A Stylish Shield: My Experience with the Defense Pendant
Living in today's tech-driven world, we're constantly bombarded with electromagnetic fields (EMFs) from our phones, laptops, and Wi-Fi routers. While the science on the long-term health effects is still evolving, I wanted to take a proactive approach to potentially reduce my exposure. That's where the Defense Pendant came in. This stylish necklace offers a discreet and fashionable way to address my EMF concerns.
Tumblr media
Protection with a Touch of Style
The Defense Pendant isn't your typical bulky EMF protection device. It's a sleek and modern necklace that complements any outfit. Here's what initially appealed to me:
Fashionable Design: I wanted an EMF protection solution that wouldn't look out of place in my everyday wardrobe. The Defense Pendant comes in various stylish designs, allowing me to choose one that complements my personal style. It feels more like a piece of jewelry than a protective device.
Lightweight and Comfortable: The pendant is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear all day long. I often forget I even have it on, which is exactly what I was looking for in an everyday protection solution.
Conversation Starter: The unique design of the pendant often sparks conversations with friends and colleagues about EMF exposure. This allows me to share information and raise awareness about this growing concern.
Peace of Mind in a Stylish Package
Since incorporating the Defense Pendant into my daily routine, I've experienced a newfound sense of peace of mind. Here's why:
Reduced Anxiety: Knowing I'm taking a proactive step towards mitigating potential EMF exposure has lessened my anxiety about the invisible waves surrounding us. This allows me to focus on more important things.
Complements My Wellness Routine: The Defense Pendant fits perfectly with my overall approach to well-being. It joins other healthy habits like regular exercise and a balanced diet in my quest for a holistic lifestyle.
A Subtle Reminder: The constant presence of the pendant serves as a subtle reminder to be mindful of my tech usage and take breaks throughout the day.
A Valuable Addition to Your Wellness Arsenal
It's important to remember that the effectiveness of EMF protection devices can vary. The Defense Pendant offers a layer of protection and peace of mind, but it shouldn't be seen as a replacement for a healthy lifestyle.
A Stylish Step Towards a Balanced Approach If you're concerned about EMF exposure and are looking for a stylish and comfortable way to potentially mitigate its effects, the Defense Pendant is a great option to consider. It's a valuable addition to your wellness routine, offering peace of mind and complementing your existing healthy habits. Remember, while the science is still evolving, taking a proactive approach to your well-being is always a wise decision. The Defense Pendant can be a stylish first step on that path.

A Shield on My Wrist: My Experience with the EMF Defense Bracelet
In today's tech-driven world, we're constantly bombarded by electromagnetic fields (EMFs) emitted from our devices. While the science on the long-term health effects of EMF exposure is still evolving, I felt a growing concern and a desire for a proactive approach. That's when I discovered the EMF Defense Bracelet.
Tumblr media
Stylish Design Meets Purposeful Protection
The first thing that appealed to me about the Defense Bracelet was its design. It wasn't bulky or ostentatious, but rather a sleek and stylish bracelet that complemented any outfit. It came in various designs, allowing me to choose one that suited my taste. This was important because I wanted an EMF protection solution that I wouldn't hesitate to wear every day.
Potential for Peace of Mind and Reduced Headaches
The bracelet claims to absorb and neutralize the harmful effects of EMF radiation, potentially reducing headaches and fatigue often associated with prolonged exposure. While I can't definitively say it eliminates all EMF effects, I have noticed a decrease in the occasional headaches I used to experience, particularly when using my phone for extended periods. This has provided me with a greater sense of peace of mind while using technology throughout the day.
Improved Sleep Quality and Increased Energy
Since wearing the Defense Bracelet, I've also noticed an improvement in my sleep quality. I tend to fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more refreshed. Whether this is directly linked to the bracelet or simply a result of a more mindful approach to tech use before bed, I can't be certain. However, the cumulative effect has been a noticeable increase in my overall energy levels throughout the day.
A Discreet and Comfortable Solution
The Defense Bracelet offers a discreet and comfortable approach to EMF protection. The lightweight design allows me to wear it all day without any irritation or discomfort. Additionally, the bracelet comes with a variety of adjustable bands, ensuring a perfect fit for any wrist size.
A Valuable Addition to My Daily Routine
Overall, the EMF Defense Bracelet has become a valuable addition to my daily routine. It combines a stylish design with the potential for improved well-being. While the science on EMF protection is still evolving, the subjective improvements I've experienced in sleep quality, energy levels, and reduced headaches make it a worthwhile addition to my tech-wielding lifestyle. It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, but for me, the Defense Bracelet has been a positive step towards a more mindful and potentially healthier relationship with technology.

Hii! I'm a big fan. I don't know if requests are opened or not but can I request for the 14th member of seventeen who is the maknae. Can you make one where seventeen reacts when y/n is uncomfortable as hell by a short dress the stylist gave her at an awards show. Maybe they will give her their blazers or do something? Can you pleaseeee make it
Black Dress | Seventeen x 14thMember | fluff
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/N adjusted her bracelet, taking a deep breath before stepping out of the dressing room. She hesitated for a second, her hands gripping the hem of the dress that felt far too short for her comfort. The outfit—a tight, black strapless dress that hugged her figure—was undeniably stylish, but it left her feeling exposed. Her collarbones and shoulders were fully visible, and the length barely reached mid-thigh.
As soon as she stepped out, the lively conversation among the members died down. The air shifted, their eyes drawn to her outfit. Mingyu, who had been mid-laugh, stopped abruptly, his eyebrows knitting together. Jeonghan’s usual mischievous smirk was replaced with a skeptical frown. Seungcheol, always protective, folded his arms and took a step forward.
“Y/N…” Joshua was the first to speak, his voice gentle but laced with concern. “Isn’t your dress a bit too short?”
Y/N forced a smile, though her hands continued to fidget with the fabric. “The stylists said I have to wear it.”
A chorus of disapproving noises erupted from the group.
“They said you have to wear it?” Woozi repeated, his eyebrows raising in disbelief.
“That’s ridiculous.” Wonwoo’s voice was calm, but the way he clenched his jaw gave away his displeasure.
Seungkwan, ever expressive, made a face. “Do they not know you hate dresses like this?”
During the awards show, Y/N started to feel increasingly uncomfortable. She noticed lingering stares from the audience, her skin prickling under their gazes. She shifted in her seat, wrapping her arms around herself in an attempt to feel less exposed.
The members noticed her discomfort immediately. Seungcheol’s sharp eyes scanned the crowd and caught sight of a male idol staring at Y/N. His expression darkened, and without a second thought, he took off his blazer and draped it over her shoulders.
Y/N looked up at him in surprise, but he only gave her a small reassuring nod. “You looked cold,” he murmured, though they both knew that wasn’t the real reason.
Another member, Wonwoo, noticing what had just happened, started glancing around the venue. His gaze landed on another table where a folded blanket lay unused. Without hesitation, he stood up, made his way over, and returned with the blanket. He gently laid it over Y/N’s legs, shielding her from any further unwelcome attention.
As the night progressed, the members remained vigilant. They exchanged glances, silently communicating their protectiveness over their youngest member. Y/N could feel their presence surrounding her, grounding her amidst the overwhelming atmosphere of the event.
When the awards show finally ended, the group prepared to leave. The moment they stepped outside, the bright flashes of paparazzi cameras greeted them. The members instinctively closed ranks around Y/N, shielding her from prying eyes.
As they reached the van, Hoshi positioned himself right behind Y/N, sensing the risk of an unfortunate wardrobe mishap with all the flashing cameras. Without a second thought, he pulled off his blazer and held it in front of her, acting as a barrier so that no invasive pictures could be taken while she climbed into the vehicle.
Y/N, touched by the gesture, turned to look at him. “Thank you,” she whispered.
Hoshi simply gave her a reassuring smile. “Always.”
With her members surrounding her protectively, Y/N finally felt safe, knowing that no matter what, Seventeen would always have her back.

