damn, that's awesome and/or intense. i don't fully get it though, i gave up reading partway through act 2
Ok but consider: A production of Hamlet that starts with the last scene and then Horatio has to play his role in the rest of the play, but he’s still completely dissolved in tears. Everyone else is oblivious and he has to keep it together for the sake of storytelling, but his voice cracks as he says “I think I saw him yesternight”, regret filling his tone, and he frantically holds on to Hamlet as he begs him not to follow the ghost; he practically chokes on his words as he shouts, “Be rul’d!” And he knows it’s no use, but he’s so reluctant to play his part in this and he can barely keep his emotions at bay. And then the end of the story draws nearer. He takes longer and longer to say his lines. He hesitates, tries to stretch out the little time he’s got left with Hamlet. He doesn’t want to be in this narrative, but he is. Until finally, as Hamlet decides to duel Laertes, Horatio simply gives up. Reluctantly, but knowingly, he accepts the fact that there’s nothing he can do but play his part and relive it all, just to honor Hamlet’s legacy and story. And Hamlet dies in his arms a second time.

Daddy's Credit Card
Cullen Family x Female Vampire Reader (Platonic)
PART 2
Summary: After what was supposed to be a simple baseball game, Bella finds herself being hunted by James. The family leaps into action to protect her, but will wild card Y/N fall into line or throw Bella to the lions?
TW: Mention of death and violence, lack of regard for the feelings/property of others, angst.
Tumblr media
The Cullens rushed back to their home in a panic, quickly splitting into cars and formulating a plan on how they could protect Bella. James was an excellent hunter and they didn't stand a chance unless they went on the run.
Y/N leaned against the wall of the garage, watching the family scramble around and talk through possible strategies. She sighed softly to herself, thinking about how Edward should just let Bella die and move on.
Edward's head snapped in her direction, sending her a sharp glare, "Stop it," He growled. Y/N scoffed, silently resuming her task of picking the dirt from under her manicured fingernails.
"Y/N, go with Alice and Jasper. You have the strongest gift and you should be the last bit of defense around Bella," Carlisle said.
Y/N made her way over to them, Edward caught her arm before she got into the car, "If you let her die, I will never speak to you again," Edward said.
"Wouldn't exactly be a big loss," Y/N replied, tugging her arm out of his grasp and getting into the car.
Y/N put in her headphones, scolling on her phone as Jasper pulled out of the garage. They were headed to Phoenix, set on putting as much distance between Bella and the tracker as possible. Edward stayed behind, assisting Esme and Rosalie in spreading Bella's scent through the woods to throw the tracker off.
Edward had very little confidence in Y/N, she had become an unknown variable in the family's effort to keep Bella safe. Edward knew that she wouldn't hesitate to let Bella die if she were put in a position where she was the only one between Bella and the tracker.
He could tell that his threat had done nothing to change her mind, but he took comfort in knowing that Alice would monitor her decisions to protect Bella. Edward hated the rift that had formed between him and Y/N since he chose to love Bella despite their differences.
Y/N had become even more of a loose cannon since their argument and Edward found himself unable to even talk to her anymore. She had shut him out in every way aside from her thoughts, which grew more hateful with every passing day.
Spreading Bella's scent through the woods in Forks was found to be ineffective shortly after Bella arrived in Phoenix. The tracker changed direction and Edward rushed to follow him with Carlisle and Emmett.
They called Bella from the road to notify her of the change in their plan. Edward was planning to take her to Vancouver while the rest of the Cullen family hunted the tracker and his mate.
Y/N was laying on the bed in the hotel room, texting with a smile on her face. Alice found herself getting irritated, looking over at Y/N from her spot on the couch beside Jasper. Y/N hadn't said a word during the entire drive and now she laid there grinning at her phone like there wasn't someone actively trying to kill Bella.
"Could you at least pretend to care?" Alice snapped.
"Alice," Jasper said quietly, trying to calm her raging emotions before things could get out of hand.
"Would it change anything?" Y/N asked without looking up from her screen.
"No, but-" "Then no," Y/N stated, getting up from the bed.
"I'm going to the bar," She said.
"You should stay with Bella," Alice said, standing up from her spot on the couch.
"Are you going to come over here and stop me?" Y/N asked.
"Alice, let her go," Jasper said softly, trying to calm the heightened emotions in the room. Alice huffed, shaking her head as she sat back down.
"That's what I thought," Y/N muttered, making her way out of the room.
...
Bella made her way down to the lobby after talking to James on the phone. He had her mother and he was going to kill her unless Bella met with him at the ballet studio.
She peered around the corner, quickly spotting Y/N at the bar and Jasper standing on the other side of the room with Alice.
Bella's heart pounded in her chest as she quickly made her way towards the front door. She turned the corner, jumping as Y/N was suddenly standing in front of her.
"Where do you think you're going?" Y/N asked.
"I-I was just-" Bella started, desperately trying to think of an excuse.
Y/N raised an eyebrow, "Just what?" She asked, stepping closer to the human.
"I was just gonna get some air," Bella replied.
"Tell me where you were really going or I'll drag you up to our room and tie you to the radiator," Y/N said.
"James called me from my house. H-he has my mom," Bella said shakily.
"Let me guess... He wants you to come alone, you for her?" Y/N asked.
"Yes," Bella nodded.
"If you go, he's going to kill you," Y/N stated.
"I have to save my mom. Please," Bella pleaded.
"I could save you some time and break your neck right here if you want to die that badly," Y/N said.
"I don't want to die, but I have to save my mom," Bella repeated.
"I can give you a twenty minute head start. No more, no less," Y/N said.
"Thank you," Bella said, rushing out the door of the hotel.
"What a shame," Y/N sighed, making her way back over to the bar.
...
Edward and his family arrived at the ballet studio just in time to save Bella. She was injured, but alive. Edward was able to suck James' venom from Bella's veins before she turned and they brought her to the hospital to receive treatment for her injuries. Y/N returned to Forks with Alice, Jasper and Emmett while Carlisle and Edward stayed behind in Phoenix to be with Bella while she recovered.
Alice knew that Y/N let Bella leave the hotel but chose to keep it quiet because everything had worked out. She was definitely going to be monitoring Y/N's decisions more closely after Bella almost died because of her carelessness.
Alice was beginning to question how callous Y/N could really be, there was nothing inside her but anger and hatred. Y/N didn't care about anyone besides herself and it was becoming more apparent.
Bella and Charlie returned to Forks with Edward and Carlisle following closely behind. James' mate had vanished and Edward was not willing to risk leaving Bella without protection until she was located.
"Alice told me about what you did in Phoenix," Edward stated, standing in the doorway to her room.
Y/N flipped the page of her magazine, "I assumed that she would," She said, eyes remaining on the glossy pages.
"What is it going to take to get you to see how much I care about her?" Edward said.
"You have an infatuation with her, Edward. You don't love her," Y/N stated.
"I do love her," He said.
Y/N looked up at him, "Then turn her, let her live out an eternity in this house with you," She said.
"It doesn't have to be that way," Edward snapped.
"Yes, it does. You're a moron if you think it can work otherwise," Y/N said, looking back down at her magazine, "Get out of my room," She said, flipping the page.
"Bella is coming here tonight and I want you to stay as far away from her as possible," Edward said.
"Won't be an issue," Y/N muttered.
...
Y/N stood out on the balcony, watching the forest dim as the sun sunk below the horizon. She heard the door open behind her, not needing to turn around at the suddenly overwhelming scent of human blood.
"Edward doesn't want you around me," Y/N said.
"Yeah, I just wanted to say that I really appreciate what you did for me in Phoenix," Bella said.
Y/N scoffed, turning to look at the young girl, "What I did for you? You can't really be that stupid," Y/N said.
"I-I don't understand," Bella said softly.
"Don't mistake my indifference for compassion, Bella. I couldn't care less if you live or die," Y/N said.
"But I thought-" "The only reason I haven't killed you myself is because Edward would kill me for it," Y/N said.
"I didn't-" "With all due respect, which is admittedly a very minuscule amount, there is nothing of interest that you could say to me. This conversation is over," Y/N said, stepping around Bella and making her way back into the house.
Edward was standing by the doorway, obviously ready to interfere if the conversation went in a direction that Bella was not equipped to handle. His eyes followed her as she moved across the room, "You think I'd kill you to protect her?" Edward questioned.
"Am I wrong?" Y/N asked, looking over at him. Bella stepped into the house, lingering awkwardly by the doorway as she took in the sudden tension of the room.
"You're my family," Edward said.
"That's not an answer," Y/N replied.
She looked over at Bella, suddenly finding herself slammed back against the wall as the thought of tearing out Bella's throat came to mind.
Edward stared down at her, breathing heavily as he kept her pinned in place. A confused look crossed his face when he realized that there was no intention behind the thought. Y/N was just trying to get a reaction out of him to prove her point and he fell for it immediately.
Y/N looked up at him, watching the realization dawn on him as he slowly released her, "You treat me like a rabid dog that you need to chain up despite knowing me better than anyone in the entire world... I have never suffered a bigger betrayal and you still struggle to understand why I am so spiteful towards you," Y/N said.
"I never meant to hurt you," Edward said.
"But you did," Y/N stated.
"Y/N-" "I loved you," She said.
"I know," Edward replied.
PART 3
She huffed a laugh, "You continue to surprise me with how callous you truly are. We're more alike than you'd like to believe, Edward," Y/N said, making her way out of the room.

Could you do when the cullens are friends with you but have a crush on you?
The Cullens when they have a Crush
Ok this prompt is so cute I love it I couldn’t wait to start writing this until I got off work so you guys are getting another story written from the fuel station
Thank you for requesting and I hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Edward:
It’s pretty obvious whenever he has a crush on you
He’s around you all the time, sits next to you, invites you to things
He’s no stranger to having a crush on a human so mentally he’s okay with it
He does struggle a bit with waiting to tell you the truth about him but also not wanting to put you in danger
But either way he brings you so many gifts
Lavish, expensive dates
He goes all out for prom and homecoming
If you aren’t interested he is heartbroken
But that doesn’t stop him
Tumblr media
Alice:
She is around you 24/7
She knows that you’re supposed to be together, so now her goal is just to woo you
Gifts, parties, dates
Absolutely smothers you with affection
She’s a very passionate lover
She doesn’t do things halfway
And she doesn’t care that you’re human
And she doesn’t care if you’re disinterested
She knows you end up together
She can wait forever if she needs to
Tumblr media
Jasper:
He’s scared
He’s never felt this way about a human before
And he’s terrified
He tries to stay away from you at first
But he can’t
He loves you and he wants to be with you so bad
Honestly you being around motivates him to work harder on his tolerance for blood
He wants to be a safe person for you to be around
But he’s pretty slow about it
He doesn’t want to overwhelm you
He just lets things happen naturally
Tumblr media
Rosalie:
She’s struggling
She does NOT want to have a crush on a human
Like she’d rather die
It takes a while for her to get over it
She ignores you completely
And if she can’t ignore you then she is really nasty to you
It takes her a while to come around, but once she does she is so apologetic
She’s working through her issues, just give her time
Tumblr media
Emmett:
He is not one to hesitate
He knows he loves you, so why stew in it?
He literally asks you out on a date despite you two not even really knowing each other
He goes the whole nine yards though
Nice suit, bouquet, your favorite restaurant
He doesn’t let up either
He wants to be with you so he does everything he can
Tumblr media
Esme:
She’s also not shy about it
She wants to be with you and the only way that will happen is if she says something
She’s a lot more subtle tho
She actually does what you’re supposed to do and befriends you first
Friends to lovers type deal
She gifts you little things she makes for you
But more than anything she loves spending time with you
That’s why she became your friend first
If you’re not interested, then she’s okay just being friends
Tumblr media
Carlisle:
He has no problem with humans
But he believes that he has no place being with one
He’s so old, and he’s so far removed from being human
Yall have nothing in common
He just feels like he would be stealing you away from your human life
But he can’t stay too far away
He would hang out with you all the time, slowly slipping you money and other things to make your life easier without you knowing
I think you would have to make the first move
And even then he’s a little hesitant
Love him tho
Tumblr media
Vampire! Bella:
She may have gained immortality and crazy skills when she got turned
But she did not get any game
She scares the hoes away on a regular basis
She does not know how to flirt
So yeah expect the most awkward interactions of your life
She tries her best to flirt a little but it’s bad
“Are you from Kentucky because you’re the only ken I- wait that’s wrong”

