Like A House On Fire [Part 16]
Continuing from...
....Honest to god, y'all, I never really expected this thing to get this far :')
Anyway every time I come out and say that I'm going to have more time (and energy, and lack of pain) to write, I jinx myself, SO... onward!

"Neden onu aptal saçmalıklarınla rahatsız ediyorsun ki? Four o'clock, forty-five degrees."
"I've got 'em."
"Ben onu rahatsız etmiyordum, sen sadece otoritersin." Bolo picked off the last two of the Helldiver unit that had been closest to the plateau; whatever the brothers were arguing about, it was a bit intense. "Ayrıca. Tanıdığımız diğer insanlara benzemiyor mu?"
"Ben değilim!" Adze hissed. "Her durumda, neye benzediğin önemli değil, Super Earth scum öyle Super Earth scum."
"Oi, hey! Even I understood that, Two-Tone!" She elbowed the Trooper, scowling. "Quit talking about me when I'm standing right here."
"Let me say, I was being nice," Bolo replied, earning a scoff from his brother.
"You were being ridiculous."
Z rolled her eyes, scouting out another scurrying shadow, drawing a bead… and getting nothing when she pulled the trigger.
"Fuck," she breathed, "well, whatever, I'm out of ammo and it's really starting to heat up out here. Can you two argue inside?"
Adze ground out something she didn't quite catch, slinging his rifle behind his shoulder and hopping over the edge of the casemate roof without waiting for any further input. Before Z could follow suit, though, Bolo caught her arm.
"Not so reckless, yenge," he stuttered amusedly, even as a salvo of bullets pinged off the concrete wall overhead.
"BUNU DUYDUM!"
Bolo stuttered out another laugh, helping Z over the edge to where Adze waited to boost her back into the casemate; only when she was secure did the two brothers clamber in after her. Turning to kneel at the embrasure, they proceeded to lay down another salvo of blistering laser fire while she scrambled to reload her own rifle.
Part of her wondered where Hatchet and the others were.
Part of her realized that they almost certainly had roles to play outside. The officers would be directing troops and managing logistics, and the troops themselves would be, well… doing what she was doing.
More hellpods rained down from the waiting destroyers, their impacts a steady percussive beat behind the chattering rapport of gunfire.
At least the snow is clearing up for now, she thought as she joined Adze and Bolo at the embrasure. Visibility was still shit, but it was better than it had been, and it was easier for her to pick out the small moving targets crossing the desert floor.
Still, she would have preferred to be down there, herself. She had excellent aim - had earned an embarrassing nickname for it, even - but there was nothing quite like charging into the middle of a swarm, guns blazing…
"…I don't know how to tell you guys this," she said after a moment, "but either I'm gonna need a new rifle here in a bit, or I'm gonna need to go out there and get up close and personal."
"No."
"The fuck you mean, no?" She glared at Adze from the corner of her eye as she fired off another salvo.
"Hatchet would kill us," he replied flatly. "No."
"So are you at least going to get me a replacement gun."
"If any are available. Be patient, pest."
"I am being patient, but I didn't walk all this way just to take a few potshots and then get sidelined-"
"Ah-"
Bolo's brief warning came only a moment before the shrill whistle of an inbound rocket reached her ears; looking up, she caught the briefest glimpse of red-orange flame before she was dragged to the floor.
A split-second later, the world quite literally exploded into chaos.
Z was no stranger to long falls; she'd taken more than her fair share while hunting bugs, in fact.
That didn't make the experience any more enjoyable.
Someone - she couldn't tell if it was Adze or Bolo - had hold of her for the first half of the fall, doing their level best to shield her from the worst of it. But at some point, they'd hit an obstacle, and she found herself tumbling free, the world whirling into a nauseating blur as she desperately tried to slow her fall or at least shield her head and then she'd slammed into something with enough force to knock the breath from her lungs and she was airborne for a few sickening seconds and then -
A nearby locker door slammed with a BANG!
"…Well, if it isn't the motherfuckin' Dragon Slayer, herself." A familiar voice came from behind her as she was stowing her gear, causing something in her chest to tighten. "What the hell, Z, how've you been? It's been years!"
