Your Complete Guide to Bathroom and Toilet Door Locks in London: Ensuring Privacy and Security
Have you ever found yourself dealing with privacy issues in your own home, especially when it comes to bathroom or toilet doors? Whether you’re living alone, with family, or in a shared flat, the bathroom and toilet are some of the most personal spaces in your home. Yet, how often do you think about the importance of a bathroom lock London or a toilet door lock London?
In bustling cities like London, where privacy is a luxury and shared accommodations are common, the need for a good-quality lock on your bathroom or toilet door is essential. These locks provide more than just privacy—they enhance safety, ensure comfort, and contribute to your overall home security. But with so many options on the market, how do you know which one to choose?
In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about bathroom and toilet locks, helping you make the best choice for your home or apartment in London. We’ll also answer some frequently asked questions to ensure you’re well-informed about these crucial but often overlooked fixtures.
Why Do You Need a Bathroom Lock in London?
Living in London, especially in a shared flat or apartment, means you’re likely dealing with high foot traffic and shared spaces. So, how important is a bathroom lock London in ensuring your comfort and privacy?
1. Privacy and Personal Space
Have you ever had the uncomfortable experience of someone knocking on the bathroom door while you’re in the middle of your private moment? A bathroom lock prevents this situation, allowing you to enjoy your time alone without worrying about interruptions. Privacy is one of the main reasons why people choose to install bathroom locks. A simple yet secure bathroom lock London can guarantee that your personal space remains just that—personal.
2. Safety Concerns
How many times have you worried about someone barging into your bathroom? A bathroom lock offers an extra layer of security, especially in households with young children or elderly family members. Bathroom locks in London are designed to prevent unwanted entry, ensuring the safety of everyone in the household. If you’re sharing a bathroom with others or living in a rented space, a bathroom lock gives you the reassurance that no one can enter unexpectedly.
3. Shared Living Spaces
If you’re living in a flatshare or a house with multiple people, a bathroom lock London becomes even more important. Privacy in a shared space is essential for maintaining boundaries and comfort. With a bathroom lock, you can ensure that everyone respects your time in the bathroom without feeling constantly on edge about interruptions.
4. Preventing Accidents
Have you thought about the safety aspect of bathroom locks? In families with young children or elderly members, locks can help prevent accidents. For example, a toilet door lock London ensures that children can’t wander into the bathroom unsupervised, reducing the risk of falls or other mishaps.
Why Is a Toilet Door Lock Important in London?
Toilets are functional spaces that provide more than just privacy—they also protect against the possibility of accidents, misuse, and general discomfort. But when you think of a toilet door lock London, what comes to mind?
1. Enhanced Privacy
Unlike the bathroom, a toilet is usually smaller and more enclosed, making it an even more private space. So, how do you ensure that no one can disturb you while you’re using the toilet? A toilet door lock London is designed to give you that much-needed privacy. Whether you’re in a shared home or a public space, this lock keeps your toilet usage private and free from interruptions.
2. Preventing Unwanted Access
Do you need to ensure that others can’t access your toilet while you’re using it? A toilet door lock London adds an essential layer of security by preventing unauthorized people from entering. Especially if you live with others, a lock on the toilet door ensures that no one can intrude while the toilet is in use.

By having a secure toilet door lock London, you minimize these disruptions, helping to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in your bathroom space.

Finding Your Perfect Place: A Guide to Estate Agents in Slough
Ah, the house hunt. It can be equal parts exhilarating and exhausting, isn't it? I remember back when I was searching for my first flat – endless online listings, countless viewings that blurred into one, and the constant nagging feeling of missing out on the perfect place. But looking back, the biggest factor in making the process smoother was definitely choosing the right estate agent.
Now, Slough might not be the first place that springs to mind when you think of idyllic property hunting. But hear me out! This dynamic town offers a surprising amount, from its close proximity to the buzz of London to its burgeoning business scene and its hidden pockets of family-friendly charm. Finding the right estate agent in Slough becomes even more important to navigate the exciting, and sometimes competitive, property market.
The good news is, Slough boasts a diverse range of estate agents to suit your needs. Independent firms offer a personal touch, often with a deep understanding of the local market and hidden gems. National chains, on the other hand, come with the backing of a larger network and wider reach. Some estate agents specialize in specific areas, like residential sales or lettings, while others offer a complete property management service.
So, how do you pick the winning team in this sea of "For Sale" signs? Here are a few tips:
Know Thyself (and Thy Budget): Before diving headfirst into the world of estate agents in Slough, take a step back. Be clear about your budget, the type of property you're looking for (are you dreaming of a charming period flat or a modern townhouse?), and your desired location. Different areas of Slough cater to different lifestyles and budgets.
Do Your Research: The internet is your friend! Websites like Rightmove and Zoopla are fantastic resources to browse properties for sale in Slough and rental properties in Slough. These platforms also showcase profiles of local estate agents, allowing you to compare their listings and specialties.
Local Knowledge is King (or Queen): When it comes to estate agents in Slough, prioritise those who demonstrate a strong understanding of the local market. They should be able to advise you on property trends, up-and-coming areas, and even hidden gems that might not be plastered all over the web. This local expertise can be the difference between landing your dream home or settling for something less than ideal.
Communication is Key: A good estate agent is your partner in this property adventure. Don't be shy – clearly communicate your needs and preferences. Ask questions! The more your agent understands your vision, the better they can tailor their search and ensure you're only viewing properties that tick all your boxes.
Negotiation Ninja: Finding the perfect property is just one piece of the puzzle. Negotiation is an art form, and skilled estate agents in Burnham can be your secret weapon. They understand the local market and can help you secure the best possible price, whether you're buying or renting.
Success Stories Abound: Don't just take my word for it! Ask your friends and colleagues for recommendations of estate agents in Slough. Many satisfied clients are more than happy to share their positive experiences.
Take Sarah, for example. Working with a local, independent estate agent in Slough, she managed to find a gorgeous canal-side apartment that ticked all the boxes on her list, even sneaking in a balcony with a breathtaking view – all within her budget! Or there's David, who, with the help of a national chain's relocation team, found a modern townhouse in Slough that perfectly suited his family's needs and was just a stone's throw away from his new workplace.
See? With the right estate agent in Slough by your side, navigating the property market can be a much smoother and more successful experience. So, do your research, prioritize local knowledge and communication, and remember, a good agent can be the difference between landing your dream home in Slough and settling for something less.
Bonus Tip: Feeling particularly ambitious? While Slough offers a fantastic range of properties, for those seeking a touch of countryside charm, consider exploring estate agents in Virginia Water. This picturesque village boasts stunning properties nestled amidst beautiful landscapes, yet remains within easy commuting distance of Slough.
Now get out there and start your property search! With the right estate agent on your team, you'll be well on your way to finding your perfect place.

this idea...omg. I got so into it. thank you so much for requesting!
warnings: alcohol consumption
-- continuing blurb night --
You know you have no valid reason to be upset, but as you spy Harrison chatting with his newest co-star across the club, it feels like you’ve been stabbed in the heart.
He’s got his head thrown back as he laughs, the sound muffled out by the banging tunes streaming through the nightclub, but it’s a noise you’re so familiar with that you can hear it rattling through your skull anyway. Harrison seems to lean in closer to her as she pulls out her phone and starts to show him something on the screen, and the sight of him bringing his hand up to rest on her shoulder makes you clench your fingers around your drink.
You might be a little bit in love with your best friend. Just a little bit. And to see him laughing and touching his friend so freely feels like you’ve had the air knocked out of your lungs, and suddenly you’re so jealous you can hardly breathe.
“What’s wrong with you?”
You glance to the side, managing a hard smile as you see your friend Harry there. Concern drifts through his stare as he nudges your shoulder.
“Nothing,” you reply, your voice chipping around the word.
“Liar.” Harry settles beside you, his eyes following the line of your gaze until he sees the offending figures of Harrison and his co-star, huddled up in the corner. “Ahh. I see.”
“What do you mean, you see?” You respond, gulping. You tear your eyes away from the heartbreaking scene playing out across the room to glare at him. When Harry wiggles his eyebrows at you, you scoff and down the rest of your drink.
“I know you think you’re very discreet, Y/N, but I’m not an idiot. And neither is Harrison.”
Your eyes round out with fear as your jaw loosens, a sudden feeling of dread pooling in the pit of your stomach. Harrison doesn’t know, does he? You’ve always been so careful, so intent on keeping your budding feelings under wraps so he didn’t find out and get all... weird about it. Because Harrison is your best friend, above everything else, and you would never do anything to jeopardise your relationship with him.
“What do you mean, neither is Harrison?”
Harry shrugs, his eyes glinting with something you can’t quite trace. “I’m just saying, if the two of you actually talked to one another, maybe you wouldn’t be standing here looking like you’re about to spontaneously combust.”
“I do not look like that,” you bite back. Your eyes shift back to Harrison, and you see he’s now moved a little further away from his co-star. The sight makes you relax. “Did you see the paparazzi shots, though? She was wearing his jacket.” You always used to be the one who got to wear Harrison’s jacket. “You can’t tell me that there isn’t something there.”
Harry just shrugs, and lands a chipper hand over your back. “I won’t pretend I know what his feelings are, but I do suggest that you buck up and just come out with it. And if not, at least try to look like you’re having fun, alright?”
