Appmon Ep51 Liveblog
The God-grade Appmon have been gobbled up by Leviathan, but not all is lost! A quick phone call with Grandpa Deneimon reveals that there’s still a way to fight: destroy Leviathan’s physical body!
time for a Stephen Hawking quote
the penultimate episode is a round style one! though, if i remember right, it stops being round like halfway through.
I noticed this before but kept forgetting to mention it - the App Drivers were in the sea of the net all night again. it was evening when Yujin defeated Bootmon and made the AR Field crunble, and now it’s daylight out. but this time, luckily, their parents actually noticed that they were missing. also, L-Corp’s workers had no idea that this was Leviathan’s plan— Yujin’s mom even seems to feel betrayed when she realizes what’s happening.
Watson’s final suffering
alas, poor Ai. she has a good excuse for not being involved this time since she does spend a lot of time helping out at the bookstore, but still.
wonder why old phones are such a big thematic in Appmon... Deneimon calls the group using an old dial phone, and there’s still those mysterious Leviathan-brand phones that sit around in the AR Field.
wandering around places that would normally be packed with people is a pretty weird and off-putting feeling, and they did a good job conveying that by leaving a bunch of stuff lying around and by having the App Drivers specifically go to a place that they know is usually bustling. bet the animators had a field day not having to draw a lot of crowd shots, though.
the Appmon are fine! they’re just being digested. no problem.
hmmm Deneimon says that Leviathan is doing all this just to gain more information and become an even more advanced AI, but seeing how as all of Leviathan’s minions talk a big game about creating a world without suffering, it seems like Deneimon doesn’t actually have the full story & is automatically assuming the worst of Leviathan.
the roulette selection thing is really interesting cause it explains why Appmon both like to host competitions and why they all have combat capabilities despite just being living representations of apps. they all have the instinct to improve themselves, like Leviathan, so they do that by hosting competitions and battling.
also why is Deneimon saying that Leviathan made the Appmon.......... I could’ve sworn they said earlier in the series that Minerva was the one that made them. unless he’s refering to Appmon specifically made by Leviathan, but not Appmon as a species? like any app that L-Corp made, like the fighting game that Eri sponsored as a part of Appliyama, would have an Appmon, so you could consider those ones as made by Leviathan.
raising the buddy Appmon was like a double-edged sword. doing so played right into Leviathan’s hands, but at the same time it wouldn’t be possible to even try to stop Leviathan without raising them to be as strong as possible.
so when the buddy Appmon jump out of the God-grade Appmon, does that mean that Navimon and Timemon and all the other fusion components are still in there being digested?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this exchange is the funniest thing. Hackmon tells Musimon to cut that out and Musimon instantly grabs Hackmon’s head
no offense Offmon but I wouldn’t really say you tried to stop Yujin. you questioned him once and then called it a day and went and beat up Haru. like, I’d still say that Offmon’s evolutions’ continued compliance is due to Offmon being a little too loyal to Yujin, but like, if you want to actually try and stop someone you’ve gotta not obey them.
Minerva was a satellite the whole time! that’s why most episodes start out with a satellite’s view of the earth. i thought that was very clever when I first figured that out.
now everyone has 10 minutes to put the plan into action! this show loves time limits, doesn’t it?
yeah the art style looks different now. dissapointing. so, that means that this episode had two key animators/animation directors.
yeah!! get him Eri!!! technically that was a dokkan kick but whatever!!!
LMAO as soon as I typed that then Astora pointed out that it was actually a kick
when I previously said that Haru’s sense of self-preservation in the face of heroism would get dangerously low, this is what I was talking about. he literally jumps off a building with a hastily put together bungee coord to set the antenna into place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this part is really hype! like literally all of it!
rip Haru

Significant COVID-19 Impact on Educational Robots | Semiconductors and Electronics Industry | Data Bridge Market Research

COVID-19 Impact on Educational Robots in Semiconductors and Electronics Industry
The COVID-19 virus originated in China in late 2019 was a massive blow to the world, spreading rampantly and hitting every nation. The largest economies have been hit and slowed down, forcing everyone to quarantine and fight for their lives. The worst-hit countries being the U.S. and followed by India, Brazil, and major European countries, which drive the world economy has caused an economic slowdown.
