JEFF THE KILLER

cannot draw for shit, when he passes his drawing of you to you it looks like a total mess- there was some effort though so you do your best to not laugh

though he seems to be a mostly good sport about it as long as youre not actually maliciously bashing his art

a little jealous that youre an artist and thus your piece turned out better than his but it soon shifts into him thinking over things hes good at to make himself feel better

in a "well you cant do (x) but i can so haha" kind of way

will get legitimately offended if you jokingly add something like stink lines on your drawing of him

NINA THE KILLER

draws a lot and adds a lot to her drawings: vibrant colors, stickers, glitter, patterned tapes- anything she can get her hands on really! obligatory her art resembles the old scene and emo art styles from back in the day

she doesnt care if your art of her isnt the best, shes going to love it either way and will keep it on her at all times

hypes you up and compliments the parts of your art she likes- whether it be coloring, anatomy, or general vibe shes going to find something to say in order to uplift you

generally enjoys spending any time with you so shes instantly going to take you up on the offer of drawing each other whenever you bring up the idea- or just drawing anything together

LAUGHING JACK

cannot draw but does not care one bit, just as long as hes having fun

may or may not purposefully make his drawing of you look as diabolical as possible, you can tell hes up to something thanks to his hushed giggling- of course he doesnt draw anything offensive or hurtful

if youre aware youre not the best artist and often poke fun at it, you both end up just making fun of each others pieces

which sometimes turns into the both of you scribbling on your own pieces to add some exaggerated detail in order to push the joke further

EYELESS JACK

he sometimes draws in order to pass the time when he has nothing to do, sometimes you give him new art supplies when hes running low and you can afford it

or sometimes you just share, since you have your own

drawing him was... easy... given hes more than likely wearing his mask the whole time so you put in effort to add some details

jack on the other hand takes his time to get it down right

leads into you asking him how he can see given his obvious lack of eyes, which makes the atmosphere feel a little off but thats... another idea for another day..

gives genuine and sincere compliments when looking at your work, takes his time like he did when he drew you, in order to take it in

BEN DROWNED

i like to think he used to draw before he drowned and died, usually drawing stuff that matched his interests. the same thing over and over

though i can see him getting a little rusty due to not having the chance or means to draw... you can see him getting visibly upset while hes trying to finish his piece of you

youre not an artist yourself, so your drawing of him isnt the best either and it does make him feel a little better

okayokayokay im going to try my very best to answer this one without going into writing something wayyy too long as per usual (i dont think i succeeded) or just writing full blown keremy smut (wish me luck)

SO

kevin is not used to being congratulated or praised for how he plays; the master always has something to critique him on, the ravens aren't exactly fond of compliments, and something about the "son of exy" "one of the best" "unbeatable" comments from the press or the media never feels,, legitimate to him. maybe the first few when he was a kid and doing well on his high school teams or when he started becoming a big name in exy, they were really meaningful to him, but it kind of lost it's novelty after a while. there's only so many "how does it feel to be the best?" comments he can hear before they start to feel almost like an obligation from them to him. these interviewers, these journalists, these commentators; they don't know him. so, the older he gets, the more he feels like his talent isn't really appreciated. he rarely hears a "good game!" from anyone that matters to him. he rarely hears a "you played well!" from someone who can look him in the eyes and truly, truly mean it.

then; maybe it's in his first year with the ravens, and its the first time kevin has played against usc (or, maybe he's younger, and it's the first time he's played on a national level with his high school team, playing against jeremy's high school team, and their friendship starts when he's 16/17 instead of older) and kevin hears it all - kevin day, son of kayleigh day, amazing, talented, brilliant. he smiles and thanks whoever he has to politely, and goes on about his day. meaningless and unimportant formalities that are just that. but he meets jeremy knox, who he's heard rumours about, who the whispers have claimed is one of his biggest competitors in the league, and kevin is,,, taken aback. from the moment he lays eyes on him, he's smiling, shaking hands with people much older than himself without a twitch or a deep breath to calm him down. kevin watches as he turns his back, and how his smile stays wide on his face, more than just a media-trained look into cameras and into the faces of the people more important than himself.

jeremy looks around the court as the two teams are having their warm-up time, until he locks eyes with kevin and his already wide smile gets wider. he practically bounces across the court, and shakes hands with riko first, as riko whispers to kevin in japanese to not let this dumb surfer waste any more of their time. then, he turns to kevin, and takes his hand sincerely into his. he looks him dead in the eyes, shakes his head like he can't believe this is happening, and tells him, "it is an honour to meet you. there's very few people out there that play like you can."

riko is jealous, of course he is, and kevin feels weirdly almost embarrassed by the compliment. he thanks him genuinely and tells him that there's no need to be so kind, but jeremy, with his hand still in his, he says something else like "there's only kind things to say about someone like you," or that it wasn't kind; it was the truth. he tells kevin he's excited to play against him, with an obligatory compliment sent to riko, too, but kevin could tell that it was his one that was genuine.

the game goes on, kevins team wins, they're crossing the court after the game and jeremy takes a second longer with his hand in his again, "that's how exy is meant to be played," his smile is toothy and real, "i've never met anyone as good as you,"

oh, kevin walks off that court trying to hide the blush that covered his cheeks. when they found a way to reach each other afterwards, and they stay in touch, meeting up every once and a while when games and banquets and events allow for it, kevin is almost infatuated with jeremy's kindness. everything that leaves his mouth, every compliment that he says feels so heartfelt and thought-through and real that he feels like he's never heard these praises that he's heard a million times before. and it's not like jeremy is kissing up, either, the compliments are casual and appropriate for the conversations that they have.

