grbbrgrr. scurries toward you. I offer thee pathbubs fluff, fresh from my mind fortress.
Patho. falling asleep with dbubs’s clock to his ear.
gives you a cupcake skitters away
(offering received, considered, and accepted. however, i have substituted your fluff for angst. i hope this is satisfactory.)
~*~
"watch this!" dbubs shouts, before leaping off the cliff into the water below.
<player>dat -7063fdce-39ac-4a12-d836-a990c45b2bb0
patho leans back just enough to avoid being splashed. the water in this jungle lagoon is clear and blue, brighter than most bodies of water he comes across. tall, thick trees surround them on all sides, creating a natural barrier from the mobs of the jungle. it’s a beautiful place, and one of his favorites to visit when he’s here.
155 fps t: inf fancy-clouds b: 15x15 3 tx 3 rx c: 695/41672 (s) d: 16, pc: 000, pu: 00, ab: 42 e: 17/109, b: 0, sd: 9 p: 28 t: 109 error fc:0 xyz: -12,683.952 / 39.11563 / 253,589.263 block: -12,683 39 253,589 chunk: -791 15 7,849 facing: south (towards positive z)(1.5/5) client light: 6 (0 sky, 6 block) biome: error:crimson jungle local difficulty: 6.75//0.00 (day error404 not found) sounds: 16/247 + 0/8
dbubs surfaces with a gasp, his wet bangs plastered to his forehead. “did you see that?” he crows. “that was- i must’ve done a- a complete 360 spin about five- no, ten times! world record, first try!”
“oh, yeah,” patho agrees with a smile he doesn’t feel. “yeah, that was very impressive.”
they’re almost out of time.
patho has known this since he woke to find a little weeping vine attempting to burrow into his arm, right at the seam where flesh meets metal. this is an event that only happens when he’s overstayed his welcome, and the jungle can no longer tolerate his presence without trying to claim him. that vine was easily removed, putting off the inevitable for a few more days. but he can’t ignore the sudden restlessness that overtakes him now, a buzzing in his very core that fills his mind with static and his limbs- organic and mechanical alike- with the powerful urge to move.
it’s hard to explain, his need to wander. it’s like every moment he’s not traveling, he can almost feel the infinite borders of hels expanding, spreading into new horizons, and the thought of staying put is unbearable. it doesn’t matter if he actually goes beyond the loaded chunks or not- a feat that’d take years, to be sure. just getting on the move again is enough to quiet the itch.
(it didn’t use to be this way. it didn’t start until after he built his communicator into his new arm, fusing himself with it- but he’ll never admit this, never confront the possibility that it might’ve been a mistake. it’s easier just to leave.)
besides, he still enjoys the various business he gets up to with the other denizens of hels. his services as a redstoner and a data analyst are in high demand, and he has a reputation to uphold. he can’t throw all that away to stay here. that just wouldn’t make sense. it wouldn’t be logical.
patho reaches for the clock at his hip. it was the first gift dbubs gave him. early into patho’s first stay, dbubs decided he needed a clock of his own, so he’d always know when it was time for them to sleep. based on its position, nightfall is only a couple hours away.
“well, c’mon!” dbubs pesters him, his haughty voice echoing off the smooth walls of the cliffside. “what’re you- what, are ya scared of a lil water? huh? just- you just try and beat my record, you- i bet you can’t!”
“alright, alright,” patho chuckles, shrugging his jacket off. “you asked for it…”
won’t be long, now.
~*~
that night, patho leaves his eye on.
dbubs, curled beside him, notices this immediately, and deep down, he knows what it means. it took a while- how long, he isn’t sure- for patho to grow comfortable enough to turn his cybernetic eye off while they slept. but ever since then, he does it every night… up until the last night. every last night, like clockwork.
already, dbubs can feel the familiar weight of sleep trying to take him. caught in the jungle’s day-night cycle, he has little choice in the matter; he sleeps every night without fail. but he fights it anyway, biting back a yawn.
“tomorrow,” dbubs starts quietly, “uh, do you wanna- i- i had this idea for a new build, a perfect build, of course, and i’m gonna need a- a super smelter, for- uh, for all the terracotta-“
“dbubs.” that solitary red eye gazes out from the dark. “you know i’m not made for staying.”
dbubs shies away from the words like an insect from sudden light. “and- and so i was thinking,” he continues, as if patho hadn’t spoken, “we could do a uh, you know, maybe a bamboo farm? for the- for the fuel? i- my perfect redstone prowess could make this easy- easily, of course, but um… i uh- euugh, you- you know they always say, sure enough, that two brains- uh, two geniuses, genii, are better’n one.”
“yeah?” patho breathes a soft, empty laugh. “is that what they say?”
“and- well, yes! yes, of course!” darkness creeps in from the edges of dbubs’s vision; he clings tighter to patho. “and… and uh n’you can learn all ‘bout my new… new dbubs redstone clock… pat- patented design, a‘course…”
“of course.” patho’s lips brush across his forehead. “better get some rest, then.”
dbubs struggles to keep his eyes open, but it’s as if his lashes are lined with iron. he presses his face in the crook of patho’s neck, breathing him in, that redstone-and-gunpowder scent; bitter and metallic.
“don’t,” he murmurs, consciousness escaping him quickly. “please…?”
“night, dbubs.”
the jungle sleeps.
~*~
far from the jungle, patho lays down in a shallow cave carved from netherrack.
168 fps t: inf fancy-clouds b: 15x15 3 tx 3 rx c: 695/41672 (s) d: 16, pc: 000, pu: 00, ab: 42 e: 15/109, b: 0, sd: 9 p: 27 t: 109 error fc:0 xyz: -11, 987.629 / 30.91778 / 252,896.204 block: -11,987 30 252,896 chunk: -780 15 7,835 facing: east (towards positive x)(1.5/5) client light: 2 (0 sky, 2 block) biome: error:nether waste local difficulty: 6.75//0.00 (day error404 not found) sounds: 5/247 + 0/8
he’s put enough distance between himself and the jungle that he’s confident he can sleep for a few hours before setting off again. the surrounding biome is one he’s well familiar with; barren and empty. with a wall put up to shelter him from mobs, he’s finally safe enough to turn his eye off.
that won’t be the case anymore, once he gets closer to the more populated chunks. the risk of being caught with one eye nonfunctional is too high. it’s just something he has to deal with.