'I look in the mirror'

We wrote with two guitars, John and I. And, as I’ve mentioned previously, the joy of that was that I was left-handed while he was right handed, so I was looking in a mirror and he was looking in a mirror. We would always tune up, have a ciggie, drink a cup of tea, start playing some stuff, look for an idea. Normally, one or the other of us would arrive with a fragment of a song. ‘Please Please Me’ was a John idea. John liked the double meaning of ‘please’. Yeah, ‘please’ is, you know, pretty please. ‘Please have intercourse with me. So, pretty please, have intercourse with me, I beg you to have intercourse with me.’ He liked that, and I liked that he liked that. This was the kind of thing we’d see in each other, the kind of thing in which we were matched up. We were in sync.
(Paul McCartney, about Please Please Me in The Lyrics, 2021)

A lot of what we had going for us was that we were both good at noticing the stuff that just pops up, and grabbing it. And the other thing is that John and I had each other. If he was sort of stuck for a line, I could finish it. If I was stuck for somewhere to go, he could make a suggestion. We could suggest the way out of the maze to each other, which was a very handy thing to have. We inspired each other.

When John and I met, the first year of our friendship was spent talking about these cover versions, the records we loved, and then playing them again and again. As we got to know each other, we practised these various covers until one day the conversation went, ‘You know, I’ve written one or two songs.’ And he said, ‘Yeah, so have I.’ That gave us something in common that was itself wholly uncommon. I went to a school of a thousand boys and I’d never met anyone who said he’d written a song. Mine were just in my head. So were John’s. We took each other by surprise. And then the logical extension was, ‘Well, maybe we could write one together.’ So that’s how we started. And we became versions of each other.

Q: "Can I ask you about Lewis Carroll?" A: "Oh, Lewis Carroll. I always admit to that because I love 'Alice In Wonderland' and 'Alice Through The Looking Glass.' But I didn't even know he'd written anything else. I was that ignorant. I just happened to get those for birthday presents as a child and liked them. And I usually read those two about once a year, because I still like them."

I think of the imagined world of Lewis Carroll [Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There] that John and I both loved so much.
(Paul McCartney, about I’ll Get You in The Lyrics, 2021)
We’d been together so much that if you had a question, we would both pretty much come up with the same answer. [about their hitchhike to Spain by way of Paris] <…> It’s a bit crude, but it’s fair to say that, in general, I’d had a good life and John hadn’t. His life had been tougher, and he had to develop a harder shell than I did. He was quite a cynical guy but, as they say, with a heart of gold. A big softy, but his shield was hard. So that was very good for the two of us. Opposites attract. I could calm him down, and he could fire me up. We could see things in each other that the other needed to be complete.
(Paul McCartney about Ticket To Ride in The Lyrics, 2021)

Sometimes I look in the mirror Is nobody there? But I just keep on staring and staring No Can it be? Can it be? Can it be? And if I look in the mirror And nobody´s there But I just keep on staring, and staring No Is it me? Is it me? Is it me?

𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐊 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘
One evening, a familiar neighbour approaches you and requests a favour, even though it's late. You willingly assist him and he doesn't let you leave without generously rewarding you for your helpfulness.

