Considering the fact that Valentino didn’t win during his Ducati years, that’s even 88.7% of his wins happening during the first half of his 500cc/MotoGP career (11 out of 22 seasons).

If you also consider his 125cc and 250cc years, that’s an additional 4 seasons and 26 wins.

Fun fact : Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards won the 8h of Suzuka together in 2001, riding for Honda (that year, Valentino was riding for the MotoGP factory team while Colin was with them in Superbike). They then became Yamaha teammates in MotoGP from 2005 to 2007.