(of course, he could’ve built a cybernetic replacement that simply functioned like the eye he lost, but he thought himself clever and built in a data processor to provide him with valuable information, giving him an advantage over anyone else in his field. so this is the price he pays for it.)
he reaches for his clock. there’s only a couple hours left before the sun will rise, unseen beyond the bedrock ceiling, and dbubs will wake to an empty bed.
but for now, patho tucks the clock to his ear and closes his eyes, letting the steadfast ticking finally lull him to sleep.

Could you talk about the new animatic you're doing? I just recently followed you here so idk if you've talked about it other than the one lineart post I saw but I would LOVE to know literally anything about it you're willing to share, including but not limited to the main focus/themes and just ramblings about the process of making it so far etc etc.
I love your works of art sorry for the block of text!! And it's cool if you'd rather it all be a surprise I am just very interested :)
Thank you dear anon!!! I love blocks of text please go on
There are some things that I can tell right now!
It is an animatic about Saint's campaign and the most important thing that I want to put in is probably my opinion about ascention of FP and LTTM. So I kinda lied when called it "Saint animatic", Saint have maybe 50% of time
By the way I really struggle with drawing iterators. Their proportions are always shifting from frame to frame... you just should know I TRIED make it look ok
For the Tiny Alien lineart I used brush sized 9 and for this one animatic I use 3. I want it to look less cartoony this time. It made lineart even harder and longer 😭
Fortunately it is over, now for the flat colors, my absolutely favorite part of any drawing. Then shading and lighting. This is annoying part of work but makes things look cool :D
There's not much new here, you're right, I don't want to tell a lot now, let it be a secret :)

Here's some things i found from the new update.
so, obviously, Spoilers!
TWs: Eyes, Unsettling imagery, derealisation, ect.
(I've been looking at this site for 6 hours now.... hhhh)
The drawings
When you first enter the site, a drawing of Home starts to appear. If you click on it, It will link you to a page labelled "I". You can find many other similar drawing all over the website, even one of the missing 404 page/end of website page all with singular words for a name.
These drawings usually link up to Wally Voice lines. The voice lines even match up to make a "conversation" between you and Wally.
Links to the voicelines:

2. The bugs.
You've most likely noticed all the bugs roaming the website. If you click on them, They'll link to a series of 14 videos (mostly audio). The URL usually contains two letters, those being the characters taht star in the video (for example, the first one is ph, which is Poppy and Howdy).

I didn't find this one on my own, I found it on @/krasytoonz blog!
In the Playfellow Exhibition, under all the photos is a link to a page called "crack-the-code". The page honestly gives me a total blank, but apparently it gives the password is "BSPJW". Click on the paper, then the safe to enter the password. You can enjoy the rest from there :]
I hope this helps or something. (I'm sorry for not telling where I've found them all exactly, I can't quite remember.)

hey, love! :D 🖤❤️
may i ramble a bit about the RBR strategy? there's some lestappen even there! haha
i've read a few sources and looked at data and i think that Red Bull strategy in hindsight was fucked up from the beginning but when they understood their mistake, they tried to optimize the result.
RBR were looking at McLaren as their opponent and hadn't considered Mercedes. and Mercs had already made the best choice at FPs.
Merc's compounds for the race were 1 fresh medium and 2 fresh hards whereas every other top team had 2 mediums and 1 hard. it might be because Mercs are known for their preference to harder compounds and colder whether (may be one of the reasons why they were so competitive in Silverstone). but it gave them quite a large pitting window.
Lewis undercut Max, pitting very early on lap 16., because he knew he had 2 long lasting sets that work well for their car. his second pitstop (lap 40.) was therefore also earlier, because he had another set of hards and could do the same long stint. it left RBR two options: follow Lewis for early pitstop and then just survive on medium to an end or make a stint as long as they can and then have fresher and faster tyres, catch up and attack. what's interesting, Charles was much more of an obstacle than everyone supposed. Ferrari chose first option (Charles went to pits at the same time as Lewis), RBR went for a second and lasted 9 laps more.
and RBR strategy worked well. Max cought up with Lewis and Charles in 3-5 laps after pitting (sorry i don't remember precisely). and then Charles defended which made Max lose his tyres. when he finally overtook Charles and went for Lewis, his advantage was just about 0.2-3 second per lap and his only chance was agressive driving. and well. we saw how it ended.
dunno what to say as a conclusion, lestappen is lestappening though atm in not so obvious ways. and Hannah Schmitz is still a legend. so yeah, RBR didn't consider Mercs but when they understood what has happened they tried their best. and if Charles didn't detain Max for that couple of laps, Max would end up on podium.
i may be incorrect, i'm not a strategist, these are just some analysis, hope you enjoyed! 🖤❤️🖤
Thank you so much for this beautiful insight, Denis! This all makes a lot of sense. 🖤❤️
No wonder Max was pissed, and went hard immediately after getting out of the pits to try and salvage some of the race after the strategy was fucked up by the team.
I can't wait to see the strategy for Spa. 👀

I trust your opinion on so many things. so if you would, humor me, and explain to me why I find no “comedic” episode of the X-Files past Clyde Bruckmans even remotely funny. Maybe War of the Coprophages. I find myself irritated when I watch Jose Chungs, Bad Blood. What is the difference you think?
I know I’ve said it on here and I’m not sure if you’ve read the post, but I consider the X-Files to belong to the horror genre, and not necessarily even science fiction.
