CW: Hyper-femm reader, Mommy kink, Lesbian sex, Choking, ass slapping. Spitting, Squirting, name calling just once though, scissoring, overstimulation, oral reader receiving.
a/n: ALL RACES ARE WELCOME! The picture is just for the shoes. just realized most of my fanfics and wips have have mommy kinks….That says a lot about me. I also have a dina fanfic that’s almost done it’ll probably come out s week after this on so stay tuned.
☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Your friends hated it. They hated the way you always had to sit on her lap when you guys would hang out together. They hate how you two would excuse yourselves to your bedroom and all they could hear was a loud banging against the wall. They wish they would get away from it but they lived with you. They’re just happy Abby doesn’t live there because they’d never get sleep with the way you two are always touching, But they were lucky because abby was on a trip and wasn’t set to get back until a week from today. So it’ll just be you and your friends. Well that’s what they thought anyways.
☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
“Draw 8” your friend casey told you. You guys were all sat around the coffee table seated on the floor playing games and drinking. “NO” you said laughing which caused your friends to laugh with you. “That’s cheating why does uno have a custom card.” You said bouncing up. “I’m gonna go get something to eat shuffle the cards and let’s play stacks” “NOO youre such a baby” Your other friend jess said “Oh well” You said scurrying to the kitchen. “Nobody told casey to cheat that was so unfair” you said as you went on your mission to go get snacks
You were in your own world looking through cabinets to something to eat so much so you didn’t hear your friends talking to someone at the door and on top of that you didn’t hear them ring the bell. “Who’s at the door guys” you said walking to the door seeing your girlfriend come into view before they could even tell you. “ABBY WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?” you said running up and hugging her almost missing how your friends rolled their eyes in disgust almost. “Hi princess, I’ve missed you” She said grabbing under your ass so she can lift you up “You’re not supposed to get back for like 2 more days” You said kissing her cheek “I’m got bored and i missed you so much” “Really?” you giggled as she walked you to your couch to sit down with you on her lap facing her. You almost got lost talking to her before you remembered your friends.
“Oh sorry guys” you said getting off abbys lap much to her dismay but she still kept a hand on your thigh. “Abby how about you play cards with us” you said awkwardly looking between your friends and her. “Please do much better than going in the room” casey said “For real you guys are so loud” jess chimed in which caused abby to blush a little turning away from you guys. “Okay enough let’s just play” you and abby both took your seats around the table just like the other two.
You guys played for around 10 minutes before you realized they were straight up targeting abby. “First me now Abby what the fuck” you said throwing you cards on the table. “What are you talking about now y/n” jess said throwing his cards on the table as well. “You guys just made her draw 15” you huffed getting up “this is why customs cards are BULLSHIT well me and abby are gonna go watch a movie” you said reaching for her hand so she could stand up with you
“NO GOD PLEASE NO” casey screamed dramatically. You just ignored her “casey please stop it nothings gonna happen just a movie okay” you said grabbing abby’s hand and walking towards your room
You lied
“Ahhhh mommy fuckkkk~” you screamed on your knees back arched the side of your face pushed against the pillow so you can breathe while she used your hands for leverage to pound into you hard. “Take it princess f-fuck i know you can” she let go of your hands instead grabbing the fat of your hips pace not faltering “Do you like the way i fuck you? You like how deep mommy’s going or you want more” you couldn’t breathe she WAS fucking so deep aimed straight at your sweet spot and she knew that. You were gushing and creaming all around her and she was so hypnotized by it. She couldn’t stop herself from going faster
Before she could think she was spitting in your asshole she then start rubbing it in with her thumb before pushing it in. “a-abby it hu-” she didn’t let you finish before smacking your ass once, twice and then three each time you squealed louder and louder. She took her thumb out your ass grabbed you by your hair to bring you closer to her then switched from your hair than throat choking you as you bended backwards. “What did you call me” she said in a stern voice “I-i’m-fuck i’m sorry” you whimpered out “Okay so what’s my name” she said not letting her hand loosen on your throat or not stop the assaulting pace she had on your pussy.
“Mommy” “that’s right fuckkk~ look at how much of a good girl you are for me” she said letting you go placing her hands back on your hips. “I want you to cum all over me okay princess” “mhm” you said barely even able to keep yourself up “words baby” Abby said whist pushing herself deeper “Aahh- yes yes okay” abby’s hasn’t fucked you in what feels like forever with each drag of her dick it felt like heaven on earth. It felt like eating your favorite meal for the first time. She fucks you so good and so deep making you cream over and over again like the only think on her mind was making you cum and it was. “Mommy i’m gonna come” you said as steady as possible.
You’re voice was probably the most steady think on you right now. Your brain was just filled with you cumming, your legs and arms were shaking from the stimulation definitely not steady and plus you were sweating all over. But she listened you and heard you. She snakes her hand over to play with your clit to make you cum faster and to make it more powerful. “Fuckkkkk mommy” You moaned coming undone squirting all over her pelvis and lower torso “Shhh it’s okay princess” she said fucking you through it trying to make it last as long as possible. It sounded so disgusting the splashing of your cunt. The sound of your moans and abby’s heavy breathing everything about this moment was so erotic she couldn’t help but to keep this going.
She stepped away from you once she worked you down. She had you flip over so you were on your back and you were looking forward to the Aftercare she always seems to bring but on boy were you wrong. Abby slipped the strap off taking her underwear and shorts off rubbing the slick that accumulated from her fucking you across her throbbing cunt. She then went up to you on the bed slotting your legs in between each others placing her pussy on yours. “FUCK ABBY NO NO IM SENSITIVE PLEASE” “shut up bitch” tears starting brimming in your eyes the pleasure was so painful but you didn’t want it to go away your toes were curling as she rubbed her pussy across yours your slick making it so easy for her or slide across you.
You were cumming quicker than you wanted to but abby wasn’t gonna stop until she came so you tried your best to hold yours in. ”fuck y/n your pussy’s so warm” She moaned. You couldn’t even respond to her you just laid there and took it back arching your arms reaching out for her. You couldn’t stop the screams from comming out you wanted to cum so bad you just need her to say those words and your prayers were answered. “Fuck y/n i’m cumming” she moaned so loud and you quickly followed her. Abby’s body was twitching on top of yours she was shaking from not being able to use your body in forever if felt like it was too much almost. “Fuck princess you’re such a good girl” She said looking down at your trembling figure that was covered in sweat that gave your skin a glow. Your eyes were filled with tears as you looked up at her she wanted so much to give you a break but she couldn’t get enough.
Abby untangled your legs from each other she then placed both your legs on her shoulders. “Mommy i can’t” you said pushing her head away before she could even come into contact with your cunt. You knew deep down you couldn’t take anymore so why were you so achy down there. You wanted her to give it to you over and over and over again probably until you passed out. She licked a long stripe up from your clenching hole to your swollen clit before going in a suckling on it. “f-FUCKK ab-Mommy i’m gonna cum” you felt like a slut but the thoughts didn’t linger too long because you were cumming fast and hard but that’s doesn’t mean abby was gonna stop she wasn’t doing it for you she was just addicted to the way you tasted but she knew she had to stop though. She give you a few more licks and slurps cursing herself for not having the heart to keep going.
“How do you feel princess” she said rubbing your head and laying beside you “Tired” you mumbled “Let’s get you cleaned up then you can go to sleep okay”
“okay mommy”

Duckvember Day 4: Game Duck
NO BETA AGAIN AND I DON’T EVEN DESC SIDE CHARACTERS I’m already behind trying to catch uppp.
Little story about @fluxchix 's character Luke (Duke and her OC Gallery’s kid) and Maestro (my OC kid of Canard and Lucretia. See they ran into each other in Limbo...)
—---------------
Luke ran out of class the second the bell rang. He quickly went outside to the smaller side building stairs. It was usually where his human schoolmates met to chat. He already saw three of them here.
“HEY! We’re still on today for laser tag right? I invited one of my other friends,” The gray duck asked as he gripped the single strap of his book bag that came over his shoulder.
“It's not one of the babies is it?” one of the other kids asked. Luke was the oldest of the duck kids on Earth. The others were all five years and younger, which included his little sister the group had seen a few times.
“No no, it's not any of them. He’s in high school like us. He came here from- out of state over a year ago,” Luke explained vaguely. It was easier than saying he appeared from a supposedly broken dimensional gateway generator that was locked up in a secret headquarters under a hockey rink, “He's super cool! And he’ll be great at this. He’s a perfect shot when we play video games. He’s the one with the top score on the O.K. Corral arcade game at the mall!”
“Oh! He’s M-A-E at that arcade? I see those initials on a lot of high score lists at the mall arcade,” one of the kids chimed in.
“How come we haven’t seen him in class?” another one of Luke’s friend’s questioned.
“Oh- um. He.. goes to another school.. But he'll meet us on the way!” Luke quickly stammered out like he was hiding something, “He’s taking the bus to the laser tag. We’ll meet him there.”
Luke and his school friends got on the next public bus to head to the mall. He tried to keep his mind focused on what they were talking about and pipe in. However, he was nervous and excited about them meeting his fellow duck friend.
The gray duck could feel his cellphone vibrate in his backpack pocket. He quickly pulled out to read the message.
‘I’m here. Where are you at?’
Luke quickly typed back: ‘stay there ill meet you there’
As soon as the bus stopped Luke was the first to hop out. He turned to his friends as they stepped of the bus too, “I’ll be RIGHT back. I gotta go meet my friend. We’ll meet at the laser tag.”
“Uh, why couldn’t he meet us here?” one of the other kids stated.
“Ahhhh, no reason I’ll see you guys in a minute!” was all Luke could reply with. As he ran over to the mall nearby. His schoolmates gave each other a shrug and headed towards the laser tag that was beside the mall.
Maestro was waiting outside of the mall movie theater. When Luke came into Maestro’s view the gray duck was out of breath from running. He took a moment to try to catch his breath. He was still struggling when he started talking to Mae, “Hey there! There has been a change of plans.”
Maestro gave Luke a confused head tilt, not able to understand him, “It’s hard to read your bill when you’re breathing like that.”
“Oh, I said -” Luke then started to sign as he talked, “We’re going to laser tag instead.”
“You said you and your friends were going to a movie,” Maestro spoke and signed at the same time.
“Yeah and so now we are mov-ing over to the laser tag now,” Luke replied, thinking he was clever. Maestro had watched his bill carefully because what the gray duck had started signing wasn’t quite right.
“... That’s awful,” was Maestro’s delayed response to Luke trying to be smooth, “I don’t want to play any shooting games right now.”
“Please! You’re so good at it!” Luke replied while signing, “My friends will think it's cool!”
“Just because I’m good at it doesn’t mean I always like to do it!” Maestro just signed, not talking out loud. Luke gave a squint as he made sure he followed the signing correctly.
“But there are these older teens hang around there that always beat us. You can help us win! PLEASE!” Luke responded. He repeatedly signed ‘please’ after he finished.
“Okay. Fine.” Maestro spoke without signing.
“Great! Awesome! And don’t say you’re home schooled or anything. They’ll think it’s weird,” Luke added while signing out. Maestro ughed at being told that. He didn’t want to start being in a situation where he couldn’t be himself.
Luke turned and ran off to the direction of the laser tag. Maestro sighed and followed after his friend. The gray duck’s schoolmates were waiting outside. As soon as Luke got up to them he introduced his duck friend who was still catching up.
“Hey, everyone, this is Maestro!” Luke gestured to the duck running up to them. He then began signing while talking once Mae was there, “This is Mike, Seth, Austin and Kyle.”
The four human boys all gave Luke a weird look. Luke had been so focused on ‘tricking’ Maestro to do laser tag and avoid the homeschooling thing he had forgotten about his best friend being deaf.
“Oh, uh,” Luke paused as he just stared back at his human friends not knowing what to say.
“You can call me Mae. I’m deaf but I can read lips. It’s fine,” the other duck broke the silence. He held out his hand to shake with any of the boys in greeting. That is what Maestro assumed was best to do. One of the boy’s did shake his hand.
“I’m Seth. That’s awesome your hair is purple. Your parents let you dye it like that?” the kid shaking Mae’s hand asked.
“It’s natural actually,” Maestro laughed. He relaxed a little. No one seemed to care about him being deaf. He welcomed questions about his appearance instead.
“Why are we waiting outside?” Luke piped up to ask since Maestro was taking care of the moment of awkwardness.
“That usually group is here,” Kyle muttered, “Think your friend can help us win against them?”
“Yes! Totally!” Luke confidently replied. Maestro took a deep breath but gave Luke a smile.
“Yes. Totally,” Maestro confirmed. Luke could tell he was uneasy about something but brushed it off to meeting new people.
“Alright, then let's go,” Kyle said before leading them all inside.

ANOTHER INCREDIBLE CHAPTER BUT ARE WE REALLY SURPRISED??
I loved getting to know Edward — I don’t know if we’ll see him again, but he really took me by surprise. How do I have such fondness for a detective we just met? Maybe because he’s just so even keeled compared to KENNETH lmao (the day I call him Brady call the FBI or something cuz it means aliens took over my body)
The suspense just keeps building in such a delicious way! I know every week we get closer to the end but I’m honestly having too much fun living in the now even I can’t wait to go see our darling at the Golden Dish next week 😩✨
(Kenneth the whole chapter)
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Okay, I have paused reading to provide some fresh thoughts…
I don’t have a breakdown for the beginning of this fic, because I was just so caught up in how we’re exploring this new character, Edward Freeman. I think it’s no secret that I am a BIG FAN of exposition, and the opening of this chapter is such a fantastic example of it.
We immediately get a sense of who this man is and where he stands, how he views the world and the people around him. The mention of real-world events will get me every time, and The Crash and its impact has always fascinated me, so seeing how it’s being used here to bolster Edward’s worldview was just SOOOO satisfying.
Also the description of Tommy’s mom?? Watery eyed and shaking? I can see this poor woman so clearly, and I feel for her, even with all the context we have as the reader: that Tommy sucked and our collective Deer Husband killed him (and then we proceeded to fuck said husband as Tommy went cold on the floor). I guess I’m just trying to say that I’m constantly surprised at where we’re finding sympathy for characters as this story progresses, whether it’s toward someone established or brand new.
It’s the marker of a great author who really cares about everyone involved here, and I suppose I need to get real comfortable staying down here on the floor to worship at Hazel’s altar.
Brady’s bright blue eyes only get clearer and darker with every ounce of anger you inspired in him. An angry sea churning up violently behind his mean mug. He was practically sneering at you.
AHHHH THERE YOU ARE, KENNETH
You remembered his hair well from that first meeting in front of the cafe. It clearly had become oily and weighed down from less frequent washing. The skin under his eyes was looking dark and thin. “You look like shit, by the way. Should sleep instead of bothering honest performers.”
AUTUMN!! This is a true “reader insert” moment right here
“Ha, there you are. True colors shining through finally.”
Kenneth you can’t say that, cuz I said it first??
“How was my mom? Not much of a talker.”
HA!!
His head turned with a crawl, weighted down with a steel ball of apprehensive horror, to look at Brady. He was leaning on the table with both elbows, staring at you like you’d busted out his car window and shot his dog.
DAMNNN EDDIE IS SHOOK THE HOUSE DOWN BOOTS
Freeman looked at Brady with dead eyes, the shutdown of his feelings was an automatic attempt by his body to try and keep from grabbing Brady by the shirt in a fit rage, and turned the paper to reveal the name written to Brady.
Am I… Edward Freeman…?
“What crime?”
“The one with the guy and the girl. It’s all in there.”
OHHH KENNETH. THIS IS NOT GOOD 😬
“What does that matter! It’s an illegal hooch den! Naked dancers! Race mixing! She admitted she-,” Brady was pacing a small three foot by three foot square in front of the desk. Freeman had his arms crossed while seated.
KENNETH “CLUTCHING MY PEARLS” BRADY
Freeman sighed, long and heavy. A huff of breath that somehow conveyed his disappointment better than words.
THE WAY I CAN HEAR THIS. Edward is so tired 😩
“I know she’s involved. I know her guy did it. And I know someone’s killing people. Lots of people.” He said it confidently into the corner of the office.
I just… hate how fucking right he is though
“One complaint about you and you’re being chained to a desk. Cut her loose, apologize, and go home. I don’t wanna see you anymore tonight. Your freaky little eyes are getting under my skin.” His captain removed his small rounded glasses and rubbed his hands down his face, exasperated his life had come to telling men to stop doing their jobs.
YOUR FREAKY LITTLE EYES ARE GETTING UNDER MY SKIN — I’M SCREAMING 😂🙈
With a scoff and a shake of your head, you found yourself, “No, but I wish he had. What’s the point of being good if people assume the worst of you anyway?” Reaching out for his hand again, you held his large one in both of your smaller ones, “At least if he’d killed him I’d be sure Tommy’s never coming back to keep his promise.”
GASLIGHT GATEKEEP GIRLBOSS
The paralysis set in as soon as the door was shut. You could hear Alastor’s name echoing around in your head, the sound so sharp it made fresh tears well. Brady had heard it, of course. It was for nothing. You worked so hard, kept his name off of your tongue despite the way it always felt so good there.
UGHHHHH MY HEARTT
Brady wasn’t crazy, he was smart and lucky.
ain’t it the fucking truth 😩
Brady smiled, and for a moment you forgot how scary that should be. “No. You’re a liar and you’re aiding a criminal. But you work in a place I’m not supposed to bother. Luckily for me, Alastor’s work surely isn’t one.” Your eyes rolled. Hearing him say the name was like hearing a dog sing opera. Unsettling and unnatural. Perhaps a little impressive from a distance. Unfortunately you were front row and center.
KENNETH YOUR VITRIOL I SWEAR TO GODDD
Briefly he entertained grabbing you and violently shaking you until you confessed. He managed to find the strength to bury that down, mouth opening instead in preparation for words he didn’t have yet.
I SEE YOUR TRUE COLORS SHINING THROUGHHH🎶
Brady motioned with his thumb down the hall and said, “Your guy isn’t here to pick you up. Funny name by the way. I got a complaint for an Alastor last week. Socked some man for no good reason. Sounds like a violent fella, kinda guy with a temper when someone speaks I’ll of his lady, or fiancé, I’m told…Anyway, dropped the case since the guy wouldn’t give any more information but maybe I should follow up.”
WILLIAM. I knew I needed to remember you for a reason… I was wrong the last time, but I KNEW YOU WERE A SNAKE AND A BITCH
He didn’t move. He couldn’t let you take this moment from him. He’d made a massive victory in this personal war and your nonchalant attitude was making something in the back of his skull itch. Somewhere beneath his bone. A new sensation.
MY LORD THIS MAN IS PISSED 😰
A man unable to control his face was often a man unable to control his hands.
OH MY GOD
“This won’t end like you think it will.” He said it too loudly for how close he was to you, “It never does for the women.” He stopped at the station’s front desk and leaned into the glossy wooden counter, “Oh! I almost forgot! Congrats on the engagement.”
Kenny you can’t be cunt… don’t make me like you because you’re cunt 😩
Like a leak in the hull of your iron-sided ship, it seemed the second Ruth so sweetly dripped that name into Brady’s waiting maw the ocean was spilling in. Every time you heard it fall from another person’s mouth the breach in your metal barriers tore wider. If the Titanic could sink in calm weather what luck did Alastor and you have in the tempest of Brady’s fervor?
Words do not exist to articulate what this whole paragraph means to me… but you know Hazel 🥺♥️
He shook his head and handed you the card, “He said,” a pause as his eyes rolled up to search for the exact words, “to tell the host you’re there for him. Called it the Golden Dish, but the card doesn’t mention anything like that…. Sorry, I didn’t think to ask more questions. Like I said, he seemed out of sorts.”
I NEED TO HUG HIM IMMEDIATELY
What was the Golden Dish? And who was kissing Alastor’s business cards?
AAHHHH!! I THINK I KNOW WHO IT IS 👀✨