As you settle into your seat, you feel your eyelids growing heavy from the gentle sway. It's a quiet Sunday, with only a few souls venturing through. It seems like the majority of the neighbours have chosen to stay home and take a break today.
You found some satisfaction in your job, despite your preference for being at home on a Sunday.
At least you're earning a paycheck for your efforts to do nothing.
Just like magic, the elevator doors glide open, as if anticipating your thoughts. You awaken, your gaze drawn to the window shielding your office. Anastacha glances in your direction, offering a brief wave and a smile before gracefully heading towards the exit.
You reciprocate the gesture, ensuring there are no witnesses nearby.
Before slipping on your headphones, you steal a quick glance at the clock on the wall, hoping to see the hand inching closer to ten, but it's barely making its way to eight.
Once again, as if following a precise rhythm, your tired eyes gently close.
Until the sound of forceful pounding against the glass abruptly jolts them awake. You find yourself on the edge of your seat, suddenly snapping upright in a state of sheer panic.
You abruptly lose track of your surroundings, momentarily transported from your peaceful bed to an unfamiliar place.
You find yourself sinking into the uncomfortable chair, feeling the strain in your back as you gaze out through the transparent barrier that separates you from the outside world. You can't help but feel a rush of surprise as you lay your eyes on the towering figure before you, his gentle smile adding a touch of warmth to the scene.
"Long shift?" He asks, his head slightly tilted. His gentle, deep brown eyes fixate on you, capturing a flicker of delight in your astonished expression.
"Francis," you whisper, your voice trembling with a mix of anticipation and nervousness. You remove the headphones from your ears and sit up straight in your chair.
As per his usual attire, he wears a pristine white shirt and sleek black trousers, complemented by a stylish black bow tie. With his trademark white hat perched atop his tousled brown silk hair, it's clear that he's having a particularly dishevelled day.
“Did I startle you?” He asks, his voice carrying a sense of innocence as he gently removes his hat from his head.
You tear your eyes away from his, only to steal a quick glance at the clock, hoping to catch any sign of time passing. You find it shocking that what seemed like an eternity actually lasted a mere half an hour. "Well, I never expected anyone to approach me," you murmur softly.
"My apologies, (y/n)," he says with a playful laugh, “but I need you to get into my apartment.”
As you regain consciousness, a wave of disorientation washes over you. You gaze at him with a bewildered expression, desperately trying to comprehend his words. Suddenly, he utters, "My keys, (y/n). You have my keys, just like you do every day.”
Your cheeks flush as a wave of embarrassment washes over you, all while he stares at you with a gentle smile, almost bordering on a smirk. “Sorry, it’s been a long night.” You casually reach over and take his house keys from the hook.
“I guess I’m not the only forgetful one here,” he chuckles, clutching the keys to his truck in his hand.
During your week of working here, you formed a pact with Francis. Because of his tendency to forget, he would often misplace one of his keys and ask for a spare. In order to avoid this recurring issue, you both decided to make an arrangement where his keys would be kept downstairs at your desk.
As he inches towards the glass, a sense of confusion washes over you until he finally says, “I have another favour I need you to do for me.”
“Which is?” You ask, carefully examining his features. You trace the contours of his nose, gradually becoming absorbed in your own thoughts—lewd thoughts.
You find yourself unable to tear your eyes away from him as he talks.
The gaze in his almond-shaped eyes carries a captivating yet mysterious allure.
Every time he passes by, his demeanour seems gloomy, but a flicker of joy illuminates his eyes when he catches a glimpse of you. However, that happiness quickly dissipates as his smile vanishes.
You can't help but imagine the intense gaze and the heated encounter as he bends you over your desk and fucks you senseless.
Your mind is swirling with questions like, What noise does he make? Is he loud? Would he fuck you good? Is it big?
It has to be big.
There is a mysterious presence about him that eludes comprehension, yet it holds you captivated.
“So, can I?” He asks, jolting you back to reality as you realise you've completely zoned out and missed his entire conversation.
You find yourself shaking your head in disbelief, struggling to process his words. However, your mind becomes overwhelmed with a flurry of unanswered questions. “I’m sorry, could you repeat that for me?”
“I asked if I could place a few of my milk trays in your office as I unload them from my truck? It’s far colder there than it is out here,” he asks, causing your eyes to cautiously shift between his face and the office floor, contemplating if they would even fit.
“It’s just so that I don’t have to keep going to my truck all the way to the third floor.” He includes this detail in an effort to convince.
You're still apprehensive because it's against the rules to allow residents into the office, even for a brief period of time. “I don’t think I can let you in here, Francis.” You admit, a hint of guilt creeps into your expression.
"Come on," he pleads, his head tilting and his hands clasping together in a prayer-like gesture. “Please, it will only be for a few minutes, (y/n).”
His voice trembles and his eyes become gentle, almost melting you with their intensity.
"It's late, and this secret can stay between us," he pleads, his voice filled with desperation. “I promise I’ll reward you for being good to me, (y/n).” It’s almost as if the use of him saying your name was a kryptonite to you.
Every atom of your being trembles as your name escapes out of his mouths, sending shivers down your spine.
“Fine,” you reluctantly concede, succumbing to his pleading stare. “Just be quick.”
In a matter of moments, he effortlessly reveals a sly grin, his expression as stoic as ever, as he casually lowers his hands by his side. "You’re the best,” he exclaims while placing his hat back on his head and stepping back outside.
You cautiously lean back in your chair, then rise to your feet and unlock the office door. Before proceeding, you cautiously survey your surroundings, ensuring that no prying eyes are present.
The last thing you desire is to attract unwanted attention and risk being reported for violating any regulations.
As you gently nudge the door, you lean against it, ensuring it stays ajar, eagerly anticipating Francis swift return from his truck. As time passes, you observe him effortlessly using his back to swing open the door of the building. He then pivots and starts making his way towards you.
You watch as he carefully balances two crates, one on top of the other, brimming with delicate glass milk bottles. You watch as he effortlessly carries the heavy crates into the office, his white shirt rolled up to reveal his strong forearms adorned with prominent veins.
You can't help but have your attention fixated on him, like an annoying, persistent fly.
"I only have two more to carry," he says, walking past you once more before vanishing outside.
You eagerly anticipate his return, and when he finally enters the building, he is drenched from the rain. You can't help but notice how his shirt is nearly transparent, allowing a glimpse of his skin underneath.
As raindrops trickle down his face, they leave a trail of glistening droplets in their wake.
As he enters the office with the two crates, you quietly trail behind him, allowing the door to gently shut behind you. You watch as he carefully places the crates on top of each other, his gaze sweeping across the office before he straightens up.
You watch as Francis takes off his hat, his face filled with a sense of relief. I can help you carry these up to your apartment, however, in order to do so, I'll need the key to the truck," you mention, extending your hand towards him.
You find yourself captivated by his stare as he gently places the keys in your open hand. As you casually swap the truck key for the flat key, his gaze remains fixated on you.
As you turn around to face him, you find yourself taken aback as you come face to face with him, your eyes widening in surprise at his close proximity.
His towering presence looms above you, his hand poised near the switch that will lower the shutter. You find yourself struggling to control your breathing, as if your breath has been captured by an unseen force.
“Did you think I forgot about your reward?” His voice says, sending shivers down your spine while also captivating your senses.
Without uttering a single sound, he proceeds to push the switch, causing the shutters to gradually descend, leaving only you and him in the office.
"I didn't think you were serious," you mutter, struggling to articulate your thoughts.
As he takes the keys from your grasp, his touch is tender as he delicately cradles your chin with his other hand. You find yourself instinctively retreating as he moves closer, your back pressing against the edge of your desk. Good girls deserve to be rewarded, (y/n).”
“And you’re a good girl for helping me, aren’t you, (y/n)?” He asks, gently caressing your lips with his thumb.
You fix your eyes on him, a gaze brimming with intense desire. You find yourself completely immobilised and unable to utter a single word, ensnared in a captivating spell cast by his presence.
You want him to tear your clothes off and fuck you savagely as if you were animals.
In the blink of an eye, his tender caress transforms into something forceful. You watch as his hand swiftly clamps around your jaw, his eyes filled with intensity. "Say it," he demands, his voice filled with authority.
In any other circumstance, fear might consume you, but instead, a surge of pleasure courses through your body, intensifying the throbbing sensation between your legs.
You swallow nervously before quietly admitting, "I am."
"Good," he murmurs, loosening his hold on your jaw as he draws you closer to him. Out of nowhere, he surprises you by gently placing his lips against yours, leaving you completely stunned.
You feel the warmth of his body as your hands instinctively glide up his neck, drawn to his touch. You can't help but be drawn to his kisses, even though they're sloppy.
They are filled with a raw and intense passion that ignites something deep within you. You feel a gentle bite on your bottom lip, and a soft moan emerges from your throat as he takes the chance to slide his tongue through.
You can sense the heat coursing through your veins, which is matched only by the rapid thumping of your heart.
As he shifts back, a brief strand of saliva lingers between you both, only to be swiftly followed by another passionate kiss. You find yourself captivated by the gentle gaze in his eyes as he slowly moves his lips from yours to the tender skin of your neck.
You feel a soft nibble on your neck, followed by a gentle whisper in your ear, “Sit on the desk.”
You find yourself completely mesmerised by his every word, unable to resist his intriguing presence. You obediently follow the directions, concealing any signs of bewilderment. You settle yourself on the desk, feeling a slight breeze as your skirt lifts slightly.
You reach out to mend it, but he abruptly halts your movement. His hands gently lift yours away from your thighs, finding their place on either side of you.
You watch as he gracefully lowers himself to the ground, effortlessly sinking to his knees right in front of you.
You find yourself at a loss for words as you experience the sensation of his hands enveloping your thighs, gently guiding you closer to the edge of the desk.
You feel the gentle touch of his lips against the sensitive skin of your thighs, eliciting a soft gasp as you tilt your head back in response.
You feel a gentle tug on your thong, as it gracefully slides down your leg and is set aside.
You adjust your skirt higher, feeling a sudden warmth on your cheeks as you become aware of your vulnerability.
You're captivated by the intensity of his eyes, lost in the moment as he delicately positions your legs over his shoulder, drawing you nearer without disrupting the desk.
You observe him with anticipation and a heightened sense of desire as he approaches your cunt. You find yourself biting your lip, a soft whimper escaping your lips as his warm tongue playfully dances around your clit, sending waves of teasing pleasure through your body.
The tip of his tongue delicately explores and teases your pussy.
Unexpectedly, he inserts two fingers into your wet hole, eliciting a chorus of pleasure-filled sounds from your lips.
You slowly glide your hand through his soft, lustrous brown hair, then firmly grasp it as he skillfully moves his fingers in and out of you, simultaneously using his tongue to pleasure your most sensitive spot.
You are consumed by an overwhelming surge of tension, which sends waves of pleasure cascading through your entire being. "Oh fuck," you gasp, your voice filled with desire, as you tightly grip his hair.
You can feel the intensity building as his tongue quickens its pace, sending waves of tension through your body. Just as the knot of anticipation reaches its peak, he eases off, gradually slowing down.
You feel a rush of pleasure as his fingers move in and out of you, perfectly synchronised with the skillful movements of his tongue. It's as if he knows exactly how to bring you to the brink of ecstasy.
As if to intensify the sensation, he adds a third finger into your dripping pussy, causing you to cry out, "Francis, please!" His tongue quickens its pace once more, heightening the pleasure even more.
You sense your proximity drawing near. You can feel the heat building up inside you, your breath quickening and your toes curling in pleasure as he expertly stimulates you with his slender fingers. "I'm getting close," You struggle to utter the three simple words, your voice trembling with emotion.
Out of nowhere, he abruptly withdraws his mouth from you, yet his fingers remain inside, delving deeper and deeper.
You're hooked by the intense stare he directs towards you, his eyes filled with a mysterious allure. A blend of your fluids and his spit moistens his mouth as he slowly smirks at you.

