a thumbs up in the camera.

i smiled brightly as i pulled away and gave him one last hug. "you guys are amazing. i just thought you should know, i'm proud of you guys. good luck tonight!" i told nick as i pulled from the hug. nick shot me a soft and quick thank you as i was rushed off to the final triplet.

i felt my entire being crumble the moment i took a few steps forward.

of course, i loved all three of the triplets with everything i had.

but chris.. i related to him in many ways and always found my eyes gravitating to him while watching their videos. he's a silly guy, and it doesn't help that i find him insanely attractive between the three.

"you in there?"

my eyes shot to chris as i let out a breath i didn't know i was holding.

i literally just spaced out in front of chris, who waved his hand in front of me to snap me out of my trance.

not to mention i'm decked out in his color.

"hi!" i squeaked, and he pulled me into a hug.

i bit my lip as i hugged him tightly, taking a deep breath.

the hug lasted for a little longer than needed, but i wasn't complaining.

"it's definitely your color more than it is mine. consider wearing it more often?" he asked, writing on the card and pausing before deciding to hand it to me. "wanna take a selfie?"

i nodded quickly and shakily took out my phone and began to raise it, but chris carefully took it from my hands and raised it himself, wrapping his other arm around my shoulders softly.

he took about four photos and handed me the phone back.

after signing the card, taking a little longer than usual, he looked me up and down one more time.

we stood there for a few moments, simply looking at each other and i noticed my friend waving at me from behind chris, about ten feet away.

"you're gonna do great tonight," i quickly said to him, and he simply smiled at me and nodded, running his fingers through his hair to adjust his bangs.

holy fuck, this guy isn't real.

"i'll do great because you came. thanks for coming." he stated softly, and brought me into a tight hug.

the night went incredibly well. the show was enjoyable with the games they all played, and i told harper about the interaction i had with chris.

harper was in the shower. i had just gotten out, my pajama pants and small black tshirt hugging my body perfectly as i laid against my bed in the hotel.

i turned to the postcards, smiling brightly as i took them into my hands and admired them. i turned them in the light to look at the layered marker, holding them towards the lamp. as i got to chris's, i noticed some writing on the back through the light and my heart jumped out of my chest.

i threw myself up off the mattress and flipped the postcard over, feeling my heartrate pick up at the phone number written against the back.

"dude, the shampoo in there is awesome. you weren't kidding." harper stated as she dried her hair in a towel as she sat in front of me, also in her pajamas. "you okay?"

i looked at her and slowly held up the card, pointing at the number.

"holy fuck, is that..?" harper trailed off, and i bit my lip.

"oh my god, i need to call it." i stated as i searched for my phone under the comforter, quickly retrieving it and dialing the number.

i put my phone on speaker as i looked at harper, my leg bouncing anxiously.

anyway, contrary to popular belief, Antonio is actually my favorite RP character. just in general. and i've never actually seen him live until the other day. unbeknownst to me, i was waiting for a whole year to be able to actually see him live, i think i was more excited about it than cc!anthony was 💀

which might contribute to my love for him bc i had to piece him together like a puzzle from everyone else's POVs and clips n stuff. so at first i didn't want him to come back bc i was afraid he'd be different from the Antonio i made up in my head... but then. i haven't sat n watched, at mostly full attention, a whole stream for 7 hours in a while LOL

when i watched cc!buddha's rdrp vods a year ago n saw Antonio, i thought to myself "oh no... Tony isn't actually my new muse is he...?". and for a while i didn't draw him bc i didn't have any ideas + i didn't really know how to draw him. but i did know that when i did learn how to draw him, it'd be over for me (i wouldn't want to draw anyone else, and i was right oops 😭)

my idea of Antonio is he's just a dumb, impulsive, silly little theatre kid that got wrapped up in being an outlaw bc of Wu n Dot after his house burned down. they woulda been moving around in old box cars wherever the trains took them. Dot dies before the events of WildRP(headcanon), and Wu to me, is the autistic kid that follows Antonio around bc he talks a lot n has charisma lolol. also, to me, Wu is not as evil as he was intended to be, he just follows in Sonny's footsteps who's calculated n violent. While Antonio chooses Cesare's path to be more diplomatic and focuses more on his reputation. Antonio can't win a fight to save his life, and i love him for it. he thinks he's scary n dangerous, but to me, he couldn't hurt a fly hehe. i mean, one of the first things he did in the crossing was host a talent show at the local theatre. i'm a big fan of pathetic men, what can i say.

