rustbloods: 7/10 the megidos give them such a boost it feels wrong to label them as anything else, but honestly the hiveswap rusts are lacking and if I weren't Extremely Biased they'd get a lower score. they're okay just like. not comparable jrjdjskwkq

bronze: 3/10 sorry. skyllas okay but she's also just literally troll applejack

gold: 8/10 gonna have to mark some points down for Asshole Crimes but I enjoy each of them and wish they had like more screen time. also they're objectively the coolest caste bye

olive: 5/10: again wish they had more screentime but they're not bad characters

jade: 10/10 Like As a group. 8/10 as individual characters. think the jades were scorned in act two but before that they all had a really interesting dynamic and the maryam's are obviously like, incredible and I'd never give them anything less than perfect.

teal: 7/10 they have the appeal of the jades but if instead of found family you want found lawyers terezis flawless though

cobalt: 8/8. lol

indigo: 4/10 sorry they're all kind of gross.

purple: 8/10 i don't like abt half of the purples but I do think there so interesting as a caste and (BAD) staple of alternian society

violets: 1/10 I like the aesthetics sometimes but ugh. not a single one makes it worth it

fuschia: 6/10 meenah and hic are cool but I wish we got more info on either that wasn't super vague since....I know there's cool stories and lroe abt Being The Empress and shit that we just didn't really get to see. a shame

Hi, random anon here :) I just wanted to tell you that I've really enjoyed your little contractor au. The story is super interesting and it's obvious you put a lot of thought into it. I love all the fluff (and angst), and I always get so excited when you reply to asks with sketches/extra lore as well. Especially with Hattie and Snatcher. Plus, it's great that you've been enjoying creating content for it. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the story and seeing more art from you :D

yeah yeah!! I love replying and talking about it! TBH I’m really bad at not giving spoilers away because i just want to talk about everything i have planned out, so the asks i get let me do that but im still able to keep some really MAJOR things secret even with all the bonus lore! (dear gods tho the amount of lroe thats never going to be released-- anon please understand i have literal pages written out that will most likely never make it to the real fic cuz it’s about like Estelle and Marcus or Celeste and Vanessa or heck even eclipse’s childhood. like i have this thing with her im trying my damndest to figure how im gonna put it in because its kinda important for why shes like she is. i hinted to it briefly already in the last chapter but not sure if i can put the actual thing in)

Plus it lets me get this info i may not get to put into the actual fic out and fun little moments!! And doing all the sketches helps me as an artist no lie cuz it helps me keep in practice! I’m drawing more now with this fic than I was when i was home all the time (but then again i was building a puppet--)

Also I’m a sucker for a good angst fluff-- like my sister and I when we are in the car to the store or stuff compare angst. she always jabs at me cuz ill say shit like:

“yeah she watched her entire clan be murdered in front of her and she could do nothing but watch! then she got shackled and forced to stay in the horizon 8D” with a big fucking smile.

(but she also does angst so she cannot judge meee >:U)

I cannot say how very much im enjoying the content creation. like. Im never sure how to word just how exciting it is for me. Like theres a level of engagement ive been getting thats really nice??

just. people taking an interest in the little things is really pecking great!! Plus people joking on stream and stuff has been super fun! I love talking to people even if im bad at it! Like because people engage on stream I was able to work up the energy to talk to a friend in a vocal call (I get tired easily with verbal communication. and calls can stress me out due to the fact i have some hearing issues)

Plus this is a little selfish/selfcentered but like. Since I’ve been doing the au, i noticed even my OC stuff gets some attention it didn’t used to. and that makes me really happy. Like don’t get me wrong i adore my aus and stuff but i have a special warm spot for my OCs (I mean damn i threw my fav oc into the au just cuz her job fits what i needed)

also i will die for dadtcher so im gonna just. keep filling the dadtcher spot i need to fill with the noodle man. Like originally in the fic it was gonna be more drawn out for them to grow attached but i was like... naw dadtcher. (his romance tho is gonna be a lil slow burn.)

Currently working on chapter 6 and making noodle man suffer!

andddddd another lair review for @clinic-crew ! It’s under the cut once again~

First things first, I started with the first dragon in your lair! As always~ Stephane is such a lovely looking double gloom! The throat gradient from gloom to charcoal glimmer is just super perfect, and his spinner brings in a nice mix of a newer, lighter color into the mix. It lets you match his gossamer silks and the moonlight lace headpiece so nicely! I checked out his lore, and he’s a dance instructor? that’s really cool! Hehe i also like that he’s a flirt who runs a dance class (and a pole dancing class), that’s very funny. The fact that he’s the “resort” dance instructor caught my eye, so I went to your clan profile to see if you had any clan info, but you didn’t, so I guess we’ll see about that resort :0c

Next, Vera caught my eye! She doesn’t have any lore, but she’s jsut gorgeous! Like wow, I am not usually a fan of Bar, but she’s really rocking that Orca Bar. The bubblegum spinner is so lovely and cheery in a bright way, too! SHe’s kinda pastel goth, huh? She looks real good :0 The cream underbelly is super soft looking, and she just looks great! I love the silver sylvan stuff on her, it’s so elegant looking. I also adore the headpiece- the Orca Bar gives her that black marking around her eyes which makes her look just a bit sneaky and mysterious, or maybe kind of witchy- especially with her beautiful piercing ice eyes. They match the rest of her orca so well. That accent looks so lovely on her wings, it matches her overall soft and lovely looking aesthetic, but it stands out enough from her wings to be noticeable. All the flower apparel matches her accent so well, too! Ahh she’s just lovely!! do you have any lore plans for her? I bet she’d be a lovely gardener.

