There was an increase of strong NOPES with 6.5% rating this chapter a 1 verses .07% for chapter 95,  but otherwise like last month, the majority gave the chapter a favorable rating.

With every chapter focusing on the Warriors, they steadily climb the list of some of the greatest characters I've ever had the pleasure of reading about. I love everyone in this manga, but the complexity, moral ambiguity, and tragedy of these three just continues to astound me. No matter how this manga concludes and no matter how imperfect AoT is as a whole, I applaud Isayama for writing some of the best antagonists I've ever seen.

Warriors background and sob story is always good to see. However, I do want a bit more progress in the story. I can wait a bit longer to see Paradis cast.

96 is probably the highlight of Marley focus so far, and is a well deserved title. It honestly never crossed my mind for some reason that we would see the opposite side of the attack on Paradis, and it did surprise me with how much of a rush and danger it was for RBA.

I liked the other chapters better since they weren't all about flashbacks; they had a nice mix between current and previous events

I don't really like the Marley chapters but this chapter has been amazing. Best chapter of this arc so far.

This is honestly all I've wanted to see from the beginning of the series. No matter what happens after, I'm really glad we got to see the other side of that fateful day. Also, I love how clear the parallels between the two trios were, because that's something I've found incredibly powerful in this series, but it's never really been this clear before. I find it tragically beautiful just how similar EMA and RAB are, and yet one trio has hope of a happy ending while the other's been doomed from the start.

Just when i was finally gettibg into Marley we switch to a flashback! Lol that's how it goes. It was a good chapter, finally covering something we've been going over on a fandom level since 2013. I'm glad we finally saw it. Bring back Annie 2k17!

This chapter made me think a lot of Draco Malfoy. I mean the trio and him both were brainwashed and raised to think lies. They were just children caught up in situations they coulndt understand well. It made me feel very sad.

I wonder how the Tybur family knows about the First King's Will. Either he made the vow before traveling with the Eldians to Paradise, or the Tybur family infiltrated the Walls somehow.

It was interesting to see these events unfold through the long-awaited perspective of Reiner, Bertholt and Annie. I liked how they showed those three kids having more humanity. Seeing Bertholt hesitate and Annie cry gave another dimension to their character.

I've said it before but the new shots of Bertholdt looming over the wall were so fucking incredible. When it gets animated, I hope this moment be silent, no bgm, nothing. It would make it more memorable.

The fact that this chapter is called "Door of Hope" may suggest that RBA's time having their worldview expanded will eventually lead to hope. Reiner may turn on Marley in the end, and Annie's character definitely isn't loyal to Marley. I don't think either would work for Paradis if they had a choice, but since Paradis *is* directly opposing Marley, I suspect we'll have a "enemy of my enemy is my friend" situation. For Annie at least. If Reiner switches, I think it'll be in some great final act. :'(

Reignar's motivation for joining the military was done really well, and I love how complicated of a situation he's been in...

I've been a fan of getting the Marley perspective and was really happy to see Annie again, but this chapter felt like it was more of everything we already knew. It didn't add emotional stakes, it didn't add to the plot, it contributed to the abysmal pacing. I realize that we can't fully judge the manga until it's complete but the fact is, this is a monthly manga, and Isayama should take that into consideration when pacing the story. Focusing entirely on a flashback this chapter felt like a really poor narrative decision, especially since while it gave us feelings it didn't add any the last chapter didn't also give us. I know Isayama is a master of the long game so maybe I'm wrong and this was an important chapter, but it certainly didn't feel like it. It feels like he's trying too hard to make us feel for the warriors, but the previous chapters already accomplished that.

I expect SC to come back in Chapter 99. With the festival upcoming, I expect two volumes of Warriors before returning to out niggas on Paradis. Also, it's Reigner, not Reiner.

This arc need to step up its pace. It's good that we had all this new info but the story is so slow!

