One sees a little bit of Two in Casey (Sr.) which is why he bonds with her so quickly

One does not remember the details of the incident where he lost his heart except that Two had said that he figured out how to make One stronger and the next thing he'd know is lying on a table with a prosthetic.

When One fought in the Nexus, he had a group of fans who'd wind up turning their backs on him when he dips. Since One (and Two) are widely considered abominations and menaces in the Hidden City, his stardom was largely due to Big Mama advertising him as a star. People grew to adore One while he was Big Mama's champion but the second he stepped out the door, they turned on him. Whatever 'fans' he had will think that he's a fallen star who hit his peak in the Nexus.

This last one probably won't be canon, it's more like a branch-off au. Teaa and I both have leosagi next gen ocs who are twins (Aoki and Aika) and I wanted to figure out how to incorporate them into EMD. Since One dislikes kids (even when he's older), the twins would've been mistakes since One would unlikely willingly have any (Casey Jr. is an exception bc Casey Sr. made One promise to look after him).

But getting the twins so suddenly causes him a lot of anxiety and insecurity because One already has so much trouble with Casey Jr. and he doesn’t know how or want to take care of two more kids and, by now Usagi has left.

But he also accepts the fact that Aoki and Aika are his kids and he wouldn't trust anybody else to take care of them, so despite how he feels, he does what he can to keep them alive but keeps them at an even farther emotional distance than he does with Casey Jr.

Lackadaisy (Animated PILOT - Webcomic.) Lackadaisy has its own Animated PILOT on YouTube, and a Webcomic you can find on the official lackadaisy website! The series is about a webcomic set in Prohibition-era St. Louis, Missouri. It chronicles the events of a cast of anthropomorphic cats as they struggle to keep the titular speakeasy afloat.

Murder Drones (Animated series) Murder Drones has recently gained popularity, but is still a small project. You find it on youtube. On a post-apocalyptic exoplanet, worker drones struggle to survive by hiding from rogue robots called Murder Drones

Epithet Erased (Animated series - book) you can find the first 7 episode Animated on YouTube! Season 2, however, Is a book. based on the tabletop roleplay series Anime Campaign! With unique powers called epithets, and characters attempting to steal an amulet rumored to have the ability to take a person's epithet.

Lego Monkie Kid (Cartoon) The tale begins when an ordinary boy, Monkie Kid, finds Monkey King's legendary staff, and he becomes the chosen one. You can watch on PRIME VIDEO!

Recreyo (YouTube channel!) Oddly enough, I'm recommending a YouTube channel.. a Comedy podcast with a group of friends with trust issues are thrown into different chaotic scenarios where they have to survive by learning to trust each other.. or not.

I'm running out of ideas or media's so.. uh yeah guys you should watch those silly fnaf rps like Oddities or The Famous Films!!! There's more, but I don't know them all lol

The last two aenem chapters have struck me beyond ways. There's a lot I'd like to talk about, but the main thing is how beautiful it is to have someone with such disposal and genuine want of being with you that they take the time to teach you new things, to listen and comfort and *wait*.

When skateboarding Mikey first made Kendra loosen up by swinging her around the city, then with patience and so much love helped her get the basics, and Kendra trusted him. Mid her stubbornness, he never made fun of her and encouraged her to keep trying. And when she succeeded his joy was so warming it WAS ADORABLE AUHJJMSM

Funnily enough, it reminded me of one of the Hotel Transilvania movies where Mavis and Johnny are in a park and after Mavis does a trick, Johnny is like "that's my girlfriend, suckers!" To which Mavis corrects, "your wife, Johnny. " and he says "My wife, even better."

And then the last update just hits me with a shit ton of reminiscing in Kendra's side. How she relieves her childhood going in and out her mind, leaving Mikey 'alone' but him not reprimanding her and instead understanding and waiting until the time is appropriate for him to bring it up. And he does it softly. And leaves the door open for her to cross herself. And she opens up.

And this is all beautiful to me because who wouldn't want that?

They both feed each other affection in a healthy way without pushing or pulling. They understand, they read each other and thread cautiously where needed.

I just love how little by little they peel off layers, bare their soul to each other, and everytime it's like they love each other more and more.

And it's aside the topic and I know AENEM is a SFW fic, but I can't help but wonder if their chemistry in more intimate settings would be like that. Slow paced, careful. A bit playful, but full of reverence for each other.

AHHH HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA!!! I really love the first one a whole lot and I've seen the others, but dangit if I didn't totally forget about the skateboard scene. MIKEY WOULD TOTALLY FORGET/REMEMBER THEY WERE MARRIED BUT ONLY AFTER THE FACT! When I was brainstorming date ideas with Beta Grace, she was going through things Mikey liked to do and I realized that for as intrinsic as skateboarding is to the turtles, I almost never see it used in romantic fics! I decided I totally needed to rectify that and it was such a blast figuring out both how it would work for Kendra and in the context of where I needed to get her emotionally.