MDNI 👮 🚓
Edward Freeman met Kenneth Brady when the younger man was partnered with him. He was bright eyed, and had a sense of justice Freeman appreciated. He was already tired of the rigamarole of police work, so the fresh energy reinvigorated his early days and long nights. It was rather pointless though, police work, given the people in charge weren’t fans of cracking down on the illegal booze business. It was making too much money under the tables and in handshakes.
The nation was still reeling from the crash of the market nearly two years prior. Any way to get ahead, to stay with your chin above the rising waters, well… what harm is there really in feeding your family? The end justifies the means, right? And Brady didn’t seem to disagree too much with that sentiment.
So when the typically stringent, but otherwise soft spoken and relaxed, Brady began to…devolve into someone a little too myopic, Freeman wasn’t quite sure how to handle him. They’d been rather laissez-faire about the morality of things for so long. They tried to keep violence at a minimum so their fellow citizens could enjoy their city. That was the extent of it. But, Brady was becoming obsessed.
It started normally enough. Brady bringing up a missing husband. Later on, a missing bartender. Soon he was snooping on to other’s cases, convinced something was connecting them.
But, given the times and the character of such people, well, Freeman couldn’t quite understand Brady’s fervor. Sure. Some of them probably ended up under backyards and in the water. Hell, quite a few of them he’d have helped do away once he got the real dirt on them. A conspiracy? Or a mass killer? That seemed implausible at best. There was simply no indication of a grande scheme.
Brady kept pushing. Walking the streets at night with ears open and eyes peeled, for any inkling of what was going on.
He just couldn’t accept that sometimes people leave town or jobs. Very few of them were actually reported by loved ones, even the ones that had them.
Then came along the widow Dupre, watery eyed and shaking about her missing adult son. Who, from what they’d uncovered, was a real piece of work.
Freeman let Brady start his investigation, but as it became clear he was adding it to his pile of random disappearances, Freeman had to step away. He could see the obsession ruining his friend.
At a rare dinner with the families, the stress on Brady’s wife’s face was visible for all to see. She cornered Freeman in the kitchen when he went for more coffee, asking if Brady was stepping out on her or if he truly had been working so hard on something big.
He hardly knew what to say. Neither were true. He’d been working late, but on a wild goose chase.
When he dragged a clean cut and confused woman into the station, Freeman knew he’d really lost the fucking plot.
“She’s his accomplice. I know it. Her fella is the man. I’ve got him fingered.” Brady pointed at you through the closed door. You weren’t listening to their voices in the hall, the name still ringing in your head. The name you'd both sacrificed to keep secret.
Alastor.
Freeman hissed, “You can’t arrest people for knowing a guy! A boogie man at that, Kenny. Come on.”
“I have her confession for prostitution. It’s all clean and by the book. And, I have a witness.” Brady tapped Freeman’s arm with the back of his hand and led him down the hall to another room, “He saw her and her guy throw a body in the river.”
Well, shit.
“You found a body? The Dupre son?” Freeman considered what he’d said. The river? Why the river? Bodies didn’t always make it to the sea. It’d be a sloppy misstep for this supposed murderous mastermind.
Brady sighed, his parade a little rained on. “...No, but I have a witness right there. And, I got the name of her fella. I just need to find which station he’s at and I’m off to the races. I bet you my house this guy’s good for it.”
Ah, so. He had next to nothing. Freeman just nodded and took a calming breath. “Alright, are we starting with the woman or this guy?”
“Oh, for sure her.” Bready turned to open the door, but Freeman shot his hand out to stop him.
“And this is the one who gave you the runaround?” Freeman had heard so much about you already, he wanted to prepare himself for whatever tricky shrew was waiting for him. He followed his partner through the door and took you in fully. Your stare was distant and glassy. You’d been crying and you seemed to be shaking slightly from the cold of the room as fall’s night air slipped in through the window.
You could, reasonably, be his daughter. A similar age for sure, similar build, same hair color. Same penchant for the wrong kinda guy, apparently.
He recalled all of the ways Brady had spoken about you. The image in his head was a bird faced woman with sharp eagle eyes and tight lips. Someone decidedly ugly with a permanent scowl and mischief behind quick glances.
And here was a woman, vulnerable and quite nice to look at it. Hair obviously groomed well when not manhandled by cops, and a rather handsome dress which indicated a good personality by the current standards. The shoulders had flat bows that let their ribbons fall onto your bare shoulders. Feminine. Suitable. Not much skin showing. otherwise. A burlesquer seemed to the kind who didn’t wear clothes often, but he supposed everyone has a work uniform after all. Even the nude dancers. Who was he to judge you for your professional clothing requirements? You were here and modest and that’s what mattered.
He took a seat, sliding the folder Brady had set down into the space in front of him. “I hear you’re not too fond of disclosing your personal information.”
It had been several hours since you’d arrived, and now they chose to grace you with their presence? You’d been tossed into a room and left alone for so long, it seemed more like punishment than bureaucracy.
Brady’s bright blue eyes only get clearer and darker with every ounce of anger you inspired in him. An angry sea churning up violently behind his mean mug. He was practically sneering at you.
“Can you blame me? The men in this city are certifiable. Case in point, this hound you call a cop.” You had the forethought to keep your shoulders pulled inward, gesturing with your chin.
“Detective.” Brady corrected.
“Same thing, jackass.” Eyes rolling, you pushed back against the chair causing the front legs to lift for a second. Returning your glare to him, you honed in on the messy details. You remembered his hair well from that first meeting in front of the cafe. It clearly had become oily and weighed down from less frequent washing. The skin under his eyes was looking dark and thin. “You look like shit, by the way. Should sleep instead of bothering honest performers.”
“Ha, there you are. True colors shining through finally.”
“How was my mom? Not much of a talker.”
“Fu-,” Brady flinched forward, chair squeaking against the linoleum floor. It took a tensing of your arms to keep from openly reacting.
“Ya’ll, enough. Now, don’t be too sour with us. We’re just working off your own words,” Freeman opened the folder to find your confession. It had been typed nice and neat and labeled DOE, JANE. He turned it to you briefly, eyebrows hitching as if to ask if you remembered it. You glanced at it long enough to see the conversation and names and nodded. Yes, you’d had that conversation. Brady must have typed it mostly from memory, you thought, or he had some quick shorthand. He brought it back to face him and as his eyes roamed the sheet, his shoulders stiffened. He wasn’t seeing what he was expecting. “Could you-?,” he motioned for Brady to point out the part of your last conversation that constituted a confession. Brady tapped a line of text.
BRADY - Tell me about the dates Tommy arranged. DOE, JANE - Apparently many of the dancers agreed, got a cut. I had no idea about it until he introduced me to a man who was very forward. I insulted him and ran off. Lost Tommy good money, apparently. BRADY - And who was that? DOE, JANE - S something. Mister Stein? I honestly wasn’t listening much after I realized what was happening. BRADY - And then he knocked you around? DOE, JANE - Yeah. Got me good. BRADY - And… the next date. Last time anyone saw Tommy. Tell me about that. DOE, JANE - Tommy said he’d kill me if I didn’t go. So I did. Promised me he’d stay with me for protection. But as soon as he got his money he left.
Freeman’s head lifted slowly from the paper to look at you over the folder, across the table. Your arms were crossed, makeup smeared and running with long dried tears. Your hair mussed. His head turned with a crawl, weighted down with a steel ball of apprehensive horror, to look at Brady. He was leaning on the table with both elbows, staring at you like you’d busted out his car window and shot his dog.
“Can I speak to you for a moment?” He pushed back, resting his hand on Brady’s shoulder and walking out. In the small room that looked into the interrogation room where the male witness fidgeted, he set the folder and your words down.
He motioned for Brady to close the door behind him. As soon as the latch clicked into place, he smacked the table.
“That isn’t a confession! It’s a fucking victim statement, Kenny.” He looked through the one way glass at the man seated, “And he wrote a witness report?” He gestured with his head, the man Brady called Joseph sat quietly waiting for their return. His clothes were pulling at the seams, his fingernails crusted with dirt.
Brady nodded, “Yeah. He came in yesterday and after he told me what he saw he wrote it down there and signed.” He was pointing to a piece of paper he’d left on the same table Kenny was now trying to use for stability. Trying was the keyword. His disbelief was dizzying.
A small laugh, petulant and bordering annoyed, left his lips. He grabbed a pen, wrote something down, and brushed past him. Freeman marched into the witness room, Brady closely following behind.
“Sir, do me a favor and check I’ve spelt your name properly on this paperwork please.” He held it up. The man looked, found where Freeman's finger was pointing, and nodded.
Freeman looked at Brady with dead eyes, the shutdown of his feelings was an automatic attempt by his body to try and keep from grabbing Brady by the shirt in a fit rage, and turned the paper to reveal the name written to Brady.
Josanna. Written neatly in block letters.
Without breaking eye contact with Brady, “And just refresh my memory, sir, what was your statement in regards to again?”
Joseph cleared his throat, “I saw it happen. Down by the river.”
“Saw what happen?”
“The crime.”
“What crime?”
“The one with the guy and the girl. It’s all in there.”
Freeman shoved the written statement into Brady’s chest, “You have half a second to get to the captain’s office before I do.”
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
“That man can’t even read his own name let alone write. From what I can tell he’s a random homeless you plied with confiscated booze. What is going on with you?” The gray haired man bellowed from his chair, hands resting on a large pot belly.
“What does that matter! It’s an illegal hooch den! Naked dancers! Race mixing! She admitted she-,” Brady was pacing a small three foot by three foot square in front of the desk. Freeman had his arms crossed while seated.
“A victim told you she was assaulted. And I-,” the captain leaned back in his chair, “You know exactly how we feel about the wet spots in this city. The, uh, race thing is another issue but— Kenny, you’re one more rogue act from losing your beat. Do you not get that?”
“Rogue? I’m doing legitimate police work. I’m investigating crime! What the fuck is happening here?!” He stopped pacing long enough wave an apology to his boss for the language.
Freeman sighed, long and heavy. A huff of breath that somehow conveyed his disappointment better than words.
“I decide what constitutes police work and this is not that.” His boss shook his chair side to side, thinking about how to get Brady in line. “It comes straight from the commissioner and the mayor above him. We aren’t to hound the bars under our purview.”
‘I’m not!” He started up pacing again, hands up and open in genuine confused frustration.
“You’re harassing their dancers! Stalking around their establishments at night freaking people out!” He laughed in disbelief, “Her manager is outside now. Had to shut down for the night because of your little show.”
Brady put his hands on his hips and faced away from the captain. His face enough alone to have him dismissed.
“I know she’s involved. I know her guy did it. And I know someone’s killing people. Lots of people.” He said it confidently into the corner of the office.
“Kenny. Enough.” Freeman shook his head and stood to leave.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
While you were here anyway, and Brady shooed off Joseph, Freeman decided to speak with you again. He offered you a nod and took Brady’s seat.
It was hard to be friendly, you found. Every minute or so you had to sniffle, nose running long after the tears dried up. Your eyelashes stuck together when you blinked.
“I’m afraid I didn’t get your name, sir.” You sniffled again, hands warming your arms.
Freeman leaned over and offered you his hand, “Detective Eddie Freeman.” You shook it, keeping your hand rather limp to give the appearance of weakness.
“I just-,” he laughed as he set his hand on the table, clicking his ring twice out of habit, “I gotta ask. Did your fella kill Tommy? Are you in some kinda trouble?”
Your mother always taught you to make yourself small. Remind the people you needed to believe you that you were not a threat. Play the part they always pigeon holed you into. It was easier than fighting the assumptions. There was power in deception.
“Your pal is really ruining my life. Even more than Tommy.” You squeezed, 30% strength.
When you looked up at him, he could only find you to be the image of pitiful girl, “Let me check some things and I’ll have Kenny sending you on your way, miss-?”
“Doe.”
“Right.” His ring rapped against the bright wooden door frame, two times, and your brief time knowing Freeman ended.
The paralysis set in as soon as the door was shut. You could hear Alastor’s name echoing around in your head, the sound so sharp it made fresh tears well. Brady had heard it, of course. It was for nothing. You worked so hard, kept his name off of your tongue despite the way it always felt so good there.
Conjured images of Alastor barging into the police station haunted you. What would he say in anger? Brady wasn’t crazy, he was smart and lucky. Nothing could be worse. Alastor could say anything while mad, and Brady could make conclusions he had no business jumping to.
And then he was there in the room with you, and you had to return to the moment and try to calibrate yourself. Who were you now? He already knew you weren’t the damsel in distress, he knew you weren’t weak and frail. Right?
Maybe you’d just be yourself, like you’d let slipped earlier. Your mouth opened and his hand flew up, “Don’t. Shut it.”
“Excu-”
“I’ve been told to apologize and send you home.”
“Oh? And are you?”
Time with you felt so rare, he wanted to keep you a little longer but couldn’t think of what to say or do. Briefly he entertained grabbing you and violently shaking you until you confessed. He managed to find the strength to bury that down, mouth opening instead in preparation for words he didn’t have yet.
“Can I go home now?” Rubbing your arms to make it clear how uncomfortable you were, you cut him off like he had you. Not that he had anything to say.
“Are you so sure I have one, a guy that is?” You simply couldn’t admit Alastor was yours. Never. Not for Brady. “No one’s coming for me. No one’s punched anyone for me either. Though, I’m flattered you think I’m worth the charge. Am I free to leave?” The little tug of your lips into a halfhearted grin warmed you. It was thrilling, lying to his face when you both knew the truth.
He didn’t move. He couldn’t let you take this moment from him. He’d made a massive victory in this personal war and your nonchalant attitude was making something in the back of his skull itch. Somewhere beneath his bone. A new sensation.
A brief and violent flash of knocking the smirk off your tear stained face startled him. You noticed him swallow hard, expression shifting from amused to bewildered. From the outside, all you could read was a frightened widening of his eyes.
“Brady…? If you’re waiting for some man to collect me, I’ll be here all night.” Your voice was softer now, while you couldn’t uncover what was happening in his head, you could tell he was in some kind of turmoil.
A man unable to control his face was often a man unable to control his hands.
His legs lifted his body up and dragged him over to the door. He opened it, slowly, before leaning against the wall beside it to ensure you passed him in close quarters. He knew he couldn’t keep you there forever.
Maybe this Alastor was a real rough fellow. So cruel he wouldn’t even care if his dame was in a bind. The kind of man to abandon his closest allies when cornered. Maybe he really wasn’t coming for you. Which was fine, he told himself. He’d be seeing him soon.
Following you out, he took the walk as an opportunity to warn you again.
“This won’t end like you think it will.” He said it too loudly for how close he was to you, “It never does for the women.” He stopped at the station’s front desk and leaned into the glossy wooden counter, “Oh! I almost forgot! Congrats on the engagement.”
Turning to say a harsh good night, you caught yourself and turned back, exiting through the station doors without another word to him. No need for polite pleasantries anymore. The game was well and truly over for you.
“Oh thank god,” Johnny was sitting on the steps of the station and jumped to his feet when you came out, a sight you weren’t expecting. You stopped, confused. He smiled seeing your brows knit and eyes wander past him in search of someone else, “I was going to bail you out but they said there wasn’t any need. Alastor is waiting for you.”
“Oh…,” you tried to hide the dejection. He sent Johnny? That was smart, but, why did it sting?
Perhaps it was his six sisters, or maybe he was genuinely a good man, but Johnny’s heart ached at the pitiful tone. He leapt up two steps, “He wanted to come! But I told him it was a bad idea. Tempers and all that. Don’t need any more issues for you tonight. Though admittedly he didn’t seem mad, necessarily.”
A slow nod. Johnny told Alastor what to do? Your eyes looked to the left, that was an odd mental image.
“Thanks, Johnny. I need to return to the theater first.” Your hand reached out for his arm and gave it a squeeze, “I appreciate you.”
“Dont mention it. And your bag is with Alastor.” He let his hand come to yours, “He’s kind of a mess, that one.”
You tensed, accidentally pinching his arm in a flit of panic before drawing it back, “Did he drive home like that?”
You looked down to inspect it, nervous at the sudden introduction of a paper trail. Nodding, you finally took it with both hands. The face was rather plain: an address in the corner with just the number and street, and an interlocked G and D in the center. Turning it over, you found a pink lipstick kiss stained haphazardly across the back and a small squiggle. Your thumb ran over the clipped right bottom corner.
What was the Golden Dish? And who was kissing Alastor’s business cards?

OKAY, i wanna write a real whole thing with a story though. but this is something quick i came up with omg. i saw the ask and my love for chris AND andy was just reignited. (it’s annie btw 😂)
his hand stilled on the doorknob. knowing he should be down at least seven steps by now, he lingers outside her door.
her moans pick up a little again, faint but loud enough he can hear the way the inflections lift at the end of each pleasurable sound.
the fabric of his trousers grew tight, as he began to bulge against the material. the feeling of guilt and disgust flooded his brain, but was just as quick to leave as the arousal made a bigger wave.
‘oh fuck, please-‘ her voice whispered out, desperate and whiny. god, he wanted her to beg for him so bad. so bad, his mind pictured him kneeling above her; her body spread across the comforter. her hands would be tied to each bedpost, her cunt throbbing and needy; his name tumbling repeatedly from those lips.
subconsciously his hand had left the doorknob, unzipping his trousers and stuffing inside to grip at his cock. he hissed ever so silently as he felt the pulsation of his own heartbeat, wrist tugging rapidly at himself. the gap in the door was just big enough that he could peek through and see her resume her actions.
he could hear that the porn video had been turned down now, but could still see the guy with his hand around the models throat; pounding into her senselessly and whispering what he could only imagine was filth into her ears.
he’d give anything to lean down against her lobes, biting gently and through gritted teeth grunt how warm and tight she was for him; eyes rolling into the back of his head as he squeezed his cock the way he knew she would.
just as he grew close to the ascension of his orgasm, seven words escaped her mouth that quickened the peaks arrival.
“i’m gonna cum just for you daddy.’
he watched as her back arched, her hips jumped and her fingers rubbed vigorously at the sensitive crest he so desperately wanted to bury his face into; his fingers squeezing the head of his cock with the same rhythms he pictured her cunt spasming at.
as he emptied himself across the inside of his briefs, he squeezed his eyes shut tight, bottom lip taut under his teeth. his other hand braces himself on the wall, head dropping from the view to focus on the feelings.
“fucking take it all, oh my god.” he muttered, hips bucking into his fist a little as he jolted, prolonging his orgasm as long as he could.
‘andy?’ a voice spoke from behind the door, as he looked up and met her eyes through the nook.
I’m sweatinggggg 👀 the tension ahhhh!!! And him taking a moment to clear his throat and figure out what he’s gonna say before saying “yeah?” cause this is an awkward situation the fact that you caught him watching and he caught you masturbating and watching porn but at the same time he’s hoping somewhere in all this you want him just as bad cause god is he ready to fuck you like you want and neeeed

𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫
pairing: leo valdez x child of iris!reader
requested?: yes!
translation: full of color
warnings: uhh, mentions of mental health and ?? maybe some typos lmao
category: headcanons, fluff, best friends to lovers
pre-relationship
though, leo saw you around camp often, you caught interest in him before he caught interest in you
i mean, he literally couldn't miss you because your outfits were always bright, whether it was a combination of colors or monochromatic
you and your siblings actually look like a rainbow threw up on you guys, and it's honestly iconic
no one at camp can not notice the children of iris, especially when they're in a herd
one day, you were sitting alone at a picnic table near the lake, and you found yourself drawing him in your sketchbook
you sketched a portrait of him while he spoke to piper at a table nearby
you've always found the floppy curls and how his brightest smiles always look a little manic to be adorable
when you sketched his portrait in your notebook, you didn’t intend for him ever to see it
until a couple of weeks later in the arts and crafts center, leo passed by and caught sight of a new project you were working on
he stopped in his tracks to compliment your drawing
since you were nowhere near done with it, you couldn’t admire the piece as much as he was
but his enthusiasm was so endearing
he politely asked if he could see more, and you didn’t hesitate to slide over your sketchbook
he noticed a lot of your drawings were scenery and people at camp; especially your siblings
he stumbled across a detailed sketch of a woman and her child sitting in a bus
“wow… who’s this?”
“oh, I don’t know. It was just a little girl I saw on the train with her mother.”
“so you just drew her?”
you never realized how weird your habit of drawing random people was until he had asked
you giggled nervously, quick to explain yourself, “I tend to draw people or things that I find beautiful. I wanted to capture how calm and happy she was with her child ‘cause at the time, I was stressed and angry. Watching and drawing her made me calm.”
leo nodded, a faint smile on his lips before looking back down at the drawing. “that’s really cool,” he complimented, and you shifted in your seat, suddenly shy.
And then it hit you
you were so willing to show leo all your works that you had completely forgotten that his portrait was in that book
your pulse thumped loud in your ears, mind racing to figure out a way to take away your sketchbook before he could see it
you ended up spending so long thinking of what to do that he arrived on the page in no time
right before he could see the drawing in its entirety, you slammed the book closed and snatched it
leo’s startled expression turned into a mischievous smirk
“was that me?”
you froze in your place; a squeaky sound escaped your throat in your embarrassment
leo’s brown eyes sparkled as he leaned into you, your gaze fixed on his, “y/n, you think I’m beautiful?”
AHHHH!
^^ that was you in your head btw
leo laughed, amused at your attempt to deny it
“then why did you snatch it away?” he raises an eyebrow before reaching over quickly to grab the sketchbook back
you didn't pull it out of his reach fast enough, leo getting a grip on one side
the two of you pull it back and forth, leo laughing at you as you continued to deny what he saw
though you were incredibly embarrassed, you couldn't contain the laughter bubbling in your chest
gods, of course, this would happen to me, you thought
he got it out of your grip, and you sighed in defeat, watching him flip to the page of him and piper
he was quiet, studying the picture for a second before giving you that playful smirk
“you think I’m beautiful?” he asked again
you playfully rolled your eyes, “it was more piper than you.”
your tone was sarcastic, only fueling leo’s banter with you
“oh really?” he chuckled to himself, “but i’m the only one colored in.”
you were silent at his observation before scoffing, “whatever.”
leo only laughed as you take the book away from him
“don’t you have somewhere to be, fire boy?” you asked and nudged his shoulder
the glint in your eyes made him smile, and he shrugged, “i guess i do. i'll see you around."
you nodded, too shy to do anything else, and he walked off
after that, leo took it upon himself to talk to you every day
leo teased you about the drawing all the time, and he found the way you would play along to be funny
before you both fell in love, you were close friends
you had such an optimistic point of view about life, and it was pretty contagious
somehow when leo was in the dumps about something, you always knew what to say
you were just so easy to talk to, and because of this, your friendship just grew naturally
your first kiss was towards the end of summer
leo invited you to hang out with him in bunker nine at, specifically, 6 pm
you teasingly asked if it was a date, and you remember the way he tensed up a bit
with a mumble, he asked, "what if it is?"
from the tone in his voice, you knew he wasn’t joking
in fact, his tone was hesitant, a part of him was expecting you to reject him
then the heavy pit in his stomach turned light when you smiled and said, "then I'm down."
the grin leo gave you made your heart flutter like crazy
your first date consisted of eating snacks and watching a movie on one of those portable DVD players
You picked up on the tension between you and him, and noticed the opportunities for a kiss kept passing
it was until Leo walked you to your cabin that night did you have a moment of boldness and asked, "so are you going to kiss me or?"
leo's eyes widen in surprise before his face broke out in the familiar smirk he gives when he flirts with you
you rolled your eyes playfully and grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him into you
your first kiss was sweet and soft; a little awkward
his hands hovered over your sides for a second, not sure what to do with them until he decided to rest them on your waist
it was the perfect way to mark the beginning of your relationship
relationship
since you guys are both broke teenagers, you got creative with date nights
you came up with the idea of paint splattering with him
you guys got canvases, covered the walls and floors with plastic to make sure you didn't dirty them
then you filled water balloons with paint and just threw them
despite you guys singing and dancing around in the midst of it, the canvases came out so good
and to commemorate the beginning of your relationship, you hung them up side by side in bunker nine, and when you guys get a place together, you hang them up in the hallway of your apartment
leo is a huge gift giver; as i’ve said before in my “how he shows he loves you” headcanons
he’s made you a lot of things; canvases, jewelry, little trinkets with scrap metal
one of your favorite gifts from him is a suncatcher with rainbow quartz
you fell in love with it and when you move in together, you make sure to hang it up in the kitchen with the bunch of other suncatchers that he’s made you
i love the idea that you would attempt to bring more color in his wardrobe
a lot of his clothes are muted in color; you don’t mind it but you were interested to see what he’d look like in a colorful outfit like yours
To say the least, he was not that enthusiastic and maybe, you shouldn’t have put him in a monochromatic orange outfit but… you still thought he looked cute
leo thought he looked like a traffic cone though so it didn’t stick
it’s okay because you like him the way he is anyways
another thing is that you guys are super supportive of each other and leo loves just how you manage to lift his mood
once leo was having a bad mental health week
you guys were sitting under a tree, looking out at the water
his head laid on your shoulder and small sniffles came from the other
it hurt to see him like this and you wished you could do more to make him feel better
then you had the greatest idea to make a rainbow for him
so you did
leo was so stunned when he saw the rainbow form over the lake
he looked at you surprised and when you admitted to making the rainbow for him, the emotion on his face was indescribable
and then you laughed and held him when he started crying because he said it was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for him
another time, you insisted that meditation would be good for him
he literally sat down for like 3 minutes with his eyes closed before he was itching to get up and do something
even when he was sitting down, he was still bouncing his legs and fidgeting
so that fell through too but you still helped him in other ways and he’s so grateful for your optimism and bubbly personality
leo always says that you bring color to everything; literally and figuratively
one of the things you bring color to is his life
and he’s constantly reminding you of this; that his world just feels brighter now that you’re around
and it’s literal too
since you painted the walls of bunker nine a bright orange
he asked you why orange, and you told him because orange encourages productivity, creativity, and most importantly, optimism
it may have also reminded you of the orange outfit you put him into
anyways, you told him that it hurt you to see him get down in the dumps, and you insisted there was no way he could be sad in a bright orange room
needless to say, you were kinda right

Deep Six- Teen Titans x Aquagirl!Reader
Request: May I request an insert in the episode Deep Six where the titans meet Aqualad?
Masterlist
Summary: Robin makes you accompany this guy name Aqualad and Beast Boy. Will you be able to handle them or will their bickering tear you apart. Also you're a katara kinnie (i know ATLA didn't exist then but still) This episode is Season 1 Episode 8!
Pairings: Platonic!Aqualad x reader, Robin x reader if you squint
Word Count: 4314
A/N: this time i decided not to split up the episode and post it as one! I made them meet for the first time here, so the Aqua kids don't bond much yet, but if you want to see more, feel free to request! (click here for guidelines) Also yes I also ended this one with "anyone up for pizza" thats all i know how to do to end a fan ficbskghs
“Ahhhh, don’t you just love the ocean?” you admired the shallow sea, the blue water flowing by you. The others prepared for launch, reading off the status of the T-Sub.
“Main power online.”
“Oxygen tanks at maximum”
“Defensive system active”
Beast boy hums confidently. “And your new secret weapon is ready to rock.”
Cyborg rolls his eyes through the headset. “Only time you qualify as a secret weapon is after eating a tofu bean burrito.” You stifled a giggle as Beast Boy yells in protest.
“Uh, 'scuse me, bud. Can you breathe underwater? Uh-uh. Can you be any fish in the sea?”
You shrugged your shoulders and smirked. “Cyborg can’t but I can. And I can breathe underwater without being a fish so I guess I’m just as much of a secret weapon as you, BB.”
You found out that you could breathe underwater a few days after you and the others formed the Teen Titans. You were surfing for the first time since that day when you fell off your board. You had accidentally inhaled underwater, and to your relief, you found that you were able to breathe in the ocean water with no problem. You offered to swim outside the sub on your own, but the team didn’t want you to get hurt, so you were stuck in the small confines of your own pod of the T-sub.
Robin ignores you three’s bickering. “We have to find out what this Trident guy is planning,” he says. “If it takes forty barrels of toxic waste, I doubt it's environmentally friendly.”
The engines warm up, the vessel humming to life. “Titan Launch!” Robin exclaims and the T-sub shoots through a tunnel and into the Jump CIty Bay. You watch in awe at the ocean life around you. Now that you had a connection to the ocean, your perspective on ocean life had changed. You clutch your seashell necklace as you continue to take in the view of the ocean, ignoring Beast Boy showing off his teeth and Cyborg turning off his mic as a result. Robin’s voice snaps you back into reality.
“Sonar contact. Beast Boy! Aquagirl! Ready to go?”
You gave a quick smile. “On it.” You unbuckle your harness and the dome unlatched, allowing you to swim out. Beast Boy gave a mischievous smirk.
“Dude, I was born ready. Try not to be jealous.” He aimed the second comment at Raven, who looked at him indifferently. Beast Boy quickly swam out of his pod and transformed into a whale.
“He just put on three hundred thousand pounds. I am so jealous.” she notes sarcastically.
You and Beast Boy made silent eye contact before swimming towards the cargo ship, examining its destroyed remains. He turns into a shark to keep investigating, and you follow his lead. You couldn’t help but feel that you were being watched, as you swam around the ship. Suddenly, out of the corner of your eye, you see a green figure; not a bright green like Beast Boy’s but a sicker, murkier green. You point at the green man as he swam away, and you and Beast Boy immediately bolt after it, the T-sub following behind.
Your black scuba shoes propelled you forward, and you aimed blasts of water towards the figure, but it kept dodging your shots. The monster, whom you now assumed was Trident, fired his weapon at you and Beast Boy, and when you dodged, it hit the T-sub. You forced yourself to continue to chase after Trident, hoping that the vessel was also capable of dodging his shots.
You and Beast Boy were nearing close to catching Trident when a voice rang in your head. It wasn’t yours, nor Beast Boy’s; it was clear, belonging to someone no older than you were.
“Your friends are in danger.” you heard. You and Beast Boy both stopped in your tracks, looking at each other in shock. You realized that the T-sub was no longer following you.
“Our friends are in what? Whoa! How did you say that? Dude! How did I say that? Hey!” Beast Boy also says in your mind. You turn to see the T-sub being attacked, and shot off without waiting for Beast Boy.
“Dude, questions are for later! Let’s go!” You order, not even entirely sure how you were able to talk either. You approach the vessel, which was being destroyed by Trident, who you swore you were just chasing.
Suddenly, a figure knocked Trident down. Trident and the mystery person fought each other, moving so quickly that all you could see of the person was a blur of black and blue
You turn your attention to the T-sub, which was slowly sinking into a fissure on the seafloor. Water was filling up fast and a look of panic settled on your teammates faces (except Raven, who seemed to have accepted death). Your eyes glowed blue as you outstretched your arms towards the damaged vessel. Focusing on the water around the titans, you forced the leaks to cease and the descent into the fissure to stop. Your muscles burned as you kept your stance; holding the vessel in place underwater was similar to holding it up on your arms above ground. Beast Boy raced to help as you struggled to keep grip when suddenly, two whales came and carried the sub on their backs.
You let go of the ship and breathe a sigh of relief. Beast Boy sees you almost passing out and comes to your side, now in the form of a squid. Instead of comforting you, he complains about the whales' help.
"They got it? How come they got it?"
A familiar voice rang in your head again. "Because I asked for their help." The voice belonged to the guy who was fighting Trident before. He comes to your other side and supports your other arm, putting it around his neck.
"You talk to fish? Yeah right. And let go of her!"
"You guys need help, and I'm talking to you right?" He glared at Beast Boy, keeping his grip on you.
Beast Boy was about to reply when you held your hand up in front of his squid face. "Beast Boy, I'm a solid five seconds from collapsing. I'm fine with the help."
The guy in blue gave a small smile. "And it's called telepathy. Let's go."
The three of you swam into a cavern. As you entered, the T-sub was floating on the water's surface and although it was extremely damaged, it managed to keep your teammates safe. You nodded to Beast Boy and the other teen and they let you go as you approach the other titans.
Raven asked, "where are we?"
"My place," the mysterious teen answered. "I told the whales to bring you here."
Raven and Starfire both blushed and gave bashful thank yous. You stared at them. Are they… in love with the new guy???, you thought, confused.
Beats Boy seemed angrier than ever. "He saved you?" He yelled, turning back into his human form. "Hel-lo? I was there too, you know."
Cyborg raised an eyebrow. "Were you? Because if anything I remember Aquagirl keeping us from drowning. What, you stopped Trident from kebabbing us with that souped up shrimp fork?"
"Way to go!" Robin said sarcastically. Beast Boy stuttered a response, but the blue teen interrupted.
"Aquagirl, huh? Well, I'm Aqualad. Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, we Atlanteans like to keep a low profile."
You shake his hand, now taking in what Aqualad looked like. He was half a foot taller than you, with slicked back hair and black pupils. He wore a bodysuit with blue scales and black accents. He had nice features, but you couldn't figure out why the other girls were drooling over him, so you kept that thought to yourself.
"You're from Atlantis? That's so cool!" You say.
He nodded. "So is Trident." He opens up a hologram from a table in the cavern. "He's the worst criminal in Atlantis, with an ego to match."
He continues a sideshow filled with pictures of the sickly green monster. "Trident claims he's perfect in every way so he thinks he can do whatever he wants."
"Any ideas what he wants to do with all that toxic waste?" Robin asked.
"Whatever it is, it'll be bad for both our worlds. He's already gained some kind of new power. It's like he can be everywhere at once." Aqualad says.
"Noticed that," Raven says sarcastically.
"As long as we're after the same guy, maybe we can help each other." He looks at the six of you.
Your eyes sparkle. "Of co-" you begin, but Beast Boy pushed you out of the way.
"Whoa, hey, no, we're good. Got the whole Trident thing under control. 'Sides, I'm sure there's a school of minnows somewhere that need your--" He rejects Aqualad's offer, much to you and the other's dismay. Robin pulls him back, and the six of you group huddled.
"We're at the bottom of the ocean," Raven notes.
"Our sub is Swiss cheese." Cyborg adds.
"I almost died back there," You say.
"And we cannot breathe water," Starfire mentions.
Robin is the first to break away from the huddle. "We'll take any help you can give us." He says to Aqualad.
Aqualad nods and has some amphibian guy named Tramm fix the T-sub. He turns back to us. "While he's helping you, I'll track down Trident. " He turns to go into the ocean again, but Beast Boy intersects.
"You mean I'll track down Trident," He says, pushing him a little
Aqualad pushes him back a little harder. "That's ok, I can handle it."
"Thanks, but I think I should do this."
"Seriously, I can take care of it!"
The five of you watched as their quarrel turned into an all out brawl, and suddenly you couldn't take it anymore.
"GUYS," You yell, causing a wall of water to shoot up next to them to grab their attention. They both stared at you wide eyed. "Stop. The. Fighting." You say with a stern expression.
"Why don't you two both go track him down together?" Robin offers, but the two teens cross their arms and scoff.
"I usually work alone." Aqualad says.
"Yeah. Me too."
"You do not! You're part of a team!"
"And you hang out with Tramm the fish boy! What's your point?"
"Hey! Arguing isn't going anywhere. Listen, Aquagirl can go with you. That'll make sure you stay on task." Robin commands, and you perk up at the sound of your name. You quickly pulled him aside.
"What the hell man?? They obviously don't like each other, you should have seen how much they fought on the way here!." You argue, and Robin looks at you through his masked eyes.
"You're the only other person who can survive underwater, they're gonna need you. Besides, you're great at handling conflicts; you'll be fine." He says with a smile. You blush a little at his comment, and sighed.
"Alright Rob, you can count on me” You return to the rest of the group and the three of you jump into the ocean.
As you headed towards the bottom of the ocean, you decided to ask Aqualad a question that's been bothering you.
“Hey Aqualad,” you say telepathically. “Before you said that you were able to communicate with sea animals. How come you’re able to communicate with me?”
“I don’t know actually,” Aqualad admits, still swimming next to you. He points to your necklace. “I’m guessing it's because of your necklace.” He stops to examine it. Beast Boy groans and stops as well. It glowed a little in his hand as he read the ancient text off of it.
“The Shell of Poseidon,” He read out loud. “I recognize this from the library in Atlantis. Only Atlanteans can use its powers, so you must be Atlantean then, right?”
“Woah! I’m not Atlantean, I’ve never even been there,” you sputter, absolutely shocked at what the teen said.
“Well, you must have some blood in you,” he shrugged. “Hey, maybe we’re cousins or something.”
You grin. “Aquacousin? I like the sound of that!”
Beast Boy interrupts your moment. “Ok, haha, family is fun and all, but while you were floating around finding out parts of your identity or whatever, I’ve actually found something on my sonar so, try to keep up.” He swims off, leaving you two to follow him. You expected to see the sea monster, but instead came upon a group of dolphins.
“No offense B.B. but these don't look like Trident to me.” you smirk.
Aqualad swims up to the dolphins, focusing on his telepathy. The dolphins swim up together and Aqualad turns to you and Beast Boy.
“They told me where to find Trident. Try to keep up.” He mocks Beast Boy, then swims with the dolphins. You look at Beast Boy, who seemed pretty grumpy, and turn to follow Aqualad.
You tailed behind as the two boys raced each other, Beast Boy turning into various aquatic creatures to catch up with the equally competitive teen. Then you see it. In front of them, Trident swam into view. You and Aqualad stop on instinct, but Beast Boy keeps going.
"Beast Boy! Stop!" You both yell, as he barrels straight towards Trident.
"What's the matter?" He taunts. "Am I too fast for y-"
You winced as you watched him crash into the sea monster and fall to the floor.
"Heh… how's it going," Beast Boy says telepathy to the monster towering over him. Trident growled.
"Keep your thoughts to yourself, you inferior fool!" He pointed his well, trident at beast boy and fires; Beast Boy barely dodges it.
Aqualad tackles Trident and they fall off an underwater ridge.
"Oh no you! This time he's mine!" Beast Boy yells, following Aqualad to the ridge.
"Beast Boy wai-" you yell, but was cut off by something grazing the side of your head. You turn, and see Trident swing his weapon at you. You dodged his next swing, wondering how he was able to get to you right after being attacked by Aqualad. You send him flying across the ocean with your water powers, when you hear Beast Boy yelling. You turn to see Beast Boy in squid form latched onto Aqualad's face. You could see Trident swim away from the corner of your eye as you swam to pull Beast Boy off of Aqualad. Aqualad glares at Beast Boy, his face peppered with red dots from Beast Boy's accidental attack.
“I said, ‘incoming’” he defends himself. Aqualad ignores him and points to another figure swimming into a grotto.
“He’s getting away!” Aqualad swims away, Beast Boy following.
“Wait-” you say, confused. Didn't you just send Trident flying in the other direction? How did he move so quickly? You reluctantly followed your friends into the cavern. You joined them as they observed the two tunnels that split off into two different directions.
“What are we gonna do now?” you think out loud.
“Maybe the question is where were you guys?” Aqualad snaps, turning to the two of you. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion while Beast Boy swims forward to be face to face with Aqualad.
“Where was I? Fighting Trident by myself!” He jabbed a squid tentacle into Aqualads shoulder.
“You barely laid a tentacle on him! At least I managed to break his weapon!”
“Dude, that's just wrong. I so broke that fork thing!”
“BOYS!” you yell. “I also fought Trident and I sent him in the opposite direction, and now he's here. There's something going on…” The two began to think, but then perked their heads up. They then point at opposite tunnels.
“There he goes!” they yell at the same time. You stare at the two of them in even deeper confusion. Beast boy swims up to you, making eye contact.
“I saw him! He's that way! I'm right, he's wrong! End of story!” He crosses his tentacles. Aqualad pushes Beast Boy aside so that you were now staring at his dark pupils.
"I'm telling you, he's this way!"
"GUYS, we can just split up," You say flatly, pinching the bridge of your nose in frustration. "Aqualad I'm sure you can handle yourself, so I'll go with Beast Boy."
"Aw sweet!- Heyyy…" Beast Boy says to your backhanded comment. Aqualad nods and swims off into the tunnel.
You and Beast Boy were alone in the tunnel when you sighed.
"B.B., why do you keep picking fights with Aqualad?" You asked, still looking ahead. Beast Boy turns to you, acting shocked.
"ME??? It's not my fault Mr. Pretty-Boy-Know-It-All keeps showing off!" He whines.
"Dude, he's just trying to help us. Maybe you should-" you were cut off by a loud booming voice.
"Worthless scum! You cannot beat perfection!" Trident bellowed from behind you. You and Beast Boy turned, already in a fighting position.
"How many of you fork things do you have?" He mumbled as you charged forward.
You dodged his energy bolts, Trident in return dodging your attempts to push him farther back. Beast Boy turns into a turtle, pulling his arms and legs inside. Trident threw his weapon and it bounced off of him, flying into you and sending the two of you hurtling through the water.
"I always win!" You hear him say as you regain your stance. Beast Boy turns into a giant crab, grabbing onto Trident's weapon.
"And I thought Aqualad had a big ego!" He yelled telepathically.
"BEAST BOY GET BACK!" You yell. He swiftly let go, and you shot a jet of water towards Trident, sending him flying into a cavern wall. The cavern shakes, and a mass of boulders come crashing down. All you could see was a crushed trident sticking out from under the rocks. You breathed a sigh of relief until you felt a searing pain in your leg. You look and see a burn mark; Trident probably hit you before you buried him in a pile of rocks. Beast Boy looks at you, a worried expression in his eyes (despite being in the form of an ocean animal).
“I’ll be fine,” you grimace. “Let's find a way out first.” You painstakingly swim until you find a cave similar to Aqualads. You drag yourself towards the land as Beast Boy turns back into his human form. Right after you pull yourself up, you see Aqualad jump out of the water. He sees the two of you, and runs to meet up with you. He and Beast Boy begin to talk at the same time.
“ I just saw Trident!... No, you didn't!... Yes, I did! Cut it out!”
“I don’t care what you say! I fought Trident!” Beast Boy yelled, a vein nearly jumping out of his forehead.
"That's impossible!" Aqualad counters, his fists clenched so tight you thought you saw blood.
They both seemed to be prepared to fight each other. You jumped in between them, holding both their heads back as they flail their arms, trying to get a hit at each other.
"You know," You begin, silencing the two boys. "When Robin asked me to join you guys, I didn't want to. You two are heroes that just met each other and you were already fighting! But he told me that I could handle it and he's right! I can handle the both of you; but it seems to me that you guys can't handle each other. So here's what's gonna happen: I'm gonna heal myself because oh right! I got BURNT and you two are gonna talk it out." You let go of the boys, and they watched as you limped over to the edge of the water, plopped yourself down, and started pulling the ocean water to your leg. You listened in a little as you concentrated the water on your leg. It only took a few seconds to heal your burn, it was only surface level and you had gotten better at using your healing powers. They were still talking as you noticed what was in front of you: hundreds of Trident clones and yellow Trident capsules-eggs attached to the ceiling.
"Uh guys…" you say, rejoining them, but they had seen it too.
"One Trident is bad…" Aqualad says.
"... but this is…" Beast Boy adds.
"... an entire …" You say.
"...ARMY!" One of the tridents finishes your thought.
They all charge, and the three of you brace or impact. You raise your arms and a wave of water takes out a small group of the monster clones. You dodge their attacks, shooting jets of water at their heads. You see Beast Boy get flung into a machine, and an egg hatching sequence begins on the screen. You regroup with the other boys in front of the machine.
"Oops," Beast Boy said sheepishly.
"Great," Aqualad groaned as the clones began to close in.
"We need a plan," You mumble.
A group of the clones began to speak.
"My brilliant plan is already a success"
"If one of me was perfect…"
"Why not make more?"
"You can never have too much of a good thing"
"Once my army conquers Atlantis…"
"I will declare war on the surface world! Everyone on the planet will bow down before me"
"And praise my perfection!"
Aqualad whispers to the both of you as the clones cheer. "Any bright ideas?"
Beast Boy whispered back. "Just one. Try to keep up." He turned to the clones. "So if you're all perfect, which one of you is the best?" He asked.
One of the tridents answered. "I am!... Huh?"
As soon as you understood what Beast Boy was doing, you grinned. Aqualad stepped up.
"Come on. You can't all be the best." He says.
"One of you must be better than the others," You add.
One of the tridents step forward. "I am the original!I am the best!"
"You are not the original"
"I am!" Multiple tridents yell at once.
"Nonsense you inferior fools! I am perfect! I am Trident! "
You watch in amusement as the clones turn on each other and the fight turns into a full on brawl. The fight eventually ends, and all the tridents laid on the ground, defeated. Aqualad turns to Beast Boy.
"Great idea," He says. You noticed that there were no hints of sarcasm in his voice. Whatever they said to each other earlier must have made them work better together, you figured.
"Kinda got it from you," Beast Boy says."Now we just have to stop those from hatching." He points to the yellow pod filled ceiling. Right as he said that, the screen on the machine behind you hit 0 on the timer and the word "begin" flashed on the screen.
"Too late!" The three of you yelled at the same time. New Trident clones were breaking through their membrane "eggs". Beast Boy instinctively turns into a hippopotamus and tramples the crowd, creating a path to the ocean. You and Aqualad sprint behind Beast Boy, dodging the clones' outstretched arms. You all dive into the water, the Tridents close behind.
"We can't let them escape! We need to find some way of sealing the exit!" Aqualad yells telepathically.
"Right now, I'm just worried about getting to the exit." Beast Boy replies. You didn't look back, but you could feel the clones closing in. As you got closer to the exit you saw a familiar looking silhouette.
"The T-sub!" You exclaimed as you swam out of the cave. The clones stop in their tracks in confusion.
"Huh?" You hear one of them say.
You moved out of the way as the sub sent beams towards the entrance of the cave. The Blast caused a pile of rubble to fall, blocking the exit. You smile at your team who's cheering (along with Aqualad’s friend Tramm) inside their pods. The three of you turn bad to observe the T-sub’s work.
“Good thing Trident likes himself so much, 'cause I'm thinking he won't see anybody else for a looong time.” Beast Boy says.
You find yourself on the surface again, on the shore of the Titan’s Tower. Raven and Starfire both continue to look at Aqualad with heart eyes as Robin steps forward.
“Consider yourself an honorary titan” he says with a smile, holding out a familiar black and yellow communicator for him to take. “We couldn't have done it without you. Thanks.”
“Right back at you. It's good to know there's people up here I can trust.” Aqualad looks at you and Beast boy. He says goodbye to Raven and Starfire, who blushingly say it back. He then turns to Beast Boy.
“What can I say, dude? You're the best.” Beast Boy says.
“Nah. You're the best.”
“Yeah, you're right. And if you ever want me to prove it, I'm always up for a race.”
“Just try and keep up.” Aqualad laughs, patting his head. He finally turned to you.
“Aquagirl, it's been really nice to meet you. Next time you’re near Atlantis, give me a call and I’ll show you around. There's so much to show you,” he stretched out his hand for a handshake, but you pulled him in for a hug. He was surprised at your gesture, but soon returned it. Raven and Starfire looked at you with pure envy as you pulled back with a smile.
“I’ll take your word for it, Aquacousin” you say, making a reference to your nickname for him earlier. He laughs, then waves goodbye. The six of you wave back as he swims back into the ocean. Robin gently put his hand on your shoulder.
“You did a great job today Aquagirl. I knew I could count on you.”
“You know you can always count on me, dude.” you say with a smile. “Now I’m kinda hungry. Anyone up for pizza?”