but kevin is a teenager with a bare basic understanding of his sexuality and his body in general, and he's really not sure why when jeremy compliments him like this, he feels like that. he's not sure why he feels this twist in his stomach when jeremy texts him after a televised game that he played well, that he did a good job, that he's so good at what he does and so brilliant to watch. to make a long story short, kevin realises he's turned on by being praised because of jeremy, because of how he talks about how kevin plays, how he compliments him in a way he's never been spoken to before. (of course he feels guilt and shame the first time he,, imagines jeremy telling him he did such a good job. but he also feels how it feels to picture him saying that to him. and the times that he thinks of jeremy are the times he remembers, the times he thinks of over, and over, and over, and over and-)

(the other option is another thing im working on right now - when kevin is trying to figure out his sexuality, and finds himself in an experimenting kind of phase, jeremy is the only person he trusts to help him figure it out. jean is there, of course, but he's too,, close to the nest. he's too close to riko. jeremy doesn't even intentionally praise him, but he feels how kevin stills and how the hairs on his arms and the back of his neck stand up when he says that he feels good. jeremy is the one who brings it up sometime afterwards, asking if he wants to be praised, and he has to be the one to explain to kevin what it means - an explanation that becomes a demonstration that becomes a Praise Kink that kevin didn't even know he had)

If twisteds could talk, their voices could be distorted/gurgled as the ichor could literally be also choking them. If not then I guess they just make animalistic noises lol. Or.. they could be repeating they know right before they got.. twisted.

besides Vee, her voice could be glitchy as fuck or making random glitchy noises, she’s a robot anyways.

Astro, possibly would tell a toon he just fucking tore apart “sweet dreams” once they died, hoping that their in peace now, but carrying more guilt.

Dandy is the only one who has full control of himself, but his voice could still be either the same, or slightly distorted as well..

So for poppy it’s mostly gurgling / zombie esque noises. Occasionally she mumbles something about how the ichor hurts, or how she has to complete the machines.

Boxten gets a bit more voice lines, occasionally he’ll quietly call out stuff like ‘ guys ‘ or ‘where did you go? ‘. There’s of course some gurgling- maybe even he sings a little- to the tune of a disoriented music box, in an attempt to calm himself.

Now Shrimpo makes more animalistic noises, more so growling and a bit of gurgling. Occasionally he utters something like ‘ I HATE the dark ‘ or ‘ I HATE the cold ‘ or maybe even ‘ I hate THESE STUPID TOONS MAKING SO MUCH NOISE ‘

I don’t imagine Tisha speaking much, maybe she hums softly or remarks on how dirty this place is.

Toodles straight up makes animal and gurgling noises. Maybe she will have a throwaway like for when it’s a blackout that she doesn’t like the dark.

Brightney is pretty similar to poppy in that she makes more so gurgly zombie esque noises. Occasionally she may reference the other toons and her need to find them because the dark can be dangerous. Maybe she’ll reference specific toons and remark toodles is afraid of the dark or that Rodger has been more jumpy lately so the dark won’t do him good.

I’d imagine razzle and dazzle humming as well when they’re idle, since they can’t really move. Both when disturbed I think they speak at the same time, saying contradictory things like ‘ DIE ‘ and ‘ RUN ‘

Tbh I can’t imagine Rodger talking. If he did he’s oddly snappy, like ‘ DONT TOUCH THAT. ‘ or like ‘ YOU CANT HANDLE IT ‘

Teagan is also a zombie noise person, maybe she remarks about the tapes and how she needs them. She needs them or dandy is going to kill them all. . .

Goob just sobs. Hes scared, he’ll call out to the toons and says he doesn’t want to be alone. He wants a hug- he call if anyone wants a hug in a weak voice. And most devastatingly, if there is a scraps in the party, he’ll call out to her.

Meanwhile scraps is more manic, laughing manically while chasing toons, maybe even taunting them. If she’s looking, perhaps she has a moment of clarity and calls for goob in a more concerned voice (she has additional voice lines about how she’s worried about him if there is a goob in the party)

With the new comfort of her darling Ada no longer feels the want of a new body in her bed every week, soly leaning on her s/o for the much needed comfort they provide now. ♡How likely are they to kidnap their darling? How quickly will they do so? She will only resort to kidnapping if her courting fails. Ada isn’t quick to take her darling, she prefers a darling who wants to be with her, but if all her tactics fail she has no choice but to act. ♡How difficult is it to escape from them? How do they keep you restrained? How do they deal with attempted escape? Ada is very apologetic after she's taken her darling, but that won’t make her any more lenient. Starting off her darling can expect to be heavily restrained in the beginning, she only offers freedoms once she sees her darling can behave. Whilst it's not easy to escape Ada by any means, it's far from impossible. She often leaves you alone, whether or not she trusts you enough unbound depends on how well behaved you've been. In the beginning there won’t be much punishment for attempted escapes and defiance, but the more you act out the more likely she is to punish you. She could never bring herself to hit you as punishment, but you can expect things like isolation and starvation.

♡How easy are they to trick, deceive, or manipulate? Trying to trick Ada is nearly pointless, chances are she sees through what you're trying to do. Depending on how innocent your manipulation is depends on whether she punishes you for it. It's best not to try, the cons outweigh the pros.

♡How lenient are they? What privileges can you have, and what will you be denied? She’s more lenient with a well behaved darling, the more willing you are to give her affections the more willing she is to give you freedoms. Her darling can expect things like less restraints when they can show Ada just how well behaved they can be. Ada is happy to provide books and more lavish items for her darling, as long as they don’t bring up the question of freedom to her. 

