Penny! The last chapter of Control was amazing!!! I think I visibly cringed as soon as I realized what was about to happen but I’m so glad we got to see Marcus stick up for his wife but also for himself. And then the ending!!! 🫠 I am so in love with this version of Marcus and now I’m having all sorts of thoughts about control!Marcus as a father-to-be (one of which I might send in a follow up ask incase you don’t wanna answer cause of spoilers).

Marcus is usually the type of guy who is going to take it on the chin just so everyone will get along. He hasn't stood up to his family much because his usual tactic is "head down nod and smile."

But oof, when they came for his wife.... that strategy was no longer viable!! ;) Marcus might not always stand up for himself, but he sure as shit will stand up for someone he loves. especially this possessive little shit

I know I sat on this for a few days--part of that was to make sure I didn't spoil the surprise for anyone who hadn't read it yet. (The other part was that yesterday I had to physically GO to work.) But AAHHH. FATHER.TO.BE.MARCUS!!!!!!! I got your other ask from this morning, and I'll probably won't answer it until after the next chapter is out, but here's a few things:

So, I'm not finished with the game/story yet, but had to come thank and yell at you about Masquerada, because it has absolutely been worth every penny and then some. Thanks so much for your post about it! Don't know how I missed this gem before, but I love it. Cicero is awesome in his own right, but Kalden is definitely my new bae.

AAHHH yes!! amazing! fantastic!! I’m SO happy, my favorite thing is someone telling me they’ve started playing Masquerada!! Better late than never, imo, and it’s just a really exciting fun time so I’m stoked for you :DAnd YEAH KALDEN IS SO GOOD! He’s the best and gets better, just wait 😄