"First off, I don't call myself that, it's embarrassing," she turned to face K, plastering a practiced smile across her face and shoving the uncomfortable feeling back down as she playfully punched his shoulder. "Second, when the hell did you get tall, K? What the hell have they been feeding you, and where can I get some? God damn."
He just laughed, catching her up in a tight hug.
Not knowing what else to do, Z returned it, hoping that her awkwardness wasn't too obvious.
"Word around the scuttlebutt has it that you shot down forty Shriekers and rode a Titan on your last mission," K grinned when he finally pulled back. "Pretty impressive for a shortstack like you, if you ask me."
She snorted and lightly elbowed him in the ribs for that. "Whoever said that was exaggerating. It was more like fifteen Shriekers, and I didn't ride a Titan, I just got really fuckin' lucky with a grenade and a high vantage point."
"Ah, you're too modest, Z. You need to let people hype you up, you know, to drive home how badass and unbeatable Super Earth is!"
Her smile turned tight; she hid it by turning away to shove the rest of her gear into its storage locker and closing the door. If she spun the lock a few times more than was necessary, who would notice?
"You know me," she forced a laugh, "I prefer to keep my head down. If the COs thought I was too competent, they might actually expect things from me."
"They might recommend you to the Helldiver Corps."
"My point exactly," she snickered, "that's the worst possible thing that could happen to someone like me. Let's face it, K, I'm just not cut out for all the public-facing work that job entails."
He gave her a curious, almost disbelieving look that lasted just long enough to grow uncomfortable… then he laughed, clapping her on the shoulder. "You're funny, Z. C'mon, we both know you'd be a natural at it - just look at how great you already are in the regular military!"
"Naaah…"
"No, really! C'mon, you should fill out the application! I sent mine in before I got transferred, hopefully I'll have heard back from them by the time we get back. If you fill one out tonight, you should be getting a reply around the same time! We could even be on the same team! It would be just like when we were kids again!" K gave her a pleading grin, gripping her shoulders and giving her an insistent little shake. "Wouldn't that be great?"
She had to look away. Had to take a moment to smother the twisting sensation in her chest, to take a moment to reapply that same old stage smile, to make sure she was still firmly in the role of the Dutiful And Patriotic Soldier.
When she managed to look back, it was as if she wasn't acting at all.
"…Sure, okay, you convinced me to put my name in for a promotion."
"Great! Awesome!"
"If I get in, dinner's on you, though."
"That won't be a problem."
…Something nudged her shoulder, and Z let out a pained groan. Everything hurt, and her brain felt scrambled… head trauma? Probably. Probably a dozen other traumas, too…
"Hey! She's still alive! D, gimme one of your stims!"
What the hell…?
"Why my stims?"
…Retreating back in through the embrasure…
"Because you still have all three and haven't needed a resupply, now hand one over."
…Arguing with Adze…
"Ugh, fine, but you owe me.*
…The rocket…
"Sure, whatever."
…The fall.
There was the faint click of a stim injector being uncapped, followed by a gloved hand on her forehead as someone tilted her head to the side and pressed the needle to her exposed neck.
And then there was the all-too-familiar pain, burning through her veins like fire as what felt like a very extensive catalog of injuries were knitted back together.
Of course she screamed, and kicked, and swore until the blistering pain subsided and she could think clearly again.
"Son of a fucking bitch…!" Coughing and spitting out leftover blood, Z rolled to her knees and scrubbed at her face with her sleeve; it came away red with even more blood. "Urgh, motherfucker, god damn it…"
"Ma'am?"
Z waved a hand dismissively, pretending to need a moment to catch her breath.
She needed to get into character.
"Thank fucking liberty you guys showed up when you did," she breathed, letting the nearest Helldiver help her to her feet; the way her knees wobbled wasn't an act. "I was sure I was gonna die in there…"
"Ma'am, what happened to you?"
Z just shook her head, stooping a bit to rest her hands on her knees as her entire skull began to buzz from the stimulants and nausea washed over her. Closing her eyes for a moment, she tried to ignore the disturbing amount of blood coloring the snow as she drew in a slow breath.