The lovely coatl next to her, odyssey is so pretty! I can’t resist beautiful coatls ahh. Another lovely gal with Orca, too! Are you a big Orca fan? Her accent is so lovely and spacey, a perfect match for her wing silks and her clan position. She’s rocking that full set of Night sky silks, and I love the Fillet layering she has on. You don’t see a lot of fillet layering, and its so striking and lovely on her it makes me wonder why not :0 I also love making your clan astronomer a double moon- that’s great, both aesthetically and just name wise. It’s very fun on a meta level. Hehe I also love her lore! Usually starmappers are sweet, bookish, ethereal type dragons, so I love seeing her as this rowdy, raunchy gal. That little bit of lroe about her previous room also has me curious- was it an exalted dragon who lived there before her, or someone who moved away? It’s very curious. She’s so great and fun!

Next up is Miracle, because I used to have an emberling permababy too!! how funny! She’s so cute ahhh. What a little sweetheart! I like that she uses her emberling natural powers to keep the nursery warm and help to take care of the egg since she’s a little emberling! That’s really cute and really good lore. It’s cute to have a runt who helps to take care of the hatchlings! so cute~ She seems like she works really hard at it! It makes me wonder how she got the job- was it just because she can control the temperature, or does she work really well with hatchlings? Did she start working with them when she was still a hatchling, or once she was a little older? Oh, and how did she get adopted? Or find the clan? Haha sorry to pepper you with questions, her bio just made me really curious! :0 I also love that she does makeup and cosplay tutorials is cute- what kind of stuff does she cosplay? Hehe she should cosplay the flamecaller, that’d be cute :p

Next up, Ambrosia! Like I said, I just can’t resist beautiful pastel and spacey coatls. Another beautiful flowery coatl~ Metallic/Alloy can be really hard to work with pastels since it can bring in all of those darks and can make the dragon look dark and muddled, but I actually think it looks really nice on him! It’s a unique and hard to pull off look :0 I loveeee that spassow accent on him, I think that’s what really pulls him together most, it’s a wonderful choice for him~ It matches the huge highlights on the wings that mist alloy brings in so nicely that I almost thought that was part of the accent for a second- it’s that great of a match! Normally I’d be a bit ehh about greens on purples, but the dryad guise looks lovely on him, and since it matches his accent and his little bird, it makes this coherent, flower fairy type look! I love all the flower apparel too, and the simple jewlery. He’s simple but he has a very coherent and lovely look.

Graverobber has such an interesting name so I had to go clock on him!! That gif makes me think that he might be a fan dragon for something? I don;t recognize that character/show/whatever though :0 He’s lovely though- sky/midnight/midnight with those gorgeous matching eyes is a dragon to die for. Iri shim belly may be a well used combo, but that’s because it’s just so good lookin!! And it’s very good looking on him- I love XYYs, I know XXYs are the more popular choice but a good xyy is just so freaking nice, you know??? the tert matching the wings but contrasing the body is a good look. He doesn’t have a lot of apparel, but it all looks so lovely on him, and I LOVE that accent- the little eye make up, the stripes of color, and the cool looking vials- its very rad. A custom? Either way, he wears it well enough that it could have been made for him. He’s just gorgeous!

Next up, Arya! Wow, she’s got two really serious and hardcore aesthetics going on, huh, the icey looking gembond, plus the sash and the collar, and that icey winter wind! It’s so very icey! But then She’s got that ivory primary and the light accent that makes her feel so much like a Light dragon! That’s so cool ahh I really love it- I’ve never really seen a dragon dressed up like this before, I don’t think. The Light/Ice aesthetics go together pretty well, and it also feels like melting ice, or new spring or something to that regard. I also love that gloomwillow guide on her- it matches thsoe lovely shadow eyes and that lavender secondary she’s got, and she’s just got a lot of really nice stuff going on. If this dragon was just described to me, I might think she’d look a little weird but her look is actually incedibly coherent! Oh dang and she’s a 6 digit too!! Those are LOVELY colors ona  6 digit, danggg. Shes amazing!

Last, I clicked on Ciara! She looks a lot like Arya, are they a couple? THat’d be super cute hehe. Wow, I’m not a big ridgeback fan but I just ADORE her accent. Another spassow, of course haha. Almost makes me want a ridgeback to put it on!! (almost haha) The pastel lace headpiece matches her so perfectly too, both her and Arya would look lovely in more of the pastel lace stuff ahh. It’s a perfect match for her colors!! Hehe I love that you describe her as a sailor scout, that’s great xp She’s such a fancy, lacey bodyguard :0 I like that she’s super strong but also wears lace and ribbons and roses and nice jewlery, and is surrounded by flowers. How perfect!!