♡What kind of rules do they have? What kind of punishment would they use? Ada doesn’t have many rules, but she’s strict about the ones she does have. You obviously can’t attempt to leave her, or mention wanting to, she loves you but she just doesn’t want to hear it. If you use violence against her, as much as she doesn’t want to, she will retaliate if you force her hand. Her punishments affect her darling more mentally than they do physically, and she won’t lay a hand on her darling unless they start it. If her darling decides to act up they can expect their privileges to be revoked temporarily or taken away all together. For more severe infractions she’ll fall back on starving her darling, not to the extent it would affect her darling long term physically of course. She rarely uses isolation unless she believes she absolutely needs to, she doesn’t like being apart from her darling much, but if she believes it's necessary for them to learn she will.

♡How do they deal with rivals, or perceived rivals? Will they get rid of them? Will they kill them themselves, or find another way? Typically she’ll resort to intimidation to scare the offender off, but if they decided to be persistent she’d have no issue just killing them.

♡How easy is it to make them mad? What does their anger look like? Ada is very slow to anger, it takes a lot to push past her limits. Rarely ever is it her darling who sets her off, however when it is she never lets her darling see it.

♡Do they see you as above them, beneath them, or equal to them? She definitely doesn’t see you as an equal, you’re like a pet to her. You’re with her for her own comfort, whether you like it or not of course. She’ll hear what you’d like to say to an extent, but she’ll only pay so much heed to your words.

♡How determined are they for you to love them? How hard will they try to make it happen? Or are they content just having you? As much as she’d like for her feelings to be reciprocated, it's not something she's immediately worried about. She's confident she can make you love her over time. ♡General perverseness: how sexual of a person are they? What’s their drive like? How touchy do they get? Do they have any reservations about sexuality? She has a high sex drive and she's very forward with her darling about it. Almost time

Its almost December 13th and yall know what that means. Christmas is just around the corner. But you know who else you should be getting ready for? Lussi!

Lussi langnatt is a figure from Scandinavian (Primarily Sweden and Norway) folklore who visits on the 12th to 13th of December to make sure everyone is doing their job in getting ready for Christmas. If yore slacking she will DRAG YOU DOWN UNDERNEATH THE EARTH AS YOU DISAPPEAR INTO THE NIGHT. So to make sure everyone makes it through this time of the year unscathed, I have made list of tings to keep in mind.

NEVER go outside on the night from the 12th to 13th of December. Its the time its easiest for her to grab you. (and for most trolls and malevolent creatures for that matter).

Lussi's prefered way of getting inside your house is through the chimney so make sure you lock the fireplace door or close the chimney valve. She is also known to just rip the entire chimney of the side of your house so hopefully that doesent happen.

Carve crosses into your every door and window in your house.

This is not necessarily something thats an immediate danger, but she likes to put her face up to the windows. And if she sees you not working she will sing creepy songs about how lazy you are so maybe keep the curtains closed.

Some extra folklore stuff here because theres some really neat history behind this tradition. Obligatory reminder that im just someone who likes folklore and mythology, and i could be wrong about some of this.

Lussi langnatt isn't as well known nowadays and today we celebrate saint Lucia day. Saint Lucia is a chrisitan saint and her feast day has come to replace Lussi langnatt. As far as i know the reason for such a drastic change in tone for the holliday might be because the name Lucia is remenisent of Lucifer or the devil but i dont know much else than that.

There are also some stories of Lussi apearing with her group of trolls and other vette and its called Lussiferda. Its very reminisent of Odins wild hunt. The wild hunt is a personification of terrible storms and winds which took the form of a wild hunt in the sky lead by Odin. after Scandinavia was Christianized the person leading the hunt changed. This might be where Lussiferda came from.

Lussi langnatt means Lussi longnight because it was belived the night from the 12th of december to the 13th was the longest night of the year. The name Lussi is also associated with Lucifer. An older name for lussekatt is dyvelskatt (devils cat) after a myth where the devil takes the form of a cat and would beat bad children. While a christian figure would give pastries to good children.

During this night farm animals gain the ability to talk and will gossip about everything they'd heard over the course of the year.

ive struggled with art block for years and feel very discouraged because im already 19 and feel really behind so many people. im really stuck and dont really know what to do to get out of it and try and improve. as an amazing artist, do you have any tips on how to kind of start from scratch? like how do you learn ... stuff

I’m really sorry that you feel stuck, it’s not a pleasant feeling and I’ve experienced it myself many MANY times. First, let me preface, that your age is not that important. I’m turning 26 in a couple of months and I know there’s still SO MUCH I can improve on, I know artists who are younger than me and can do breathtaking art. I also know artists who didn’t even start drawing at my age, who started drawing a little later in life because they felt like doing art. So, who are you competing against? Why are you competing? Is self expression not goal enough? I’m not a professional artist, I don’t want to adhere to some industry standard, and most of all I don’t want to feel behind in an area that is so, SO personal to me.

Now, to the feeling stuck part. I’d love to say that in art, you’re always improving. Well, it’s not exactly the case. There are artists whose work doesn’t change for years and they feel content in what they do. Are they stuck? Not really — they feel fine. When you feel stuck in your art, it means that your brain has caught up to your physical ability and went beyond, it starts seeing flaws you haven’t noticed before. You’re very young still and have PLENTY of time to work up the pure handcraft of visual art. What I recommend is, start analysing what your hands are doing. Find an artwork in which you admire the skill of the artist and try to replicate the way their brushstrokes or lines work. Find a screenshot with really good colours and try to make little thumbnails with the colours and the shapes that you see. Don’t go for actually replicating screenshots, define a goal and don’t worry about the rest. If it’s the creative part you feel stuck on, my go to advice is always — stop and take a break. Go outside and look at your surroundings. Watch a movie, go down the rabbit hole of YouTube tutorials on how to restore a night stand (not obligatory), go to your local museum and just. Look. Let your brain wander in how beautiful mundane things are. How pretty are the faces of the people on your bus. Love what you see and with love comes art.

