#arcane #arcaneedit #gifmaking #reminder that if ur not a fan of the coloring and sharpening then i dont need to hear ur opinion so fuck off and make your own gifs :)#sooo yeah!!! just sharing this very old coloring comparison i use from time to time to make sure i follow a certain peg for my gifs #but i dont really follow it to the T of course #and now i will use the tags to rant/comment about my coloring process lmao #ok so.... arcane s2 is SOOOOO much brighter than s1 i am so so so thankful we have such bright scenes instead of all the dark ones in s1 #because it makes my life so much easier #that being said my coloring isnt really perfect i still cant handle more complex tones like the mel gif......#i used to have a more stylized coloring wayyy back in s1 (esp when u look at my old gifs) but i kinda realized i had to change it #so i scrapped all my old psds and now coloredit EVERYTHING MANUALLY #hence why sometimes i gif the same scene but theyre colored different since i never use a preset PSD now #however it became way more tedious to make gifs... so yeah.... lmao #but in the end i like it more!!! i like that my new coloring just basically matches the show more but is just brighter and more saturated #unless ofc i dont like the tones of the original show i.e. the vi gif you see there where its super green gray???? idk i dont like it so #i recolored the entire thing #anyways thats really it coloring will always be something i continue to try to improve on but recently ive just been v busy so i just #speed color and edit everything and dont rlly take all adjustments into account so no more complex tones and #i just stick to basic things #oh right sharpening! so for sharpening i use a very basic setting: just 500 px and 0.4 radius which is what i use for almost everything #i also dont add noise bc the landscape photographer in me does NOT like it LMFAOOOOOOOOOO #but yeah thats really it for sharpening oh i also use 4k sources as much as possible bc it gives the best quality and if #i cant find any source i just upscale everything by myself then crop stuff again back to 540 px and imo it really just does look better #personal tag

guy who is being so normal about the new additions to their profiles. i think abt midoris initial infatuation with his art slowly developing into appreciating yuzuru himself as a person and idol to the point he worries about how he sees him (ex: a bit of home party and in workplace survival rules) sometimes thats a lie i think about it a lot. and yuzuru learning to enjoy art just for the sake of drawing!! seeing the lets try diy story where he doesnt even refute drawing on midoris desk and was only worried that his doodles might cover up the mascot design compared to how discouraged he usually would be in earlier ! stories. everything to me i adore their dynamic if that wasnt obvious by *gestures to basically everything*

high republic yellow lightsaber wielders and their fates. spoilers. more or less chronological order. seriously, spoilers.

Kevmo Zink - oh he died horribly (slowly turned to stone while fully conscious, right after watching his master die the same way). his lightsaber stayed behind and was used by the antagonist until breaking.

Xinith Tarl and Sula Badani - two participants in the same horribly traumatizing mission. Sula gets her hand turned to ash, regroups and fights some more, and ultimately gets the rest of her body also turned to ash. Xinith makes it out though.

Enya Keen - one of the era's many, many young Jedi who got reassigned to a different master because their first one died tragically. she also got a replacement lightsaber, leaving the yellow lightsaber gang just in time.

Dagan Gera - leaves the yellow lightsaber club by bleeding his lightsaber and turning to the dark side. predictably this doesn't save him.

Djovi Resmia - Young Jedi Adventures character so i don't really know them but i assume they will be fine?

Loden Greatstorm - could be considered the first big casualty of the series! got kidnapped and tortured for a year. was really close to escaping and then got turned to stone in front of his traumatized student. the villain kept his lightsaber as well and keeps showing it off. hilariously also a Young Jedi Adventures character.

Estala Maru - died in a heroic sacrifice holding a burning space station together. a lot of jedi died in the same event so his death is not that emphasized. what do you know, he also showed up in Young Jedi Adventures.

Indeera Stokes - got to adopt Loden's traumatized student and then traumatized him in turn by almost dying in the same way Loden did. lived but is paralyzed, probably permanently.

Ram Jomaram - he is actually having a pretty good time all things considered.

Emerick Caphtor - doing alright so far! but he is the primary character investigating the creepy things that killed or maimed 4 of his yellow lightsaber predecessors. i am so worried for him.

Soleil Agra - she's okay! also very hot. who said that

Yord Fandar - ??? we'll see in the oncoming weeks. i do think the rando in the background isn't gonna make it though.

It's been a little over a year since I started using Photoshop, this piece is from the last few days (February 2025 yeye), while the piece below is the first thing I drew with Photoshop (January 2024). A lot of stuff has happened since then (reaching the end of Ascendance of a Bookworm for example-), but Rozemyne is still a character I draw pretty often, and I still have Photoshop, so this is to see if I've gotten better art wise since then (I would say I have :D)

the rendering changed so much over time and i didnt even realize how much more complex it got i was like "☝️ literally why is every drawing taking so long now" like perhaps bc you're putting more into it
