My Favorite Games of 2022 and Most Anticipated for 2023
I had been asked if I considered doing this and well, considering we’re already over a week into January, clearly not. I actually really struggle with picking favorites so this definitely isn’t really a “My most favorite games” list so much as a “I had a really good time playing this game” or in the case of anticipated, are ones I either heard about or played the Demo for in 2022 (and the game…

Tumblr media
There's Always a Madman: Fight or Flight spy thriller game aims at Linux via Steam Deck with Windows PC. The outcome of the diligent endeavors put forth by the talented developer, Sunny Demeanor, is enticing. Due to arrive on Steam in 2024. Introducing a new franchise called "There's Always a Madman," created by the same person who made the popular title "A Weekend in Puzzleburg." This series is all about being a secret agent in a thrilling spy adventure. The first release, called "Fight or Flight," is due to release in Q1 2024. In There's Always a Madman: Fight or Flight, you play a secret agent, Franklin Benjamin. He's a smooth and skilled agent who faces incredible tests to save the world. You get to drive fast cars, charm beautiful women, and do whatever it takes to save the day. It's a tough job, but you're the best agent they have. In this first release, a crazy villain is threatening the world with advanced satellite technology. These satellites can cause massive destruction anywhere and even destroy other satellites. It's up to you to find out who this madman is and bring him to justice. Maybe even get rid of him completely. But what about native support?
I expect that the Windows PC version will work well with Linux through Steam's Proton compatibility layer. And I expect that There's Always a Madman: Fight or Flight will play well on the Steam Deck.
The reply to the Sunny Demeanor email confirms that Proton support will be available (Unity 3D). This decision is due to the positive performance of "A Weekend in Puzzleburg" on Steam Deck. While a Linux build is not currently available, it will be reconsidered in the future, most likely depending on sales.

You won't be alone on this mission. Since you'll have a partner named Virginia, who has experience in the field. Also a tech whiz, Hatcher. But remember, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders alone. This is a single-player game, and you're the star agent. There's Always a Madman: Fight or Flight is text-based, making it more like a spy novel. You get to decide what actions to take and what things to say. Even though it's text-based, the audio creates a great setting. The music changes based on whether you're in a safe location or facing danger. You can play it all with just a mouse. You choose the actions or dialogues you want to use in various situations. Being a secret agent can be tough, but playing There's Always a Madman: Fight or Flight is simple. To give you an idea of what to expect, it is similar to other titles like "GoldenEye 007," "Mission: Impossible," "Hitman," and "Splinter Cell." It also takes inspiration from movies and TV shows like James Bond, "Get Smart," "Austin Powers," and "Archer." These sources provide thrilling spy adventures that you'll get to experience in the game. As for Linux support, well, it's going to be Proton only. Stating, "I hope that the Windows PC version will work well with Linux through Steam's Proton compatibility layer. This is how the Steam Deck functions, and I expect that A Weekend in Puzzleburg will play well on the Steam Deck." While I'm far more committed to Linux native support, there is a free demo. Giving interested players a chance to try out A Weekend in Puzzleburg on Steam now. Also due to be apart of the upcoming Steam Next Fest running from October 3rd - 10th. The release date of February 17, 2023 is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. Plus its also the Friday before Presidents’ Day, making it the start of a holiday weekend in the US. Also, the demo of A Weekend in Puzzleburg has full controller support. Or you can play the game with a keyboard and mouse.