speaking of, i love how pathetically in love he is with Renni. and i love how, despite how much they like each other, they never actually get together n still respect each other as friends. they are the embodiment of the saying "if you love something let it go, if it comes back its yours" but without the last part.. they are so tragic to me.

in the last 3.5 years of watching rp, i've never had any character or character dynamic make me cry. like, as much as i love how doomed n toxic Donnie/Lang is, i've teared up a bit, but they've never made me cry just thinking about them. but Antonio, n by extension, his relationship with Renni, has made me cry multiple times just thinking about them 😭 and yeah, i cried the other day when Antonio was thinking about Renni LOL

the main problem for me is that meta vision and analyzing the field end up being VERY long and pointless dialogue explaining Isagi's every muscle twitch.

which we already got too much of. so it's just heaping on extra.

it's really boring, plus, here's the other dirty secret.

Barcha was fine, because it was 9 chapters, and it was mostly just Bachira and Otoya and Lavinho getting to shine. These are fairly likable characters (quirky, you know?), even if they get brushed over.

Manshine was really good, because while it was long-ish, it was exciting because Nagi is always fun to see, since his goals are insane, PLUS he and Reo "fixed" their beef during the match, which was something to get you emotionally invested in Nagi's success.

Plus, Chigiri vs. Kaiser was epic, since we all love Chigiri, and can root for him to beat this smarmy little prick.

Chigiri, Nagi, and Reo have had the most development, since they've been with us from first selection, and are in general, very relatable/interesting people. They have emotional depth. They kept us very invested.

But then you get to Ubers, and it's like...

I like Barou, ok? I think he's great. I didn't like him originally, but being humbled by Isagi made him a pretty good character in my book...

But he can't carry that match alone.

Look at the cast, man.

I'm sorry, but Aryu? A shallow character who can be funny here and there, but has largely lost relevance? Niko, a guy with no backstory, who has always been just a pale imitation of Isagi AND who can't stop yapping too?

Aiku, who was interesting originally, but barely gets to do anything in this match which was SUPPOSED TO BE about how good Ubers is at defense?

I also personally don't like Sendou, although I know some people do (he's too het for me). Not really sure what his character traits are, besides him wanting to date a Hollywood actress.

These are like, the surface level characters.

They don't have the rich history of Nagi and Reo. They don't have the character depth of Bachira or the realism of Chigiri, nor the sympathy that those two characters evoke.

These are like, just opponents Isagi has to surpass.

Like the other characters technically are too, but, at least they felt more personal. These guys, nah.

Now I did like Lorenzo, the ace eater. He's a very interesting idea... but he does lose his relevance, and become nonexistent, the way every character does in these matches.

And Barou, I mean... I like the guy, but something was just missing for me...him changing the plan was...kinda whatever to me. It somehow felt like it went on too long, while also happening way too fast... and that's been all of NEL for me.

And that's the other issue, besides the characters.

The pacing of NEL is pretty bad.

Barcha was super short, and Manshine wasn't so bad until the end... but Ubers is where the drag happens.

Just so much dialogue. No emotional investment, just rambling about where isagi's foot was five minutes ago.

That's the biggest issue, ok?

It always is. You can't expect an audience to care, if you don't give them characters to root for.

Isagi was such a prick during Manshine, that I was starting to dislike him. But Ubers was where he started to feel like he was never going to lose again.

So that's where he became really unlikable to me during this arc...and then we get to Ubers, where he's like a god, and it's like ok... a god who can do no wrong, against characters we don't care about?

so i dont have much to yap about at this moment but i just got back from school SOOOO ill yap about that!!

starting off strong i woke up an hour + 15 mins late and had 20 minutes to get ready and eat... i was almost late this morning BUT i have fitness first thing in the morning on my a-days (we work on an a/b schedule!!) and my teacher always comes late to that!! so i had time to dress down and i BOOKED IT to the weight room + made it!! in that class we basically just do weightlifting + my usual partner wasnt there bc she had a golf tournament... so i was with some of my other friends for lifting!! was kinda thriving bc my other partner usually does heavier weights + they did lighter ones SO I WAS REALLY REALLY FAST W MY SETS i was very proud!!

then i went into second period (i have bio) and we were doing a lab where we examined some cells in onions, tomatoes, + the inside of our cheeks (ew) but basically we had to group up and im not rly fond of one of the girls that r in my group cause she doesn't talk much she just squeezes in to look through the microscope so it annoys me 😞 ANYWAY THE LAB WAS LIGHT WORK GOT IT DONE IN 30 MINS and then i had like an hour of free time after that so i asked for a hall pass and i roamed the halls for a bit 😸 after that i have to go to advisory + i was just helping people w math hw and doing some of the nyt games to kill my boredom (oh and drivers ed stuff!!)

at lunch i was just sitting with some of my friends and playing imessage games with them 😭 then we went into the gym and played volleyball for a bit!!