Now on to the learning part. This one is way less poetic because, well, the theory behind art is an academic field and I’m not an expert in it. There is a sea of decent art tutorials on YouTube, ranging from colour theory to multiple point perspective. If you have an artist who’s very skilled and happens to have a YT channel, watch them and really think about what they’re doing and why. I can’t stress this enough, if you want to actively learn something, you have to watch critically. If you have any spare money, you can invest in an art basics course too, god knows my brain expanded 40 times when I finally attended one, and I’ve been drawing for years before that. If you don’t have the finances for that — don’t worry. First, learning is a process and attending a class just sometimes accelerates it. Second, attending a class later in life does NOT mean you missed an opportunity. Rounding up, outside of any means of formal education you can still learn some useful things. Start with the basics, with the “boring” stuff (and I use parenthesis because drawing boxes is really fun actually), with “how to draw a straight line and what is line weight” and not “upper limb anatomy” or “advanced colour theory”. You’ll get there eventually, I promise. Just like I mentioned all the way in the beginning of this awfully long reply: it’s not a competition!

beach day episode mekakushi dan. which ones dont know how to swim??? (obligatory seto and momo joke) AND/OR who is afraid of the water?

HMMMM well of course seto and momo are afraid of it. i think they try to shrug it off and do a lot of Sand Activities ignoring that they're afraid. momo takes a bazillion selfies at the shore and screams when she gets splashed. i think guys like takane and kano would be a threat to them bc they have the Water Guns and now The Water Is On Ground and it freaks them out❤️

i think hibiya&hiyori are great swimmers idk why. i think theyre the kinda kids to spend every single summer at the beach, so they give WATER DOMINATING lessons to seto and momo, to get over their fear and also teach them to swim.

ayano kido and kano are fine in the water i think the tateyamas for sure had summer vacations at the beach ❤️ its not seto's first time in the beach, he probably used to stay on ground back then too.

oh u asked who would be afraid. ERMMM other than seto and momo i dont think anyone's scared. as for who doesn't know how to swim, mary. mary definitely never went to the beach or even a pool like Man i get so emotional with mary bc she never ever went anywhere in her life, and then when she moved in with the mekatrio she is also described as a shut in. but despite that she isn't unwilling to go out and was super excited about the amusement park, and there she was SUPER serious about visiting every single attraction... so personally i think that despite she's described as a shut in (kido and kano probably didnt go out a whole bunch either) i like to think the 4 of them went places together. not like the beach or even a restaurant but they probably have gone to a park and stuff idk

anyways that said, mary is suddenly seeing in real life things she's only seen in pictures/tv and read of!!! imagine her first time seeing the OCEAN!!!! thats gotta be so exciting!!! considering her attitude she'd be totally over the moon and would wanna learn how to swim IMMEDIATELY. tbh she'd be clumsy but probably has a pool float yknow the ones that are like a donut and ur inside chilling and playing from there. i think thats what she'd do!!! shes disappointed seto can't join in and that rly motivates him to try to get in the water. if he doesn't manage she definitely comes out the water to build sand castles with him and take a walk to pick up seashells :3

others who can't swim are a classic. shintaro and haruka. I'd also say takane but while i do think she was mostly kept away from sports and stuff i THINK takane Can swim, i don't think she skipped swimming lessons during elementary/middle school. so she's like. Ok at it. she's also rly excited about water guns and chasing YOU CHASING YOU CHASING YOU CHASING YOU CHASING Y

shintaro on the other hand can't swim, iirc this is canon cuz momo wanted to go on her trip with her dad to learn to swim Super good and then teach shintaro. ofc this didnt happen Lol and we know shintaro is the opposite of a sporty person so yea he also can't swim. in fact i think he just stays off the water and inside the tent with his phone. he hates it here its hot and he has sand in his ass he wants to go home. ayano keeps trying to drag him in the water 💔💔💔 i imagine ayano getting out the water like soaking wet with her hair all sticky and her eyelashes dripping with water like. VERY LITTLE KID ASKING YOU TO PLAY MERMAIDS WITH THEM ENERGY and goes to get shintaro and he's like AUGGHHH AYANO GET OUT YOURE GETTING WATER INSIDE THE TENT and ayano's breathing heavily like COME PLAY

i think shintaro ends up falling on the water on his stomach and face at least once and he's all icky about tasting the salty water. also takane definitely shoots him and he's DEFINITELY wearing a shirt so his shirt gets all soaked and he's so mad about it. on a more wholesome note i think he'd probably start a huge sand castle cuz hes bored and it gets RIDICULOUSLY huge and it looks amazing. people keep gathering to take pics of it. he probably wins some sand castle contest he didn't even know they were holding and makes a bunch of 10 year olds building castles with their dads rly upset

as for haruka. he DEFINITELY never swam😭 but i think haruka is just the kind to dip his feet in the water and sit there like Ah...effervescent..... while wearing a huge fucking hat to protect his paper white skin from the sun. ratio + takane shoots him with water gun + ayano splashes water on him begging him to get in the water. im describing ayano and takane as such menaces to poor haruka and shintaro but i think that's how it'd be. haruka is out of his comfort zone and excited but wants to take it easy, shintaro doesnt wanna be here AT ALL while takane and ayano are like OK WE ARE PLAYING THOUGH :3 SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH

kido can swim but i think they share this sentiment with haruka. they both kinda wanna chill at the shore with their big ass hats is that too much to ask (it is) (everyone attacks them) i think haruka also gets excited abt the water guns eventually. i think he and takane go a little crazy on each other with those. in my vision kano and takane are annoying everyone with the water guns and when kano gets bored and goes do something else haruka takes his place but instead of attacking anyone else he attacks takane. fatal mistake. they both end up like my ayano description from earlier. little kids dripping water after swimming for 2 hours energy. when kido loses their chilling by the shore buddy to takane they probably go see what's up with momo and seto cuz thats their gf and brother they wanna help..

