Hmmmm.
I have greying hair. I'm 33. My partner is 38 and also has some in his beard and chest hair. Yes, men in their thirties have grey hair. I'm so sorry. But John Price? He's greying, thinning and receding. And you know what? Our aging bodies are still hot as fuck. Get bent.
Yes. This is a subtweet on Tumblr dot com.

An apparently unpopular opinion: disabled people can have and do their hobbies. They deserve to have fun. They deserve to live their lives.
Their inability to do some things (like work, for example) does not mean they should be judged for… idk hanging out with their friends or to going outside. After all, having interests outside of work is often essential to our mental and physical health OUTSIDE of our disability.
And also *you might want to sit down for this* disabled people know what’s disabling for them (unless they people-please or push through due to necessity or survival of some sort). Disabilities don’t have to be visible or persistent to be disabling.
So yeah - my declaration: if an activity you want to do feels good and you’re able to do it, then do it. REGARDLESS OF YOUR DISABILITY WITH OTHER THINGS.

Both Colin and Edwina- in their situations- felt betrayed by someone they love.
Kate lied to Edwina TWICE; once about the Sheffield inheritance and the second time and the second time about having feelings for Anthony. When she called Kate her “half sister”, she felt in that moment.. that not only could she no longer count on Kate to be honest with her but that everything she ever told her was a lie.
Penelope lied to Colin about her being Lady Whistledown. When he accused Penelope of entrapping him, not only did he felt like everything she ever told him was a lie, but more important than that.. he felt as if history was repeating itself (which makes what he said a trauma response)- given what happened with Marina and her planning to trick him into a loveless marriage and to seduce him.. thereby making him believe that he got her pregnant.
Also, the reason why I say that Colin has been villainized for something he said out of anger is because it took some fans TWO YEARS to forgive him for his “I would never dream of courting Penelope Featherington” comment at the end of season 2 (some of those people went so far as to verbally harass Luke over it)!!
Conclusion: Despite them being in very different situations and at different points in their lives, Colin and Edwina had every right to feel as angry as they were even though they were never known to put their anger out on display- which is why them saying what they said out of anger seemed so “out of character”. But when those people make Colin and Edwina out to be the bad guys, they were saying that as if they themselves have never said anything out of anger to someone they love- which is a part of being human.

It will never not be upsetting yet hilarious to me that Eli Shane is 15.
I mean, seriously, this kid spends an entire year, just fighting in Slugterra, he's been betrayed on several occasions, like he straight up let's Twist and Tad in his home, calls them his friends and they stab him in the back.
Is either being compared to his dad, or blamed for things his dad did.
Is probably dealing with the dilemma that his father is a murderer, as we still don't know what exactly happened to Tom Por or if Will Shane actually killed him.
Saw his dad tackle Blakk and the Goon into that Terra portal thing, after having him back for probably less than an hour.
Burpy, his best friend, almost died.
Was under the Goons influence and hurt in friends, probably causing some self-loathing.
Eli Shane is a kid, barley a teenager. He is put into an adults world, to be the symbol of hope, and the figure to rally behind.
Eli Shane is a kid, barley a teenager. He should not have to run head first into danger just to inspire others to fight for what's right.
I get having a figure that can be seen as pillar of strength can rally people to do the impossible, but why does that figure have to be Eli?
Why must it be a Shane?
But of the other foot,
This 15 year old kid is doing what should have been done since his father's absence was noticed.
He makes bad puns, intentionally antagonizes people he knows could crush him, and once tricked Nacho into taking a fake map that had a crude picture of Nacho himself on it.
Eli is such a good boi, it's not funny.
He reprimanded a group of slug hunters then they were looking for the Enigmo Slug.
To Sargeant Slugs face, tells him that his(Eli's) Slugs won't be partaking in the 'training' and he's just there for the pool. To freaking freeload. And yeah, Pronto paid the Club Slug fees already, but it has to sting knowing you have a Shane in your establishment, but there only there because they kinda had no choice and for your waterslide. Like imagine the profits that would bring in having a local celebrity using what you advertised.
Pranks is team in Deadweed in the most hilarious way. Before getting them inadvertently trapped like an idiot.
Being a smug little flopper as his Slugs come crashing in on a humongous elephant mecha, effectively convincing everyone his Slugs know how to drive.
Just the last few minutes of Roboslugs
"You thought we were building a robot to beat yours, in forty-five minutes?!"
[Sounds of Breaking Glass]
"How dumb do you think we are? We were just building a can opener!"
[Hops into Quentins mech, hopefully not getting his hands cut on broken glass]
"And you were cocky enough to let me get close enough to do this!"
[Drops a metric crap load of slugs on the guy with molluscophobia]
Eli Shane is many things, but most importantly, he is a 15 year old boy just trying his best. And when his best isn't enough, his friends are there to back him every step of the way.
I also like to think Eli would like Pikmin.