I can’t even begin to describe what this does for my opinions for seasons 7,8, 9 and beyond.
Hmmm... I think it would depend on which episodes you do like.
But let's speculate~. >:D
I think horror has very specific beats whereas sci-fi is more exploratory and loosely constructed. Ironically, the comedic episodes largely fit into the latter rather than the former category, in my opinion.
Do you feel the comedic episodes achieve nothing? Clyde teaches Scully something about herself, imprints that perspective onto her. Whereas Coprophages is more about infatuation and delusion than the truth, Jose Chung slips the truth through the cracks, and Bad Blood is a fun romp in Texas. There's no real "lesson" to be had from the latter adventures. (My sis describes Clyde as "a story that happens to have comedy" whereas the others are "pure comedy.")
Maybe it's Scully: are your favorite episodes more Scully-centric? Or episodes where she learns and grows alongside Mulder? Squeeze, for example; or Conduit, Darkness Falls, Memento Mori, etc.
Maybe the other comedies split she and Mulder apart ideologically but don't bridge the gap?
Perhaps the "nature of humanity" that is explored in the comedic episodes weigh less in your estimation of actual, on-the-ground discovery and investigation?
Or perhaps you like episodes where Mulder and Scully aren't passive observers, where they aren't just "part of this mess that is going on?" (another sis quote.)
But on the other hand, do you prefer horror to sci-fi? Or maybe the format of sci-fi scratches your itch less on reruns?
This fascinates me because I like the comedy episodes. Most of them. (FPS, however....) The only one that didn't make me laugh was Humbug-- except for Mulder's "pose" at the end. But then again, they're all kind of rambly-- which I don't mind-- and are more about exploring the human condition than horrifying realities.
What say you?
#asks#settle-down-frohike#comedy episodes#meta#thoughts#honored to be asked to tackle this#but uh I am but a noob stumbling in the dark#your take fascinates me though

hi hi!! I wanted to request headcannons of the main 4 with a wheelchair bound reader!! something simple like ranking them based on how well the push the reader around! please don't feel pressured to write this as I know it may be uncomfortable to write about these types of things💕 hope you're doing fine and make sure to rest well!!
HELLO !! I absolutely can ! <3 Thank u for the request !! I didn't know if you wanted individual head canons or not, but I hope this is alr too !! If this is potentially offensive plz plzz don't hesitate to tell me D: ( I apologize if this is short too, I'll make it up to yall next time SWEARRR )
⊹₊⋆ Thank You For Your Help!ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁
⊹₊⋆ Gn!Disabled!Reader x K.Zoldyck, G.Freecss, L.Paradinight, K.Kurtaᶻ 𝗓 𐰁
╰┈➤ Ranking system & what they do to support you!
༉‧₊˚. Start !༉‧₊˚.
• The most you can rely on? It's EASILY Leorio.
• He's literally a medic student ??? He's trained to do that ?!?!?! He's ranked at the top of the list, no doubt.
• You can always ask Leorio for help if you want to be pushed around if you don't want to use your arms, it can be tiring sometimes, after all.
• He always asks if the pace he's going is appropriate and if it's not too fast or too slow for you whenever he has the chance to push you to your desired location.
• Fret not, he's always patient when it comes to know. He's the most understanding about your condition, and will do anything in his power to support you if its within his power.
• In some cases where you need help for reaching, boom he's there ASAP. With his height? Mans more than happy to grab it for you.
• Your overall experience will be a 10/10 I promise you. He will be the absolute best !
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
• Next in the rank is none other than our beloved Kurapika Kurta!
• While he isn't experienced and an expert in this field unlike Leorio, he's definitely on the gentle side and much more experienced rather than Gon and Killua.
• He's busy in many cases, so it's hard to rely on him all the time D: But he makes it up by giving you extra help the next time he can !
• Honestly he would be placed at 3rd for his unavailability, but his responsibility is what places him at 2nd. He's aware of your limits, and he's very gentle with his actions.
• Your overall experience ? A solid 9. Again, since he's constantly unavailable, it's hard to ask for help. But since he knows what he's doing, he gets plus points from you!
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
• And third on our list is... Gon!
• Yes, surprisingly it's Gon. Why? Because he definitely knows how to help people with disabilities.
• He grew up taking care of his grandma, and being responsible for things around the house. This guy? Having 0 knowledge for the disabled? Paint me shocked.
• The reason why he's on the 3rd is, well; because he's a child and he doesn't have much experience unlike Leorio and Kurapika.
• There's also in many cases where he subconsciously goes too fast for your liking, and you're unable to say it because you can't find the right timing.
• Don't worry! He soon acknowledges this and sincerely apologizes and then continues to push you at a comfortable speed.
• He's very patient with you! He knows how hard it is to be unable to walk and he sympathizes with you a bunch, so you can always count on him to be present when you need something.
• Overall experience would be an 8/10! 8 Because he can sometimes slip up and be too fast for your liking as stated before, and because he can be a bit bouncy when he walks, making your wheelchair bounce a bit too.
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
• Last on our list is none other than Killua.
• 'm aware 'm supposed to be a Killua fp but we can collectively agree that Killua probably doesn't have the patience for this..
• He's a good guy, but he constantly has to jump, run, and jog around. That's just how he is ! Springy as hell.
• When he does push you around though, it's kind of a bumpy ride for you, literally. He's constantly shaking his leg if he has to stand still, making your wheel chair subtly shake too, when he pushes you he sometimes pushes it like a shopping cart..
• He's trying better tho I promise, js give him some time because he has never EVER tried to do this until you.
• He won't hesitate to help you in other aspects, so that's an addition!
• Your overall experience would be a 6/10. + 1 for being considerate ( He loves u tho dw )
༉‧₊˚. End !༉‧₊˚.
Thank you for reading ! This strictly belongs to me / killuakiru and I do not give permission for you to repost on other platforms, thank you !