Forgive me for like yapping at you for a while this is gonna be a long one, and I totally get if you don't respond to this at all and just delete it from your inbox it's just something that has been bothering me sooo much

And before I start I want to clarify this is not hate! I'm just intending to like. Discuss yk?

So in your video analysis of female characters in ninjago I was quite excited to get to the bit about Harumi because she's a really interesting character and absolutely one of my favorites. But when I did it was like you missed every major aspect of her character and motivations and it was especially disappointing because like. The video was worded to accomodate new/non-fans who don't know about these characters! And it's disheartening when a character is completely misunderstood especially in a video where the point is to explain these characters and how they are often misunderstood or poorly represented by the writers

I think you were really hung up on the idea that Harumi had any good motivations for what she was doing which is just. Not true. Harumi never wanted to help people who had similar situations to her. The whole point of her character is that she's held onto her anger and hatred to the point it's all that drives her, which is what makes her death so impactful- It's the moment she sees the error of her ways and the fact that she's only perpetrated the same cycle that hurt her.

You brought up the fact that it didn't make sense for her feeding the poor to be an act. But it does if you think about the rest of the context of the scene. I know it's easy to miss things when you're trying to get all the information together for a video like that so I totally don't blame you for this one, but Lloyd brings up the fact that her room seemed ransacked and her window was blown open. The intent there on Harumi's part was to get him to follow her so he'd see her doing something "good" that'd throw him off her trail. This is something she does OFTEN. Like when the ninja are discussing who the quiet one could be or when Lloyd is shocked by her ability to throw the machete.

Harumi, in the oni trilogy at least is consistent with her motives. They screwed her up real bad in crystalized, but in the Oni trilogy the point of her character was that her worldview was fucked up and she didn't care who she hurt until she realized that she was being no better than the people who hurt her.

I think since there is such a drastic tonal shift when we get to the Oni trilogy, you were probably unintentionally looking at it through the same lense as the rest of the series where the themes and such are very surface-level and spelled out easily so again I don't like hate you for not understanding her motives or hell even falling for the manipulation tactics she employed that the viewer was supposed to look a little more into but I needed to like ramble about it SORRY this ended up much longer than I intended ^^; don't feel pressured to respond or anything

OoOOOooo! I usually answer my asks in order, but this one is real tempting right now, so I absolutely will respond. And before we get into everything, I want to extend you the same exact courtesy you did me. I'm just here to discuss. Absolutely zero hard feelings or hate.

First off, I think that is a great, and perfectly valid interpretation. Have fun with it. It's certainly a little more cohesive than what I got out of the season. I do, however, think you underestimate how much thought went into my video. As a bit of behind the scenes, Harumi was absolutely the piece of the script I was most paranoid about missing something for, because I don't have the same love for the character as most of the fandom, so I was thinking about her characterization a lot. Unfortunately, I have in fact considered all the pieces you have presented here. I just don't think those pieces actually fit together so neatly as presented in the show.

Specifically, I think it's very clear that we are supposed to have some amount of agreement with/sympathy for Harumi. Her backstory in flashback is supposed to be very heart wrenching. We see her child self go numb at the end, not angry, it's not trying to show us the start to a hardening progression, it's showing us harumi, currently angry at what happened to the little girl she used to be. If she were supposed to be a pure evil villain like Aspheera who's just evil because she is, whose justifications don't really line up, they would not have tried so hard to make us cry about her past. The backstory is structured so that it seems to give her a proper motive. She outright states her motive in her villain reveal monologue. If the point was to highlight how far from those original motivations she has strayed, it should have, I don't know, been highlighted in narrative? Have people bring it up? Have people try and appeal to her supposed motivation, have it not work, and then realize how far she's gone?

Harumi going to feed the poor was a move to throw Lloyd off the scent? What kind of 4d chess is she playing? She's got to assume lloyd will come look for her after happening to see a trashed room in a very narrow timeframe, follow her, and then talk with her while feeding children, all so that he... trusts her? After he already very clearly trusts her? All the other examples you bring up are harumi misdirecting attention after they start to catch on to her with minimal logistical effort. This is not that. Feeding the poor would be an insane preventative measure to take with a ton of extra complicated steps, that ultimately doesn't even gain her any new advantages. At that point, it's just bad writing. And if this was supposed to be an example of how she's betraying the motives she claims to be fighting for, again, it should have been highlighted in the narrative. As we have it, it's only brought up as an example of how manipulable the ninja are, not how far she's strayed from her purpose.