You manage a weak smile. “Fine.”
The hours slip by, wasted away in the shitty West London club with sticky floors. You do everything in your power to avoid bumping into Harrison, which is dumb because he’s your best friend, but it hurts to look at him now. You spend a while fighting with your mind - analysing every single word you’ve said to him over the last month, regretting desperately that you hadn’t told him the second you felt something romantic for him, because now it appears it’s too late, and no matter what Harry says, you’re almost certain that Harrison feels something for his co-star. He’s by her side all night.
It’s not the best coping mechanism, but you decide to down a line of shots and dance the night away. 3am comes and you’re still going strong, despite the rest of the cast slowly peeling off and calling it a night. But you know that all that awaits you at home - in your flat, which you share with Harrison, of course - is loneliness and your thoughts, and you really don’t want to confront those, so more shots is your magical solution.
“Y/N, where have you been all night, I haven’t seen you?”
One moment you’re spinning around with Harry, the next Harrison’s face is drawing into focus. You grin lazily as your eyes take in his sweaty blond curls and his bloodshot eyes, but you frown as you see he’s staring at you with concern embedded over his beautiful, flushed face.
“Eh? I’ve been right here,” you shout out, voice barely cutting across the music. You giggle as someone bumps into your back, and your hands go out to land on Harrison’s shoulders. His fingers move up to hold your waist securely, and you stumble further into his arms. “You’re so warm, Haz, y’know that?” Your face presses into his shoulder as your hands trail along his biceps. “And strong. Have you been going to the gym?”
Harrison laughs heartily, and the sound is like music to your tipsy ears. He hugs you closer, and it makes your heart pang in your chest.
“Thanks, love,” he says, and you can hear the confusion in his voice, but instead you focus on the way he’s gently passing his hands over your back. When he speaks next, it’s directed to Harry, “How much has she had?”
Harry throws out a number that sounds remarkably too high, but you’re too content clinging onto Harrison to really care to correct him.
“Y/N. Hey, look at me.” Harrison’s back, his lips at your ear, and reluctantly you let him pull you out of his shoulder. “We’re gonna go home now, yeah? You’re sloshed.”
“But it’s gonna be cold outside,” you complain, eyebrows furrowing as you stare into his icy blue eyes. His gaze fills with mirth, and you bat at his shoulder. “Don’t laugh at me, Harrison. I’m gonna get cold.”
“Then you can use my jacket.”
Your grin sours immediately. “Ha,” you say, crossing your arms over your chest. You step back, Harrison’s touch falling away from you completely. “I thought you’d already given your jacket away.”
His face is the picture of confusion, but Harrison reaches out for you anyway and winds his arm around yours. “It’s checked in the cloakroom?” He says, gently guiding you towards the exit of the club.
“No, no, not that one.” You don’t even know if he can hear you, over the noise of the club, but that thought comforts you. “I’ve seen the photos, Haz. I know you gave your other one away.”
You’re in the cloakroom now, and you’re the only ones milling around. Harrison sits you down on the bench in the middle as he begins to trail through the line of fluffy jackets, his gaze continuously being pulled back to you.
“Those photos are bullshit,” he mutters. “The media see one thing and take it completely out of context.”
“But you let her wear your jacket. That means something.”
“Does it?” Harrison turns his head to you, a small grin widening over his face. “I let you wear my jacket. Hell, Y/N, I let you keep my jackets, and my hoodies. Your wardrobe is full of my shirts. What does that mean, eh?”
Suddenly you become very interested in playing with your fingers. “So… You don’t like her?”
“Not romantically.”
You breathe out a large sigh of relief. “Okay.”
Harrison pulls you up from the bench carefully, and he wraps you up in his oversized jacket. You snuggle into the sleeves, and he stays standing in front of you, his warm hands travelling to your face. You freeze under the touch, your lips parting as you take in the way he’s looking at you so intently it feels like he’s drawing your heart up your throat.
“If you weren’t so hammered right now…” He starts, but he trails off with a sigh, and bites his lower lip.
“What?”
“Nothing.” Harrison moves one of his hands away from your face and tidies up a few strands of your unruly hair. “Let’s go home, okay?”
“What were you going to do?”
He’s looking at you softly, and he tilts his head to the side. “I was going to tell you something. A secret.”
“Tell me now,” you whine. He looks so pensive and reluctant, but beneath that, there’s something like adoration floating around his eyes. With a smile flickering out across your lips, you lean in nearer and add, “I promise I won’t remember in the morning.”
And Harrison sighs, but you know from the way his eyes deflate that you’ve worn him down. He links his hands with yours and says slowly,
“I’m in love with you, Y/N. The only person I want to be with is you.”
And it doesn’t matter that you’re beyond drunk, because you know that there’s no chance you’ll be forgetting those words any time soon.

Harry enjoyed those moments quite a bit, if he was going to be at all honest.”

On my Mind, in my Soul - 2
Pairing: Loki x burglar!Reader Contents: Cussing, a bit of violence, some angsting and pining, lemons...and lots of them. Consider yourself warned if you’re underage. A/N: Didn’t plan for the first part to actually be a first part. I’d planned it as a one-shot based on @maladaptive-ninja-returns‘s 3 “prompts”...but then it was nicely recieved and I chatted with them again and we had some fun ideas...so here’s part 2. This time the 3 things have been provided with a sister (who was rather confused as to why I was asking...but it did result in us watching the Bridge of Death sequence from Monty Python and the Holy Grail). Anyhoodles, the things were Earrings. Green. And the song “Put your Records on” by CB Rae. Lyric bits are marked as block quotes.
Challenge
Music’s playing in your ears as you make your way slowly through the museum, keeping the perfect distance to make it seem to the tour guide as though you’re part of the group while to them (a class of history students and their teacher) you’re just some random guest that happens to be going at the same pace. The map of the place in your hand is filled with thin lines by now, indicating camera angles and “alternative” routes.
“And over here we have a temporary collection on loan from London…” the voice of the guide announces through a lull in the song.
He’s beaming proudly as the class oohs and aahs at the glittery reflection of the ornate Crown Jewels. Amateurs. Sure, the lineup of necklaces and crowns looks impressive, but the main items are merely very good replicas made to satisfy the curiosity of people who can’t make it to the Tower of London – the real deal’s safely stored there, only to be removed on special occasions when the queen and her family actually uses it.
However, some of the less impressive items are not fakes. Taking a place before a display case, your eyes fall upon a comparatively drab pair of earrings. Fat, pinkish pearls dangle from golden drops and ovals with a multitude of tiny, white gemstones. Yuck. There are tastier ways of showing off wealth in your opinion, but you also understand that sometimes it’s not about having style per se, rather about flaunting that you can have anything. What in your eyes might be ugly (or at the best of cases kitsch) is probably a blatant show of power because deep down humans are simple creatures that understand a simple language: rarity equals wealth and wealth in turn equals power. And those earrings are rare, no one in their right mind would make more than a single pair.
So why those? Simple. You got a job and the buyer was smart enough to wrap it in a dare, claiming no one could get their hands on that set of pearls. To top the whole deal off, the guy’s willing to do wire transfer but a cash bonus if the job’s completed within a month.
You have to hide a smile as you tug the map and pencil into your purse, slipping your phone out for a moment to skip a tune in the hopes of the shuffle finding something more celebratory for the way out of the museum.
It takes a few tries before you succeed, meaning you’re already back in the grand room by the time you return the device to safety and your fingers brush against something unexpected, causing you to pause in your tracks and glance around, but no one stands out in the crowd of tourists and other visitors. One peek into the depths of the purse’s enough to grant a view of an envelope made of special paper. Or parchment? A cold shudder runs down your spine upon realisation that someone must have gotten close enough to slip it in there although you always keep the damn bag close to your body, even tugged under the arm. Whoever it is…they are good. Too good. It’s as if every camera’s trained on you, like each and every single person’s watching even the smallest movement you make, sending prickly waves of tension to the back of your legs while every hair stands on end.
Forcing yourself to move slowly, you leave the museum. Following the most crowded routes home, you only check for followers a million times. Discreetly, of course, despite the increasing frustration of spotting no one in pursuit or out of place (as much as anyone can look that in New York) not even when walking five times around the block before finally letting yourself into your little flat.
It almost feels safe as the deadbolt clicks into place and you allow yourself to slide onto the floor. Deep breaths tasting of curry from last night’s dinner and book dust helps ground you enough to stop your hands from shaking by the time they pull out the envelope. Turning it around and around, you have to admire the cottonlike quality of the paper and the clearly manually cut edges that shout craftmanship to the heavens. The sender is loaded or makes his own paper.
By the table under the glaring light of a lamp, it’s obvious that the person hasn’t left any other clues on the outside of the envelope, forcing you to open it after a careful examination to avoid any hidden nuisances. You’re holding your breath as you peer into the folds, spotting a photograph which you shake out. What the…?
Trying to pretend that the image’s taken months ago is futile, but still you hurry to the kitchen and slam down on your knees by the cabinet under the sink so hard that you bounce painfully on the linoleum. It doesn’t delay you. Eyes sting with pain as you pull the contents out, scattering the bucket with cleaning agents across the floor. You slam a fist onto a loose board to tip it up, revealing the front of a safe nestled among insulation and rubble. Five beeps and a fingerprint are all it takes for your worry to be proven right.