Economic activity among advanced economies shrank 7% in 2020 as domestic demand and supply, trade, and finance have been severely disrupted. Emerging market and developing economies (EMDEs) are expected to shrink by 2.5% this year, their first contraction as a group in at least sixty years. Per capita incomes are expected to decline by 3.6%, which will tip millions of people into extreme poverty this year.
The pandemic has forced many activities to be remote, and the work from home culture is developed. Like every activity the education sector has also taken, the remote approach and e-learning have been rising in this pandemic situation. While countries are at different points in their COVID-19 infection rates worldwide, there are currently more than 1.2 billion children in 186 countries affected by school closures due to the pandemic. Even before COVID-19, there was already high growth and adoption in education technology, with global edtech investments reaching USD 18.66 billion in 2019 and the overall market for online education projected to reach USD 350 Billion by 2025. Whether it is language apps, virtual tutoring, video conferencing tools, or online learning software, there has been a significant surge in usage since COVID-19.
Platforms such as BYJU’S, a Bangalore-based educational technology and online tutoring firm founded in 2011, have become world’s most highly valued edtech company. Since announcing free live classes on its Think and Learn app, BYJU’s has seen a 200% increase in the number of new students using its products. Ten cent classroom, meanwhile, has been used extensively since mid-February after the Chinese government instructed a quarter of a billion full-time students to resume their studies through online platforms. This resulted in the largest “online movement” in the history of education, with approximately 730,000, or 81% of K-12 students, attending classes via the Ten cent K-12 Online School in Wuhan.
The online education market has seen a significant rise amidst the pandemic, but education is only learning or theoretical based. There is still a majority of the education, which is practical based or hands-on training, facing many difficulties. What previously had been a hands-on, manual process has often become, in this 4IR world, a technology-assisted, robotic or virtual practice. For instance, telemedicine, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR) technologies are now essential tools in health care. They supplant some of the physical and manual diagnostic practices of the past. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is a way of describing the blurring of boundaries between the physical, digital, and biological worlds. It’s a fusion of advances in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), 3D printing, genetic engineering, quantum computing, and other technologies. It’s the collective force behind many products and services that are fast becoming indispensable to modern life.
Co-founder of Digital Bodies Maya Georgieva summarizes the change succinctly: “We’re moving from the information age to the experience age.” As every field moves into the new 4IR era, the adoption and application of the new and emerging technologies are changing expectations and opportunities for the new college graduates.
Educational Robot
One such training-based sector is the educational robots used to train engineering graduates in their application and working as Educational Robots range from small kits that can be built at home for kids and a great entry point for the robotics sector to the more advanced industrial robots with robust mechanisms and sophisticated software to control the movements. The robotics kit market is on the rise as the educational institutes are shifted to E-Learning and access to the institute laboratories is impossible. The robotics kit being cheap and affordable is the focus for distance education as each student can own a kit of the basic components for practice. The educational robot market and is poised to grow by 590.82 thousand units during 2020-2024, progressing at a CAGR of almost 28%.
BLUE FROG ROBOTICS & BUDDY, fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG, Innovation First International Inc., LEGO System AS, Make block, Modular Robotics Incorporated, PAL Robotics, Pitsco Inc., ROBOTIS Co. Ltd., and SoftBank Group Corp., are some of the major market participants.
