Like macaque somehow winds up with amnesia (memories going back to the time of the brother hood maybe?) and once he catches sight of his wife he’s immediately smitten and starts flirting and trying to court her the entire time as everyone tries to figure out how to fix him? Please and thank you 🙏🏻

notes: this is my first oneshot, apologies! i went for a more clingy macaque approach, since he was way shyer during the brotherhood era. also, since the brotherhood era was before macaque was betrayed and started to develop his abandonment issues, he was probably way more affectionate, thus this. so now yall get clingy cat macaque and his wife

Amnesia Rules Macaque

“What do you mean, ‘he’s looking for me???’” You asked through the phone, tapping your foot on the floor, eyebrows furrowed. MK was on the other end, hastily explaining. “I MEAN that we woke him up while he was mystic monkey meditating and now he doesn’t remember us, hates the Monkey King-“ You sighed. “Doesn’t he already hate him??” Silence. “Thats besides the point! He’s been looking for you for AGES, We had to tie him up so he wouldn’t escape!”

You groaned. “I’ll be right there.”

When you walked into Pigsy’s Noodles, out of all the things you thought could happen, you did not expect this. Macaque was clinging onto you like a koala, hissing at anyone who went 50 feet close to you. “So you’re telling me, that Macaque lost his memories??” You asked, crossing your legs as Macaque nuzzled your neck. “Yeah, basically..” MK groaned. Wukong, who was hiding behind the counter as to not get mauled to his impossible death by Macaque, peeked his head out. “Geez, I forgot how annoying Macaque was back then-“ He shut himself up as Macaque growled at him. “Hey, no growling.” You scolded, petting Macaque’s head. The monkey purred, leaning into your touch. “You’re great with your hands~” He chuckled as you went bright red. “So.. how do we get him back to normal??” Sandy raised a brow, looking at the smitten monkey. Everyone in the room looked directly at Tang, who was eating his noodles without a care. “What? Why are you all looking at me?” Tang crossed his arms as Pigsy facepalmed himself. “Tang, you KNOW WHY! We need to get Macaque back to normal!” 

Wukong nodded from his hiding spot. “Yeah! Can we go back to grumpy Macaque and not have a Macaque thats trying to maul me 24/7, Jangles? PLEASE???” You shrugged. “I dunno.. I like cuddly Macaque. Can we keep him like this?” You kissed Macaque’s forehead as he purred, hugging you tighter. Your heart melted; it was if you were watching a little cat. A cat so adorable you couldn’t help but take a picture. For blackmail. Totally not because you thought it was cute. 

Tang hummed. “I mean.. if this works the same way it did when Monkey King lost his memories.. we just gotta crush him with a rock.”

Your eyes widened as you choked on your spit. “CRUSH HIM WITH A ROCK?! THE HELL YOU MEAN ‘CRUSH HIM WITH A ROCK?!” Macaque noticed your anger, looking up at you. “Starlight? Everything okay?” You snapped out of your rage instantly, glancing at Macaque. “I’m fine Mac. No need to worry.” You squeezed his hand and kissed his cheek, causing a bit of pink to creep up his face. Macaque, in an attempt to hide this, buried his face in your chest. 

“Any blunt force will do, cause we aren’t exactly in a place where giant rocks are right now..” Tang said, fixing his glasses. “So what do we do then? Keep him like this?!” Pigsy asked, crossing his arms. “Please do.” You chimed in. Suddenly, Mei gasped. “I have a great idea.”

“WHY DID I HAVE TO BE THE BAIT???” Wukong screamed as he ran through Flower Fruit Mountain. Sandy, Tang, Pigsy, MK, Mei, and you watched as Macaque chased a screaming Wukong down. “DON’T WORRY MONKEY KING! YOU GOT THIS!” MK yelled, giving him a thumbs up. “Okay.. almost there..” Mei watched carefully. As Macaque chased Wukong, he got closer and closer to the cliff where they all were. “NOW!” 

Sandy quickly pushed a beige boulder off the cliff, crushing Macaque with it. You were just standing there, flabbergasted as your best friends casually crushed your husband with a boulder like it was nothing. Sandy pat your shoulder in consolation as you stood there. Wukong sighed in relief. “Thank god its over-“ As Macaque stirred, Wukong yelped, summoning his cloud and flying away instantly. You on the other hand, ran right up to him. “Hun?? Macaque??” You asked frantically. Macaque got up, groaning as he rubbed his head. He looked over at you with those gorgeous amber eyes. “Hey, gem..” He smiled. Suddenly, you hugged him tightly, peppering his face in kisses. “Oh thank GOD you’re back-“ Macaque blinked, confused til he looked up to see the others on the cliff, peering down and awwing at the sight. “Ah. I see..” He sighed, looking back down at you and your worried face. He chuckled. “Don’t worry, plum..” He kissed your forehead. “Nothing can make me forget my love for you.”

Wait when did Nezha become school friends with Peaches??? That's so cute and sad!

I mentioned it in this post about how the Celestial Realm be doing about Wukong's sudden change in behavior.

Nezha is like the only Celestial who would bother investigating what happened the night Wukong starting acting strange - his "Protector of Children" powers telling him that an infant was in distress.

Nezha doesn't find it surprising that Wukong got hurt protecting a baby. But what does is the fact that A: Baby is a brand new Stone Monkey, and B: Wukong seems to have lost his memories.

The Four Stalwarts have all agreed to let their King heal in his own time, not wanting to stress him or their new Prince out. Wukong hasn't truly lived for a long time, and perhaps this unusual circumstance will patch up the holes in his spirit.

But, Nezha isn't about to let Wukong wander around Megapolis without some back-up so...