The “fluttershy is Muslim because she’s quiet” headcanon is a massive steryotype based on a small character trait that many people have. It’s absolutely not okay to throw a religion onto a character who isn’t even connected to our world because of a trait they possess. I agree with you on that.

Cross’ potential stereotype has a bit more connection. It may still be stereotyping, yeah, but it’s done with a bit more groundwork than “oh he just acts transgender”. He has actual evidence to support his trans-coding beyond a personality trait people associate with transgender people.

As a religious person myself, I don’t think it’s cool to look at a basic character trait and say “yeah, they’re (religion)”. It’s not cool. Absolutely not. It’s not okay. Never. Never okay. I would rather die before I said “oh fluttershy is a Christian because she’s nice to everyone”. That makes ZERO sense.

‘Another thing that upset everyone so much is that you also decided to DIAGNOSE cross as if it could give an excuse for why he’s going through what he’s going through. You don’t need an excuse to want to change your name or your pronouns. And saying cross has Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is extremely rude considering the appearance that you barely did any research on the topic.

If you’ll notice, cross hesitates before he shares his name. He glances over to Xchara, who gives him a quick nod, before he responds to ink.

That was a conscious choice. Changing between personalities with DID isn’t a conscious choice.

It can absolutely be argued that cross was giving a fake name to ink. Whether it was to avoid confusion or just because he didn’t want to say “sans” is entirely up to interpretation. What can’t be denied though is that cross eventually fully commits to the name, and makes it what he goes by, hence the whole scene that got Jael to confirm the trans-coding in the first place.

Does cross have PTSD? Probably! He lived in an abusive household, he nearly died, he HAS died, and he’s been betrayed by the people he trusts. All of that, combined with more we likely never saw, it’s guaranteed he has trauma. And that’s fine. Trauma is the little extra flavor that makes your character stand out.

What’s not cool is you tried to frame that as the reason why he changed his name.

Cross’ story isn’t about a mentally scared person with DID, it’s about someone who had been forced to fit into one role his whole life and wanting to finally be his own person. Changing his name is a major part of him wanting to be a different person.

I, myself, headcanon cross as being autistic. Is he autistic? NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! I HAVE NO EVIDENCE! does that mean I can’t headcanon him as it? No! It’s my perception of his character, I can see him as having as much autistic swag as I want. As someone with the swag, I see a lot of me in him in how he behaves. But I can’t force people to agree with me because I think my opinion is the best. Just gotta keep that funny little idea to myself and the people I feel okay sharing it with. Don’t agree with me? That’s cool. That’s normal, even.

Drawing characters in outfits isn’t weird. It’s perfectly okay and silly to slap cross into a nun outfit and give him a gun. I’ve made references with his name before in stories I’ve written. Example below.

Again, it’s entirely okay to have opinions. Everyone has them. What isn’t okay is that you tried to force your opinion onto others, and then you got upset when people rightfully disagreed with you.

I have a rant thats been stewing awhile on the subject.

I would be really really careful using these for people and touting them as The Best Way to interact online and The Most Accessible for a few reasons:

People who are not in the know can become more confused, especially with the lesser-known or less obvious ones. It is forcing others to learn an entire new dialect, one they may not have the spoons or memory to use or understand properly. It can cause neurodivergent people MORE stress to have to use them.

Many neurodivergent people (such as myself) find them INCREDIBLY condescending when used on us for fairly obvious things (ex- I like your shirt! /gen looks like 'I think you are such a -insert slur- that you cant understand a statement where the default literal reading is fairly unambiguous, poor little baby cant handle it! Im such a disabled ally!'). This is less so with the original two tone tags /s and /j, but most tone tags have this problem.

Many neurodivergent people (also such as myself) find them to look suspicious like a bottle labeled 'THIS IS NOT POISON' being poured into our drink. It looks like a suspiciously specific denial and messes with paranoia. It also implies any time you say 'your shirt looks cool' without 5 tone tags proclaiming its base meaning of positive, genuine, and serious that when you usually make a statement like that it ISNT those things.

They are NOT screenreader friendly. At all.

People lie with them a lot, and some people have trauma regarding certain circles online using them to fuck with people. Literally just last week I found someone doing the /gen /srs thing with a question whos last post was to a cringe subreddit for the topic. They also view them as get out of jail free cards or ways to get people to farm 'cringe content'. Some of us arent going to trust that at all with VERY GOOD REASON and now the tag is useless.

Many tags have non-obvious meanings, /pos doesnt look like 'positive' it looks like 'piece of shit'.

ASL speakers are going to have a rough time learning tone tags because its more weird english slang no one explains.

