HISTORY .

Haruo also comes from a long lineage of samurai. That being said, he’s only fought in actual combat once or twice in his lifetime. The lifestyle never took root despite his grandparent's wishes. He does still retain a substantial amount of skill in swordsmanship from training in his adolescence, though.

Childhood was plain as can be aside from rigorous training. He wasn't a straight a student, but always managed to pass. Not the most popular, but had a good core of friends. Dated around a little, had his heart broken twice. Would always help out at his parent's small family convenience store during holidays and breaks.

Sometime during his young adulthood, there was an attempted robbery at the convenience store when he was on shift. Things went ... Poorly, but no one died. Haruo was the only one injured and sustained an old scar that runs along the lower right side of his neck. He always makes light of it and brushes off any concern, but it still troubles him from time to time — just as the sound of shattering glass can act as a trigger.

Enrolled at a university closer to Tokyo ( hometown is in Nagasaki ) with the aim to get his BFA. Met the love of his life, Himuro Fuyuko, and ended up getting married post graduation. Soon after, they had their daughter, Matsumura Izumi.

Life continued rather uneventfully until his wife's passing when Izumi was ten. Bereaved, he tried even harder to uphold both parental roles for his daughter. Five years later, his father passed and his mother a year thereafter.

Haruo moved back to Nagasaki in order to handle family affairs. Three years was spent to tidy everything up and he ended up selling the convenience store. After, he moved back to Tokyo right as Izaumi enrolls into university.

MISC. FACTS .

Personality: Amiable and has other’s best intentions in mind. Very good with kids / students in general. Can be seen as a people pleaser, but he does have a threshold of how much shit he’ll deal with and will set his foot down. Loves his daughter dearly and is a very proud father.

Has a dad bod & is greying.

His daughter is 100% trying to wingman him back into romance.

Spectacular in swordsmanship and judo in particular. Is a bit rusty nowadays, though.