I've thought of a good way to characterize duelling styles.
Take Dumbledore and Voldemort. When I think of their style, I think of the movie, The Revenge of the Sith, and the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan. It's incredibly stylish and intense. Both fighters are the best and it really comes down to who makes the first mistake.
That's how I think of Dumbledore and Voldemort. Their duel in OOTP was the most bombastic and entertaining in the whole series. They were duelling as how you'd expect two wizards of equal skill to duel.
With Harry, I think of the scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark where Indy shoots the swordfighter and walks off.
Harry's duelling style is quick, dirty and pragmatic. Sure, it may be boring, but it's damn effective. Why waste time and risk your life with all these fancy spells when a simple disarming charm renders 99% of wizards completely harmless.
Harry's not fighting as a wizard, he's fighting as a survivor.
Harry's definitely the most pragmatic dueller out of these three. And it makes sense. Harry didn't have the luxury of studying dueling and magic at his leisure to enjoy just the magic of it the way Dumbledore and Voldemort did. He doesn't have the arrogance of Dumbledore and Voldemort, so he doesn't have that same need to show off and prove he's the smartest most talented person in the room. Becouse that's what I think it is. The duel in OotP doesn't look like that just because of skill it's also arrogance, of both combatants.
Both Dumbledore and Voldemort are trying to say: "look at me! I'm so much more talented and skilled than the other guy!" during their duel. The whole thing is a theatrical ego-stroke.
It's why Voldemort gets so miffed when Dumbledore questions his intelligence and magical skill. It's why Dumbledore repeatedly doubts Voldemort's skills aloud and calls him "Tom". Their duel is a game of showing "Look, I'm better", neither of them is trying to simply win, they want to humiliate their opponent and prove themselves superior.
“You do not seek to kill me, Dumbledore?” called Voldemort, his scarlet eyes narrowed over the top of the shield. “Above such brutality, are you?” “We both know that there are other ways of destroying a man, Tom,” Dumbledore said calmly, continuing to walk toward Voldemort as though he had not a fear in the world, as though nothing had happened to interrupt his stroll up the hall. “Merely taking your life would not satisfy me, I admit —” “There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore!” snarled Voldemort. “You are quite wrong,” said Dumbledore, still closing in upon Voldemort and speaking as lightly as though they were discussing the matter over drinks. Harry felt scared to see him walking along, undefended, shieldless. He wanted to cry out a warning, but his headless guard kept shunting him backward toward the wall, blocking his every attempt to get out from behind it. “Indeed, your failure to understand that there are things much worse than death has always been your greatest weakness —”
(OotP, Ch36)
Harry, on the other hand, is an abused, traumatized boy with ridiculously low self-esteem who's been running on survival mode since he can remember himself. Of course, he'd fight to remain alive. Harry never fights to prove a point or humiliate his opponents like Dumbles or Voldy, he is fighting to survive.
He is always going for incapacitation or disarming — he knows the longer the fight lasts, the lower his survival chances are, so he fights intending to end fights quickly. It's the best way to ensure survival and it's what he does.
He tries to avoid killing when the enemy doesn't deserve it (like Stan Shunpike or Draco in the bathroom, yes, Harry tried not to kill him) but Lupin is wrong in his assessment of Harry's dueling in DH. In fact, Harry is willing to kill when he needs to. When his opponent deserves it and it will save Harry and others, Harry goes for the kill. and he does so instantly.
He doesn't have Voldemort's theatrical need to play with his food:
“We bow to each other, Harry,” said Voldemort, bending a little, but keeping his snakelike face upturned to Harry. “Come, the niceties must be observed. . . . Dumbledore would like you to show manners. . . . Bow to death, Harry. . . .”
(GoF, Ch34)
Becouse he isn't trying to prove a point. He is trying to survive and playing with your food means the food just might get a chance to get away.
Nor does Harry have Dumbledore's feigned goodness. (Dumbledore is a character who is obsessed with what he considers "good", he wants to be a good, humble person so bad, but he isn't. To the point of completely romanticizing the concept of "goodness" and kind of missing the point sometimes). Dumbledore doesn't kill because of his romanticized, idealized version of goodness which places him "above such brutality" just like Voldy mocks him in OotP. So he would never cast a killing curse — even if it is an efficient solution that would save lives at the moment.
Harry has no qualms about using Unforgivables when he feels the situation calls for it. If it's more efficient and helps/saves people Harry cares about, he'd do it. Harry is crazy scrappy when fighting. I talked about it here, but Harry uses his body a lot when dueling. He tackles Death Eaters with his hands, he elbows them in the face, he uses plenty of muggle brawling when dueling because it works. Harry does whatever he needs to do to survive, it doesn't even matter to him if he wins or not — what matters is survival. This is why he is so practical when it comes to dueling, why he fights the way he does, and why he is willing to cast Unforgivables. He would always choose the path to survival and to save as many people as he can, even if that path is running away (which he often considers in fights, especially when younger).
I really like your phrasing of it: "Harry's not fighting as a wizard, he's fighting as a survivor" because that's exactly what this is. If punching someone helps, he'd do it, if a spell can be useful, he'd use it. Oh, his hands burn Quirrell, very well, he'd use that — he uses anything and everything he can, he doesn't care how it looks, just that it works.
I think the Death Eaters in OotP were surprised when he just, like, tackled them down physically. I think most wizards think such is beneath them, so it'll surprise them when someone actually throws hands. I mean, we see Arthur and Lucius throw hands, and it's clearly not something common in their society:
There was a thud of metal as Ginny’s cauldron went flying; Mr. Weasley had thrown himself at Mr. Malfoy, knocking him backward into a bookshelf. Dozens of heavy spellbooks came thundering down on all their heads; there was a yell of, “Get him, Dad!” from Fred or George; Mrs. Weasley was shrieking, “No, Arthur, no!”; the crowd stampeded backward, knocking more shelves over; “Gentlemen, please — please!” cried the assistant, and then, louder than all — “Break it up, there, gents, break it up —” [...] Mrs. Weasley beside herself with fury. “A fine example to set for your children . . . brawling in public . . . what Gilderoy Lockhart must’ve thought —”
(CoS, Ch4)
I'm pretty sure Lucius did not expect that. Like, he might've expected a hex, but not to be pushed physically. He probably considers it awfully muggle.
So, yeah, your assessment is correct and it fits their characters, beyond just skill level (since I believe Harry could fight like Dumbledore and Voldemort if he was inclined to do so).

• Elvis & The Rise of the Nautic Sunglasses •
I randomly had a thought the other day and somehow fell down a rabbit hole of researching when Elvis began wearing his famous sunglasses that everyone knows and loves, so here’s some interesting information I discovered! Enjoy ~ ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
January 16th, 1971 in Memphis, TN for the Jaycees' 10 Outstanding Men of America award ceremony.
The Nautic style frames of sunglasses were made popular in the 70s through the German company ‘Neostyle’ and were created by head designer Konstantin Livas. Along with Elvis, other famous celebrities such as Ray Charles, Telly Savalas, and Don King wore the stylish frames, making them a staple of 1970’s fashion.
Elvis first seemed to discover the sunglasses in 1970 when visiting his optician ‘Optique Boutique’ on Sunset Boulevard. The shop owner, Dennis Roberts, brought out a pair of sunglasses for Elvis to try on, specifying that he should wear a pair that covered his eyebrows since it was one of the most important parts to consider when purchasing a pair of shades. He loved the sunglasses so much that he ordered five pairs of the Nautic 2 style, and three more pairs with solid gold frames (in typical Elvis fashion).
After searching through various photos from 1970, it seems like Elvis began wearing the Nautic style sunglasses sometime in July of that year. From what I can tell, they make their first appearance while Elvis is in Culver City at the MGM lot working on his new upcoming concert documentary: 'That's the Way it Is'.

July 15th, 1970 in Culver City, CA at the MGM lot for the reheresals and filming of That's the Way It Is.
Curiously enough, the famous ‘EP’ and ‘TCB’ insignia didn’t appear until December of 1970. The first appearance of the customized sunglasses looked to be at George Klein’s wedding on December 5th, 1970, with its previous appearances being the classic Nautic style without the insignia.
It is to be noted, however, that Elvis would go on to wear the two styles interchangeably over the next several years.