Disappointing overall. Little useful new information. The part about stealing the backstory was interesting but not significant. No plot advancements, no new mysteries, no present day action, and we all guessed accurately how the wall fell from RBA's perspective. IMO a pointless chapter, and the Marley arc has dragged on for almost a year now (no problem with Marley focus, it's just been very slow). Could/should have been done differently (include Walldians learning about Marley along w/us readers, include Warriors other than Reiner)

I finally fully enjoyed reading a chapter of this Marley arc, even if it's just a flashback... but i reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaalllly wish to come back to the original cast POV. I miss them, i wanna see them, i would sell my soul to see them. Also i think Isayama made a wrong choice doing this Marley arc now, after the timeskip, if he had done this before the fandom probably wouldn't react as the way they did (missing EMA and Veterans). I mean, after the longest time skip ever, after the most loved/hated arc with huge changes to some characters, Isayama just change the view to another characters not showing us anything of what happened. Also with this guidebook we could see that things have changed with the original cast, mainly the relationships that before were strong but at this moment we don't know fully (Like i seriously saw the EMA split apart reading this guidebook, a thing that i didn't wanted to happe, but at the same time i wanted because is interesting af. Or Levi miserable after Erwin death... Because I see all the recent Annie content as the most obvious foreshadowing of her return to the plot, that begs a new question. In Stohess, she tried to run away, not take Eren, and just get back to her father. She crystallized with that stuff in mind, she seemed ready to abandon her mission, so when she inevitably wakes up will she still have that same mindset? I think this whole thing could set up an interesting change for her character. Whether she joins the Walldians or not, she finally gets a chance to break away from the flow and suffer or thrive based on the outcome of (probably) the only time she's allowed to choose something in her life.

Loved seeing how Annie really felt about the mission outside of the hometown and ideologies. Also heart breaking to see Reiner trying so hard to make the mission work only to end up losing the only other two who understood him best in the end.

I was hoping we would get the Tyber family's festival, and there Amputee-kun would reveal his identity. However, after seeing this chapter, I realized how important and interesting the Fall of Wall Maria is in the warriors' point of view. I'm glad we got this chapter.

People died all the time in this war. It was unavoidable, most of the time. He could understand why a medic would be in such a state of distress when it came to the results of the last outing beyond the wall. How many scouts died? There were always deaths, and most of them were deaths that couldn't be prevented, or reversed. Swallowed whole, bit in half, crushed. She couldn't save everyone. He wished with all his heart that she could, but it was just an impossible fantasy.

"Lets say that I'm out training later today, and I screw up and hurt myself real bad. I break my arm, gouge an eye out on a stray branch. Who can I trust to nurse me back to health if you aren't even taking care of yourself?" He questioned. It was a hard truth to face, that much he was sure of. Lucky for her, if he was injured, he could just make a full recovery regardless, but she didn't know that.

"So either make your way over to your room, and get some rest, or I will take you there myself, Team Leader." He said calmly. He had no authority to give her orders, he was just a new recruit to the Scouts, but he understood her importance in the Scouts and was willing to face some punishment if it meant saving more lives later.

Most days started the same. He woke up, did some early morning cardio and joined the rest of the Scouts for breakfast. He never really thought about who he was, where he was from, if the others had any idea about him. With Annie, Bertholdt, and Reiner all having been discovered, he figured his cover would be fine. It didn't seem like anyone had any suspicions of him, as far as he knew.

Todays jog however, felt unsettling to say the least. It was quiet, which most mornings were, but this quiet left him feeling off. It was uncanny, like something was waiting for him further down the trail. He paused for a second, slowing his jog to a walk as he continued down his path. His stomach churned as he felt something was odd.

He scanned the trees around him for a second, his mind going blank as he searched. He had no reason to feel like today would be any different than every other, but his sinking suspicion seemed to be proven right when he heard the sound of a flare going off. He turned quickly, looking up to see the green smoke coming from the trees right next to him. He tensed as he heard Scouts jumping into action with their gear, flying all around him now.

He let out a grunt as he was hit from behind and knocked to the floor, restrained with his arms behind his back and a knee holding them down. Before he could say anything he felt a cloth wrapped around his head, gagging him as Scouts shouted orders. They started searching him fervently for any sharp object he may have held, similar to Annie's ring.

He struggled under them, trying to force himself free and ask what the hell was wrong with all of them, but he figured it had something to do with the Warrior trio. How would they have known? Birth records maybe? It's not like any of them were aware of what those records looked like. They all tried to create the most believable record with a sound story.

Maybe he'd failed.

It had become the talk of the Military Police, right up there with the whole ordeal surrounding Eren Jaeger. Israel Frey was leaving the MP’s to join the Scouts. An idiot they called him, stupid and foolish for his choice to transfer over. They would never understand that he needed to do this, even if he didn’t want to. Eren was the mission now, and he had to see his mission through.