UMMM i kinda talked about everyone even if they could or couldnt swim lol. ayano and kano are left ermmm ayano like i said A fucking menace it is her goal to get everyone in the water at once (except seto and momo cuz she gets it) and she probably wants to do beach volleyball or some shit everyone sucks at later. she's the Game Organizer. probably her idea to go to the beach. and she's playing mermaids with mary so much. SO MUCH

on seasonal instincts and dragon customs

[obligatory warning for brief mentions of animal reproductive habits and human sexuality. nothing explicit though.]

okay, so i haven't done any research on this, so apologies for any inaccuracies. but you know how in the animal kingdom, many behavioural patterns are seasonal? think of migrations, hibernation, reproduction... almost every animal's habits are impacted by their environment in one way or another. of course, dragons are no different.

i get urges to brumate in winter, when i get really slow and tired if the temperature drops below a certain level. when the weather is warmer i just want to bask in the sun for hours, absorbing as much sunlight as i can. and now that spring is here, im getting inexplicable urges to care for someone, preferably a young one.

ive never wanted children, at least not of my own. i am not parental in any way; i like to care for people but only in a big sibling/weird aunt/"dont-tell-your-mum-we're-doing-this" way. i love children, especially young ones, but raising one myself? having to care for someone all day, every day? getting pregnant? no fucking way.

im asexual, and aromantic. always have been, always will be. im pretty sex repulsed (hearing/reading about sex is fine, but the mere thought of doing something like that myself makes me nauseous) and romance indifferent; ive never, ever wanted a partner. i know of some beings in this community who hate the thought of having a human partner, but indulge in the idea of having a mate if they were in their 'type's body. however, that doesnt happen to me. wether in human or dragon form, i dont ever want to get romantically or sexually involved with another individual. im a solitary dragon, i dont need another to be happy.

however. spring is the season of blossoming, of abundance, of birth. in spring, new animals are born into this world, fragile baby dragons that need to be nurtured and protected. i do not have the urge to have my own dragonets, but i still get the instinct of caring for them. i long for a nest, for a little breath synchronized with mine, for a young heartbeat lying next to me. i would protect the dragonets, i would guarantee nothing bad ever happened to them. i would make sure theyre happy and well fed. i would teach them things about the world and tell them stories of our kind. and when the time came for them to leave the nest (to go with their real mothers perhaps), it would be with a promise to return soon.

dragon customs is something i dont talk about because i dont really have any noemata for how my species would interact with each other. i dont know if this is because my species is truly solitary or if i am the exception. besides, i dont like to speculate about something without having concrete evidence, even if its about something as subjective as a kintype. but seeing my instincts regarding springtime, i think its safe to say that my dragon species has a mating season. more than that, we probably care about our young communally, seeing as someone as isolated as myself has such strong instincts of nurturing dragonets.

im really interested to hear if somebeing has similar instincts in the spring, or even in a different season. and if so, please share any tips of how to deal with it because its driving me up the wall :}

Obligatory 'stats and popularity don't mean anything, she has enough to happily sustain a career which is the main thing that matters' blah blah. I do think it's super interesting that JB has around 500k followers on spotify as well as 500k listeners, while Lucy also has 500k followers but 1.5m listeners. (For now, I'm so sure it'll skyrocket after this next album, I really feel like it's gonna be huge for her). But anyway, while they have the same core audience size of dedicated fans, Lucy also has an extra sphere of more casual listeners because she has big hits like Night Shift that will end up on playlists and so on. It shows spotify's bias to "viral hits" as well as Lucy (and Phoebe, obviously) generally having more mainstream appeal. I don't know if it's weird and gatekeepy of me, but I don't really mind she has low numbers? Like yeah, I kinda Get why she's not as popular, her music's way more niche.

totally! i find the streaming stat wars that happen in fanbases like billie eilish and tswift's so exhausting like?? just! enjoy the music! why are we competing! but it is of course always interesting to look at the way people consume the media you also like. but yeah youre so right, when artists have hit songs that people listen to repeatedly like Night Shift it definitely influences the stats (like before the record i definitely was aware of lucy but because of songs like night shift and i dont wanna be funny anymore - i would listen to those a lot without really knowing much else about her). and i don't think it's gatekeepy, i mean maybe just because i feel the same way haha - when someones music is so special to you its natural to feel like 'okay the more people who get their hands on this music, the more opportunity there is for people to be weird about it' so its nice to just be in a smaller community like that sometimes.

You reach into Splendorman’s hat and pull out…

A tab from a can- the ones you’d find on energy drinks and soda cans… You turn the neon piece of aluminum in your hand before presenting it to the room in front of you. 

Jeff makes a move towards you, but someone else cuts through the air with a squeal- and hands are pulling you out of the seat and towards the hallway. You catch a glimpse of Jeff as you’re dragged away- he stands almost shocked but not all that surprised.

“I promise I’ll keep them in one piece!” Nina called out as she backed into the closet with you. 

“You’ve got seven minutes,” Jeff shouted back, his voice cut off and muffled by the door as Nina shut it. You’re put against the wall, and squint against the darkness… it’s nearly pitch black in the space save for the crack under the door and the glow sticks Nina had fashioned into earrings… the swaying of them almost made your eyes hurt…

Nina giggled to herself as she crouched in front of you, only a few inches away from putting herself between your knees. She tried to compose herself. 

“Sorry sorry- can I be real for a second?” 

She didn’t wait for you to give her an answer.