At first, the sunglasses seemed to be a stylistic choice by Elvis, but in September of 1970, Elvis was diagnosed with iritis (anterior uveitis) which is the most common type of inflammation of the iris and can cause redness, pain, light sensitivity, blurred vision, and dark floating spots in the field of vision. Just a few months later in March of 1971, he would suffer from acute angle closure glaucoma while in Nashville at RCA Studio B. He was immediately treated at the nearby Nashville Baptist Hospital by Dr David Meyer. During his stay and after some initial testing, he would officially be diagnosed with secondary glaucoma.

While sunglasses had always been a part of Elvis’ fashion in the past, according to Elvis himself (and many of those around him), he would continue to wear the Nautic sunglasses to help shield his eyes from the bright lights on stage and also the flashing lights that came from the cameras.

Elvis and Kathy (by Kathy Westmoreland)
Due to the sheer number that Elvis owned, many fans and collectors over the years have obtained a pair of the famous sunglasses. Probably the most significant auction occurred in 2018 when one of his pairs of glasses sold for a never before seen price of $130,000. They were 14k gold, chrome and plastic and much like his other pairs, were customized with his initials ‘EP’ on the front and ‘TCB’ along the sides. The sunglasses in question were worn by Elvis during his last vacation to Hawaii in March of 1977 where he can be seen wearing them in several photos while lounging on the beach with his fiancé Ginger Alden.

Elvis Presley was nothing if not adaptable, and he showed time and time again that he was always able to make the best of a bad situation. The Nautic style sunglasses were a staple of his fashion from 1970 - 1977, and it’s absolutely synonymous with the image he created for himself during that period of time. The sparkling jumpsuits, the dark hair and sideburns, and the aviator sunglasses all come together to create an iconic image for the KIng of Rock ‘n’ Roll that is still remembered almost fifty years later. ⚡️

* Aries individuals are among the most emotionally attuned signs in the zodiac. Imagine the delicate nature of infants; Aries share that same sensitivity. When their needs and wants go unaddressed, they can find it particularly challenging, often leading to behaviors that reflect their less favorable traits, such as anger, irritability, and even bullying tendencies.
* Taurus individuals truly stand out as some of the most visually appealing signs. They have a unique ability to manifest their visions of beauty, love, and luxury in tangible ways. Known for their exquisite taste, they often have stunning homes, stylish cars, and a flair for fashion and beauty. Their dedication to these aspects of life is unwavering, as they continually strive to elevate their surroundings. These are the people who truly personify aesthetics.
* Gemini is a sign that often leads to confusion, as mastering its energy can be quite challenging. Governed by Mercury and symbolized by the twins, it reflects a constant internal struggle. While many label Libra as indecisive, Geminis often experience a deeper turmoil. Their dual nature can trap them in a cycle of overthinking, which can inflate their egos. This ego-driven mindset frequently results in significant life challenges. Much like certain artists who thrive creatively during their most painful moments, Geminis often find their brilliance and creativity intertwined with their struggles.
* Cancers are among the most complex zodiac signs. When you think of individuals who are tough, resilient, or even a bit enigmatic, Cancers fit that description perfectly. Their protective crab shell symbolizes their desire to shield their vulnerable side. This means that Cancers are unlikely to reveal their softer emotions unless they feel safe and secure. If someone calls a Cancer overly emotional, it’s likely because they’ve lowered their guard around you, or perhaps you simply spend a lot of time together.
* In my view, Leos are intriguing individuals who can be quite difficult to read. Much of their persona is shaped by how others perceive them; when they are popular, well-liked, or possess conventional beauty, they embody the classic Leo traits, radiating confidence and charisma. However, it becomes challenging to identify those Leos who lack that external affirmation—those who may be loners, face disapproval, or don’t fit the traditional mold of attractiveness. These quieter Leos often get misidentified as other signs because they don’t display the typical Leo bravado and may even come across as reserved. Interestingly, they can sometimes resemble Aquarians, their astrological opposites.
* I see Virgos as being just as unfocused as Geminis, both influenced by Mercury. However, Virgos tend to manage their scattered energy more effectively because their essence is geared towards purification. Even when they seem all over the place—dabbling in various interests, skimming through books, or leaving projects unfinished—they rarely remain in that state for long. This is often a reflection of Mercury's elusive nature. Yet, Virgos possess an inherent drive to create order and clarity, which ultimately leads them to commit to deeper learning, dedicate themselves to a hobby for mastery, and complete that book they started.
* Libras often come across as feeling incomplete. The scales symbolize an intrinsic imbalance within themselves that they strive to rectify through relationships with others. This tendency leads me to believe that Libras struggle to thrive independently, which can sometimes result in a negative perception of them. Their difficulty in being alone may push them into a less authentic version of themselves, characterized by co-dependency and passive-aggressiveness. It's quite rare to encounter a Libra who isn't surrounded by friends, a partner, or some form of companionship. While some might assume that Libras possess an open-mindedness that allows them to appreciate various perspectives, the reality is that they tend to befriend just about anyone. Their diverse dating experiences may suggest a broad mindset, yet I find that many Libras, like several air signs, can be surprisingly close-minded.
* Scorpios seem to place a high value on their reputation. Many of them are remarkably perceptive, able to adapt their personas to blend in seamlessly, much like chameleons. Their enigmatic nature means that only a select few truly understand who they are beneath the surface. Often, they present a façade to the world, making it challenging to uncover the genuine Scorpio.
* Sagittarius strikes me as a sign that can embody two distinct lifestyles. With its dual nature of being part animal and part human, some Sagittarians are exuberant, straightforward, and the life of the party, always chasing after fun and excitement. Conversely, there exists a more sophisticated side to Sagittarius. These individuals often lean towards spirituality or religion, seeking deeper truths and understanding. They tend to intellectualize their experiences and may feel a need to refine their more primal instincts, striving for a higher state of being akin to the meticulous nature of a Virgo.
* Capricorns often come across as individuals who equate their worth with material possessions. They possess a certain self-awareness, recognizing that they may not always present the best image or have the most charming personality. However, they derive a sense of superiority from owning a beautiful home, luxury cars, or holding a high-paying job. These symbols of wealth bolster their self-esteem, even though they frequently grapple with insecurities regarding their appearance and character.
* In my view, Aquarians have a penchant for embracing the unconventional. It seems to me that they find the idea of being "normal" rather dull and prefer to stand out for the thrill of it. Many of their choices stem from a desire for excitement. However, there's a paradox to their nature; despite their seemingly open-minded demeanor, they can be surprisingly rigid in their beliefs. They often hold strong convictions that don’t easily sway. Additionally, their forward-thinking mindset can create friction with others, as they tend to focus on distant possibilities rather than the present. This future-oriented perspective can make them appear somewhat detached. Co-ruled by Saturn, they often find themselves caught between a serious approach to life and the exhilarating pull of Uranus, which fuels their desire for adventure.
* Pisces often reminds me of both Gemini and Scorpio. Their energy tends to be quite scattered, leaving them frequently uncertain about their next steps, caught in a web of indecision. They can easily become overwhelmed by their emotions, which may lead to a sense of aimlessness in their lives. This emotional depth is reminiscent of Scorpio, as they often craft a particular image for themselves. For example, they might project a tough or unkind persona, appearing as a bully or someone hard-edged, when in reality, they are deeply emotional, gentle, and nurturing. Their environment may pressure them to adopt this façade. Conversely, they can also present themselves as sweet, innocent, and compassionate, yet underneath that exterior, they might display rudeness or disrespect. This duality in their personality often stems from their experiences in life, leading them to shape their identity in complex ways.
* Many individuals resonate more with their rising sign. For instance, Aries rising folks often perceive themselves as adventurous, bold, and daring. In contrast, those with Taurus rising tend to view themselves as laid-back, steady, and goal-driven. Cancer rising individuals see themselves as nurturing, emotional, and caring, while Gemini rising people often identify as intellectual, social butterflies who thrive in conversation. Leo risings feel a strong connection to creativity, fun, and being in the limelight. Virgo rising individuals pride themselves on their refined tastes, attention to detail, and aesthetic sensibilities. Libra rising often see themselves as charming, sociable, and peaceful, while Scorpio risings may view themselves as introspective, observant, and somewhat reserved. Sagittarius rising individuals embrace a free-spirited, fun-loving, and adventurous outlook. Capricorn risings often identify as serious, ambitious, and reserved, while Aquarius risings see themselves as unique, logical, and different. Lastly, Pisces rising individuals tend to view themselves through a more dreamy and intuitive lens.
* Your moon sign can reveal how you sought comfort during your childhood. For example, an Aries moon might find solace in solitude, engaging in activities alone. A Taurus moon often seeks comfort through relaxation, pleasure, or by refreshing their surroundings with new items. Meanwhile, a Gemini moon thrives on acquiring knowledge and information to feel at ease. A Cancer moon focuses on creating a sense of home wherever they are. A Leo moon feels most comfortable when surrounded by admirers who offer constant praise. A Virgo moon finds comfort in establishing routines or diving deep into studies. For a Libra moon, socializing and spending time with friends brings a sense of ease. A Scorpio moon prefers solitude, finding comfort in time spent away from others. A Sagittarius moon seeks comfort through new experiences or outdoor adventures. A Capricorn moon feels at ease when they achieve their desires or surround themselves with material possessions. An Aquarius moon enjoys the company of diverse individuals or thrives in unpredictable environments. Lastly, a Pisces moon finds comfort in escapism, engaging in activities that nurture their imagination or allow them to process their emotions away from others.
* Women might feel a spark of sexual attraction towards a man if his moon sign aligns with their Mars sign. Similarly, a man could be drawn to a woman if his Mars sign corresponds with her moon sign. For example, a woman with Mars in Leo may find herself attracted to a man with a Leo moon, while a man with Mars in Aries might feel a strong attraction to a woman who has an Aries moon.
* The Mars sign can reveal whether your partner embodies the playful spirit of a golden retriever or the mysterious nature of a black cat. For instance, those with Mars in Aries tend to lean towards the black cat persona, just like Taurus Mars. Gemini Mars also fits the black cat description, while Cancer Mars is more akin to the golden retriever. Leo Mars shares the black cat traits, whereas Virgo Mars embodies the golden retriever qualities. Libra Mars also aligns with the golden retriever vibe. Scorpio Mars, Sagittarius Mars, Capricorn Mars, and Aquarius Mars all reflect the characteristics of the black cat. In contrast, Pisces Mars is more representative of the golden retriever.
* Someone you can chat with for hours might either resonate with your Mercury sign's modality or share the same house number as your Mercury sign. For example, a Mercury in Cancer and a Mercury in Pisces can engage in long conversations, just as a Mercury in Libra and a Mercury in Gemini can. Similarly, a Taurus Mercury and a Virgo Mercury can also enjoy extended discussions.
* It's not uncommon to feel a twinge of jealousy towards someone whose rising sign matches your sun sign. This stems from the fact that the sun represents your personal growth and evolution over time, while the rising sign reflects the traits you are born with, making those qualities feel more inherent. For example, a Leo sun might find themselves envious of a Leo rising, just as a Cancer sun could feel jealousy towards a Cancer rising. Similarly, a Scorpio sun may experience jealousy of a Scorpio rising, and a Sagittarius sun might feel the same way about a Sagittarius rising.
* A man might be drawn to you if your Venus sign aligns with his rising sign. For instance, a man with a Cancer rising could see a Cancer Venus woman as particularly beautiful. Similarly, a woman can find a man appealing when her Venus sign matches his rising sign. For example, a woman with a Pisces Venus may find a man with a Pisces rising attractive, just as a Taurus Venus might be attracted to a Taurus rising man.
* You could find yourself in a rivalry with someone who has the same sun sign as your Mars sign. For instance, an Aries Sun woman might experience competition with another Aries Mars woman, while a Leo Sun man could face off against a fellow Leo Mars man.
* You might notice a natural attraction to individuals whose rising sign contrasts with your sun sign. For instance, a Leo Sun may find a close connection with an Aquarius rising, while a Gemini Sun could easily bond with a Sagittarius rising. Similarly, an Aries Sun might develop a friendship with someone who has a Libra rising.
* A man might find himself drawn to conversations with you if your moon sign aligns with his mercury sign. For example, if his mercury is in Capricorn and your moon is also in Capricorn, he could genuinely enjoy chatting with you. Conversely, women often feel a strong connection to a man when his mercury sign matches her moon sign. So, if he has a Leo mercury and she has a Leo moon, she may find their discussions particularly enjoyable. Similarly, if he is a Cancer mercury and she is a Cancer moon, their conversations could be quite delightful for her.
* Typically, you might find yourself not fond of the sign that comes before yours, while feeling an attraction to the sign that follows. For instance, if you're an Aries Sun, you may have a distaste for Pisces but feel a pull towards Taurus. Similarly, if you're a Gemini Sun, you might not be keen on Taurus, yet you find yourself drawn to Cancer.