"No time to explain. When's your Pelican due for extraction?"
"Uh…" The three Helldivers - they must've lost one and not had a chance to reinforce yet - exchanged glances; "not for another half an hour, ma'am. Are you -"
"I'm fine. I just need a gun, I can hold my own for thirty minutes."
"I don't think-"
"Super Earth doesn't pay you to think, Helldiver." Straightening up, she locked gazes with the man who seemed to be taking the lead and stared him down; he was a full head taller than her, but she could see him hesitate. "They pay you to follow orders, and I am a senior officer giving you an order. Do I have to file a report with your Democracy Officer and tell them about how you left me defenseless on the battlefield?"
"I, uh -" The man faltered, fumbling his words, then held a hand out; "D! Peacekeeper, now!"
"What?! Why me again?!"
"Because you're annoying me, liberty damn it! I already said I'd pay you back so quit stalling!"
Muttering something under his breath, the second Helldiver unholstered his sidearm, checked the ammunition, and handed it to the first Helldiver who, in turn, handed it off to her. Z made a show of doing a second once-over, then nodded in approval.
"Good. Cool. Now, let's take care of business, yeah?"
"Right, uh, yes ma'am. And don't worry, we'll make sure those clankers don't lay another rusty hand on you, I swear it."
She smiled; the expression was taut and tense. "I appreciate it."
The three Helldivers took point, laying down cover fire as they followed the base of the plateau; Z hung back a pace, making herself inconspicuous out of habit.
Thirty minutes. She had thirty minutes to extricate herself from this situation.
Fear, resentment, and resolve all warred within her as she stared at the Helldivers' unguarded backs. They didn't know the truth of why she was here, couldn't possibly know, and yet…
If they DID know, they would shoot you where you stand.
For a moment - just a moment - she wondered if she could actually shoot them, though. It was tempting to just slip away and go back to look for Adze, or Bolo, while the Helldivers were looking elsewhere… it certainly would have been easy enough.
But then she thought of Hatchet, with his soft voice and gentle hands, the first person to ever treat her as a person and to show her empathy and compassion. She thought of Bolo and his easygoing nature and companionable chatter. Even Adze and Gi, the prickly bastards, who still afforded her respect when no one else in her life ever had.
She thought about the possibility of losing them.
Or worse, being taken from them.
And the fate awaiting her the moment she set foot on one of those Super Destroyers.
Her resolve won out.
Raising the pistol, she drew a bead on the nearest Helldiver's neck. She gave no warning before pulling the trigger.
He was dead before he hit the ground.
The other two started to turn, startled by the sudden gunshot; she dropped a second Helldiver with two shots through their visor.
That just left "D," who was in the process of raising his rifle - when a bolt of red energy vaporized half of his head. Suddenly slack, like a puppet with cut strings, he dropped to his knees, his rifle tumbling to the ground, before falling on his face in the snow.
With a sharp exhale, Z looked in the direction the last shot had come from, and spotted a Trooper limping in her direction.
His slightly-mismatched optics immediately told her who it was.
"Took you long enough, Two-Tone," she breathed, running a hand through her hair - and wincing when she felt how sticky it was. Her fingers came away covered in clotting blood, and she distantly wondered how close she'd come to not waking up again.
With a grimace, she tucked the Peacekeeper into her belt and took a moment to scoop up a handful of snow, scrubbing it between her hands until the blood was gone and her fingers stung. For a few moment, she was almost oblivious to the not-so-distant sounds of gunfire - until Adze was there and pulling her back to her feet, wordlessly urging her forward.
"H-hey-!" She barely had the presence of mind to catch the strap of D's rifle with her foot, kicking it up so she could catch it with her free hand. "What the deal??"
"Are you forgetting that Hatchet will kill me if anything happens to you," he ground out, "and that something has already happened."
