SM single handedly ruined riize's career, riize worked so hard to build a stable fanbase in the past year but now the fandom is divided, the minority is loud in such a gruesome way, they want more and more control over riize, they are quite literally bullying riize, as soon as any of the members start to act in a way they dont want them to, they start to dismiss the members, both riize and we know that they bullied seunghan out of the grp and they could do the same to other members too. SM had so many better ways to handle this situation, seunghan shouldnt have been put on hiatus to begin with, they should have sued people, i mean riize's privacy was getting invaded even before their debut, like i was there and every other day somebody would post something true or not, sm should have taken the actions then,they shouldnt have made seunghan apologize 4 fucking times cause tht just played right how these 6ullies wanted it to be, it made them think tht they have over riize, it made seunghan feel like he was a burden to his grp, it should have never come to the funeral wreaths, but SM is fucking dumb. But even now? i am 99% sure if not 100% tht SM hasnt sued anyone yet and i dont think they will, removing seunghan not even after 2 days? but we have been loud for a whole month, yet they arent bringing him back. not my usual post (i’ve been busy w college since i had to take some time off due after hurting my back n now i’m behindddd 〣( ºΔº )〣) but i can’t stop thinking about seunghan; sitting and watching all of this unfold i just feel so lost and helpless.

as a predebut stan who followed the project to support sungtaro (with an older sister who was an smrookies fan, namely seunghan’s) i have always been a huge advocate for all seven members since their debut announcement. each and every one of them hold a special place in my heart and the memories i have of their earlier days are a treasure to me.

but, as i lie here reflecting on their journey from debut to now, i can only scrutinise and question. ‘how did it ever get this bad?’.

after the mishaps and mistreatment within nct, riize was the promised boygroup a lot of the members almost never received. it was a sparkling path forward for these idols and trainees who were for so long uncertain about their futures almost too good to be true. even in their somewhat ‘humble’ beginnings, their brotherhood was remarkable and undeniable; these boys had worked so hard to build a collective identity and image for themselves. revolving around their found family of seven, riize was (to me) the epitome of youth and friendship. from their music to their choreography and variety content, they remained synonymous as a promising young group of seven - a notion that by all means should remain despite what further changes may be in store.

throughout my entire adolescence i was bullied, threatened and harassed by adults and peers alike. though my experiences are worlds different from seunghan’s, i can confidently recount and express the immense isolation, loneliness and guilt that harbours within oneself when singled out in these situations. we are social creatures constantly seeking approval and acceptance from those around us; the human psyche is malleable and extremely susceptible towards externally projected negative emotions and criticism. right or wrong it will often play in favour of the loudest voices and strongest presence in the room. tldr, if you drill into someone’s head enough that they are the cause of their group’s failure and reputation, they will believe it regardless of its truthfulness. he was left alone, cornered and threatened until he felt he had no choice but to step down.

that being said, as much as i respect seunghan's decision/proposal to withdraw, i (and many other briize) are left in overwhelming contention over his mental state, worrying for his wellbeing and worrying for his brothers that were distanced from him during such a difficult time.

and now, as more time passes with no elaborated statement, clear resolution or response my anger towards his label and respective production team only festers. observing the state of the fandom it’s reasonable to expect some level of protest or backlash against his return, but to leave him privy to such graphic and horrific scenes - hundreds of funeral wreaths displayed in his name - and make no moves, not even a stir, to merely mitigate such a childish display of emotion is beyond unfathomable. as his management it is their job to keep him safe and allow him to continue his work at an artist alongside the other members, a role that should never fall upon the group themselves who have now also been targeted because of the organisation’s continued blunders. how can you as an established individual comfortably allow your talent to not only wrongfully suffer, but openly blame themselves for a situation that escalated as a result of your own incompetence? and to make such an important decision without the presence and support of the other six members is irresponsible and disregards their feelings on the matter.

seunghan had no advocates in that room.

i can only pray for a peaceful future for him outside of public scrutiny and misdirected hatred and attention. may he spend this period in peace, surrounded by love and compassion.

Okay imma just make a post of a bunch of Electronic Mayhem headcanons

Zoot has chronic pain, particularly in his joints. He 'self medicates' and is partly why he's much more spacey than the rest of the band.

Janice really likes caring for Zoot on bad pain days. She'll be all up in his business even if he insists she doesn't need to, but it's not often he complains anyways, Janice is a great nurse :D

Zoot loves bugs. He doesn't keep any collections/pets because the band spends so much time living out of the van. He does always read up on bugs common to the cities they visit, and loves showing off the ones he finds. Except to Floyd, who can't handle bugs. Zoot also checks if a bug could be poisonous, because Animal tends to eat the bugs Zoot shows off.

Animal uses he/it. People have a tendency to use it/its for Animal which doesn't bother it.

If any of them knew or cared about labels: Pansexual for Animal & Teeth; Bi for Lips, Zoot, Janice and Floyd. But they are all literally just vibing.

Teeth talks like that actually because of a speech impediment (from dyspraxia). He didn't talk much when he was younger cause he was self-conscious. Part of what drew him to music is it doesn't tend to affect him as much when he sings (or so he thinks). These days it doesn't bother him cause his band loved out his stresses about it.

Teeth, Floyd, Animal, and Janice are all runaways.

Floyd left his home at about 15 cause of his drunken abusive father. His mum wouldn't leave with him and he regrets it everyday.

Teeth had his overbearing mum. He left home at 17 after graduating high school and met Floyd. When Teeth bumped into his parents he regressed and fled with them, and attended uni to become a qualified dentist. (This is when Floyd joins the army to not think about being abandoned)

Janice had the same sort of thing, but with a lot of emphasis on being A Proper Young Lady and getting married and having at least four kids. She ditched home at 19 to avoid what was basically an arranged marriage. She still has plenty of religious trauma and was fairly socially stunted from a lack of friends her own age growing up.

Animal was in & out of care homes and medical institutions cos AuDHD making it high needs. It got sick of that shit sometime in its late teens then met Floyd and Teeth, rest is history.

Despite Floyd being a very gruff, sarcastic and rude, he's actually the best at handling Animal. Love makes him patient. He'll also tell you to 'go fuck yourself' if you point out how much he cares, because god forbid people acknowledge that he's a very caring boyfriend.

The band formed before working for The Muppet, minus Lips. He is the youngest of the band and joined after they were already performing for The Muppets. Zoot met Lips while he was busking, and the rest is history <3