Shield of a Heart | Harry Styles: Part I
Tumblr media
The Assignment
Series Masterlist
Summary: You’re Harry Styles’s personal bodyguard [3.4k]
Fluff, comfort, angst, panic attack, security risks
The scent of fresh coffee and polished wood lingered in Jeff’s office, blending with the faint aroma of cologne. The morning sun filtered through the half-open blinds, casting slanted golden lines across the desk where Harry sat, fingers idly drumming against the surface. He had heard this conversation before. The ticking of the clock seemed louder than usual, a reminder that time was never on their side.
"H, I know you hate the idea of constant security," Jeff said, his tone serious. "But we can’t ignore what’s been happening. The crowd outside the hotel last week? The guy who jumped the barricade at your show? It’s getting worse."
Harry exhaled sharply, running a hand through his curls, his gaze unfocused. "I don’t want to be that celebrity, Jeff. The one who walks around with an entourage, who has security pushing people away like they’re some kind of plague. I like interacting with fans. I don’t want to build walls around myself."
Jeff sighed, rubbing his temples, his face lined with frustration. "Then we find a way to make it low-key. I hired someone from an agency that specializes in undercover security. No obvious muscle, no uniforms, just someone watching your back without making it obvious."
Harry arched a brow, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Sounds expensive."
"Worth every penny. You’ll barely notice her."
Before Harry could argue further, a knock at the door interrupted them. Jeff stood and opened it, revealing you—dressed in a sleek yet practical outfit: dark jeans, a fitted black jacket, and boots sturdy enough for function yet stylish enough to blend in. Your posture was confident, poised, and alert, projecting a quiet authority that immediately commanded attention.
Harry’s lips parted slightly, the surprise evident in his eyes. He had been expecting someone completely different.
Jeff cleared his throat, his expression apologetic. "Harry, meet your new bodyguard."
There was a beat of silence as Harry and Jeff exchanged a quick glance of surprise.
You smirked slightly, though you kept your posture professional. "Let me guess—you two were expecting someone different?"
Jeff opened his mouth to deny it, but Harry’s expression gave them both away.
"A bit," Harry admitted, his voice laced with humor. "Not in a bad way, just... surprised."
"It’s okay," you replied with a shrug, your tone light. "Happens all the time. People see me and assume I’m a PR manager or an assistant. Maybe even a stunt double on a good day. But I assure you, I’m more than qualified to keep you safe."
Jeff leaned forward, a mix of pride and reassurance in his voice. "She comes highly recommended, top of her class. Trained in multiple combat techniques, counter-surveillance, defensive driving—you name it."
Harry hesitated before shaking your hand. "Right. Of course. I appreciate you doing this."
"It’s my job," you said simply, gripping his hand firmly, your touch brief but firm. "And I take it seriously. I’ll be shadowing you from now on. I won’t interfere with your day-to-day life unless I deem it necessary for your safety."
Jeff let out a breath of relief. "Alright. You start tomorrow."
As you left the office, you could feel Harry's eyes following you, still assessing, still deciding how he felt about the arrangement. You had a feeling this wasn't going to be an easy job, but you were used to challenges.
The next morning, you arrived early, determined to start taking action. You wanted to make the house feel like a safe space for Harry, not one that reminded him he was constantly under threat. As you entered, Harry’s house was still quiet, but you could hear the faint hum of a coffee machine in the kitchen. Harry’s team had already started arriving, but they barely noticed you as you moved with purpose. You couldn’t afford distractions.
The first thing you did was walk the perimeter of the house. The gates were solid, but outdated. You noted the number of hidden spots that weren’t covered by security cameras. There was an entrance to the side of the house that led to a narrow alley, and another hidden behind a tall garden wall. You couldn’t trust that nothing could slip by unnoticed.
You took mental notes—doorways, windows, gates, and even the trees that created shadows by the fence. No blind spots could go unaccounted for. After another quick call, you arranged for a full security system update.
By noon, new security cameras were being installed. You had chosen ones with facial recognition, ensuring that only those Harry authorized would be able to get past the front gate. Each camera was strategically placed in spots Harry didn’t even think to look. One was on top of the high garden wall, offering a bird's-eye view of anyone who came too close. Another was hidden behind a small decorative tree in the yard, monitoring the back door.
The most important change, however, came at the gate. You had noticed the gate code was easy to remember, but anyone who had once had access to it could still get in if they tried. The security team replaced the old keypad with a biometric scanner—fingerprint and face recognition—making it nearly impossible for anyone other than Harry or trusted personnel to gain entry. It was a decision made in the best interest of both privacy and safety.
Later in the day, as Harry returned home from a brief meeting, you watched him pull into the driveway. He came to a stop, giving you a quizzical look as he noticed the new setup.
"Okay, this is new," Harry said as he got out of the car, motioning toward the new camera at the gate and the biometric scanner you had installed. He raised an eyebrow. "Didn’t think I’d need to scan my face just to get into my own house."
You smiled coolly. "Better safe than sorry. You never know who might have access to your old codes. This is the next level of protection."
Harry paused, eyeing the scanner, and you could almost see the wheels turning in his head. You weren’t just a bodyguard anymore. You were someone who understood how to keep him safe. His face softened slightly, but there was still a hint of hesitation in his eyes.
“I don’t know how I feel about all of this," Harry said, clearly uncomfortable with the changes. "It feels a little... extreme.”
You could sense his resistance, but you had expected this. "The changes are necessary, Harry," you said gently. "And it’s all for your safety. Trust me, it’ll feel like second nature soon enough."
You stepped away, watching him for a moment, before giving him some space. You knew Harry wasn’t the type to embrace change quickly, especially when it came to his personal life. But the new measures weren’t negotiable, and you couldn’t afford to back down.
That evening, after a brief rundown of your expectations, Harry seemed to nod along, seemingly compliant. However, as soon as he left Jeff’s office, you noticed his quick pace and sharp turns. You felt a shift in the air—the subtle challenge of Harry trying to lose you. He walked quickly, turning corners sharply, hoping you'd fall behind.
But you didn’t. You kept pace, your eyes scanning the area with precision, anticipating his every move. He stopped by a coffee shop, ordering something he didn’t even want, just to see if you’d relax your guard. You didn’t. By the time he reached his car, you were already standing beside it, waiting for him.
Harry sighed, shaking his head with a small, reluctant smirk. "Alright, I get it. You’re good."
"You should’ve figured that out when they hired me," you replied evenly, opening the door for him. He slid in, still watching you with mild curiosity, his eyes darting over your face as if trying to piece together the enigma that was you.
You didn’t talk much during the ride, but every so often, you could feel his gaze flicking toward you, studying you in his own quiet way. He wasn’t convinced yet, but he was starting to accept that you weren’t going anywhere.
After you dropped Harry off, you headed back to the office to wrap up the day’s tasks. Just as you were about to leave, Jeff caught up to you in the hallway. His expression was serious, a far cry from the casual confidence he usually carried.
"Look, I know this is only your first day, but I just wanted to give you a heads-up," Jeff said, lowering his voice. "Harry’s stubborn, and he’s not going to make this easy. He’ll try to shake you, test your limits. He doesn’t believe he needs this level of protection, and he’ll resist at every turn."
You nodded, already anticipating the challenge. "I can handle it. I’ve dealt with difficult clients before."
Jeff glanced at you, his eyes softening just slightly. "It’s not just that," he continued. "Harry doesn’t just push back because he’s stubborn. He won’t admit when he needs help, especially when it comes to anything related to his safety. He’ll act like he’s fine, even when he’s not. Just… be patient with him. This is going to take time."
You absorbed his words carefully, already starting to form a strategy in your mind. This job wasn’t just about physical protection; it was about navigating Harry’s emotional landscape, too. "I’ll keep that in mind."
Jeff sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Just don’t back down. He might push you, but that’s just how he is. You’re doing good, though. I can see it."
You offered him a small, confident smile. "Thanks. I won’t let you down."
The following morning, after a restless night of monitoring security systems and reviewing the updated perimeter, you decided it was time to establish some ground rules. As you entered Harry’s house early, you noticed he was still in his pajamas, a mug of coffee in hand as he browsed through his phone. His hair was messy, and his usual polished aura was absent. He didn’t look up as you approached, but you knew this conversation was inevitable.