Hii, Could you do like Bella meeting Jaspers human mate for the first time (while Bella is also human) and it throws her off that the reader is warm? If you don't have time or think it's weird that's totally okay! Thanks for reading it!
Another Human
A/N: So I changed this slightly so it was the reader meeting Bella for the first time, I hope that's okay! It just made it a bit easier for me to write!!
Buy me a coffee :)
Tumblr media
You were nervous as you walked up the front step to the glass door, your hand clasped in Jasper’s ice-cold grip. It was always a verve-wracking thing, meeting your boyfriend’s parents, but you were even more nervous since you found out that your boyfriend was a vampire; and so was the rest of his family. It didn’t matter how many times Jasper reassured you that they were going to love you, there was something about the idea of being the only human in a house full of vampires that kept you on edge.
‘(Y/N), you need to relax! You’re going to be fine and they’re going to love you,’ Jasper said for what felt like the hundredth time as he lifted your intertwined hands to press a gentle kiss to the back of your hand.
‘I know, I’m just nervous!’ you insisted, melting slightly at the feel of his lips on your skin and Jasper chuckled when he heard your heartbeat jump slightly.
Jasper led you through the doorway and you were greeted with a group of people who had the same colour eyes as your boyfriend and you were struck by how beautiful they all seemed to be. They all introduced themselves, not hesitating to shake your hand, embrace you in a hug or even drop a kiss to your cheek and you marvelled at how easily they seemed to handle being around a human; especially after Jasper explained their different diet to you.
‘Jasper didn’t tell you?’ Emmett asked, raising his eyebrows at his brother, amusement clouding his eyes.
‘Didn’t tell me what?’ you asked, looking back up at Jasper who had snaked his arm around your waist, holding you close to him.
‘You’re not the first human we’ve had around here, honey,’ Emmett replied in a sinister tone, making you shrink back into Jasper. You saw Jasper’s eyes narrow as he looked at Emmett and all of a sudden, you were filled with a sense of calm that you know had something to do with your boyfriend’s gift.
‘Don’t listen to him,’ Jasper murmured soothingly into your ear, ‘he made it sound bad. Edward’s girlfriend, Bella. She’s human too.’
Your brows lifted in surprise. ‘Why didn’t you tell me?’
‘He’s nervous when he brings Bella up after what happened on her birthday,’ Edward said, his eyes cooling slightly as he thought back to that night and you felt Jasper stiffen next to you.
‘What happened?’
‘I’ll tell you later,’ Jasper spoke softly down to you.
You heard footsteps on the stairs and suddenly a girl who you assumed had to be Bella rounded the corner. You vaguely recognised her from school but had never really spoken to her.
‘Hi! I’m Bella, it’s so nice to meet you!’ she greeted warmly, moving to shake your hand and you couldn’t help but jump slightly when you felt that her hand was warm, a stark contrast to everyone else in the room, causing Emmett to let out a loud laugh.
‘You’re fine when a bunch of ice-cold vampires shake your hand or hug you but you jump when you shake hands with a human,’ he laughed, turning his gaze to Jasper. ‘I like her.’
‘I guess my bodies adjusted to Jasper, I wasn’t expecting to meet another human today,’ you replied sheepishly.
Everyone chuckled softly before you felt Bella’s warm hand lightly grasp your arm, tugging you away from Jasper slightly. ‘Come on,’ she said, leading you towards the staircase, ‘I’ll show you the house and I can fill you in on what it’s like around here, it’s nice to have another human around!’

Enemy (Edward Cullen x Werewolf GN! Reader)
Summary: Imprinting was supposed to be a good thing, not for you though. Fate seemed to be mocking you by having your imprint be a leech—Edward Cullen, to be more specific.
tags: gender-neutral reader, reader is a werewolf, post-Eclipse, Edward is your imprint, mentions of wanting to be dead, no established relationship
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were on enemy land, yet you didn’t care. Let them come. Let them do their worst. Maybe it’d be a mercy, a reprieve from the torment you’d been living. The trees around you stretched endlessly, their branches clawing at the sky like the fingers of ghosts, haunting you with every step you took into Cullen's territory.
Imprinting on a vampire—it should’ve been your death sentence. An abomination, they called it. The whispers, the disgusted glares, the sneers from your packmates. Your family wouldn’t even look you in the eye. So, why not wander where you weren't wanted? Why not provoke those you should be avoiding?
A snap of a twig echoed through the forest, and you halted, every muscle tensing. You knew he was there. You always knew. It was a curse, this damn imprinting, a cruel joke from the universe to force you to feel everything for the last person you should.
“Edward,” you spat, the bitterness in your voice impossible to hide. “I know you’re watching me. You may as well come out.” Silence stretched and then he emerged—graceful, quiet, like a shadow having been given a form. His golden eyes were fixed on you with such an intensity, it made your blood boil.
“You shouldn’t be here.” he said, his voice irritatingly soft, like he actually cared about your wellbeing.
A laugh escaped you, the sound harsh and bitter in the stillness. “And where should I be, huh? With my pack? My family?” You took a step toward him, your fists clenching at your sides. “Because let’s be honest, they’d prefer me dead. I imprinted on a vampire, Edward. That makes me as good as a traitor to them.” You forced yourself to meet his gaze, defiance burning in your eyes. “And you—you hate me, too. Don’t pretend you don’t.”
Edward’s expression tightened, but he didn’t break eye contact. That infuriating calm, as if nothing could shake him. It only fueled your anger. “I don’t hate you.” he whispered.
“Oh, don’t lie,” you snapped, shaking your head. “I know you do. How could you not? I broke up your happy little life with Bella, didn’t I? You were supposed to be with her, not be tied to…” You gestured toward yourself with a bitter laugh, “…whatever this is.”
A flicker of something crossed his face—pain, perhaps regret—but it was quickly replaced by his usual composure. “Bella and I were never meant to last,” he said with great honesty in his voice, catching you off guard. “We loved each other, but things changed. We changed. It was my choice to let her go.”
“Your choice?” You scoffed, narrowing your eyes. “Then why are you even here, Edward? Why bother with me? I’m just a mess—your sworn enemy, for crying out loud. If you hate this as much as I do, then do us both a favor and end it.”
He moved so quickly that you barely registered the motion. One second, he was standing a few feet away, the next he was in front of you, his hand gripping your arm with a surprising gentleness that left you frozen. His eyes bored into yours, a fire burning in their depths. “I told you, I don’t hate you,” he repeated, his voice edged with a hint of frustration. “And you’re not a mess, not to me.”
“You’re…” He hesitated, his jaw tightening as he searched for the right words. “You’re my imprint. I didn’t ask for this, nor did you, but here we are. And I…I can’t stand to see you like this. I won’t lie and say it’s easy,” he admitted.
“But that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. We can’t change what happened, but we can try to make something of it. Maybe we start with being friends?"
You barked a laugh, though it was devoid of humor. “Friends,” you echoed, tasting the word like it was foreign. “You think we can be friends?”
“It’s a start,” he said, his voice gentle but firm. “And maybe, in time, it can be more. If we both want it to be.”
The vulnerability in his words caught you off guard. You expected pity, maybe even indifference, but not this—this honest hope that things could be different. You let out a shaky breath, feeling some tension drain from your shoulders. “Alright,” you murmured, the fight leaving you. “Friends…We can try.”
A small, tentative smile crept onto Edward’s lips, and for a moment, warmth spread through your chest, easing some of the ache that had settled there. It wasn’t a solution, not by far, but it was a beginning.

I am back once again in my Twilight mood and thought that I would write some poly!relationship with my 2 favorite vampires from the Cullens.
Tw: Yandere themes, unhealthy mindset, unhealthy relationship, possessive behavior, obsession, manipulation, gaslighting, threats, stalking, overprotective behavior, isolation, death
Sharing a darling
Tumblr media
Alice has definitely caught glimpses of you already in her vision. She knows that Jasper and her have another soulmate somewhere in the world but it is only when your parents decide to move to Forks that she is able to see the bigger picture of everything. She is certainly surprised to find out that that she and Jasper have another soulmate but she doesn't ponder too much about it. Instead she just feels very happy to know that you exist. Edward probably finds out before Jasper but only because he read Alice's mind. He also gives her an astonished look but soon cracks out a small smile as he knows that Alice feels happy about it. She tells Jasper as soon as she has had her vision and it is Jasper who is a tad bit more hesitant to fully grasp the situation. He has been with Alice for such a long time and he loves her so much so he has a hard time fathoming how he could possibly love someone the same way he adores her. He senses her happiness though about the situation so he silently accepts the future.
There is time to prepare for your arrival and it is time that passes by far too slowly for Alice. She's definitely giddy whilst thinking about your arrival and her joyous mood eventually also gets through Jasper who starts looking forward to seeing you, even if he is still a tad bit cautious about all of this. Alice loves telling him what she has seen in her vision and even draws you so that Jasper can see just how cute you are. Alice makes sure that Jasper and her dress up especially well as soon as she knows when exactly you will arrive and where exactly both of them will meet you. She's so eager as she drags Jasper with her on that day and whilst Jasper isn't exactly feeling as optimistic as she is, he doesn't have the heart to deny her what she wants. Both of them don't have to look long for you as their enhanced senses aid them in spotting you quickly and in that moment they really feel like you have been missing all along.
If Alice would still have a heart, it would pound so wildly against her chest right now as she just looks at you and takes in your every curve and feature. She's already mentally gushing over you and can't wait to do everything with you she has already been planning in the months before you moved to Forks. Jasper's doubts completely fade away as soon as he spots you too as he instantly feels the connection. His eyes also observe you with a warm glint in your eyes but differently from Alice, he is also being much more strategic and especially more overprotective. Suddenly he becomes even more aware of his surroundings and if anyone is looking funnily at you as his mind instantly switches to a protective mode, especially since you are a human. Alice notices his more rigid and alerted gaze and nudges him playfully. He can worry later. Both of them should now meet their soulmate.
Jasper takes the backseat for quite a while as he just lets Alice do the job. Not only because he knows that Alice is far more easily approachable than he is since he has a colder appearance but also because he is worried that he might be tempted by your blood. You have a very sweet smell around you and he has still very vividly in mind what happened when Bella cut herself on paper during her birthday. He could never imagine hurting you, his soulmate, yet he knows that it might be more realistic than he might want to admit. It almost feels like he is a thrid wheel for a while and even if Alice tries to include him more since she just knows that he's silently suffering from not being as involved and as close with you as she is already, she respects his wishes. Your joyful appearance in their lives actually motivates him to work harder on his self-control since he would never be able to forgive himself if he would hurt you due to his own lack of self-control.
Alice is a refreshing breeze that just enters your life as she approaches you with confidence and from that day on is always involved. You might be a bit startled by her bold approach but she is surprisingly good in sensing how far she can go from now. She takes the pleasure of being your guide you can run to in search for help since you are new here. Her goal is to be the first person you are really close to because she knows that if she is someone you already know better than others, you will gravitate more to her and rather search for her than ask new people for help. Especially if you are on a more introverted side. In either case, Alice seemingly adjusts flawlessly to your own vibe which allows you to feel more comfortable when around her. Jasper due to his more quiet nature initially spooks you out a bit but she reassures you that her lover is deep down just a big softie. You'll see that soon enough.
If Alice is the one who is visibly present in your life and always makes sure to tell you about the newest fashion, rumors and stories in this small town, Jasper is the one who is always watching over you behind the scenes. He is definitely too protective over you for his own good and that is made all the more worse since you are still only a human. He's the one who is always a few steps behind Alice and you when she excitedly shows you a great shop for clothes or a nice place to consume some beverages and some cakes, even if she sadly can't share the joy of eating and drinking as you do which is why she tries to avoid dragging you to such places. His eyes always seem to scam your surroundings and the people passing by as if he is always prepared to hear something or see something that will indicate that your life is in danger. He is the one who at times even stalks you just to quench that overprotective duty that he feels now that you are part of Alice's and his life.
Edward and Alice, and by extension also the rest of the Cullens, is aware of the tiny bit more illegal activities that Jasper is doing and they definitely have a small talk with him about it. Edward probably can't lecture him too greatly about it as Jasper is quick to remind his adoptive brother of the way he behaved around Bella when she was still a human. He's definitely getting more defensive and even mildly aggressive if someone wants to have a discussion with him about his stalkerish and overprotective tendencies. A tiny part of him might be able to rationalise why they tell him that he is overdoing it but the major part of him just can't think of what he is doing as wrong. He only has your good intentions in mind after all so he is definitely the type of delusional man who will justify some of his more questionable behavior with his feelings and your safety in mind. Alice is the only one who can talk to him without him instantly getting defensive and for her sake he does try to tone his behavior down a bit. Next to his struggles to control himself around human blood though, he seems to have unlocked a new urge he can't quite control.
Jasper only really allows himself to interact more with you when he has more confidence in his skills to control his lust for blood and only then will you finally get to know him so much better. He has always held himself back before out of fear that the scent of your blood might tempt him and you have always interpreted that as him not liking you. Now he proves you wrong though and actually turns out to be much more mellow than his exterior might let on. You are surprised to actually find out just how sensible he seems to be as he always seems to guess your current mood accurately. Whilst Alice seems to be more outgoing and bubbly, Jasper is more introverted and shockingly soft and mellow around you. He always seems so careful around you and sometimes you feel like he is talking to you like one would talk to a baby deer in order to not scare it away. At the same time you also realise that he doesn't seem to be comfortable around other people. He always appears to be slightly more tense and you always notice the protective step he seems to take as soon as someone he doesn't know approaches you.
Honestly though, the combination of their abilities is kind of scary. You essentially have someone who is able to feel and influence your emotions in Jasper and someone who can see the different outcomes of your future in Alice and whilst both of these abilities would be already quite scary by themselves, combined this makes for an even more dangerous mix. You aren't able to hide stuff from both of them because whilst their enhanced senses would probably already allow them to notice that something is wrong, Jasper can additionally sense it in your feelings. Honestly, Jasper can be a bit overbearing due to this strong need he feels to keep you safe and to protect you so as soon as he senses that you are scared, he automatically enters this overprotective mode where he is ready to scare anyone and everything away that frightens you. Additionally he just feels better if he knows where you are and with whom you are at the moment if neither Alice nor him are with you and not knowing your current location always has him worried.
Alice with her ability to see different scenarios of the future also are in the longer run very scary and useful. Whilst it of course allows both of them to prepare and keep you away from potential danger, it also completely enables her to watch over decisions you make and which impact they might have on your future. If she ever has a vision that would show her that you would have to leave Jasper and her, whether this decision was made by yourself or is the result of someone else, she and Jasper always come up with plans to cancel your departure from them. Neither one of them can just allow you to leave them like this, not now when you have become an official part of their lives and hearts. So whilst Alice always has a watch over your future, Jasper can influence your presence directly by controlling your emotions a bit. Neither one of those would ever dare to take it as far as inducing you with false feelings for both of them but at times Jasper just influences your feelings enough to not have you take any rash decisions.
Alice and Jasper have to compromise on how they spend their time with you. Whilst Alice enjoys going shopping with you and dressing you up all cutely, Jasper just prefers to just have the three of you doing something by yourselves. He always feels uncomfortable and pressured when he is around people he doesn't consider his loved ones and that has become a tad bit worse since you have come around. He wants to show you his love and that isn't as possible when he is constantly alerted due to everyone around you. He is already at times a bit more protective around Alice but that is much worse with you who is only a human. He's much more loving and at ease when it is just the three of you. Alice often plans everything though and Jasper lets her. She is creative with her plans and always comes up with something that will be fun and exciting but that doesn't mean that she doesn't consider Jasper's more simple desires to just hang out with only the three of you.
Both of them start planning relatively early on how to tell you about what they truly are. In fact both of them have been considering this as soon as they knew that you exist. Whilst Alice could have done fine without instantly going over how to tell you that they are vampires as carefully as possible, it was probably Jasper who wanted to start thinking about it at such an early stage already. Of course both of them were only able to really start properly planning as soon as both of you started knowing you better. Jasper has always seen him as the biggest risk to spoil the secret so he has been up until now tried his hardest to not slip up with anything. The closer you get to both of them and also by extension the rest of the Cullens, the bigger the chances are that you start finding out. Edward tells both of them after a visit where he also met you that you are already suspicious. Their eye colour, their cold skin and the fact that you have never seen them eating or drinking anything has already roused your suspicion.
Both of them already suspected as much as Edward tells them but hearing it just confirms their suspicions. Both of them know that they should tell you their secret now sooner than later. Alice tries to be more optimistic about everything whilst Jasper is more worried because he fears that you might see Alice and him as monsters after finding out that both of them are vampires. This is probably one of the prime examples of how Jasper uses his abilities though. He makes sure that he influences your emotions and calms you down when the time comes where Alice and him inform you about their true identities so that you don't freak out and allow Alice to calmly explain everything to you. This might be the moment though you silently realise that you probably have little chances to escape as soon as you finally know the truth but weirdly enough don't feel scared or freaked out. Well, thank Jasper for inducing you with such calm and serene feelings to keep you from feeling scared.