As 400 million Europeans get set to elect 720 EU parliamentarians in June, polls are predicting big gains for right-wing populists. As a result, for the first time since the European Parliament was directly elected in 1979, it is expected to have a solid majority on the right. This will mark a “sharp right turn for Europe, the European Council of Foreign Affairs (ECFR) recently noted. The consequences for European politics and policy are already coming into view.
The center-right European People’s Party (EPP) and the left-leaning Socialists and Democrats party (S&D) are again expected to finish in first and second place, although both may lose a handful of seats. The EU’s far-right groups, Identity and Democracy (ID) and the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR), will improve their tally mainly at the expense of liberals and Greens. According to ECFR, populists are likely to be the top vote-getter in nine countries, including Austria, the Netherlands, France, Hungary, Poland, and Italy. In nine others, including Spain and Germany, they could emerge as strong second or third-place contenders.
ID—which includes the main anti-immigrant and Eurosceptic parties in Germany (Alternative for Deutschland or AfD), France (National Rally), and Italy (the League or Lega)—is likely to become the EU parliament’s third-largest group after elections are held between June 6 and 9. The ECR is led by Georgia Meloni, Italy’s prime minister and leader of the post-fascist Brothers of Italy party, and is home to Sweden’s Sweden Democrats and Poland’s Law and Justice party (PiS). If authoritarian Hungarian leader Viktor Orban’s Fidesz party, a member of the EPP until a few years ago, joins the ECR as expected, the far-right could claim a quarter of the total seats.
Political machinations already seem to be underway among some establishment parties to create cooperation with this newly powerful bloc. Experts say if the EPP, the strongest conservative party in the EU, welcomes far-right politicians in its fold or co-opts their policies, as it has lately been accused of, the balance of power in Europe will decisively shift to the right and have major implications for not just the EU’s common agenda but may also influence how member states decide critical policies.
“I think in our campaign we will ask the EPP to be pragmatic, to pick the alternative to a center-left majority,” Marco Campomenosi, a Lega politician and the head of the Italian delegation in ID, told Foreign Policy.
Experts say any such shift will have major implications for the EU as a whole, tainting its recent promises to pursue a humane migration policy and to establish rule of law at home that encourages democratic checks and balances. An empowered far-right may also keep coordination on a common defense policy to the bare minimum in the face of a looming threat from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The EU’s flagship Green Deal climate framework, which has set a goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, is also at stake, as the populists try to push the EU to erode its commitment to renewable energy development and other climate policies.
Charlie Weimers, a member of the far-right Sweden Democrats that supports Sweden’s minority center-right government, said, his party’s priority is to push for a “Migration Pact 2.0,” with more stringent measures to stop the influx of immigrants than already listed in the new migration pact. “We need to stop asylum,” he told FP over the phone. “We need breathing space to deal with the immigrants already here otherwise we can never catch up.”
Lega’s Campomenosi said, “it’s not about the money” but about the “trouble” immigrants make. (Under the new migration pact an EU member state which refuses to accept an asylum seeker should pay a sum of 20,000 euros to an EU fund.) “If there are too many immigrants they can’t be integrated,” he added.
Three far-right parliamentarians told FP that with bigger numbers in Parliament they will be able to apply more pressure on the EU commissioner to throw out or dilute the green deal.
It “needs to go away,” Joachim Kuhs, the acting head of the AfD delegation in EU which is polling as the second strongest party in Germany, told FP in his office in the parliament. “It should be repealed and replaced,” Weimers added.
The liberal groups say the center-right has strengthened the far-right by co-opting its policies and forming alliances in individual member states.
Pedro Marques, a vice president of the S&D group, said the EPP parties have been “eroding the Cordon Sanitaire,” erected to keep the far-right out of governments and important positions. “The EPP is dancing with the far right,” he added, with grave consequences for the future of the union.
The cordon sanitaire is crumbling in many European nations. In Italy, the far-right is in power, in Sweden the center-right government is backed by the far-right. In Austria, center-right and far-right have been in a coalition, and the latter is polling ahead of all others in the run up to national elections. In France, Marine Le Pen is leading the polls, and in Germany, the conservatives have hinted at future cooperation at a regional level with the far-right AfD.
The legitimization of the far-right isn’t limited to member states. Ursula Von Der Leyen, a member of the EPP and EU commissioner, has alluded to Meloni’s inclusion in her grouping. She said it wasn’t clear which parties will remain in the ECR after the elections and which will leave, and “join EPP.”
Hans Kundnani, writer of a book called Eurowhiteness, said the boundaries between the ID, ECR and the EPP have always been “very fluid.”
“As soon as Meloni indicated she won’t be disruptive in the Eurozone, that she won’t be pro-Russian, centrist pro-European EPP said that’s great, we don’t mind,” Kundnani said. “The center right has no problem with far-right at all, they just have a problem with those who are Eurosceptic.”
Experts say Von Der Leyen has often backed off on key policies to appease the far-right. Just over the last few months as the farmers protested against the provisions of the green deal, the far-right found another issue to mobilize against mainstream parties. During election season, Von Der Leyen quickly conceded and granted several concessions to the agriculture sector that will affect the 2050 net zero target.
The best example of how the EU commissioner validated the far-right’s worldview, Kundnani argued, was when she created a post for an EU commissioner to promote a European way of life.
“The big theme of the European far-right is that the immigrants threaten European civilization,” he said. When Von Der Leyen created the position, she framed “immigration as a threat to the European way of life,” and in doing so legitimized the far-right.
It is unclear if co-opting the far-right’s talking points benefits the center right in keeping their traditional voters from moving towards populists, but there is an emerging consensus that it strengthens the radical right in the longer run. For its part, the far-right has moderated its own positions on many issues to appeal to the voters more to the center. The far-right parties say they are no longer calling for an exit from the EU, but merely to reform it from within. They say they back Ukraine and not Putin.