“Fucking! Alien! Pissflap!” Each exclamation’s punctuated by punches to the cabinet door.
At first glance, the contents could appear to be exactly the way you left them this morning…but the Tiger’s Eye Pendant’s missing.
Maybe sometimes we got it wrong, but it's all right The more things seems to change, the more they stay the same
…
Making the right call can be hard in the heat of the moment, but you managed. More than a week since you’ve been burgled and your thoughts stray all too often to the future and the plans it holds to right the wrong, the only consolation being that the job you have to finish first will be a means to that very end.
Hanging upside down from the skylight, each movement has to be perfectly controlled to stay out of the camera’s view until you’ve reached it and slipped the screen before it. It had taken several tries to get the image just right, but the result was close to perfection. Close enough to get me some minutes. That’s all you need.
Moments later, you’re on the floor. Harness and rope still attached for a quick escape as you work through the hollow pedestal because gods know you’ll be screwed if you disturb the glass encasing the exhibition. Each movement tugs at the restraining tether and gnaws at your skin. You reach carefully through wires for the sensors and lights, the Stark “knife” tugged gingerly away in the palm with nothing but a rubber sleeve to prevent bloodshed. Gloves? Of course you wear them, not only preventing fingerprints but granting a safe grip. Without them your hands would have been slippery with sweat and even now there are a few drops running down your spine before they get soaked up in the top. There. You breathe in deeply a couple of times before unsheathing the knife and cutting through the plate where the loot’s resting. No normal knife would be able to do it and getting this tool had been expensive…but so worth it!
A few more breaths, then you can pack away the fugly earrings and your gear. Just in time, too, as you already can hear the night guard approaching. It’s with a minimal thought of remorse that you ascend, the gears whirring softly as you speed towards the fresh night air.
…
There’s a market for everything whether it’s illegally obtained tools or perfectly made replicas. Studying the simile glinting in the hand, you know that even Loki will have to look carefully to detect the fraud…especially after you’ve added the finishing touch on the back of the pendant.
Part of the bonus has been spent on that piece of work while the rest has gone into setting up your safehouse for a longer stay. You still come and go from your usual apartment, ensuring the façade of a student living there, but everything important has slowly been moved to the other side of upper Manhattan and after the last security measures the place’s close to impenetrable. And impossible to find.
Crouched by the coffee table, you go through the last plans. The private guards’ rounds must have been shuffled, of course, and will take a couple of stake outs to learn. Next, you’re certain that the Asgardian snob must have improved the locks on windows and doors as a pure minimum, leaving a reduced list of access points for a human to use. Question is if he’s considered something like a drone.
…
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favorite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans I hope you get your dreams
The cool air dries the tip of your tongue, but you’re too engrossed in navigating the toy through the chimney to care. Each foot of the descend brings it closer to the smoldering ashes and the thing can only handle a certain amount of heat what with all the plastic components, so as soon as it slips out from the fireplace, you heave a sigh of relief. Now comes the hard part. Orienting yourself through the little screen, the drone whirrs along corridors and through grand rooms in search of a safe entryway fitting a woman. Patiently, you ignore the shingles of the roof radiating cold into your muscles as the minutes tick by until you strike gold in the form of a bathroom window. It’s narrow but not impossibly so and you can’t help but laugh quietly to yourself as you use the flying robot to unlatch it and push it open wide.
Slipping in is simple enough, you only hesitate as you land on the marble floor because you hadn’t expected the dampness of the air. Every hard, cool surface’s laced with a fine condensation, but running a hand over the faucets gives a sense of relief that whoever has showered or bathed must have done this a while ago. It’s disconcerting though. Loki supposedly has a private bathroom en suite with his bedroom, so who would use this? There’s no hamper with laundry, no dirty towels or soaps that have been used. Nothing personal. Perhaps he’s got visitors? It’d surprise you. In fact, you’re almost willing to bet that an employee’s taken the liberty of using the facilities but either way, it doesn’t change the plan.
Silently slipping through the door, you know where to go and within minutes have the display in view from a position in a shadowy corner. There’s still a guard lingering, seemingly taking an interest in a set of blueish daggers. Move…come on…you want to finish the round and get some coffee. Silently willing him on results in absolutely nothing and you can feel anxiousness prickle your back and force you shoulders upwards and forwards. Tomorrow, you’ll need to find a massage therapist to knead the tensions away.
Finally, after agonizing minutes, the guy leaves, whistling a soft tune as if he’s proud of a job well done. At least it might hint of extra time if he lingers in other rooms too.
You’re about to work through the case the normal way when you notice the fault in the glass’s positioning and a brief examination leads to a broad smile stretching your cheeks as you place the glove covered hands on either side of the housing and lift it off – no alarms or boobytraps triggered. The exchange’s quick. A glance on your watch, and then you shuffle over to the nearby shelf with the peculiar knives. Stuck tip-down into a relatively common utensil holder it’s almost as though the eccentric collector only has them for show because he knows visitors might be awed while he himself doesn’t consider them of any specific worth although the blue flaring through the gunmetal-dark material is out of this world. Maybe literally.
It’s when you reach out for one that it shimmers out of existence in a familiar golden haze causing your heart to skip a beat. Cursing inwardly for wasting time, you turn to hightail it out of the mansion but nearly collide with the very same blade you were admiring, the tip now resting delicately on your chest.
“My little thief.” Finally looking past the weapon, your eyes meet Loki’s. “I had almost given up hope that you would come.”
Returning the smirk he grants you, it’s still a careful shrug rolling through your shoulder. “Been busy…but I guess you know that.”
It’s impossible to ignore the quick sweep his tongue makes along the lower lip as he looks you over, the widening of his pupils that sends a flutter through your stomach in anticipation. Never again, you’d promised yourself and still you find the memories begin to team up with the view of the tall figure before you. He’s in command of the situation unless you manage to escape. How? He’s the one with a weapon, its tip felt through the fabric like a pin-prick on the slope of your breast – the tiniest movement and it will be more than just a prick. How?
Looking up at him, you smile innocently to prevent any sudden reactions as you reach out for his free hand. He lets you take it, entwining fingers delicately for a moment before leading it to your face. A tender kiss in his palm, the thin cool skin of his wrist before you let his hand rest on your shoulder, allowing you to reach for him and gently nudge the knife-wielding hand aside though never letting go of the arm. You fingers trace the slender limb lazily, half-forgotten as lips brush along his jaw.
Banzai. Loki’s fingers lock into your hair, folding around the base of your skull to steer you, both your lips onto his but also your body trailing after him as he backs towards the centre of the room. If memory serves you right, there’s some kind of puffy bench or other which means that you only have until you reach that to incapacitate him. Why? I could just go along. Sweet temptation makes your heart flutter against your ribs and a heat pools low in you belly. It’s a dangerous game to play with someone like him and you had promised yourself last time that it would never happen again…just like you had sworn never to return to this place.
A quick glance verifies that you have about four steps before he’ll have you locked beneath him. Grinding against his groin with your hip, the reaction comes immediately in form of a groan and you pray that he’s distracted enough for a few seconds. With a swift snatch you manage to tear the dagger from his grip, brandishing it between your bodies with the tip pointed at his growing cock.
Breathing heavily, Loki’s aware enough of what’s going on to stop moving, his eyes filling with cold fury as he glances towards the alternative hostage situation. “What’s this? Complaints?” Somehow, he still manages to patronize you.
“Consider it a refusal.”
“You didn’t say no last time, my pet.”
He’s right, but you’re not about to give in again and let him get more power over you. “It served it’s purpose. No more.”
“Ouch.” Thin lips curl in a snarl. “It hurts my feelings….especially when you lie that badly.”
It won’t help to discuss past events with him (especially when you don’t want to admit the truth yourself), so you change focus to the situation at hand by ordering the Asgardian to let go of you. Something he only begrudgingly does when you add more pressure with the knife and it slips through the fabric of his trousers with a soft rippling sound as each thread is severed.
You should’ve seen it coming. The moment you step back, creating distance between the god and the weapon, he moves. A sharp pain races up from wrist to shoulder as the metal clatters across the floor, but you don’t have time to register where it lands because your aching arm is twisted behind your back and used as leverage to force you onto the floor with your face smushed into the green velvet of the seat. It smells of sawdust and a hint of camphor, but mostly it just grates against your skin.
A glint of light reflecting of metal captivates you, ensuring that Loki can use less power to hold you still as you stare at the dark grey-blue tip less than an inch from your eye. Shit. You can’t breathe. Can’t move or think. Only one other sentence keeps circling in your mind – unfortunately it’s full of self-deprecation rather than any useful ideas. Shit.
“Don’t mistake my indulgence for weakness,” the cold hiss explains, “letting you go last time was not a show of defeat as you very well know.”
The dagger moves out of sight, leaving you to stare one-eyed at a shade of green you’ll never forget anymore. Then you feel the prick at the nape of your skull. The cocky alien’s in control now even as he lets go of you and this time there’s nothing playful about the current predicament like the previous encounters had been. Sweat’s breaking out all over your body and you have to swallow hard to simply be able to breathe.
“So what now?” Your sneer’s partially muffled by the plush piece of furniture. “Gonna rape me, you sick bastard?”