Elena’s Masterlist
“What are you doing?” Yugyeom asked is confusion as he walked into the living room of his home. To say he was surprised to see the girl would be a lie. She had made a habit out of showing up to his house uninvited ever since he had gave her her own key to his home a while back. However, out of all the times she had appeared without notice, he had never once found her struggling over something on his coffee table.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” Elena asked plainly with a tired huff, clearly fed up with the mess in front of her.
This made the boy stop in his tracks to observe her sad efforts. He watched in mild amusement as the tripod she had, very poorly, set up began to tilt to the side.
“Shit.” She muttered under her breath as she immediately grabbed ahold of the camera before it could fall to its impending doom.
“It looks like you’re struggling.” He noted tauntingly as he proceeded to walk around her and straight towards the couch behind her to get a better view of the spectacle.
Elena flipped her head towards him with a sharp glare, her patience low from the absurd amount of time she had wasted on trying to get this set up done, “Then why aren’t you helping me?”
“You never answered my question,” Yugyeom bluntly responded with a charming grin as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, “plus, it’s pretty entertaining.”
“Glad this is entertaining you.” She sighed as she laid the recording equipment down on the table in defeat and began staring down the table for a few seconds before ultimately giving up and making her way next to Yugyeom. “Thanks,” She sighed lightly as she stole his drink from his hand, “I needed this.”
“You know you were doing it wrong.”
“Really?” Elena gasped with a shocked grin, “I never would’ve known! I thought it was the table messing it up.”
“I know,” Yugyeom smiled at her before moving closer to the table to set up the equipment the correct way. “What’s up with the recording equipment anyway?” He asked as he made himself busy, clearly concentrating on arranging the tripod in the correct way.
Oh right, Elena had forgot to tell him why she had shown up to his home. It wasn’t as if she did it on purpose. The thought had crossed her mind earlier, but she had gotten distracted when her youngest member, Jongho, called for her.
Ever since she got word of his knee injury, Elena had become more nurturing to the younger boy than usual. She just wanted to assure that he wouldn’t strain himself any more than he needed too to insure the quickest recovery for him and in the midst of it all, she had simply forgotten to inform her friend of her reasoning for her current visitation.
“Well, I need to shoot a video for our upcoming comeback and I was thinking that you could be in it.” Elena started as she watched the boy give the set up a final once over before pressing record and moving to sit by her.
“You just assumed I would say yes?”
“Well, you love me, right?”
Yugyeom exhaled sharply but the smile on his face was still prominent as he rearranged his cap on his head. “Why don’t we just start and you can explain this as we go.”
Yugyeom: [points to the laptop] …So I get to pick which is your title track?
Elena: Yeah! Well kinda? It’s going to count as a vote for the song to be the title track.
Yugyeom: So I’m not the only one voting?
Elena: No.
Yugyeom: [tilting his head to the side in curiosity] Who all voted already?
Elena: Just me and the guys. We still need more people to vote but you’re one of the first, besides us of course.
Yugyeom: Ahhhh! [leans closer to her and takes back his drink with a smug smile] so I’m special.
Elena: [pats his knee] Yes you are! [reaches over to her laptop] You and three others.
Yugyeom: [freezes in his spot with the drink halfway up to his lips] Wha-
Elena: [leans over to stop the video] What’d you think?
Yugyeom: They’re both really good, but Eternal Sunshine is really refreshing to listen to.
Elena: Is this your way of saying you vote for Eternal Sunshine?
Yugyeom: No. [shakes his head and hands frantically] Deja Vu! That hip move was great. [stands up and tries to replicate the move] Who choreographed the dance?
Elena: I took part in it along with some others, [stands up] but San and I were saying how you should imagine that you’re hands are tied- [puts her hands up]
Yugyeom: [crosses his arms with a mischievous grin] Hands tied, huh?
“I told you not to worry about coming-” Hyunjae spoke as he watched Elena make her way inside of their dressing room. The Boyz were currently at a music station getting ready to perform their latest title track, Thrill Ride, for their promotional period.
Elena had actually told Hyunjae about the video she wished to shoot, unlike her last friend, and Hyunjae had immediately agreed to her request. However he had insisted that he could find the time in his schedule to meet with her and record the video, as a way that she assumed to not bother her.
If Elena didn’t know the way the promotion periods worked, maybe she would have agreed to his way, but she was an idol herself and knew better. She was aware that he could squeeze her into the little bit of free time he managed to find but he would have to sacrifice some well deserved rest time and she couldn’t bring herself to ask him to do that. So that’s how Elena found herself at the current music station, a few treats in her hands as well.
“And I told you it’s fine!” She exclaimed as she made her way towards the couch he was sitting on. “Your schedule is already packed as it is with Thrill Ride promotions going on right now.”
“You’re so stubborn sometimes.” Hyunjae stated as he shook his head at the girl’s persistence, “Do you want to record the video now?” He asked checking the time on his phone to see if there was still time before they had to go on stage and perform. “We have plenty of time before we head out and I’m already done with my hair and makeup.”
“Yeah, let’s shoot the video first and then-”
“Elena!” Someone shouted as they entered the room. Said girl turned around in search of the face of the voice, smiling widely when she found the culprit being sat down at a chair by a staff member.
“Hi Eric!”
“Did you only come to visit Hyunjae hyung?” Eric accused as he crossed his arms and watched her with a faux hurt expression.
“Of course not,” She responded already beginning to make her way over to the younger boy getting his hair done, “but I do need him for a video.”
“Why am I not in the video?” Eric responded looking up at Elena with doe eyes, and man was she a sucker for doe eyes when it came to the younger members. She was ready to let him join the shooting until she glanced towards the hair stylist who seemed to have everything all set up and ready to style his hair.
Realizing that it probably wouldn’t be the wisest choice to steal the younger boy away she shook her head at him, “You’re getting your hair done and I don’t want Sangyeon to come at me for being the reason you aren’t ready.” She explained as she made a point to hand him the bag of treats she had brought with her. “Don’t worry, I’ll be right back and we can film a tik tok challenge together without Hyunjae.”
“Hey!”
Elena: [leans back and stares at him intently] So which are you leaning towards?
Hyunjae: I’m in between both, [rubs his neck] which one did you pick?
Elena: I can’t tell you before you vote! That would be influencing you and Hongjoong made it very clear to not influence anyone before they vote. Do you want me to get in trouble?
Hyunjae: Do you want really want the answer to that?
Elena: I do! [pokes his side] Just a reminder that there is a wrong answer and if you say it I might need to go and have a talk with Sangyeon.
Hyunjae: Sangyeon? Who’s talking about Sangyeon? Weren’t we trying to vote for your title track? [reaches over to the laptop]
Elena: [lets out a small laugh] We were, so which one do you pick?
Hyunjae: I’m going to pick Eternal Sunshine. I think fresh concepts are always fun to perform and the fans love them.
Elena: Ohhh that’s true!
Hyunjae: [looks over at Elena in realization] …You voted Deja Vu, didn’t you?
Elena: [points at herself] I was actually one of the main writers for it, so I have a bit of a bias.
Hyunjae: Wait, really? [Elena nods her head laughing] Can I change my vote?
“Hannah!” Elena shouted making her way inside of the 127 dorms.
“Elena!” Hannah shouted back running out of her room, to greet the taller girl in a hug.
“My ears!” Jaehyun shouted in a poor imitation of the girls’.
“Someone’s jealous.” Hannah sang as she eyed him with a poked out her tongue just to tease him further.
“It’s okay to say you want a hug from us Jae.” Elena joked teasingly with a shining grin on her lips as she let go of the other girl. It hadn’t necessarily been a long time since the two had last seen each other but it was just a routine that the two extroverted girls did whenever they came across the other.
“Who would want a hug from you guys.” Jaehyun asked as he tried to keep a straight face through the sentence but his dimples had other plans, giving him away immediately.
Hannah looked at the boy with a knowing smile painted on her pink lips as she eyed her member in contemplation. “Plenty of people would love hugs from us, you included.”
“Whatever you say.” Jaehyun responded tiredly as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall to observe the girl who had decided to drop by and visit the dorm. “What’s with the shooting equipment?”
“She asked me to take part in voting for their upcoming title track.” Hannah announced proudly to her member.
“Oh?” Jaehyun responded looking at Elena in question, “You did?”
“I did,” Elena nodded, “I was asking some of my closer friends to vote, but you’re welcome to join us if you want considering you are the other half of the visual couple.” She spoke up with a cocky smile as she sat in front of her camera, ready to start recording the voting video.
The boy only shook his head softly at the girl before moving to sit on the other side of the table facing them instead. “No, I’ll listen from over here and give you my unbiased opinion.”
“Unbiased opinion?” Elena asked confused at the particular part of the sentence before something clicked in her mind. “Did Yugyeom tell you…” Receiving a nod of confirmation Elena couldn’t help but let out a loud laugh as her friend beside her stared between the two in utter confusion.
“What would influence your vote?” Hannah asked Jaehyun in confusion as she watched Elena purse her lips before looking at the boy with a raised eyebrow, “Yeah Jaehyun, what would influence your vote?”
“The visuals,” The boy responded as he slowly sunk further into his seat as the tips of his ears began to turn red due to the way both girls were staring at him so intently. “I don’t want to base my choice off of the video.”
Why had he chosen to hang out with these two again? As if he doesn’t get teased enough by Hannah on the daily, but now he has to get teased the two together? He was starting to see why Mark calls the duo a menace to society.
Elena grinned at the boy’s response before elaborating further, “It’s because Yugyeom asked about a dance move that me and San changed so that it would look as if your hands are tied above your head.”
“Hands tied, huh?” Hannah teased looking at the girl with raised eyebrows, her face full of amusement, “Kinky.”
“There’s nothing wrong with a little hand tying.” Elena responded back trying to defend herself as the girl next to her wiggled her eyebrows at her teasingly. “Besides I’m not the only one who thought of that move.”
At the sound of the statement Hannah sat a little straighter in her seat as she raised an eyebrow to her friend, “Don’t try to shift the topic on to someone else.” She spoke already knowing what Elena was trying to do here. The way her eyes sparkled mischievously gave her intentions away faster than her words ever could.
“Me?” Elena asked tilting her head to the side, “Shifting the topic onto someone else? I would never,” She reasoned with a shocked face although her smile was peeking through her facade. “but if you-”
“Don’t we have a video to shoot?”
Elena: [looking at Hannah expectantly] What are we thinking?
Hannah: I love it! It’s so fresh and upbeat!
Elena: So you’re team Eternal Sunshine?
Hannah: No! [leans over to the laptop and replays Deja Vu] I’m still Deja Vu.
Elena: [laughs before looking above the camera] What about you?
Jaehyun: Deja Vu
Hannah: Look at you, making smart decisions. [smiles approvingly in his direction] Oh, speaking of which, who else has voted?
Elena: [lets out a laugh before covering her moth with her hand to stifle it] Hey, he’s made plenty of smart decisions!
Hannah: Questionable.
“You chose Aeri over me as your favorite?” Chan asked astonished as he looked at Elena hugging Aeri on their couch.
“See, whenever you say it like that, it sounds bad, but it’s Aeri and she was being, well, herself!” Elena tried reasoning as she tightened her arms around the younger girl, “How could I not?”
“Fair point.” Chan stated as he walked closer to the pair in wonder. “So are you going to ask me to be in your video or have I been ditched for Aeri on that too?”
“Unnie,” Aeri spoke up with the little breath she had tapping the girls arm, “I can’t breathe.”
At the younger girls words, Elena released her tight grip around the girl with a sheepish smile, “Whoops.” Looking towards the boy a small smile grew on her lips, “Would it really be the worst thing in the world if I did?”
At the sight of the boy getting ready to defend himself Elena shook her hand in the air with an airy laugh at, “You can join, let me just introduce you into the video because we already started recording.”
Elena: So we actually have someone else joining us! [waves him over]
Chan from behind the camera: You’re not going to introduce me?
Elena: I personally don’t think you guys need introductions, but since some people might want them I think it would be best if you introduced yourself.
Chan: [walking into frame to sit beside Aeri] You said you were going to introduce me though?
Elena: I did, I introduced you into the video! Now introduce yourself to the people.
Aeri: I’m going to have to pick Eternal Sunshine
Chan: [looks over at Aeri in disappointment] No, Deja Vu
Aeri: What? [looks at him in disbelief] No!
Chan: What do you mean no?
Aeri: Eternal Sunshine should be the title track
Chan: No, Deja Vu should- you know what? Let’s play rock, paper, scissors and whoever wins gets to vote.
Elena: You both can vo-
Aeri: Fine!
Elena: Well okay [crosses her legs and moves closer to Aeri] if you’re going to bet your vote, let’s make things more interesting and make the winner get three votes [both look at her]
Chan: Can you even do that?
Elena: I don’t see why not… If you don’t play you lose!
Aeri & Chan: Rock, paper, scissors! [Aeri throws out paper and Chan throws out rock]
Chan: No!
Elena: Yes! [looks at the laptop] Wait… rematch?
a/n: HANNAH IS NOT MY OC! She is Nini’s oc! That being said, you guys should check out her work at @neohannah ! Aeri however is my other oc and you guys should check her out too @seventeen-aeri ! Also these are just snippets of what happened in each video (as you can tell bc I left them very open ended) but if you guys want to know what all was said, feel free to let me know (and which one ofc) and I’ll do it! This is very badly proofread but I hope you guys enjoy nonetheless! Feedback is welcome and appreciated! (also sorry for the week long wait😭)💗

