the time I trained for a year to ride my bike 545 miles from San Francisco to LA over 7 days for the #aidslidecycle. one of the most amazing, eye opening, heart wrenching and challenging events I've ever participated in. anytime I stumble upon tough times, I think about my experience and how I can do anything through faith and self motivation. #alc2014 #tbt

Yesterday @primo_duke, #brigittekelli and myself got to cheer my brother Will @wrobrien and his boyfriend Doug @ddimartile1 at the #ALC2014 finish line. Their team #funkymonkey raised over $700,00 and rode 543 miles, San Francisco to LA, all in the name of AIDS research. SO PROUD OF YOU BOTH!! XO Happy Pride!!!#happypridela2014

My ride across California was filled with such inspiring people. This man dressed as a "Chicken Lady," riding 545 miles in a dress and pink windbreaker on a yellow bike covered in rubber chickens. On the hardest parts of the ride, he'd hide eggs filled with inspirational messages and small baby chicks, then continue to ride on.

On the last day of the ride, we each found the egg pictured banded to our bike seats. 

This is proof that the smallest of efforts can make anything change. What are we here for but to help each other reach our best? And what is our best but inspiring others to be better?