"First off, no, he wouldn't kill you." She extracted her arm from his grip, "second, if you feel guilty for being too distracted to see that rocket until it was too late-"
"I don't-"
"-There are better ways of dealing with it than being a dick-"
A volley of bullets buzzed over their heads, hitting the rock wall in a series of rapid-fire cracks that sent splinters of stone flying in every direction. A handful rattled off of Adze's armor as he grabbed a handful of her coat and yanked her close, all while bringing his gun to bear and returning fire.
Z squeaked and staggered, off-balance for a heartbeat, and then she was shouldering her own gun - it was shaped strangely, not at all like the Liberator she was used to, and it took her an uncomfortable moment to find the proper grip - and pulling the trigger as well.
The near-lack of recoil surprised her. The laser bolts that spat from the muzzle surprised her even more.
"Oh, shit-!" She let out an incredulous laugh, sparing a downward glance at the rifle before resuming fire; "…hah! I think I could get used to this! Uh, Adze…?"
"What, pest?"
"You can let go of me now."
"…" Letting go of her coat, he snatched his hand back and immediately shifted to a two-handed grip on his gun.
With a short nod of acknowledgement, Z moved to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with him and, together, they added their return fire to the blistering barrage of plasma raining down on the battlefield from above.

Seokwoo was habituated to submitting to their excentricities. Giving weird, extravagant commands was part of being on the highest level of the food chain. The crest had a new figure, which finally gave him a thrill. Seokwoo has been in that life for five years now, he had been obeying a graybeard since he started on it. In any case, the new boss was still trying to figure the business out and the accountant was absolutely necessary during such process. Their wealth was ridiculous and there were numerous people to pay, to charge for, to destroy, whatever. She must need a daily dose of painkillers or maybe anything harder, he wondered.
That enormous mansion looked even more oppressive when you get inside. It was Seokwoo first time there, he was left right in front of one of the largest stairs he had ever witnessed. That was not a mansion, that was an actual palace. The handrails made of plaster gave the place an air of Greek mythology that pleasured the man's eyes. He climbed slowly and with a cocky smile. Meanwhile, the cold breeze messed his hair just enough to make him look less uptight.
"Lady is at the indoor pool" a well-mannered housekeeper notified him as soon as he reached the landing.
"Thank you very much. Where may I wait for her?" The accountant calmly asked.
"She is waiting for you there, sir. I'm guiding you toward the pool" She made a head sign and walked.
Seokwoo followed her expectantly, his breathing got irregular and he was afraid of his own appearance. That woman always caused him weird feelings that he could not name. Yet, he could not help wanting more. "fuck, fuck" he repeated inside his mind in hopes the curses could make him feel less flustered.
The immense room where he was conducted to was limited by dark glass walls. He felt the air prevenient from the heated waters hit his face as his eyes looked for the boss. Seokwoo was curious and she was nowhere to be found. The housekeeper left without him noticing, more silent than anything.
There was the boss, nonetheless. You emerged from the underwaters to face him. "Right on time" you murmured to yourself at the sight of that well-dressed guy staring at you. Nothing could be better.
"Thanks for coming, Rowoon" you said after wiping the excess of water from your face with your bare hands.
"Always glad to help, Miss [X]."
"There's a table there, see? You may sit there and open the documents I need to study today".
He assented like a trained puppy and you smirked. The fact that the man was 190 cm tall and still was at your beck and call fascinated you. Maybe you made a point of taking the lead in your father's business only for the sake of meeting him.
You climbed to the deck while Seokwoo setled what he needed on the table. He propped his Macbook on top of the furniture, made of dark glass and sat on a leather-covered cushion. That was more comfortable than it looked. His nostrils jerked as he tried to maintain his breathing healthy.
If only he looked at you as you dried your body. You decide to get closer wearing your bathrobe open. You picked that one-piece swimsuit especially for him: classy and not too revealing, just enough to make him want more. There was a loop that led to your neck, which was quite sensual.
"I know this is not the best place to have a business meeting with you but I'm trying something new. Something about positive reinforcement, you know.
You wanted him, that was sure, but scaring him would not be the right path.
He stared at you while you dragged a chair for yourself and that was evident that he almost forgot to answer.