Can we have a part 2 of it was our plan where its after the cullens come back but y/n is still kinda distant from jasper?
A/n: I hope this is what you expected!
It was our plan PT. 2
Fem! Reader X Jasper Hale
Tumblr media
——————————————————————————————————
Pairing: Female human! Reader X Jasper Hale
Genre: Oneshot, angst to fluff
Warning: none that I’m aware of, use of Y/n
Summary: When the Cullens returned to Forks, Jasper Hale seeks you out so that he can apologise, but you avoid him at all costs.
Word count: 1.4k
Part One here
——————————————————————————————————
Hate. Resentment. Sadness. Three annoying feelings you felt in your bones, throughout your body.
You absolutely hated that the Cullens - despite agreeing with you with you former plan - had left Forks without warning. Okay, yes, Jasper did technically 'warn' you, but he left immediately after telling you and left no room for discussion about you going with him!
You had resentment for Jasper for leaving you on that day, he had loved you and loved that you had gone as far to plan how you would leave Forks. I mean, what kind of person would leave the person they loved immediately after telling said person they were leaving and then leave without a proper goodbye?
But, ultimately, you felt sadness every waking hour. You were heartbroken at the fact you’d never get to see Jasper again, never get to kiss him, never get to hug him, never get to hold his hand, never get to be beside him ever again. You were upset because there was literally no one like Jasper Whitlock Hale, there would be no man you would love as much as you loved Jasper.
You wouldn’t go as far as to believe you were depressed, in fact, you had given into the anger instead of the sadness. You tried everything you could to get rid of that sadness, and, so, that meant you felt pure anger for Jasper.
In months that the Cullens had been gone, you had focused on many different things, however boring it may have been. You had organised your room, studied a lot, finished many of the books you wanted to read, attempted arts and crafts, sports, and much more. You even tried to help Isabella Swan out of her depression about Edward leaving, though it proved more difficult the more you tried.
Your grades went up due to your endless studying, even in the subjects you struggled on most! Your parents were proud at that, though they still worried that you had not properly been upset at Jasper’s absence. You'd been sad in your own time, sometimes you would give yourself a few moments of sadness before you would quickly despise yourself for being upset that Jasper left.
You hated him.
You hated the man you loved most.
You despised Jasper Hale.
So, when the surprising news of none other than the Cullens returning to Forks arose, you did not hesitate to ignore the supposed amazing news.
While Bella quickly went back to loving Edward, and practically planning for her own transformation into a vampire, you stayed as far away from Jasper and his family as you could. You couldn't bare to see him, you couldn't bare for him to try and apologise. You didn't want to go back to him. You didn't. Defiantly not.
Nevertheless, all you wanted to do was fall back into his arms, hold him, kiss him, love him. You wanted Jasper back, you wanted to love him, you wanted to be around him, to feel the coldness of his hands when he held your hand throughout the halls of school and as he walked you to your front door.
You missed the vampire's stupid Southern drawl, the way certain words seemed to roll of his tongue and make your knees go weak. You missed his golden coloured eyes, followed by his dark coloured eyes depending on the day. You missed the way he would walk you to your classes, the way he would carry your books when you had too many, the way he would drop you off at home after your dates, the way he was always respectful to you and your boundaries.
On Jasper's side, he had been trying desperately to get your attention, to find you while you were by yourself.
Though, due to your stubbornness, Jasper was unable find you by yourself and, if he wanted to catch up with you with his speed, he was unable to because you were smart enough to stay with other people. Or was it stupid?
Either way, Jasper had beaten himself up senseless because he felt so incredibly bad about how he left things. All he wanted to do was make it up to you, he wanted to be with you again. He knew you wanted to as well, he could feel it. Though, he could also feel your anger, your frustration, towards him.
On one particular rainy day, you had your hood pulled up over your head and your coat zipped up all the way, hands shoved in your pockets to keep them safe from the freezing rain.
Thankfully, Jasper had seen you walk out of the school, you were walking home that day, Jasper remembered from your weekly routine and because - on these days - he would be the one to take you home. He was walking quickly towards you, silent but quick. He knew he couldn't use his speed to catch up with you, but he had been so desperate to do so.
"Y/n." He called out to you, causing your heart to drop at the sound of his beautiful sounding voice.
When you didn't reply, he said your name again, now only a few feet behind you. "Please, Y/n."
"Don't, Jasper." You sighed out, but, in reality, all you wanted to do was hug him. "I don't want to hear it."
The coldness in your voice shocked him, he'd never heard you speak so rudely to anyone, let alone him.
"Y/n." He repeated, his voice was pained, you could hear the sadness in his voice. No one needed his power to know the heartbreak he felt.
You turned around to face him, rather abruptly. You would have preferred to not even face him, you knew his saddened face would break your beak into a thousand little pieces, would make the heartbreak physically hurt you.
"Don't, Jasper." You said again, your voice was trembling, but the anger was clear. "Don't you dare, you left. You left me, here by myself."
He looked you in the eyes, he could see your glassy eyes and how you were fighting the tears.
"You don't get to be heard out, not when you left like that." You scowled at him, hands in fists and you almost wished he was human so you could actually hurt him - as terrible as it may sound. "I was here, while you were... Wherever the hell you were!"
You sniffled, you were trembling and you could feel the rain down your cheeks. Or was it tears? "It wasn't fair."
"I know, I know." He said softly, he took a step closer to you, his arms extended as he reached out to you. "I shouldn't of said goodbye like that, I am so incredibly sorry."
You shook your head as he walked near you, you took a step back and it took the hint. His arms hung loosely at his sides, he wasn't going to touch you if you didn't want him to.
"Please, Y/n. I was afraid." He said, the saddened tone that escape his mouth seemed so unnatural for someone like him. He'd never sounded like this, never sounded so broken. He spoke again, but his voice was quiet, he was still aware of the people around him, the handful of students who were watching the scene unfold. "You saw what I almost did to Bella, I never want that to end up happening to you. I would never be able to live with myself again if I was the reason you got hurt."
He wanted to attempt to reach out to you again, but he didn't want to risk of getting rejected again, he wasn't sure if he could handle watching you back away from him again.
"Darlin', I never want to be the reason that you get hurt, that you..." He trailed off this time, he didn't want to say what he thought.
"That I die?" You finished for him, anyhow, with a hushed voice and a broken voice much like his. "That's what you want to say, isn't it? You don't want to be the reason I die?"
You shook your head again, now certain that you had been crying, tears streaming down your face like a river alongside the rain droplets. "You don't trust yourself, Jasper, but I do. I always have, I always will."
"I am dangerous." He whispered out.
"No." You whispered out, you walked over to him with your arms extended. You grabbed his hands. "No, you are not."
You both locked eyes, his with his golden eyes and your glassy eyes. Your words had echoed in his mind, you believed that he was good, you believed that he wasn't the monster he saw himself as.
You quickly embraced the frozen vampire, and he wrapped his arms around you. Both of you had missed the other's touch, both of you were desperate for the other's touch, and both of you finally got the one thing you desperate missed: each other.
In this moment, in the moment you held each other in the pouring rain, outside of the school, you thought that maybe - just maybe - things will be okay.