Now, is what your trying to say here what they intended to portray? Very likely. That's what the best written version of this character looks like. It's the only way her arc in the oni trilogy makes sense. Which, I do praise once I get to my season 9 bit. I talk about the cycle of hurt, and how good her death is, on multiple levels, and I end with an overall positive outlook on the character as flawed but ultimately impactful until we get to crystalized. But again, that is not what actually got portrayed to us in season 8. Do not give the writers credit for dots that you were able to shuffle around into making sense. I think I make it pretty clear that I understand Harumi isn't supposed to have a reasonable motive in the review. My confusion is at the narrative dissonance this reveal has when we get to it, because of the hints that tell the audience to relate to Harumi as a villain. The backstory, the attempt at a logical motive, and the girl boss feminism twist all point us in the direction of there being something she's actually fighting for. I think they did a bad job at portraying the ideas they wanted to get across, and my goal in the review is to highlight where those dissonances are, because the writing on her character to portray these ideas wasn't done correctly.

That, on top of the basic factual timeline errors in her backstory and logistics around her plan just push my perspective over the edge for me. I wasn't blind to the points your making here, I was intentionally de-emphasizing them to bring attention to the poor writing that tried to show us those elements. My thesis is that harumi was underthought, and I stand by that thesis. I have yet to come across an argument that has convinced me otherwise, though I don't discount that there may yet be one out there.

Cariad was playing with her friend Madeline. At least, Cariad thought Madeline was her friend. They were playing superhero’s, and apparently Madeline had a power that made Cariad go away because she was annoying. Naive, innocent little Cariad believed it was just part of the game. Riz glanced up over his science book at the pair. He felt bad for the little blonde girl, just trying desperately to make friends. He’s given up on that a long time ago. All the kids were…immature. He couldn’t blame them. This was preschool- of course the kids were immature. But they just didn’t get him in the slightest.

Cariad then tried to be social. She didn’t necessarily want to be. She liked being solitary and by herself. But her mother had told her to at least try and make an effort so she did. The staff had given up trying to coax Riz.

To her surprise, the kids let her join the game. But she was forced to be the maid while everyone else was royalty. She seemed content with the role, being the outsider, until a girl screamed. Cariad instantly covered her ears. She hated, hated, hated loud noises. She walked away from the game and saw Riz. He seemed quiet. A little intimidating but she doubted he’d be loud. So she approached him with a small smile. She was wearing cute little dungarees and her hair was in two plaids held by pretty pink ribbons. A smile was plastered on her face.

“Hello! I’m Cariad. You’re Riz, right? Can I sit with you please?” She asked, twiddling with her fingers. He gave a silent nod to say yes. She sat beside him and peeped over his shoulder to see what he was reading.

“That seems pretty interesting!” Her gaze turned excited when he got to a page about marine life. Cariad knew everything there was to know about sea life, she studied it in her own time frequently.

“Did you know that sharks can go into a trance? When you flip a shark upside down they go into a trance-like state called tonic immobility!” She said excitedly. She adored sharks, an uncommon interest in 1880. “And they’ve been around for like a really really long time, like 445 million years! Can you imagine being alive for that long?!” He listened intently, the corner of his mouth twitching up slightly in amusement. Her eyes were sparkling with glee at the opportunity to ramble. Most people told her to shut up by now. And other kids normally weren’t interested anyways. It was nice he was listening to her. But then she figured he was just being polite and that he didn’t care either so she reigned herself in a little.

“Sorry-.” She mumbled. That’s when he did something unexpected. He chuckled. She hardly heard a word out of that boy the whole time she’d been at this preschool and here he was laughing. She liked his laugh, it made her smile.

He scooted over closer to share the book with her and they read it together, Cariad just yapping if she saw something that caught her interest. “You seem to know a lot about this kind of thing, huh?”

“Mhm! I’ve got so many books like this at home! I love reading! I like fiction but non fiction is really cool because I like knowing about the world. Mother calls it a special interest or something. Do you have anything like that?”

“I like science.”