"No problems, Miss X, I can do whatever is fine for you"
"Whatever" you repeated thoughtfully.
Once more you were by his side, facing those boring Excel spreadsheets. That was a different one, of course. Last time, you promised Rowoon you would study the company obligations until your next meeting. You were not the type to break promises.
"These are the most recent purveyors. Your father- I mean, Mr. X was very interested in those new 'substances'."
The way he avoided speaking 'drugs' was so adorable. Among so many of his traits, the way he chose his words was maybe your favorite. The said substance's name was described right on the screen nonetheless.
"Did he make a good choice?" you were genuinely interested but paid attention to your own voice in order to sound teasing in some way.
"He did. You can see that in this other spreadsheet"
"Great" you smirk biting your fingertip. "Can I ask you something, Rowoon?"
"Anything, lady." he nodded right away. His eyes laid on yours but that was only for a second. You still had a finger between your lips and apparently, that pleasured him.
"Do you think I'll do well regarding the administration of the Company?"
"You are absolutely capable, lady."
His hand softly played with his tie as he tried to control his heartbeat. One more time. You tilted your head and bit your bottom lip.
"But..." you pondered. " I'm a woman. Isn't it an additional concern?"
He gulped.
"I understand, lady. It's usually harder for women and I'm truly sorry for that. Still, you're not a regular woman.
His answer could not be more satisfactory. You uncrossed your legs but was not a calculated gesture. You were feeling hotter, more than expected. That could not be the heater, that thing was coming from inside you.
"Shit" you whispered.
The way the accountant's eyes wisened condemned him.
"Is it too hot for you too?"
"I'm good" he affirmed as his motion said otherwise. His hand loosened his tie right after he voiced that scandalous lie.
"Whatever" you spit, then slid your arms off the robe "Why ain't I a regular woman?"
He took a deep breath and massaged the nape of his neck. He seemed to be struggling against a massive force. Desire hits like a storm.
"The way you make me feel is not normal" he confessed.
Your breath too became difficult. You strengthened your back as if it was not already rigid.
"Do you wanna go away from me?"
"Not at all". Seokwoo could barely close his mouth.
"Do you wanna come closer to me?"
At that question, he dragged his chair backward and stood up, you followed him without any thought. He was clearly split between running away and pulling you against his body. Therefore you reached for his hand and did not stop your robe from dropping on the deck. Now you were exposed and not afraid of loosening him. That was ride or die, you needed that man.
He carefully leaned toward you, closer to your ear and asked:
"Can we study those sheets another day?"

Why Do Some People Need the Term Solromantic?
So, you’ve heard of demiromantic and aromantic, right? But somehow, neither of them quite fits? Maybe you’ve thought:
"I feel kinda demiromantic, but I need a really deep bond. And let’s be honest, some demiromantics don’t need as much depth as I do."
"I feel kinda aromantic, but not really. I do need a bond, but it takes forever to form."
Well, congratulations! You might just be solromantic. It’s like trying to find the right shoe size—too tight, too loose, but then, bam! The perfect fit.
Solromanticism exists because some people need a word that reflects their specific experience of love. It’s not about overcomplicating things; it’s about clarity. Some people form romantic bonds easily, some don’t form them at all, and some (hi, solromantics!) need something extraordinary to make it happen.
So, if you’ve ever felt like romance is a rare, mythical creature that only appears under the most perfect conditions… welcome home.

I'm going to talk about airsoft some more, because I can.
I have a handful of airsoft replicas, seen here are some of them; from top to bottom we have a WE Tech 1911, a Cyberpunk/Spartan Glock 17 Gen 4, an ASG CZ-75 next to a cheap HFC pocket pistol, and a WE Tech Beretta Jetfire.

I have them out because I watched a video where a guy was reviewing an airsoft pistol and said that it just wasn't accurate at 100 feet.
100 Feet
At 100 feet I would expect to use my primary (Like an M4, HK 416, AK, AUG, or FAL) not my secondary close quarters firearm. So I decided to test something, I was going to shoot small targets with aimed shots, at set distances, to see about accuracy over short ranges with a variety of pistols.