Swan Sisters (Part 3)
Tumblr media
Part 1 Part 2
Jasper Whitlock X Reader
Bella Swan and Sister!Reader
Summary: Part 3 of the sister!reader series where you're Bella's sister and a vampire, but she doesn't know. Yet. In this part - the decision making meeting following the accident + you finding Edward in Bella's room that night + talk of La Push beach
Word Count: 3199
Warnings: None? Jasper's murderous intent, but like, only for a moment.
---
“NO!”
You are met with the clattering of a falling chair and Edward’s voice, sharp and defiant, as you step into the Cullen’s house.
“Edward.” That’s Carlisle’s voice.
You peek into the dining room, where the whole family is sitting around the table. Except Edward, who looks ready to flee, and Carlisle, who’s keeping him from doing just that. Jasper’s eyes find yours, and you can tell that it’s not going well. They must be talking about what to do already.
“It’s crystal clear, Edward. You can deny it all you want, but that’s what I see,” Alice sighs.
“I have to leave.”
“You can’t!”
Everyone’s eyes snap to you, as if they weren’t already keenly aware of your presence. It makes you flinch, unprepared to have so much attention so suddenly. You hadn’t meant to burst out like that.
“He’s not leaving,” Alice chimes, voice light despite the nerves fizzling in the air. “There are only two ways I see this ending and neither involve him leaving. He’ll never be able to at this rate.”
“I can change it!”
“What do you see, Alice?” You implore her, finally stepping into the room. The argument you planned in your head on the way here is all but forgotten. There isn’t often much you can do to change Alice’s visions.
The little ravenette glances at you, and only then does she hesitate. It can’t be good, then. You look to Edward, to ask him, but his eyes are locked on you, dripping with such misery - and remorse? - it makes you waver. Dread creeps up your spine. What did she see?
“Tell us, Alice,” Jasper urges, looking uneasy from the storm of emotions clouding the room.
“Well, it depends on how strong Edward is,” Alice starts, glancing warily between you and her brother.  “If he’s not strong enough to control himself, he’ll…kill Bella.”
Your eyes blow wide. Kill her? No, no you won’t allow that.
“And he’ll hurt you when you try to stop him,” she finishes, though she looks like she’s waiting for-
A low snarl tears through the room.
Everyone goes abruptly still, except Alice. All eyes turn towards Jasper.
And the sight steals your breath away.
Standing at his full height, Jasper braces himself against the table, every carved muscle drawn taut, wood splintering under his grip. His hair falls like shattered pieces of a halo around his face, lips drawn back around a feral, animalistic snarl. Bleeding to a molten black hue and dripping with something violently dark, his eyes are locked solely on Edward.
The others all shift back, instincts screaming at them to get away from the threat in front of them. This isn’t Jasper anymore. No, it’s the soldier. A man ravaged by war, whose skin is decorated with scars like medals, whose fingers still drip with the blood of past kills. And he wouldn’t hesitate to kill again to protect what he loves.
And you’re in awe. Because it is Jasper. The man you love. Your mate.
How could you ever be afraid of him?
“Jasper-” Edward holds out his hands, but it does little to placate the blond. Jasper just narrows his eyes, and Edward seems to flinch from some invisible attack.
You shake yourself from your reverie. As much as you want to kill Edward yourself, the thought of him hurting your sister burning like ice through your veins, you know you shouldn’t. Deep down, even if this is something Alice has seen, there’s a part of you that’s certain he won’t do it. He’d never be able to live with himself. So you won’t let him die just yet. For Bella.
“Jasper,” you call softly, his name sugar on your lips, “stop, please.”
The change is instant, like a cat retracting its claws and flattening its fur. The blond is at your side, his touch gentle as he curls around you, nose tucking into your hair. No more fury. No more soldier. Just your Jasper. Though you can still feel his concern, and that only warms your heart more.
“I feel safe, Jas. Can’t you tell?” You smile up at him, letting your emotions speak for you.
“You sure, darlin’?”
“Completely.”
Just like that, he relaxes against you, letting out a soft huff in your hair when you giggle. It seems you’re pretty good at taming the big, bad wolf. He’s really just a soft puppy on the inside anyways. Maybe he’d purr if you scratched him under the chin - you’ll have to try that some time, you think with another laugh.
With that settled, you turn back to the family. Each and every one of them is staring at you with wide eyes, astonishment clear in their features. Edward looks so relieved he might faint, and just a touch disturbed. You can’t help but give him a teasing smile.
“You thought he was going to hurt you?” You chirp, leaning back into Jasper’s chest.
Edward glances warily at the blond (who you know is still glaring daggers, not that you mind).
“You should have heard what he was thinking,” he replies, shaken, “What he’s still thinking!”
“Jasper.” You elbow him none too gently.
“...Sorry.” He’s obviously not. But you nod anyways, much to Edward’s chagrin.
“What else did you see, Alice? What’s the other outcome?”
Alice, not missing a beat, picks up right where she left off, “The other ending is that she will be one of us someday.”
You blink.
And blink and blink.
You would say you’re shocked, but can you really be?
This is where you ended up, so why not her?
“Okay,” you hum, finitely.
“What? No! That’s not going to happen!” You roll your eyes at Edwards, dramatics. You suppose that also makes sense now.
“This certainly makes things more complicated,” Carlisle murmurs.
“I’ll say,” Emmett agrees, voice bordering on laughter.
“Our plans don’t change though. We’ll stay and watch. And no one will touch Bella.”
“No-”
“Edward,” you cut him off, and he stiffens, “just think about it. Think about what it means.”
If she becomes a vampire, that probably means they’ll fall in love, just like you and Jasper. You can already see it. Especially after your conversation with Bella.
Edward jerks as he sees your memories, the ones your purposefully let fill your mind. Her blushing at his name, the vehement denial, her laughter. And you see the spark in his eyes, the gleam of something beyond thirst, beyond amusement, and you know.
But he shuts down, a shield of cold disinterest covering his face, before storming right out of the house. With him gone and Jasper calmed, the rest of the Cullens settle back into their seats. None of them seem too surprised by Edward’s dramatics. You’re still feeling a bit whiplashed, though.
With a heavy sigh, you lean even further into Jasper’s embrace. Someday he’ll figure it out. You can only imagine how he feels, especially since you know what he thinks about being a vampire himself. The only thing keeping them apart at this point though, is their pure stubbornness.
It’s just a matter of time before they both accept where they’re going.
The silence left in Edward’s wake breaks when Emmett bursts, “What just happened?”
And then everyone is laughing, and the tension dissipates.
“I think our dear Edward just realized he’s falling for a human,” Rosalie says, nose scrunching.
“Hey, I was human just a little bit ago,” you point out, but Rose just rolls her eyes.
“You were different.”
“Mhm.” Your eyes squint into thin crescents. “I believe I was even more awkward. God only knows how you all put up with me.”
“Oh, we loved you, (Y/n),” Esme chimes, ever the second mother to you all, “And you’ve been so good to Jasper.”
“Not as good as he’s been to me,” you reply, looking over your shoulder at the blond.
His arms tighten around you a fraction, lips curling with a soft grin as he brushes your noses together. It’s such a sweet, gentle gesture, you can’t help but sigh, eyes flickering shut.
“You guys are sickening,” Emmett grumbles.
“I think they’re cute,” Alice chirps.
“If cute means gross.”
As if he and Rose are any better, you muse and hide your smile in Jasper’s chest. At least you keep things innocent in front of everyone else. Bar one incident where you could have sworn no one was in the house. But still!
“So, Jas-” You prop your chin against him, eyes alight with unrestrained admiration. “-were you really going to hurt Edward to protect me?”
Jasper’s brow furrows, his hands tracing along your waist thoughtlessly to keep himself grounded. Even the memory of your sudden fear, the feeling so sharp it had felt like a knife digging into his chest, makes him want to chase the copper-haired vampire down and kill him. He’s sure he could too. Edward may have his ability, but his fighting experience is lacking compared to him.
Seeing the dark shadow fall over his eyes again, you reach up, brushing your fingertips along his jaw before cupping the side of his face. They flicker down to you hesitantly, and it’s easy to find your answer there.
“No killing him,” you hum, drawing a sharp frown from the blond. “Bella likes him, so I think she’d be pretty put out if something happened to him.”
“And he’s a part of this family, just like you,” Carlisle adds serenely, a more valid reason perhaps.
“And he’s the only one who will play chess with me.” Of course you can’t take that from Alice.
“So we can’t lose him,” you say, voice veiled with laughter. “Plus, he keeps the family safe, including me. Just like you’re trying to do.” You press a kiss to the corner of his lips, which seems to melt a bit of his icy defense. “I want Bella to be like us one day and it looks like she might be if we let this play itself out.”
You feel lighter after saying it out loud, even more so when Jasper finally loosens, giving you one of those stiff, reluctant nods before pulling you back in to bury his face in the crook of your neck. You curl your arms around him, letting out a relieved breath into his hair.
Just like that, the weight of it all seems to magically disappear. This changes everything, after all. If Bella gets turned, you’ll never have to lose her. That thought alone makes you soar. And if she ends up with Edward? Well, that’d just be perfect.
There’s a lot you still need to navigate, but maybe it’ll all work out.
---
If working out means you find Edward standing in your little sister’s room in the dead of night several hours later.
“You have three seconds to explain before I kill you,” you growl, voice just quiet enough to not wake Bella.
“(Y/n)-”
“Time’s up.”
You shove him right out the window.
Edward deftly catches himself and you drop down right next to him, ready to give him a lashing. But before you can even get a single scathing word out, he jumps to cover your mouth. You both freeze. Slowly, your eyes narrow into slits, every murderous thought flickering through your head. Maybe you should let Jasper at him. Edward goes even paler than usual, if that’s possible.
“Just…let me explain?” He implores quietly.
You hold your fierce glare for a moment, just to watch him squirm, but eventually concede.
Brows raised, Edward hesitantly lets his hand fall away, as if he still expects you to bite his head off. You want to. You feel like you have every right to, given how you just found him, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt. Just this once.
“I was worried. About her,” he starts, sounding just as bewildered with himself as you are. “I couldn’t stop myself, I just had to make sure she was safe.”
“So you broke into her room and watched her sleep? Do you know how creepy that is?” Your face screws up as you recount the sight. “Seriously, Edward, you can’t just-”
“I know,” he snaps, “I know. I was just going to check on her and leave, but then I started thinking about…about staying.”
Staying? Hope sparks in your chest. Does that mean he’s accepting Alice’s vision? An image of him and Bella, walking hand in hand, in love, flashes through your mind.
“Please try to restrain yourself,” he mutters, suddenly reluctant at your inner burst of excitement, “I still don’t think it’s safe.”
“But you’re trying to make it safer.” That’s why he stayed. Being around her is like some kind of weird exposure therapy.
Edward cringes, “Don’t call it that.”
“That’s what it is, though,” you hum, all your previous malice evaporating into the air. This is so exciting! He wants it to work. “You’re hoping being around her will desensitize you to her scent.”
“It worked for you.”
“And if it works for you, you’ll stay?”
“...maybe.”
Good enough for you! Esme will be so happy. And Alice. She probably already sees it.
“Okay!” You concede with a bright smile and give him a cheesy thumbs up, “Still creepy but I’ll allow it! I believe in you, Edward, you can make this work.”
He rolls his eyes, but there’s just the smallest smile pulling at his lips that shows his fondness for you. Your optimism has always been effective at cheering up even his cloudy moods. There’s something contagious about it, which makes you all the more perfect for his brother, alongside your fierce protectiveness.
Speaking of.
“If you touch her though, I will garrotte you.”
And with that, you skip off back to the house, humming to yourself and leaving a baffled Edward behind you.
There was no hint of a lie in your mind.
---
“Are you sure Edward isn’t bipolar?”
You snort, barely covering your mouth before a cackle escapes you.
Bella, queen of smooth segways. You were just asking what she wanted for dinner.
“Pretty sure,” you chirp once the laughter passes, “Why do you ask?”
“It’s just-” She pinches her lips together in frustration. “I can’t figure him out. One minute he’s being nice to me and the next it’s like he’s trying to scare me off.”
“Not surprised,” you say with a shrug, “I don’t think he’s ever liked someone before.”
You grab a potato, making quick work of peeling it. Charlie likes your roasted potato recipe. The man is a meat and potatoes person through and thro-
Oh no.
You twist on your heels, coming face to face with a stunned Bella. She’s staring at you, doe-eyed, mouth barely gaping.
Oh, you weren’t supposed to say that.
“I mean- he uh, he- oh I’m so screwed.” You steeple your fingers in front of your lips.
“He likes me?”
“Well…” How can you answer this without answering it? You groan. If only you’d gotten some special ability to turn back time, or not say stupid things at least. “Can you forget I said that? He’s gonna kill me.”
“Why would he treat me like this if he likes me?”
“I don’t know! Cause he’s stupid? Cause he thinks he’s not good for you?”
Bella frowns, as if it’s the most bizarre idea in the world “But he’s-” She gestures vaguely.
“Gorgeous? Perfect? Stunning?”
That’s what you thought when you first saw Jasper. You could hardly speak a word to the man because of how flustered his beauty made you. If your memory serves correct, the first time you successfully put words together in front of him, it was because he used his ability to calm you down.
“They really are an attractive bunch,” you mumble to yourself.
“You fit pretty well with them,” Bella says offhandedly, a hint of something in her voice you choose to ignore.
“Anyways, you and Edward. What did he do this time to prompt such accusations?”
“Well, a group of us are going to the beach, and I tried inviting him. He says he wants to be friends, but that we shouldn’t be, and then he got all-” Another vague gesture, and you can’t help but giggle as Bella tries to do an impression of Edward’s sulky expression. “I don’t know, but it was weird.”
“Which beach?” You ask, curious. If it’s-
“La Push.”
Yup. La Push, the beach on the Quileute’s reservation. Many of your summers were spent at that beach, up until you were turned and learned about the true history between them and the Cullens. Now you can’t go anymore, unless the wolves become a little more amicable.
“I think there’s a history there,” you explain vaguely, “The Quileute don't like the Cullens. But that sounds fun! You might run into Jacob!”
“Jacob, yah.” She doesn’t seem too interested in the prospect, not compared to the intrigue in her voice when she asks, “Why don’t they like the Cullens?”
“Not sure, some legend or something?” It wasn’t something you asked about in depth. All you know is that Sam Uley does not like you anymore, not that he ever really did. “Just don’t take the whole Edward thing too seriously. He probably wanted to.”
“Because he likes me?” Bella raises a deft eyebrow.
You give her a sharp glare in return, “If you tell him I said anything, you’re dead meat, Tinkerbell. I’ll have just enough time to get you before he kills me.”
“It’s not like I believe you.” She shrugs, coming beside you to pick up peeling the potato where you left off, though you catch the smallest frown marring her lips. “No way Edward Cullens likes me.”
Oh.
“So you’re both stupid.”
A match made in heaven. Or purgatory maybe.
“Just realistic.”
Oh sweetie.
You shake your head, allowing the silence to stretch as you switch over to the steak and let her finish the potatoes.
You departed from reality a long time ago. There is absolutely nothing realistic about your life right now. A girl from Forks, one of the most uneventful towns in the country, who somehow fell in love with a Cullen, the one with the least control mind you, and ended up getting turned into a vampire herself. Not to mention the werewolves and their weird imprinting thing. It’s really like you’ve set foot in some fantasy novel.
And now Bella, too. You can only imagine how she’d react to learning about it all.
By the time you finish preparing the meal, right before Charlie gets home, Bella seems less perturbed. There’s a little glint to her eyes as she plates herself some food, one you can’t miss after growing up with her.
“What are you thinking, Bells?” You prod, practically gluing yourself to her side.
“Nothing, just that it might not be too bad to run into Jacob tomorrow,” she mumbles, avoiding your curious gaze.
You tilt your head, “Why?”
She just shrugs again, and that’s when your father decides to make his entrance. You let out a soft huff and slump into your seat, not missing Bella’s little secretive grin.
That can’t mean anything good.