Summary:
Your relationship with your boyfriend hasn't been going well lately. His twin, Kim Taehyung, decides to take advantage of this.
“I know this is wrong of me and I know you probably think of me as some kind of crazy bitch who keeps fucking with you, but I’m telling you now. This is what I want.”
and yes you are a crazy one MC, if you’ve been reading this series since day one you’d know our girl here is in a very uncomfortable and unfortunate situation trying to save her long-term relationship with her boyfriend Minho while having the devil incarnate Taehyung around her testing her loyalty and resolve through and through.
[ SPOILERS AHEAD ]
I don’t think I wrote something for chapter two but that part of the story was crucial for you to see the side of Minho, the side that MC failed to see/acknowledge because she was blindly in love with him, as mentioned before he was master manipulator he knows how to play his cards well in order for people around him to bend to his will and give him what he wants and that was proven when MC decided to make things right by talking to him, ask him what’s going on and prove that what Taehyung told her wasn’t true, that he wasn’t cheating on her and I honestly believe he wouldn’t do that, it’s just Tae shamelessly feeding the two poisonous thoughts so they’d end up separating so he could pursue MC because he always knew that they’re the ones meant to be together. she was made for him as he was made for her.
so long story short Minho spilled the truth and told her he knew everything about the abortion and asked her a lot of whys? actually i’d do the same if I was him, even if she’s not ready it’s just right to let your partner know that you’re having a child together, then you make a decision and let them know that this is what you want to do, what you think is best for you, hiding things like this only feed minds with unpleasant thoughts which made it very easy for Taehyung to plant seeds of doubt by telling the kid might not be Minho’s that’s why she didn’t have the heart to tell him of her plans. but surprise surprise if you thought it was such a sweet moment that the lovers reconciled I viewed it as Minho using the opportunity to pin her down and clip her wings, I truly pity her for not having the voice to tell what she truly feels because Minho was comfortable, they’ve been together for so long it only made sense that they marry eventually even if it wasn’t what she wanted, it was so painful to watch her slowly die on the inside, but also frustrating to know that she was also falling for the wrong guy.
she wanted Taehyung probably because he was similar but also different from his twin, he gave her the attention she wanted, he made her feel things she can’t remember getting from her lover, things were wild when they all got together under one roof, everything escalated quickly and the next thing that happened Minho and MC got engaged and it only put more sinister thoughts in Taehyung’s head he didn’t act out immediately but he had plans, MC added fuel to the fire by wanting to know directly from Tae whether he had feelings for her and then everything just went downhill and he was gone the next day (scenario was wild because MC what are you doing honey?? you okay? please stop playing with fire).
if you’ll re-read from the start you’ll know that MC here is equally manipulative in a way because of what she’s done to Taehyung, sigh everyone’s just wicked in a sense so here they are MC and Minho back together and planning their wedding and Taehyung found someone new to plaster his broken heart, poor new girl for being dragged into this mess, Tae exactly knew how to push MC’s buttons, time may seem like it wasn’t on his side but it only proved him that his patience even though it was testing him was what he needed and true enough it brought MC to his studio way too many times and waiting for her to go away made her yearn for him more and then they meet again and here goes our MC falling into another trap by Taehyung, she really needs someone to guide her jghaksjdgdfhgkd I was kinda happy that she’s finally being true to herself and accepting it’s Taehyung she wants and she will get him no matter what even if it means breaking Minho and Yumi’s hearts, but just when you thought everything would go smoothly MC wandered around and saw the photos that proved she’s been stalked and put two and two together that Taehyung’s feeling were true but also creepy and she needed to get away from him before all hell breaks lose, but unfortunately for her she ran out of time and who know what’ll happen next, idk if she’ll be kept hidden somewhere or if Taehyung would go to Minho and ruin MC then they’ll be together idk there are so many possible scenarios in my head rn but all I know is MC is regretting everything at the moment and if she could go back she would probably never ask for Minho’s number when he saved her.
ahhhh MC you poor child, I hope you learned from this experience and if you ever manage to run away and save yourself don’t look back. | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

Hey there y’all, this is my first ever post and it was a request from a friend (idk their tumblr yet, I’ll probably just share it with them on Instagram lmao.) anyways it is a multiple part, Echo x Fem!Reader and you’ve landed on the first part! I will be linking the second part below after I make it. You can message me request too, and I’ll get to them before or after I finish this, I may do some prompt lists 😏 This is post and then Pre-Citadel. Reader has a daughter from a previous relationship and I promise it’ll get more interesting. I’ve never actually wrote and posted a story of any of the clones and I feel like I don’t do Echo any justice, but enough talk here ye be.
(P.S. c/n means child’s name. My friend was very specific with this request)
Part One - Part 2
Echo sat up at the bar. A drink in hand that he was slowly milking. His mind was everywhere but there. He was thinking about the war, sleep, his brothers he’s lost, who he could have and didn’t save. It was all a nightmare and a half. He’d honestly pay for just a simple hug from someone who wasn’t his brothers. Even from Ahsoka. Someone who he knew cared about him, but wasn’t part of him. If that made any sense?
So he stepped away from the bar with a sharp sigh. Patting Fives back. Gloved hand slapping against the others armor. “I’m gunna head for a walk,” “Want me to join ya?” Fives asked in a slur. He was obviously not milking his drinks like Echo was. Causing him to smile with a chuckle, “no, I’ll be fine, you.. Keep an eye on Rex.” He teased and Fives grinned. “You got it, vod.” He spoke and spun in his chair to face the other clones.
The moment Echo stepped out the door he felt a bit better. It wasn’t as stuffy and loud out as it was back in 79’s. Starting his little stroll with a small hum. He wasn’t even sure what he was humming. Just a ramble of tunes he had heard. “Mama, look!” He heard a voice shout. A little one. “C/N! Get back here!”a woman shouted and before Echo could turn around there was someone tapping on the back of his leg. “Mister, are you a clone?” Echo turned, raising an arm and looking down to the child. Brows furrowed, a small smile rising to his face. “Hello to you too, little one, yeah, yeah I am..” he murmured and the little girl squealed. “Mama it is a clone trooper! Are you one of the boys in blue? You have to be! I see you on the holo- Mama!” She rambled, and then shouted when you pulled her from Echo. “I am so so sorry about her.” You spoke. Bags of fruit and other groceries in one hand and stuffed under your arm. Your other hand now holding your daughters hand.
Echo was amazed by how much the kid knew. Smiling softly in amusement. Though he was even more amused when you came into view. You were breath taking, really. Running up behind her and pulling her back from him. Apologizing for the incident. Though he didn’t really mind. “Oh, no need to apologize ma’am, feels nice to be recognized by someone,” he joked, c/n whining a bit. “Mama, he’s part of the five oh first, I know it, I do. I was just asking him questions.” “Well baby, you can’t go running off like that,” “but mama-“ Echo kneeled and caught the girls attention, both of you actually. “You know, good soldiers follow orders, you need to listen to your mama, she just wants you safe,” he spoke. Smiling at the kid and she stared at him in awe. You watching Echo with an intrigued expression. “Yes, mr. clone sir.” She piped and Echo giggled at that. Nudging the girls shoulder. “At ease, solder, I’m an Arc Trooper, not a Captain or Commander, names Echo.” “Echo..” she whispered, “I’m c/n, and this is my mama, and she loves the 501st, and-“ you grew a bit flustered, laughing a bit nervously. “Okay hun, that’s enough. We should probably let him be now.”
Echo stood from where he was crouched, looking you in the face for a moment. “Can I at least help you with your bags,” “y/n,” he smiled as you said your name. “Y/n, it’s the least I could do.” He spoke and you smiled a bit sheepishly. Glancing down to the bags and then back to him. “Sure,” you gave in. You couldn’t say no. His eyes pleaded with you and you lost the battle. Though it wasn’t hard to convince you when help was offered. You handed him some of the bags and he took them. You stuck with less now since he took most of the heavy things. Giving you a look when you went to tell him it was fine. That you could carry them. “Least I can do for a supporter,” he added with a smile that had you smiling black and even blushing a little.
The three of you got to the apartment you lived at. You pulling out your key as your daughter rambled, somethings incoherent. Pushing the door open, your daughter running in, and you following. Turning to motion for echo to follow with a small grin. “C’mon, Arc Trooper,” you added with a grin, snickering slightly as he stumbled a bit through the door.
Echo sat the things down, looking around the house slightly before they landed back onto you. “Would you like to stay for supper?” You asked, putting away some of the groceries. “Nah, I don’t want to intrude.” You smiled, turning as you shut the fridge. “Please? It’s the least I could do, for a helper. Plus you’d make my daughters day, you guys are her hero’s.” You added and he smiled, “Alright, alright, you got me.” He added. Though he was going to say yes even if you would have just said please. He was hungry, and something other than rations sounded like an absolute blessing. Not only that, but he wanted to get to know you more. You intrigued him, you were beautiful and kind. Yet he barely knew you and already wanted to make this a normal thing.
While you fixed up supper Echo ended up wandering off with your daughter. The five year old grabbing his hand and dragging him back into her room to show him her toys. It made you a little nervous, even if he was a clone. You knew he wouldn’t hurt her, but you rarely left anyone alone with her. She was really all you had left. Her father leaving the both of you behind shortly after she was born. So you ventured back while you let some of the meat cook. Seasonings already filling the air and your senses. Peaking into the bedroom to see Echo sitting on the floor with her.. Playing. The sight shocked you more than it did him really. Standing, watching for a moment with a small smile on your face.
Echo was using the toy ship she had, flying it around and imitating noises as your daughter did the same. Brows knitted together just the slightest bit in concentration. “Ahhhh, your ships been hit!” She exclaimed and Echo gasped. “Oh no, Crash landing, or as General Skywalker would say.” “Surprise landing!” The two exclaimed at the same time. Causing the, to break into a fit of giggles. You bringing a hand up to your mouth as you leaned against the door way. Giggling a bit yourself.
Your little laugh made Echos head turn to face the door. “Ma- er- y/n,” “is the food ready mama?” Your daughter interrupted him, and you could swear he was blushing. “It nearly is, go get washed up honey,” you added and your daughter shot up. Tapping Echos shoulder, “C’mon, we have to wash our hands before we eat, Echo.” She stated with a grin and you chuckled as the two passed you to the bathroom. Catching Echos glance and shrug. Which cause you to giggle again. Catching him smile even more before he turned away,
The two came back, your daughter on his shoulders and you were dishing out food for the three of you. “Mama look! I’m big!” She was in a fit of laughter, and he was too. You hadn’t seen her so happy in what felt like forever. “You are, aren’t you?” You cooed a bit and watched as he pulled her off and placed her into a chair. Sitting in his own. “No, mama sits there,” she spoke and you furrowed your brows. “Oh sorry,” “I’m joking,” your daughter blurted with a snicker and you sighed. “She’s full of those.” You rolled your eyes as you sat and Echo seated himself again. Smiling at you as he sat across from you. “Does she get the sense of humor from you?” He asked with a brow raised. You meeting his gaze with a bit of a smirk. “Maybe she does,” causing you both to laugh a bit.
The three of you ate, but it wasn’t without conversation. You had your fair share of questions. Asking about the hand print on his armor. Why he was on Corusant and wandering. Instead of at 79’s like you noticed most other clones were. Which he has an answer for each question. Though he did seem a bit nervous almost. Once finished you instructed your daughter to get ready for bed. Though she was hesitant, she finally did shuffle off to the bathroom to brush her teeth and then her room to get dressed. Leaving you and Echo in the kitchen by yourselves.
You collected all the dishes and placed them in the sink, deciding to do them after he left. “Let me help you,” “You’ve done enough helping today, soldier.” You told him with a grin. “Sit back down, it’s fine.” You added, and he smiled. Doing as told, “yes sir,” he added and you let out a titter. He was so formal and cute.
You sat back down across from him, and he was staring at his hands. “Thank you,” you spoke. He looked up with his brows raised. “For helping, and making my daughters world.” You spoke and he shrugged. “It’s my pleasure, y/n.” You pressed your lips together. Watching him for a moment or two. “I’d love to have you back,” you words shocked him. Watching as your cheeks tinted pink and your eyes darted down to your hands folded on the table. “I mean, if you’re ever on Corusant again, I really enjoyed your company. Don’t find a lot of nice people anymore.” People. The word was vague, meaningless to most, but the fact you didn’t call him a clone made his day. You included him as someone, not what he was. “Plus it’d make c/n’s day.” He smiled and nodded. “I’d love to, I don’t find a lot of people willing to feed, let alone hang out with clones like me.” You scoffed a bit and chuckled. “You’re kidding right?” His smile faded a bit. “No?” “Echo, you’re absolutely wonderful, and I don’t see why People wouldn’t want to hang around you. What? Just because you share the same face with a million other people? That’s ridiculous and people are obviously missing out.”
Your words weren’t much. It wouldn’t mean much to a lot, but to him it was like poetry. Without the rhyming. “Thank you,” he nearly whispered. Staring at you in awe, and you smiled back. Reaching a hand out to place on top of his. It made him jump a bit, causing you to retract your hand. “No no-“ he blurted, clearing his throat. Eyes darting around. “I mean, it’s fine, you’re fine, I just don’t get touched often.” He spoke, voice light and faint. Looking up to you with tinted cheeks. You wanted to pull him over to the couch and just hug on him. He was so sweet, so unloved by those who weren’t his brothers and you could tell. Frowning a bit and you placed your hand back onto him. Watching as his expression changed a bit. Softened even more, if that were even possible. He seemed relaxed. You barely knew him and you wanted him to be as comfortable as possible.
A few moments passed. The two of you sharing glances and unspoken words. Which was soon interrupted by Echos com link. “Echo, we’re heading back, I hope you’re not getting laid right now.” Fives spoke over, drunken giggles following after. Echos tanned face flushed red. Eyes widening and his eyes darting down. “Kriff, I better get going, thank you so much for the food.” He spoke in a near ramble and you couldn’t help but smile. A small giggle following after. “Of course, you should come see me next time you’re in Corusant.” You added, walking him to the door. Both of you smiling like idiots. “Sure thing, how could I not?” He added and you directed your gaze down at the floor. Smiling a bit more. “I’ll be expecting to see you again, then.” And those words were enough to keep Echo fighting hard during the war. The two of you exchanging good byes. Echo making his way back to 79’s. Hoping Fives didn’t just up and leave him.