“This is my first time actually- getting a chance to play this game… I’ve played before! I just never got picked before…” Her grin flashed to you, false fangs catching your gaze. Your mouth shifts slightly as the image of her pressing them into your skin flashed through your mind… and Nina takes that as you being overwhelmed. 

She leans back on her haunches before simply letting herself fall backwards, legs sprawled before crossing themselves together. Her head tilts to the side as her bright pink eyes piece into yours- contacts, probably-

“I wasn’t being toooooo much was I?” She asked.

You finally find your voice, and shake your head. “No- No, I mean…” You busy your hands with the bottom of your shirt and look anywhere but her. “Getting dragged was a little much but I’m pretty sure Jeff was already going to do that anyways,” You offer a soft smile. 

“Actually, I’ve… never played this game before- like you, actually.” You continued. Nina was leaning in once more. 

“Never?”

“Nope,” You release your shirt and dart your eyes towards her. “I was kind of hoping you’d have more experience than me… I guess we’re both inexperienced, huh?” You chuckled softly. 

Nina blinks, and the silence between you quickly becomes thick with a certain awkwardness. “I mean… assuming you haven’t kissed anyone before,” You add trying to keep the talking going. 

“Have you?” 

Now you’re the one blinking, and you find yourself suddenly struggling to find the words. 

“I’m just messin with you,” Nina giggled, the glow sticks hanging from her eyes shaking with each movement of her body. “But…” She leans in, grinning at you.

“If you haven’t, I can show you the ropes… only if you want to, of course,”

You stare for a few seconds, and weigh your options. 

You could do what was intended of the game, and share a kiss with her… or you could sit here and simply talk with her for the remainder of the seven minutes. You’d probably already wasted at least two minutes just sitting together doing nothing. 

With a curling mouth that refuses to remain straight, you give her a small nod. The tilt of her head tilts sharply. “I wanna hear words- if you really don’t wanna do it that’s totally fine-”

“You can go on ahead-!” You put your hands on her shoulders and she jolts under your palms at the sudden touch… then she relaxes. 

“In that case…” She leaned in… with her closer than ever before you caught a whiff of the smell of nail polish and hairspray- it shouldn’t shock you. She seemed to change the color of her nails constantly, and you couldn’t fathom how much hair product she used to style and keep her hair in place. 

There was a hint of sour candy, too. Like she had just opened a fresh bag of it right in front of you. 

She chuckles softly as your nose scrunched, but she makes no comment as her lips brush up against yours. You steel yourself, trying your best to not push back… Nina senses your body tensing up and pulls back… you… weren’t exactly sure what came over you but you tugged her right back to you and relaxed yourself. As your eyes closed, hers widened but she didn’t pull herself out of your grasp- lord knew she could with all the work she puts in slashing down those who stand at the business end of her knives.

Strawberry lipgloss is smeared across your lips as your teeth clink against the fake ones in her mouth- you hadn’t even realized that she had opened her mouth. Your hands trail up to her cheeks… your knuckles brushed against stiff hair spray covered hair before coming to a rest. The pad of your thumb rested against the cuts in her cheeks and the burn scars littered across her face. She leans into the palm of your hand. 

After what feels like an eternity you finally pull away with a huff. It doesn’t take long at all for Nina to pull herself together, huffed chuckles being dished out between each pant for air. “I thought we agreed that I was going to be the one showing you how things work?” She teased. Heat shoots up along the back of your neck and your ears are set ablaze as you stammer out a quick apology. “I didn’t realize I got so into it… sorry about that,”

Nina puts a finger to your lips- the sharp point of her nails rested right against the bottom of your nose as she giggled. She wiped some of the gloss off of your mouth and repositions her hand to grasp your cheeks… she squishes them so can’t talk without being totally muffled. “I thought you were amazing actually… passionate… a lot more ballsy than I took you for,”

She gave your face one last squeeze before she released you. 

“But you’ve still got a ways to go if something like this has you getting all soft on me… for someone… here… you’re not as hardcore as the rest of us… why is that?” She asked.

Was she asking a serious question? 

You shifted around in your seat and pushed yourself further against the wall. When you didn’t give her an answer immediately, she just chuckled and waved the question off. “Kissing and killing are different though I guess,” she snorted, “I bet there’s at least one other person in the other room who would absolutely short circuit at the thought of having to kiss someone!” 

She laughed at the thought.

“Maybe Masky… he seems to be the closed off and reserved type… probably won’t take the reins when it’s his turn in here…” Nina readjusts herself and trails one of her nails on the floor.

“Splendorman might also be… one of those types… maybe… not that I mean he’s a…”

“A weenie?” Nina smirked.

“Yeah… a weenie, I guess… he seems too polite. Actually I’m surprised he’s entering the game… he did put something in the hat, right?” 

Nina taps a finger on her chin and thinks for a second. “I think I saw him slip something shiny in but I could be wrong.” 

The space between the two of you goes quiet once more. You look past Nina at the door… there had to have been only a few minutes left of the game, right? You weren’t really keeping track… would Jeff give you two a warning, or would he just swing the doors wide open? 

“I’m glad you came out of your room for the party tonight,” 

“You dragged me out of my room,” You reminded her.

She gave a soft “Oh!” and fell silent for a few seconds before piping right back up. “I guess I mean… I’m glad that you actually decided to participate in something! Instead of clinging to the wall away from everyone else… you know? I was actually a little surprised when I saw you put something in the hat- didn’t take you for the seven minutes kind of person… you give off spin the bottle vibes!” 

You scoff and hold your hand up in front of yourself. “What? Kiss someone else in front of others? Hard pass… euck…” You stick your tongue out but you find it difficult between the grin forming on your face.

“Scared that people are going to see how much skill you lack?” 

You turn your face and stick your tongue out at her. Nina flicks your forehead. Not hard, but enough to catch you off guard for a moment.

