clara oswald is a manic pixie dream girl, but only in the literal sense of each of those words, the non-metaphorical meaning. manic not in a cutesy ‘teehee i’m so quirky’ way, but in an ‘i’m an actual control freak who wants to be able to successfully balance two very different lives and be competent in leading both of them. apparently i also need to sleep and eat and relax like a normal human being??’ way. pixie not in an ‘uwu whimsical’ way, but in an ‘assertive woman of short stature who may or may not be a mischievous trickster entity from a distant mythological past, one that looks adorable at first glance but embodies ambiguity and mystery’ way. dream not in the typical sense, but in the ‘i walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil; i appear in your mind at inopportune times; you can’t get rid of the idea of me, i haunt you like a persistent nightmare’ sense. girl as in impossible.

point is, she is much-deserving of the label in a non-derogatory, non-dismissive way, but as a genuine expression of awe and fascination

considering i went out of my way to work a new outfit for rouge, i thought it might make sense to give amy a new look for the rewrite too! the concept is pretty simple--i figure she was vacationing in Soleanna to enjoy the sun festival before it got rudely interrupted by eggman! these outfits are me trying to explore that premise.

I watched Beautiful Boy with a Friend of mine who also loves Timothee but hadn’t seen it before.

I thought because I watched it before it wouldn’t hurt as bad

Nope it was almost worse because I knew what was going to happen.

Despite how sad it was my friend liked it and once again we had the conversation about Timmy didn’t win an Oscar for anything of his work yet not even this.

My soul was crushed again by this film.

So This Crazy Thing Happened at the Terra Bella Mountain Lodge

The Bradfords were hoping for a nice, peaceful week off relaxing in the mountains to celebrate their anniversary. The Peralta-Santiago family just wanted a vacation somewhere new, with a view. It should have been a nice and simple week, filled with dips in the jaccuzi and rounds of ping-pong in the rec room. But nothing is ever simple when our two favorite sleuthing couples from opposite ends of the country cross paths. Trouble ensues in the lodge, and everyone must work together, and quickly, before everything goes horribly wrong . . .

Incomplete list of better ways to do “Proposition Infinity”:

Amy dates Roberto after meeting him at the jail

Bender dates a random human he met through Amy and Amy is deeply and profoundly embarrassed by her friend’s bad taste

Near the end Bender goes on a Bender-typical crying jag and it causes Amy to realize that she didn’t actually like Bender for his edgy exterior but for his sweet, sensitive heart, which reminded her of Kif, which causes her to go back to Kif (and Bender himself to back out rapidly because if she liked him for his sensitivity she obviously completely misunderstood him because he obviously has none)

Bender suggests to Amy that since he is the baddest bad boy of all time she should pretend to date him just to mess with Kif and a heartbroken and angry Amy goes along with it but then they accidentally become the faces of a movement and they have to get married or it will ruin the reputation of a cause to say nothing of the blow to Bender’s newfound social cachet as a successful activist

Kif actually shows up and creates a whole bunch of conflict trying to win Amy back instead of conveniently disappearing and then conveniently reappearing. Bonus points if the anti-Prop Infinity faction tries to rope him in as their representative because he’s a devoted family man whose tadpoles are now doomed to grow up in a broken swamp due to the seductions of metal fever and he’s extremely conflicted about this because unfortunately, although he only did it to wring an apology out of her, he walked out on Amy

At the end Amy’s parents tell her that they were never actually against her going out with a robot but they were just against her going out with Bender and Amy is like “unfortunately you have a point.”

i think the thing that bothers me the most with the ken penders echidna designs is how he kept putting hair on top of their spines. it just looks so bad. i think a sonic character could look nice with quills or spines or whatever OR with more human looking hair, but they should never have both or itll look weird. or at least they shouldnt have both in the way penders went about it