By 2022, an operational stock of almost 4 million industrial robots is expected to work in factories worldwide. These robots will play a vital role in automating production to speed up the post-Corona economy. The positive effects of the pandemic are the growing interest in robotics and automation. Industrial sectors and organizations that had been reluctant to invest in this technology are showing renewed interest. Additionally, the IFR has registered an increased number of media requests resulting in an all-time high in press citations. Robots will play a vital role in automating production and accelerating the post-pandemic economy. At the same time, robots are driving the demand for skilled workers. Governments and companies worldwide must focus on providing the right skills necessary to work with robots and intelligent automation systems.
Conclusion
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit many industries forcing remote work, which is beneficial for the IT industry but very detrimental for the manufacturing sector. The manufacturing industry equipped with remote work capabilities such as industries revolutionized by industry 4.0, were less affected comparatively. The core of industry 4.0 is the use of robots and IoT, which is new to many and the educational institutes are equipping themselves with this new technology. The educational robots that were on the rise before the pandemic have been hit, and industrial robotics is stagnant amidst which the small robotics kit industry is on the rise as it is affordable and can be acquired by individual students. Many industries are adopting automation and robotics and require a skilled workforce equipped with the same knowledge. This has given a boost and motivation to many educational institutes to adopt robotics in the curriculum.
Although the market is stagnant for the educational robots market amidst the pandemic, it is forecast to rise exponentially in the next few years.

appmon afterthoughts
appmon is finally over! it’s been a great journey. ;v; i drop shows easily when watching them week by week so i prefer binge-watching them at once, so appmon is the first show of this length that i managed to watch as it aired all the way through! (i dropped off somewhere in neovamdemon’s arc when trying to keep up with xros wars, haha. i did go back and finish it after that though!)
my personal preference of seasons: frontier > adventure > *appmon* > savers > 02 > hunters > tamers > tri > xros wars (as usual i still love all the seasons!! this is just if i had to rank them. i won’t deny that the 7 death generals arc was a bit of a drag for me though..)
here are my (LONG and incoherent) thoughts after watching the series, spoilers under the cut.
characters: - gosh i love the main cast so much!! ;v; i’m also glad that the appmon get a fair amount of characterisation and focus too (though still not as much as their human buddies), i feel there are times when digimon gives focus to the humans but in turn sacrifice some of the focus that their monster partners get. - i live for character interactions, so while i’m glad that haru/eri/astra interact with each other a lot, it’s a bit disappointing to see how little interaction rei and yuujin get with eri and astra. :( and hackmon never really interacts with the others much, or at all..i like hackmon, but it’d be nice to see him talk to someone other than rei for once. - i love the character growth in this season so much ;; possibly just behind frontier. eri and astra’s growth wasn’t as overt possibly due to how they express their personalities, but they throw a lot of it about the ‘filler’ eps and it all comes together really nicely. haru gets visibly stronger and more confident throughout the show, and rei’s change in reaction to his applidrive’s “are you alone?” question alone says so much. - on that note, i LOVE how they handled yuujin’s question (would you give your life up for a friend). in the end, it’s not those flashy scenes where you take a fatal hit for someone, but yuujin giving his life up not just to save humanity, but more importantly to save haru from having to shoulder the heavy burden of actually making the choice to kill yuujin. i thought that was a really powerful scene and it really got to me. - (shipping) haru and rei...i don’t care if it’s romantic or platonic or whatever i just love seeing them interact so, so much. people who know i like other pairs like seliph/ares, aichi/kai, etc...it’s the same pattern, nice pure boy gets the brooding edgy jerk to open up. i am a predictable person lol
story: - there are a lot of fillers. (but what is a digimon season without fillers?) i like fillers myself (probably why i like hunters when many people hate it), but i read the wtw comment threads every week and you get tons of complaints every time it hits a filler ep, and i can somewhat understand their frustration. appmon can be a drag to watch if you’re the kind who hates fillers. (i don’t deny a few fillers like the maripero ep did bore me though) - appmon does handle the main plot progression better than hunters though, despite the still whack pacing, and the fillers still tend to have nice character bits/growth. i love hunters but i won’t defend its absolute disregard for plot then trying to cram everything in at the last minute haha. still there are a number of unanswered questions..while i do agree that not all questions necessarily need answering, they can still provide deeper insight to characters. - personally, i liked how they kept the