Leonidas of Rhodes (Ancient Greek: Λεωνίδας ὁ Ῥόδιος; born 188 BC) was one of the most famous ancient Olympic runners. For four consecutive Olympiads (164–152 BC), he was champion of three foot races.

Leonidas is acclaimed by some to be the greatest sprinter of all time. Competing in the Olympic Games of the 154th Olympiad in 164 BC, the last of the "golden age" of the ancient Games, Leonidas captured the crown in three separate foot races: the stadion, the diaulos, and the hoplitodromos. He repeated this feat in the next three subsequent Olympics, in 160 BC, in 156 BC, and finally in 152 BC. Leonidas's lifetime record of twelve individual Olympic victory wreaths was unmatched in the ancient world.

There is very little biographical information about Leonidas, and no images of him survive. But his name - derived from the Greek word for lion - suggests he was a man of distinction. After his death, Leonidas was worshipped as a local deity in Rhodes. There, a statue of him displays the legend: "He had the speed of a God."

Let me preface this by saying I still think 2025 is very much on, but much as I do not want to think about it, if it does end up not happening, then the likelihood of Daniel retiring ... yeah it's there. And i think it goes back to what he said in 2022, that he's not here to just make up the numbers by racing at the back. He went back to red bull because he wanted the chance to drive that car again, and despite all the talk about whether he still has the Old Daniel in him, a man past his prime wouldn't have put the Alpha Tauri or the vcarb in p-fucking-4 twice. And despite him feeling he still very much have the hunger to be in this post, I think he'd bow out because he wanted the chance to be in the red bull and despite everything he did, he didn't get it and he's not about to waste his time and drive his reputation further into the ground by chasing another seat.

Okay this is the *actual* last comment, for real, but I just found out Spider is now smearing me as a convert and accusing me of being involved with drama I was not involved with because he mistakenly attributed my apologies for his public temper tantrum as being about something unrelated.

the fact that david tennant could barely see with the contacts in and it was always worse when he was wearing the sunglasses as well and when they were filming at night it was really really hard to see and then the fact that the only scene in which crowley has normal eyes, and thus nothing obstructing david's vision, is the opening scene with him and aziraphale in space. it makes me fucking insane because when you think about it, metatextually the only thing crowley has ever been able to truly see, without any trouble at all, is aziraphale

My personal theory / hope is the reason akechi isn't in a lot of spin offs is cause it's just kind of hard to do without like pivoting the story

But when akechi finally returns we wil be fed , cause to one pq2 enjoyer to another it made me go " woah this creative team really does have so so much love for these little characters "

He's too powerful, and his inclusion in any narrative focused on just the PT automatically puts him in the spotlight because he's such a scarce character that we can't help but rub our eyeballs all over every single scene he's in. Plus, too many things would get solved too easily. He looks at these tactics and just shoves Joker's and Makoto's strategies to the side and takes over. I'm kidding, I'm kidding.

I'm not really holding out hope for him coming back in anything unless they do something like Arena/Ultimax because I think tone-wise, post-Royal Goro wouldn't fit so easily into silly hijinks. I mean, I still think as a concept, that alone is hilarious, and I would love to see chibi Black Mask being an absolute bitch, but the likelihood is... slim. At the same time, I've absolutely been wrong before, and I welcome it. I think the ambiguity of his fate is something that fans really enjoy, and I completely understand the appeal of it, but I think that having him resurface a good while after the events of P5R would make more sense than something taking place just a few months later.