Peaches: "Hi dads! This is Nez! He's in my class at school." "Nez", a snake demon: "Hi." Tang, sitting at the coffee table: "Nice to meet you, Nez! I'm Mr Tang, one of Peaches' guardians. I'm glad that he's made a friend!" Pigsy: "I'll stick on a fresh pot of tea. Did you have dinner yet, kiddo? You sure that your parents know where you are?" "Nez", surprised: "Uh. Well, I usually feed myself. It's no issue with my father." Pigsy, immediately in the kitchen: "Then you should stay for dinner! We're having banmian." Baby MK, on a baby mat: "Ban-man!" Peaches, cooing at the baby: "Yes, didi! Ban-mian! You're getting smarter every day!" Baby MK: (*delighted chirping!*) "Nez": (*sheds single tear of joy at seeing a healthy family dynamic*)

Pigsy thinks Peaches' friend is a little cold, but probably just needs some support. He always makes sure Nez leaves with a few servings of dinner for himself.

Tang is... suspicious. But a lot of the details he's managed to pick up seem to paint a picture of a stunted, mixed-demon with an unsupportive parent. And while Nez talks like an adult, he still reacts to things like a kid does. Tang and Nez share mythology knowledge whenever they run into each other. Tang wonders if there's a way to meet Nez's father... so he can smack him.

And ofc the baby stone monkey Xiaotian/MK. Nez has held full conversations with the infant - a side effect of his position as Protector of Children. MK thinks Nez is the coolest person on earth (other than his gege Peaches of course!).

Wukong is playing to good host to the Pilgrims, even whilst they seemingly continuously made asses of themselves. To be fair to them, their reaction to a television could have gone worse. The only casualty to that anomaly of technology and magic is a broken VR headset at least, and Wujing had been profusely apologetic since they got it into his head that the machine wasn't some demon trap. And they were trying very hard to be gracious guests! There was just one singular problem that kept getting on the way.

This is not the Pilgrims Wukong had known at the end of the Journey. Not the brave and selfless Tripitaka, not the loyal and true Ao Lie, not the steadfast Wujing, and maot definitely not the rough around the edges but still very kind Zu Baije. And it was clear to them that they felt much the same about Wukong, flinching st every move he made as if e expecting him to attack if given the chance, much like he would have done had he been given the chance early on in the journey. Wukong was happy to see his brother's again, but instead of the family he had found along the journey, he instead has the cowardly monk, selfish pig, meek dragon, and unenthusiastic water demon he had started the journey with. The ones who hated and feared him and he hated and feared in turn before time and many enemies along the way broke through each other's walls and forced them to bond together.

At the very least Ao Lie was enthusiastic to see him and excited about learning about how life has evolved from the Tang dynasty. He took one glance at the many photos around the house and clocked onto Mei as being his decendant immediately. He's been enthusiastically talking about baby dragons since and asking about every little thing in the picture. Wukong was happy to tell him of the little spitfire hatchling thay inherited his sword and how the world has changed their view on many things, proper behavior of men and women included. He even showed Ao Lie some of the outfits Mei and he picked out together in their last shopping trip, dresses and skirts included.

That's when Zu Baije put his foot in his mouth by commentating on the fact Wukong was cross dressing, putting Wukong in a terrible mood. After reaming Baije out on his sexist ideologies and how out of date they were even amongs Tang era demons, frightening Tripitaka into hiding under the couch cushions in the process, Wukong had stormed out to where MK had been cleaning up a bit, havinf insisted on doing that to give Wukong time with his old friends, fur puffed irritably.

"Oh, that's not a good sign." MK paused from scrubbing the wall he was cleaning to comment the moment he saw Wukong's tail lashing about like a snake, "What happened?"

"I didn't hit any of them, if that's what your asking about." Wukong grumbled, grabbing a spare bristle brush and stepping up next to MK to help, "Just... forgot how people in the Tang dynasty viewed... certain types of dress."

"They found the dresses?"

"Yup."

"Baije make fun of you?"

"How'd you know it was Baije?" Wukong quirked a brow at his apprentice, fairly certain he'd never told him anything about the Pilgrims for him to come to that conclusion. MK gave him an awkward grin in return.

"I maaay have started reading the book. At least some of it. Macaque was bugging me about it."

"I see." Wukong frowned at that, because if MK had gotten far enough into the book that he'd know Baije was an asshole, then he probably knows about all the things Wukong had done at his worst. It makes him worry about what impression thay made on his young apprentice.

Oh, Woe Is the King (of Losing Board Games) [Warm-Up]

Summary: Macaque decides to join the MK gang for game night, only to find out that even after centuries of life, Wukong is still terrible at board games and even worse at losing.

If there was a genre of story Macaque tended to find himself comparing his demise to the most, it was the one that detailed the thrilling cycle of betrayal.

A story as old as time, no doubt: a character gets betrayed, plots their revenge, enacts said revenge.

In its own irony of Macaque's misfortune, his plotting phase had surprisingly come easier than the betrayal portion. He'd reasoned that any fool could be spiteful, but to die in a scenic display of childhood betrayal? Now that took effort and vaguely alluded to plot twists.

What didn't was rotting away in Diyu with nothing to do. When time was all he had, it was easy to let his frustrations and anger fester, to create plans for when he eventually made his debut back to the mortal plane.

Between grit teeth and pitch black walls he'd sworn that Wukong would one day know what it'd been like to have his world torn from him. To feel the seething bite of rage and heartbreak collide in some twisted mockery of a tale.

He just didn't think his revenge would end up like this. Unplanned and strangely reminiscent of a fonder life.

Because even after several millennia of living, Wukong is just as shit at board games as Macaque remembers him to be.

And as he places his final Scrabble tile onto the board, the king's face twisting into one of unadulterated rage, he grins beneath the realization that Wukong's also still the worst loser in all three Realms.

With a harsh squeal of wood against metal the king's chair flies backward, his auburn hands slamming against the table. His expression is one Macaque almost wishes he could take a picture of, eyebrows knit and jaw set tight as he bites words through his teeth.

The Great Sage looks just about ready to throw the table- and Macaque knows he isn't above it. Still, Wukong's reaction remains thinly leashed if only by the presence of MK and his companions.

