Could you explain what you found icky about serena x ash? I cared so little about it that I didnt really pay attention to it or form any opinion, so I'm pretty neutral. You made me curious :)

Here’s the initial reason why I stopped shipping it, here’s another explanation behind how forced it feels to me, and here’s a little character analysis I wrote on Serena and how her crush on Ash ties into that

A lot of it is kinda repetitive but yeah TLDR her crush on Ash feels obsessive and unhealthy, she depends way too much on him and they really don’t have much chemistry between them, the whole entire thing feels SUPER forced especially since it’s so strictly one-sided, and I really think they both deserve better