He hits you so hard that you skid across the polished floor. Black spots dance before your eyes even after you manage to crack the jaw back in place. You’ve been hit before. Hell, it’s one of the reasons you became such a good burglar, but this tops it all and calls forth hot tears that spill down your face. You don’t care. You especially don’t care when he yanks your face skywards by grabbing hold of the messy hair and the freezing length of a by now familiar blade lands on your throat.
“Look. At. Me.” A spark within you wants to resist, but you can’t and your view fills with the emerald irises that burn with hate. “I may be harsh and cruel, but I would never do something like that to you.” He seems to realize what he’s said and adds quickly, “to anyone.”
Just more than I could take Pity for pity's sake Some nights kept me awake I thought that I was stronger
…
The world’s fuzzy and soft in the night by the time you attempt to open your eyes. It takes a moment to get your bearing and another one before the memories return and you sit up with a gasp. You’re back in your little apartment, but you have no recollection of how you got there. The last you do recall are Loki’s green eyes before a sensation of falling.
What did he do? Padding yourself down, it’s with some disbelief that you accept that you not only are wearing exactly the same as when you set out the night before, but there are no other injuries than a few bruises…excluding the deep gash in your pride. No trace of unwarranted contact despite the fact that you must have been completely at Loki’s mercy. Knowing that, you should be relieved. Not afraid. Not shameful. Not…filling with regret as if you had been the one to make advances only to be turned down by him. Messed up. Too messed up. Is it possible to get addicted to a person?
Frustrated, you push off the bed and begin pacing hectically through the small apartment, a scathing, internal monologue running on repeat to remind you of why it’s good you got away from Loki’s mansion without anything else happening.
…
Turning in your bed, you’re vaguely aware that the light has changed to soft grey tones - you must have managed to fall asleep after all. Tugging at the oversized t-shirt to get comfortable again, the feeling of the pendant against your chest solicits a drowsy smile.
…
You near a state of wakefulness in protest of the chill stealing through your limbs. Presuming in the sleepy state that you must have pushed the covers aside, you grope for it. Not covers. The observation flashes through your head and startles you to move quickly for the crevice between mattress and headboard for a knife you keep tugged away there, but cold fingers wrap round your wrists.
“Not so fast.”
Blinking blearily, you stare up into Loki’s face. The glint in his gorgeous, green eyes is mischievous, not unlike the curling smile that broadens as he takes in your exposed form because no, a faded t-shirt and a pair of panties doesn’t count as cover when he’s the one blatantly studying each curve. You see how his eyes darken, hear the shortness of both your breaths, and memories come flooding back followed by a strong heat in your womanhood.
Your attempt at speaking’s a helpless croak until you clear the throat. “Ch-changed your mind?”
The gaze alone could hold you in place as he refocuses on your mouth. Unbiddenly, you wet your lips that suddenly have gone dry.
“I do not deny that I appreciate your body immensely, but that’s not why I’m here.” Loki changes the hold on your wrist with ease, freeing a hand to caress your neck, your throat, before pulling out the pendant from under the cotton. “No…this is why.” Faint embers are reflected onto his cold irises. “I must congratulate you, my dear…your plan was not bad and had I been a mere human, then I would probably not have noticed the exchange.”
The weight of the necklace returns onto your chest, now cold from his fingers that begin straightening the chain. Each stroke ghosts across sensitive skin, sending goosebumps racing over your body and a soft ache warns you how your nipples are initiating a slow uprising against the t-shirt.
“Why d’you want it back? You let me leave with it!”
Your challenge’s meant to distract him from what he’s doing, but he merely glances before beginning to smoothen the fabric. “I knew you’d come back for it.”
“What?” The word pops out hard and mocking. “You think it’s more than financial value to me?” It doesn’t…does it? You’d meant to sell it originally, but then changed your mind and blew of the potential buyers without remorse.
“Pet…don’t pretend we don’t think alike, you and I.” Leaning down, Loki’s lips brush gently against your earlobe and his hair tickles against your chin, its scent of frost and camphor setting off a new shiver that heads straight for your aching core. “You’d come because of your pride. For the challenge. And deep down…because you yearn for something more.”
The Asgardian tugs playfully at your ear with his teeth, hands sliding along your arm and side before reverting and you feel your body betray your mind as it arches into his touch. Cupping your face in a large hand his lips meet yours gently before he pulls back, letting go completely although he doesn’t get off the bed.
“Please…” broken-voiced, you try to formulate what you need.
Light fingertips on your thigh stokes the burning need. “Tell me what you want, kitten. Last time you denied me my fun…what will it be now?”
“I want…I…” Loki stays within reach of your grabbing hands but doesn’t move towards you either. “I want you…need…please?”
“Are you certain?” His grip on your hip’s still soft. Too soft. “I’d like to reward you for the skill it took to swap the pendant, but you have to want it.”
“Just shut up and fuck me!”
Gentleness is obliterated by a bruising urgency as Loki takes over your body. Every inch’s kissed, bitten, licked, or explored with cool hands that booth bruise and soothe the burning traces. Every time you gasp for breath, his lips find yours to swallow each moan that the pressure of his thigh between your legs elicit. Not enough. He’s gotten you to the brink of bliss, but like a mirage it keeps eluding you and the feverish need for more’s burning you from the inside, leaving a hollow sensation that can be filled if only… A whine escapes your lips, warning the god as you reach for the belt buckle in desperation only to feel them snared and forced above your head.
He positions himself between your legs, nudging the knees apart. “So eager…” the growl’s guttural, nearly muffling the words, “longing for more…”
The golden shimmer’s visible even with half-closed eyes, but although you can feel his skin against your legs and arms as Loki repositions himself, your soaked panties still form a barrier between the cockhead as it pushes against your folds, and the old t-shirt insulates you from the chill of his chest.
“Loki…pleeaase!”
Arching against him, you feel the tremble passing through his body and for the briefest of moments it’s as though his eyes are red, but you’re distracted by his skin changing hue and the man, the alien, growing ever so slightly that his physique becomes impressively dimensioned. A scratching like claws diverts your eyes to the now blueish hands where darker talons have replaced the nails. I should be terrified. The logic’s clear yet simultaneously completely irrelevant as icy lips find the tender skin on your throat where they suck, marking a path spot by spot to your clavicle…then past…and as the V of the cotton obstructs the proceedings, Loki shreds it and tosses the scraps onto the floor without taking his burning gaze off your body now exposed beneath him.
“Little pet…if I hurt you…” He forces his gaze to your face, concern simmering in the darkness of lust. “If I hurt you or you want me to stop…say Laufey.”
The request itself is not unfamiliar unlike the word so you nod. “Mighty confident talking wh–“
You don’t get further because he kisses you again, forcefully, hungrily, biting your bottom lip as his fingers slip past the hem of the panties and delve between your soaking folds to the delighted groans of both of you. Perfect strokes mix with circles around the clit and entrance, often with added pressure onto the former that has you crying out Loki’s name like a prayer. Still, he’s got your wrists in an iron grip even if it clearly frustrates him.
“Belt,” you gasp, causing him to pause, “will get…get your h-hand…free.”
The curling smile bares gleaming, pointed teeth. “What a delightfully filthy idea.”
Not only does he use the belt to restrain your hands. No. The god also takes the opportunity to turn you around onto elbows and knees, allowing him to take place behind you. Claws trail your spine all the way to the elastic of the remaining clothes and you can feel it give way, sliding under the curve of your ass and exposing the glistening heat of your cunt. Then they too are torn apart. Cold hands slam onto the butt cheeks, forming an anchor for Loki as he begins to lab up your arousal, his nose nudging at your core with every movement.
Heat and tension builds within you, has you pleading for your god to fill you or let you cum on his tongue and fingers. Again and again, the bastard denies you release. Each time, he chuckles darkly as he has you watch past your own body how the strong hand pumps a nervewrecking huge cock languidly. The tip a dark purple with the exception of the milky pre-cum leaking out each time his fist passes ridges similar to those on the rest of his body. And all you can think of is how badly you want him inside you, to feel the ridges against the smooth walls, and you pout and curse when he returns to the ministrations that has his face glistening.
Balancing on the edge, you nearly scream as he pulls away once more, but this time his strong hands brings your legs together with his knees on the outside, and you gasp from anticipation and the thundering need at the feeling of the cool cockhead tracing your folds, each pass nudging further in until his manhood’s fully covered in your juices and he’s perfectly aligned.
“Don’t hold back, kitten.”
And with that Loki slides into your tight core, stretching you to the very limits which causes a sweet, stinging pain to heighten the sensation of each ridge that delves in and makes you shout with pleasure on contact with your g-spot. Gold shimmers, freeing your wrists so you can brace yourself.
“That’s it,” he growls, “ let me hear you.”
The rhythm’s slow at first, allowing some semblance of adaptation before increasing the intensity. And you let him hear exactly how you feel. Praises and curses mingle with your gasping breath, turning into groans, then shouts until he has you cumming with his name tearing from your throat in a wild scream as you plunge into the darkness of the abyss to drown in ecstasy. Every muscle seizes in your body, leaving it to Loki to hold you in position…and he does as he rams into you haphazardly before reaching his own peak and unloading like an icy flood inside you, stealing the last air from your lungs.
He doesn’t bother with pulling out, rather he tips the both of you, tugging you tightly to his chest as his form reverts to normal. Gasping for air, none of you speak.