He was sitting alone in his room for a few moments, quiet and still as he thought of what to do with himself. He had to pack his things and get going, he knew that, but part of him was keeping him there. A cold hand had gripped his gut. Was it fear? Maybe so...people died all the time beyond the walls. And beyond the walls were those things. The Titans.

His gaze was focused on the bed across from him where he had placed his pack. It would carry his clothes and a few other personal items. Lucky for him, packing was easy, but his mind wasn’t focused on packing his small amount of belongings. He was too busy thinking about those abominations shambling through the ruined city of Shiganshina. The vacant and hungry expressions. They wanted to eat him, he knew that much for certain. He was their only chance of salvation at that moment in time.

He was pulled from his thoughts by a loud knock on the door. He glanced over, taking a second to calm his breathing, noticing it was rather heavy. Once he was in control he stood himself up and approached the door, opening it up and looking down to see the woman standing there.

“Here to tell me I’m an idiot like everyone else? If so I don’t have the time for it. I have to get my things ready.” He said, a disinterested look in his eyes.

The sun was setting as he slowly walked through the hole created only days ago by his old friends. He was careful about his grip on the wall, and his grip on the female within his other hand. His Titan glanced down at her, making sure she was safe in his grip before he looked out at the actual destruction caused by the Titan squad who had showed up earlier. His heart sank, an ache going through his entire body, though he wouldn’t dare show his hurt to the girl he traveled here with.

He rook a few moments to glance around, wondering exactly how he could get them atop the wall. It’s not like he could just throw her and climb up himself. It wasn’t long before his thoughts were interrupted, the sound of a Titan approaching them slowly. He turned his gaze, looking hard at the shorter titan. It was obviously trying to get at the girl he held. For a moment he considered letting it, but how cruel would that be? Far too cruel for him to do.

He easily reached down, squeezing hold of it’s neck and ripping the nape out, the titan falling and starting to vanish. He then moved the woman up and placed her on his head, waiting for her to grip hold of his hair before he turned and gripped onto the sides of the wall, slowly pulling them up. He didn’t want to shake her around so he kept his pace steady.

Once atop the wall he gently pulled her off and set her down, pulling himself free of his Titan’s form, approaching her with a tired look. “Well...here we are.” He said to her, sitting down and taking a deep breath. “Quite the carnage caused by our friends huh? This looks a lot worse than I thought it would.” He told her, pulling out some supplies to get a small fire started. He planned on making them a meal before heading to sleep.

He searched her eyes for a brief moment. From now on, she was always his ally. To have someone in his life like this, someone who was willing to follow him as an ally. Someone who would join him in no matter what conquest he had. This was a luxury he never suspected he'd have. He had convinced himself that he would be going at it alone. It was engrained in him. To have her now in front of him, making such a bold claim.

"This may get you killed." He muttered, his hand gently tucking hair behind her ear. "I've been the cause of many deaths already. I don't want anymore on my hands." He said. That's right. He couldn't have allies. Having allies meant danger. Those who followed him, those who were close to him were often a target. The enemy surrounded them and they both could be found at any moment.

"Tell me what you know. Everything." He said softly, leaving gentle kisses on her jaw. Despite telling her of the dangers, despite wanting her to forget him and move on with her life, he couldn't help but show her some form of care. He needed her to know he valued her touch, her loyalty, her everything. "Tell me what you can offer me."

Lyanna shivered. "I know" Doe-eyes frozen in the corner, searching for specks of any possibilities for a chance into hope. "I've been deprived of so much already, the threat of loss has become to seem mundane"

Her mind wouldn't shut up even for a moment. Not one relieving second of peace. She couldn't even have that. One day, one hour, one god-damn second. And then it was him. Him and his ability to soften the hard edges of the turmoil inside her.

"Maybe I'll be the first to leave this shit-hole, who knows." After all, nothing was forgone in war-times. Her mouth felt bittersweet. And she was tired. She was devastatingly tired. The fire that consumed her only minutes ago had now left her heart in cinders. She was an empty house that longed to be filled with life. Too bad her walls stood high upon devastated grounds.

"I won't be your sinker. I won't tie you to me. I just want-" she paused and blinked, her eyes now locking to his. She wasn't trembling anymore. "-I just want you to know that from now on, I'm always your ally."