Many parties on the far-right advocate return of border controls in violation of the EU’s founding principle of free movement of people and goods. Last year, the AfD described the EU as a “failed project,’’ while Sweden Democrats said they had “good reasons to seriously reevaluate our membership in the union.” There is still a lingering suspicion that the rank-and-file members of the far-right parties harbor sympathy for Putin. Last month, Lega’s leader Matteo Salvini deflected when asked if he blamed Putin for Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s sudden death.
The parliamentarians of the ID and ECR with whom FP spoke expressly rejected Von Der Leyen’s proposal to appoint a dedicated defense commissioner to improve coordination among member states on matters of defense.
“We say that we want to manage immigration in a humane way, we can do better to manage the borders,” added Marques of the S&D. In response to the far-right’s demand to externalize the screening of asylum seekers, he said it was difficult to find credible partners. “We did this agreement with the Tunisian authorities, but when we tried to go there to check the conditions, to see how European money will be spent, they said we don’t want your agreement anymore. These have to be credible partnerships.”
The center-left S&D party simply dismisses the moderated stances of far-right parties as a charade. They believe the far-right simply wants the benefits of being in the union, not the costs that sometimes come with upholding its values. “They want an EU without the rule of law, without humanity,” Marques said. “That’s not what we built after the Second World War. They want to change the EU into something that it isn’t. Their values are not European.”

do you have any tips on how to live off as artist professionally?
First of all art isn't always a viable option depending where you live. The only reason ive been able to live off art is because the american dollar is worth 5x more than the brazilian real so even if i didn't get many comms i could still get by with the few i had. and if that wasn't the case I'd pretty much be eating breadcrumbs off the floor like a pigeon.
1. Whore yourself out and draw fanart of every popular or trending thing to gather attention to youe art
2. Learn your platforms: learn how each websites algorithm works, learn what are the best hours to post, etc
3. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find your niche
4. Everyone is fake no one wants to be your friend, other popular artists will start following you the moment your following becomes good enough. They'll start to interact with you too and want to become mutuals in order to share followings/traction. If you can play into that you can get them to share your stuff as well, but honestly don't fall for it bc most of them shittalk other artists on their privs or personal servers and the stress isnt worth it
5. Draw nsfw if possible/if you're comfortable with. People who commission porn pay well and they often have very few options when commissioning stuff bc most artists don't accept porn commissions.
6. Accept being an artist is a hard job that doesn't pay really well. If you're freelancing on comms life's always going to be a tightrope, so i suggest trying to do professional work once in a while so you can at least have the security of a salary. Draw backgrounds, gestures, scenes, studies, and the likes, bc those are what companies will want in your portfolio
7. Depending where you live it's extremely hard to live off as an artist, and being an artist is often means a very difficult struggle with finances. It's a job that requires passion, and more often than not turning art in a job causes creative burnout and complete loss of spark for it. Ask yourself: why do you want to be a professional artist? Isn't it better to keep it as a hobby? Maybe a side gig if you need money? You can still pursue art even if you don't do it to earn money, and it doesn't make you any less of an artist. It's a difficult job, and you need to understand its not going to be viable at all times and sometimes you'll have to throw in the towel and do something else to survive and there's 0 shame in that.
8. Be professional and courteous with your clients. Don't be a doormat, but don't go around ghosting people or being passive aggressive or taking them for granted and never deliver any product. Doing art for money is a JOB. Treat it like such. Inform your clients about delays, or any issues that may come up.
9. Take care of yourself and by that i mean eat decent food, exercise your arms, get 8 hours of sleep and get some sun (or take vitamin D periodically if youre a basement dweller). This isn't some self care uwu shit, it's actual science that your body is a machine and not providing what it needs to function leads to issues, and some of those issues include affecting your mental health, and mental health issues include and are not limited to: anxiety, depression, burnout, loneliness, feeling like your art sucks, feeling unmotivated, feeling like you're a failure, etc. Same with physical: for the love of GOD you DON'T want wrist issues. You dont want carpal or ulnar nerve entrapment. Don't draw 24/7. Don't push yourself either. If youre feeling shitty its time to STOP. Just picture a shitty graphics card trying to run minecraft with 5 shaders and 10 mods at once on fullscreen with 60 fps. Thats you. Youre the graphics card
10. Don't be a bitch, don't get involved with drama. Can't be an internet artist if you get cancelled so don't try to start shit at any point in time. Don't be a shit person.
And from the top of my head thats it, hope you like eating plain bread 🍞

Why do I feel like Etho and Patho would actually really get along well. Like there'd be a minute of "oh shit" then they'd be making some weird machine together.
Also any chance you would be willing to share the story about Patho's clock and maybe info on Hels Bdubs?
(honestly? true. patho isn’t bothered enough w the concept of being a doppelgänger so he’d be chill w etho if etho was chill with him. and etho’s like. always chill. anyway idk if this’ll answer ur questions but here’s uhhhh something)
~*~
patho pauses at the top of the netherrack hill, boots hissing briefly as he shifts off a magma block.
xyz: -12,485.167 / 67.09835 / 253,295.942
the coordinates ever-present within his field of view tell him he should be another hundred or so blocks away in the z axis, but he can already see the jungle’s grown since his last visit. it’s been slowly overtaking the neighboring nether waste biome for a couple decades, now. rate of growth has held constant, unchanging. that's something, at least.
patho slowly scans the horizon. words and numbers flash across the left half of his vision as his cybernetic eye rapidly processes new information based on visual input: netherrack, netherrack, crimson nylium, grass, jungle wood, jungle wood, jungle leaves, weeping vine. light level 3, 3, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4. there's a lava pool eleven blocks over in the x axis; light level 15.
he starts walking again.