"No unannounced outings," you said firmly, your voice cutting through the morning air. "If you’re leaving the house, I need to know ahead of time. If you’re meeting someone, I vet them first. No exceptions."
Harry scoffed, slumping back in his chair as if the weight of the world had suddenly been placed on his shoulders. "You want to approve my dates now, too?"
You met his gaze without flinching. "If your date is a security risk, yes."
Mitch, one of Harry’s closest friends and bandmate, smirked from across the table. "She’s got you there, mate."
The room was filled with Harry’s band and team, all gathered together. Mitch and Sarah were there, along with Jeff, who had accompanied you to the house early that morning. Sarah stayed mostly quiet, watching the interaction with interest, while Mitch, as always, was ready with a teasing comment. Jeff, however, stood firmly on your side. He knew the importance of what you were doing and had already helped arrange the meeting. His presence was a reminder that this wasn’t just about you and Harry—it was about Harry’s safety, and Jeff understood that.
"I called everyone in this morning to go over some new ground rules," you continued, setting a folder of documents down in front of Harry. "This isn’t just about you, Harry. This is about your team too. It’s important that everyone is on the same page, especially when it comes to security."
Harry raised an eyebrow but didn’t respond immediately, still holding onto his coffee mug. Mitch, noticing the tension, leaned back in his chair, making a show of stretching. "Alright, boss," Mitch said with a playful grin. "What’s the first rule? Can we still sneak out for late-night gigs without her tracking us down?"
You shot Mitch a look, but there was a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of your lips. "Mitch, you’re not a teenager anymore. If there’s something important you want to do, you let me know first. No more spontaneous plans. You know I need to vet it. Same goes for all of you. It’s for your safety and Harry’s."
Jeff, who had been quietly watching, finally spoke up, his voice calm but assertive. "Mitch, she's right. We can’t afford to take any chances anymore. If we’re going to do this right, everyone’s got to be on board with the rules. For Harry’s safety and all of ours."
Harry muttered something under his breath but didn’t argue. He toyed with a bracelet on his wrist, his fingers absentmindedly twirling it, clearly irritated by the restriction. You could tell the added pressure was building. It wasn’t just the rules—it was the idea of being watched, the feeling of someone else controlling parts of his life.
But you had to be firm. He needed structure, even if he didn’t want it. And it was your job to make sure he understood that these boundaries were for his own good. You had to pick your battles carefully, but you couldn’t back down now.
"Look, I get it," you added, noticing the strain on his face. "You don’t want to feel like you’re being treated like a child. But I’m not here to ruin your life, Harry. I’m here to make sure you stay safe. That means I need to know where you are, who you’re with, and if anything goes off track. You may not like it, but it’s non-negotiable."
The room was silent for a moment, the weight of your words sinking in. Sarah, always the mediator, glanced between Harry and you. She didn’t speak up, but you could tell she was trying to gauge the situation. Jeff, on the other hand, nodded in approval.
"This is exactly why we need to stay organized," Jeff added. "We’ve all seen the risks. It's better to be proactive than reactive. It might seem over the top now, but trust me—it’ll pay off."
Harry’s eyes flashed with mild frustration, but he didn’t speak up. The rules were getting stricter, and though you could tell he wasn’t thrilled, you weren’t about to bend. His life wasn’t just his own anymore—it was part of a much larger, more complex world now, and everything had to be accounted for. This wasn’t just about protecting him from the outside world. It was about making sure nothing slipped through the cracks.
You turned back to Harry, who was still fidgeting with his bracelet, seemingly lost in thought. "I’ll be reviewing all of your appointments and travel schedules. No more impromptu decisions. If there’s anything outside of the ordinary, you’re to clear it with me first. This includes interviews, public events, and meetings with anyone who isn’t part of your team."
Mitch, always ready to throw in his playful commentary, grinned. "So, does that mean you’ll be approving my plans too, or are you going to let me live a little?"
You gave him a deadpan stare. "If your plans involve a security risk, Mitch, then yes. I’ll be reviewing them."
Mitch raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright. I see how this is going."
Harry let out a frustrated sigh but didn’t argue further. His team wasn’t exactly hostile, but there was a clear air of tension. They were used to having more autonomy, and now they were all adjusting to the fact that you were calling the shots when it came to security.
As the meeting wrapped up, you found another chance to add more rules. "I’m going to be implementing a detailed daily check-in. If you’re going anywhere, I want to know your exact plans for the day. That means no unplanned stops, no sudden changes of heart. Everything is to be accounted for."
Harry slumped further into his chair, running his hand through his hair. "Fine," he muttered, clearly exhausted from the conversation. "But this better not become a habit."
You leaned in slightly, your voice calm but firm. "It will, for your safety. And we both know this isn’t just a ‘habit.’ It’s necessary."
Harry nodded stiffly, his posture still tense, but you could see a flicker of acceptance in his eyes. There was a silent understanding growing between you two—a recognition that this arrangement wasn’t ideal, but it was the only way forward.
You gave him a small, knowing smile. "I know you’re not used to this, but in the long run, it’ll make things easier for both of us."
Harry nodded stiffly, but his eyes lingered on you for a moment longer than necessary. There was something unspoken between you now, a mutual understanding. He might have fought the rules at first, but you had a feeling he was beginning to see the logic behind them.
Mitch shot Harry a teasing smile. "Looks like she’s got you on lockdown now, mate."
Harry rolled his eyes, but there was no real heat behind it. He was adjusting, even if it wasn’t easy. And as for you, you knew this was only the beginning. Building trust took time, but you were willing to work for it. The rules you were setting were necessary. And despite his initial resistance, Harry was starting to realize that he needed them.
The next few days passed without incident, but you stayed vigilant, constantly assessing Harry’s routines and the security setup. You knew that with a celebrity like him, the danger wasn’t always obvious, and there would be moments when he’d try to slip through the cracks. He was stubborn, determined, but you had a feeling that this wouldn’t be the last time he tested you.
That night, after another late evening of monitoring Harry’s schedule, you retired to the security room once more. You pulled up a map of Harry’s estate, overlaying it with your notes. Every camera feed was up on the screen, every exit was accounted for, and you had finally established a solid perimeter.
As you closed the laptop, your gaze lingered on the footage of Harry smiling in front of the cameras, pushing through the crowd for his fans. The image on the screen didn’t capture the subtle tension in his shoulders, the way his eyes always darted around when he was surrounded.
You’d noticed it before, but now you understood it better. Harry wasn’t just worried about his fans. He was worried about the cracks that formed around him—the way people expected him to be perfect, the endless demands for a version of himself that could never be entirely real. The pressure was immense. Behind that charming smile, behind the carefully curated persona, was a man who wasn’t sure where the public’s love for him ended and where his own fear began. People wanted to be close to him, to see the man behind the legend, but the truth was, they didn’t always know what to do with the raw, unguarded version of Harry. The one who, when the cameras were off, sometimes felt like he was drowning in his own image.
You understood it now—the anxiety that haunted him, the cracks that formed around his confidence. It wasn’t just about the crowds or the pressure to always be "on." It was the constant battle of being vulnerable in a world that only ever seemed to want the version of him that smiled on stage, not the person who carried the weight of his own flaws, fears, and humanity.
Your job wasn’t just about protecting him from the outside world. It was about protecting him from his own vulnerability, making sure that he wasn’t consumed by the relentless expectations placed on him.
As you sat there in the dim glow of the monitors, you couldn’t help but wonder how long it would take before Harry truly accepted the help he needed. He had always kept his guard up, never fully letting anyone in. You had learned that much about him already. But you had to admit, there was a subtle shift in the way he relied on your presence. Even if he didn’t admit it, he was beginning to let you in, piece by piece.
You leaned back in your chair, taking a breath. You had your work cut out for you, but it was the job you had taken, and you were determined to make sure Harry never had to face the world alone.
The stakes were higher than just his safety now—he was at a crossroads, and so were you. But if there was one thing you knew for sure, it was that this journey would change both of you in ways you couldn’t yet predict.