“Hey!” You hiss in response to Nina’s huff. 

“I hardly touched you!” 

Someone knocks on the door and the voice reveals them as Jeff. “One minute you two!” 

You and Nina looked at one another.

“You wanna make some snacks after this? I don’t think I’m going to keep playing the game… maybe we can convince everyone to play something else when they get bored with this one!” Nina offered as she rose to her feet. She did not bother with straightening out her clothing. She hardly waits for you to take her offered hand as she tugs you to your own feet. 

“Depends… What kind of snacks? If you’re going to try to mix sour strips with energy drinks you can count me out.” 

“I was thinking of making those popcorn marshmallow ball things but the sour strip and monster thing sounds great actually..” 

You swat her arm. “Do not… I’ve seen everyone say not to try it…”

“I’m gonna do it.” 

The door opens and the two of you turn to face Jeff. He… actually seems almost taken aback that the two of you seem to be relatively put together, and more importantly- you’re still in one piece as Nina had promised. 

“So she didn’t kill you… cool,” Jeff said after a pause, before reaching in and basically pulling you both out of the closet. “If you’re going to chop them up, feel free to do it now, I just needed them intact for the game,” Jeff tries to squint his eyes in a useless attempt to wink at Nina. She salutes him, before looping her fingers around yours. 

“Come on, you gotta tell me that you told me so when I try the evil sour spaghetti!” Nina chirps as she begins to drag you down the hall and towards the kitchen.

“The fucking… what..” Jeff hissed, but he didn’t get an answer as Nina dragged you away to witness the horrors that were yet to unravel… 

The… two of you did not return to the game before it ended…

im not sure if you were asking for them separately or as a ship but uhhhh ill just cover all my bases ^_^

when nica was in college she was kind of a heart breaker. she hadn’t dated very much in highschool, probably just some boy for a few months, mainly out of a feeling of obligation, but she really hits her stride in college. it helps because shes finally on her own, she can spread her wings without the burden of feeling like the pitiful disabled girl with the mentally ill mother. in college she gets to be witty and charming and make friends who dont know her dreary backstory. also in college she realizes she is in fact a lesbian.. <3 (insert obligatory changing my major reference thank you kora)

nica’s kind of reveling in the discovery of women and kissing women and being with women and well she is all about that but i fear that she is a huge commitmentphobe is the problem. the list of messy exes and ghosted one night stands is something that honestly embarrasses nica but well you see they were too clingy ! (wanted to sleep over after having sex) they were too pushy and nosey! (asked about her childhood)

basically um. well imagine growing up and your mother drills it into you over and over again that the scariest most dangerous thing you can do is fall in love with someone. that no matter what nica does, dont love another person. dont open yourself up to the hurt, the pain, the loss. and nica rebuffs it because of course she does. she resents her mother for thinking nica cant handle herself, handle possible loss or pain, but she grew up on this, this fear and anguish seeped into her brain and now she herself is terrified of that possible loss. so she simply does not open herself up to that! which is actually what is so funny but also perfect about tiffanica to me. nica so resistent and fearful of commitment and mutual love that it takes another woman literally keeping her in their house like a wounded bird for her to get the kind of exposure therapy she needed to see that maybe being loved is not the terrible thing she grew up thinking it would be

oh also i really believe that sarah pierce has had a few suicide scares in the past, and that was particularly hard when barb was away from home (nica would be 12-18 all by herself with her mother). nica feels extremely responsible for her mothers mental health and keeping her safe. in fact i genuinely believe that the reason nica is at home in curse is not because of her own health reasons but because sarahs mental health took a pretty drastic drip and, of course barb refused to take care of her (she wanted to send her to a care home/or a ward), so nica swallowed her pride and gave up her independence to move back with her mother and keep an eye on her while she got better. i genuinely believe this is canon i wont lie, i feel like its very well supported in the text and implications of the movie.. but im just throwing it in here because i like spreading the good word

so for tiffany its pretty much canon that she meets chucky when shes uhhh 19 if we are being generous. shes very young. and hes in his late 20s </3. so well for tiffany i think she had a very messy time in her teenage years. a lot of intense relationships that were not good for her at all, she wanted to feel something, feel alive and in control but these men dont really wake that feeling up in her. she’s not careful with herself, i wouldnt call her suicidal but shes not very concerned with her life. visiting bars and hooking up with dangerous looking men for a thrill, shes kind of just waiting to get murdered about it the rate shes going. but when she meets chucky the pieces just fall into place. their relationship is so turbulent and exciting and dangerous and everything tiffany thought she wanted. but chucky is on a level above tiffany, hes colder, more calculating, more manipulative and dangerous, despite how badly tiffany wants to be just as despicable as him.

this isnt so much a headcanon but uhhhh. the fact that tiffany and chucky are together for 2 years before he dies. the fact that chucky kills her mother.. ^_^ um well i think that was probably just about the most fucked up thing. you have no one but me. she was holding you back. she wanted to stop you, but i want to set you free. etc etc etc… AGHH. when youre wrapped up so tightly in another person like that, in such a twisted and desperate and unhealthy way, it really does make sense that tiffany is obsessed with chucky ten years later. especially the fact that in that time she had idealized him so severely, i really believe that tiffany had completely twisted their relationship up in her head in the 10 years he was gone. she convinces herself that what they had was magical, that he was the one for her, that he was more loving than he actually was, that he held a certain amount of tenderness for her that shes emphasized in her mind. that she was the villain in their relationship, the desperate jealous bitch who hurt her loving boyfriend, without even giving him a chance. she gets the chucky heart tattoo when she finds out he dies, revels in the pain. she deserves to hurt after what she did. its less of a tattoo and more of a brand