Bearing in mind that I am not particularly good with a handgun; a 2 inch circle at 10 feet yields some interesting results. The Glock produces a decent grouping size low in the ring (apart from a single high, but still on target, flyer). The CZ gives me a slightly looser grouping, and above the ring. The 1911 puts in a bafflingly loose group. The Jetfire does surprisingly well, apart from the one that hit the target for the pocket pistol. And the pocket pistol delivered a steaming pile of a non-penetrating grouping just above and left of the 15 foot target, which was not my point of aim.

On the 15 all of the pistols performed roughly on par with each other. Apart from the Jetfire, which I am not sure what happened with.
At 20 feet the groupings get hazier. The Glock is shifting upwards? The CZ is spreading out. And the 1911 is starting to center itself.
25 feet is the weirdest one. The Glock grouping is just AWOL? The CZ is all over the place, I walked them down the target. The 1911 is a low spread except for the the last two that were dead on bullseyes. And the Jetfire is totally off, being under the wrong target, not penetrating, and getting lost in where I was dumping remaining bbs out of magazines.
My conclusion? I would be happy to hit that cardboard at all at 100 feet. And that's fine, that sort of range isn't what these are meant for.

Hareket halindeki dünyada herşeyin değişim içinde olduğunu,değişmeyen insanın var olamayacığını söyleyen Jude Quinn için İngiliz seyircisi tutucuydu.Anlaşılmazlığının oluşturduğu yalnız atmosfer,inzivadaki yaşlı Billy'ye geçiş yapar.Dylan'ı genç Guthrie etkisindeki Jack,şair,rock yıldızı Jude ve canlandırdığı rolün uzağındaki Robie ile ki burda eş ve baba Dylan, görünürdeki karakterlerinin hepsinin uzağında kayıp bir kişilik(belki de kişiliksizlik)örneğidir,Bob Dylan'ı kurgu-bulgu araçlarıyla destekleyerek lirik ve akıcı bir görsel dille anlatır, mükemmel Mr.Jones kurgusu örneğine az rastlanan nitelikte.Tüm bunlar onun için yeterli olmamış olsa gerek,yaşlı Billy'nin uzun inzivasından sonra tepeden baktığı manzarada şaşkınlığa uğrayarak neyi gördüğünü merak ettiğimiz sahnede kameranın tepeciklere yönelmesiyle gittikçe sesi yükselerek tekrarlanan "two riders were approaching,two riders were approaching.."kelimeleri iki sürücünün yaklaşmakta olduğunu imgeler. Karakter dizaynındaki başarısının yanında, sinema dilindeki şahsına ait formları hazır ortamını da bulmuşken çok çok iyi kullanıyor.
Burdan itibaren yaşlı Billy'nin yaşadığı evin yakınındaki, yatırımcıların hedefi olan kasabanın halkının onlardan istenen boşaltma kararının yaşamlarında oluşturduğu zorlukların içinde buluruz kendimizi.Dylan'ın çok sevdiği halk kahramanı Billy the Kid'in hayatını konu alan 73 yapımı PatGarrett&Billy the Kid westen'i Billy'nin yakın dostu olan Garrett'ın New Mexico baronlarının şerifi olma görevini üstlenerek Billy'yi kanun kaçağı ilan ederek yakalayıp yok etmesini anlatır.Halkın derin üzüntüsüne yol açan bu olayı Garrett'ı canlandıran James Coburn'un harika performansı ve Dylan'ın müzikleriyle yukarılara taşıyarak işleyen filmde Dylan ufak bir rol alır.Yıllar içersinde Dylan'ın Knockin'On Heaven's Door'u ile anılan bir film haline gelir.Yaşlı Billy inzivadan dönüşünde bıraktığı kasabadaki durumun daha da kötü hale gelişiyle yüzleşir.Eş zamanlı olarak Rimbaud'dan saklanmanın 7 kuralını dinler,dünyanın sorunlarını görmezden gelen profilini çevresine kabul ettirmeye çalışan Robie'yi görür ve Mr.Jones'un Jude Quinn'i incelediği Culture Beat'i izleriz,Elektrik müziğin yükselişiyle Quinn'in müziğinin içtenliği kaybolmuştur.O orta sınıf bir ailenin eğitimli çocuğuydu.