It's enough of a safety net that the shadow lets himself bask beneath the heat of Wukong's seething, the urge to thank MK for inviting him and fan the fire further a salivating thought on his tongue. He's almost giddy enough to acknowledge the twinge of guilt for having thought the kid's "game night" was nothing more than some poor attempt for bonding time.

Now it seems more like the kid had been hoping for someone to finally kick his mentor off his high horse.

With a pleasant hum Macaque leans back into his chair, a spitting image of relaxation as he relishes in Wukong's yells of frustration.

"That's not even a word!"

The outburst is enough to earn a glance between the other two at the table, MK and Tang's gazes fleeing toward the kitchen in search of where the pig and dragon girl had disappeared.

It's only when no help erupts that Tang's eyebrows pinch. "...obstinate?"

"Monkey King," MK begins, his voice pulled taut with long-overdue exasperation. It's about as close to a "warning" as the kid would ever offer, especially to his own mentor. "We've been playing for an hour, just give him the win."

"Nope," the king dismisses, popping the 'p'. "Macaque's not winning on some cheap attempt to fake a word. Where'd ya' put the dictionary, bud?"

"Is that an official challenge?" Macaque asks innocently, his chest leaning slightly into the table. "You're gonna lose the game and your turn, Your Majesty."

His head tips toward the scoresheet in front of Tang, the man already halfway through marking down an additional zero at Wukong's column. It's almost funny as he runs through the other three columns all marked with double digit numbers alike.

And yet Wukong's remains a steady line of zeroes. Not for a lack of trying, Macaque might add. The king just couldn't help himself with challenging any word above a fifth grade reading level.

His eyes roll back toward Wukong's own, the kings' narrowed and gaze challenging in a way that would usually set Macaque's nerves ablaze.

"So be it."

"Tang, the book."

"On it," comes the reply, the mortal's face already smothered in some dictionary Macaque couldn't be bothered to name. It's difficult to focus on something so insignificant when he's about to win the game and a staring contest.

"Get that thing away from him," the pig- Pigsy suddenly scolds from the kitchen. "He's just lookin' for words to use next round! Tang, give the damn book to Macaque."

"And let Macaque find it?" Wukong and Tang shriek in unison.

"Oh-kay!" MK claps. "I'll look through it, gimme the book."

Macaque only smiles sweetly as the kid's handed the dictionary, ears twitching at the pig's mutter of "-bunch of toddlers-" before the sound of broth stirring smooths it over.

"I think I found it. 'Obstinate: refusing to change your opinions when others try to persuade you to'. See, now we can-"

"Oh-ho, would ya' look at that?" Macaque croons, tilting his chin up. "Still wanna be 'obstinate', Monkey King?"

He nearly flinches as a frantic thud fills the room. A blink proves Wukong to still stand at the opposite end of the table and seconds later the dragon girl- Mei flails herself into the corner of his vision.

His ears twitch at her quiet chant of "-fight, fight, fight-", the sound grating.

Mei's voice only quiets as Pigsy takes a step into the living space, tone disapproving as he waves his spoon toward the shack's door. "Take it outside."

"Pigsy," MK complains from the table. "We agreed we wouldn't let them fight."

"Uh, duh they're gonna fight," Mei laughs. "That's kinda their thing."

But Wukong doesn't move, resolute in his position despite the clench of his fists and familiar glimmers of fury in his eyes. It's enough for fear and dread to sink their fangs into Macaque's stomach, throat suddenly dry of taunts.

He knows this isn't born of fear over being beaten to a pulp, nor can he blame his anxiety on the idea of being dragged to Diyu once more. It's something much worse.

Wukong could easily take the moral high ground, claim himself to be better than some petty squabble over a game. It'd be humiliating, sure, but it'd paint the king in a far better light in front of MK.

Macaque just needed to be a little more enticing.

There's a gentle thrum of magic as shadows slink up his arm, the black tendrils thickening at his hand until they form a suitable staff to wield. He barely makes it to the shack's doorway before he glances back, head lolling until he can see Wukong.

"You coming, Monkey King?"

Like a dog Wukong's head lifts to attention, his hands already pulling his own staff from his ear.

"Yeah, yeah. But only so MK can learn how to wipe the floor with you."

--Oh gosh MK is getting WORSE.

--I now firmly believe in the HC that Wukong's lessons are all planned no more than five minutes in advance of MK showing up for training.

--They really didn't know why any of this is happening???? Wukong really didn't know who MK was before he chose the kid??????

--I think that's the most civil conversation Wukong and Macaque have had this whole series. Except the one on the beach.

--DYING OF CUTENESS OVERLOAD. they REBUILT HIS HOUSE? they PUT PICTURES OF EVERYONE IN IT?? both PHOTOS AND MK DRAWINGS??? the LITTLE PAPER PILGRIMS????

--PIGSY TAKING CARE OF MK AND TEACHING HIM COOKING. MAKING HIM THE THING THAT HELPS HIM SLEEP. CARRYING HIM TO BED. "I LOVE YOU SON".

--Can we just discuss Wukong's reaction to the new circlet. The immediate PANIC and SCREAMING and then he realizes he's scaring MK so he forces himself to calm down but you could SEE the trauma response.

--Poor Nezha. Man is just trying to do his job and clearly under a lot of pressure from his dad. Clearly does not even want to be here.