153 fps t: inf fancy-clouds b: 15x15 3 tx 3 rx c: 695/41672 (s) d: 16, pc: 000, pu: 00, ab: 42 e: 23/109, b: 0, sd: 9 p: 18 t: 109 error fc:0 xyz: -12,487.331 / 65.21091 / 253,375.987 block: -12,487 65 253,375 chunk: -780 15 7,835 facing: south (towards positive z)(1.5/5) client light: 5 (0 sky, 5 block) biome: error:nether waste local difficulty: 6.75//0.00 (day error404 not found) sounds: 5/247 + 0/8
the data shifts with every step. he's learned to tune most of it out by now, only paying attention to the biome indicator as he crosses the chunk threshold.
biome: error:crimson jungle
particles and sounds immediately jump up a couple degrees. glowing red specks dance slowly in the air, mingling with the ambient noises; hoglins rooting around in the brush, parrots calling unseen from the canopy above, lava bubbling in a pool nearby.
p: 35 sounds: 23/247
the temperature is warmer here. patho shrugs off his jacket, letting it hang at his elbows as he picks his way through the jungle. he doesn't even need to think about where he's going, coordinates left ignored at the edge of his vision. he's taken this path many times before, and he never has to wander very long.
his boots crunch softly on the nylium and grass terrain. jungle leaves and crimson fungus alike brush at his shoulders as he ducks underneath branches, taking care not to get tangled in weeping vines.
this is his favorite jungle. it's not the only crimson jungle he's ever come across- not to mention the warped jungles- but out of all the biomes he's seen, it's the one with the greenest leaves. something about this jungle sustains the normal trees just as well as it does the fungi, allowing the grass and leaves to stay bright and full instead growing in wilted and brown. it makes a lovely contrast with the blood red fungi.
not for the first time, he's thankful that the jungle is far enough away from spawn to be left alone. if other players knew about this place, with its well-sustained passive mob spawning and greenery, they'd destroy it for resources for sure. but he never worries too much about that possibility, because no mob or player sets foot in this jungle without permission from-
a weeping vine suddenly sprouts from the ground and lashes around patho's leg.
it's quickly joined by several more, snaking out from the undergrowth to wrap around his other limbs. before he can blink, he's lifted off the ground and pulled up into the trees. he doesn't struggle, doesn't panic- this is nothing new to him. the vines string him up among the highest branches, where a familiar figure is crouched in front of him, nothing but a pair of glowing red eyes beneath a heap of moss.
<player>dat -7063fdce-39ac-4a12-d836-a990c45b2bb0
"hey, dbubs," patho says casually.
the figure straightens up, hood falling back to reveal his face. his huge red eyes are sparkling with excitement, despite the dark circles lining them, and his mouth falls open in a wide, sharp-toothed grin. vines of varying shapes and sizes curl lazily around his body, small tendrils sprouting from the mossy cloak he wears. a couple veins of red discolor his skin, crawling up his neck and across his face. his messy hair is a bit whiter than the last time patho saw him, tinged red at the roots. a clock hangs around his neck, to match the one hanging from patho's hip.
"patho!" dbubs practically shouts, throwing his arms out.
sounds: 24/247
before dbubs can say anything else, patho asks his usual question. “what’s your name?”
“what’s my-” dbubs blinks, works his jaw for a second. “GODSLAYER666,” he proclaims loudly, puffing his chest out. then he pauses, frowns. “wait, no, i- i don’t know why i just said that. uh…”
it’s somewhere in the middle, then. not as bad as his worst days- at least he’s aware he’s lying, even if he has no control over it. and patho has to admit, that's one of the most entertaining responses dbubs has ever given to his little test.
"uh huh." patho shifts in the web of vines. they're holding a bit tighter than normal. of course, he could still easily break out of them. if he wanted to. "did you miss me, dbubs?" he asks instead, his voice teasing.
dbubs throws his head back to let out a sharp laugh, sending a shower of red particles fluttering through the air. "what?" he demands incredulously, his eyes blown wide. "miss you? i d- eugh, n'you stupid- i- i didn't even notice you were gone!"
patho hums with amusement. "then you don't wanna, like, kiss me or anything?"
"no," dbubs insists stubbornly, even as he comes closer. he steps boldly into patho's space, hands coming up to grab his face. "no, no of course not, i don't..." his long eyelashes flutter as he looks patho up and down. he smells like moss; like old vegetation and decay. there's soil and dried blood caked under his fingernails. "why would i- you ha- you have a lotta nerve..." dbubs tugs at the left strap of patho's mask, tilting his head. "do i- uh, do i get to see ya?" he asks, expression suddenly eager.
"yeah," patho chuckles.
dbubs grins widely, pulling patho's mask down. for a moment, he just looks at him. his calloused hand scuffs along the metal parts of patho's face- the entire ramus of his left mandible and most of his cheekbone, lost in the explosion that took his eye. the remaining skin is rough with scar tissue. dbubs strokes his thumb along that, too.
"i lo- um, i- i hate your stupid face," dbubs mumbles before he finally kisses patho. he seems to process his words a second later, breaking away with a small gasp of "oh! i d-", but patho simply leans in again, reclaiming his lips.
he knows what dbubs meant.
~*~
dbubs spares patho the trouble of walking, simply having the vines carry him to the hideaway. it's a difficult base to categorize: part tree house, part nest, part garden. in some places the floor is made of wood- in others, just a thick layer of leaves. there are potted plants and hanging vines everywhere, interspersed among stacks of barrels and moldy bookcases. little red mushrooms sprout from walls made of thatch and tree trunks. a couple of shroomlights provide gentle lighting as glittery particles drift through the open air; red, from the biome itself, and green from the spore blossom that patho brought him last year.
the vines unceremoniously drop patho onto the makeshift bed- a mat of moss and old, shredded banners. he's barely gotten settled, pulling his mask up and pulling his jacket off, before dbubs flops onto him with a heavy wuff.
"so!" dbubs starts loudly, propping his elbows up on patho's stomach. "what brings ya to see ol' dbubs today, huh?"
patho huffs a laugh. "what, i can't just stop by to say hi?"
