Tl;dr: no.

I had earlier thought that this scene at the end of Season 1 indicated that - yes - Lu Guang's eyes do glow blue and is visible to the people around him even if people can't see Xiaoshi's yellow eyes during his dive.

I WAS WRONG YOU PROBABLY CAN'T SEE SHIT

If the eye colours were canon, then CXS's eyes should be visibly yellow when he's diving into surveillance footage since that's his own body. This would parallel the way Li Tianchen's possession powers work with respect to his change in eye colour.

However, we know from the ending of Season 2 that doesn't happen, we don't see Xiaoshi's eyes as yellow until after the reveal. Moreover, Tianchen's eye colours change multiple times at seemingly random, including before he manifests his powers which is nonsense! (And something imma make another post about at another time.) We don't even see Xixi's eyes so who knows what's up with her.

It might have been ambiguous back in Season 1, but by the end of Season 2 it seems that LAN has definitively settled on the eye colours being a show-don't-tell storytelling technique.

As to why Lu Guang always shuffled away to use his powers?

I've had a mod (basically dlc) idea floating around in my head for a week or two now. Sly-focused and yes it has plot and stuff too- I can't program or code or animate for shit so it's just concepts but very fleshed out for something so spontaneous. By far one of the most important ideas is the addition of a Vengefly buddy with it's own little mechanics! I won't explain but just know that Sly finds this little guy injured and begrudgingly takes it to the Vengefly coop (a store) where it then bonds to him and follows him everywhere. He acts like he hates it but he loves it <3
