I love them all tbh. It's like asking me to choose if I like breathing air or inhaling it. Like it's the same thing. Still tho, since you asked, I'll try to rate them. Key word: try since all of them are Mona Lisa's to me (special, lovely and unique in their own way <3).

MC vs. Villain (but lowkey sexual)

Changed the trajectory of everyone's lives when it dropped. THE art. THE piece. I am still obsessed with it. Sukuna touching the inner part of Yuuji's wrist, feeling his heartbeat.... FOR WHAT LIKE WHAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE WRIST FEEL EXPLAIN.

Yeah. That's my sukuita. Weird as hell "enemies" who don't beat each other to death, they just use that excuse to touch each other so no one pays attention to it.

2. The Wheel Turns

The poetic piece and hence it's my second fav. I know the most agreed on thing for normal fans (aka not sukuita shippers) is the Dharma wheel (cue deep dive into Hinduism) but to me this holds connection to the never-changing cycle these two were stuck in. The "cycle" that Yuuji breaks at the end of the manga by killing the unkillable, befriending the avoidable and loving the unlovable (Sukuna). The opposite forces which clash and cannot combine but finally do combine at the end, achieving harmony. Essentially, becoming one (<3333)

Orrrr, because I'm insane, it could also be about them finding each other again and again. The wheel which keeps on turning, again and again, represents something which is repetitive and has no end and to say that they (Sukuna and Yuuji) have no end is sweet. It could also be about many other things but these are just off the top of my head since if I think about this image too long, this'll be a whole 30k post.

3. Back to Back

Fun fact about this little image is that it used to be my favorite for a long time before the #1 would drop. What I love about this image the most is the fact that they're standing as equals even if turned away from each other (representing their relationship and their vastly differing viewpoints) and considering this is an older piece it just serves as foreshadowing that the only equals they could ever have is each other but considering they're turned away from each other, they have no way of ever knowing that and seeing that. Also could be that they know but refuse to acknowledge it (how I interpret it).

Total opposites + Yuuji looking drop dead gorgeous and serious + Sukuna in a kimono are all just bonuses. This piece cemented my love for them and drove me into how I feel about them now so it's also special for that too <3

4. ENEMY

This could've been a #3 easily and also #1 easily since... the throat grab, the direct eye contact... Have mercy on me Gege. S1 sukuita had me in a chokehold way stronger than the one Sukuna and Yuuji have here tho, that's for sure (which is saying a lot lmfao). Also... I always found it weird how Sukuna's hand seems not to be gripping but nearly... holding... Yuuji chin?? Or maybe that's me high on them obsessed over each other nvm

5. Divine Black Flash (see what I did there?)

Signature moves (aka abilities) plus them next to each other twinning and winning. Also one of my faves but the others were way more symbolic so had more of a grip on me but this one slays too. All of them do, don't take my list too personally y'all.

Here I'm gonna ramble about how much and what exactly I love about the design!

The little deteils in this design are really difficult to draw for me but they're really pretty. The chain attached to the glasses especially.

I like the detail of the charm on them, and I can imagine them shining around with slightly exaggerated headmovements during narration.

The ruffles and layers are really nice and give me the vibe of innocence and elegant women from an earlier era, but the short haircut kinda gives me "Professional buisness woman", if that makes sense?

I love the length and the way it lays over Raymond's head like a bit of silk.

I also love the corset deteil as it gives more siluette in my opinion.

The posture of the reference reminds me of the mona Lisa, with a serene and calm, yet slightly sly smile on Raymond's lips and Sharp eyes.

I just all in all love the vibe Raymond gives off >:]

I would totally drink tea with your narrator in an elegant rose garden, with a very delicate, pretty tea set and some biscuits!

Anyway:

Mafia Madman by Mila Finelli. I think of a kiss in this book a lot, because while these two have a lot of SEX, they don't have a lot of tender kissing or like, loooovemaking type sex. There's a scene where the hero has a panic attack, and the heroine helps him breathe through it, and they start having sex, and I think she calls him baby during or something (and it's also the first time they've had sex with her on top) and he like, grabs her and kisses her... it's so good.

Regarding the Duke by Grace Callaway. This is recent, but it's their first kiss in flashbacks, and he's all cold and calculating and trying to seduce her into marrying him for her connections, and she's sweet and gentle, and it's like... so good... When they kiss for the first time and it kinda goes out of control and he's like "SHIT".

Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas. There's a really passionate kiss around the line where Derek tells Sara that sometimes, he wants to punish her a little... And he's basically like "you need to stay the fuck away from me" but we all know he's falling in love with her, and he can't resist kissing her.

Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid. The kiss during the scene where Ilya is like "oh let's like chill and have an snack after sex", which turns into a handjob lol, but it's like the first time they really start getting EMOTIONALLY intimate (and the first time they switch out of using last names only), and you see the horror of FEELINGS happen.

American Queen by Sierra Simone. I really love the angsty ferris wheel first kiss between Embry and Greer because it does feel kind of doomed? Like, you're very "oh nooooo this is baaaad" because of the setup you've already seen and what you as the reader know that they don't know, but you're also reading so fast because the tension has been building and it all feels so fated.

And though it's not from their perspective, in the same book the mistletoe kiss between Ash and Embry is. SO. GOOD.

Lothaire by Kresley Cole. The kiss when Ellie is all "fuck you dude I'll make you yell to the rafters" (she does) and during they get really out of hand and start making out and he bites her lower lip and it starts bleeding... and as she withdraws he's like "she is going to lose her shit and run away", kind of WANTING that to happen because he's an asshole and is losing the upper hand... But she basically smiles at him through the blood and kisses him HARD. It's the entire relationship in a kiss.

When the Duke Was Wicked by Lorraine Heath. The first kiss in this book is one of those "he has many emotions including jealousy and can't stand it so he grabs her and kisses her" moments... and he feels so bad about it... and she's so pissed at him... and it's incredible. Waking Up with the Duke also has an amazing first kiss, especially because after that Jayne demands that, though they'll be having sex, there CANNOT be any more kissing. Because the kissing is Too Much.

Thief of Shadows by Elizabeth Hoyt. The masked kiss, which very much gives HARD Sam Raimi Spider-Man vibes.

Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas. The kiss while their hands are still tied, obvi obvi lol. I also love the first kiss in Seduce Me at Sunrise so great, because Kev can't stop himself (common Kev skill issue) and it's so angsty and so passionate and Win just leaves the country right after because he won't just put it in her, basically.

Between the Devil and Desire by Lorraine Heath. Olivia goading Jack into kissing her by being like "and that's what I DON'T want you to do" because she knows he does the opposite of what she tells him to lol.

The Duke Gets Even by Joanna Shupe. The first kiss in the ocean when they're strangers and he tells her to pull his hair harder. It sets the tone in every way for the rest of the book.

The Vampire Lestat or Queen of the Damned: This may be recency bias but I think I'll say TLV. I think "Lestat has big feelings about everything" is incredibly valid as the plot for an entire book, and I'm really enjoying rereading it rn and feeling uncomfortably seen by Lestat's complete inability to emotionally regulate. Also, I like seeing relationships like Gabrielle and Lestat get some room to breathe. (That said, I don't remember QotD super well and I'm excited to revisit it.)

I'm originally from Ireland (this is the most frequent question I get asked both irl and online ahahahaha). I love pretty much any country I've had the privilege of visiting. But here is a shortlist (it's still long). :P

I love France for its culture. My interest in the country started when I was quite young (once I learned where the Mona Lisa was located lol, and by the time I was 7/8, I was obsessed). It was the first country I visited abroad with my mother when I was eight years old (you can guess which city it was :P). So yeah, many memories and childhood attachment lol. Obviously there are problems there but there are problems everywhere I've been; I don't think a single country exists without its problems.

I really like Austria because I've been in love with Vienna since I was 14. I learned about Kaiserin Elisabeth of Austria while there for the first time, and it totally changed my own direction in life (I was inspired to really discover my own sense of style from that point on thanks to that trip and leanring about Sisi). I haven't had the chance to see the rest of Austria, but a good friend has, and we both agree that country is a vibe. The people tend to be a bit reserved (in Vienna, at least, from my experience) and conservative in a lot of places (my friend can confirm too), however, which is not so wonderful.

All the Nordic countries. Each one is so fascinating!!! I'd especially love to visit Sweden and Norway. The fondness for Sweden has been around since I was six, when I was in choir and our choir director explained a Swedish tradition of Lucia. Every 13 December (the feast day of Santa Lucia, an Italian saint who is widely celebrated in Scandinavia for the celebration of light) choirs dress in white gowns, and elect a girl to portray the saint, who then wears a white gown with a red sash and a wreath of candles on her head. She leads the procession and there's beautiful singing. There's much more detail etc available online, I won't rant too much here. :P But I love it. I would love to see Norway as Edwige apparently adored it there, so I'd love to explore it.