Every time anyone criticizes tone tags (or even says so much as 'please dont use them for me its a trigger'), tone tag likers fly off the fucking handle(in my experience) and accuse you of being horrible and evil for not loving them to death, causing them to be associated with performative accommodations that dont do shit and people getting mad when you call them on it for some of us. Im not hyperactive in many spaces that use them and ive witnessed like 5 breakdowns in the past year alone of someone saying 'hey can you not use these for me please?' and the other person loosing it that the ungrateful disabled person wasnt bowing in awe over their wokeness for using them or whatever. Just complete all caps aggressive HOW DARE YOU and WHY CANT I DO ANYTHING RIGHT IM TRYING TO BE AN ALLY reassurement fishing and defensive 'I cant be ableist deliberately using tone tags on someone triggered by them, im doing the woke thing tiktok said so you are wrong' stuff.

What would be better to be done instead, in order of best to worse is;

Rephrase the statement/question to have the tone stated in there if the statement is not ruined by doing so. Unless you are working with a wordcount, this is accessible to the most amount of people because you dont need to learn a secret code and its fairly unambiguious and the least condescending and trap-like looking.

'Why do you have text describing images all over your blog? /gen' -> 'Genuine question, why do you have text describing images all over your blog?'

'Your artwork emotionally disembowels me /pos' -> 'Your artwork, and I mean this in the most positive of ways, emotionally disembowels me'

State the tone/meaning in FULL in parenthesis at the end. This makes it clearer what the tag is supposed to indicate to more people, it may still cause confusion however, trigger paranoia, or look condescending. Its more screenreader friendly, but less so than the above option. This works also for things that ruin the thing to interrupt the flow.

'Why do you have text describing images all over your blog? /gen' -> 'Why do you have text describing images all over your blog? (genuine question)'

'Because you are totally an anti /s', 'because you are totally an anti (sarcasm)'

Ask or look for indications that this person requires tonetags or uses them BEFORE using them and then respecting that choice. Has all the stated above issues, but at least consent for participating in this dialect was obtained. Checking if they need /pos, /srs, AND /gen tagged on on simple statement of 'your shirt looks cool' is very good.

Counterarguments:

Not on every platform you arent! I concede this one on twitter, where you can barely fit a statement in there sometimes and you may not be able to threadtweet reasonably. But in spaces like tumblr where you have no charactercount? On discord where charactercount is so high and its a chatspace so you can just double message?

Also the 'ask before you use' or 'state in your hoverbio you use' is best practice.

Also also try emojis, which I didnt list previously but with some tones can make it more clear with only a few characters.

He can get when you need a moment for yourself or just need space entirely, he knows when to back up and give you a moment, and also when to swoop in and give you a lil smooch on the forehead bc he loves you (: he loves how different your styles are, and however you wanted to dress he absolutely hypes you up in his own ways. Anyone fucking with you either gets a bullet or a death glare by this lanky man, he plays no games when it comes to respecting you and your boundaries! Sniper definitely can relate to the feeling of needing to put up a front when first meeting someone, so he'll also take a bit to be able to come out of his shell and turn into the snuggly guy he is deep down and show you all sorts of forms of affection, he definitely does a lot of small things for you that he tries showing affection with but he's trying his best!

With the three together, you get a big bundle of love wrapped in a pretty bow for you! The trio love to plan together ways just to make you happy, Sniper ending up being the one that has to pull the other two out of some sticky situations that they may or may not pull you into. Scout loves to take lead and show off how great you are to anyone that's out in public, holds your hand and happily uses any pronouns you give him, in fact he even gets Demo to also join in telling anyone just about how wonderful you are as a partner to them. Can and will talk anyone's ear off about it, they are always ready to shower you with love and affection! Sniper is also very affectionate while the two are yelling their love, he on the other hand is much more subtle about it, holding hands, putting his hat on you, he's really sweet and gentle regardless so its always the best of all worlds! They'd definitely partake in cuddle piles, Sniper builds a pillow fort for everyone to enjoy time inside of, no one else allowed without the password that Scout made up on the spot...and forgot when he went to get snacks. Regardless, you've found yourself in a big bundle of love and support!

Because as a trans person who has suffered numerous hate crimes even in "safe" places, it's SAFER to assume someone is transphobic if they're willing to misgender someone. Assuming otherwise irl can get you killed, and assuming otherwise online can still lead to you or others getting hurt /nm

And from personal experience, 90% of people who do that DO do it for transphobic reasons. It's not "lack of faith in humanity," it's an informed expectation based on personal ecperience, both online AND offline

Like you can believe whatever you want, if we're being honest. All that I was asking is that people shouldn't be acting like its the end of the world just cause they saw someone use 'he' once on a magical shapeshifting cookie from a game that already has multiple gnc male/female characters that would confuse you on what their pronouns are. The character has a very feminine appearance and a very masculine voice, and "their" was only used once in their bio, which IMO, is extremely easy to miss, cause if we're being honest, I missed it the first time too, the bio is long as shit, its more likely that someone did it on accident rather then with malicious intent

Like, may I remind you that this is not a topic about misgendering in general, this is a topic about the pronouns of a specific character from a specific fandom. while yes, 90% of people when it comes to pronouns in general probably misgender people, but I doubt the statistics would be the same for a gacha game about cookie that run. /gen