Happy Birthday, Maskaneko! A Tears in Heaven one-shot.
The beautiful edit in the moodboard was made by the talented, creative birthday girl @mskaneko 💕💕💕
Happy birthday again!!! As I said earlier, I’m so grateful to have you in my life. I hope you’ll spend an amazing day.
I love youuu ❤️❤️❤️ @mskaneko
You said you’d be happy with a peek into Drake and Lexie’s life in Tears in Heaven. So here it is. I hope you’ll enjoy it. 🎉🎉🎉
Warnings: Mention of the death of a child, grief. Language and smut.
It’s been a tough year. Lexie and I have been working hard, and between our demanding jobs and Lennie, we’re exhausted. It’s a miracle we were both able to clear our schedules for a few days to come to Corsica to Max’s and Rashad’s house for a short vacation. We need this much more than we’re able to admit. I miss my time with Lexie. I need more of her. If there is one thing I can admit to myself, it’s that. That there is nothing more fundamental, more important to my happiness, than my wife and my little girl.
A roar of laughter interrupts my thoughts. I look through the window, and I can’t help but smile at the sight down by the shore. Jaiden is chasing Lena to the edge of the ocean, and every time the water splashes up on her little legs, she squeals and runs back, her face animated with some mix of terror and delight.
A throaty laugh harmonizes with my squirt’s high-pitched giggles, and Lexie walks into view. Her dark hair is scooped up into a messy bun, and she’s all long, sun-kissed legs and rounded baby-belly in her orange bikini. It will never get old, how my heart thumps a little harder when I see her. Desperate to get to her. I leave the home office and walk barefoot and bare-chested over to the windows and sliding door. Lexie and I wasted too many years and made too many mistakes before we came together again. We both had a lot of growing up to do, a lot of pain to overcome but seeing her with our little girl and Maxwell’s boy chasing the waves, seeing her pregnant again, this good life was worth all the patience in the world. She is worth the wait. I press my palm to the cool glass and let years of memories wash over me, all the painful years spent apart. Being with my family always provides perspective. I might feel exhausted sometimes, but my heart, my life is whole. The axis of my existence it’s those two people down there playing in the ocean like they don’t have a care in the world. Seeing that lifts my burdens, too. And it reminds me that we can’t let life interfere with our lives as a family. Work can’t take so much room in our lives, is not who we are.
After turning my laptop off, I cross over to the sliding door, slipping out and not bothering with anything other than the blue shorts I’m already wearing. Lexie is laughing as Lena tries to lift Jaiden and they both collapse into the water. I walk toward them, silent until I’m close, and then run past Lexie, playfully slapping her ass. She squeaks, jumping a little, her face lighting up when she sees me.
“Where’d you come from?” She laughs. I back my way into the cool waves and wink at her as an answer before turning to scoop up both Lena and Jai, one under each arm. “Daddy!” my girl screams in her sweet voice. I keep running until the ocean stirs around my waist and dunk them both to the neck, making sure to keep their heads out of the water. Their giggles and squeaks occupy the next five minutes of what suddenly feels like a perfect day.
“Uncle Dake,” Jai says. “Put me up on your shoulders.” Lexie takes Helena so I can lift Jaiden. The heels of his little feet kick against my chest, and he squeezes my neck as we go deeper into the water.
“I can swim, Mom,” Lena says from behind us. “Put me down.”
Lena’s five, and while she still likes me to toss her around, she doesn’t tolerate it from her smaller mother all that much. I’m not crazy about it either, considering Lexie’s six months pregnant.
“It’s deeper than you think, Lennie,” Lexie says. “I don’t think it is a good idea.”
Alexis and I went back to therapy when Helena turned three. Slowly, almost without noticing it, we were turning into overprotective, smothering parents. Lexie refused to go anywhere without her, and she’d have horrible panic attacks when her work forced her to travel. Therapy certainly helped a lot, but as much as I would love to say that it was like turning on a switch, that we don’t suffocate Lena anymore, it would be a lie. We would never be those two carefree parents we were ten years ago. But we’re trying; we both want our kids to have the best possible life.
After begging a little more, Lexie gives in, and sure enough, in seconds, Lennie is swimming past me, her skinny arms and legs slicing through the waves, her hair in two small braids.
“Baby, that’s fair enough,” I call out. The ocean isn’t turbulent today, but I don’t want to take any chances. It can change fast. Calm one second and treacherous the next. Lena turns, doggy paddling to stay afloat, her cute face wet and frowning.
“But, Daddy—”
“Do I repeat myself, Lena?” She frowns the brown eyes so like Lexie’s widening. She shakes her head.
“No, sir.”
“Then that’s far enough.” I gentle my words with a smile, take the few steps separating us and tap her head with Jaiden’s foot. She giggles and swims a circle around me, disappearing for a second underwater and then popping back up, laughing again.
“I need to learn that trick,” Lexie says wryly. “I tried last week, asked her if I repeat myself, and she just stared at me and said, ‘What’d you say, Mommy?’”
I can’t help it, I laugh, and Lexie glares at me.
“You know she loves pressing your buttons. Every time she finds a new one, she just has to push.”
“Looking forward to her teenage years.” I pull her close, anchoring Jaiden by one leg and looping an arm around her, cupping her stomach.
“If she’s as sassy as you, baby. I’m not looking forward to them either.” Lexie leans her head on my shoulder, covering my hand with hers on her stomach. There’s a subtle movement beneath my fingers.
“Lexie,” I breathe. “Did you feel that? They’re moving.” Of course, she felt it. It’s her body, but she just laughs. It’s not the first time the twins have moved, but I always seem to miss it, so it’s the first time I’ve felt the life growing inside Lexie for myself.
“One of them is moving.” She guides my hand to the other side of her stomach. “This guy has been quiet all day.”
“Guy?” I raise one questioning brow. “I thought we agreed we wouldn’t find out. You got some divination powers I know nothing about?”
She shrugs. “I just have a feeling they’re both guys. God save me. Lennie and I will be outnumbered.”
I chuckle “You hear that, Lennie? Your mom says we’re getting two boys. What do you think?”
“I want sisters! Boys are yucky.” Jaiden jumps to the water, and they start a water war.
“You heard the girl,” I tell Lexie. “Boys are yucky. I sure hope she’ll think like that for a long time.”
Lexie laughs. “I honestly don’t care.” She grimaces and rubs the small of her back. “I’m so big this time, I just want them out . I’ve already gained as much weight as I had by the end with Lena. I’m huge.”
I lean over to whisper in her ear. “You’re sexy as hell, Lexie. Always.”
She turns her head so our mouths are mere inches apart, our lips separated by a single breath. “You think so, huh?”
“I’ll show you tonight,” I whisper over her mouth.
“Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” Jaiden chants. We glance down at our godson, and both laugh.
“You kiss all the time,” Lena mutters from a few feet away. She’s not wrong, but in my defense, her mother is irresistible.
“Lena, we need to get back inside,” Lexie says. “We’ve been in the water all day, and you need your lunch. I bet Max made the grill sandwiches you love so much. After lunch, we can get ice cream from Amorino.”
“A few more minutes, Mommy, please? So, Daddy can swim with me?” Lena asks, lips pouty and huge eyes pleading. If she figures out, she has me wrapped around her little finger, we’re doomed. Who am I kidding? The girl was born knowing. “You think you can keep up with me? Okay squirt. Let’s go.”
After a while, we get out of the water and join the others for lunch in the terrace. Lena claps and rocks her shoulders, some little move she and Jaiden made up. The two are thick as thieves. Jaiden’s at our house as much as Lena is at Rash and Maxwell’s.
“What’s that you’re drawing, Lennie?” Liv asks. She might not like kids, but she sure is crazy about her goddaughter.
“It’s us!” Lena grins.
“Let me see.” I reach for the paper. Lexie walks up beside me and looks down at the drawing in my hand. It’s a man-stick figure with which I assume is a stethoscope around his neck, obviously me. A shorter woman-stick she’s colored caramel and who has brown lines drawn around her shoulders for hair. Jaiden made Lexie’s stomach a circle and there’s two orange round things inside.
“Grapefruit,” Lennie says. “Mommy said the babies are like grapefruits now.”
“Ahhhh.” Lexie purses her lips against a smile. “You got them perfectly, baby.”
In her drawing, she is standing between Lexie and me, holding our hands. I tilt my head, staring at what Lena’s holding in the drawing. A white bird?
“What’s that white thing your holding, squirt?”
“It’s Tom!” She says, her smile wide and proud. “He’s an angel, like mommy said.” Tom’s name, said so unexpectedly, causes the adults on the terrace to hold their breaths collectively. Lexie goes perfectly still beside me, and her hand goes instinctively to her stomach. That old fear lives in the back of both our minds. As much as losing Tom still hurts, we talk openly about him to our daughter, making sure she knows she has a big brother looking out for her all the time, even though she never met him.
“You can have it, Mommy,” Lena offers, her beautiful smile slipping, his childish intuition sharp enough to pick up on the shift of mood in the terrace. “I-I drew it for you, so we can put it in the twins’ nursery.”
“It’s so good, Lennie. That’s a great idea,” I say, glancing at Lexie, who stares down at the paper. Even though she isn’t crying, her eyes have that look of shattered glass she sometimes gets when she thinks of Tom. Unfortunately, therapy doesn’t eradicate pain. Not for the first time, I wish I could carry it for her, but I can’t.
“This is your most beautiful drawing yet, Lennie,” Lexie says after clearing her voice, reaching down to caress the angel on it. “I love it very, very much. It will look perfect in their room.” She bends to kiss her hair, closes her eyes tightly and then cups Helena’s little head and kisses her forehead, too. She clears her throat and pulls back to spread an overbright smile and says, “Who’s ready for ice cream?”
ALEXIS
Accident. That’s how everybody described what happened to my baby boy. An accident. It does hurt less than it used to. At first, I couldn’t think about Tom without aching and falling into a black hole. Five horrible years, where I needed to numb myself or ignore my pain to keep breathing. An empty shell that had trouble breathing. I would cringe at the sound of Tom’s name, incapable of pronouncing it myself. Not because I didn’t want to hear it, but because I wanted to hold him so badly. It’s been years, but my body perfectly recalls the sweet little weight of him in my arms. His scent still fills my nostrils if I draw a deep enough breath. I remember the dark tangle of curls brushing against my cheek. His little voice calling me mommy. Some days my head and thoughts are locked in a room with those last memories, and I don’t want to leave because he’s still there. As difficult as that day was, in that memory, he’s still there. But life goes on. It has moved on, and I’m a baby two and three. I’m years into a marriage full of love I spent five years thinking wasn’t even possible.
“You okay?” I glance up from the table, from Lenna’s drawing, which I’ve found myself thinking about all day, to see Liv, wearing concern on her intense green eyes. The terrace is clear of dishes from tonight’s meal, and everyone’s gone to their respective corners. It’s just Livvie and me.
“I’m fine.” The concern on her face stays. “I swear; I’m fine,” I say. “Just thinking. Remembering.”
“Anything you want to talk about?” Her voice is unusually soft. Her gaze, as usual, is knowing.
“I’m all talked out. A lifetime of expensive therapy will do that to a girl. I guess I’m feeling more than thinking, but I’m good.”
“Okay. I’m here if you need me.”
“I know Liv. I don’t know how I would have done otherwise.”
“I think I will go join Maxwell for a nightcap”
“Now you’re talking.” I sigh and stand from the table, squeeze her hand. “I’m going to turn in. Take a quick bath since Drake is putting Lena to bed.”
“Alright. I’ll see you in the morning.” She gives me a wry grin. “I may even cook breakfast.”
I deadpan, and Liv chuckles. “Did I say cook? I meant order.”
I laugh. “That’s more like it. Good night, Liv,” I say, grabbing Lena’s drawing.
After just a few minutes in the bathtub, I dry off and belt a terry cloth robe over my nakedness, smiling when both babies move. “Hello, boys.” I don’t care what Drake says, I know what I feel. “I’d love for Daddy to feel both of you move. Can we make a deal that you’ll let him feel you both at some point?”
“Daddy would love that, too,” Drake says from the doorway. Leaning one shoulder into the door and wearing a white shirt, sleeves-rolled-up, he looks so attractive, my husband. His face grows more handsome the older he gets. He has that strong virility that somehow converts years into sexual magnetism. I walk over and reach up to caress his jaw, shadowed with stubble.
“You have a little gray in your beard, Mr. Walker.” I close the space between us and tip my toes to kiss him.
He grunts, closing his eyes and leaning into me, his hardness pressing into my belly. I want him so badly. The restlessness I’ve felt most of the day needs an outlet, and I know the best, most pleasurable way to get it.
“Lie down,” he says, leading me to the bed. My hand goes to the belt of my robe, but he stops me. “I want to unwrap you myself,” he says.
I lie on my back, and he hovers over me, connecting our eyes. I see desire there, yes, but concern, too.
“Drake, I’m okay,” I tell him, grabbing his hand and kissing it.
“You sure?” His dark brows form a frown. “The drawing—”
“It took me off guard.” I pull his hand into the neck of my robe, passing his palm over my nipple until it buds beneath his fingers. “But now I want you.”
He hesitates, searching my face and eyes before nodding. Our eyes meet, and beneath the desire filling his stare, a question lingers.
“Drake.” I place his hand on my stomach. “I’m fine.”
He bends to kiss my stomach, the underside of my breast. That restlessness needs attention, try to disturb my desire, but before I can allow myself to be distracted, the lights in the bedroom dim and my husband’s hands are on me. Drake opens the robe as if it’s a gift.
“Fuck baby, you’re so gorgeous.”
He lies down to spoon me, brushes my hair aside, and kisses my nape.
“You okay?” he asks. I know Drake well enough to hear the restraint he’s exercising. The restlessness caught him too, and in days like this, he needs wild, unbridled fucking, but he doesn’t want to hurt the twins or me. As many times as I reassure him, it’s hard for him to believe it’s okay to be as rough with me as we love sometimes.
“Drake, please, fuck me hard. I need it as much as you do.”
“Lexie,” he rasps, dropping his forehead against my hair. “Don’t ask. . .I can’t. . .the way I feel right now . . . I wish you knew what you do to me.”
“Show me.”
And he does; he takes me hard and rough. He fucks me into oblivion, until there’s nothing else but him and me. I’ve needed this desperately, craved the feeling that comes when we make love, when we’re like this, when we have this together, when he’s inside me.
“Fuck, Lex,” he growls. “I love you.”
Tears fill my eyes. The tears I wouldn’t allow myself earlier because Tom was years ago and I should be over it. I could hide that from myself, but I can’t hide anything from him. The tears run down my face, and they aren’t all grief or sorrow. They’re tears of gratitude for my little squirt sleeping down the hall. Tears of hope for the twins growing inside of me. Tears of happiness for the love of a man like Drake.
“God, Drake,” I sob. “I love you, I love you.”
Hours later, we lay together side to side, exhausted. All my restlessness gone, forgotten.
“Wow,” he says.
“Wow, I repeat. You have a magical dick.”
We both laugh at that, and he tickles me, making me wriggle in his arms. Suddenly, we both go still, feeling the movement in my belly at the same time. Like tiny synchronized swimmers, one of my boys moves on my left and the other on the right.
“Shit.” Drake’s gaze meets mine. “Both of them are moving. That’s. . .that’s amazing, Lex.”
“It is. I wanted you to feel that so badly. I feel them do that all the time, but I wanted . . . I’m so happy . . .” I stop, emotionally exhausted.
“Our life,” I say suddenly, toying with the hair on his chest.
“What about it?” he asks, kissing the top of my head.
I reach up to touch the flecks of gray in his stubble. “I’m so glad we met when we were young. That we will grow old together. That I’ll have a life with you. Despite all the years we spent apart. We lost so much, but now we have this life, our marriage, our kids.”
He tenderly rubs my belly. “These kids, all worth the wait. And no matter what comes, we’ll face it together.” I turn around, he pulls me tightly against his chest, and we fall asleep together.

A Queen’s Request
Deliverance: Chapter 46 - Redemption.
(Notes at the end.)
The train made it all the way to Orvud, miraculously.
There had been moments where they'd stood halted on the tracks, waiting for debris to be moved, and Levi had been seconds from pushing his way off. But each time, just as his limbs twitched towards action, the damn thing would shudder to life again and forwards they would roll. As though by some act of divine intervention.
By the time he disembarked with the last of the crowd, Levi’s limbs ached, but they were less shaky; his steps more sure on the paving of the platform despite his faint limp. His right hand felt as though it had been stretched in a vice. His fingers were back - all but the tips and fingernails. He kept his arm tucked inside his cloak, careful not to allow any trace of steam to escape as he moved along with the other passengers.
When he slipped outside of the station, his head screamed at him to run and find a horse. He didn't; he kept his gait as brusquely measured as his still-healing body would allow, hood pulled low to disguise his bandaged features. His good eye was drawn immediately to the green jackets on the street up ahead. Six or seven soldiers, all gathered into a tight group, white sashes knotted around their upper arms, rifles resting against their shoulders. They surveyed the crowd of passengers spilling out onto the road like pack animals.
Levi squared his jaw beneath his hood. It made his face ache.
Jaegerists.
There was no mistaking them. The chain of command had been overthrown - the military answered to the Jaegerist faction now. Apparently even here, away from the chaos of Shiganshina and the southern districts, they were making their presence known.
Well then. If the military belonged to them now, then Levi was no longer a fucking soldier.
He slowed his pace as he neared them. They had begun stepping into people’s paths.
Shit.
They were going to stop him. And then they were bound to realise who he was.
With a growl of frustration, he ducked down a side street. This wasn’t the way he needed to head. He needed a damn horse, and the stables were on the city outskirts. But he kept walking. Taking out seven soldiers in one go, all armed with rifles, was a tall ask in his current condition. Might just be doable, but who knew how many reinforcements lurked nearby. No reason to get them all up in arms and losing their shit if he could just slip quietly past. Plus, at this point, it was likely believed that he was dead.
That suited him fine. The element of surprise would serve him best for whatever awaited him at the Orphanage.
The thought of that place, and of her, made a lump form at the back of his throat. He swallowed it down forcefully.
At the end of the road, he made to take a swift left.
Three of the bastards greeted him - advancing from the opposite end of the street. He turned on his heels a little clumsily, cursing the heaviness in his legs.
Their boots snapped against the cobblestones behind him.
Shit, shit.
“Hey.”
He heard a rifle cock somewhere to the rear. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.
Don’t stop. Keep moving forwards.
His gaze swept the buildings ahead, searching for an alleyway or alcove; somewhere out of view.
Passers by were staring now while giving him a wide berth.
“I said, hey.” The same voice echoed behind him.
“Fucking fuck,” he ground out under his breath, before sidestepping quickly down a narrow alleyway.
As expected, the clatter of boots followed him.
Alright, then. Time to see how well that shitty serum had really worked.
😬
Yooooo! So. Take this with a pinch of salt, as I still have 15 days to edit the absolute heck out of everything which you know I love to do OBSESSIVELY. I got a comment on a review recently mentioning how things would be better with more Levi action, and I actually did a little fist bump in the air. Oh, it is coming, guys. I’m hoping this one is going to be a wild ride for everyone. It's another one I’ve been waiting to write for a whiiiile.
Anyways. Let me know your predictions for this chapter - what do you think is going to happen? Will Levi get to the Orphanage? What will he do to George? What will he do to ZEKE and FLOCH? What’s going to happen to Historia and their child? AHHHH even I’m excited for this one 🤣

Also I apologize for how badly written this is…

Sokka x reader
Warnings: Blood, dying (she doesn’t actually die though), and my really bad writing...
Summary of part 2: While on vacation on Ember Island a year after the war, Sokka finds a girl dying on the beach.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧
Sokka had been excited about a very-well earned Ember Island vacation with his friends. Ever since the war ended, the Gaang was never able to relax and have some fun together. It seemed like Zuko and Aang were always busy fulfilling their Firelord and Avatar duties, and Katara was always needed in their village in the South Pole. On the first morning of the awaited vacation, he recruited Team Avatar and looked them all in the eye.
“I worked VERY hard on preparing this wonderful trip ahead of us.” Suki coughed. “I mean, Suki helped. DO NOT ruin it for us.” He could already imagine something going wrong, or something coming up that messed up his perfectly planned schedule. “For now, you have exactly one hour and twenty-seven minutes to settle in and chill for a bit. Then, we’ll eat!” The group cheered and disbanded, going into their respective rooms to put away luggage and relax.
Sokka decided to walk along the shores for a bit. He opened the door and hopped out to breathe in the ocean air and take in the view. He looked around and something caught his eye. Something… was laying on the sand? He got closer to see what it was. He cursed under his breath when he realized it was an actual human girl. Sokka frantically turned around, looking for someone to help, and saw Toph walking outside.
“Toph!” he yelled. “Quickly, get Katara!” He ran towards the girl on the shore and delicately placed her on his lap, placing her so that she lay on his chest. He felt for a pulse and checked to see if she was breathing. Her heart was going a million miles per second. The girl opened her eyes, and Sokka could see the panic in them. Oh. She thinks I’m a threat...
“Hey, it’s okay.” He tried to stay calm for the girl’s sake. Red, sticky, blood was running down the sand. “You’re safe now. My friend went to go get help.” Sokka hoped Toph was getting Katara now. She had to have heard; she was blind so her hearing was excellent, right?
“Everything is going to be fine,” he tried to reassure her. He picked her up as gently as he could and ran back towards the beach home they were staying at. He felt her go limp in his arms. Part of him was wondering whether he should be saving her; what if she was an enemy? The other part of him was scolding himself for thinking that way. No. If there was one thing he learned from his sister, it was not to turn your back on anyone who needs him. He ran towards Katara’s room and prayed that Toph heard him. He knocked at Katara’s door, faster and faster every second she didn’t answer until he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around to see Katara standing behind him, with Toph by her side.
“Katara!” His sister’s eyes widened as she saw the girl in his arms, blood smeared all over his clothes. “Okay, I didn’t do this. I found this girl on the beach and she was already losing a lot of blood.” He lay the girl on Katara’s spare cot. “Can you help her?” Katara examined her wound.
“I- I can try. It looks pretty bad.” Sokka covered his eyes (I mean… privacy?) as Katara lifted up the girl’s shirt. She gasped. “Sokka.” He opened his eyes. Oh my gosh. He closed his eyes again. The girl’s entire hip was covered with a huge bloody cut. “She’s gonna have to stay for a while…” Katara said, as she began healing her with her waterbending.
“I wonder what happened... ” he whispered. Katara gestured for him to leave, so Sokka headed towards the door. Before he left, he got one last look at the scene before the door closed behind him.