Italy because food, fashion, and VIBES. Is it politically a mess rn? Yeah but it's often been like that unfortunately. I would love to see more of the country. <3

Poland gets an honourary mention bc I've never got to visit yet but two of my good friends are from there and I love them to bits. <333 Again, government is INSANE, but you'll meet some of the most amazing souls and beautiful places there too.

MÉXICOOOOOOOOOO I wanna visit so bad bc the culture is BEAUTIFUL and every person I've had the blessing of meeting are also amazing, amazing souls. <3333 So yeah that would be a dream trip for sure, to see the real Mexico, not just the touristy parts. I wanna go at so many times of year for different celebrations ahaha. I've been told I absolutely must see Guanajuato.

There are so many more countries I'd love to talk about bc I really do like many lol, but I'll spare you all :P

so idk if you've read these yet since I didn't see mention of them, but my top two, like on par with mystic malfunction, are I May Be Invisible But I Still Look Good by dandy and Dagger in the Mirror by totallynotasecretao3account. imbi is a leo fic that had me sobbing by the end. dagger in the mirror is a 2012/rise crossover that's super long and has an also long sequel, but its so worth it. afaik these two are pretty popular for good reason, I cant recommend either of them enough

sunshine in the rain by carnation_bloom is a mikey and leatherhead oneshot (in this house we love and appreciate leatherhead)

dragon_scales_and_fairy_tales has the mikey fics that are super gripping but arent really far along: are you lonely yet? and the sun is a dying star. both of which are pm mikey recovery fics. and then they also have a oneshot called it's golden hour somewhere that I so wished they turned into a series bc the family curse concept is so interesting and the way they wrote karai was so good

the bad end fic i was talking about is Promise by dysfunctional request. i hate the way they wrote leo in it, but otherwise its really good. well written and also heartbreaking, as a hurt/no comfort fic would be

and then finally i have three shellshocked fics. full disclosure I am an aroace mikey truther, but miles and Mikey are a p cute duo so i make an exception for these. murals and mutants by aslitheryprinx; spraypaint, violence, and superheroes by i_hate_sand; and rooftop mona lisa by languajix (which is also not very far along and Mikey hasn't even met miles yet but it started on such an intense note and its just really good so far you have to understand)

5. Out of all your fanworks that include [character], which is your favourite?

Gonna go with Karai for this one and say my fic Letters <3 It's set in a pretty niche AU, but I really, really enjoyed writing it and just diving into what Karai would be like after losing both her adoptive father and bio father at once (the answer: unwell).

6. Show us a bit of a WIP!

Technicallyyyy it's no longer a wip since yesterday, but I'm not at my laptop right now so I can't grab snippets from my other recent wips,,, I am really proud of this fic though, so.

The smog that was ever-present in the city didn't cloud the night sky at all from here. Mona knew perfectly well that the domes had been constructed to keep the contaminated air out of the cities, but whenever she entered the wastelands, she couldn't help the creeping sense that the domes also kept the humans and their pollution away from the rest of the planet. Despite the ruins around her, despite knowing that everything from the air to the water to the ground was poisoned beyond salvaging, despite the creatures roaming around that wouldn't hesitate to kill her, despite all that Mona found the wastelands utterly, staggeringly beautiful.

Above her, far past the top of even the highest skyscraper, the night sky shone like a glittering tapestry. A giant streak of white dominated the distant canopy, bleeding countless stars like an open wound, forever hanging above her head. Looking up at the countless giant suns—far away enough that they only appeared as a small dot—always soothed Mona. No matter what had happened on Earth, the universe would continue on its unknowable course.

9. Write a recommendation of someone else's fic you enjoyed!

I'm going to sound like a broken record at this point, but. @wyverwithy's fic about Frida (Took Me In Broken) is still super super good <333 I go back and reread it every now and then (which is super rare for me to do). She's a super niche side character, so I wasn't really expecting to find any works that focus on her, much less works that are actually to my taste (because I'm really picky), but I did and I'm having a blast with how things are set up and with how Frida is characterized.

I don't think so? I used to be more into shipping than I am now, so if anything I'm doing the reverse hdskjdks

Actually, I do remember that when RaphMona was introduced I was staunchingly against it, but the ship had won me over by the end of the first episode. (Though, the way I ship them is still very, very queerplatonic--I've seen some art/fics for it that, for the lack of a better word, feel very cishet and that's a big instant No.)