Oh my gosh happy birthday!! :D For the sake of not running out of space Imma group this together: ☀️MONKEY MEN🌑: They tried to make you a birthday cake...thing is neither of them know how to bake. They had to set their bitterness aside (or- well, they tried to) and the result was Wukong trying to distract you while Macaque scrambled around trying to find you something, even sending out his clones so he could sweep multiple stores at once (while pocketing a few shiny things for himself b/c mfer is a magpie). 🚦TRAFFIC LIGHT TRIO🚦: Mei got you a gift weeks in advance, she stays on top of birthdays. Same for Red Son! MK however didn't remember until the night before because ADHD is a bitch, but he likely ended up drawing a bunch of pictures of you, him, Red Son, and Mei. Mei also has a cake ready b/c she's The Best Ever. The trio's general vibe is just "BFFs 5ever because it's longer than 4" and everyone they care about is given the same treatment. 📖FREE NOODLES🍜: Pigsy is gonna be cookin' up a whole-ass STORM!! All of your favorite foods will be made, and breakfast is definitely served in bed. Dinner's gonna be a whole feast with the cake made extra special. Tang's the type of guy that follows "It's your birthday, so whatever you say goes!" He'll be fully open to trying out something new, and his gift is going to relate to a really niche subject that he knows you absolutely adore. It's likely he's done research to make sure he got the gift just right! 🕷️SPIDER DEMONS🕸️: These four are so wild it's funny. Spider Queen probably used her silk to make you a really fancy outfit, Syntax (who had your birthday set up as a reminder on his phone) probably is gonna give you some kind of drone that can help you out with mundane stuff (you get to name it). Goliath tried to make something, but whatever it is it's gonna be messy...he did his best. Huntsman? Deadass he probably went to go hunt your favorite animal so he could stuff it. If your favorite animal isn't in the area or it's a fictional one catch this extra-ass motherfucker carving a big-ass statue of it.

They had these gifts prepared. They knew your birthday was coming. They still all forgot until the actual day/the night before, for various reasons. Hey, at least the gifts are well-made. ☠️BONE DUO👻: Both the Lady Bone Demon and the Mayor are going to appear on your doorstep at midnight. They have a full day planned with ways to celebrate your birthday and 'no' is not an option. You will be spoiled!! The Mayor's got enough money to take you out in style, probably in his limo to fancy restaurants, most likely one of those rotating ones. The gifts will be exactly what you need, even if you didn't know you needed it yet. Even if it seems odd at first, best to just go along with it. 🪷CELESTIAL SQUAD🌙: Chang'e has a gigantic cake prepared, most likely one layer for each year of your life. She's been working on this for forever!! Nezha helped her prepare a big party on the moon for you. Both of them are likely to gift you presents of Celestial origins (blessed jewelry that protects you from demonic possession, or a very rare book). They might have lost count of their own ages, but they understand how important birthdays are to some people. 🦁THE🐘BROTHERHOOD🦅: They're completely unfamiliar with how mortals celebrate birthdays, but they're going to do their best. Cake? OK sure they can make one (it looks god awful). Presents? Surely any mortal would appreciate dangerous weapons and armor (it's horribly wrapped)! With the whole "listen to the birthday person" thing they might take it too literally. Like if you say "Let's hit the road" they are going to demolish that goddamn road b/c you said to and are the birthday person. Your wishes must be followed. They're trying they really are.

Lego Monkie Kid Rewatch: Season 3

Episode 8, Benched

Through my rewatch, I've been trying to pay attention to the smaller details and people in the show, so I can really appreciate the world.

Thank you animators, for taking the time to draw this disgruntled birb getting poofed by snow. There's no big reason here for the bird besides illustrating that its snowy now, which background scenery is already showing us. But nope! The show went the extra centimeter to include this lil birb, giving this world a little bit more depth and vitality.

"I didn't like how any of them turned out, though."

It's the circles isn't it. Circles are hard.

I love this city's design here so much!

The lanterns, snow, warm glowing signs. Look at that crane! Or the lotus! And those lantern kites! I love their mix of modern with traditional architecture! Please tell me they made a lego set of this city! And look at the people! I want every single one of these lego figures in that picture. Cute coats, cute hairs, cute winter accessories! And the toy monkey! I love it!

… ah…

Don't get me wrong. If I saw this before the show I would have thought it was a cool shopping district. But when compared to the ambiance the show gives and the background characters designs… It's just… sigh.

Monkey King casually throwing someone else' property and or merchandise like he oh so carefully threw the ring probably. Looked like a steam bun basket… ah! I bet there were some delicious baozi in there!!!

Love the accessories! So fitting that MK got a cute Monkey King stuffy. And Mei's lantern bag is the best 10/10 I would buy please give me.

I'm trying to figure out what accessories Monkey King got. I see the pin, but what are the patches on his hoodie?

Did…. Did Wukong buy a sticker pad and instead of pealing the stickers out, he pealed the whole backside and thwacked it to his clothes randomly?

I'm crying again. Just look. LOOK!

Look at the way this image makes you feel. Grand. Warm. Dazzled. Festive. Cozy. Green, gold, and red all incorporated perfectly together to make a stunning block pallet! This is what we could have had! I want a set that makes me feel this!

At first I was kind of miffed that Macaque didn't just get the ring while the others were distracted. Like, come on Macaque. You're smarter than that. Wasn't he supposed to stop pulling his punches after LBD latest threats of complete deletion of his self?

But then I had a thought. Why does his shadow magic originate from under Tang? Does… does he need a living beings shadow to hop around? Was he unable to get up there unless someone else was there? That would be super cool mechanic of his powers!

"It's the guy sitting in the wings while his friend are busy having fun without him."

Ah, maybe this is where MK gets his 'bluntly saying the very thing that makes people feel bad right to their face' trait.

I love that Tang doesn't even respond to Macaque's goading. Yeah, you can see the shadow's words hurt him. But Tang sees the bigger picture, and that's getting the ring before LBD's henchman gets it!

Knowing what I do now about the Journey to the West and the encounter Macaque and Tang Sanzang had with one another… makes this fight between them way more intense and impactful.

Familiar faces bringing up some bad memories there, eh Macaque?

Once again, Macaque is blinded by his flawed perspective. His whole speech is about Wukong. No mention of MK, the main hero. Or Pigsy, the sensible one. Or Sandy, the caretaker. Or Mei, the passion. Macaque is acting like Wukong is the only opinion that matters in the team. As if the other's don't even exist. But a team is not a single player, it is defined and strengthened by all of its parts.