“Science is so cool!” She grinned. She was always grinning, like a little sunshine. She leaned her head on his shoulder to read the book better. Riz flinched slightly, before he realised what she was doing. She was touching him…nicely? He could hardly recall a time he’d been touched with care, rather than loathing. Being groomed to be the next dark lord didn’t exactly give him a loving household. Yes, he couldn’t feel pain. But he could still suffer things like passing out even if he couldn’t feel it. Some people close to the family thought it was fascinating and a gift. Riz knew it was a dangerous curse.

He focused on the little girl on his shoulder. Maybe there was one tolerable person at this preschool after all. He hardly noticed Cariad undoing her cute little plaits to tie the pink ribbon in a bow around his index finger. She tried to do the same for herself but she struggled to tie it around herself, so Riz gently took her hand and tied it for her. She smiled at him and put her head back on his shoulder. The staff looked slightly shocked, but we’re glad the girl people found annoying and the boy who kept to himself had found a friend in eachother.

The two ended up falling asleep. They’d skipped ‘nap time’ to read with eachother and talk. When Eloise, Cariads mother, and Riz’s nanny came to collect the kids at home time, they saw them cuddled up on a bean bag, a book on their lap. Cariad was asleep on his shoulder and Riz leant his cheek against her head. Both were reluctant to pull the two apart, they looked so content. But eventually, Eloise picked up her daughter and left. She noticed her hair had come out of its pigtails. Before she saw the pink ribbon tied around her finger, with the other ribbon around Riz’s index finger. She smiled to herself.

Maybe her daughter would have friends after all.

Thank you for what you said about the eras tour rant I went on, it's really helped to calm some of my nerves.

Also good news! We didn't sell the tickets to strangers but to someone my mum works with and they will probably be able to grab the merch we want when they go to their show if we give them money for them so I probably won't have to worry about merch lines at all which is good. But if the lines are short when we go we might go anyway just to see what's left yk.

I have got the loop experience 2 earplugs because I saw a bunch of people recommending them but I'm really scared I'll be able to hear my voice really loudly in my head. I'll see when I get there whether the noise is bad enough to have to wear them.

It is almost only 10 days away and i am freaking out!!!! There is no way I am seeing Taylor swift in 10 days that's not real. She's literally my favourite person in the world and I'm going to see her in real life I am so EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

How did you organise your bracelets? I want to put the ones I get from other people on my wrists and keep the ones I've made separate but I just found out that wembley don't allow metal carabiners inside so I am trying to come up with a new way to hold them. My bag has a bunch of compartments (because I like to organise) so I might just have them loose in one of the big compartments lol

I'm trying to get everything that I need to get done over summer break done before my show so after I can just lay and think "oh my god that was amazing I'm so sad it's over" but I tried to open the book I have to read yesterday and I just kind of stared at it for a while, not a lot of reading happened... But I opened it!!! And that counts as progress 😌

I got my tickets over a year ago (11th July 2023) and I have been waiting so patiently I can hardly control myself anymore. Like on the 16th August I am going to be AT THE ERAS TOUR!!!!! it's crazy I can't believe it. I watch a livestream of every single show (yes, every. Single. One. I know it's excessive but I just love it so much) and soon it will be MY show. I have seen it through over 100 grainy livestreams at like 2am and during classes and MY SHOW is so close I am so excited I could throw up, my stomach hurts if I think about it for too long.

This was long and it was mostly me rambling but once I get talking about it it's hard for me to stop so sorry but hey it could have been worse! How are you? I hope you're doing well, summer sucks sometimes cause of the heat but sometimes it's great, and I hope it's going great for you!

Charismatic anon here, I'm intrigued by your BBS F1 Au, feel free to use my ask to ramble.

I have just so much to talk about it, mainly now since the F1 2025 Season is coming soon, and there's so much i'm excited about, We got Hamilton at Ferrari making my two favorite drivers in one team that I always loved, Gabriel Bortoleto making his debut. and the list goes on! there's so much stuff to look foward! I can do so much yapping but I don't want this to be a very long post. BUT ONTO SOME DETAILS ABOUT THE AU, I'll be working on them again once the season starts cuz then i'll feel motivated again. They'll still be youtubers so nicks like "Vanoss" and "Terroriser" are still a thing since the F1 Drivers themselves often streams or record together when they're not racing, biggest example of this is Max Vertstappen WHO BY THE WAY WAS PLAYING A RACING SIM INSTEAD OF RESTING 3 HOURS BEFORE A GRAND PRIX- This man casually having his world champion trophy beside his computer

So all of them will still be having their Youtuber career, And AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALSO also, Vanoss will be having his music career as well ill have some fun making this man multitask kinda like Charles Leclerc who often produces music based on some races by the way i recommend they are so...i dunno inspiring? its always lovely listening to them

Im often using the drivers as example cuz i kinda feel like I have to justify some stuff, and also because these examples show me that these type of things CAN HAPPEN!