Eventually, though, the peaceful silence ends, and Loki abandons you in the bed in favour of cleaning up and getting dressed the same way as when first you’d had sex. Pausing by the door, he looks back. It’s almost a déjà vu.
“I trust we will see each other again, my pet?” The lazy smile negates the questioning tone.

Appreciate the history lesson Robert M.
https://www.firstthings.com/article/1999/12/john-paul-ii-and-the-crisis-of-humanism
What ever our contribution, we as Moonies still have a voice as witnesses to history and watching John Paul 2 getting gunned down in St. Peter's square was the culmination of a process that we were swept into and out of our innocence.
Whether we choose to educate ourselves about the essential nature of Communism or even modern Liberal Democracy for that matter is almost irrelevant to the core message. Atheistic materialist Communism=bad. Democratic Capitalistic Consummerism=bad. Christian piety charity=good.
We made these choices every day as Moonies from the first day that we were induced to reject "Hippie freedom", (speaking for myself, of course). To consecrating our lives in a form of martyrdom to Jesus Christ. It would be many years before we discovered that Moon himself didn't believe in it but was another of the incessant weeds thrown up to misguide and redirect impressionable souls to largely politically convenient ends.
Communism was destined to collapse upon it's own preposterous claims and everybody intuitively understood this. Including Pope John Paul, Moon, Solzhenitsyn, C.I.A. Director George H. Walker Bush, Reagan, Andropov and his successors, The Bank of London, Federal Reserve bank, etc, etc. The only ones who didn't know how or when were the actual folks caught in it's meat grinding mechanism on either side of the wall.
When the wall finally started to crumble there were no shortage of lunatics claiming responsibility. Fortunately, it was fairly evident to the rest of the world that it was the indomitable spirit of God deep inside the hearts of men and women trapped behind the wall that collapsed the monstrosity.
The Pope went down in a hail of gunfire as if to punctuate the orgy of madness. Naturally, it was perceived to be a militant muslim at first. Very convenient. Further public investigation perhaps fueled by the remnants of the K.G.B. revealed that Turkish Grey Wolves were in fact an appendage of the C.I.A. A cacophony of indignation from the west flipped the story to blame the K.G.B. and it cohorts in Bulgaria. The Pope would survive and the world breathed a sigh of relief. Blame didn't seem appropriate any more as the Pope expressed forgiveness and Christians responded. The secret remained with him until his death. Yet another martyr for God.
The Moonies were beside ourselves. What to do now? Hundreds made the pilgrimage to mother Russia to claim victory for God, including yours truly. Most of us were confused by what we saw. Young Russians, Tartars, Georgians, etc. Swarmed to our workshops guided by former, or perhaps, current K.G.B. functionaries. The kids were extraordinarily well educated and well behaved. Most spoke fluently at least 2 languages and were well versed in something known to them as "the classics". I personally was utterly humbled. The experts organizing the events for the church were besides themselves alternating between threats and cajoling us not to fraternize to deeply with the locals. I threw caution to the wind and immediately embraced our new friends. Some were obvious, like little Vladimir who was the spitting image of early Lenin but older than the others who privately indicated to me that he was the designated F.S.B. representative monitoring our activities. He continuously plied me with offers to help him escape with his family, to the U.S. or anywhere that wasn't there. I assured him that I had no ability to do so but he persisted throughout the entire time. The other children of probably mostly former Communist officials were a delight. They loved Americans and were disappointed when I told them I was Canadian. Most of the male moonies had multiple offers of marriage in their first week there which I assumed were politely turned down in favor of our Moonies blessed wives. We were instructed by our handlers to return to Moscow and stay together as a group by train from the Sanitorium on the Black Sea in Yalta where the workshop was held. I rejected this out of hand and chose to follow up little Vladimir's offer to stay with his family in their flat in Moscow. His wife and family were wonderful he had a modest apartment with the usual amenities which I discovered later was an anomaly. I visited in turn all of my guests in Moscow and discovered that most Russians lived in dire poverty usually with three Generations crammed into Tenements blocks without a stick of furniture save a table with a couple chairs. Vladimir has lost control of me by then as well. I hopped from apartment to apartment meeting people that you and I would never have access to in the United States. One girls father was a Scientist working on Artificial Intelligence at the time (1993). I hadn't a clue what that was, sounded important so I feigned astonishment and shook his hand emphatically. He revealed to me in perfect English that a taxi driver made more money than he did because they had access to foreign exchange. I knew that was true because I had taken about thirty people out for Ice cream the previous night and spent the equivalent of two Baskin and Robbins sundays. I commented on this to an American participant next to me and he cautioned me to keep quiet about it so not to offend our hosts. I agreed. Everywhere I went I was plied with shots of Vodka or I "was not a friend". Originating from Canada, I had no problem complying to my new found friends. I was escorted through dazzlingly clean and orderly cavernous subway terminals all over the city from one district to the next. I went horseback riding outside of Moscow at a Orthodox Monastery that had miraculously survived the Communist purges.
A week had passed before I collected my senses and realized that my plane rendezvous was quickly approaching. I found my way to the original Unification church lodgings which was a former Hotel close to the Airport. I was strictly admonished by the church leadership and plied with questions about my adventure. I assured them that their fears were completely and utterly groundless and that they may be suffering from some sort of cultish miasma themselves. They told me that I was never to return to Russia and I assured them that it probably wouldn't be necessary. Russians and everyone else from the former C.I.S. states would descend upon us like a swarm in the days ahead. My newfound Russian friends showed up at the airport to see me off with a flurry of embraces and kisses on the lips, much to the astonishment of the workshop organizers. Some were crying, I was feeling it too but managed to keep my sh*t together. Yes, I was still married to my Moonie bride and maintained my integrity throughout my experience.
I never returned to Russia like others did, but was content to correspond for a few years after, including with little Vladimir. I was busy raising a family in rural Alabama trying to deal with the local Unification church leadership that was starting to resemble the former autocrats of Communism. Moon himself made the unlikely effort to reach out to his perceived counterpart in North Korea. I understood the process but was still taken back by how easily Moon had embraced his former sworn enemy. Amid showers of multi-millions of dollars in gifts, Moon had reached an understanding with his former nemesis to open businesses in North Korea and foster a new age of cross cultural exchange. We later found out that Moon personally profited from this arrangement, seemingly at the expense of his former countrymen. While the overtly Communist Government of North Korea went on to systemically starve their citizens and develop dreadful weapons of mass destruction in order to secure their control.
Why did I relate all of this you may ask? Since my experience both in the Moonie cult and my travels during. (Russia, C.I.S., El Salvador, during the revolution, Korea, both pre-cold war and post.) My mind has expanded, thankfully, to God. Yeah, I concede that Moon played a role here too. We eventually arrived at something called the Internet with which to educate ourselves in order to digest these experiences. What we have come to fathom, much in line with the admonishments of Pope John Paul 2 and others. Is that God exists and pours his love upon us daily whether deserving or not, in such volume that we are affected in spite of the desperate tangle of 'Isms and ideologies seemingly designed to distort and confuse our spirits from that which we naturally cherish. Someone tried to murder John Paul but they forgot that Catholics, and many others follow someone known as Jesus Christ. We don't even worship the dude but seek his guidance provided in a little handbook called New Testament. Sometime I remember to crack it open in a moment of anguish and my heart was melted in utter complete surrender. Not by force of course, but because my mind could suddenly absorb the kernels of truth from the scant but magnificent parables taught over 2000 years ago by this guy to a bunch of miscreants. Not unlike myself, abandoned by the wealthy and powerful who always seem to be with us but not of us. Trying to control and take what they can from us including our impoverished spirits. But no. Not this time. It is nothing but sand. Of course Jesus said it best. Matt. 4:1; Mk. 1:12; Lk. 4:1
"You will bow down and serve your God and creator" (paraphrasing Jesus speaking to Satan in the wilderness). I concur, God's will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Thanks for reading. Shout out to John Paul and all the saints. I'm unworthy but have committed myself to do what I can, come what may.

The First Day of the Rest of My Life in Berlin
Welcome to my diary. I have been meaning to keep one of these for the whole of my twenties but I never got around to it. I’m currently 26 years old and today was the day that I moved to Berlin. It was a decision i made one year and ten days ago on the 13th of November. IT came about because my dreams and career have been stagnating for a while [4 years] In London and I really wasn’t happy anymore, especially after moving back in with my dad because my previous residence was too full of dogshit and used needles. I got up at about 8 I think. Dean, my ex boyfriend and best friend came over about 9, and we spent the morning sorting out a bunch of my last belongings. It was all very frantic and rushed, but I left the house in a state my dad was relatively pleased with.
We went to the post office first to mail some rubber to my crush in America. It was rubber from my passed away Sir. We were such a scene trying to fix the broken granny trolley full of stuff for dean with parcel tape in front of a busy post office. We got on the tube. It was a nightmare trying to navigate with three things on wheeels and about 5 or 6 back packs or bags. It was really strange and busy the whole things. Given that I had given myself a year to plan all of this, the fantasy-land version of myself had dreamed that everything would have been packed up and put to bed months ago, however the real version of me new I would be a qausi ,but never ever complete disaster as usual. In my head I think of myself as being one on a team of rag tag misfit kits who save the day wearing inventive but destroyed outfits, and brandish effective yet fucking weird and unconventional looking weapons.