lightheartedness of the story while touching on salient AI-related issues. but while they bring up some very interesting issues, i don’t feel like they addressed them satisfactorily (at least from my pov)? leviathan’s aim with the humanity applification plan was to eradicate problems like conflict, disease, and human error from humanity, which is in a way even backed up by haru’s grandpa, who mentions “being data is great! without a physical body, one has no need to worry about injuries or sickness”, coming from someone who died in part because of sickness. you can see where the protags are coming from, but they never really address these ‘benefits’ of the humanity applification plan and how the benefits of not going through with the plan would outweigh the benefits of going through. - app-fusion might work well as a game mechanic, but i think it only serves to detract from the story in the anime, at least the way it is right now. for two series whose evolution is centred around fusion, xros wars handles fusion much better, utilising more creativity in both using and fusing the ‘fodder digimon’. appmon just tends to forget its fodder appmon exist. i personally think that appmon would be better off if its app-fusions were treated as simple evolutions instead (that’s pretty much how they treat the buddy appmon anyway; globemon is pretty much treated as ‘evolved gatchmon’, rather than an actual fusion of dogatchmon and timemon), that way you don’t get the nagging feeling that the fusion fodder appmon are just..fodder. - speaking of app-fusion, i have to say i personally prefer the more emotion-driven evolutions from the earlier seasons, rather than the evolutions achieved by getting the correct chip as we see in appmon. it makes sense from a gameplay perspective, but in context of the anime it feels..less impactful, i guess? i just always love seeing the bonds between the humans and their partners get tested, and become even stronger. - on an unrelated note, i find it funny that the show has a subplot involving two computer genius brothers and the cicada 3301 thing, mainly because i have a FDD story centered around the same idea (that i don’t make progress on at all. it probably looks like an appmon ripoff now but i don’t care haha)
designs: - i love the standard grade main appmon designs, they’re all so cute ;w; they have this distinct style in mind and i think they pulled it off well. (i’ve warmed up to musimon’s design A LOT from when he was first revealed, but i do still think it could be slightly less cluttered) - the ultimate grades are PERFECT, they’re some of my favourite digimon designs and possibly one of my favourite ‘group’ of designs out of protagonist digimon!! (possibly only bested by the frontier beast spirits and maybe the savers ultimates/tamers adults? haha) i just...yes. they’re amazing. i love them so so SO much - i’m not a fan of the direction they took with the god grades (maybe because i love the ultimate grades too much lol). all the gold didn’t sit too well with me either, maybe because we already had so much gold in xros wars? i do think they make great ‘final forms’ for the protagonist mons, but personally i still greatly prefer all their other forms to their god forms. i’m a bit more partial to hadesmon than the others because i LOVE jesmon, but hm...hadesmon still looks a lot more gaudy..like jesmon’s gaudy little brother. hahaha - i think the level system is a nice simplification from digimon. hopefully this means we can see appmon in future digimon games..they would be easier to implement than xw digimon anyway, haha;;
animation: - like many others i was skeptical about the making of higher-grade appmon 3DCG at first, though it eventually grew on me. the fights between 3DCG appmon were nicely done, but seeing the difference in animation between the 2D characters and 3DCG appmon was jarring, especially in shots where they’re together, mostly because of the framerate..the 3DCG appmon are animated on 1s? while the humans are animated on 3s like normal anime, it’s a big difference. thankfully most 3DCG fights don’t bring in the humans much. - the models/3D animation are still pretty well done! and i appreciate that they didn’t render them cel-shaded like what most anime do with 3D models (i remember translating the appmon interview mentioning why they did this, before appmon started airing; i was skeptical but now i can see what they were going for and i think it turned out well!) - after watching appmon i think 3DCG is a nice move for toei though, because we all know toei’s animation quality...could be better? hahaha. but i find toei’s weakness isn’t so much layout/choreography, but more of sometimes poorly-drawn frames, bad timing, or too little inbetweens, some of which are solved with 3DCG. you can especially see the contrast with digimon tri’s fight scenes; highly detailed digimon like jesmon for example would’ve benefited greatly from 3DCG, i know how painful it is to translate all of its details to 2D animation but as you can see it results in quite a number of not-as-nicely drawn frames. - special mention to charismon because i really like how he was modeled/rigged. those eyes!! can you imagine duskmon in 3D doing that and with those creepy sound effects too. - i’m not a huge fan of the palettes used in the AR-fields..(i didn’t like how the digiquartz was depicted that much either, and their depictions are quite similar so yeah) i can definitely see the effect they’re going for, but it felt more ‘kiddy alien-ish’ than ‘digital’ to me.
