Hey Bioware, Question for you...
Remember when you were doing those interviews about why we only have three decisions for our world state??? And you said:
“For us, the core philosophy was that we want you to make choices that matter; choices that we can actually reflect. “Part of going to northern Thedas is that a lot of stuff that matters tremendously if you’re in Ferelden and Orlais doesn’t matter as much in Tevinter. A great example is that The Divine is hugely important if you’re Adrastian in the south of Thedas, but they have their own Divine up in Minrathous. We really wanted to focus on decisions we knew would matter; that we knew we could do something interesting with.”
Remember that??? Or how about the "We don't want to invalidate any canon and also not just do little one liners or tidbits that are meaningless" spiel? Remember that???
Then please explain this:
youtube
(video/short credit goes to DanaDuchy on youtube, the short shows the one of very few reference to a Dorian romance within the game)
Why then is a Dorian romance given 3 throwaway lines???? Like you are joking right? Solas gets a fucking monologue about his lover and an ending and not only did you do Dorian dirty by making him bland as hell, but his romance is given three missable lines of dialogue. Dorian and the Inquisitor don't really need to even be in the game if this is how you are going to treat them. And I'm fairly certain the other romances that don't appear are given even worse treatment. I sincerely hope there's something else that's just being missed because...
Come the fuck on guys. If you are going to lie, do it better.
Just come out and say this is your reboot. That the only reason why we got to create our Inquisitor is for the Solas-mancers, because that's your canon.