So yeah we got to the airport and checked in, nearly burst into tears telling the lady on the desk i’d been planning this day for a year. my mate Bill works at heathrow and he came and joined us at the whetherspoons to see me off. When we’d drank and the time came for us to leave I decided now was the perfect time to record a video with Dean where we read off and performed our list of completely fucking weird and abstract foiles-es-deux language memes from the stickynotes app on my laptop. “blabble fish” “octoboyfriend” “Hatch distress call” and “pacman around the shop” were all memes that we re-enacted for this video. it was LOLZ.
And then the time was upon us. We walked to the gate, and we said goodbye. I pretty much instantly burst into tears telling dean good bye and how much i loved him, whilst holding him. We’ve been joined at the hip seeing each other at least two times a week for four years so it was a bit tough. We said we loved each other and were thankful for the times we had. I gave bill a “come here Bill!” and pulled him close.
Got through security and put my head-phones on. Next song up on my list was Foals- Spanish Sahara. This track is a work of art. It progresses so slowly I had to skip the first minute to be able to skip to the part where you could actually say it was a beginning verse. I walked to my gate (A26) as the song progresses. .... This whole time, the last year I knew was going to be year of closing doors behind me, some shut easy, some shut with the sound of broken hearts bittersweet wishes. When I decided to leave London it was like suddenly my 3d interaction with the city and all the people in it had become a massive one way track labyrinthine palace and at every step where i knew it was the last time i’d be in one place, or talk to one person, I neatly and quietly closed the door of this memory behind me. At first you’re zig zagging all over town shutting doors, but when it gets closer to things like, your leaving party, and your last ten tube rides, and then last time you see people you see every day, and then suddenly you’re listening to Spanish Sahara (a song about abandoning a foresaken place) and you’re looking through airport glass at the plane your about to board and you let out a great big silent scream because the fucking plane door now not only represents final closure of the palace of your life in London, all the hopes, failures dreams, tears, memories, laughs, blood, semen, and ambitions of this place. It staggeringly also carries the weight of being a portal to another dimension. At this point the plane ceases to be a plane, but instead is now a vessel that carries you from your neatly shut-down city of failed dreams, through time and space, to your future in a world that you really don’t know that much about, apart from that there was a big wall that cut it in half, and that it is currently the stunning playground of Gay Angels, Neo Nazi Demons, and all those in between... oh and by the way, they’re all dancing to techno and fucking on the dancefloor.
So I board the plane. I go to my seat I booked, its by a window at the very back. I’m sitting there with tears in my eyes and a woman turns around from the seat in front of me and asks in german if the lighter she has just found on the floor is mine. I tell her no its not, an eventually in german “Dass is nicht mein feuerzoig” and we strike up conversation. I tell her very quickly this is my moving flight to berlin that i’ve been planning on for one , and she’s instantly overwhelmed with compassionate amazement. Her name is Ingrid. She was super sweet to me, and told me numerous times that she had huge respect for me making this gigantic leap, and the guts it took to make it, and how much fun berlin would be, and how so many people never listen to their gut instinct. Over the cours of the flight she tells me over her story, how she lived in Berlin for 10 years, in Schoneberg no less, and how she thought she’d be happier becoming a sister in a convent, and how her dream led her astray, and how it had hurt to leave everything to start again and it not worked out. She explained how she worked in finance for a bit, and then a hospice which was a her true calling in life, and now how she was doing finance work again....and was very unfulfilled. I told her more of my year, how the dogshit needle house and years of london stagnation had made me so anxious sometimes at work I just wanted to sit there and cry and scream at the blank wall in front of my desk. And how something drastic needed to be done. I told her how I lost Michael in Berlin and how is death affected me, nd how I believe in magic and the amazing energy of the universe that will help and guide you if you are good, and you believe, and if you ask nicely and you yearn, and you work hard it will heLP YOU THE FUCK OUT. Ingrid supported all my additions with points of her own, and I think in that moment she new that like me, her life had become derailed from it’s path towards destiny and that it was time to get off of this path of pointlessness and back on one which makes her happy. That vessel. The wormhole to another life. Was a magical place to be. The plane flew over a beautiful wash of white clouds the whole way to Germany, and their textures changed from bright sunshine to darkness very quickly as sunset speed was enhanced by the plane’s cruising speed of threehundredandX MPH. With the ground obscured by smokewaves and light switch of the earth being flicked off so quickly, it was the transition from one path to another was practically audible. It was like the closing palace was actually my universe collapsing into a singular hyper dense singularity, and this new state, one even smaller than an atom was where I was in the vessel in that moment. The changing of the sky and the earth around me was actually the visual signs that my new future was being rotated and recalibrated around me, so that when the door of that fucking plane opened, a new palace and a new universe and a new future would burst out in front of me, sprawling infinitely. The name of that future is Berlin.
The plane lands. I get my bags with Ingrid. We take a selfie, proclaim the importance and sacred of our meeting and we move on. In the cab ride back to my place the driver welcomes me to Berlin and we instantly start talking about the insane nightlife. By the end of the cab ride he has revealed to me that he has always wanted to go to berghain and i give him some ideas of he could look cool and get in. and he is very thankful. He also told me how when he’s having sex he loves speaking in english because he finds it super fucking hot...like seriously, he spoke so emphatically that from what i can tell, english sex is to him what bondage fisting is to me.
I hang about for ten minutes waiting for Alis excited as fuck. When she arrives and opens the foor and screams “welcome to your new chapter!!” she looks slightly concerned at me for second because a few seconds has passed now and I’m so fulll of amazement and awe at those words my mouth was a big jar with a small lid, and filled with big word pickles and none of the eighty word pickeles could come out. . . So I just sort of jumped in the air and screamed a abit. We climbed about 7 flights of stairs up to the flat with my HEAVY Fuckng bags where she let me in and showed me my new room. Which. just. oh. my god. It’s. just. so fucking big. I can’t even believe it. I have the best room in the house! It’s long and tall, you could get about two and a half of my old bedroom in brixton into it easily. Suddenly I was here, The sparks of my new life palace constructing itself in front of me. All I could think was that it seemed so easy in a way. Like I had asked, and yes i did work, and save, and put in love and money and effort, and it just appeared in front me and now I can just go walk over, and pick it up and hold it and it’s mine. MY DREAM IS MINE AND ITS COMING TRUE EVERY SECOND THAT PASSES.

Can u do something about Jackie finding out and then telling Steve she’s pregnant
I’m sorry for how long this took! Thank you for sending this in!! This is actually how I plan on it playing out in the actual story but with more details, hope you enjoy it!
Jacqueline was laid out on the hotel bed, simmering in the silence that surrounded her. The rain had just started to fall in London. It was the perfect weather to follow Peggy’s funeral.
She was all alone.
Sharon had left after news reports reached them about the bombing at the signing of the Accords. Steve and Sam left when it was shown that the possible culprit was Bucky.
“You’re leaving?”
“I’m sorry, I have to find him before they do.”
Of course. When it came to Bucky, Steve was willing to do anything for him. He was his best friend. She couldn’t ask him to stay. She reluctantly agreed. Steve told her to get some rest and that he would see her soon. So that’s what she did. She spent the next hour lying on the hotel bed, her eyes staring at the ceiling. Her mind reeling over the grief she felt over losing Peggy. It was eating away at her.
She needed to do something to distract herself. She ordered food from room service and it arrived about thirty minutes later. She sat on the bed and began to slowly eat.
For a moment, Jacqueline had wished she’d gone with Steve. It would have been a lot better than to just sit in this hotel room…alone. However, Steve was rather adamant that she stay here. She had almost fainted in the church after Peggy’s funeral, and she hadn’t been feeling all that well the past few days. He didn’t want to risk making her feel even worse.
Jacqueline could feel her stomach lurch. She paused, food still in her mouth, when she felt something slither up her throat. She jumped from the bed and ran to the bathroom and vomited into the toilet. When she finished, Jacqueline flushed the bile down and struggled to pull herself up to her feet. She steadied her hands on the sink, feeling another wave of dizziness hit her.
What the hell is wrong with me?
She turned on the faucet and rinsed her mouth out with water, then retreated back to the bed. She had to put the food away, even just the sight of it was making her feel sick. Jacqueline gently laid herself on the bed, hoping that getting some sleep would make it go away.
However, as she laid there, she began to run through all the symptoms she’s been experiencing the past few weeks. Nausea, dizziness, vomiting, and food cravings. She could feel her stomach lurch at that last one. Food cravings. Jacqueline turned to lay on her back, feeling a small sense of dread start to come over her. Nausea, dizziness, vomiting, and food cravings, those were all signs of….no.
She shook her head, “no, it can’t be.” Then, it hit her. Her period had been somewhat…inconsistent. Very light, not lasting the same amount of time. It did alarm her at first, but she just chalked it up to her being stressed from her. But now she was putting all the pieces together.
Jacqueline sat up in bed, her hand slowly went to rest against her flat stomach. Could it be? “Oh my god.”
There was only one way to find out.
She went to the nearest pharmacy and purchased two pregnancy tests. Upon returning to her hotel room, she wasted no time. She tore open the pregnancy tests, quickly read through the instructions.
If you are not pregnant, the words “not pregnant” will appear. If you are, then the word “pregnant” will appear.