Okay, but militaristic dictatorships and child soldiers are besties, right?
Like let's be real, any successful militaristic dictatorship gets them young and then sends them off to war. Case and point, the systematic isolation and abuse of so-called "weapons" as seen in the majority of "chosen one" stories. Harry Potter and Naruto.
I'm going to talk about Naruto though because it's almost perfect how they took a nuke, put it in a child, starved the child of love and affection and then told him that if he was good and did what the government said was the right thing, he would be loved. I'm not sure if that was what Kishimoto was going for when he wrote Naruto's storyline, but its actually impressive how well he managed to capture the essence of how a weapon can be successfully programmed to behave a certain way.
Naruto was never given any support in the village and anyone who would have given it to him was blocked because he was a nuke and thus an investment and government property. By telling him the only way for him to be acknowledged and loved was to become Hokage they basically guaranteed his cooperation, can't be Hokage and thus loved if you don't become a ninja, and you can't be a ninja if you leave Konoha.
Does anyone think it's weird how Naruto had an entire other side of his heritage from his mother, an entire village for which he was named for by his mother (Naruto mean Whirlpool) that is never mentioned, never addressed? Despite it being Konoha's sister village that was somehow allowed to be toppled by a combined assault by Kiri and Kumo? How was it never mentioned in school, the chunin vest has Uzushio's symbol on its back! Simple, to make sure Konoha was all Naruto ever knew. To make sure their nuke was loyal and well trained and fully indoctrinated into the propaganda Konoha pushed. bc, personally? I think if Naruto knew he had connections, REAL CONNECTIONS to a fallen village of seals masters who might be related to his mom, he would have started asking some inconvenient questions. And you can't have your nuke asking questions when you point and aim him.
I'll tell you what, it worked, Naruto would do anything for just the sliver of a chance that the people of Konoha would love him, he took the abuse, fought their battles, won them wars all for them to move on like it was always his duty to them to win them wars. And it was, it was always his duty to win them wars, because he was nothing but a weapon to them the second Minato put that fox in him.

I've written it plenty, but let me say it with my full chest after episode 10.
I DON'T LIKE MEW AND CHUEM.
Tumblr media
They ain't shit. They suck. They are the worst. They are annoying.
Even the camera kept cutting Ray out probably to emphasize these two are basically the twins from The Shining.
This is not about the actors. This is fully about these horrible ass characters.
Mew refused to define his relationship with Top regulating Top back to the talking-phase, so when Top slept with Boston, they weren't actually dating. It's splitting hairs, I know. But I don't like Mew, so I'm being petty.
Then he acted like sex was some grand prize that Top had to prove worthy of.
Mew punched Ray in the club just so he could take his revenge on Top later.
He lit the papers on fire knowing that is Top's trauma.
Chuem and Mew are always such jerks to Ray then blamed Ray for Mew being a piece of shit after his breakup with Top.
He got Nick involved in his payback to Boston (like Boeing is doing to him, and I hope Boeing fucks everyone up!), only to get the sex tape and threaten Boston with it.
He told Top he'd give him another chance only to play games the same damn way he did before.
Oh, then Chuem!
She didn't care about Mew's boundaries regarding Top, and is super creepy about Top too.
She slut shames Boston all the time.
She is the only one keeping this project going, honestly, but she is quick to push her group members out the second she is unhappy.
She is the first to throw out that "friends don't treat friends this way" yet is the first one to throw verbal stones.
She lectured Ray as he was being arrested.
Chuem and Mew think they are superior to everyone else.
These might be 20-year old mistakes, but these characters still fucking suck.
I cannot stand them!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let the sluts be sluts without all the damn judgement.