Why didn’t he look away, why couldn’t he? That was his friend in the hand of that Titan, his friend who had been cut up and made to be fed to a pure Titan. That was Bertholdt, squirming and struggling as he had no way to free himself, no way to shift. His pleas were falling on deaf ears, or so it seemed. The others simply watched, seemingly as horrified as he was, but none of them could see how much Israel wanted to spring into action, slice the nape of Armin’s titan and rescue Bertholdt.

But he just watched, like he was frozen to the spot. Watching as he was placed in the mouth of the Titan, listening in a frozen stupor. He made eye contact with the warrior, staring into the eyes of a man who was truly afraid, someone who knew he was at the end, and denied it with every fiber of his being. Once the screaming stopped, Israel shuddered, falling to his hands and knees. The others quickly rushed to free Armin from the Titan body, but Israel couldn’t move.

His body rejected the string of emotions flowing through him, and spit it up in a physical form, leaving Israel breathing heavy and shuddering, eyes watering as the stomach acid escaped him. That was his friend, his ally. He had watched him die without doing a damn thing about it. How many people was he going to let die to keep his own secret. How many more times was he going to let himself be controlled by his fear.

After calming himself down and taking time to breathe he made his way up the wall, finding Armin laying with the others, unconscious. He stayed well away from them all. A boiling hatred built in his gut for the blonde. He shook his head, freeing his head of the homicidal thoughts flowing through his mind. He took the time to sit himself down at the edge of the wall. He had more pressing matters to worry about. Eren, Mikasa, Levi, and Hanji were about to head to Eren’s old home, and what they’d find down there frightened Israel. What secrets would they unveil down there? What would this mean for him?

A spark, cutting through the minds of each and every Frey sibling within the walls. Pausing as they could all hear the voice of Eren Jaeger. He was freeing them all, sending out the Titans to flatten the Earth and set them all free. He was going to destroy the opposition. He was breaking the chain.

Lucy felt tears build in her eyes, instantly breaking down as she realized the death of her older brother was no longer in vain, but on top of that he was dead, unable to witness the final moments. She screamed, shaking once they were all freed of Eren’s speech. The other members of their group seemed to be overjoyed, but Lucy was distraught, gripping at her head as she couldn’t bare the guilt, the shame of ending her brothers life when they were this close to the end. He should have been here, he should have seen it with his own eyes.

“Snap out of it! Lucy! What’s wrong with you!” Hannah yelled, shaking her and waking her from her emotional trance. Lucy looked up, eyes wide in horror as she looked to her older sister. “You shouldn’t be crying now! The walls have crumbled and the war is about to end! We won Lucy...we won.” She told her with a smile, her voice gentle and loving. Lucy shook her head.

“No...Israel should be here. Eren may be winning this war, but look at the cost...” She said in a hushed voice, closing her eyes once again before Gabriel placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Quit fucking crying Lucy. At what cost? If he wasn’t dead, then even less of us would be here to witness this moment.” He said, looking up at the massive hoard of Titans that were walking out to the world, ready to destroy everything in their path. “I’m not happy about his sacrifice, I’m not happy he’s dead. But I’m not gonna lie and say I’m not happy that I’m alive.” He grumbled. Lucy’s face grew angry and she turned, slamming her fist into her brother’s face, knocking him to the ground as she tried climbing onto him to continue her assault.

“Lucy stop! If you turn on him now than Israel really did die for nothing!” Sapphira cried out as Hannah now grabbed hold of Lucy, trying to keep her from pounding their brother into a pulpy mess.

“You have no right to speak his name! It’s your fault he died, it’s your fault and Gabriel’s! He fought for us above all else and you tried to kill him for it!” Lucy screamed out, tears still falling down her cheeks as she struggled against Hannah. Gabriel was trying to sit himself up, still reeling from the impact of her punch.

“It’s Marley’s fault...” Josiah spoke from the corner of the room. He sat with his legs to his chest. He’d gone from a happy and joyous child to one who couldn’t even bring himself to smile. The bags under his eyes and the fact that there was barely any light in them was only a glimpse into how bad he really felt. They all paused and looked to him. He hadn’t spoken to them in days. He hadn’t spoken in general. “Had they not turned around and become the very tyrants they wanted to fight against and destroy...none of this would have happened.” He explained, looking to the floor, wall, anywhere but his siblings.