Bella struggles to get used to how quiet it is in the Cullen household. It's a house resided in by a family of vampires with superspeed and more grace than a human being could ever possess so the silence makes sense, but it's still a jarring thing for her to come to terms with, especially after living with Charlie.
Edward doesn't leave her in the house by herself very often, in fact she could probably count the number of times it's happened on one hand. This had been one of those rare occasions. When Edward had received a call from Rosalie to come and pick her and Emmett up from somewhere in town, Bella had insisted he go alone. That she'd be fine in the house by herself for an hour or so. He'd hesitated, but Rosalie had insisted on him leaving straight away, and he'd begrudgingly left Bella by herself.
It's an opportunity she won't let go to waste. What better time could she have to snoop around and see all the mementoes and belongings of this family that had lived through centuries in some cases. Esme had promised to give her a tour at some point but she figured there was no harm in getting a preliminary look.
What she wasn't expecting was to start walking downstairs and spot Jasper and (Y/N) curled up together on one of the couches in the living room. She'd jumped at the sight, worried for a brief moment that they'd notice her and bolt, but when they give no visible indication of seeing her, she stayed put.
Jasper and his mate are still a bit of a mystery to her, even after being acquainted with the Cullens for a few months. She knows about their abilities and has benefitted from both of them. Jasper's ability to change emotions and (Y/N)'s ability to manipulate dreams have been incredibly useful in stopping Bella from being haunted by nightmares of that night in Phoenix. She knows parts of their history as well, how (Y/N) is the youngest vampire in the Olympic Coven at a mere 34 years old, and how Jasper has been alive since the 19th century, but they've never been the most forthcoming about spending time around her. She's chalked it up to their wavering control around human blood and never took any real offence to it, but it's nice to see them and not have them visibly tense as soon as she's within proximity to them.
"You're really something, you know that?" The soft sound of Jasper's southern drawl fills the air and Bella finds herself flinching in surprise once again. She quietly sits down at the top of the stairs, barely able to see the two of you in the hopes that you can't see her. You didn't seem to be doing much, just spending time together. In a way it's nice to see you both so at ease. It's a stark contrast to her first impression of the two of you.
"Yeah?" The way the two of you look at each other can only be described as lovestruck. It's full of adoration and you can tell from one look that the two of you are soulmates. Bella knows that you're not the only couple in the coven but it's rare for any of the others to look at each other the way the two of you do. It's sweet, and she hopes that one day she and Edward will look at each other like that.
"I love you so much."
"I love you too." The two of you shift so you're even closer together even though to do so seems like it would be impossible before something in the air changes. You must hear something Bella can't as the bubble the two of you were existing in seems to pop in an instant and Bella watches as Jasper's eyes shift to the front door and yours shift to her. She rises to her feet in an instant, mortified at being caught watching the two of you in what was clearly a private moment.
It's only when she hears the sound of a car driving onto the gravel outside the front of the house that she realises what has happened. Edward, Rosalie, and Emmett walk through the front door moments later and when she dares to walk down the stairs she finds the couch you were occupying vacant. When Edward asks why she's standing on the stairs, it's all she can do to mutter an excuse about being thirsty, her eyes never leaving the empty couch.

If Morpheus from the Matrix films showed up in Twilight to tell Bella that, actually, vampires aren't real, none of this is real, and she's just living a fantasy inside the Matrix... but he believes she might be "The One" destined to save humanity...
Does she leave the matrix and fight machines on the off-chance she has a super special destiny... or does she go back to the matrix? And does the timing of when Morpheus shows up matter?
TL;DR - would Bella pick the red pill or the blue pill?
You know, this is a very interesting ask, because Bella is hands down a "red pill" kind of person, no questions asked, no hesitation. She doesn't doubt herself, ever, and is all too willing to reject her presumed reality even when it may not make 'sense'. She goes beyond that, even, and dives headfirst into engaging with and dating man eating monsters who are especially dangerous to her personally. "Turn me into a crystal demon, I'm ready". If Bella was given the Morpheus tour ordinarily she'd go "yup, the world isn't real, I'm going to the real world".
However, this is a Bella who's firmly in love with Edward...
You know.
I think to this Bella she'd have a very large "oh" moment. Edward is so perfect, so wonderful, because he's her programmed boyfriend by evil machines who know exactly what she wants to keep her happy. Bella's probably so clumsy/weird because the machines fucked up in her programming and she's not wired in her tube correctly.
Bella concludes Edward's not real.
(Morpheus tries to explain this isn't really how it works but Bella's not listening to that).
Bella's extremely depressed but accepts the reality that her reality was so perfect it isn't reality (Morpheus also tries to explain that her reality is explicitly not perfect because the machines tried that and it didn't work, but she's not listening).
Now, she can continue to live the dream that isn't real, or she can face reality. And I think Bella would choose to face reality here, actually. The dream was wonderful, but it's a product of evil machines, and if Morpheus is to be believed they'll probably kill Edward at any moment because he's too perfect and Bella's too happy (this also isn't how it works but Morpheus is done at this point). So, to save Edward and the wonderful dream, she has to face the real world. (Also not how it works).
Bella lives the Matrix (and is quite happy she can mind whammy herself into being whatever she wants so she can be a crystal, vampire, hot princess in the Matrix who knows Kung-Fu because she is The One).

This Love Came Back To Me - Epilogue
I can not believe this is the last part of Eclipse. I never thought I'd get here. Big thanks to my editors for dealing with this for two years. Biggest Thanks to you guys for waiting two years for this part. <3
Summery- I was completely overwhelmed with this looming dread. This wasn’t just about Bella anymore. Though that was bad enough, this involved me now. Despite how often Edward disregarded my safety and despite how desperately Carlisle tried to protect me from this;
My life was in danger.
It was never going to end was it?
Word Count- 1,184
Warnings- Vampires- and all the things that go along with vampires (blood, biting, age gaps, sparkling, dramatics) a lot more swearing this time. There's some minor injuries and some very minor character death. mentions of vomiting (2 actual vomits, due to injury) Battle, fighting and planning. It's all very happy I promise.
There is no imprinting and there never will be <3
Notes from me- My name is Claire and this! This is finally my third love child. I started writing this on the 27th of July in 2022. I lost hope a few times but it's here and I hope you love it. Thank you, so so much for staying with me.
I promise Breaking Dawn will not take as long! I'm writing it already! <3
As always, I DO NOT own The Twilight Saga. All rights go directly to S. Meyer.
Read on AO3 <3
Masterlist <3 (Ch 4, Ch 5)
I love you <3 Thank you for still being here <3

Alice managed to get me out of the house and to Seattle only three days later. She drove the Porsche and we made the trip in a little more than two hours. I felt like I was going to vomit the entire time. I trained my eyes out the front windshield.
Carlisle made her promise to make me drink water, but didn't insist on going with us. I was actually very excited for a girls day.
It felt normal.
Most things had already fallen back into a normal pace. Carlisle went to work that morning. I didn't feel unstable on my own two feet. We could go shopping in Seattle now that there wasn't an army of Newborn vampires being created to kill us. It was normal. I could breathe again.
Inside a small boutique, Alice and I discussed colors. Alice thought deep reds- maybe maroons would make the whole thing feel very classic. I thought maroons were a bit too on the nose for a vampire wedding and Bella would probably prefer more neutral tones, like greens and browns.
We went back and forth like this until she found a silvery lavender dress. I froze in my spot when she held it to her skin. I didn't know how to explain it, but I knew it was right. The color matched the undertones of her skin so well that I knew Bella would love it. It was a perfect mix of vampire and subtle.
She draped it over her arm and continued her search. I found a dress in a similar color that was a bit shorter and I knew she would look stunning in it. Before I could take it off the rack she said, “Yes! It's perfect!”
I laughed and handed it to her. She took it into the dressing room without another word, and though both of us knew it would be perfect, I was still excited to see her in it. When the door shut behind her, I sat down on the closest bench and took a deep breath, then a sip of water.
Again, almost normal.
She came back out only a few seconds later and she took my breath away. She smiled at me and practically skipped over to the mirrors. She played with her hair for a few seconds before sighing.
“Can I?” She looked a little hesitant- not used to handing over fashion choices. I pulled a hair clip off the accessory rack and pinned back her pixie hair on one side. It was a style that was very reminiscent of the 20's. She looked frozen in time and utterly angelic.
Suddenly she turned towards me and grinned, “It's your turn.”I almost shied away from her grin, but before I could she was dragging me across the store to where we'd found the other two dresses. Without hesitation she handed my one calf length dress and one that was to the floor.
When she was satisfied with her choices for me she promptly pushed me towards the dressing room. Before I even had time to zip the first dress up she called out to me, “Hmm… Not that one.” I chuckled, but swapped dresses. Even when I came out in that one she still wasn't content with the decision. She walked over to the rack and began her search again.
This time it only took a second before she gasped and she pushed me back into a dress room. I knew without even trying it on that it was perfect. Of course she agreed with me the second I stepped out in it.
This dress was more modern than Alice and Rosalie's, but still a clean and classic look- soft tulle in a soft lavender color with delicate blue flowers. Her reaction only sold me on it further. She was speechless and when she pulled me to the mirrors, I was too.
We stood there for a moment before she pulled herself back together. Her eyes fluttered like she was blinking back tears. “It will need to be brought in a bit, but your necklace is perfect- oh! And your hair tied back with that blue ribbon of yours- Now shoes…” She danced back to the sales floors. I giggled as she went.
I didn’t mind indulging her, even if Bella did. I loved to see her this happy.
“Has she picked a date yet?” I asked as she paced the length of the shoe racks.
“August Thirteenth. And yes I am aware that it's two months away, but I will make it perfect…” She trailed off, lost in thought.
“I know it will be.” She met my gaze and I smiled at her. “Thank you. For all of this.”
Her smile matched my own. “It's important to all of us. Edward wants to stall her, but we want her to live. She skipped over to me and took my hands in her, “I wouldn’t trade my life for anything I would have experienced as a human. But it’s so important… that you two live.”
She continued looking at shoes and went on, “If it's just prom, and graduation, and a wedding, it's still more than the rest of us had. We may be only living vicariously through you, but someday, she'll be grateful she experienced a little more life.”
“I'm grateful to live a little more life with her too. Though, I also think… at some point, we have to let her be happy with the life she's chosen for herself.” Alice seemed to deflate a bit at my words, but I added, “These are just small things you’re asking of her, and I do see the benefits for her mother and our dad, I just hate to think that she might be compromising some of her own happiness for the sake of all of us…” I trailed off, but she understood.
“You and Carlisle think so similarly sometimes. But she doesn’t have to compromise on anything more than a few hours and her dirty converse. Everything else will fall into place exactly like it’s meant to.” She placed a delicate hand on my arm as she said this. I had a feeling she meant more than Bella and Edward’s marriage- like she meant literally everything would fall into place. And I’d never bet against Alice.
Her smile grew “Plus- Who doesn’t love a Cullen party?”
I couldn’t help but laugh, “The whole town will talk about it for decades, I’m sure.”
“At least until they see what I do for yours.” She grinned.
My eyes went wide. “Oh god…” Though I wasn’t really scared. I could cross that bridge when we came to it. She went back to examine shoes. I pretend to get caught up looking at hair accessories.
I ran my fingers over a simple lace veil as my mind drifted back to her words.
He hadn’t asked me yet, but I knew he would.
And I knew that I would say yes.
I knew, without a shadow of doubt, that someday, maybe even someday soon, we would have forever.