No thoughts just how much Charles loves Edwin whether or not it’s romantic (though it’s likely both) and how much he has dedicated his afterlife to him as his protector and the way he has pushed down his anger and hurt because Edwin just got out of hell and Charles knows he needs someone there for him just as Edwin was there for him in the attic so he protects him, always taking the hits, doing his best to keep him safe because taking hits is what he knows best and has cultivated his afterlife thriving off that notion; so the thought of Edwin finding out about his home life, the belief that if he finds out Charles couldn’t even protect himself against his own father’s anger that it will make him appear weak and unable to do what he’s supposed to be doing and perhaps he isn’t good enough to protect Edwin and what if his anger is just as volatile as his fathers and if he loves Edwin like he thinks he might maybe he’ll hurt him too because Rowland men show love through pain because his mom said that Charles’ father loved her and loved him but it didn’t feel like it but what is Rowland love without bruises and tears and he can’t do that to Edwin, he can’t so he pushes it down and down and down, hiding behind smiles and jokes and his cricket bat because as long as he protects Edwin he knows he’s good enough he knows he could be good; but when Edwin says he’s in love with him he thinks he can’t be, he can’t because Edwin deserves better but he can’t help but be a little giddy because he’s a teenager, an immortal ghost trapped in the body and mind of a 16-year-old so of course he’s happy but he’s also terrified because he can’t just jump into this, he can’t risk hurting Edwin because it will happen eventually he knows it so he pushes the feeling away for the time being, even if it may show up in bits without him realizing because of course he doesn’t because he has always loved Edwin he just didn’t realize it until Edwin put it into words and now he’s going to protect Edwin like he always had and he’s still slightly scared that he’ll fail eventually but for the time being he’s content not have to run away from death any longer and Edwin’s realization and smile at it is the best he’s ever seen. Or something like that.

Martin's headcanon about SL Scar's decent into madness after not dying, stuck in a loop of pressing the success button and getting the task to win...
I want 3L Grian who has a quiet success before killing himself to meet SL Scar who's been stuck in this isolated loop all by himself.
I like the comfort in hurt/comfort, thanks.

I’m making a post, tw: abuse, sa
Every single disingenuous “critique” of episode for that revolves around pretending that Angel was written “liking” his abuse is fucking disgusting. You are not making any commentary about the episode, you are showing how little you know about abuse victims. You also show your COMPLETE lack of media literacy around the subject
Poison is a song about needing your abuser. The way that they have you in their clutches. You know they are bad for you, you want to leave, but you feel like you can’t, you feel their poison taking hold of you.
Poison is about Angel’s struggle with his abuser and how he hurts no matter what he portrays. The reason it’s upbeat with the horrifically sad lyrics is because that’s the facade Angel Plays. He pretends to be the sexy, open, very down to clown porn star because that’s who he’s had to be to please his abuser. He can’t turn it off because if he does in front of Valentino, he’s horrifically hurt.
However, this is a double edged sword. It causes him to not only ruin his relationships with others by testing their boundaries and picking fights with them, but it leads him to self destruct. He can’t keep it up all the time. He openly admits to letting people drug him. He’s self destructing, trying his hardest to ruin himself because he thinks he deserves it and that maybe, just maybe it’ll keep him from being Valentino’s favorite toy.
This is WIDELY relatable to many abuse victims. We suffer socially from our abuse, not just mentally. We can become mean people. We lash out at others. And we can have codependent relationships with our abusers. We miss them. We want to be with them. Not because we LIKE BEING ABUSED BUT BECAUSE WE ARE CURRENTLY VICTIMS OF ABUSE. Abuse targets people who are vulnerable. People who don’t have a social circle, and creates one with their abuser in the middle. Abuse breeds codependency.
I am extremely critical of the Hellaverse. But callous commentary on the SURPRISINGLY NUANCED DEPICTION OF ANGEL’S ABUSE has truly soured me to Vivziepop critical spaces. You’re not “owning” Viv with that shit. Viv already got her season 2 and her paycheck. You’re hurting people who see their experiences with Angel Dust. You’re also telling on yourself that abuse victims can’t confide in you about their less than flashy and fun experiences/symptoms. Just so you know.

i feel like it’s important within the yellowjackets fandom that has pretty much every ship possible, that we recognize the representation we were given — taivan have been extremely important to me as an individual considering this isn’t something we get very often, a black empowered lesbian who is in a relationship with a butch lesbian who are both characterized very well and played by two queer actors.
i’ve seen far too much taivan discourse on my TL recently and it breaks my heart, people are entitled to their own opinions but hating on a canon ship and then continuing to push an agenda about two characters that aren’t canonically interested in each other romantically (maybe even platonically) doesn’t sit very well with me and the other people i have curated this post with. it’s a very rare circumstance that this representation is brought to the light with a mainstream show and we should as a fandom collectively respect and view these two characters differently. i hope with season 3 they touch on their relationship more because representation goes such a long way even if it is only two characters.