music: - i found the music quite ok (i liked DiVE!! and BE MY LIGHT though!), but i guess it didn’t match up to my personal tastes as much :x sadly appmon might be the lowest of the digimon seasons when it comes to music for me, i liked that endings are back! but the songs themselves didn’t captivate me as much as the previous seasons’ ending songs did. - on that note i’m glad they put in an insert song though! i guess i’m just really big on insert songs in digimon because as a kid i printed out the lyrics to brave heart and the other evo songs and loved singing along when they played in the show. lol - i remember complaining about this when the first episode aired, and my opinion still hasn’t changed 52 eps in. i CANNOT stand the applidrive voice at all hahaha (and the speed-up effect they use when app-linking/fusing) - the character songs are cute!! i’m personally really glad they decided to make them :) - the background music was pretty nice and had some memorable tracks..i’m not quite sure how i’d compare it to the rest? i liked all the soundtracks so far, though xros wars’ and frontier’s osts stood out especially for me.

How the latest iOS update made the iPhone 11's camera even better
The iPhone 11 Pro Max camera got an upgrade with the latest software update. (Stan Horaczek/)
It’s hard to tell what’s going on inside smartphone cameras. Every time you push the button to take a picture, a whole computerized Rube Goldberg-style chain of events kicks off with the goal of capturing as much image information as humanly possible. That way, powerful processors can cram it all together into a single cherished memory or hilarious snap of a turtle biting your buddy’s finger.
This week, Apple introduced its new Deep Fusion camera tech for the iPhone 11 as part of the iOS 13.2 software update. For the average user, photos taken under certain conditions will now look more detailed and slightly less noisy. There's no indicator in the app like there is with Camera mode, so you won't even know it's working. But, those somewhat granular improvements took some serious engineering—and a whole lot of processing power—to achieve.
What is Deep Fusion?
The top image is from the iPhone XS max (no Deep Fusion), while the bottom comes from the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The color is better in the bottom image and there's more pronounced detail, as well. (Stan Horaczek/)
When you have the iPhone’s camera app open, it’s taking photos before you push the shutter. It keeps a rolling buffer of images, and once you press that button or tap the screen, it captures a total of nine photos. Eight of them happened before you pushed the button. Four of the frames are short to make them as sharp as possible by fending off camera shake or motion blur from objects in the photo. The other four from the buffer are standard exposures to capture color and details. The ninth frame is a long exposure to bring in more light and provide a lighter image for the processor to pull from.
Deep Fusion and the Smart HDR technologies work basically the same at this point. From here, however, Deep Fusion takes the sharpest of the four short exposures and basically ditches the rest. It then fuses those four standard exposures with the long exposure to get the color and highlights that belong in the finished photo.
This entire process happens seemingly instantaneously and exists to give the A13 bionic chip all the raw material it needs to smash them into something that looks like real life. That reliance on Apple's latest processor is the reason why only iPhone 11 users get the Deep Fusion mode, at least for now.