A Shield in My Pocket: My Experience with the EMF Defense Pendant
In today's tech-driven world, we're constantly bombarded by electromagnetic fields (EMFs) emitted from our devices. While the science on the long-term health effects of EMF exposure is still developing, I felt a growing concern and a desire for a proactive approach. That's when I discovered the EMF Defense Pendant (with VSL).
Tumblr media
A Stylish Design with a Purpose
The first thing that appealed to me about the Defense Pendant was its design. It wasn't bulky or ostentatious, but rather a sleek and stylish pendant that complemented any outfit. It came in various designs, allowing me to choose one that suited my taste. This was important because I wanted an EMF protection solution that I wouldn't hesitate to wear every day.
Potential for Peace of Mind and Reduced Headaches
The pendant claims to absorb and neutralize the harmful effects of EMF radiation, potentially reducing headaches and fatigue often associated with prolonged exposure.
Since wearing the Defense Pendant, I've also noticed an improvement in my sleep quality. I tend to fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more refreshed. Whether this is directly linked to the pendant or simply a result of a more mindful approach to tech use before bed, I can't be certain. However, the cumulative effect has been a noticeable increase in my overall energy levels throughout the day.
A Safe and Non-invasive Solution
The Defense Pendant offers a safe and non-invasive approach to EMF protection. There are no batteries or harsh chemicals involved, making it a comfortable and worry-free solution. It's also lightweight and unobtrusive, allowing me to wear it discreetly under my clothes if I prefer.
A Valuable Addition to My Daily Routine
Overall, the EMF Defense Pendant has become a valuable addition to my daily routine. It combines a stylish design with the potential for improved well-being. While the science on EMF protection is still evolving, the subjective improvements I've experienced in sleep quality, energy levels, and reduced headaches make it a worthwhile addition to my tech-wielding lifestyle. It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, but for me, the Defense Pendant has been a positive step towards a more mindful and potentially healthier relationship with technology.