And this is Macaques greatest flaw. He does not look past Wukong's shadow or his own past.

"I know that my place is along side my friends. One day, I will become someone they can depend on, the way that I can always depend on them!"

Tang reminding us that we don't need power or wealth to matter, our true friends and family care for us because its 'us.' They are people we trust and look up to and who inspire us to become the best versions of ourselves.

I have a love/hate relationship with this season.

I hate everything about how it's made me cry along with the characters. The fact that once again MK needs yet more therapy sessions with Sandy's cats, I hate how Mac was the one saving everyone and didn't realize he was the hero, I hate how we had to watch as MK was told he was created simply to die.

But I love how every single moment there was a friend waiting to hug him. How every single moment he's back in the arms of someone he's beginning to call family. How he admits he's got a lot of dads not just Pigsys. We find out that Tang has a picture of baby MK in his wallet, and find out Pigsys named him.

It was a roller coaster of a season and I didn't feel like we found out who won. We just got more questions than answers.

So, I've been getting a bit bored with my life lately and decided I needed to do something to get busy. My art skills are killing me and I'm trying to practice but I gave up for a while. Then I'm scrolling through Tumblr and admiring everyone's amazing OC's and I wish I could draw like them and some of them are underrated more than should be so...Why not just celebrate them ?! I can't for my own life draw anything good but what I can do is find good aesthetic choices and I love making moodboards and such for characters. So that's what I'm doing for OC's of people who need more attention ! Today we are starting with the beautiful and talented @camhues. If you don't know them, she is a artist of Tumblr mostly known for her LMK OC's and does a lot of doodles with them. And she makes only women and OH MY GOD, THESE ARE THE MOST GORGEOUS WOMEN IN MY LIFE AHH- Enough, I need to get on. She has a lot and I did one for all of them ! (Sheesh-) Or at least the ones I know. So Here's the Moodboards for them and a quick summary of what I think of them.

First off, Mama Jun. Her main OC from what I know and sort of a mother figure to MK and a reincarnation like Pigsy and Tang. Um, she's so gorgeous. I want that braid and the simplistic design works in her favor because there is something so simple and charming about her when I look at her. Also, her Mama-Son bond with MK is adorable-

Then there is Daiyu who from what I know is a Plant-Controller Demoness...or something ? Oh, and she's shipped with Red Son and their name is RedJade. Not as simplistic as Jun but it works in her favor here because she could step on me and I wouldn't be offended. Just let me smell the roses you grow, Daiyu !

Next here is Ling who is a Jade Maiden and is probably one of my current favorites. One of the simpler designs which I love and the lore behind her is also something I wanna find out. Her aesthetic was something I struggled with but it worked out. And as for who she is dating, it is unclear as Cam said she could be with one of three characters. Azure, Wukong or Macaque- I think she and Azure would be really cute-

Here we have Miss Suyin, secretary to the Spider Queen and Resident Mommy according to those who repost her- That's why I added that 'Mommy, sorry-' picture, I couldn't skip the joke. This woman is one of the many reasons I like women with glasses and she's a spider and her 4 eyes look cool-

Another one of my favorites, Baozhu. A Monkey Painter who is someone who I really wanna exist in real life so I can touch her fur and hair because it looks so fluffy ! I mean, look at this girlie ! She's FLOOFY ! I wanna touch the floof ! <333

And now we have domineering Lady in Ao Jiang who from that name I believe is somehow related to Ao Lie ? And is part of Mei's family ? I don't know that much yet but yeah, I love this one. Also, the little jewels hanging from her horns ? *Chef's kiss*

Space Lady Polaris who is giving me stars in my eyes for how cute she looks alone. She looks like someone who would be waiting in my dreams so I could just talk to her. I don't wanna burden her with my troubles though-

Brave Knight of the Falling Stars Asterius who I think might be related to Polaris in some way. They are both Space related in a way. I wonder if there is a connection ? But I love how she looks. She seems like a tomboy and I love tomboy characters :)

Lychee, Oh Lychee, how I tried to do justice for you ! But your aesthetic was something I couldn't nail down much. But at least I added real Lychee's for your sake and put some baking and wrestling into it. Please don't hit me...Or you can. You're gorgeous as you are friking intimidating. For a wrestler and a baker anyway.

Meihua who is honestly one of the most wholesome characters I have seen in a while. She gives me hopeless romantic vibes which I tried to add in here. The flowers for his florist work as well and mainly pink for this one because it matches her hair. Younger me would've loved her while current me thinks she's a lovable character who needs protection.

This woman, however, doesn't need protection as she can use her heels to murder her way through the crowd. Xin Yan, everyone. An evil woman who is gorgeous and she knows it. I heard she was a dancer and singer and the owner of a nightclub so that inspired this a lot. Xin Yan looks like she could kill me with a stare...and I would thank her for it.

Zhenzhu who I don't know much about but damn I really wanna give her a hug because she looks so sad in this picture. She's a handmaiden from what I know for the Empress of Heaven. HOW IS SHE A HANDMAIDEN WITH THE LOOKS OF A GODDESS ??

Chenguang is the ancestor of Jun who once went on the Journey to the West disguised as a man. Her aesthetic was hard to nail down but I eventually went for one that has themes of independence, journeys and outdoor backgrounds.

Ehuang who I thought was another version of Wyldfyre from Ninjago: Dragons Rising. If I didn't know she couldn't control fire, I would've thought fire would be her entire thing. That's why I added boiling water. Along with potions and lots of red.