Daddy's Credit Card
Cullen Family x Female Vampire Reader (Platonic)
PART 3
Summary: Edward made the choice to leave Bella behind and now he grapples with the fallout of his decision. How will he fare without Y/N to fall back on in his time of need? Will she come to his aid despite their strained relationship?
TW: Mention of death and self-harm, lack of regard for the feelings of others.
Tumblr media
Carlisle made his way into the penthouse apartment that Y/N had been staying in. She left Forks after her argument with Edward, packing up and leaving without another word.
It had been months of silence before Edward made the decision to leave Bella. The Cullen family had moved to New York City, making new lives for themselves in the bustling city.
Edward had retreated into himself, remaining silent most of the time and refusing to feed. He soon made the decision to travel to Rio to be by himself. Edward had always loved Rio and he hoped it would help him to feel better, but he felt nothing.
He stayed in the same clothes, feeding off rats in the dimly lit room he had come to call home. Edward was heartbroken, he knew it was the best thing for Bella, but he wasn't ready to let her go.
Carlisle knew that his son was suffering and that is what brought him to Y/N's doorstep. She could be abrasive and uncaring at times, but a tender approach wasn't what Edward needed right now. Y/N had always been able to get through to Edward, her methods may have been unorthodox, but they certainly yielded results.
Carlisle rounded the corner, slowing to a stop when he spotted her. Y/N was lounging in a plush black armchair as she read from her book that was balanced on the arm.
"Hello, Carlisle. Still above knocking before walking into someone's home, I see," Y/N said without looking up from the words on the page.
"I didn't think you would open the door if I knocked," Carlisle replied.
"Probably not," Y/N stated, flipping the page.
"We need you help," Carlisle said.
"With what?" Y/N asked, not bothering to keep the disinterest out of her voice.
"The family has left Forks," Carlisle stated.
Y/N hesitated, eyes finally lifting to stare at him, "Why?" She asked.
"Edward has chosen to leave Bella for her own safety," Carlisle said.
Y/N scoffed, flipping the page of her book, "He is distraught and he could benefit from your friendship at this time," Carlisle said.
"I don't care what he could benefit from," Y/N deadpanned.
"Alice is worried. She thinks that he may try and do something to harm himself," Carlisle said, hoping to make her understand the severity of the situation.
"Good. I hope he gets creative," Y/N said.
"Y/N, he needs you," Carlisle pressed.
"No, he doesn't. He made that very clear," Y/N snapped, shutting her book and standing up from her seat.
"He is your family," Carlisle said, following after her as she walked out of the room.
"Is there a reason that you are still speaking to me about this, Carlisle?" Y/N questioned setting her book down on the kitchen counter.
"No one else has been able to get through to him. He has isolated himself from the family and he isn't feeding," Carlisle said.
"I don't care, Carlisle. I have said my piece about his relationship with that human and he refused to hear it. Edward brought this on himself and he should have to deal with the fallout of his own decisions," Y/N stated.
"Even if he chooses to forfeit his own life?" Carlisle questioned.
"Even then," Y/N said, walking off into the apartment and slamming one of the doors behind herself.
...
Edward sat on the dirty floor in his room, watching the sun rise and set over Rio while his body wasted away. He was miserable and he wanted nothing more than to return to Forks. Edward wanted to take Bella into his arms and tell her that he was wrong to leave her, but he wasn't. Y/N was right and they would only have a limited amount of time together before her eventual death.
He would lose her at one point or another and he knew that he wouldn't be able to handle the loss if he stayed with her. It was better to cut it off and hurt now than to grow their connection and lose it later on.
Edward hoped that Bella would move on and live a happy human life without him. Maybe she would find a nice human boy to create a life with, it would be better for her. Bella could have kids, grow old and live the life that she was always meant to live. Edward meant it when he said that she didn't belong in his world.
There would always be a small part of him that wondered if she loved him because of what he could offer her. He wouldn't be able to stomach it if their relationship was purely based on the irresistible effect that Vampires had on humans or the appeal of eternal life.
Edward hoped that he would just die.
No amount of blood could change how empty he felt inside and he just wanted to waste away until there was nothing left. Edward called the family recently to let them know he was alright, he had been calling them once a month. If he were to perish in this room, laying on the dirty floor, it could take his family a bit of time to wonder what happened. That was only if Alice didn't forsee his decision to die before he had a chance to act on it.
"Well, how the mighty have fallen," Someone said.
Edward's brow furrowed, he hadn't heard anyone enter his room over the whirlwind of his thoughts. If it were an enemy, he would be dead, not that he would protest to a swift and merciful death at this point.
Y/N stood in front of him, her expensive clothing feeling out of place in the dirty room. She stared down at him, examining his torn clothing and the dark bags under his eyes.
"I caught your dinner for you," Y/N stated, tossing the body of a rat down on the floor in front of him.
The blood made him ravenous and he dove onto it quickly with a growl, sucking down every drop of blood the creature had to offer.
Y/N watched him with a smirk, "When Carlisle told me how quickly everything had fallen apart for you in Forks I almost didn't believe him," Y/N said.
"What do you want?" Edward snapped, wiping his mouth on his sleeve.
"Come with me," Y/N said.
"I'm not leaving," Edward said firmly, shaking his head.
"Well, I'm not staying here... Get up and come with me," She commanded.
Edward got to his feet quickly, gritting his teeth as he tried to resist her instructions.
"All you've had to eat in weeks is that rat that I tossed at your feet. Resisting me now is just a waste of energy and you know that," Y/N said, already making her way out of the room.
...
Edward stared out the window of the large suite in the hotel Y/N had been staying in. He had showered and Y/N gave him a change of clothes. He didn't want them. He wanted to keep the torn and dirty clothing that he had been wearing. The fabric still carried Bella's scent and he hated that Y/N had forced him to part with it.
Bella was gone. She was absent from every part of him and it suddenly felt like the wound had reopened again. Edward watched over the Rio skyline, body sitting rigid in the chair as he waited for Y/N to return from wherever she had gone.
There was no chance that her coming to his rescue was without motive. She wanted something and he needed to know what it was. Edward's life had already fallen apart, there was nothing left for her to take from him.
Y/N stepped into the suite, heeled boots clicking against the floor as she made her way towards him.
"Well, you certainly look better," She stated, tossing her purse down on the bed.
"What do you want, Y/N?" Edward asked, keeping his focus on the world outside the window.
"Carlisle came to find me and told me that you left the human," Y/N said.
"Her name is Bella," Edward snapped.
Y/N huffed, sitting down in the armchair across from him, "You haven't even known her for a year, Edward. This is a bit melodramatic, even for you," Y/N said.
"I love her," He stated, looking over at Y/N.
"Loved... You loved her. And now you left her and I'm sure she'll be much better off without you," Y/N said.
"I know that," Edward muttered, eyes falling to the floor between them.
"If you know that then why are you holding onto her. You're smarter than this, Edward," Y/N said.
"I can't just turn off my affections for her. I'm not callous like you are," He snapped.
Y/N scoffed, sitting back in her chair, "No wonder Carlisle came to me. You are being ridiculous about this, she is just a girl. Were you ever going to change her?" Y/N asked.
"No, but-," "If you had stayed, you were going to lose her anyway. You were going to remain the same, never growing older, while you watched time steal away the one you love. That girl will wrinkle and become decrepit right in front of you. If you're lucky an illness will take her while she's young, that way you won't have to watch her lose the ability to walk or care for herself. Humanity is ugly and you have spared yourself from that ugliness. Move on and pull yourself together," Y/N said, standing from her chair.
Edward watched her, hate burning like the hottest fire within him. Edward despised the way that she spoke about Bella, but he knew that she was right.
Y/N lifted her suitcase up onto the bench, placing her things inside, "What are you doing?" Edward questioned.
"Packing. You can do whatever you want, the room is paid for until the end of the month," Y/N said, closing the lid and zipping it shut.
"Where are you going to go?" Edward asked.
"Carlisle found me in New York which means it's time to move elsewhere. This family is suffocating me," She huffed.
"I appreciate you coming to find me," Edward admitted softly.
"I know that nothing I said is going to change anything for you and I am not interested in trying to get my point across anymore. Just know that if you're going to off yourself, Alice is already watching your decisions and she will step in if she deems it necessary," Y/N said.
"Why would you tell me that?" Edward asked.
"You have your own free will. If you want to die, you should be able to decide how you go," Y/N stated, setting her suitcase on the floor and pulling up the retractable handle. She grabbed her purse from the bed, slinging the strap over her shoulder.
"I'm sorry for hurting you. I understand how you felt now," Edward said.
"No, you don't... I don't think you ever will," Y/N said, making her way out of the hotel room.

hi !! i absolutely love your work and headcannons sm<3
i'm not sure if smth like this has been asked already, but can you do cullen w/ a "bella?" As in, a human they meet that is their singer + particularly interests them, whether that be because a limitation to their power (like bella w edward) or something similar.
idk if that really makes sense but thank you !!
The Cullens meeting their Blood Singer
I think I understand what you mean, so don't worry!
Also I just got my acrylics off after having them for months and guys it is so nice to be able to feel the keys while I type lol
Also I only applied the power limitation thing to Edward, Alice, Jasper, and Bella since they're the only ones with a power lol. For the others I just went with the reader being a blood singer.
Thank you for requesting and I hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Edward:
He's already met Bella, but it's said in the books that vampires can have multiple singers
So even though he's been through this before, that doesn't mean that meeting you is any easier
And the deja vu is crazy when he realizes that he can't read your thoughts either
He's like seriously this again
Even though he tries his best to stay away from you, he knows he can't
He accepts it easier this time
And after all of his practice with Bella, he is much less of a danger to you
He is pretty frustrated though
Like seriously he has to fall in love with someone whose mind he can't read again
It's like his own personal curse
Just like with Bella though, he does get used to your scent
And even though he's upset about the fact that he can't use his ability on you, he copes
Tumblr media
Alice:
Throughout the series, there are multiple instances where her power has been blocked by people
The wolves, namely
So when she encounters you she is shocked to say the least
She's never witnessed this power in a human before
Not to mention the fact that you smell so delicious
She needs a second to lie down
Unlike the wolves, your power only affects you when you're human
Similar to Bella's
She is exasperated though
Not only did she not foresee you entering her life because of your ability, but she also can't see any of your future
You tripped and fell once and she didn't know that it was going to happen and she was so upset
But as far as you being a singer for her, she's not too bothered
She has pretty good self control so she's able to be around you with little to no difficulty
When she does eventually turn you though you're gonna need to turn off your ability cause she is over it rn
Tumblr media
Jasper:
It's a bit touchy for a while
Alice foresaw your arrival and warned Jasper so that he could be prepared
That still didn't properly prepare him for how good you would smell
It takes him a while to not want to kill you
And you have to be super careful not to bleed at all around him
As far as your ability, he has never once met someone who was immune to him
Even Bella's shield was susceptible to him
Carlisle guessed that yours is more of a physical shield than a mental one
Either way he finds it so odd
And a little bit of an inconvenience
But he doesn't use his ability too often on people he knows so it's not that big of a deal
His main concern is not killing you
Tumblr media
Rosalie:
Her and Emmett have traveled a lot
So chances are she has probably met a singer before
Only in the past she just flees as fast as she can
Not because she's worried she'll kill them, but mostly just because she doesn't want to deal with that
But there's something different about you
Call it love at first sight
She doesn't struggle too much around you
She's never tasted human blood after all, so her self-control is unmatched
She's pretty hesitant about getting in a relationship with you though
She's worried about what would happen if you accidentally cut yourself or something
She doesn't know if she would be able to stop herself
But she learns to trust herself eventually
Tumblr media
Emmett:
Uhm
His first instinct is to kill you
He's done it before
It's mentioned in the books that he has killed 2 or 3 of his blood singers in the past
That's why he tells Edward to just kill and eat Bella
But again there's something different about you
He just feels the strong desire to keep you alive
And so he does
But not without some trouble
Since he's always given into his desires in the past, it's super difficult to deny himself
So it takes a while
But he does push past it eventually
Tumblr media
Esme:
She's been with Carlisle her whole life, so her craving have always been controlled
But she feels like a newborn again when she smells you
You're the best thing she's ever smelled, it makes her want to pounce
She goes to Carlisle first
He helps her to control herself and then she finally introduces herself to you
It's super difficult for her
But she loves you
She loves the way you smell, even if she can't have it
And yes she does have a bit of a crisis when she starts to fall in love with you because she thought Carlisle was the only one for her
Waiter I will take my blood singer with a side of angst and existentialism
Tumblr media
Carlisle:
He's definitely met a blood singer in the past
He's over 400 years old I'd be more surprised if he hadn't
And because he has had so long to wear down his senses and control them better
He's like a vegan smelling a steak
He can appreciate that it smells good, but he won't eat it
Translating that over to you, he can tell instantly that you are his blood singer, but he will not indulge
There was one instance, though, where you scraped your knee and he had to excuse himself from the room
He felt so bad and apologized profusely afterwards
But you understood
It takes him a while to recover from that
I mean, that's the first time he's really felt such a strong desire to drink human blood in over 300 years
But he gets acclimated to the smell of you after a while so he's okay
Tumblr media
Vampire! Bella:
She knew only the surface level of the impact that she used to have on Edward
She watched him struggle, but she never knew how bad it was
Still being so young, her first instinct was to pounce on you in the school hallway
But with Edward and Carlisle's help she was able to control herself
She still struggles a bit, but she's getting better every day
As for your ability, she is frustrated
Now she understands why Edward was so upset about not being able to read her mind
You have the ability to cut through her mind defenses
As a human your ability is very sporadic
You subconsciously send various thoughts of yours straight into her head and it's jarring
You don't even know you're doing it
Even when she strengthens her defenses, you still push through like it's nothing
She apologizes to Edward