Kasabada izlediğimiz cenaze sahnesi Jim James ve Soundrack albüme damgasını vuran Calexico'nun şahane Goin'to Acopulco performansı eşliğinde etkileyiciliğinin yanısıra filmde değinilmeyen Rolling Thunder turnesi boyunca sahneye yüzünü beyaza boyarayak çıkan Dylan'a atıfta bulunur.Cenazenin ardından sahneye çıkan yaşlı Pat Garrett kasabanın tahliye şartlarını açıklar,maskeli şekilde itiraz eden Billy'yi tanır.Garret ve BBC Müdürü Mr.Jones tarihin ve yaşayan tarihin değişmeyen Big Brother'larıydı.Billy trene binerek kaçar,Robie Claire'nin şartlarını kabul ederek gider,kendini anlamsızlığın eşiğinde hisseden,sonunun Woody gibi olmasını istemeyen Jude kaza geçirir.

Gospel şarkıcısı olma yolundaki Rollins,Gateway Kilisesi’nde altı ayını geçirmiştir.Jack'in sessizliğe karışıp saklanışı muhteşem 'Pressing On' şarkısıyla kilise sahnesinde açığa kavuşur.Christian Bale'in bu sahnede saç stili ve şarkıya uyumunun filmin en eğlenceli bulduğum kısmı olduğunu söylemeliyim,neredeyse American Hustel'daki performansı kadar canlandırıcı bir etki yaratıyor,ikinci rolüne daha etkileyici biçimde bürünüyordu.Rock'n Roll bir şeytan işiydi,Amerikan insanı İsa'yı anlayarak özgürlüğü bulacaktı.
Çelişkiler ve kaos,gerçekliğin sadece bir yüzü vardır.
Doğaya her zaman aykırıydım,tek doğal şey rüyalardır,doğanın çürütemediği şeyler.Ben orda değilim,gittim.Uyanıp kalktığımda başka biri oluyorum,bir günde değişebilirim.
Jude Quinn en çok Mr.Jones'un sorularında zorlanmış ancak bu soruları önemsemişti."Senin hakkında senin benim hakkımda bilebileceğinden çok daha fazla şey biliyorum ben"dediği cevabında bilinmenin ve tanımlanmanın belki de en istemediği şey olduğunu ifade etmişti.Yedinci kural:Hiçbir şey yaratmayın,insanlar yanlış anlayacaktır.
Yazıda sık sık bahsettiğim,filmin soundtrack'i Calexico,Cat Power,Eddie Vedder,Karen O,Mark Lenegan,Ramblin'Jack Elliot,Sonic Youth,The Band,Ya La Tengo gibi grup ve sanatçıların Dylan şarkılarının kendilerine özgün performanslarından oluşan,özenle hazırlanmış muazzam bir albüm.

Bob Dylan değişen dünyanın yok ediciliğinin onu tanımlamak olduğunu çok önceden sezinlemişti.Saklandı,değişik kimliklerle tekrar ortaya çıktı,müziğini,sahne formunu değiştirdi,farklı sanatçı ve gruplarla çaldı,onların ilhamı oldu.Stüdyoda geçirdiği süreler ve kaydettiği albümlerle rekor sayıları zorladı.Sahnenin rolden role bürünen oyuncusu var olmaya devam etti,şiirlerini her zaman söyledi.Rolling Thunder'da yüzünü boyayarak çıktığı sahnede dünyayı protesto etti ve Hurricane'i söyledi.Todd Haynes bu çok katmanlı kişiliği ve müziğini perdeye çok özenli ve stilize biçimde, karakter skalasını ustalıkla oluşturarak,görsel anlatımın değişik formlarını kullanarak,bir gizem ve soru işaretlerini oluşturmayı da elden bırakmayarak,"kişilik kaleidoskopisi"diye tanımlanabilecek şekilde taşıyordu.