She took the tests, set them down on the bathroom counter and then waited. The instructions said that the results would be ready five minutes after taking the test. She set a timer on her phone and began to pace about the room, panicking over what it would say.
If she was pregnant, what the hell was she going to do? This was the worst possible time for her to get pregnant. She and Steve have only been together a little over a year. They haven’t even talked about having kids. Usually couples would discuss getting married first.
“Fuck,” she sat down on the bed. How could this have happened? They always used protection, they were never stupid about it. It had to have been defective. That’s the only way this could’ve happened.
Her phone buzzed as the timer ran out. Five minutes was already up. She stared at the bathroom, the two tests sitting on the counter, dripping with intimidation. Need to find out. She pushed herself off the bed and wandered into the bathroom. Her heart pounded against her chest, throat constricting. She picked up both tests, her hands shaking with the anticipation. Then, she saw the word she had been dreading.
Pregnant
Time seemed to slow down. Her gazed fixed from one test to the other. She couldn’t believe it…she was pregnant. Her back pressed against the bathroom wall, then slid down the wall until she was sitting on the floor.
“This can’t be happening…” she whispered to herself. She stared down at the tests in her hands, each time she read the word, her heart would beat faster. She felt nauseous, not able to comprehend the information that was just placed upon her, at the worst time too.
She dropped the tests next to her and washed her hands down her face. “What the hell do I do?”
She had to call Steve. Or her mother. Who does she tell first? How the fuck does she even start to process all of this?
Her hand slowly moved to her stomach, as she looked down, her tears welled up with tears. “What am I going to do?”
The next day, Jacqueline was standing in the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre in Berlin, exhausted and nauseous. Tony had found her in London, practically begging her to come with him to Berlin.
“It’s about Steve.”
Steve had found Bucky…so did the task force. Steve, Bucky, and Sam were brought in. Bucky was kept in a secured room, while Sam and Steve were kept in the main control room. But Tony didn’t just bring her to ease her worry over Steve, no there was more to it than that.
“Just talk to him for me.”
“About the Accords? You know he’s not going to listen to me.”
“Yeah, well, you two are together. I’m sure he values your opinion.”
“He’s a grown man, Tony. I’m not going to force him to do anything.”
It almost turned into a full fledge argument between Tony and Jacqueline. The latter finally bit her tongue and agreed to do it. But she made sure to tell him that he better not expect any kind of results.
She stepped into the enclosed meeting room in the middle of the control room. Steve was already sitting at the table, his back towards her, still trying to calm down from the conversation he had with Tony not too long ago. But she paused as the nausea hit her again.
Come on, keep it together.
She took a deep breath, then pressed forward. Steve turned in his seat upon hearing her behind him, he sighed before shaking his head. “Tony asked you to come here.”
Jacqueline nodded quietly. “Yeah,” she gently sat down in the seat across from him. “He knew I was worried about you. And, he wanted me to talk to you about the Accords.”
Steve straightened in his seat, letting out a frustrated groan. “He tried talking to me about it again and it,” he shook his head again, tired over having the same argument with him. “It didn’t know the way either of us wanted.”
“Guess that’s where I come in.” She answered, completely deadpan.
“You changed your stance on the Accords?”
Jacqueline thought for a moment, really trying to hide the fact that she felt like passing out. She cleared her throat, then rested her cheek against her hand. “No, I haven’t. I don’t even know what to say to you. You’re capable of making your own decisions, I would never dare to tell you what to do.”
He reached for her hand, glancing around to make sure no one was watching them. They still had to keep their relationship quiet. “I do appreciate that, but I do want to know how you feel about it all.”
“I don’t really care about the Accords anymore.” She brushed her thumb over his hand. “I’ve got…other things on my mind.”
He leaned a little closer, his brows creased with worry. “Is everything alright?”
Oh god, she stood from her seat and stared out the glass, how was she supposed to tell him? Does she just come right out and say it? Or, should she ease him into the information? Either way, it was going to surprise him. She still couldn’t believe that it happened.
“Hey,” Steve stood from his chair and walked over to her, forcing himself to not wrap her in his arms. Not with this many people around them. “Jacks, what’s wrong?”
She slowly turned to face him, nearly bursting into tears at the concerned look in his eyes. She opened her mouth, trying to speak, but she choked back a sob and her eyes filled with tears. “I don’t know how to tell you,” she tearfully admitted.
This was killing him. All he wanted to do was hug her and tell her that, whatever was bothering her, it would all be okay. But he was caught off guard by how Jacqueline nearly fell into him, he caught her, arms holding her close to him.
“Hey, are you alright?”
She wasn’t. Crying didn’t make her nausea any better. She literally almost passed out.
Her hands held onto his arms for support, allowing the wave to settle down. “I-yeah, I’m fine.”
Steve wasn’t convinced. He guided her over to the chair, “Do you want me to get you some water?”
Jacqueline shook her head as she eased herself down into the chair. “It’s okay, I’m fine.”
Steve occupied the seat in front of her, inching himself closer to her. “No, you’re not. Tony shouldn’t have brought you here.”
“I’m glad he did.”
“Jacks, you’re clearly not well. He should have let you go home.”
“No. I need to tell you something.” She had his attention now. She stared into his blue eyes, scared as to how he would take the news. “I-I don’t know how to say this,”
He took a hold of her hand, “Just tell me.”
She tightened the hold she had on his hand, preparing herself for the oncoming reaction. “I’m pregnant.”
Silence.
Steve’s eyes were glossed over, but incredibly clear. Shock was the first thing he experienced. Then, it worked to denial. “You’re…you’re pregnant?”
Jacqueline could only nod her head, barely able to keep looking him in the eyes.
He stood up and began to pace up and down the briefing room. How could this have happened? They were careful, right? Yeah, they were definitely careful. But not obviously not careful enough because she just told him that she was pregnant. Steve rubbed his mouth, trying to clear his head enough to deal with this head on. He turned back towards her his chest aching at the tears streaming down her cheeks. “You’re sure that you are?”
“Yeah, I mean,” she wiped at her cheeks. “I took two tests and they were both positive.”
He blew out a breath, completely at a loss for words. “I mean…how did this happen?”
“I don’t know, the only thing I can think of is that the protection we used was defective.” That was the only explanation for this. “I should have pieced it all together sooner.”
“What do you mean?”
She huffed out a breath. “All the signs were there the whole time. I was just not paying attention. I mean, nausea, exhaustion, I couldn’t hold down food, not to mention the cravings that came out of nowhere.” She buried her face in her hands, thinking how she could be so oblivious to it all. “Why didn’t I notice it sooner?” A new round of tears stung at her waterline, but she didn’t try to hold them back. Then, a few sobs slipped past her lips. “This is a fucking nightmare.”
Steve cringed at her words, even though it wasn’t planned he wouldn’t consider her being pregnant to be a nightmare. “Hey,” he approached her, hands went to rub at her shoulders. “Jacks, it’s not a nightmare.”
She nodded. “Yes it is.” Her words were muffled behind her hands. “I can’t believe this is happening.”
His hand cupped her cheek, prompting her to finally look at him. “It’s okay,” he assured her. “We’ll figure it out, okay?” His declaration only brought more tears to her eyes. Without thinking, Steve wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him. He didn’t care if anyone saw, they could come up with a good excuse.
Now, the reality was starting to sink in. Jacqueline was pregnant….with his child. It made a shiver go down his spine. He gave up the idea of having a family years ago. Being a father was something he thought a lot about before the war. But it was a reality now. He was going to be a father. And that fact scared him to death.

How to Find a Flat in London?
A Complete Guide to securing the best flats in London for yourself
It can be the soaring real estate market or the growing need to find yourself more than just a “decent enough” accommodation, finding a flat in London is no episode of DIY SOS. You won’t have professional home-building crews buzzing your doorbell anytime soon, but what you can have is a meticulous theory to hunting down the perfect flat for yourself. London real estate is considered to be one of the most ballooning industries of all time with the steep rent often discouraging many a hard-worker from investing ample time or effort into digging up the right dirt. However, we have researched some of the most successful ways people have hunted down the perfect abode for themselves, and if you find yourself in the middle of a similar quest, this streamlined piece is a must-read for you.
DON’T BUDGE FROM YOUR BUDGET
Your budget for the entire ordeal is quite possibly the very first thing you should consider when it comes to finding the perfect flat. London’s real estate has never been any steeper and it shows. However, that does not mean you can’t get to live in a dream flat. The key to budget control is to have a clear idea of exactly how much you are willing to spend on your flat. You can be looking for a permanent solution to a luxurious stay or simply look at renting options that seem feasible enough, but either way going out of your budget always seems to be a bad idea. You wouldn’t want your sporadic decisions of the present projecting tough times for you in the future. Experts reveal, housing costs in London can be as high as 50% of your net take home and that’s why a strict budget range can save you a good deal of your time. Select your budget range and keep that in the forefront always as you go about selecting your preferred flat.
ITSY BITSY INDULGENCES
While you may have a fixed budget that you don’t want to budge from, you need to consider all the other miscellaneous expenses you might incur during the flat finding process. In fact, these small expenses continue even after you’ve secured the flat for yourself and hence, some rainy day money on the side would be good for you. You wouldn’t want to miss out on the deal of a lifetime.