“You’re Not a Monster”
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jasper x Reader TW: Blood Y/N: They/Them vampire reader. Word Count: 830 Summary: Jasper struggles with his thirst when Bella accidentally cuts her finger on a present. Edward declares that they must relocate to ensure Bella's safety, and Carlisle agrees. Jasper admits to feeling unfulfilled after the tragic mistake, but Alice reassures him that he is still learning and that it's okay to make mistakes.
Tumblr media
Y/N POV:
“This one’s from Emmett” Alice confidently declared as she handed over the beautifully wrapped box. Our youngest sibling, Edward, had finally found himself a girlfriend and Alice had organized an extravagant 18th birthday celebration for her. While I had my opinions about the choice, given Jasper's current struggles with his thirst, Alice's enthusiasm more than made up for it.
As I watched my sister jump up and down with excitement, I was completely absorbed in the moment. Little did I know, Bella had cut her finger on the present Alice had given her. It wasn't until Jasper had already lunged forward and landed on the broken piano that I snapped out of my trance. Without hesitation, I rushed over to my brother and father who held him back. "Jasper, everything is going to be alright" I reassured him with confidence. Alice chimed in, attempting to calm him down and divert his attention from Bella's injury. Unfortunately, Bella's situation was far more severe, with her entire arm now bleeding from being pushed by Edward to avoid Jasper's path.
Tumblr media
(KITCHEN)
"Close the door now!" Rosalie commanded. "Emmett, go get him an animal to drink. I warned you, Alice, this was a terrible idea, especially with Jasper in such a thirsty state that his eyes have turned black." While my sisters argued and my brother hurried into the woods, I took charge of Jasper's care. Approaching him, I couldn't help but feel sorry for his current condition.
"Don't worry, Y/N. I trust you to take care of him," Carlisle stated firmly before leaving the room. As Edward and Esme entered, he added, "we’ll have a discussion once Bella is safely home. We'll figure things out." My blonde-haired sister whipped around as she turned to Edward, blaming him for the situation. "Your love for a human has failed we’re probably going to have to move again.”
I have always stayed out of my siblings' fights, but their constant bickering has finally taken a toll on me. I cannot stand to see how it is affecting Jasper. "Enough with the fighting already! Let whatever is going to happen, happen. Why are we even discussing this?" I confidently stated. I am exhausted and fully aware of how my siblings viewed Jasper before. I cannot even imagine how they see him now, after he attempted to kill Bella.
"I take full responsibility for this. It's all on me," Jasper declared, though he couldn't hide the tears of regret streaming down his face. Alice comforted him, assuring him that it was simply his natural instincts and the fact that he hadn't had a chance to feed all day.
"Relax, bro. We've got this covered. Take a sip of this and let's plan our next hunting trip," Emmett reassured him. We were caught off guard by his sudden return, as he confidently handed the fresh kill to Jasper, who eagerly drained it.
"Let's get down to business. Bella's father has safely taken her home," Carlisle announced as he strode into the kitchen. "There's no need for discussion, Carlisle. We all know what we have to do. We must relocate to ensure Bella's safety," Edward declared, his head held low. "I understand this is a difficult decision, son. But it's the only option we have left," Carlisle replied firmly.
“Do we really have to leave pops? I was starting to like it here” Emmett said. “I'm confident we'll thrive wherever we go," Rosalie reassured him. "Isle Esme would be a fantastic option. It's stunningly beautiful," Alice chimed in, her hand still soothingly stroking Jasper's hair.

JASPER POV: (Jasper’s Room)
“With no school to worry about, we can have a blast every day of the week. The beach is my absolute favorite place to be, the sun makes my skin glow, and I just can't get enough of it," Y/N exclaimed confidently as they lounged on my bed. Meanwhile, Alice was busy packing my bags, as she always insisted on doing it better than me.
“I don't know how to have fun anymore," I confessed, sinking onto my bed beside Y/N. They leaned into me, resting their head on my shoulder. "I mean, how can I enjoy myself when I've done something so unforgivable?"
3RD POV:
Jasper's words hung heavy in the air, but Alice was quick to offer reassurance. "You're still learning, Jasper. We've all been where you are, made mistakes and had to face the consequences. It's okay to stumble and fall, as long as you pick yourself back up and keep moving forward."
“Jaz, my dear, Alice is absolutely right. You're carrying a heavy burden on your conscience. But listen, we're not just mindless creatures of nature. Our personalities and souls are what make us truly human, even if our hearts no longer beat. I have no doubt that our souls far outweigh any vampire tendencies we may have. Anyone who takes the time to get to know us will see that." As soon as those words left Y/N’s lips, something inside Jasper stirred.

I’m sorry this one wasn’t as long as the past one, but it was just as fun to make, I hope you guys like it just as much.

The ending didn’t come out like it did the first time I typed this up but it’s close to the original I had worked on last night 🙃
Shocked wasn’t enough to describe the jolt Jacob received when he opened his front door and found Bella. The last bit of hope that imprinting on the witch had just been a dream was quickly eliminated. Standing before him was the love of his life, yet he didn’t feel that same giddiness he once felt with Bella’s presence. That terrified him more than anything; how quickly imprinting changed one’s life.
Behind her on the dirt driveway was a small, tan car. Probably here replacement for her red truck that was totaled when Riley took her. Late in the day, the sky is already casting the world in a pink and orange haze.“Sorry to show up unannounced.” He can tell Bella immediately wanted to nervously chew on her bottom lip as she was prone to do but stopped herself. Subtle changes could be seen on her. She’d been spending time reflecting on herself and really thinking of what she wants in life.
“No, it’s okay.” Jacob steps aside to let her in. Bella hesitated for a heartbeat before walking through. I guess it has been a while since she’s come over.
They go to his room which feel so small now that there was another person occupying it.
He hated this strange feeling. It made him not know how to act in front of her. Like she was a complete stranger to him now and not the girl he'd been mooning over for years. Jacob watches her in a queer way as she perched herself on the edge of his bed. "How has the pack been?"
"Good. (y/n) and Edward left with the Denali couple to drive them back to Alaska." He noticed the flash of momentary hurt on Bella's face before she regains composure and nods.
"I remember them saying they'd be leaving soon." They hadn't spoken about her meeting with them. Jacob had been too focused on what was happening with him and how, even though he was in his human skin, he could still smell Evita's citrus scent that beckoned him to go to Sam's. The alpha had warned Jacob though about scaring her off before she was able to finish the wards that was to protect them from hostile creatures.
“They left last night and should be back in a few hours from the text she sent to our group chat.” Jacob shrugs. “
At that, Bella actually smiles. “I wouldn’t doubt it. Edward drives really fast. Even Alice does too. It must be a vampire thing.”
He tried to think of something else to say, anything to make his life feel normal again. There had been nothing normal about his life though. His mouth was dry and tongue heavy. How could he go on pretending everything was okay? Not to mention he couldn’t imagine how Bella would feel once she learned that another guy who she deeply cared about was taken because of imprinting once again. Her wounds were still healing from her breakup with Edward. It would crush Bella. Jacob may have imprinted on Evita, but he still cared for her greatly. Just not romantically, not anymore.
By the blessing of those above, a tremor in the air gripped Jacob and Bella. The hairs on the back of her neck stand at the tingling that was rushing through her. “Wh. . . What is that?”
The strong aroma of orange blossoms fills his nostril.
Evita.
This had to be Evita’s magic swirling in the air. It riled up the wolf in him, making Jacob want to spring into action. Were it not for Bella being present, he might have leapt through his window and run to Sam’s house where he knew the witch was staying for the meantime.
Underneath his skin, the animal trembled and agitated him from the inside where he felt uncomfortable in his human flesh.
Inhaling deeply, Jacob closed his eyes to steady his breathing which had quickened. “Magic.”
Bella does a double take. “Magic?”
He stumbles over his words but manages to get Bella up to date on what had been going on in La Push. Even Jacob felt silly about the things he said out loud to her, all of this sounded so unreal yet that’s what his life had become.
The air was still fluctuating with that sharp orange smell and Jacob could spot goosebumps rising on Bella’s arms as an after effect to nearby magic.
“Can I meet her?”
“You want to meet her?” Yes, a reason to see Evita! His wolf rejoiced that he’d finally be able to be near her again despite Jacob’s efforts to ignore it.
Bella doesn’t waver. “Yes. If she’s here to protect the town then I feel like I owe it to her to introduce myself. This. . . This is my fault after all.”
“Stop saying that.” Jacob hated how she pinned the blame of all of the events that had led up to Evita’s arrival. “It’s not you’re fault. Something like this was bound to happen ever since the Cullens came to town decades ago.
“Regardless,” Bella sighed. “I want to meet her.”
That’s how they end up in Bella’s tan Corolla, the small car sped through the empty streets of La Push to get to Sam’s cabin. The drive was overall quiet considering both of them were off in their own little worlds; questioning what they had felt in his room when Evita’s magic swept up their senses into a flurry. The wolf’s eagerness to be near it’s mate was unfathomable as Jacob felt his hands beading with perspiration.
He wasn’t ready to see Evita. Not yet. There was no way Jacob could trust himself to keep his imprinting a secret from Bella if Evita is near.
And Bella, her skin still hadn’t stopped shivering with an odd delight; the back of her neck continued to tingle through her neck and spine. She couldn’t begin to describe the experience. Jacob had called it magic.
The drive didn’t take long, Jacob and Bella were great up for that as Bella’s car pulled to a stop in front of Sam’s cabin. Excited chatter could be heard streaming through from the inside of the house.
Bella gets out of the car first allowing Jacob a few seconds to himself to calm the roaring wave of his heartbeat.
Breathing in a deep inhale, Jacob unbuckles his belt and pushed open the car door.
Smoke from Sam’s chimney twirls out in long ribbons against the mystical color pallet that sunsets are composed of.
From a fluttering curtain in a window, a face briefly appeared and spotted the two of them as they walk up to Sam’s porch. In but a few seconds does Paul open the door to great them. His eyes narrow with caution that confused Bella. Instantly a tension spoiled the air and the house grew quiet.
“Jacob. Bella.” Paul casually greeted but there was a strain to his voice. “Fancy seeing you guys here.”
“We came here to see Evita’s witchcraft.” Jacob is quick to say, hopeful that Paul would buy the reason for it was true.
“We felt the aftershocks and I asked Jacob to take me to meet her.” Explained Bella.
That made Paul’s eyes round. “Aftershocks?”
Sam appeared behind him. “Come in.” He merely instructed and had Paul step aside. “Jacob, stay in the back with me.”
Sam’s living room was crowded with other members of the pack and was wholly transformed into a candlelit space for witchcraft. His usual furniture was gone and in their place were an array of strange and arcane objects. The light from the fireplace made shadows flicker against the walls and distort the shadowy figures of those present.
Everyone leaned in yet kept themselves from straying too far into the circle that Evita had made on the ground.
A small bowl of herbs are slowly catching ablaze by the beckoning of her foreign words. Bella saw with her own eyes a river stone crumble all by itself into fine dust that is carried on an invisible wind and into Evita’s clasped hands. The delicate skin of her wrists appear paper thin as even Bella could see the many lines and rivers of her veins. They looked like they were made of lightening as they burned from under her skin.
Her lips move rapidly in her incantation, and as her words carried into the room, the energy shifted. Candlelight made the dark sway.
Entranced were the rest of the pack as they held their breathing, taking in the wondrous sight before them.
More sharp spices fill the air along with Evita’s citrus scent.
Jacob couldn’t tear his eyes off of her wild and flying curls that whip around her face that was lined with painful looking scars. To Jacob though, the dark scars that run along her face accentuate her fine cheekbones and full lips. A spatter of freckles add to her charm.
The wild wind of energy that had been swirling around her seem to fall away. Time itself felt like it froze.
Multiple breaths that had been held in up until that point exhale with an edge of relief. Her spell was complete.
When the candles are blown out by the dying breath of her magic, Sam slowly turns on the electronic lights of his house. Sitting in the middle of the living room was a pale Evita. Slowly she removes her top hand to reveal an object the size of a quarter and equally flat.
The color of it was the glittering shade of emerald. A warmth eminated from it.
Weary from her efforts, Evita explained with a tired voice “I have five more of these to make. They are to be distributed throughout Forks and La Push. The ward is this small so that it won’t be easily spotted by your enemies. We must bury them at six specific points. About a foot into the ground.” She passed it to Jared who held it with reverence. The ward made it’s way around the pack as they ‘ooed’ and ‘awwed’.
Leah and Seth gather around Evita to help her up and into Sam’s bedroom where she was regain her strength.
Jacob followed the trio with his eyes, unable to follow them thanks to Sam.
While Bella hadn’t been able to be properly introduced to Evita, the visit had been worthwhile. She’d never imagined that magic would look quite like that or that it would feel so intense.
When everyone had a chance to examine the ward, Paul snatched it from Collin’s hands. “This is to be put somewhere with the highest security. This may not look like much but it is essential if we want to keep our territory safe.”
This was not fun and games.
Sam put a hand on Jacob’s shoulder, alerting him it was time for him to go. “She’ll be alright. She warned me ahead of time that this would take a toll on her energy. Proper sleep and food will do her good.”
If Sam hadn’t been Jacob’s alpha, who knows what he would have done. Any other wolf would consider Sam’s posturing as getting in between Jacob and his mate. Hell hath no fury like a wolf being kept apart from their imprintee.
Jacob was still experiencing a heady daze and thankfully didn’t put up much of a fight as he taps Bella’s arm to get her attention. She was still staring at where Evita had been creating her ward.
The simple physical contact coaxed her back to her senses and they slink to the front door. Both too stunned to utter a parting word to anyone.
Bella didn’t know how long they’d been there, but instead of the fuchsia clouds that were highlighted with orange there was now a vast sky filled with stars.
Stars were dull though in comparison to the headlights on Edward’s car that shined right at them.