"oh sure, okay." dbubs rolls his eyes, one of his vines flicking through the air dismissively. "you j- yeah, okay, be all secretive, then! see if i care." his haughty demeanor doesn't last long, though, as he shimmies up a little further, arms folded on patho's chest. "d'you- uh, do you wanna hear what i've been doin'?"
patho sighs good-naturedly, shifting so he can tuck his arms behind his head and lean back against the wall. "alright, go ahead."
dbubs beams at him and immediately starts telling lies. he tells patho about all the amazing things he's built (the jungle looks the same), all the incredible battles he's fought (no one's entered the jungle in years), all the wonderful places he's gone (he can't leave the jungle).
but patho doesn't mind that it's all lies. he's content to listen anyways.
they carry on like this until dbubs suddenly pauses, scrambling for his clock. "uh oh! gotta schreep."
patho glances at his own clock; dbubs is right on time, as always. that's one thing he never lies about. "okay, okay," he says, pushing dbubs off- he hits the moss with a soft thump. "lemme get my anchor."
"well, hurry up already!" dbubs shouts impatiently, vines swatting at patho's arm as he pops down his ender chest.
after placing the anchor and setting his spawn, patho reaches up and presses his finger directly into the center of his left eye, shutting it off.
he doesn’t regret putting a data processor into his cybernetic eye; the information it’s given him is invaluable. but every now and then, he needs a break from it. even when his eyes are closed, the display is still active, showing blank values on the back of his eyelid. turning the eye off is the only way to make it go away- of course, at the price of half his vision. so he only does it if he’s sleeping somewhere fully secure, and if he’s alone.
the jungle is an exception. dbubs has full domain out here- no mob or player can come close to his home without him allowing it.
"finally," dbubs huffs as patho settles back down. he's quick to cling with both his arms and assorted vines.
patho can't help but chuckle. "what's that you said about not missing me?"
"oh, shut up!"
~*~
patho abruptly reenters consciousness, emerging from a deep, dreamless sleep. with a soft groan, he fumbles to turn on his cybernetic eye, wincing at the sudden influx of data.
149 fps t: inf fancy-clouds b: 15x15 3 tx 3 rx c: 695/41672 (s) d: 16, pc: 000, pu: 00, ab: 42 e: 1/109, b: 0, sd: 9 p: 52 t: 109 error fc:0 xyz: -12,587.412 / 96.77253 / 253,401.623 block: -12,587 96 253,401 chunk: -783 15 7,845 facing: north (towards negative z)(1.5/5) client light: 7 (0 sky, 7 block) biome: error:crimson jungle local difficulty: 6.75//0.00 (day error404 not found) sounds: 27/247 + 0/8
"goooood morning!" dbubs calls, over on the other side of the little nook. he's busy rummaging through barrels, perhaps trying to find some breakfast. it’s unlikely he has any food stored; when he’s hungry, he hunts, and the jungle always provides.
"mornin'," patho says, rubbing his face. he sits up- and then pauses. there are weeping vines wrapped tightly around his legs. he sighs. “dbubs, you’re doing it again.”
“what?" dbubs manages to sound surprised. "no! no, i’m not, i’m- i’m just over here, minding my own business, crafting a loom.”
“a loom,” patho repeats flatly.
“yes! for um, for banners.”
“do you even have any wool?”
“do i ha- uh, of course! yes, of course i do.”
“can i see it?”
“no. no, i- i just ate it, actually. um-”
“you ate it?”
“yeah. sorry.”
patho sighs again. he kicks the weeping vines away. "i uh, i didn't mean to be gone for so long," he says, rising to his feet. "but, you know, i- i got held up with a job."
"a job?" dbubs glances over his shoulder at patho, squinting. "what kinda job?"
patho stretches his arms above his head, hearing both his natural and mechanical shoulder joints pop. "some guys out west are tryin' to make a portal out of hels."
"a portal?" dbubs's mouth falls open. "oh, for goodness sakes- and you call me a liar!"
patho knows better than to take offense. "it's true. they've got a player who came here from another world."
"uh huh." dbubs scoffs, but he can't quite hide the anxious shimmer in his eyes. "yeah, yeah, sure... so- i mean, did you do it, then? make them a portal?"
"basically." patho shrugs. "i uh, i told them everything they needed to know, to make one."
"right. you told th- okay." dbubs nods, bites his lip. "um- you didn't stay? to see the portal? or, uh…”
patho chuckles, crossing the distance to put his arms around dbubs's waist. "nah. i mean, come on, you know me, dbubs. i'm a- i'm a hels player, through and through. what's the rest of the universe got that's better than this place, right?"
dbubs grins at that, slotting his arms through patho's. "oh, you- you're such an idiot! y'know, i uh, i've been outside'a hels before and i- um, let me tell ya, you're missing out!"
"mhmm." patho smiles even though his mask is on. he knows dbubs can tell.
"yeah! "dbubs nods vigorously. "and, uh, there's- i got a whole world that's just mine!"
"is that right?" patho rests his chin on the top of dbubs's head. "tell me about it."
"it's a beautiful world, of course. my perfect builds, i ha-"
"of course."
"- uh, hey! quit interruptin'!"
"sorry, sorry."
"i di- thank you. so i um, i built a big ol' crastle, with a- hyeugh, a sorta um, horse course... y'know, with th- with the fastest horses anyone ever saw, one-stick horses, and- and uh, everyone was really impressed…”
this won’t last forever. it’ll only be a matter of weeks, months if they’re lucky, before patho won’t be able to ignore the itch to wander again. before the comfort and familiarity of the jungle becomes unbearable. before dbubs grows so used to his presence that the jungle itself tries to overtake him, the way it has dbubs- vines and veins of red.
he’ll leave without warning in the middle of the night, while dbubs is sleeping, because trying to leave while dbubs is awake never ends well. he’ll leave without a word and try not to think about the frantic whispers he knows dbubs sends him on lonely nights, despite knowing patho will never receive them (it’s the only time he regrets fusing his communicator with his arm- but how was he supposed to know he’d hear it in his mind? how was he supposed to know that disabling the chat was the only way not to lose himself completely to the endless flood of data?)
he’ll stay away long enough for dbubs to shatter apart, losing himself to the wildness of the jungle, and come back together. he’ll wait until dbubs has recovered from his grief, so that the next time dbubs sees him there will only be joy. because no matter how many times patho hurts him, dbubs always forgets it eventually.
