Week 44 of missing Cipher Academy

I don’t like hate reading things, but I’m so morbidly curious about Drama Queen that I’m going to keep checking it out for now…but it’s on extremely thin ice. As per my “author is just a little stupid” theory, the cliffhanger tease about this organization tracking down the protagonists in order to stop them is such a blatant setup for a twist that it’s almost laughable. I’m betting that they’re some secret government organization that’s been fighting back against the secretly evil aliens this whole time or some shit like that. Not only is it stupid and racist, it’s just boring.

Undead Unluck served as a very welcome palate cleanser, as we get a reaffirmation of everyone’s determination AND THE RETURN OF AKIRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY HERE TO WITNESS YOUR HEROS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

My friend and I threw a birthday party and had ourselves a little harmoe Blu-ray marathon… We managed to get through canvas sessions I – III, theater stage I, and the This is harmoe world tour, and it was all so so so good. harmoe are just divinely beautiful, and their songs and choreo are all really fun too. It’s honestly insane how they have the energy to perform for two hours straight…

Saturday

The power went out so I caught up on some Dropout episodes I had downloaded and…I unfortunately did not have fun with the first two Make Some Noise episodes I watched (to the point where I had to stop watching them halfway through). I don’t know, I just wasn’t vibing with the comedians I suppose, but even the prompts felt weaker than usual. I did really like the episode with Ify, Carl, and Zeke, though – I loved how they played off of each other’s energies and I laughed a lot. And normally I don’t care about who “wins” or whatever, but I thought Carl’s win was really deserved because he perfectly fit into every scene he was in and became whatever the scene called for.

I also watched the Smosh episode of Dirty Laundry, and it was just alright… I’ve tried watching Neo Smosh stuff before, but I’ve just never really connected with any of it. They had some funny stories here and there, but – and this is admittedly silly of me – I got a little irritated at how bad they were at playing the game LOL Which is completely not even the real point of the show, but seeing them all guess the same person and being wrong just makes it feel like they don’t actually know each other that well at all, and takes away some of the fun of strategizing and reading each other in the room. There wasn’t much banter between them in general, which made for a pretty lowkey episode.