Deep Fusion uses its neural engine to analyze the individual pixels in a scene, as well as their relationship to each other in the frame. It can pick and choose where to try and preserve highlights and where to add contrast to make details look more pronounced.
To my eye, the sharpening effect is by far the most noticeable difference between Deep Fusion and the Smart HDR photos. When high-end retouchers work to smooth out skin in a photo, they use a technique called frequency separation, which allows them to separate the fine details and edges of the image from the colors and tones and manipulate them independently. So, if you wanted to take out blemishes or trouble areas in a picture of a face, you could do it without losing the skin’s natural texture or color.
The left image comes from the iPhone XS Max, while the right image is the iPhone 11 Pro Max using Deep Fusion. The sharpening is most evident in my beard hair and in the face lines that indicate seasonal allergies and not nearly enough sleep. (Stan Horaczek/)
Deep Fusion does something similar. It’s pulling the details and sharp edges from one of the short images, while it pulls color and light detail from a mashup of the standard and long exposures. This allows the neural engine to tweak things individually. So, if you take a picture of a person with a beard standing in front of a blue sky, it can pull extra-sharp details and darker sky tones from the short image, and the brightness and color for the face itself from the longer exposures that brighten things up.
What to look for?
You may have heard people online refer to Deep Fusion as “sweater mode.” That nickname stemmed from Apple’s original Deep Fusion sample photos, which depicted people wearing sweaters. Those woolen garments actually make for fairly perfect Deep Fusion demonstrations because they have lots of fine texture and patterns crammed into small spaces. Deep Fusion excels at drawing out those little details
Consider the picture of the underside of a house plant’s leaf earlier in the article. The intricate structures pop much more obviously with the iPhone 11 Pro camera than they do with the iPhone XS Max’s.
In terms of color and contrast, the Deep Fusion images look less flat than the XS Max’s photos. I’ve always found the Apple Smart HDR a little overzealous when it comes to flattening shadows and highlights, so Deep Fusion is an improvement there.
The sharpening performance, however, is curious. It makes total sense for complicated nature scenes. The extra details do nice work in landscapes or other complex scenes. It sometimes looks somewhat oversharpened to my eye, but I also formed my tastes on 35mm film, which is a totally different—and not so crispy-looking—beast.
The top shot (iPhone XS Max without Deep Fusion) has plenty of sharpness and detail, but the bottom image (shot with an iPhone 11 Pro Max with Deep Fusion), cranks it up another notch. (Stan Horaczek/)
One you take a picture of a person, however, Deep Fusion’s effect seems more out of place. Most of the common face filter apps typically apply skin smoothing techniques—sometimes to a hilarious extent, which makes people look like sexy globs of Play-Doh. Deep Fusion goes the other way, however, and actually seems to accentuate texture on faces. Clearly, Apple is taking faces into consideration as part of its AI processing, but any perceived skin imperfections only get a little more imperfect with the added sharpening.
The effect also really emphasizes texture in hair. Sometimes that works to the subject’s advantage, but in my case, for instance, the added emphasis makes my beard look even more like something you’d find on a grizzled old wizard. It’s similarly unflattering to the hair on top of my head in a way that makes me feel just great about posting an up-close selfie in this very public article.
Of course, Apple is using AI to manage most of this process and future software updates could tweak its performance to drastically change the overall look.
Unlike Night Mode, there’s no indicator in the app to show you when you’re using Deep Fusion. It wouldn’t really matter anyway, since it’s the default camera mode in most lighting situations. It doesn’t work with the ultra-wide camera and, when you’re in a scene with too much light, it will kick back over to Smart HDR mode. When light gets dim enough, then Night Mode takes over.
Generally, Deep Fusion is an improvement when it comes to the camera’s overall performance. However, if this is how people are going to be taking pictures going forward, I should probably start moisturizing and conditioning my beard.

