watched the dogman movie earlier. peak as fuck. I have a lot of thoughts abt it that I am both currently too tired and generally too insane about to really put into words properly but what I will say.

brainrotting hard about Alice. she is sooooo interesting yes she has zero screen time besides in flashbacks idgaf she is doing crazy things to my brain rn. this account is not a safe space for Alice haters IDGAF THAT SHE BARELY EXISTS AS A CHARACTER IF U THINK ABOUT HER FOR LITERALLY MORE THAN A SECOND SHE IS SO FASCINATING I WISH THEY HAD MORE OF A SUBPLOT WITH HER BCOZ SHE GENUINELY HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL AND I THINK EXPLORING THE WAYS IN WHICH SHE DEALS WITH HER GRIEF AND THE WAYS IT MAKES HER INTERACT WITH/FEEL ABOUT DOGMAN COULD GENUINELY BE SO INTRIGUING. I think both her and what she decided to do after the accident as well as the moments of grief and sadness we see from dogman in the movie combine in such a fascinating way that I think help lean into some of the tragedy and horror of dogman’s existence that really only barely gets brushed on in the comics and like. I dunno man I’m genuinely just so obsessed with her as a character and a concept and what it says about dogman and knight and Greg and just so much of the shit surrounded the whole premise of dogman like. am I making sense I hope I am making sense. I need other people to be on the same page of insanity as I am about Alice I adore her as a concept so much I so wish we got more of her

I know you’re probably looking for a longer, full, meta-length answer but it’s such a no-brainer that I can’t fathom having to go into too much detail. these two have a bond so weird and strong that it is quite literally *The* supernatural relationship in a book series about the supernatural and their relationships (familial, romantic, etc). alice loved edward before she knew him. edward talks about how he and alice have to look out for one another, because who else could really relate to or know anyone else as well as they know each other. they’re two bitchy and insufferable peas in a pod! a dynamic gaslighting gatekeeping duo! the mind-reader and the future-seer! the psychic siblings!

i love them and think edward is at his most tolerable when he’s around alice (for the most part). it’s a fantastic relationship your honor, 10/10