“… so, you see, ol’ dbubs been workin' on a new technique, using the uh. grade- uh, gradient? block palettes... to create depth. ah hah! so- so listen, now, to teacher! it all starts with the color scheme..."
this won’t last forever. so for now, patho closes his eyes and listens.

I remember as a kid, I was born an only child, and I used to wish I had siblings so I had someone to play with and hang out with
And everyone kept telling me "No you don't, my siblings are awful," "No you really don't, we fight all the time,"
And then I got 4 brothers, and honestly
I was right
I was FUCKING right, this is such a better life than being an only child (personally), I was so lonely back then, and now I have a 17 year old who violently drags me through the kitchen for pretzels that I had first, and I still would not go back to being an only child
He throws things at me and calls me a loser, and I'd still fight a war for him
I've got a 19 y/o who doesn't talk to me much but he still brings me McDonald's and we play pokemon together (even though he's on team In-stink, but we can both agree that Valor is the worst and we team up against them)
I don't talk to my other two brothers much because they live with my dad in another state, but my immediate younger brother, who's 20 now, got me into Minecraft and fps games because we'd play Black-Ops Zombies together all the time when we were kids
And yes, of course we fight, of course they drive me crazy, but I still wouldn't go back to not having brothers at all, I'm so happier like this
And yeah I guess you could argue "They're step brothers, it's not the same as having siblings since birth,"
But even though we didn't always know each other, we still met pretty young and grew up together. I met two of my brothers when I was 11 and the other two when I was maybe 12
I met D and R when I was 11. R was also 11, and D was 13 or 14.
I then met my other two brothers, Re and A. Re was 9 and A was 11.
We're all now adults, except for Re who is 17 and approaching adulthood, so we did still grow up together
I can't remember what this rant was originally supposed to be about, it just turned into a brothers appreciation post
Not that I'd ever let them know that lol, A still makes fun of me for even having tumblr

Behind the illusion
Don't read this if you are afraid of getting your illusion and fantasy destroyed. Read this if you want to embrace this kind of creativity and maybe help in writing stories, reports or snippets from this world.
Some people have asked how I generate this stories and the artwork. It is simple: it's a mixture of midjourney AI generated pictures and processing done in Affinity Publisher. The text are made with the help of ChatGPT after setting a lot of parameters or learning the model.
So how do I make the pictures? I have found pictures look well if you design them around the following prompt:
"A Cinematic Scene from 2023, sci-fi Drama, "Resilience", close up shot, one smiling teenage male cadet in red one piece uniform with shaved head, talking on videoconference, captured by Handheld camera, film directed by Greta Gerwig, Inspiring, toom call, --style raw --ar 21:9"
Midjoruney gives me this for examples and I use the upscale button to make the bigger.
--ar 21:9 = defines a hight and wideness. Here I choose to make the pictures wider. If you do nothing you get 1:1 which you can well use for instagram.
The prompt should be structured like this:
Setting the scene - (closeup, panorama, bird eye,...), then the subject, then more info about the camera, film. it's also possible to go for a style. I often opt for "ODST", by "Syd Mead", or "Tron".
See full instructive article: https://linusekenstam.substack.com/p/tutorial-dynamic-prompting
Also you can use the pan option:
to get these by simple repeating the command:
For angles use this guide
Another technique I like is varying this prompt:
I got this from him:
A photo from first person POV | while climbing through a street at golden hour | talking to a cadet in red body suit with shaved head | like a FPS videogame | from the angle, style of ODST --ar 16:9 --style raw --no helmet
As you can see I used "style of ODST" and "ar 16:9" to have a video game like image. Not every command produces what you want and you have to settle for it sometimes or try.
How to make these into more complex Images?
I do some creative after processing. Lets show on this picture:
As you can see, this is already some interactions of the base prompt. I then copy the picture into Affintiy Publisher:
I then use the image adjustment tools "fx" to change the colours and thus often the moods of the images. So you can make it look like a green tinted night vision image.
Also through publisher I add text overly, the helmet POV corners, symbols, etc...
Items and Mockups
From time to time its nice to have some items and mockups, sometimes in colours that they are not necessarily in real life.
Here in the Accessories page I created everything, except the chastity cage by Midjourney. The prudes don't let you create these things, so for sexual stuff you have to either use things that looks like it or use other sources.
I then combine these images on a bigger DIN A4 sizes canvas, that often emphasises the meaning.
mockup of a red flightsuit uniform on white background --style raw
I usually upscale and then use the picture I like best.
Examples
panorama shot a group ODST paramedic cadet with helmet in red full body armour, shot on Kodak Chrome, marching on a training ground, in the style of double exposure, red and green, mixed race , male --style raw --ar 16:9
a young men with a shaved head trying on some red ODST body armour, workshop, captured by Handheld camera, mixed race; image split into 4, shot from different angle, bright colours --style raw
Angles
Futuristic Filmschool Portrait, young cadet with shaved head in red flightsuit uniform, standing in front of a grey wall, Detailed Face, Minimal Composition, Simplicity, Awardwinning Muted Colors --ar 9:16 --seed 5000
Text
Text and story is an entirely different thing. I use chat GPT after i gave it some basic instructions, biggest problem was to let it write about mind control and chastity without disapproval. I still don't remember how I made it do that.

Hello and happy wip wednesday! :D Please one round for FP chapter 9!
WIP Wednesday | Make me write | The Final Pack
-----
“A little skirmish, a bit of rain, a good run…” He trailed off, his hands falling to his lap, still clutching his dinner. He twitched a smile through the pain of everything they’d given up today.
