”My pants are Visa by Milliken and made sometime in the 80s. My shoes are Steve Madden and ofc I got the shirt from some tourist place in midtown. I like finding pieces that don’t look like they’d go together, and then figuring out how to match them with each other as best I can. I just look for a common color or pattern and roll with it.”

Fashion wise, what is your favorite historical period?
Hmmmm this is hard honestly, cause I can be convinced into any if I see enough pics/paintings tbh. I really like anything post ~1630s or so(I HATE THOSE RENNAISSANCE ERA PANTALOONS) Also oops idk much abt women's fashion bcs I like men's clothing a lot more ;;;; I love suits. love wearing suits. Yeah.
I feel very fond obviously of late 1600s-early 1700s obviously bcs of boy king au. I like how pre-19th century, men's and women's clothing feels pretty evenly matched(in terms of flamboyance and detail.) So much embroidery and ruffles and everything. And I really like breeches, how high waisted they are. I guess I really like the cut of the clothes. Also Napoleonic era, so important to me, I love how high waisted the breeches are, the stockings, the tailed coats, and everything yknow???
I also really like late 1800s-early 1900s as well, mostly bcs of Leyendecker's art. Like if you've seen Oppenheimer, the suits he wears before Los Alamos are soooo perfect to me. I really like how flattering they are to the body, small waist, long legs, broad shoulders aahhhh!!!
If only it were socially acceptable to wear suits all the time 🤧 I find modern fashion to be pretty boring, even if easier
Anyways this is historical me if you even care:

okok so you know how Cyborg Tucker's thing is that, he's completely independent of Tucker and they don't share memories, and they develop his own interests and everything? I'm struggling to think of how he's gonna *dress* you know I've drawn him in so many outfits and I just did not like any of them 😭 looking for something and I don't know what it is so I'd appreciate it if you drop some of your favorite aesthetics or branches of fashion for me to look thru... or suggest some you think would fit him

thinking about getting up extra early tomorrow to trudge to the other thrift store I couldn't go to today, before the dreaded weekly task of Getting Groceries for my parents and Spending 3-4 Hours Trapped in a Car with my Mother 👍

has anyone tried reverse engineering the source code to facade or whatever because i am deeply interested in how that game works
not even in just like, the language processing stuff (i think that's probably just a HUGE tangle of if -> then statements that only picks out certain keywords at certain times)
i mean like,
Tumblr media
(ignore vergil and the gun please)
i am incredibly curious how the code for rendering this scene functions, i am curious how you get this art style, that seems to be 2d shapes pretending to be 3d, with all the weird clipping and compromises,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the broken seam on trip's pants, the weird Blobby Circles that ostensibly make up the neckline of grace's shirt, the weird circle on the elbow coming from something not meant to be seen at this angle.
you can't look up or down and all the textures on the room's geometry warp and distort when they get near the camera, the sky texture scrolls out of view if you clip out of the map.
there's a lot going on here in this engine that i'm 80% sure was coded from scratch just for this game, and i am so curious how you make something that looks this distinct

Ella Norwood (thoughts)
“Midnight, gettin' uptight, where are you? You said you'd meet me, now it's quarter to two…”
“I think of you every night and day. You took my heart, and you took my pride away…”
More D4 but make it 80’s thoughts. I didn’t like young Ella’s outfit in the movie at all! It didn’t even look like anything. I know it was supposed to be patchwork but you can’t match that to gold accessories if she’s literally coming from poverty. There was no shape or flow, and it just looked bad.
Ella’s doll actually has overalls without the weird top—which was a perfect fit for her so I went with that. I added a striped blouse with the classic big shoulders, and of course had her pant legs chinch at the ankles so they don’t catch on stuff while she’s working. The patchwork stays, natch, and I like the braided belt just not gold (maybe a straw or fabric belt).
I think, when she’s chilly, Ella wears SO much denim and has a huge patchwork jacket that she wears that absolutely dwarfs her and makes her look extra tiny.
I wasn’t originally going to keep Ella’s blue hair, but I wanted her to match Bridget so the color stays. And yes, it’s still poofy and curly cause the style works here because it’s the 80’s lol.

“I’m wearing an 80s blazer, 90s gold harem pants, reworked 90s boots, 30s beaded bag, and a gold turban. My style is inspired by all things vintage. I love bringing past beautiful items back to life and styling them in a current way.”