Soooooooo you said you could do a whole post on Hazel and Joe and I WANNA SEE THIS PLS SUNSHINE
YES MAAM!! hazel and joe’s friends to lover truly gives me SO MUCH LIFE!! i just wanted to finally write a friends to lover where they had set foundations, trust, loyalty, memories, inside jokes, all of it, to make it clear to the readers that they had history, i just wanted to show how they worked throughout the whole story, and the reason it took as long as it did was to truly show their devotion. i’m sorry if this post is LONG AS HELL but i adore these two :)
WARNING THIS IS SO UNHEALTHILY LONG LIKE WHAT AM I DOING BUT I LOVE THEM AND HAVE NO SHAME -> this is only for the soldier of stars, so if you fancy stuff from Ad Astra, i can do that as well LOL
Hazel Parker and Joe Liebgott - Friends to Lovers
Am I going to give a thorough in depth analysis of their friendship together? YES MA’AM! Honestly writing these two showed me, that even in dark times you can love someone for who they are, just so many things about how love continues to get through boundary after boundary and these two I feel showed me that, and it makes my heart warm :)) ANDDDD since this post is so ungodly long and just the first book LOL if you want me to do it for Ad Astra Per Aspera, i gladly can, but i didn’t want to continue to make it longer and longer HAHA <3
The First Meeting
I loved that when they first met, Hazel managed to shut up both George Luz and Joe Liebgott with one sentence. And I think it’s where we see that Hazel isn’t what many people suspect she is because she regards the fact that if it’s worth fighting for, you’ll fight for it, and to be honest that’s okay. To fight for what’s right for you. And for Joe, seeing someone, supposedly viewed as innocent, clearly then state afterwards that she would fight for what was right as well -> something maybe not suspected of her, it draws Joe in.
The First Stargaze
Stargazing as you know it, is one of the most important aspects in Hazel’s life and Joe coming out to stargaze with her, something that so is not Joe Liebgott, really signifies their friendship for me personally, just because Joe left the dance, to stargaze with Hazel, I mean if that isn’t the start of a friendship I’m not sure what is :)
Teasing - the softest and purest
Hazel had started offering Liebgott her notes, and soon enough they were sharing notes, huddled side by side, writing things down together, and sometimes Joe would bump her as she wrote just to mess her up or peeve her off the deep end. But it was all good fun in the end.
" You know, Joe, hitting my shoulder and messing up my notes, is messing up your notes as well." Hazel had told him one afternoon as Lieutenant Winters stood at the front of the group going over spits of information based on the ideology of the ground and its importance when doing practice runs or drills that were supposed to be of semblance to real combat.
" I don't entirely care, Parker, I'm just here to annoy ya." Joe mumbled back as Winters voice grew louder.
" Funny," muttered Hazel, as she kicked his foot under the table. She saw Joe smirk at her. He kicked her foot back and she glanced over towards him.
" What?" he asked, like he didn't just hit her foot.
" I'm a sniper, Joe," Hazel said softly, as she wrote another few words down in her book.
" And?"
" Well," Hazel said as Winters glanced towards the two, " my bullets came move 1,000 feet per second, Joe."
" Right," Joe said.
" And, I know the spots in the body where the most pain could be inflicted upon bullet entry." Hazel said with a nod looking up at the board again.
" Oh right I forgot." Joe said as Hazel let a giggle pass her lips.
Flowers - The Time Joe Brought Flowers
When she [Grace Burnett] opened the door she smiled wide and let out a jolly laugh.
" Well, she'll be happy to see you all." Grace said as Hazel looked over and watched as a bouquet of yellow flowers appeared with Joe Liebgott as the handler, with Shifty just behind him with Catherine and Lizzie bringing up the rear, with a laughing George Luz, which was no surprise.
" There she is!" Joe called noticing the girl on the couch, curled up into a blanket with sunken in eyes. Hazel smiled weakly.
" Hi." she croaked out.
" Aw, honey." Catherine said, as she frowned with sad eyes, hearing her lost voice. Joe was the first to reach her and pull her into a hug.
" I'm sick." Hazel said as Joe held her close, smelling of pine and cigarette smoke. Joe pulled back with a smirk, a few strands of hair in his face.
" I don't care about that, Parker." Joe said, before holding out the flowers as the rest of the guys filtered into the room, " These are for you." Hazel smiled at him with blushing cheeks.
" Aww, thanks guys." Hazel said, turning and coughing briefly.
" You can thank this guy right here," George said slapping Joe on the shoulders, to which Joe glared.
" Thanks Joe." Hazel said to him and he smiled at her with a nod.
Joe Talks About His Mom
" You sound like you have a nice family." Hazel said as she glanced at him. Joe glanced at her.
" Yeah, I'd say I do, but mama runs the house. You respect her or you get a slap." Joe said and Hazel smiled shyly, as Joe glanced at her.
" 'Course, you know me, I upset her a few times when I shouldn't have." Joe said. Hazel watched him.
" I got in fights a lot, bruised bloody knuckles, some skinny guy like me getting beat up in the bar down the street." Joe said, shrugging before looking at Hazel,
" Ever since I was a kid really." Hazel softly watched him, with concerned eyes.
" I'd get pushed down in the park?" Joe started, nodding his head as he picked at his fingers, annoyed, " I'd cry. And I'd go running home to my mom, where she'd give me hugs and kisses, and then some of that Hershey's chocolate."
" It's why you love it so much." Hazel said, shifting closer to Joe in the cold and looking at him gently. Joe felt a small smile on his face as he watched her.
" Yeah, you could say that." Joe said as Hazel grinned.
Joe loves his mom and I LIVE BY THAT. And chocolate being a comfort food because it reminds him of his mom, like yes, I’m going with that, and I just love that Hazel sits and listens to him, it makes me SOFT. Because mainly they both just love their mothers :)
Tricks and Pranks
She glanced towards Liebgott again thinking of her innocent little plan from this morning. She grinned to herself, before slowly bringing her socked feet over the edge to touch the ground. She slowly stood, with her outstretched hands in front of her, tip-toeing towards the sleeping man in his bed. She wanted to get him back after almost a year of the playful teasing she endured from him. And plus, they were friends, she had every right to wake him from a peaceful sleep. Hazel watched Joe shift a bit in his bed and then resume snoring again. Hazel smirked to herself.
Then she acted. She jumped lightly onto him, right next to his ear, and had to let out a laugh before saying a quick boo in his ear. Joe shot awake underneath her, and it seemed his first instinct was to latch onto her, shoving her to his side, down into the bed, his eyes wide, breathing heavy. But all he saw was Hazel, beside him, small giggles leaving her lips as she squeezed her eyes shut, laughing. Joe tried to be mad at the girl for waking him up, but he felt he couldn't be mad at her. She was too innocent to be remotely upset for waking him up.
" Well, good morning to you, too." Joe muttered out as Hazel managed to let out one final laugh, before looking at him.
" That's for those months of teasing me." Hazel said as she giggled again. Joe couldn't keep the smirk that crawled onto his face off, as Hazel laughed.
" You're gonna get it, Parker." Joe said as Hazel just laughed, turning to roll off the bed to her socked feet again, a smile on her face.
" Sure," Hazel said, as she turned to him, with innocent eyes, and then frowned, " but why would you do that to me?" Joe bit his lip.
" Those puppy dog eyes don't work on me anymore, Parker." Joe said as he sat up and rubbed his eyes, " Only when you were sick and that was it." Hazel giggled.
" Can you two shut up?" a voice groaned and the two looked towards Chuck who's body hadn't moved as the voice crept out from around the pillow.
" Yeah Hazel." Joe said childishly as Hazel scoffed.
" You shut up." Hazel said, swinging her foot out towards his bed like a kid.
" No you." Joe argued.
" How about you both shut your yaps!" Bill yelled as he lied on his side across the barrack, his voice annoyed. Hazel couldn't help but look away and let a giggle past her lips childishly as Joe smirked at her. They were just kids. Hazel and Joe together were a pair of childish kids basically.
PRANKS ARE SO FUN AND THESE TWO MAKE IT SO ADORABLE AND HILARIOUS AHHHH
Comfort + Respecting Privacy
Joe Liebgott was the one who sat down beside his best friend, wrapping his warm, comforting arm around her shoulder and letting her rest her head on his shoulder. Joe wasn't about to start asking Hazel what was wrong, he had learned from his sisters that sometimes they just liked to be held in hugs and not talked to. That being there and being held was enough. Hazel wasn't used to that sort of comfort but she was beginning to welcome it with open arms. Joe came to a realization that night; he didn't like seeing Hazel cry. When Joe finally got Hazel resting, or at least attempting rest, he saw the letter that she had dropped to the side. But Joe held himself and closed the letter up and placed it beside the girl's boots. It was for her eyes only and he respected that.
Joe respecting her privacy with the letter from her father, truly shows the amount of respect he holds for her and I truly find it so beautiful, that middle line in bold, like I just love their friendship so much.
D-Day Hug
" Oh, Easy Company!" the group heard. The group turned and faceswere filled with relief to see more members of Easy sitting on the edge with bright smiles on their faces. A smile blossomed on Hazel's face as she recognized Joe Liebgott immediately.
" Joe!" she said excitedly as he neared her. A smile lit up his features as he immediately came upon the girl and wrapped his arms around her. She immediately wrapped her arms around him and hugged him so tight, she wasn't sure if he was still breathing or not. She could've cried as he held her tightly in his arms, so protectively. She had never wanted to hug someone as much as she did now, just to have someone's arms around her, holding her and securing her. She never knew what security a hug could provide.
Physical touch is an important aspect for both of them, especially the meaning of a hug for the both of them. After this, Joe comforts her after her encounter with a German on D-Day, and it’s the first time Joe reassures her about a very real and impactful and painful, traumatizing situation. From her on we see where Hazel knows she can trust Joe with her emotions.
Talking About Their Faith
" Did you think you'd be here?" Joe asked her, " You know after you joined the WAC?" Hazel glanced at him and let out a tiny sigh before glancing at the sky again.
" I believe in God, Joe." Hazel said softly and then looked at him. Joe watched her softly.
" God believed that he could put me through something like this, and I believed I could to," Hazel said softly, eyes shining with stars in them, " so when the flyer came I signed up." Hazel looked at him with a sad shrug. He didn't know about her dad. But she didn't want to gain all his trust and then show him that she really feared trusting people so much. But the thing was, she trusted Joe, a lot. They were best friends.
This was just so important, for Joe, for Hazel, for both of them, to sit under the stars in the middle of Normandy and for Hazel to tell Joe about her faith in God, and think about her trust she held in Joe. I loved this moment.
Flowers 2.0
That's when there was a knock on the door.
" Blasted, who could that be at this time?" Harry said throwing his kitchen towel over his shoulder and heading up the step towards the door. Harry opened the door as the three women watched and saw Harry's face light up.
" I knew it was you!" Harry called, stepping out to hug the person on the other side, " C'mon in ya blood Yank, gave me half a scare." Hazel raised a brow watching as Lizzie sipped her tea softly. That's when it was non-other than Joe Liebgott who stepped through the door, a smirk upon his features, hair a bit fluffier than normal, and a bouquet of flowers in his grasp. She watched Lizzie smirk and lean over to Hazel and Grace.
" And supposedly he's just a best friend." Lizzie murmured. Hazel shoved Lizzie's shoulder as Lizzie chuckled. Grace smiled at the blush that bloomed on Hazel's face.
" There she is!" called Joe as he entered the kitchen and went over to Hazel first, grabbing her in a hug from behind.
" These are for you." Joe said as he handed her the flowers.
" Aw thank you, Joe," Hazel said, fighting down more of a blush than she ever had.
" Where'd you get them, Joe?" grace asked as Joe gave her a quick hug.
" Down at the market, they have the best flowers there." Joe said, before giving Lizzie a quick hug and resuming standing next to the little island a smile on his features as he watched Hazel gently sniff the flowers and smile at them.
" Thank you, Joe, really." Hazel said.
" What can I say? You're turning 20, I say yellow flowers are pretty important for that." Joe said and Hazel grinned.
Need I say more LOL
Having Each Other’s Backs
" Hey, man what's your issue?" one replacement snapped.
" My issue is, you're not treating her right, and I don't like that. Either grow up or go home. There's a reason you're here." Joe snapped. The replacements stared at him.
" Disrespecting her or any women, is never the reason." Joe snapped again, " you're here to fight a war. And that war's a scary thing, so open your damn eyes and get that through your brains." Joe then put the cigarette back on his lips, and turned away from them and walked back over to Hazel who stared with wide eyes at him. He just placed an arm over her shoulder and turned her around.
" I promise you right now that I'm fuming inside." Joe said to her through the cigarette on his lips. Hazel smiled softly. Joe always had her back, even when she felt she couldn't say anything.
“Best Friend Privileges”
" Let me show ya." Joe said as he pushed from the counter and walked to her side. She glanced at him.
" No." Hazel said, a small smirk on her face.
" Good luck Joe, she's rubbing off on you." Catherine said leaning back to watch. Hazel laughed.
" No?" Joe said a smirk on her face, " Come on, I wanna help you." Hazel pulled the dart back shaking her head. Joe stared at her, a smirk on his face.
" What? No best friend privileges?" he said. Best friend privileges; a cute little phrase that Hazel and Joe had started tagging onto the end of things, when they would play around and they couldn't get what either of them wanted, or just to annoy the other.
“ Best friend privileges”? ok you two LOL
Adoration
Joe watched Hazel's eyes, even if it were from the side. He didn't know what had gotten into him, but Hazel truly fascinated him. And it was a good fascination. A fascination in the sense of adoration. And Joe never thought he'd adore Hazel as much as he did, because he kept a tight circle usually. But Hazel....Hazel was Hazel. She wasn't fake, she wasn't someone who tried to be someone else, she was loyal and trustworthy and genuine and Joe just knew he could talk to her about anything.
Joe had never admitted it to anyone, but he had always thought that even from the start that she had a beautiful soul. And even if it were cliche, he had never met someone who was like Hazel. And he was glad that the person he did meet was Hazel. Maybe it was the look in her eyes when she greeted everyone in the barracks as he stood cowering in the corner pissed off at Bill Guarnere for the fight that broke out between the two of them, and then the anger that resided with him the rest of the boat ride. Maybe it was the fairly firm handshake she had offered and the way her eyes were gentle enough to tell a different story compared to the rest of the company. Maybe it was because she didn't approach him, asking what the other girls would ask; a dance, a kiss. Maybe it was because she had accepted Joe for who he was and didn't seem to care that he was a real asshole or that he was someone who would fight people, until his hands dripped crimson red blood, down his knuckles and into his fingers.
Maybe it was what she had said to him, as she looked into her eyes, without fear, that sometimes people fought because they fought for what they believed in. Maybe because instead of doubting himself for launching at Bill, he actually believed it, for a probable cause. Joe didn't know what it was, why he was the way he was, but Hazel had accepted him for him - and she always seemed to do that with every person. Joe Liebgott felt there was no higher strength than that.
Soft Joe? YES MA’AM. Need I even say more about this scene.
The Two Beans Defending Each Other
Joe and Hazel, the two peas in a pod they were, were practically inseparable after the events of Nuenen and especially her ongoing sickness which fought her throat like a dragon in a cage. So there they were, passed out and exhausted as they snored silently side by side curled in balls like those cats you saw in the window shops on Main Street. But Joe, being the person he was, cared for his friends in any way he could. He agreed, he was an asshole, but he was asshole for specific reasons most of the time. But with his friends, that was different. Especially a friend, a best friend at that who was sick and was kept up at night by coughs or a fever or the chills.
Over the past few weeks, he had been staying closer to Hazel than before, making sure she ate and drank, making sure she slept and was warm and if there was medicine that Gene could provide that she could get some. And so sleeping next to her, was another way to make sure that if she started coughing, he was there, to make sure he patted her back, and got her water. But he'd always been that way whenever one of his family members were sick. He was cocky, and admittedly rude sometimes, and he had a crude sense of humor, but family and friends were important and when he cared, he cared; he didn't try to hide that. And many of the men knew that about Joe. When Joe cared about someone, he did everything in his power to make sure they were alright.
And in this case, it was Hazel. Catherine looked up from her cup of water towards Joe and Hazel who were curled up, sound asleep and smiled softly. Catherine truly admired their companionship. They were complete opposites, yet they were best friends who understood each other like the backs of their own hands. If Hazel was doing it, Joe probably was as well and where ever the one went, the other followed. And they acted like actual children, but knew when to get serious. And if you messed with either one of them, hell came for them.
I can’t preach enough about these two having each other’s back, it’s the cutest thing and it makes me so soft. But Joe being by her side as she is horribly sick, is one of the purest things ever, just to make sure she’s okay, I can’t even describe how important it is that he sticks around as she is so ungodly sick. (+Joe Liebgott punching Cobb out the week before for saying something about Hazel, but maybe that’ll be another post :))
Physical Touch > Comfort
Hazel watched Joe come up the dike, her eyes softly resting on him. Joe met her eyes from across the large area. Hazel bit her lip and then slowly approached Joe who stood, seemingly waiting to rip off someone's head. Joe didn't scare Hazel, whether he was happy, whether he was sad, whether he was upset. She never feared a friend. She never feared someone she trusted, but sometimes they broke your heart in the end. And that's where Hazel was careful. But Joe. Joe she trusted deeply. Hazel looked up at him, as he tried to contain himself, contain the anger that seemed to want to spill past every inch of him. Hazel slowly reached forward and gently pushed up the brim of his helmet from his eyes. Joe felt his eyes close at the soft touch. When he opened his eyes next, Hazel's soft eyes were watching his. Her eyes then went to his neck. She slowly reached to his wound and gently touched the skin on his neck. He flinched.
" Make sure you get that checked out, Joe." Hazel whispered softly. Joe looked at her and forcefully nodded. He was angry, so angry. Hazel knew that physical touch calmed Joe more than anything; it was something his mother had always done from what he had told her about Mrs. Liebgott. Liebgott had told Hazel that his mother would always try to hug him, brush her hands through his hair or scuff it up to annoy him, gently pat his shoulder, give him a rub on the back. So Hazel slowly reached forward and adjusted his collar and the part of his ODs which buttoned up on the front. Joe watched his friend, her gentle eyes remaining so focused even after the chaos of the battle they'd just gone through, the little bit of her tongue poking out from her lips as she remained focused on adjusting the front of his ODs, her freckles more prominent from the constant sun she had been getting, the way her blue eyes flitted about. Joe slowly reached up and wrapped his hands around Hazel's, causing her to look up towards him slowly. Joe let out a shaky breath, attempting to calm himself. Hazel always calmed him down, even if she didn't know it. Joe then didn't hesitate to slowly wrap his arms in a trembling hug around her neck and pull her into his arms. Hazel slowly hugged him back, pulling him close, holding him there. Sometimes the boys needed to be held, it was human nature.
Hazel comforting Joe, quite possibly is the purest thing I’ve ever written in my life and the fact she makes him calmer and more controlled makes me love them even more!! <3
Joe Returning From His Neck Wound
" Guess who?" a voice asked and Hazel's eyes widened.
" The life size Hershey bar?" Hazel asked quietly, a small smile starting to bloom on her face.
" I think better than that." the voice said and Hazel slowly turned her head.
" Joe!" Hazel cried, shooting up from her bed to wrap her arms around his neck. She heard Joe laugh in her ear as he wrapped his arms around her, bringing her close. She cuddled her head into his neck, a small smile on her face, as she squeezed her eyes shut. She had missed him more than she thought.
" I missed you Joe." Hazel said quietly so only he could hear. She felt his chest rumble, he chuckled. He smelled like pine, a good pine scent, the one you smelled in winter in the mountains, sorta like when you would get a Christmas tree, and there was that familiar hint of smoke. It was comforting.
" I missed you more, Parker." Joe said and Hazel grinned. Hazel just squeezed him tighter in the hug, he was back and he was here.
THE LIFESIZE HERHSEY BAR I SWEAR I LOVE THIS PART
PARIS
There’s too many good parts in the Paris chapters to even sight, so I’m just going to tell my own view on it, where we finally see Hazel trust Joe enough to tell him about her past, where Joe finally realizes he loves her after the French Aritst drew her and all we see is his interior monlogue of the entire thing of him just straight up ADMIRING her. And Hazel telling Joe about her past, trusting him enough to know, is something VERY important to her and to both of them because Hazel doesn’t tell many people so telling Joe is H U G E. And then of course the Effiel Tower and he helps her DANCE AGAIN because dancing centers around the bad memories of her father who left her and we see Joe really starting to fall in love. AH. It just makes me so so happy to see it and there’s too many adorable things to sight so here’s the chapters:
57 through 58: https://my.w.tt/v6dzKHBML8
Joe Tells George About His Feelings (+Their Underrated Friendship)
I really wanted to bring about the friendship of Joe Liebgott and George Luz, because I feel like they’d be a chaotic duo and writing them is always chaotic and it is HILARIOUS but also full of brotherly love and just Joe telling George about his realization of his feeling for Hazel. We start to see Joe, really starting to get these feelings, but also remembering there is a war on and getting attached could easily get any of them killed in the end, so it’s very much a tough mental battle.
Joe and Hazel Talking About Lieutenant Dike
Honestly these two gossiping about Dike gave me so MUCH LIFE.
" Sergeant Lipton, he told me you had to go on OP duty. Supposedly one's been dug out." he said.
" Sir, what OP, there's multiple." Hazel asked him quickly, confused.
" He said there's one around here." Dike said looking past her and Joe, " I'm not sure, he just told me to find you and that you and Powers I believe are on duty first."
" Yes, sir." Hazel said as Dike nodded and then walked right past them. Hazel and Joe watched side by side as Dike walked away, with the audacity to be whistling as he did so.
" We are in the middle of a fucking war, right?" Joe muttered. Hazel glanced at Joe.
" I don't think he cares." Hazel said. And that wasn't in any way going to be beneficial to the men and women of Easy Company.
" You sure you're staying warm?" Joe asked Hazel as they approached the foxhole where Shifty sat, cleaning his weapon.
" Yeah, of course I am." Hazel said.
" Well, you're tiny, Hazel, and tiny and cold don't exactly mesh if you think of it." Joe said as Hazel smirked. She watched Joe's eyes search hers softly. Joe wished he could do something more to make her warmer, but he could barely maintain 98.6 for himself. She looked like she was freezing.
Hazel Tells Joe About Life After The War For Her
" What's on your mind?" Joe asked her, watching as she glanced towards him and a small laugh escaped her.
" It's stupid, Joe." she said. Joe quirked a smirk her way.
" Really? Try me, Parker." Joe said and Hazel grinned, shrugging.
" I don't know, as a little girl you always think about life when you're older and stuff like that," Hazel said and Joe watched her softly, " I've just been thinking a lot about life, after the war." Joe dropped the smirk and a smile filled his features.
" Just the little things, what I might name my first daughter, or what pictures I might hang up in my living room, just little things like that." Hazel said, with a shrug, a small smile. Joe watched Hazel smile and then loop her fingers together, nodding softly.
" You got a name in mind?" Joe asked her and she glanced towards him, fighting down the tiny blush that was on her cheeks.
" I don't know," she said, a nervous giggle escaping her lips, she never had told anyone she thought about this often.
" Why you nervous, it's just me?" Joe said as she giggled softly again.
" Juliette." Hazel said quietly, with a small nod, before peaking up at Joe who watched her intently, " Not from Romeo and Juliet, but the French way. There was a girl in my elementary school who spelled her name that way and she was always so nice to me. I've always liked the name." Hazel smiled fondly, as if a memory were resurfacing in her brain.
" It's a pretty name." Joe said and Hazel looked up at Joe.
" Yeah," Hazel said," I don't know, it's a unique spelling, I like it." Joe smiled at her, and she smiled brightly back. Even in the cold, she found a way to smile and that warmed his heart because currently she was the only thing making him smile.
ACK MY HEART. but for me this scene I felt was important because even in the middle of the war, Hazel is still thinking about life afterwards and CHILDREN something so innocent, so gentle, so kind, so warm, something to vastly different from that of the horror of the cold and blistery Bastogne.
Hazel and Joe After the Solo Patrol
" How was it?" Joe asked her, and she glanced up at him. Hazel let out a sigh and shrugged.
" Just seeing his body there," Hazel said shaking her head, " it wasn't what I expected to see. You know, I was just thinking of what his parents are going to think when they get his dog tag." Joe looked at her.
" He was only a year younger than me," Hazel said, shaking her head.
" I know I'm not the most sentimental type, Hazel, but I know when something's bothering you. You know you can talk to me, I am your best friend. I hate to think you'll keep it on your chest," Joe said as he looked her way. Hazel's heart warmed. Hazel smiled at him, and Joe noticed her dimples show up. They always did when she smiled. She curled her knees up to her chest and let out a sigh.
" Thank you, Joe," she said quietly looking at him in the silence of the snow falling outside and hitting the top of the tarp. The two looked at each other, as Hazel's eyes seemed to shine in the night. Hazel gently took his hand in hers and began gently curling and uncurling his fingers. Joe watched her, his heart pounding faster and faster by the second and she didn't even know.
" You're still wearing this?" she said with a slight giggle, touching the bracelet she had given Joe, which lay on his wrist.
" Of course I am," Joe said, as he watched Hazel smile.
" You just have a little piece of me," she said, her fingers like ice on his skin, and Joe watched her smile. Then she looked up at him and her smile grew, like a child in a candy store.
THIS!! They can have a very REAL conversation about life, but then can easily make each other feel so much better with just a few words, even just a look, they just know how to make one another feel better, to keep humanity around, something the war deprives them of.
Chrismtas 1944 -> Singing
I wanted to make a scene on Christmas Day 1944, where we see the group have a bit of humanity, singing Christmas songs in the snow, a bit of that realness, that human like atmosphere or Christmas that they all miss still very real and very prevalent in most cases.
" Sleigh bells ring, are you listening..." George sang joyfully, wrapping his arm around Bill's shoulder, before poking Bill's ear. Bill swatted at his hand as George chuckled.
" In the lane snow is glistening, a beautiful sight we're happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland..." Bill sang and George gave a whoop. Hazel laughed lightly before looking back at Joe.
" What?" she said softly, reaching forward to tilt his helmet up from his dark eyes.
" Happy looks good on you." he said with a small smile. Hazel blushed and thanked God for the darkness that night provided. Thank God for the darkness.
" Joe..." she whispered.
" I'm serious, you've been through a lot, and seeing you happy, it's a nice sight to see." he whispered softly to her. Hazel let out a tiny giggle, looking down at her hands, before looking back up at Joe. He was smiling.
IT JUST MAKES ME SOFT OKAY I NEEDED THIS AFTER ALL THAT ANGST :(((
Joe Comes Back From Being Winters’ Runner
This scene centers heavily on Joe coming back from being Winters’ Runner at Battalion for a few days, but eventually was sent back to the company because of the way he was with prisoners, but it is between him and Hazel. And normally Joe’s this soft sorta guy around her, but when he approaches her, he’s glum, and dealing with a lot of emotions of anger and hate. And Hazel doesn’t tell him “Joe, you have to be happier.” No, she tells him straight up, that it is okay to feel those things and in time you will get better, but those sad feelings are okay, and I feel that was important between them and for Joe to hear from Hazel, for her to tell him, it is okay to feel things, those sort of emotions. But by the end, we see him lighten up a bit, because I mean Joe with Hazel? He can’t help but soften up.
" It's okay to feel that, I feel it too," she said softly rubbing his arm," your emotions, they're important, it's okay to feel that way." God, Hazel made him so happy, even with just a sentence like that.
" I don't think I've told you thank you enough," Joe said glancing at her. She quirked an innocent brow.
" Just, you're always there for me and my bullshit," Joe said shrugging as she smiled.
" And you're there for mine." she said with a toothy smile from under the brim of her helmet. Joe's heart warmed.
Quiet Comfort
That night, at the dinner line, it was so quiet. Catherine didn't show up for dinner. Hazel and Lizzie were there, but they were so quiet and closed off, that they could barely talk with tear filled eyes, and red, blood-shot eyes. Joe Liebgott sat next to Hazel that night, on the log from earlier that afternoon, as she pushed the food around in the tin. Joe could see her holding back her trembling lip, as well as the tears that wanted to fall from her eyes. So Joe decided to sit beside her and eat quietly, and not say anything. Hazel needed him to know that she appreciated him just sitting there, without saying a word. She slowly reached forward, and grabbed his hand with her gloved one without even making eye contact. She interlaced their fingers, sucking in a shaking breath as she did so. Her hand was cold in his own warm one, but Joe knew it meant the world to Hazel. Joe knew that as thanks from her, especially right now.
To Hazel, Bill Guarnere and Joe Toye meant the world to her; they were like big brothers, always looking out for her, protecting her, defending her, comforting her, just there for her, so she’s hurt after they get wounded, and Joe knows that he just has to sit by her side and not say a word to let her know that he’s there.
Joe And Hazel Talk About The Stars and Sadness
THIS SCENE IT IS SO UNGODLY IMPORTANT FOR BOTH OF THEM - for Joe to come and see Hazel upset and ultimately comfort her and let her know that he’s there for her, it just ACK.
" I'm sorry your sad, Hazel," Joe whispered beside her and she looked at him, " I wish there was something I could do to take it away." Hazel watched his eyes search hers and smiled gently; she knew he was truthful in his words. Joe Liebgott was always truthful to her, no matter what, they were best friends.
" Can you just stay here with me?" she whispered softly, as her eyes welled with more tears.
" Yeah," Joe said immediately, a small smile on his face, " of course, what type of best friend would I be?" Hazel let out a slight giggle that settled Joe for the moment. Joe gently wrapped an arm around her shoulders and she rested her weary head against his shoulder, shutting her eyes. Joe brought her as close as he could, her tiny body, shaking in his grasp as she lay there so quietly.
" I'm glad we're friends you know? Best friends?" Joe said quietly, " Remember I told you how fascinating it was to see your love for the stars? Or how caring and kind you were to everyone and how strong you were?" Hazel gently looked up to meet his eyes with her own and she smiled softly at him.
" How'd I get so lucky to have a friend like you?" Joe said to her and Hazel felt more tears rush to her eyes as she watched him, his face turning blurry from the tears.
" Do you want to tell me about the stars?" he whispered softly, brushing a stray tear from her cheek that trailed down from her sad, blue eyes.
" Yes," she whispered softly watching him and she saw him smile.
" Alright, get comfy," Joe said as she giggled a bit cuddling into his side, and they looked up towards the gleaming stars.
" I'm excited," he whispered as if he were a kid about to watch a movie and Hazel giggled.
Okay so this scene is actually much longer but I wanted to show Joe’s comfort levels from letting her know she’s there, making her feel better, staying with her to comfort her, to hold her, just let her feel safe finally, that sort of thing, and letting her talk about whatever she wants and then ultimately being the most patient listener and it makes me S O F T AHHHHHH I swear these two ruin me.