Appmon Ep44 Liveblog
On the hunt for Bootmon, the App Drivers manage get stuck saving another holiday: this time, they need to save the local summer festival from being ruined!
they just jump right into searching for Bootmon, huh? it’s not as dramatic of a return as it was previously framed, but the group has finally returned to the Deep Web and Cyber Kowloon!
I neglected to mention this last time because I couldn’t remember if it was a permanent change, but at least for the time being Rei is wearing a new shirt, as opposed to only wearing his black hoodie. this shirt is white. i’m not sure what it symbolizes, though, besides the fact that his quest is now over.
“Ai-san helped me safeguard this room” ok so why isn’t Ai still helping... they had so many chances to make Ai more important to the story but then it just doesn’t happen.
they really just drop the Appmon Kindergarten lore and then don’t elaborate on it! I’m really curious about the implications of it! to the point where I have actually extensively theorized about it! it’s an unintentional habit of mine to speculate on the biology of ‘mons! so, between the fact that Gatchmon basicallys says that Appmon had to be manually raised from apps before a more recent advancement in Appmon-making technology happened and the fact that the kindergarten is full of kids’ toys implies that there used to be at least one baby-grade before Standard-grade, which would bring an Appmon’s life cycle more in-line with the traditional Digimon life cycle. this also implies that a modern Appmon is already “mature” when they’re first made, while the kindergarteners wouldn’t have been & would have had to grow-up in the traditional sense. but how long ago was it that this new advancement in technology was made & started being used? since the kindergarten is now all the way down in Cyber Kowloon, it seems like it must’ve been a while ago... but, nowadays, when a site or program isn’t updated frequently it can get pretty run down pretty quick, so maybe it was more recent than it seems. ...it’s also worth noting that the kindergarten is an obvious call-back to previous Digimon kindergartens, though (like i just said) it seems to be a lot diffeent in function than those kindergartens since it’s not a place of rebirth.
ah, poor Bootmon... Hajime was the only other living thing Bootmon ever knew, and then Hajime made Bootmon go live in solitude with the threat of Leviathan constantly looming over their head. that’s not to say that Hajime was in the wrong for evacuating Bootmon, though — it was the best option, and I doubt he was thinking about whether or not Bootmon would be lonely at the time
for once in his life Watson does not have to suffer for the sake of the plot. also Ai is literally like “yeah Haru and Yujin are doing some important stuff :)” like!!! you could also be doing important stuff if the writers had let you!! argh!!
Damedamon is interesting because it looks like Sakusimon... there was an Appmon 3DS game, wasn’t there? i wonder if Damedamon was the product of a failed Ultimate app fusion in that. (i’m asuming Sakusimon was used in the game, too.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the “ruined” versions of all the Buddy Appmon are hilarious! poor Shutmon’s “ruined” version is just how Offmon acts. also, I like the heavily simplified designs used for them here.
OK this is 2/2 of Musimon’s completely unexplained abilities that I mentioned early on — though, I guess this one is actually Entermon’s ability. why is Entermon immune to being ruined?! is the implication that Entermon is already “ruined” somehow? or if you happen to like the smell of Damedamon’s breath then you’re just immune? or, (and i forgot about this until seeing this again), is the implication that it’s impossible to throw Entermon off-kilter because they’re always so hype? it’s super intriguing! also, we get to see a really long version of Porteé Melos, which is cool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Haru’s talking about protecting that everyday life again... honestly, it’s really sweet. it’s moments like this, where he’s able to take in what the world has to offer and enjoy the company of his friends, where he’s reminded just how precious life is and how much he wants to protect it.
it’s awfully coincidental that when Eri is considering quitting Appliyama that all its events get canceled, but personally I’m glad for it since it means she doesn’t have to fret over quitting & putting her dream on hold
Bootmon was able to just Apprealize out of nowhere...? well, an ability like does seem like it could come with thr ability to turn anything on.
The App Drivers were this close to getting Bootmon, but it just didn’t work out. No problem! Next time, a certain small yellow dinosaur will appear...