“Go enjoy a day out with your friends.” Carlisle urged her
“You’re not gonna stop until you make me agree, aren’t you?” Stella asked, her eyebrows raised at him
“Yes.” Carlisle giggled
“Fine.” Stella agreed, rolling her eyes at her persistent vegetarian vampire
And that might have been Stella’s worst mistake.
Her friends, people she’s met at Carlisle’s work and in her small flower boutique, had invited her out for a night of drinking. Stella wasn’t gonna be joining at first, but Carlisle persisted in convincing her to do so.
When she got home the next morning, she was confused as to why no one greeted her when she entered the house. Or as to why the house was empty in the first place. It was an unusually sunny day in Forks and she doubted that any of the Cullens would willingly step out the house in fear of exposing their secret
There was a growing pit in her stomach that was bothering her as she rushes back to the car and drove to Bella’s house, possibly knowing that Bella has some answers to her question
Parking in front of Bella’s truck, she quickly knocked in the house, and waited for someone to open the door. Chief Swan opened it for her, and she knew she had to explain the situation to him
“Is Bella here?” She asked, controlling every sense of nervousness in her in an attempt to look collected
“Upstairs, but I doubt she wants some—
She didn’t let Charlie finish talking and rushed to Bella’s room. Where she was staring quietly on the window of her room. Waiting for something, or someone perhaps
“Bella.” Stella quietly called, sitting on her bed
“You’re here.” Bella said, having some sense of hope in her eyes
“They’re not with me.” Stella confessed immediately, watching as the small spark of hope in Bella’s eyes disappear
“They—” Bella asked, realizing what the Cullens have done “—They left you too?”
“Left?” Stella asked
“They left.” Bella said, answering the growing suspicion that she had “Edward said that he didn’t want me anymore.”
Stella could only laugh at what was going on. Carlisle had never left her before, and she had never had the thought that it might happen. Maybe this was her long-awaited punishment for abandoning Sam without hesitation and joining Carlisle instead. Perhaps this was fate's twisted way of telling her that Carlisle isn't her mate. Whatever it was, she could only laugh at herself for allowing herself to let down her guard and trust them.
~~
“I heard what you did.” Stella said, sitting down on her couch as she passes Bella a glass of wine
“I don’t want any—
“If you want that sort of adrenaline rush so bad, then I’ll help you!” Stella scolded “At least have someone that you know help you with your decisions.”
“I can’t—
“It’s safer if I accompany you. We’ll do things together, hell, I’ll even get you to cliff jump with me and you’ll be safe.” Stella continued “Ju-just don’t do this to yourself alone Bella. You don’t deserve this.”
“And you don’t deserve this either.” Bella softly argued “They shouldn’t have left you to deal with me. You came with them; you should have left with them too.”
“But they did, didn’t they?” Stella hissed “They left us alone, Bella. And it’s about time that we accept fully that the people we love can and will just do that.”
Stella has never dropped the word ‘love’ when talking about the Cullens in fear that the magic within her would count it as an offering. She needed to be careful, not wanting to hurt any of them. But now that they’ve hurt her, it’s only fair that she could get them back somehow.
“You know what they are? They’re filthy, self-centered liars that never thought of anyone else other than themselves!” She continued, doing her best to conceal her tears. She needed to be strong, for both her and Bella “They’re selfish! And vile! And mean! And everything that a typical vampire would be!”
“Starting tomorrow, we’re gonna do a shit ton of crazy things together.” Stella announced, putting down her wine glass “You want to drink? Then we’ll get bat shit drunk together. Want to carelessly drive? I’ll take you to where I’ve been doing that. Want to kill someone? I’ll do a bit of my magic to allow you to do so. We’re going to do this together. We’re going to deal with this together.”
“Can we visit Jake tomorrow?” Bella shyly asked. Stella didn’t like the wolves’ scent but she agreed, giving Bella her freedom to do whatever she wants
~~
“Bella!” Stella called, rushing in the Cullen’s house the moment her gut feeling told her that she was there after doing something stupid
“You did something!” Stella yelled “Without me! I told you we’d do this together!”
“Do this together?” A familiar sweet voice asked
“Alice?” Stella called, putting Bella behind her in case it was some trick
“She’s here, she’s real.” Bella assured her once Alice stepped out to reveal herself
“Jacob.” Stella said, smelling the wolves’ scent “He’s here.”
“I couldn’t help myself.” Jacob said
“Alice, let’s go have a chat really quick.” Stella invited, sensing that the two needed a chat on their own. They quickly stepped out the house
“Who initiated the leaving?” Stella asked
“Edward.” Alice answered immediately, knowing that angering this certain witch with her won’t do any good at that moment
“Why leave me?” She asked again
“Carlisle wanted you safe and in peace.” Alice answered quicker than how she did the first one “Thought that Forks was the town you needed for it.”
Stella could only feel enraged when she founded out the truth. The very vampire that she fully trusted was the sole reason why she was in pain.
“We really didn’t want to leave you behind. Please know that.” Alice started “Even Edward knew that you were needed there with us. But Carlisle’s decision was set.”
“Send him this particular message when you see him again, will you?” Stella asked. Alice nodded and waited for her message “Fuck you.”
“That’s harsh.” Alice said, before seeing the death glare on Stella’s face “And well deserved, I supposed.”
~~
In the airport, Stella was looking forward to seeing Bella and the Cullens. She was simply doing it to see Rosalie again since she had missed her. Or at least that's what she told herself was the reason she was there as it was unavoidable that she would run into Carlisle after seeing Rosalie.
She missed him.
No, she didn’t.
He’s dead to her.
“Stella.” Bella called out, getting her to see them all again. Stella rushed to her, pulling Bella in for a tight hug
“You’re alive.” She muttered as she pulled away from the hug
“Yeah, I am.” Bella said, rubbing her back
“Rosie.” Stella said, averting her attention from Bella to Rosalie, who was anxious in seeing her again
Stella went and hugged Rosalie, resting her head on his shoulders and feeling the cold touch that all vampires shared. Reminding her that someone spent multiple centuries helping her when she was in need to be cooled down, physically and mentally. And was the exact same person that left her, turning her into the cold, untrusting witch that she is now
Carlisle watched as Stella hugged everyone. Everyone except him and Edward. When they left her, he knew what sort of treatment he would get from Stella. And he was deeply regretting even thinking of leaving her. But what could he do? He was scared. Every time Carlisle would look into the witch’s grey eyes, the same grey eyes that he wanted to get lost in all those decades ago, he would only see how lifeless she looked at that moment. That moment where a vampire’s venom, something that he had in his system, overpowered his confident witch.
He was reminded, that someone like him was the reason why she was in deep pain at that moment.
A vampire like him was the reason why his Stella was in pain.
“Let’s take you home.” Rosalie invited her
“I don’t live there anymore.” Stella quickly declined
“Spend the night?” Rosalie invited her again. Knowing Rosalie was in denial about the possibility of not being able to have Stella around in the same manner she had before saddened Carlisle. And he was the one who was at fault.
“I made plans with Charlie.” Stella said, shaking her head no at her offer.
Carlisle knew that if he had been human at the time, his heart would have missed a beat, and he would have felt his heart drop
He was losing her.
To a human.
“Dad?” Bella asked
“Yeah, asked him out for a friendly dinner. Someone needed to give some information to him. Even if it’s not the truth.” Stella answered “And possibly clean the Cullens name to him as well, who knows.”
Carlisle was at ease, hearing the friendly dinner come out of Stella’s mouth. He wanted, no, needed, a second chance. A second chance to prove that he’ll never leave her. A second chance to show her that he is worthy of her love.
Just a second chance.
Because he was a coward in his first one.
“You don’t have to do that.” Carlisle said quietly, shocking everyone “We’ll explain our sudden disappearance ourselves. You don’t have to do that for us anymore.”
“I’m doing it for Bella.” Stella coldly said, shocking everyone with them. “Not everything is about you anymore.”
Everyone was aware of Carlisle and Stella's quick reconciliation. They were curious as to how upset Stella was at their leaving after seeing how cold she was with Carlisle. Or if it was just with Carlisle.
“Let’s go home.” Edward invited to everyone, knowing that the atmosphere between all of them was getting thicker as they spend more time together
The coven members knew that at that moment, they needed to act for their coven leader and his confident witch
“I told Charlie that you were with me.” Stella told Bella; it didn’t take much to figure out that she wanted to leave already, only doing what she told Charlie
“I-I’ll come home with Edward.” Bella answered to her “You should get some rest yourself. Looks like you haven’t slept properly.”
“Of course, I haven’t slept properly.” Stella hissed at her “Don’t act like you’ve gotten sleep much more than I did.”
~~
Carlisle went to stay near where Stella has decided to reside. It was a small house, just enough for her. Much, much different from the Cullen’s house. He was going mad from his own actions. He needed to do something.
He made the decision to lurk when he smelled her blood when she picked Bella up from the airport. It was different, but still as intoxicating as it was when they first met. It meant that she was doing something, anything, to forget them.
Edward hid what Carlisle was doing to everyone, lying and saying that he was picking up more shift because he couldn’t be in a house without Stella.
He’d leave when he had shifts, only to come back with a stray animal always in the place where he stays. He had a feeling that Stella knew what he was doing, and was just too kind to kick her out.
He’d sit next to her when she was asleep, admiring her calm and resting nature. He’d leave just before she woke up, making sure that he’d leave her room the same way as he got in it.
After almost a week of lurking, Carlisle noticed a change in Stella’s blood. It was slowly starting to smell like before. She had dropped whatever she was doing to herself and it was making an effect.
After a shift, he has made his way back to his usual spot, only to see a deer for him to feast on, but it had a note attached on its antlers.
‘Talk to me in person instead of lurking like some stalker – Your Stella’
Stella knew what Carlisle had been doing, she’d been hyperaware of her surroundings after an attempted attack from Laurent. She decided that she was gonna ask him to leave then and there but his presence calmed her. Even though there was a distance between the two.
She decided that she’ll do it tomorrow. She just really needed this one night of peace.
She didn’t wake up to any nightmares that day.
On the day that she has decided that he’ll ask Carlisle to leave, she felt his thirst. He’s stayed there without leaving like she was some princess and he was a guard protecting her and immediately went to the hospital for his shift. She quickly went to the forest, finding a deer to offer for him to feast on.
‘An offering,’ she convinced herself.
‘It’s not like she cared,’ she added.
Stella knew that Carlisle sneaks in her room when she goes to sleep. She wanted to call him out, yell at him to leave. But his presence calmed her, she didn’t know what he had done to her, but she’s suffered too much already. It wouldn’t hurt if she was to use him for herself.
She stopped meeting with those sketchy guys at alleyways after being in the flower shop, wanting to clean her blood.
‘Maybe if she cleaned her system, Carlisle would leave her alone,’ she convinced herself again, adding that to the list of lies that she’s said this past week alone.
The one night that she noticed that Carlisle wasn’t near her place, the guys from the alleyways came to her place, asking why hasn’t she visited them. She lied, said that she felt sick. They’re suddenly starstruck by something behind her, they quickly bid her thank you’s and goodbyes before running away from her house.
Carlisle scared those men. Stella wished she wasn’t so prideful so she could turn around and face him already, give him some sort of gratitude before asking him to stop lurking and just leave her alone. But she waited until he can make his exit, before turning around to “check” what had caused them to leave.
It was a sick game of catch, the one waiting for the other to slip up so they could call it quits and discuss, like proper grownups. Both Carlisle and Stella were careful and calculating, they were just waiting for the other to slip up.
But Stella wasn’t patient, she wanted to hear what he wanted to say.
She needed to hear it.
Grabbing one of the deer for his meal, she grabbed a note and stuck it on the deer’s antlers and called it a night.
‘Talk to me in person instead of lurking like some stalker – Your Stella’
~~
My Stella, I owe you a lot after our sudden disappearance. Never had I thought that our departure would cause such pain to you. I always saw you as a strong woman, much stronger than me I must say, so I just assumed. I should have given you at least a goodbye instead of cowering behind that night out. Leaving you has been my biggest mistake. I needed you every day. Just as much as you would have needed me. I messed up and I know that it’s beyond repair. I know that there is little to no chance that you would be able to forgive me, I would even say that I deserve to feel the wrath of your pain and anger because you experienced it. But I still want to apologize, for all the pain I’ve caused you. No words are enough to explain how sorry I feel for what I’ve done to you, and no words would be able to change your mind about your perception of us. But I believe that I owe you this apology. Take it as some sort of parting gift, I guess. I would understand if you would want to let go of what we had for the past 300 years, maybe even go back to Italy for Sam. I’m sure he will be delighted to see you again. Just tell him that I’ve taken you against your will, let me be damned among your kind. You deserve a life filled with peace and happiness. You deserve to live. You deserve to love and be loved. I wish that it could be me that gives you what you deserve. Yours truly, Your Carlisle
Carlisle reread the letter one last time, debating whether he’ll send it to her or not. If ever anyone from his family finds out that he’s hiding from talking to her in person with an email, he will be judged, especially with Stella offering that they could talk in person. But he didn’t have the heart to go face her, not when he figured out what Stella has done to herself in hopes of forgetting him.
Carlisle figured a lot of things out when they got home. Despite being a witch and being granted immortality, her body was still very human. Anything wrong that could happen in a human could happen to her, and she knew.
She was hurting herself, all because he was a coward.
He knew that he needed to let her go. He’s caused too much pain to Stella.
He deleted the last line of his message before sending it to her.