Part 9.
The fragments of a broken mirror can help you see things in a different way. But it can also distort what you see. How can you trust what you are seeing is real and what isn’t. At this point I felt like I was running my finger along the fragments of that mirror and so far I hadn’t gotten cut. If what I saw was just a distortion would the cut be deeper? Would it draw more blood?
Eilene’s pov
I could feel a firm arm locked around my waist and a warmth at my back as I was awoken but a few rays of sunlight that came in through the window. For the first time in a long time I felt rested and home. I tested the arm and rolled over to face Hamish. The arm loosened but just for a moment until I was settled and then tightened around me once again. This brought a small smile to my face. Hamish seemed to still be sleeping. He was on his stomach with his face turned toward me. In this moment he looked completely relaxed, his breathing even and I couldn’t help but bring my hand to his cheek. When I did he took a breath in but didn’t wake up. I settled back into him and his grip tightened but not uncomfortably so. I fell back asleep.
I don’t know how long I slept for but I was woken up by a hand under my shirt trailing up my back and someones very cold nose in my neck. I groaned and said “too cold” as I tried to pull away. This was met with a growl and a response of “Let me warm you up then.” I laughed. Hamish pulled me in closer and then kissed me. But before things could get any further we heard heavy foot steps coming toward the door and Randall burst in “Guys, Guys, we think we might have found a way.......woooo I’m sorry, that is not what I expected to...... uhm Eilene your awake...... I’m just gonna” He had turned his back toward us at at this point but hadn’t left. What I hadn’t noticed was that Hamish had shifted us to that he was in front of me with a dead stare toward Randall. He peeked around and said “Wow your both very naked. I am just going to let you two uhh...... I will be down stairs with breakfast and info when your ready.” With that he left and closed the door behind him.
“Hamish” I said with my hand on his shoulders. He relaxed and we both laughed. Finally he said “Well I guess that cat’s outta the bag.” Then he kissed me again. “Let’s go see what he’s excited about.” I said. I found a clean pair of leggings and kept on Hamish’s t’shirt as we went down stairs. True to his word, Randall had coffee, orange juice and various pastries. “Oh you’re clothed!” Said Randall as we both came into the Kitchen. “Ha ha” I responded. He was cutting up some banana when he smirked and then casually pointed the knife our way and said “You know I knew there was something with you two, I just couldn’t quite put my finger on it. But I bet you did two did a lot with your fingers last night.” Hamish gave a low growl. It seemed he and Tundra were still on edge. Randall put his hands up in surrender. “What did you want to tell us?” I asked. “So Jack, Alyssa and some others from the Order may have found a way to get Lilith back.” I was sipping some coffee when he said this and set the cup down. “What do you mean get Lilith back?”
Alyssa and Jack were needed at the Temple for some peace talks with a rival magical order, so that left Randall and Hamish to fill me in on everything that had happened while I was recovering. As I took it all in I just stared down at my cup. Somehow I knew she had been gone and that she was alive. Randall went over what they had found and about how today Jack and Alyssa would be hostages for the parley while Randall and Hamish took Gabrielle's and Jacks Ethics exam. My head hurt. Hamish seemed to sense this and he placed a had on my leg. “It’s going to be ok, we will figure this out together.” he said. Randall kept looking between the both of us and finally said “Agreed Hammer time.” To which Hamish said “No.” and I gave a pained face at. “Man come on..... alright I am going to pick up Gabby so we can take this test.” Then he left.
I kept my eyes on my coffee in front of me which Hamish had refilled twice already. “It’s my fault.” I finally said. I was so absorbed in my thoughts. “If I had gotten there sooner, I could have helped either by what I found or helped Jack and Lilith.” Finally I looked up at him feeling nothing but guilt and shame. “I’ve already lost all of you once and now i’m losing you all over again.” My eyes kept darting around him and around the room. I was starting to feel helpless and trapped. Neither of which are good for a werewolf. Hamish acted quickly stepping in front of me, peeling my hands away from the coffee cup and up to his chest. “None of this is your fault.” he said looking into my eyes to keep me focused on him. “what happened to Lilith could have happened to any of us. But we will get her back somehow” I had to tell him.”Hamish, I can feel her, through the bond I can feel her. Her bond is pulled tight like it’s being stretched. I don’t know how long it will hold.” He brought one hand up to my cheek and said “You didn’t fail her and you are not losing anyone. Do you feel that?” He squeezed my hand that he had laid against his chest. It was over his heart and it was beating fast. faster than normal. “I may not have all the pieces to the puzzle, but I know what I feel for you. Yes, I’ve been drawn to Vera, but that is because she reminded me of you, only I didn’t know it. She may be the only way to get Lilith and our memories of you back. We have to take this one step at a time. fight today's battle and keep going.”
All I could do is nod. I stood up and wrapped my arms around him to hug him. As I did so, he let out a sigh of relief and wrapped his arms around me, resting his check atop my head. “We will get through this.” he said and he pulled me in tighter. I relaxed into him and then looked up to say something when he brought his lips to mine. This kiss was needy, desperate almost and I let him have it. “How long do you think we have until Randall gets back with Gabby.” he said. I laughed and then kissed him again.
To say the day brought surprises would be an understatement. Not only had Jack and Alyssa’s hostage situation taken a turn, but Hamish, Randal and Gabby had found the source of the magic tourist. After Hamish lost Foley, I headed to his office at the university to look for him and see what else I could find out about him. Hamish wasn’t fond of me going alone and then I reminded him that I was a werewolf just like he was and I couldn’t just stay home. Foley was clearly smart enough not to be in any place we might actually find him so it allowed me to search his office for anything of interest. I found books on magic and few out of place items that were defiantly from the Orders vaults.
But when I went to inspect a statue on his book shelf there was a clicking sound and part of the bookshelf slid back and over. There wasn’t much space there but just enough to hid a box or two. “Well, well, well Foley. Seems you have more secrets.” I said out loud to myself. Looking down at the box on top I realized what I was looking at. - but how could that be - I thought to myself. Etched into the wood was the word Alpha. This was a hide locker. I sprang open the lid but it was empty. “Foley’s a werewolf?” I said out-loud only this time someone answered me. “No, not that one.” I quickly turned around to see a small Asian woman. “Who are you?” I asked. “The name is Salvador and you are unexpected. But we may be able to fix that. You may be useful.” As she finished she pulled her hand behind her back and blew dust into my face. Then everything went black.
When I woke up I was on a concrete floor with big windows around. I had been moved. I moved to get up and that’s when I realized I had silver chains around my wrist. “Don’t try to move it will only make them burn more.” Someone said from behind me. They came around me and into view. “Salvador. ahhhh.” I hissed. Unfortunately she was right, the chains did burn. “So you remember. I had a feeling that powder wouldn’t work on you.” She said in response. “What do you want” I asked. She knelt down in front of me. “I want to tell you a story.”
Hamish’s pov
Even though we had gotten Jack back in one piece we still needed to deal with Foley. At some point I was going to have ask Vera for help with Eilene, but now was not the time. We had to work on the current crisis in front of us and get Lilith back. But his mind wandered back to Eilene. Her smile and the way it felt when she touched him. Since she woke up Tundra was more settled but he could still feel him bristle underneath him at times. Something told him that Tundra did not feel comfortable with someone being able to take her away from him so easily. As he got lost more in his thoughts Randall seemed to notice and snapped at his face “Earth to Hamish” This worked as intended and I looked at him “What were you saying?” I responded. “I asked if you had ordered Pizza. You were thinking about her weren’t you?” I just gave him look.
“Ok so I have some questions, is she going to be our new mom, are you still in charge or is she.” He said laughing so I punched him in the shoulder.”Stop it Randall, she means something to all of us. Here I’ll prove it to you. You know you’ve know her for a while right, try to remember the exact first time you met her.” Randall looked down in front of himself trying to focus and then said “Well I bumped into her at school.” “No before that.” I said and then “Really try to remember. Or better yet try to remember when all of us were together before we got our memories back.” Randall continued to focus. “Huh I can’t. I mean I know her and I know she’s been with us for a while but I can’t remember.” He looked up at Hamish and asked “How can that be?” Hamish just sighed and crossed his arms of his chest. “I don’t know, but it seems that all of our memories concerning her were tampered with for some reason. It’s added to the list of things we need to figure out.” Randall’s head snapped up suddenly. “Hey, do you feel that? It’s like something is tugging on me but on the inside?” Hamish tried to scan himself and then dropped his hand to his ribs, he could feel it to. “Where is Eilene? she should be back now from raiding Foley’s office.” I said. We both checked our phones and neither of us had a text or missed call.
Eilene’s pov
I was still sitting on the ground with my back against the wall. Salvador had given me a lot of information to process. Of course nothing too specific and everything was worded very carefully. But what I needed now was to get these chains off my wrists. She seemed to pick up on this and said “Look I would like to take those off of you but I am not entirely sure I can trust you yet.” I huffed. I could feel the skin under my skin burning. “Are you going to kill me?” I asked her. “No, I plan to let you walk out of here so long and you don’t try to kill me or get in my way.” We stared at each other for a moment evaluating one another. “I can’t promise you that. Especially if you put those I care about in harms way. But I can give you my word that I mean you no harm tonight.” She just looked me over for a moment and then shrugged her shoulders “ Alright deal. I am going to place the key to those chains on the table behind me then i’ll leave and in five minutes you can free yourself. Sound fair?” I nodded “We have a deal.” Once she place the key on the table and left I gave her the five minutes. I heard her get into a car and drive a way and then made my way over to the table. True to her word the key was there along with a card. It had her name on it and a message. -You and I are a lot more a like than you think - I went for the key and undid the chains. There were deep burns all the way around and since they were silver chains they would take a while to heal. I had to make my way home and let the guys know What I had found.