And last of the OC'S, Chyou ! Who I really don't know much about except for the fact she is an Egret Celestial. So she's graceful as the bird itself and as beautiful as it as well. She is really lovely and the flowers in her hair are a nice touch <3 And that's all the OC's belonging to @camhues ! Or at least the ones I know. If I missed anything, I apologize and I'll make one for them on another day. But for now, have this. These were so much fun to make ! :)

FreeNoodles interactions season 1:

Episode 0:

In their first interaction of the show, and indeed Pigsys very first appearance, Pigsy gets enraged at the idea of anyone getting free food at his establishment, after all "I'm not running a charity here, Tang!" Tang pushes Pigsy back (on his nose) with a smile, claiming that he pays with wisdom. Pigsy is not impressed and yells in Tang's face again, calling him a freeloader

Pigsy turns around to see Tang eating a bowl of noodles and raises a spoon threateningly. It cuts to the outside of the shop shaking as Pigsy presumably chases Tang, calling him a coward and demanding payment

Tang begs Pigsy to watch where he's driving, so he doesn't kill them all

Tang wishes to turn back because of the danger and Pigsy pushes his head away and tells him to "Shut it you big baby"

Tang pointedly leans into Pigsy's space while complimenting Sandy's hospitality and commenting that "certain noodle shop owners could learn a lot from your hospitality, Sandy"

When they think MK is dead, Pigsy is in denial, and Tang says softly, "There's nothing we could do." Pigsy gets mad and marches over to Tang, grabbing him by the scarf and insisting that he (Pigsy) should have been able to do something to protect MK. Tang doesn't react, simply looking miserable, before saying that they should protect people so MK's sacrifice wasn't in vain. The fight seems to have left Pigsy

Episode 1

Pigsy shows up all mad that he's been working while everyone has just been lying around, and while tang at first looks intimidated, he calls him "Piggy" and that he should relax, time off never hurt anyone

Pigsy steps on Tang's shoulder to yell at Mei and MK, and Tang looks unimpressed up until the moment Pigsy shoves Tangs's head into his bowl of noodles while yelling at the kids.

Episode 4

Pigsy and Tang are at the market together. Tang is unimpressed by carrot quality, Pigsy brags about being a quality chef.

Tang suggests they keep going, and skip this vender (who turns out to be Spider Queen) but when he turns to look at where Pigsy had been, he is gone. He is alarmed when he sees Pigsy talking to her, and looks annoyed by Pigsy's words. He is confused by her "excellent wares" being nothing edible looking, and asks if Pigsy is blind

Tang grabs Pigsy's arm as he goes to follow Spider Queen, and starts to tell him he has a bad feeling. Pigsy shakes him off and begs him to let him have this. Tang nervously follows as Pigsy enters the tent

Pigsy and Tang are wrapped up in the same web, neither looking happy about this situation. Tang makes a comment about Pigsy entering the shop, and Pigsy weakly tries to defend himself, she claimed she had ingredients! And Tang responds with a shake of his head, "I don't think that's what you were looking for, Pigsy"

Tang and Pigsy share a frightened look after Spider Queen informs them that they will be her dinner

Tang struggles, trying and failing to get free. He reassures Pigsy that he's sure MK will be there soon to rescue them. When he tells Spider Queen that he's "kinda like a father figure" to MK, Pigsy sighs and kinda rolls his eyes.

Tang tells Pigsy not to worry, that MK is too smart to fall for one of Spider Queen's traps

Pigsy apologizes to Tang for getting them into this situation, and that they'll "need to work together to get out of it." Tang agrees, determined. They both start struggling to get free, wiggling enough to drop to the ground where they manage to cut theirselves free on Mei's sword

All of the Pigsy and MK family stuff this season is incredible. Minor (Major maybe?) spoilers below:

The very first episode of the season presents the viewer with its core theme from the very get go - How we learn to accept and deal with our traumatic experiences together - and it chooses to express that message through MK’s dynamic with Pigsy. All throughout Monkie Kid, there have been hints - implications even - of Pigsy and MK’s dynamic being much more than boss and employee - and in these last few seasons we’ve seen a dramatic shift towards father and son and I couldn’t be happier. From MK offhandedly saying that Pigsy was his dad last season (and Pigsy’s subsequent half denial) to today-era Pigsy openly telling MK that he loves him, calling him his son, and reminiscing on MK’s childhood.

I love that scene with Pigsy and Tang where Pigsy is struggling with the fact that he isn’t like Wukong - he’s not a borderline god (debatable) - and Tang’s response to it is “okay yeah sure but what you are is so much more than that - You Are His Dad. and you are the reason he is the kind of good person he’s become.” It’s not only fodder for the headcanons Ive has since season one but also just really great characterization for the three involved. Tang has been kind of reduced to just the coward comic relief as of, well, past the pilot really, so it’s nice to see some genuine characterization on his part.

Pigsy is by far my favorite character. He has been his the show first dropped. I’m glad for any Pigsy (Dadsy) content, no matter how small, and the crazy (and yet subtle) lore dumps of how truly important Pigsy has been to MK’s development is sooooo cool.

I love the small talk about noodles and about how Pigsy would make them to help MK sleep, I love the knowledge that Tang was there from the day MK arrived at the store, I love the baby MK picture in Tang’s(?) wallet, I love that he has a room upstairs that Pigsy used to carry him up to, and I love the hugs. Gosh the hugs.

Honestly that’s one thing LEGO shows have gotten really good at as of late - showing emotional vulnerability - allowing their characters to be loved and show love - to hug each other and hold hands and tell each other that they love each other - we used to dream of days like this. I’m so glad it’s here.

You are (M/N) a male celestial monkey who cares very much for his personal space. Jungle is a place where you grow up. But that's when it started to be invaded by Villagers poachers and more. You hated how people just barge in and trash the place. So one day you'll made a little spell and created something useful but vicious and just as territorial as you. When you've finished you'll notice That in the place of the circle you made was a baby train. It had a huge smile sharp teeth and was red all over. You were confused But beggars can't be chooses so you name the strange creature CHARLES.

(Lmk Wukong) Wukong had been hearing from MK about that city people have been attacked Giant vicious red spider. It all started when some teenagers were playing too close to the jungle rural area And therefore they were attacked by Is spider train called charles Apparently. No Oh she's heard many stories but this takes the cake. She asked If that's what Is saw for sure and MK, Mike and even Tang Can confirm it because the second you're out of the jungle area. Charles were just hiss and return. Monkey Queen was too weirded out by these stories. So she wants to go find charles herself. But what she didn't expect was to not only get Ambushed by charles but a shout we figure hanging on the back of him.