“Exactly. That’s why we’re here Lucy. Because we have a common enemy. We have the chance to start a new life, start a new world. We can teach them the dangers we faced. It won’t be perfect, it never could be, but it will be better. Better than the world we were raised in. A world Israel would have wanted.” Hannah said in a calm voice in Lucy’s ear. She shuddered, her muscles loosening as she cried once more, falling to her knees when Hannah let go of her, allowing her to get it all out.

“He didn’t have to die...” She cried. “Why couldn’t he have just stayed home? I...I want my brother back...” Lucy cried out in desperation. “Eren! You hear me! I WANT MY FUCKING BROTHER BACK!” She yelled. Josiah couldn’t take it anymore, tears bursting from his eyes as he listened to his sisters pained cries. this moment was supposed to be a happy one for all of them, and yet none of them could find a reason to be happy anymore. Not when the dream of their brother was coming true and he wasn’t even here to see it...

As they slowly let him to his feet, his eyes avoided all the people around him. The shame building in him was almost palpable. He could only imagine what everyone around him was thinking in this moment. He was certain there was relief in the fact that he wasn't fighting them, but above all else he was certain he had filled them with a sense of Betrayal. Not only had Annie been discovered, but Reiner and Bertholdt as well, and now him. Distrust was being sown across the entirety of the Scouts, that much he was certain.

He made no attempt to struggle as his arms were put behind his back and his wrists tied together. He walked forward as they commanded. This would be the last time he saw the outdoors for quite some time he was sure, unless they found it in them to trust him even just a little bit. He wasn't going to get his hopes up though. First they were going to ask him questions, that much he knew. How was he to convince them what he said was true and genuine? They'd just have to take his word, and he doubted his word carried much weight anymore.

Walking into the Scouts HQ almost made his own nerves flare up even more. Now, there were many scouts looking at him who probably had no idea what was going on. All of the eyes on him caused his heart rate to spike. He breathed a little heavier under the gag in his mouth, still avoiding looking at anyone so long as he could. Thankfully, he was moved through quickly, down into the depths of the building, right into a cell.

Now the question would start. Would they trust he wouldn't fight right now if they ungagged him? He doubted they'd fully untie him, he had too much potential to escape if that were the case, but with just his mouth he could bite his tongue and transform. He wondered where they'd go with this now.

Hange glanced in his direction a little surprised he wasn’t trying harder to escape the grip of those who held him captive. She of course knew what Levi’s new squad wanted to do the look was written all over their faces as they glared in his direction. Swords drawn they all seemed to look to Hange for instruction who held up her hand “Put your weapons away.”

All around her swords were put away and the scouts seemed to back off a little but not by a lot. The redhead stared at Israel from behind a taller scout she was slightly intrigued by him even though she had seen him around from time to time. She didn’t expect this not by a long shot though they didn’t know each other very well she still didn’t think this could happen.

Once he stopped struggling was when Hange stepped a little closer “You don’t seem to be fighting that’s strange” She wasn’t too sure what to do either. But knowing that he stopped struggling helped a bit for her to try and clear her head for a moment as all eyes fell on her.

“Hange I have an idea” The voice was Chiharu’s she kept her anger under control better than she thought she could. “Since he isn’t fighting too much we could put him under arrest, then maybe if he’s willing he could share more information about how people like him work.” Hange thought for a moment “Until we know his true intentions, we can’t just trust it, but I will take your idea into consideration for now we put him under arrest.” She nodded to the other scouts who cautiously came closer hands on their swords “Nice and easy” one said.

Eren was so confused why Reiner had asked him to come up on the walls without even Isreal or Bertholdt with them. "So Reiner, why are we up here?" He guessed Isreal was not far off as the other male seemed to know Reiner would ask Eren up here today, but there was not much explanation even then.

“Eren Shits hitting the fan, people are pissed cause they found out Annie is a Titan and now they’re all trying to figure out where to go now.” Reiner stated, glancing over the wall for a moment. He knew he made plans to take Eren with Israel, but this was the perfect opportunity. He had to take initiative now. “Well anyway bud. I’m gonna let you in on a little secret~” Reiner whispered. “I’m the Armored Titan.” Fuckin oof.

“That’s a hard one. Honestly it takes a bit longer for me to come around to males in a romantic or sexual way sometimes. But I’ll give it a shot.