HOMEWORK TIME
Take your homework seriously before you head out. We are not talking about having a brief overview of the housing market, but an elaborate portion of knowledge on ‘where and how much’. The first thing to consider when you’re looking for a flat is the competitive price range that is currently trending in the market. Some peeps end up paying £640 with additional £80-100 on bills while some settle for £500-550. However, these are strictly based on the area you want to inhabit and that brings us to the second part of our Homework Time. Your primary research should be encircling two broad questions- the place you want to stay and the number of people you’ll be accommodating with you. These two variable factors can change how you look at budgeting and areas. To give you a head start on the factors people frequent when they are looking for a flat, we have rounded up a few factors in our next point that you might want to consider.
Lifestyle Choices
Keep your way of living in mind before settling down for a flat. The first thing to consider when looking for a flat is the ease of convenience and that includes not just grocery stores and chemists in and around the area, but also distance from a place you frequent, readily available mode of transport, and more. Start by choosing the Zone of your choice. Usually, zone 1 to 4 is pretty conveniently located close to the Central London Tube Stations but the further you go from zone 1, the less feasible transportation seems. Once you finalize your preferred zone, you can zero in on the area to inhabit. Parallel to this should be your consideration of the number of flat sharers you would want to live with. Just remember, with the flat prices and the rents soaring higher and higher, the more the merrier seems just about right, but don’t over-cramp your flat with that given thought. Find out the fine line between flat-sharing and finding your own space and settle down for that.
Now, we move on to the most important question of the hour, with all the research and budgeting at your fingertips, how will you go about the flat finding part?
Flat Finding at the Least Stressful Way Ever
Try Property Websites- Modern problems call for modern solutions and hence when it comes to hunting down the perfect flat in today’s world, the World Wide Web has the answer to your queries. You can often find innumerable online platforms that have a diverse range of flats ready for you to move in. However, there’s a catch. Online is often misleading and we don’t want you putting your efforts in the wrong direction. Hence, we request you to always have a crisp and clear brief about the website you’re frequenting.
Try the local daily- You can even make yourself a regular at the local newsstand where the dailies list up a bunch of available options for you to surf from. With the internet sometimes playing the careless cousin, we would often want to put our faith on something more traditional and concrete, and the local daily could not have been a better place.
Don’t shy away from word of mouth- Sometimes a jewel of a place can just be a stone’s throw away, only if you speak to the right person at the right time. Even though it may sound superfluous or unreliable, often someone close to you may have the answer to what you’re searching for. All we are saying is, don’t dismiss an opportunity of finding out from your friends and acquaintances whether they know of a sudden flat landlord looking for a keen tenant.
Get yourself a Real Estate Agent- Even after everything, if you’re still not satisfied with the place of your choice, we suggest getting in touch with a real estate agent who likes you. Yes! This is important. We have all had our fair share of animosity towards real estate agents but the truth is, whenever a property gets listed on the market, it’s your real estate agent who gets the first dirt on how and what. Even if you don’t like them much, you need to make sure you are one of the first applicants they call before putting the property out on the market once again.
Once you’ve found the flat that you’ve been looking for, there are a few other integral procedures you should complete. This includes checking the place for termites, signs of dilapidation, and so on to make sure you don’t find yourself going over the whole process once again in a few months. If the place you’ve chosen comes with a few existing tenants, make sure you converse with them before saying yes to the place to make sure harmony prevails even after you move in. Apart from there are paperwork and more to be kept in mind, but with the right preparation, this whole process won’t seem so tedious.

30 Day Writing Challenge - Day 21
Day 21: Cooking/Baking
Summary: You bake in 221B and begin to relapse into a depression until Sherlock helps you come back Author: Maddy (@laterthantherabbit) Words: 1250 Characters/Relationships: Sherlock x reader, John x sister!reader, Rosie x aunty!reader Warnings: Mentions of depression and mental illness
Author’s Notes: I know that I said I would try to get out a request yesterday and I’m sorry I didn’t. I have been writing them though it’s just taking longer than I thought. Sorry :/
--------------------------------------------
When you had gotten the news of John’s fatherhood, you were ecstatic for him. You had come to the hospital not an hour later with your customary foil balloon and soft pink bunny for you neice and you had fallen in love with her from the first sight of her. This was also when you had met Sherlock for the first time, and though he was tapping away at his phone for the majority of the introductions, you had been polite enough with him to keep his scathing deductions to himself (though this may have also been due to the fact that he wouldn’t dare hurt anyone close to John, as you were.)
You supported John immensely throughout his early days of parenting with Mary, frequently coming down from your flat on the other side of London to help look after Rosie and keep the house a little for John and Mary. You became even more supportive when Mary had run away with barely a goodbye, leaving him alone with his daughter. When you had heard of this development in his life, you had packed you bags and moved in with him, becoming an essential part of his life as well as Sherlocks when you had all moved into 221B after the events at Sherrinford.
It had been a few months since that horrible week in your life, and John was steadily getting back on his feet, after having rekindled his friendship with Sherlock and focused more of his attention on the rapidly growing Rosie. He was sitting on the ground with her at the moment, unaware that you were looking on from the relatively clean kitchen as you creamed sugar and butter with the mixer, adding the eggs soon after and beating them into the mix. You had always loved baking, John would know, it was all you had done in your free time during your childhood though as you had grown, your time for such activities had dwindled into near oblivion. A heavy feeling began to grow deep in your stomach as you remembered your childhood and your life after, one with less of your passion and more filled with stress and uncertainty.
The processes that had come with the skill had been perfected throughout the years that you could mix up a batter for cupcakes with hardly any thought, as you were doing now. So focused on John and Rosie, and on your reminiscent thoughts you were that you didn’t hear Sherlock, your now very best friend and adoring boyfriend, come into the kitchen. As you grasped for the bag of flour at the same time as Sherlock, your hand skimmed his, causing you to jump slightly with the unexpected touch. “Oh Sherlock, you scared me! You know to not sneak up on me!”
He chuckled as he took the bag and measured out the cups of flour needed with precision, much different to your estimating way of baking. “I was hardly sneaky Y/N. Even John called out when I came into the room. I passed right in front of you.”
“He did?” You furrowed your brows, having not seen him pass through your line of sight to the living room or heard John’s voice. “You did?”
“Yes, though it did seem that you weren’t completely with us. You were staring,” Sherlock flounced his hand from his side, the now empty measuring cup acting as a guide to the direction he was pointing to, “that way, at something. Thinking again were you?” He looked at you with something akin to concern in his eyes as he put the cup down and began the mixer again to fold in the flour, your past of depression and the relapse after Sherrinford still fresh in his mind. Just like with your love of baking, your thoughts had always negatively affected your health. It was better now that you were with John, Sherlock and Rosie, however they always came back up around during times of stress, such as after Sherrinford and when you began to think of them too much. The heaviness grew. You waved him off with your hand, smiling slightly as you stopped the mixer, opting to hand fold in the flour so to have something to do with your hands.
“No, not really just, remembering. I’m fine I assure you.” Sherlock looked at you, not entirely convinced with your statement, as if knowing that there were thoughts floating around your head at the very moment. You rolled your eyes as you continued. “It’s just, I used to bake all the time when me and John were little, but not so much now. This would be my first batch of cupcakes in months. I’ve missed it.”
You looked back up from the thoroughly mixed batter and into Sherlock’s eyes. His face had been hardened from the stress of the past few months but the softness that had once been there was beginning to show again as he reintroduced himself to his own and other people’s sentiments. He was smiling at you with the same softness that you had when you remembered the happier aspects of your childhood as he approached you, wrapping you into a large bear hug, mindful of the bowl in your arms. You huffed out a breath and put the bowl down, returning his embrace and resting your cheek on his chest. The heavy feeling that had accumulated in your gut began to lift. You hadn’t realised that tears had begun to fill your eyes until one fell onto the crisp shirt Sherlock wore. He stepped away slightly and bent down so that he was face to face with you, his hands cupping your face and his thumbs wiping away the tear tracks that had appeared your eyes. You sniffed and blinked a couple of times to clear your head as you moved away to gather some tissues to blow your nose and dab away the rest of the tears. You giggled a bit as you binned the wad of tissues, the heaviness in you that had begun to appear having now become a dull feeling easily chased away by Sherlock’s smile towards your laughter. “Thanks Sherlock. Did you want to help me divvy up the mix?”
“Only if I get the bowl.” He moved to the drawer with the cutlery in it and had grabbed a few dessert spoons to scoop the mixture into the patty cake papers.
“No! No Sh’lock! Mine!” Rosie called from the living room, followed soon after by John’s deep chuckle.
“You want to help Aunty Y/N? Okay Rosie, and up we go!” He picked her up and made his way into the kitchen, setting Rosie down on the table, who had begun to babble on about cups and cakes but not cupcakes. She reached for one of the spoons Sherlock had and began to make grabby hands at the bowl. You laughed as you took another spoon and began to show Rosie how to scoop mixture into the tins, just as your mum had shown you all those years ago. Sherlock and John stepped back to let you two have your way with the cake mixture, standing at the doorway and looking on at the scene. Sherlock sighed as he watched you smile and laugh with Rosie, a brightness in his eyes that he rarely saw you without when you were around your niece. He patted his pocket to feel the small velvet box inside, knowing that it was safe and secure until it was time.