Song Taewon is an amazing character. But I kind of hate him. I mean, I get where his actions come from. Like, in the end it's for the safety of Yoojin. I hated how obsessively protective Yoohyun was of Yoojin. But it mellowed down somehow, and ultimately, he learns how to be protective without having to think if chaining up his brother. And Yoojin was also able to convince him to change his ways. But this man, Song Taewon. I understand how he is afraid of himself and hates himself amd think he's a monster and all, and I do feel for him. I kind of understand him too, like where it's all coming from. But like, it's for your own good so let me just choke you so that you know how dangerous S classes can be, and by giving you this trauma, you'll stay away from them. I understand there's a power imbalance between Yoojin and Yoohyun, and the S class brother can easily abuse the frail one. Taewon's right on that part. But his actions somehow make me think that he wants Yoojin to stay away and be afraid of his younger brother. Like, think about Yoojin's wishes here? Man knows how dangerous it is and he still chose to take the risk, because he knows it's worth it. And it's not like he was fairing any good without Yoohyun anyway. Drinking and smoking away, depression amd stuff (Eventhough it was mostly because of Yoohyun's later actions)
Song Taewon's like, lemme reduce the rank of your skill and proceeds to reduce the one skill that keeps him mentally sane? Like dude, do you know how many nightmares and trauma that fear resistance helps to keep at bay? I know he doesn't know it. But still. He did it so that Yoojin wouldn't come near the S classes and also so that the S classes won't salivate over his doubling skill. He felt the power and exhilaration and he liked it, it was addictive and he got afraid of it because it's hard to control his desire. But dude, it's Yoojin's own skill and he decides what to do with it. I understand if he was going around and murdering everybody or something. But he's literally what? Helping so that dungeon raids become easier and the society could be more at ease? Uprooting the association's corrupt parts? He's using his skills as he pleases without negatively affecting the world. And like, you come and do this sh*t? Who is he to decide this? For Yoojin's protection? Well congrats man, you just made his life more miserable. More nightmares, more trauma and anxiety. Yet he continues to do what he does, this time struggling even more. As if what he faced isn't already enough. You use your skill on another guy for his 'protection' but he cleary doesn't want you to, and you forced it on him. Like, dipsh*t, where's a person's freedom of choice here? What if the skill he deranked was one that reduces the pain he feels and what if Yoojin had some kind of chronic pain? Well, your decision to 'protect' him will cause him to go through hell! Isn't he a guy with self control? Can't he think?! I hated this about him.
But I do understand where he comes from. Doesn't make me hate him any less. It might've been the paranoia or something. And he might've thought it to be the best course of action.
But dude, if I had a dream of being a model, and my dad goes and says it's dangerous for you and there will be creepy people staring at you so you can't be one and forcefully make me chose another path, saying it's for my own protection, am I supposed to feel good? What about what I want to do? My freedom of choice? You can't just force me to do something I don't want to. It's not like I'm causing the society any harm by pursuing my dreams? (Just an example)
Song Taewon's a civil servant, he has duties and a very important role in the stability if the society. I understand. I also understand the inner turmoil he faces. But I hate him.
His dynamic with Yoojin and Sung Hyunjae is quite amusing though. I'm not shipping the three of them, I will never. But it is cute, like I'm introverted and unworthy of love, I'm a monster and the other two go aigoo, who's my little monster, my cuddly bug, you're so sweet, so big and intimidating but so cute. It's funny.
But I hate him to guts. Just my opinion though. I think his character is intresting and a little funny, but that's it.

A little rant. cc3 spoilers
Idk one side guessed "dusk court even right to the name, tt and gwydion connection, the second daughters return to acotar, gwydion and tt power together, the cauldron being wrong...and many more important plot points
And the other side thought...cassian's orgasm is connected to their ship, a pegasus toys color was important, audiobook narrator stopping when there were no elipsis was important, the count of the mentions in a book was important, that merrill and gwen was going to do searchy search for bryce, there were going to be sleepovers in crossover...
But somehow we are called crazy. IDK MAN. SOMETHING DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT HERE.