Monkey (M/N) Listen, gorgeous, we're gonna need you to turn right back around and stay out of our territory alright. If you don't Charles, why don't you show Her? What happens to the others who entered our home

But nothing happened. Charles may no move towards the monkey queen, in fact, he Seemed to be having a side conversation with you

Monkey (M/N) Charles, I know she's another monkey. But that doesn't mean and I can get with her

Charles whistles

Monkey (M/N) We spoke about this. Listen, you majesty, stay out of our territory. Or your right or charles will eat you okay okay bye

And with that you and charles leave the monkey queen Confused and interested?!?!

(HIB Wukong) Oh boy it happened again it's been happening for a while. Wukong Watch as another villager was buried in the ground. This was the fifth funeral this month. People have been getting mald left and right the second they stepped into the jungle. If some bodies were half eaten or just chewed up and spat out. This had to stop so Wukong Went into the jungle herself to find the creature that was Doing this. Wukong Has been out here for a while but she found no signs of the spider creature described to her. Until she heard a hiss and what seemed to be a whistle He turned and saw that what it was The spider apparently there are some words on the side of him and She saw the name charles. She did not think too much else before Retreated away from charles since he was faster than her. But he stopped right in front of her Wukong Was confused until a dark figured Jumped on the back of charles.

Monkey (M/N): Charles why don't you eat her yet?!

Wukong Looked up to To see a jacked muscled male monkey glaring down at the spider. The Male monkey finally looked at the queen before blushing slightly But captain angry face.

Male (Y/N) Your majesty we appreciate it if you left my territory I never come back

Wukong Was not sure how to feel about any of this as she watches you and charles leave

(NR Wukong) So you're telling her that the people of the city who steps into the jungle get attacked by a giant metal red train. Missus bazaar even for her and that's saying something. Li Of course Tells her about charles As the train is named on the side of Engine. First she cackled at the ridiculousness of the story until she realized how serious it was when lee showed her pictures of the dead bodies . Wukong Decided to take it upon herself Find the spider train and kill it before someone else loses their life. It are that night she goes to the jungle to try and lore it out. But what she wasn't expecting What's to get attacked by a shadowy figure

(NR Wukong) Hey, let go with me. Don't you know how dangerous it is? There's some kind of creature killing people out here

The shout we figured glared down at her before blowing a whistle She had to cover her ears. And that's when She heard a distant train Whistle and there he was the creature Call charles She's like car that thing is real after all.

Monkey (M/N) Right charles I got her now eat her

But the train creature made no move towards the toe and facts Seem to be softly whistling towards the male figure.

Monkey (M/N) What what do you mean she would be a good mate for me?!?!

Wukong's Jaw touched the jungle floor. She did think you were hot but she didn't know she would get the approval of the creature you're with right away. That is something she would never in a million years think she would experience.

Monkey (M/N): Ah you can't just go and say stuff like that. Listen your majesty, I need you to leave and never come back. Ok, this jungle is our home and we take care of it if we fly in any of the likes of you. Roll mingle round our territory you will die.

And with that you and charles leave her behind

(Mk Reborn Wukong) She refused to believe what she is Hearing. Is her and her master her the village has said that His her husband was malled by a giant red spider. The The village community call him charles. The reason for the attack was her husband went into the jungle parts To collect a fruit from there, but the creature charles jumped out of nowhere and attacked and killed him. She refused to believe it so she asked her Mistress to find a creature named charles and take it out herself if he's even real that is. mistress Tang was against it. But it had to be the only solution. So nobody else loses their life. So she sends her off to the jungle to find the creature called charles. She didn't find anything yet. And it was getting late until she finally heard a distant whistling sound In the distance she could see you glowing eyes coming out of the Vines there it was despite a creature. She was ready For a fight until it stopped right in front of her.

Monkey (M/N) Charles what are you doing attack her!!!

There on top of the spider named charles was a male monkey glaring down at the queen. He was telling the creature to fight but in refused Male monkey finally climb down from the top of the spider before walking towards Wukong But as he got's closer he noticed that she was also a monkey A very pretty one. (M/N) Blush the bit before glaring at her

Monkey (M/N): Is first and final warning stay out of our home

With that you left with charles to somewhere else in the jungle leaving a confused and blushing monkey queen behind.

(Netflix Wukong) She did not know how to respond to this at all. Right now right in front of her is the legendary spider creature named charles. He just stood there growling at her but he wouldn't make a move to attack. As the monkey queen she won't show that she is nervous as heck right now But she's wondering why it's not making a move until a figure jumped down and landed on top of charles.

Monkey (M/N): What are you doing in our territory? Charles why didn't You eat her yet???

Wukong Was confused As she was scared because she's wondering the same thing Until charles Let out of soft hiss as if Is the share information with the male monkey. The monkey looked at the queen and blushed

Monkey (M/N): First charles were Going to have a long talk when we get home and you. My queen final warning stay out of our home

And what's that the monkey queen watches your both leave her alone

How I like to think MK got his nickname in Marbled Egg

Ma, leading 'Mr. Qi' and Xiaotian into her office at school: Wait here while I get Xiaotian's new tutor, Shihou.

Wukong, nervous because he'smeeting his son'steacher the first time, vetted and reccomended by Ma who knows him from thw nearby university: And you're absolutely certain he won't hurt Xiaotian!? He checks all the boxes!?

Ma: Absolutely! Trust me. One you see him, you'll know why I picked him.

Wukong: You said he was human, can he even handle a monkey demon!?

Ma: Wukong. Jsut trust me.