hmmm kind of headcanon but also kind of implied canon due to jennifer and fiona’s machinations.. but i really like the concept of tiffany and nica having a very complicated and interesting dynamic post cult. the first time tiffany meets nica properly, is after chucky has hurt her. maybe he hit her or said something particularly hurtful, but she swings back and hits him across the face and well. out comes nica. this is how they meet the first few times. nica manages to wrangle her anxiety and panic under control, seeing the way that tiffany is so hysterically upset and anguished. and she comforts her. she doesnt know what else to do, she hates tiffany, cant look at her without hearing “she’s dead, miss pierce” ringing in her ears but the longer tiffany spends sobbing in nicas arms, she doesnt feel that burning hatred in the pit of her stomach. the fear kind of subsides a little too, not by much, but its not the overwhelming blind panic she felt the first time this happened. shes realizing that tiffany is not the cold calculating villain that she had believed her to be. that shes broken, hurting and scared, and desperately in love with chucky, someone who cant love her back the way she wants, the way she needs.. nica pities her

also the rest of my tiffanica thoughts lie squarely in the alternate but better reality where nica never gets dismembered and tiffany exorcises chucky from her body, so them living in tiffanys house together is a lot more like. focused on their dynamic and how they learn to care for each other in a way that makes sense to both of them. its kind of everything to me.. ^_^

OH one additional silly headcanon i have is that barb owned a copy of bound, but she left it at home after leaving to college, and a young nica ends up stumbling upon it and well um. it in fact does affect her in ways.

Perhaps the MOST surprising pick for me. Is Lando hot??????????? I've been asking myself this for months......he also seems to be entering his fashion girl era. (FINALLY!!!) He was pictured in an Aimé sweatshirt (A JUMPA for ur english and former english colony folk) so i have high hopes. Maybe I'm just seduced by his Dutch battle scars but he really came thru today. at first i thought he was in miyake and i was literally going to go BALD. but its not :( the brand is basically an even more expensive Zara lmao but...baby steps lol

P3: FERNANDO ALONSO

When Kevin Jz Prodigy chants 'eating the old way! serving the old way! serving the old way!', they meant that about grandpa stunting in head to toe WAG white. he's got the youthful shoes, casual polo with the dad fit, linen trousers for the swap weather. its classic. reminding all the wags who the real bad bitch is.

P4: ZHOU GUANYU

The media is doing him sooo dirty by not showing the back of his jersey!! its not my favorite look he's ever done but it's only media day. i think he looks great in red and i love the blackletter font on the back. I do wish the front was a little cuter but his pants are really cool (sorry theyre cropped out lol) and he's still giving personality and taste!

P6: OSCAR PIASTRI

ok yes he does have the 6th grade boy who's still close with his mother fit on under the jersey but he's always stayed true to who he is. i like that he's worn jerseys to races/race locations he seems excited about like he wore one in Melbourne for his home race. AND this one is signed?! he came with a goal in mind and it was to GAG the fellow jocks at the paddock. jock4jock if you will. gotta respect it.

P7: YUKI TSUNODA

it's a basic serve but a serve nonetheless. he's comfy, he's casual and looks good. i like this color on him a lot and the contrast between the pink and red is fun. hair is looking super good too!!! this is gonna be a good weekend for him, i'm demanding it from the universe!!

P8: VALTERRI BOTTAS & LANCE STROLL

A tie because they're both just on the diva in a tee vibe. You can't blame a comfort queen for being one! The color is nice on Lance and Val is sporting that farm's tan well.

Another tie because they both just came in team livery. that's literally the only reason they were included in this category. though it pains me to rate alex anything other than handsome, wifed and successful. he does look great in them trousers and who can resist him in blue! hoping for a little creativity (arriving with lily) tomorrow!! as for logan...this is ur home race.....i better see something real special and/or Floridian tomorrow or ELSE.........CHOP!!!

I know the girls are not gonna like this one. But i must speak my truth.....even if you won't hear it....

I don't think anyone is surprised he's wearing his own merch. It would be better for me if it was a little more interesting than his last few releases of just his brand's logo but I like the color and detailing. He's, of course, wearing the wrong size. Personally, if i were trying to promote my own brand, I would perfect tailor the shirt to fit my body so it looked like the best shirt i've ever worn. The Purse by Dre is probably the best part if only because its so stupid and useless. The cargo pants....look, as a former fan, I know that he prefers to dress in baggier clothes. I'm not knocking him for that--who doesn't love a billowing tee to hide the body tea but when you're a 35 year old millionaire...why do your pants not fit you. This is saggy crotch and diaper butt territory. From a styling perspective, sometimes wearing oversized clothes only makes you look smaller. Like you're drowning in your own clothes. That's what it always looks like to me with DR. I know he's interested in fashion and yeah maybe he is still on my shit list but for someone of his status and with the level of resources he has at his disposal...like this man went to the MET GALA with an actually good nEW YORK BASED DESIGNER. what is this...CHOPPPPP

Ugh. heavy on my mind AND my spirit. Never has powdered blue made me so viscerally annoyed. Normally I love this color but not like this. If the design was actually good, I would still hate it but lucky for a hater like me, the design is SOOOOOOOOO hideous. I guess one of the top ten corporations ruining our planets wasn't enough of a steal for them, they had to add a double whammy for genocide blood money too! Puma AND Hp? It's like they thought the BDS chart was a bingo card. The mechanic style name tags are a nice touch too. Very down to earth for millionaires who's private plane usage might be able to rival THAT woman. Blue collar cosplay is kinda fun when you don't actually have to live paycheck to paycheck! Its nice that their name tages are so low too, so you remember that they've sold their souls out to corporations. It's really only a matter of time before a thirst photoshoot with laptops come out or Charles shoves his puppy into a printer. But hey! At least Charles is investing in the local community!