I have noticed recently that every time I discover a subculture (punk, system, queer, disabled, etc) there is a fun learning period and then I am SUDDENLY smacked in the face with exclusivity discourse!!
Queer people will talk about transmasc-only spaces, or lesbian-only spaces, or any other sub-sect of queerness, individualized into it's own Club that no one else is allowed into
Disabled people do this too, excluding other kinds of disabled people, amputees will want amputee only spaces, chronically ill folk want their own spaces, and so on
This happens with many systems/plural folk, who try to seperate endogenics from traumagenics. This happens with punks, attempting to exclude such-and-such subculture from "being punk" and on and on and on
The point is: everyone seems to be scrambling to find and/or make their own exclusive club that they can enjoy, with only "their" people, and I HATE this!! It isolates Others- people who are questioning, closeted, or simply don't fit into a category, a person I used to be. A person we all used to be. We cannot live by cutting eachother off. We cannot thrive by closing everyone else out. We WERE Other, these communities were MADE to embrace Others, rejected folk, damaged folk, and invisible folk. The point of being Queer, of being Punk, of being part of a community, is to LOVE
You can't love someone that you push away
You can't grow if you're not given a chance
Our beloved communities will die if we never allow anyone into them who doesn't fit Perfect Criteria, and none of us want that
Just think about it and next time someone Weird or Uncomfortable shows up, I'd be grateful if you'd remember my words, even if you're don't agree with them for any reason
thanks for your time, I wish you the best/gen

I will say this once to all the toxic b*tches on the internet (they know exactly who they are). Hell, I’ll shout it from the fucking rooftops if I must. I hope all the so-called “fans” online see this.. and have it burned into their speck of dust sized brains.
Luke is not destroying his career… YOU are- by spreading lies about him and harassing him online. You think there aren’t talent agencies that see all this bullshit?! I’m sure there are, but that’s beside the point. You claim that you’re “holding him accountable for bad behavior” (of which is nonexistent), yet in reality.. you’re just spreading lies because you apparently don’t have lives outside of the Bridgerton fandom or even social media in general. The call is clearly coming from inside the house- but I digress.
Some of y’all literally have a rock for a skull.. and it shows. Calling and messaging the hotel he stayed at because you wanted to know who he was with. What the Hell is wrong with you people?! Y’all literally need to be punched right in the mouth!!
Tumblr media
What pisses me off the most is that y’all are old enough to know better. You know what you’re doing is wrong- you just don’t care.
I just hope and pray to God that Luke knows that not every fan in the Bridgerton fandom is like that. I hope he knows that some fans actually RESPECT him enough to not overstep boundaries or overanalyze everything he posts- that some fans in the fandom want him to be happy regardless of who he’s with.

How rich is the Shane Gang?
In the early episodes it's implied they don't have much, and actively save up to buy equipment.
Like Pronto admitted to 'borrowing' money from the others in the Club Slug episode, and Eli expressed his hesitance in trading slugs for equipment when they were short of money.
And then, like I wana say about six to seven months later when the whole thing with Dana stealing from Blakk and the Gentleman being set after her, Eli offers the Gentleman dubbled what Blakk payed for their plan to fake Dana's work.
Double What Dr. Blakk, the owner of a successful business and Railway that makes presumably millions not including the endorsements of Slugterras richest, was willing to pay.
Double
And again
Because the show takes place in a years time, Eli basically went from a broke teen hero, to rich enough to pay off one of the top assassins in the Caverns, in like 12 months.
Keep in mind, while Eli knows there are stashes hidden all around Slugterra filled with things he might need one day(not necessarily money) he has no idea where like 98% of them are.
And while sure, there is clearly stuff the gang gets up to in their off time, and going on adventures to find these Shane Cashes is plausible, how much are we willing to bet they found a cash with a comical amount of money?
Like I have no problem believing the gang have not only their personal savings, but a group fund for communal stuff/supplies. Or that, ever now and then, they get paid for some of the missions they do.
But it's been like, at least six months or so leading up the whole thing with the Gentleman, and unless Blakk was paying him the flattest of fees, how is it possible for Eli to pay double.
I would imagine that an assassin's fees aren't cheap either.
All I'm saying is that someone on the team won the lottery, got lucky chash hunting for Shane deposits, or something because dear god I have questions about their financial situation.
And no, Pronto technically being a King don't mean shit, it's been made pretty clear, for all his ego, Pronto isn't 100% cool with being King, and he is not smart with his money seeing as how he falls for scams.
Edit Nov/20/24: my brain is running on fumes- the 'double the pay' line is form a different ep but my bullshit about Eli being able to double any sort of pay at all still stands.