Now talking about the AU itself, the main focus is going to be Vanoss and Terroriser, since they'll have a fierce rivalry. Brian's a two time world champion, but Vanoss is a rookie, and is making an insane debut, he's a fast and somewhat a calm driver, making his strategies really impressive even for his own team. While Brian is a bit more aggressive and their team struggles in making these two get along, sometimes they'll be racing wheel-to-wheel for five corners just to win a race or even crash at each other's cars. But that does not mean they'll be enemies.

Take Senna's and Prost's Rivalry, They used to fight so many times, crash into each other in deciding races. But off track? They were really good friends, to the point after Prost's retirement, Senna would always say that F1 wasn't as much fun without Prost as a rival.

Everyone expect for Vanoss and Delirious, Often vlogs the behind the scenes of race weekends

Moo has been in F1 for some time now, He knows the dangers of this sport and how sometimes the race directior can be disappointing, so he is very attentive to each driver, and in cases of accidents he always makes sure that the injured driver is okay, even if it costs him a victory.

Nogla is a driver who either wins in a spectacular fashion or crashes out in the first lap. There's no in between.

Terroriser has a love hate relationship with his engineer, who has to deal with his mid race rants

Delirious is the only driver who refuses to show his face on camera of course, he's always wearing his helmet or just a regular mask

and I have SO MUCH MORE to talk about, But I do have the time to work on this idea, and of course. Draw about it, and I want to show my ideas, even if they're just nonsense. Youtubers as F1 Drivers? That sounds ridiculous

But I don't know...I just love, mixing up things I really like.

tell me about you + your friend’s 80s au?

oh lord where do i even start 😭 i’m about to be yapping for a long time i apologize in advance.

so, me n my group of friends got together and put an 80’s au together called Island Wheels! we’ve all been working on it for a while and i love it dearly i’m ngl. i write ralph’s perspective (might have been obvious..) and basically his whole character so most of the stuff in this ramble will be about his side of the story!! (we also assume that mulberry boy [we named him maxwell], simon, and piggy are still alive and just got really beat up or something)

we assigned each of the boys a type of skating/something on wheels!! so ralph roller skates (i think piggy would attempt to roller skate too? he just wouldn’t like it very much and opt to play the arcade games or smt lolll), jack and roger roller blade, simon and maurice skateboard, and samneric ride bicycles (or only one for both of them sometimes..)! they all hang out at the local skating rink to just get away from everything though.

to start: his family. i hc that ralph is a middle child! his older brother is robert and his younger brother is maxwell. his fathers name is felix allebach and his mothers name was clara, who passed away when ralph was seven. his father remarried to an american woman named trudy jennings. ralph’s full name is ralph rover jennings-allebach. his brothers are amazing; maxwell looks up to ralph like an idol of some sort, and robert would literally kill for his younger brothers. his relationship with his father is also really good too! the allebachs are british-german, making them practically fluent in both languages as they grew up around german speaking family. their family is more lower-middle class, leaning hard on the lower part.

ralph’s character: basically brother has issues. he has ocd, ptsd from the island, anxiety/hallucinations, and he tends to go into depressive slumps every so often; especially when things aren’t clean or ‘manipulated’ to how it wants them to be. this is what my most recent art was about!! he was freaking out because he looks “like a corpse” and how he can’t recognize himself anymore after getting smoked out of the island. yikes.

last section bcz i don’t want to spoil too much!! how did jack and ralph re-meet?: they wound up going to the same boarding school (wow shocker ikr) and ralph becomes distant after figuring that out. but one night during a party at the skating rink, roger shoves jack into ralph which leads into jack spilling his drink all over him. (fun fact this entire scene was inspired by Ribs by Lorde so um. thanks Lorde?) ralph still like hates jack at this time so jack is like “uhmmmmmhhh ill go get paper towels ahaha” and he just ditches and probably punches roger. and then (shocker again) their sophomore year they get put in a dorm together and simply have to Deal With It! they do end up getting along a little while into it though :)

i don’t want to spoil a whole hell of a lot but that’s a little bit of it :,) i’ve been waiting for someone to ask though i’ve been so excited FJSHSJJS. i have so much more i’m so sorry for the literal paragraphs already BAHAHAHA take some soggy ralph as compensation 🥹