“Chances are I’d behead Erwin, hypothetically Levi will let me live after this. I’d probably bed the short guy just because I don’t know him well enough to wed him. You seem like a cool guy, I’m sure you know how to treat your significant other. So wed you Mike. I’m sure you saw that coming though.”

It had been a hard time now that the other warriors had arrived here. They hadn’t even known of his presence until he made it known to them during the battle of Trost, and once Eren was revealed as a shifter it seemed like everything was turning upside down and their plans were flying out the windows. He was starting to stress out about all this, wondering how he was going to get Eren away from the others. They had no idea, and it tore him in half.

Standing in the line up of other soldiers in the morning, his tired eyes gave no hint to the internal panic he was feeling. Standing next to Annie every morning wasn’t exactly helping either. Lucky for them, once the captains came out and assigned everyone, they gave Israel and Annie a day off. He was slow to move away from the others , looking over to Annie for a moment before starting to walk off down the hallway to his room.

Speaking to Annie was on top of his to do list but he also didn’t want to at all. With how things seemed to be going, he was certain she had plans on how to capture Eren and take him back home, but that wasn’t exactly what was on Israel’s mind. He needed to help Eren, not give him up, but it was three on one, and he was bound to lose with how much weaker his Titan was.

He listened to her words, words of a woman realizing her place in this world. No. She made this realization a long time ago. She simply had to face the reality of who she was in a world that cared so little about who she was and what her life could really truly mean. Had he ever made that realization? Had Israel come to terms with who he was and what his life even meant?

No.

He still had delusions that he could amount to something, this idea that he could emerge from the ashes of a broken people and shine a light of hope on all of them. This delusion that he could be some sort of hero, a man of the people. Despite how desperate and broken he had become, he wanted nothing more than to do at least one thing right. And yet here he was, bringing a woman into his life when he knew damn well he had no life left to give.

That look in her eyes as her body caught up with her mind. The trembling, the tears, the telltale signs of someone about to lose control of themselves were all to recognizable to him. Moments before they lost themselves in each others embrace he himself was in her very position. Losing control, coming face to face with reality. The reality that he meant little in the grand scheme of things. The reality that he was simply born into this world for the sole purpose of suffering.

He stood and gently wrapped his arms around her, his hand resting on the back of her head as he drew her into a protective hug, attempting to create a moment of brevity in her life. He frantically searched his mind for an answer, a way to calm her.

He wondered if it would be more merciful to just end her life here and now...

No. He couldn't do such a thing. It was selfish, but he needed her to keep him grounded. He needed someone to recognize how broken he was and pick up the pieces. His own selfish need for her love and care far outweighed his desire to ease her suffering and grant her a merciful exit.

"I've got you~" He whispered, the only words he could find to offer any sort of kindness or comfort.

She exhaled a broken breath as the edges of her mouth curled into a weakness of a smile that wrinkled her skin in a line of sweetly bitterness. "You're so sweet." She whispered fondly as slender fingers ran through the dark locks that fell over her temples. "So very sweet."

Killed, was the verb of his choosing? Oh, as if they even had a choice. As if she hadn't already been encapsulated to the constant fear of being known, of being exposed since she made those realisations. "Death is almost likely for people like us. Look where we are. Look towards whom this dominion aims it's guns."

Lyanna stood up and grabbed her shawl wrapping it around her figure in an attempt of covering herself. Everything they did, down to every minor exchange of glances was borderline dangerous and could place them in front of a smoking barrel. Not to mention anything else of the things that kept happening between them those last few days. "This place has nothing for us but schisms, empty ideas of honour... This nationalistic cancer surrounds us and we will only be the firsts in line to be devoured." Separations, war, trauma and now his life becoming intertwined with her's, giving the impression of a future that seems a little less bleak, under the heavy coat of feelings that pooled inside her. "They're killing us." Blood pounded in Lyanna's ears and her vision disfigured, as if she were looking through a fish-eye lens. She couldn't stay near that damn city any longer. She clutched the cotton fabric, her fingers wrapped so tightly around it that her nails dug into her palms. Breathing was hard. Really hard. As if she’d just run a million miles of a marathon. Tears pooled inside her eyelids and violent chills dragged their way across her spine while she cried hard, her chest growing tight as bile rose in her throat.