Ma leaves and comes back with an equally concerned Tang. Wukong is still nervous but immediately perks up as he realized what Ma was doing. That older siblings of his got his Master's reincarnation! Tang and Wukong are equally nervous as Ma mediate and leads the meeting, helping to determine schedules, venues, and curriculum for Tang and Wukong. During the meeting Xiaotian, who was knt he corner, runs up to Wukong with a picture he drew.

Xiaotian: Daddy! Daddy! Look what I drew!?

Wukong: What is it, buddy?

*shows a 6 year oldest rendition of Sun Wukong holding hands with a little monkey kid*

Xiaotian: It's Monkey King and me!

Tang, sees the picture: That it is! I guess that makes you Monkie Kid then???

MK: *eyes begin to light up with excitement*

I love Marshal Ma setting up Tang as Xiaotian's tutor - the Stalwarts are devious and adoring. They know Wukong wouldn't trust just anyone with his precious Little Heaven, so who better than Wukong's reincarnated former Master? Tang is just delighted to have a low-stress teaching job, and is low-key nerding about the adorable little monkey demon who seems to love the Monkey King as much as he does!

I love the idea of MK getting his nickname from Tang. Immediately warmed him up to his tutor.

So imagine the shock Wukong has when Tang convinces him to come along to his favorite lunch spot, only to see the reincarnation of another one of his brothers! And even more so - Ao Lie's decendant! And he thought he was lucky to meet Sandy!

Monkie Kid S5 first two episodes thoughts

It's 1 AM but I wanna get my thoughts down quick before I forget (but likely this will just turn into a list of my favorite moments and with a whole lot of squealing because omg the FLUFF in these episodes alone!)

Nooooo MK isn't sleeping, Lego stop punishing your boys with sleep-depriving trauma! T_T

Wukong is really trying harder to be a better mentor to MK ;_;

OMG THAT ENTIRE WUKONG AND MACAQUE CONVERSATION ASDSGHHSASDFD WHAT DO THEY KNOW ABOUT MK???

And just... how far we've come, with Macaque genuinely caring about MK this much.

But also stop deflecting Macaque!

AwwwWWWW everyone building Wukong a house was so sweet!

And of course we gotta cover the walls with adorable pictures~ My favorite was the Mei and Wukong one, omg if I don't see anyone redraw that I definitely will!

Holy FUDGE the DADSY content! It just wouldn't stop!! He sat with MK, gave him some fatherly advice/life lesson, and knew exactly what would put the kid to sleep, and then carried him to bed... and then we get-

I will never get tired of Wukong treating Nezha like a little brother/cousin that he constantly makes fun of XD

AND OMG HE CALLED HIM NEZHY THAT'S SO CUTE!!

So of course I knew about the circlet angst but WOW I did not expect Macaque to have that big a reaction to it, he sincerely doesn't want Wukong to get hurt, UGH THESE MONKEYS ARE KILLING ME!

Yoooo that little look exchanged between Wukong and Macaque after he sends out the hairs, these guys are totally back in sync again like nothing happened and I LOVE it!

Bahaha Wukong doing the Tang story-telling was great!

MK kicking his legs during the story, why is this boy so adorable dangit-

Nezha's utter confusion at MK's antics was probably the funniest bit of the episode for me ahahaha

Also the three clones just going "I'm a clone" in unison XD

Again, the teasing-the-younger-cousin behavior with them double faking Nezha was so on point, and his angry "WU KOOONG!!" was just the icing on the cake.

"Why is it always like this when you come here?!" Seriously, nothing to add besides that I just LOVE seeing the monkeys together, like their teamplay in taking out the head guard - I saw that smile Macaque!

Macaque or Nezha angrily shouting Wu Kong's name will never get old

"Only thing I know for sure is that I don't trust anyone who isn't standing here right now." MACAQUE'S LOOK AT THAT PART! YES HE'S INCLUDING YOU BUD!

Pigsy’s Fluff and Angst headcanons(with GN Reader who’s around Mei and MK’s ages/platonically)

We all know he is the best cook, but I imagine whenever his kids(including you) is tired or haven’t eaten. HE ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS find a way to make you sleep or eat. No one even knows how..he just does-

I headcanon him being fatherless, but grew up with an amazing grandma and mother so he wants MK and everyone else(who have bad parents) to have a father figure in their lives..something he didn’t had growing up.

After S5, Pigsy starts questioning himself if he’s doing a good job raising MK and if he’s a good father to him. He blames himself for his sacrifice and was goddamn scared of losing his son

HE AND TANG ARE BASICALLY MARRIED!! I’M TELLING YA! They just had a secret gay wedding and keep their gay marriage a secret..I mean yes, you, MK, and Mei knows(also Sandy cause like they see the gayness in them), but that beside the point-

PAPA SENSE!!! DADSY SENSE!! Doesn’t matter where you or any of his kids are! HE IS GONNA BE THERE AS SOON AS HIS FATHER SENSE GOES OFF!!! You best believe he gonna run all the way to you. He might be tired and sweating as hell, but it’s the love that counts

Beside his rake, he use a roller or a fry pan as his next best weapon. I imagine one time, during their adventures, Pigsy couldn’t find his rake so he just use his fry pan. He’s basically Rapunzel, but in a male, Lego, pig demon form(Tang would say that)

He taught all of his kids(MK, you, and Mei) how to cook and how to make a perfect dish(like from S5 Ep1) and would sometimes supervise any of his kids as they cook by themselves

Despite him being all hot temper and have anger issues, he always make sure that you’re doing ok. If you’re sick or have an emergency, that’s something he can deal with and would always check on you and make you an amazing noddles to help you

This PIG DAD will immediately close his noodles store to help any of his kids if they’re in grave danger. He doesn’t like closing his store early, but I swear if any of his kids gets hurt, he will not hesitate by a second.

If you have a panic/anxiety attack, he will immediately go by your side and comfort you the best he could. He will not leave you until you’re 100% better.

Albums…picture albums scrapbook! He have TONS of them! All in order! If you ask for baby pictures or any pictures, he got ya..Tang can’t even stop him from getting all excited of showing off his kids
